Honestly though, his trust in you declines the more you try your luck. Before long, he decides to isolate you in the spare room and visit you sparingly. If you have nothing and no one, you’ll be happier to see him over time, right? That’s precisely what happens. He takes everything from you, although he is gracious enough to leave you with a bed. When you’ve lived with the absolute bare basics for only three days, your head starts to split open. He drops off your food and you want to talk, want to touch, want to be acknowledged. He doesn’t give in the first few times. Eventually, he can’t bring himself to ignore you any longer.

He vows only to use isolation when you begin to cop an attitude with him. It’s easy to remind you how to be grateful when the threat of imprisonment looms over you every day, when you walk by the spare room. He notices you rush a bit faster as you pass it. It’s like you’re nervous it’ll suck you back in.

Isolation isn’t the only thing he uses. He doesn’t beat you, like some of his colleagues do with their wives; he spanks you. If you want to act like a brat, he’ll treat you like one. So that one night when he saw you for the first time after a month, he didn't even try to hold Dark Shadow back as it reached for you, pulling you into his darkness for good.

Kirishima- Where are you Where are you Where are you, Where is his Pebble?! Kirishima would be tearing down the facility trying to find you. Finally figuring out you were gone, he would stop at nothing to get you back. What he didn't expect was for it to take a MONTH! So when he saw you jogging one night, his immediate instinct was to run. Run after you as fast as he could til he caught you. He hardened his arms and that's when you knew you never again could escape him.

Hawks- Oh baby bird~ Where did you run off to~ He practically sings as he searches for you. Once he figured out you ran, he wasn't too bothered. He was a mafia leader for fucks sake. As soon as he escaped, he had his people do some digging. Eventually they found your location and he set off. He found you taking a jog one night and without hesitation, he immediately swooped down and grabed you in his arms. Don't struggle, my baby bird. There's no where for you to run anymore.

Tamaki- Oh no. Nononononono. Bunny?! B-Bunny, where did you go?! He immediately had a panic attack when you left. How could you?! The only one who was ever nice to him, accepted him. It took him a whole month to find you, with the help of his followers. That's when he decided to pay you a little visit, waiting at your house til you came home from your jog. He threatened to kill every person in your neighborhood if you didn't come with him. You agreed with reluctance. And once again, he had you on your knees before him. This time, you weren't going anywhere.

Shoto- Y/N? Where'd you go? Poor boy is so lost. You left? Why? His eye twitches as he searches the facility for you but you were nowhere to be found. Did he do something? Why would you suddenly leave him? Did he scare you? For a month, he couldn't figure out why you left him. It haunted his every move. After he escaped, he walked the streets, nothing on his mind but you. So one night, when you took off for your routine jog, why were your feet suddenly encased in...ice?

Dabi- Oh, mouse wants to play a little game, hm? Well, guess he could be the cat in this game of tag with you. He is amused, to say the least. He enjoys games where he knows how the outcome will be. So the moment he sees you jogging down the street, he knew he won this game. You were shocked, to say the least, when a wall of blue flames block your path. But the shock turned into terror when you felt a hand tightly grip the back of your neck.

Bakugo- Where. THE FUCK. Did you go? He completely rips apart the facility trying to find you. And the moment he realizes he can't, all hell breaks loose. He's probably the reason the entire facility burnt to the ground. His angel, gone. No where to be found. What if something happened to you? What if someone hurt you? He wasn't going to stop til he found you. Well, it came as a shock to him when he found you perfectly healthy a month later, on your nightly jog. Within a split second, you hear explosions going off behind you and before you could react, your body was thrown to the ground, a growling blonde on top of you.

Denki- Sad pup. Very very sad pup. You left him?! Why?! He's such a fun person and would be an amazing boyfriend! He pouts around the facility, sparks crackling around him. Even more pouty when he couldn't find you. But he never gave up. He was finally able to escape and go searching for you. A month later, you think you're safe. So you leave the house to go for a jog. But you barely take 5 steps before a crackle of lightning hits the ground in front of you. Before you can turn around, you feel arms wrap around your middle and a shock runs through your body, before blacking out.

