Doncaster’s very own, Louis Tomlinson, is no stranger to writing and creating music that moves people. This is especially the case with this album as the high-quality production of the band is booming, the crowd’s enthusiasm, and the beautiful songwriting is perfect. There are two personal favourites from this writer, which are ‘We Made It’ and ‘Common People’.

Regardless of whether it’s the atmosphere that is felt between the artist and the crowd or if it is the nostalgia brought with memories of summer 2022 that ‘We Made It’ brings, it’s a fun part of the album. ‘Common People’ is a favourite because of the simple fact it was performed in Sheffield. Too many shows are played in the likes of London, and there are many cities across the UK that have thriving music scenes, which Tomlinson was able to encapsulate in this track.

There is a constant theme running through ‘LIVE’ which is the appreciation of what the artist has through music. No matter if on tracks such as ‘Chicago’ where the talented artist is encouraging the crowd to sing louder, or if it is hearing pure enjoyment from him, this album is truly something special.

Hearing the addictive guitar riffs of ‘Out Of My System’, which was performed in Brisbane, was one thing, but the crowd knowing every word brought a smile to this listener. This body of work is not just a love letter to fans, but it shows how music can connect to others on a much deeper level. 

‘Get as loud as you can’ is shouted from Tomlinson on multiple tracks, which is exactly what every lover of his music is doing as they rundown the tracklist.

Louis Tomlinson's impressive music has once again sent fans wild.

The chart-topper has today announced a brand new album following days of speculation. Tomlinson, 32, has had fans involved in a global puzzle over the past few days, with secret locations across the world revealing hidden messages. But more information has since been released and fans struggled to contain their excitement.

News of Louis' latest record, LIVE, comes two days after the Doncaster-born musician bagged Artist of the Year at the Northern Music Awards, which has been dubbed the 'BRITs of the north'. Since releasing his debut solo album Walls, in 2020, Louis has gone on to achieve success outside of his former band, One Direction.

His debut record was certified Silver, having peaked at Number 4 on the Official UK Charts, as well as bagging two Top Ten singles and a Number One album, Faith in the Future. But he's set to continue smashing boundaries with LIVE. The 15-track record features a song recorded in different cities at different shows from the past three years.

Over the course of three years, Louis has performed over 170 shows, flying to 47 countries and five continents for his Louis Tomlinson World Tour (2020 - 2022) and Faith in the Future World Tour (2023 - 2024). LIVE, features some of his biggest tracks including Out Of My System, Walls and We Made It, as well as various tracks loved by his fans, Louies, live for the first time.

Speaking about the record, Tomlinson commented: "I've been lucky enough to spend the last 3 years touring the world twice over. The feeling I get sharing those live moments will be with me forever. To be able to record these songs from all over the world and put them out as an album like this feels so special, and a real tribute to the fans who make each and every show feel unique and incredible. But adding to the mystery, Tomlinson is releasing in both digital, which is out now and physical form. The Physical edition which is released on August 23 includes a double CD and LP picture disc vinyl, along with a Tour Book, with fans being able to submit messages to be included in the publication.

One track which will certainly delight fans is a recording of One Direction's mega-hit, Where Do Broken Hearts Go. Fans have since shared their excitement, with one writing: "'This record is a true collaboration between me and you', SCREAMING, CRYING." A second penned: "I'm fully sobbing right now."

"This live album is a celebration of you coming so far, performing in arenas like O2 and now some of the largest stadiums, and the artist-fan relationship we share. I'm so proud of everything you have achieved," commented a third.

Louis, who has experimented with his sound, including punk rock, indie pop, EDM and soft rock is currently preparing for the final shows of his Faith In The Future World Tour which he kicked off on May 26, 2023, with his final show being on September 8, 2024, as part of Superbloom Festival.

Schwartz said she was initially reluctant to take the assignment because she did not want to look at visual images of potential assaults and because she lacked the expertise to conduct such an investigation.

This is stunning.

The fear among Times staffers who have been critical of the paper’s Gaza coverage is that Schwartz will become a scapegoat for what is a much deeper failure. Schwartz said as much in an interview with Israeli Army Radio on December 31. “The New York Times said, ‘Let’s do an investigation into sexual violence’ — it was more a case of them having to convince me,” she said. Her host cut her off: “It was a proposal of The New York Times, the entire thing?”

“Unequivocally. Unequivocally. Obviously. Of course,” she said. “The paper stood behind us 200 percent and gave us the time, the investment, the resources to go in-depth with this investigation as much as needed.”

I'm not the best at serious posts, but that article up there reminded me of how important it is that people like you stand up for us. So hold on while I try to get this out of my mushy end-of-work-day brain.

We could fight this fight ourselves for decades trying to reach the equal laws, gender affirming trans healthcare that doesn't have a 2-5+ soul-eating years of waiting time, medical care with equal knowledge of lgbtqia+ bodies, and, what is often forgotten, inclusion in the little everyday areas of life like our way of speaking or things being set up or designed with the existence of queer people in mind.

But you joining in could get us there so much faster.

The power you have as a hetero cis person is that you set the standard for what is seen as the average way of treating us among other hetero cis people. You have been given the power of deciding what's "normal" and I'm begging you to use it.

