Blockbuster's peak was in 2004-2006. That... isn't that far away. I remember renting movies from Blockbuster (but I more remember buying pirated discs because Argentina).

What I mean is that what if Netflix is actually an historical fluke. What if videorental stores were never meant to become obsolete. Internet streaming and piracy had existed long before Netflix, I know because I've learned how to pirate as I learned how to use the internet. But what if Blockbuster's fall wasn't a preordained event. What if video rentals never went away?

#I mean... I think people still pay for netflix as some sort of status symbol #because the catalog fucking sucks #and videorentals have a better catalog ironically #there are a couple of videoclubs still around here #I wonder how... #cosas mias