Midoriya- His darling left him and he is so very worried. Very worried. Are you hurt? Were you scared of him? Did...did someone take you for themselves? He investigates every person in the facility but no one had you. Day after day, his mind gets worse. His worries increase. So, about a month later, when he actually finds you outside? He can't help but let out a squeal of glee. He's fast, very very fast. The next thing you know, you're tackled to the ground in a tight embrace. And god... is it TIGHT.

Shinso- Oh, kitten. You made a very. Very. Bad decision. He doesn't know HOW you got away from him in the first place but he WILL bring you back. The longer it takes to find you, the angrier he becomes. After a month of nothing, he was finally, FINALLY able to locate you with his connections. You think you're out for a late night jog? Well, when you hear your friends voice call to you, you didn't expect your mind to be wiped clean. All you can see is him step in front of you with a manic grin. But you can't do anything. No movement, no noise. Nothing except silent tears falling down your cheeks.

Hey! You are absolutely 100% okay, and your grammar and spelling are awesome! People who speak multiple languages have so much of my respect; I know how hard it is and how much work goes into it.

For Tokoyami, I really hope I portrayed his character okay. I’m not super happy with this, so just like with my other anon, you’ll probably see some more content for little emo birb man XD. I hope it’s okay!

It’s a well-known fact that birds tend to be drawn towards bright, shiny things. Was it really a surprise that Tokoyami found himself enamored with the person in 1A with the brightest smile and a glowing personality?

He’s observant, and automatically takes notice of you from the first day of class. There’s just something about you that Tokoyami finds desirable, but he can’t place his finger on exactly what. He’ll watch you closely, trying to figure out what it is about you that has him so enamored. Is it your hair? Your personality? Your smile? His sharp eyes are constantly on you, studying the way you interact with the class, how you move during training, how you relax during a movie in the common room or get competitive playing a board game with Sero.

Before he knows it, Tokoyami is completely obsessed; just like he has his own shoulder shadow, he becomes yours. With his other classmates, Tokoyami doesn’t find it necessary to respond to pointless questions, but with you he does all he can to respond uncharacteristically quickly, hanging off of your every word. Outwardly he tries his best to keep his cool, stoic persona, but inside he feels jittery and butterflies thrum through his veins every time he sees you smile, even if it isn’t at him.

When Dark Shadow comes out, that’s when Tokoyami loses control. Dark Shadow is fueled by Tokoyami’s emotions, essentially a conglomeration of the bird-mans darker thoughts and urges. Helpful for when he feels anger and unbridled rage at a disgusting villain, less so when deep down, he wants to devour you whole. Tokoyami is aware that he sometimes has dark, unsavory thoughts concerning you, especially when he catches a peek of an extra inch of skin when your shorts ride up during training. One night he had come into the common room to find all the girls in their pajamas watching a chick flick. He had to quickly excuse himself when he caught sight of you dressed in PJs that showed off more skin than he was used to. That night he had a hard time controlling Dark Shadow, the force wrecking quite a few things in their room as Tokoyami struggled to rein in his dark desires.

He tries, he really does! He wants to be sweet and kind, an absolute gentleman to you. But it’s almost impossible for him, a catch 22. When he’s with you, he feels safe, content. But Dark Shadow threatens to break loose and do unspeakable, lecherous things at each bubbly laugh or gentle word you utter. If he’s away from you, Dark Shadow is easier to control, but Tokoyami can’t stand it, getting restless, jittery, and anxious not knowing what you’re up to. There’s a war raging inside his mind, decency vs desire.

Pray that he never gives in.

If he does, you’ll find yourself completely consumed by him, his presence everywhere, invading everything in your life. He’ll surround you and practically smother you with his presence. Worse than that, when he’s not surrendering to his desires, he’ll do nothing but watch you, completely fascinated by every single movement, every single breath. He still has a grip on his rational mind, so he’ll try to be gentle and understanding when you reject having your life practically controlled by him. But really, he knows what's best for you, so why bother resisting?