Richard Green is a great example of to what extent your actions can help our situation, and smaller ways of support still add up to a great impact on society, and could make the days of the queer people you interact with.

Educate yourself before you speak up, but don't be silent.

Louis Tomlinson has dropped a surprise album ‘Live’ – featuring songs that he recorded at 15 shows across 15 different cities.

Announced and shared yesterday (April 25), the album comes after the singer and former One Direction member embarked on two world tours over the past three years – playing just shy of 200 shows globally.

Now, a variety of performances from both tours – the ‘Louis Tomlinson World Tour’ and the ‘Faith in the Future World Tour’ – have been compiled into a new live album, which is available now.

Fifteen songs are included in the tracklist, and each was recorded in a different city, at a different show from across the three-year run. The album comes in both digital and physical formats, and features his singles including ‘Bigger Than Me’, ‘We Made It, ‘Walls’ and ‘Out Of My System’, alongside fan favourite album tracks, all released live for the very first time.

“I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last 3 years touring the world twice over. The feeling I get sharing those live moments will be with me forever,” Tomlinson said in a statement. “To be able to record these songs from all over the world and put them out as an album like this feels so special, and a real tribute to the fans who make each and every show feel unique and incredible. In photographs, she looks like a scout leader about to ask if you’ve had anything to eat today. It takes a moment to see that often, just out of focus, her fingers are holding a joint and her vest is covered in risque pins, including an embroidered cannabis leaf.

Mary Jane Rathbun, jailed thrice and the reason for California’s groundbreaking action on medical cannabis, was better known as Brownie Mary, the patron saint of AIDS patients. More than twenty years after her death, it’s not hard to understand why this grandmotherly figure remains one of San Francisco’s most beloved activists.

She’s been called the Florence Nightingale of HIV/AIDS. She was famous for bringing her magic brownies to gay men and others suffering from wasting syndrome, a name for the deleterious effects on appetite caused by the stigmatized retrovirus.

Much like Nightingale’s work on hygiene and compassionate care, Brownie Mary’s legacy lives on in the recipes and procedures still used today in medicinal edible production.

Rathbun’s illicit distribution began in the early 1970s, when she was in her early 50s, while she worked at an IHOP in the Castro, 37 years before government-approved research finally proved that her hypothesis about distributing ingestible cannabis to AIDS patients was worth investigating. On Dec. 1, a woman immolated herself with a Palestinian flag outside the Israeli consulate in Atlanta.

Now, according to the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department, the woman — referred to in their report as “Jane Doe” — is alive and “in stable condition” at Grady Memorial Hospital, where she has been since the immolation.

After repeated requests for her name, the department stated to this reporter in an email that it “does not disclose the identities of victims”. Repeated inquiries to Grady, which is a public hospital, went unanswered. The hospital houses the Walter L. Ingram Burn Center.

“Jane Doe” is 27.

When asked if they had made any comment to tell the public that she was still alive this entire time, the official at Atlanta Fire Rescue Department said they “shared the last updated with local media via email on 12/21/23. The release stated: ‘The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition. The security guard, who attempted to assist the burn victim, has been released from the hospital.’” Several internet searches on that quote produce no results. This would also indicate that "Jane Doe" went from critical to stable condition without public notice. 

Aaron Bushnell immolated himself at the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, explaining “I will no longer be complicit in genocide” and shouting “Free Palestine!” repeatedly as he burned alive. So, his case — unlike many other self-immolations including Gregory Levey, Raymond Moules, Timothy T. Brown, Malachi Ritscher and others — has received some attention. Thus, “Jane Doe” being ignored fits with the usual pattern. Bushnell is the exception — probably because he livestreamed it. See “Ignoring Immolators Lulls the Society to Sleep.”

As Bushnell was burning himself alive, an officer pointed a gun at him, barking orders as if he constituted a threat. A security guard, Michael Harris, sustained injuries working to rescue “Jane Doe” — but there were similarities, where she was actually viewed as a potential threat.

At one point, the police report for “Jane Doe” refers to it as being a case of “arson”.

Much of the media coverage and general discussion of her self-immolation in December focused on if she had done damage. The Atlanta Police Chief said: “We believe this building remains safe, and we do not see any threat here.” The Israeli government released a statement: “It is tragic to see the hate and incitement toward Israel expressed in such a horrific way.”

Police records indicate that they obtained a search warrant and entered an apartment they believed to be associated with “Jane Doe” — initially using a drone:

The drone was able to relay information as to the layout and the belongings inside. After it was deemed "safe" entry was made with bomb technicians. While clearing the apartment no improvised explosive devices were located.

The police report also noted:

During the search a Quran was found in the bedroom along with a [sic] Arabic dictionary and a Hebrew dictionary. The bedroom bookshelf contained books related to fiction and fantasy. A "Drug use for grown ups" book was on the bookshelf as well. Two journals were seized from the bedroom. A thumbdrive was seized from the bedroom as well. A laptop computer was seized from the kitchen counter. A copy of the search warrant was left in the living room of the apartment. The front door [of] the apartment was secured before law enforcement left the premises.

When pressed for more information in compliance with an Open Records Request under Georgia law, Atlanta Fire Rescue Department claimed: “There is an ongoing and active investigation for the incident in question, which is why the only releasable information has been shared via the incident report. Investigative documentation is not available for release until the investigation is closed.”
