this is Rocco, my friend’s cat and one of the sweetest animals i’ve ever met.

Rocco is currently facing a health crisis — he has just been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism as well as liver and pancreas abnormalities. he may also have cancer. his kitty parent, a genderqueer young adult, has no way to help him, because they do not have the funds to get him additional testing or appropriate care for any of these conditions.

without treatment, hyperthyroidism is a slow and painful disease that will starve Rocco until he is too weak to fight. there is a medicine to treat him, but the barrier is cost.

i’ve never reposted anything asking for help on here because it’s hard to know what’s legit and what’s not. but i can promise you - this is a close personal friend of mine’s cat who is suffering. i’ll be donating some of my own, and i hope you can give what you can. even just $1 gets that much closer to the goal.

My neighbor’s lovely dog needs a surgery, and the cost is $10k. He tore a ligament taking a tumble down the stairs, and it’s so severe that it’s either surgery or put him down—an amputation and a surgery would cost just as much. His name is Podna. If anyone could help, that’d be amazing.

Hello my darlings

I know I've been missing for a long time. A lot of things have happened. Most of them bad. I recently lost my kitten Terry to FELV. A treacherous disease that came with him from birth and in 4 years he hadn't shown any symptoms so the tests were always negative, except for the last one. Two weeks ago I said goodbye to him, which broke me.

Now my eldest, Eevee, is getting sick, possibly from the same disease. I'm arranging the tests and treatment, but my financial situation is getting worse every day.

To make matters worse, my husband is suffering a lot in his current job. He has level two autism, so he has a lot of social and behavioral limitations, and now some managers and employees are bullying him, making him stay away from the company for more than a month, putting his life at risk because of his worsening depression. Terry's death has made the situation even worse, I fear for his life every minute, and I have no family to help me in this endeavor, if it weren't for my best friend, everything would already be lost. He may lose his job this week when his medical certificate ends. He needs treatment with medication and therapies, but the health insurance doesn't cover it, and if he's fired, we won't have access to it anymore.

My health is also fragile, I have fibromyalgia and lupus, and in addition to medication I need regular check-ups. I also have ADHD, which is getting worse without medication, making me do very badly in class. I feel like I'm in a hole with no way out.

I'm thinking of opening fanart commissions starting at $5. I'm thinking about opening a ko-fi too.

I need opinions and suggestions. I'm really desperate.

Tldr Minmo’s been to the vet twice, third time will be today. She’ll have an x-ray at the least which is more expensive than the last two visits. Will possibly need further treatment. Update: Unfortunately our kitty reblocked, which means another 3k, plus a perineal urethrostomy surgery, so overall his vet bill is up to 9,500~ which is a lot more than we could have imagined for the little guy. The vet says he's doing good after the 2nd unblocking, but he doesn't have much if an appetite yet. He's due for the sugery on Monday when their surgeon is active, hopefully they get it done, otherwise his chance of a 3rd blocking increases and the biggest cost of the bill is medical boarding, and with the 4th being a holiday, that could stretch out his stay quite awhile. 😰

Over the course of a few hours we noticed he was spending 5-10+ minutes in his litter box, and eventually moved to posturing over random items in the house, quick google later, and we were on the way to a Animal ER (this happened on Saturday). Turns out he had a urinal block from crystals forming in his bladder, they drained him, inserted a catheter and kept him over 24 hours while he passed the crystals. He's home now, but this was a rather large and unexpected expense, any help even if just a dollar or so would be greatly appreciated.

hate doing this but i came back after being away for the weekend and my kitten is hurt, our cats get let outside for a bit every now and then and they don’t leave from the yard (we live in apartments) and they were outside when i came back, she ran in limping and screamed when i picked her up to try and inspect her, and continues to do so, the new tenants downstairs have expressed a dislike to the cats (a stray gave birth and we’re sort of taking care of them until we can give them away or send them to a shelter) and i have decided to keep one, my mom treats that she may have been kicked because she screams if i touch anywhere from her side to her foot on her left side, we are seriously broke and i’m leaving for college on tuesday, and while i hate asking, anything will help once we find a pet hospital that isn’t at capacity in order to cover the medical fees