It’ll be unsettling, because Tokoyami isn’t necessarily touchy, nor is he very vocal. He’ll just be hovering nearby, probably crouching, head tilted as he refuses to tear his eyes away from you.

Tokoyami finally figures out what it is about you that makes you so desirable, makes him dizzy and makes his dark cheeks flush red.

It’s not just one part of you that draws him in, tangles him in his feelings for you.

No, it’s all of you.

And he would never let you out of his sight.

You didn't understand what was going on and you were scared, the last thing you remembered was that Tokoyami, your classmate with whom you spent a lot of time, even though he looked disgusted by your tastes which were completely different from his, and which one you considered a close friend of yours, had invited you out He had proposed you to go to the movies to watch a movie on Friday after school, you were very excited about the event since you were looking forward to seeing the second part of the story, you had loved the first part and you were very happy that Fumikage with Dark Shadow accompanied you to see the second part of the saga of movies based on books of which you were a fan Although the truth was that the film had not been as exciting as the first film, the second part had fulfilled its function at the plot level, you were so attentive to see what was on screen that you did not notice that your friend and his quirk did not pay the most minimal attention to the movie, but they had been watching all your expressions during the two hours that the movie lasted When you and he left the cinema, it was already night and the surroundings looked a bit dark, you clung to the arm of Tokoyami nervous of your surroundings, you were not afraid of the dark but you could not help getting nervous before it, without paying attention to how he, for a few seconds, stopped breathing because of how overwhelmed your proximity put him, which made it harder to control his crazy emotions, but he had to be patient, especially if he wanted it by the end of the night his wanted Persephone only for him alone Fumikage tried to give you courage as you passed slowly through a poorly lit street because the lights didn't work at all, only a few still emitted light; When you heard how one of the bulbs exploded for some reason unknown to you, you turned to look quickly, but at that moment, you received a strong blow behind your head that left you lying on the ground at the mercy of Dark Shadow who laughed with malice despite the annoying face Tokoyami had "I told you not to be so hard on her!" Fumikage said he felt like complete garbage for hurting you. "She's not going to die for that, so it doesn't matter, the only important thing is that she is now ours" Dark Shadow picked you up gently while smiling with satisfaction Because, now that you were in Dark Shadow's arms and, therefore, in Tokoyami's arms, there was no way you could escape from them And that was a harsh reality that you had to learn as soon as you woke up in that not so small garden which was surrounded by a totally terrifying darkness, while you were guarded by a terrible beast that grew bigger and stronger when the night approached, in addition of, the now no longer appreciated company of the one you once called friend Tokoyami Fumikage.

Bakugo was always protective as you ever since you were kids he would always say he would protect you and not let anyone take you away from him and you didn't seem to mind it since you just thought it was some typical big brother behavior when it was much darker than that...Whenever someone would talk to you he would glare in their way making sure they had a cold sweat he once hospitalized a boy in the middle because he put gum in your hair you were everything to Katsuki he just wanted to be him and you(and his parents ofc) that was it

That was before class 1a

•Everyone was shocked at the two of you even Aizawa questioned the nature of it because Katsuki was a burning bomb ready to explode anytime when someone pisses him off while you were an absolute sweetheart with a kind personality with a Smile pure of sunshine and happiness with a positive personality people would even doubt you were Akatsuki's twin without you looking alike even izuku sometimes question it

•the class was so lovesick and adored with your kind yet tough nature they knew it was fate they knew exactly who to cherish and love! And it was you!

•The girls would have lesbian attacks whenever they were close to you or ever interacted with you, while you chatted along your day and training Mina would just dreamily sigh to herself, tsuyu would just be just in a trace cause how sweet your voice sounded, Ochako would stare at your lips imagining how it'll felt touching hers, Jirou wanting to bury her face in your big fluffy hair so she can get a sniff, momo starting at those beautiful eyes making her all flushed and it drives her crazy, Hakagure wanting to pinch your cheeks while giggling intensely

•The boys,on the other hand, would try so desperately to get your attention and praise like how Tokoyami would show off his love poems to you while you watched with eyes sparkling, Aoyama would show off his fashion skills by dressing up and if you ever want to wear matching outfits with him let's say he's the happiest man alive he'll show off to everyone how dazzling the 2 of you are, Kirishima would pick you up and throw you in the air just to show you his strength talking about how manly he is, while sato gives you all sorts of treats and teach you to bake

•But your brother was deeply Jealous every time he caught you hanging out with them he always watched in the background to make sure they didn't do anything or just took you away and scolded you for not hanging out with your big brother as much but that's ok its, not your fault it's those Extras fault but when they told how much they love and care about you and would do anything to protect you he gets 2nd thoughts and decided to tolerate it for now

One day at lunch a girl walked over to your table and asked you out to go to a nearby cafe on Friday you blushed and mumbled yes the class including your brother say quietly anger building up and glaring at the girl the girl winked and ran away,

On Friday the girls helped you get ready you were dressed up in Momo's dorm they picked your best outfit and did your hair so nicely you were twirling around, beaming and smiling mina and the others blushed at your style but were heartbroken knowing the fact that you weren't getting dressed up for them, when you got out the dorm and shows it to the boys they looked in wonder but was sad but your brother was being extra protective and strict today putting down some rules

At this point, you were just deciding to not listen to your brother 😭 you weren't going to anyway especially that last one but you kept the others in mind you were heading out the door everyone bid you farewells and good luck and you were feeling as confidence as ever when you made it at the cafe

you see the girl sitting there ever so pretty with her hair in a beautiful style and in a beautiful flower pattern dress you blushed at her appearance and went in y'all did your greeting and started talking for a bit it was fun honestly she was laughing at your jokes and you were blushing at her cheesy pick up lines all was going swell and you had to go to the bathroom you apologized to her and excused yourself

After you washed your hands you were about to exit the bathroom but heard your date chattering and laughing and she mentioned your name a couple of times you were curious u stayed and listened closely

As the girl kept chattering horrible stuff the more numb, you felt your eyes watering and leaking down your face your hands balled up in fists shaking you grabbed your stuff off the table not caring about your "Date" reaction, and dashed out the cafe you ran inside the building Kirishima and bakugo were playing a game while jirou, momo, denki, sero and ochako were playing card games they saw you ran in "Oh hey y/n! how was your-" just as jirou was about to say something you slammed and locked the door everyone was shocked Bakugo put the controller down pressed his head against the door he could hear sniffling and crying

Bakugan harshly told everyone in the common room to back away and knocked on your door "Hey idiot you there? Can I come in" You hesitated for a second but at the moment you didn't care you just needed some comfort so you unlocked the door and Bakugo calmly went in he didn't like to be mushy but seeing you cry broke his heart just went he shut your door you tackled him and hugged him tightly crying in his chest murmuring a bunch of "im sorry" and "You were right" when he finally calmed you down you explained what happened " s-she called me disgusting kats I didn't do anything to her " he rubbed your back while you hugged him tightly until you fell asleep he placed you down in your bed

He went out of your dorm and met with a bunch of concerned looks from your classmates some asked a bunch of questions to see if you were ok even iida and Momo frantically wanted to come in and check on you but Bakugo completely shut it down saying he'll explain what happen

"Those fucking pests..." momo said with venom in her voice and the others agree they were in a rage how could anyone do that to sweet little you! You didn't even do anything! Everyone was now arguing and bickering about what to do with her some mina suggested beating her up and threatening her but Tokoyami disagreed and said blackmail Ochako suggested spreading a fake rumor so people she would be ostracized from the whole school but- "I think that's enough out of all of you" everyone quickly turned around to see aizawa looking tried and pissed "M-Mr Aizawa we can explain-" "Silence I don't wanna hear it y'all did enough I'll handle that girl in the morning the rest of you head to bed now" the class groaned and head to bed still plotting up a plan in their mind

The next day when you were about to walk to class you heard screaming and begging "WHAT DO YOU MEAN IM GETTING EXPELLED?!" the girl's eyes were full of tears showing at Principal Nezu still keeping a smile on his face "I'm sorry but we made up our minds we are a bullying free environment we can't have a soon to be hero bullying other soon to be heroes for who they like" nezu said while taking a sip of tea the girl's angry yells of protest turning to ugly sobbing and begging she ran pass you crying loudly

You were stunned but were walking into class "Morning everyone!" just when you walked in everyone was huddling around you mina was hugging you tightly like he lift depends on it " y/n! Are you ok do you need some more time?!" " we can go to a cool butterfly Zoo Kota recommended to make you feel better *Kero*" "Here I got you think adorable music box with your favorite tune on it" Momo handled the music box "I'll bake you some sweets to make you feel better!" Sato butted in everyone else was cooing and gifting your stuff to help you "feel better" Luckily bakugo pulled you away but was also checking to see if you were ok everyone was bickering at Bakugo for being selfish but was quiet down when Aziawa came

After class when you were headed to your 2nd period Aizawa stopped you for a second "Uh yes sensei?" he walked up to you "I heard you were feeling sad yesterday ur feeling better now brat?" you shrugged "Yea just some night with someone got bad and weirdly enough now they're getting expelled kinda harsh honestly " Aizawa shrugged his shoulders as well "Thats too bad but let's worried you being stable and ready for hero training this afternoon" you quickly nodded your head and smiled with determination "Yes sensei! I am!" he let you go to your next class unaware that a evil smirk was forming on his face

Requests are open hell yeah! Ima need a yandere cryptid tokoyami. Boi sits in the forest and sees a stanger walk through the woods everyday and he just pines after them, leaving shiny shit he finds for them, mating calls, he's tried everything but they don't notice him or answer him. (I suck at explaining and I'm running on two brain cells, so if you can make literally anything out of that jumbled mess of words, I will be happy)

Mythical!Tokoyami would absolutely be a cursed Harpy, and everyone who disagrees can loudly debate me in the comments before being promptly blocked.

Humans were ugly. They were loud, helpless, crying little babies who’d managed to over-stay their welcome on a planet that never belonged to them. Even if Tokoyami had never seen one up-close, he knew he hated them. More than his isolation, and more than the shadow slowly growing beyond the limits of his own.

But, as was said, he’d never actually seen one. And then you came along, with those inconvenient, clunky appendages and skin so soft that he could practically feel it ripping under his talons. You were respectful of his island, considerate to the strange stone structures and merciful towards smaller creatures, so unlike his own kind.

So unlike his kind, and all their sharp nails and claims on territory. So separate from his own violent impulses, and the dark swirling mass that always tempted him to act on them.

And you spoke! Your voice was always so quiet, so gentle! He couldn’t understand what you were saying, sure, but Tokoyami didn’t have to. He knew you were talking to him, even if he never revealed himself. Even if your eyes never met his. Tokoyami’d never realized how much he wanted that contact, needed it. To feel someone acknowledging his presence, to have something besides that relenting voice in the back of this head. And a mate, however… misshapen, was still a mate.

Of course, Tokoyami did what he could to tell he was listening. He left gifts where he knew you’d find them, shiny trinkets and intricately carved toys that he’d found during his ventures out of his cave. He taught you call after call, repeating them until you called back. He’d even gone as far as to leave a few out of nicest feathers in the pitiful, plastic thing you called a nest, a gesture you had to understand. All in the hopes that you could finally understand what he was trying to tell you.

He needed to take you for himself.

He needed to hold you.

He needed to keep you safe.

He needed to keep you.

But, the others on your little expedition didn’t seem to feel your sympathy towards the uncharted land. They were heavy, careless brutes with sharp knives and grim faces. Merciless, uncaring, bad. So unlike you, so… wrong. They were too reluctant to enjoy their time on his island, too eager to leave and too weary of the landscape. If you hadn’t been with them, they probably wouldn’t have lasted through the first night.

And even worse, they wanted to take you away! He couldn’t stand it, watching such a sweet voice be used to yell, watching you run off into the woods when one of those idiots said something that really set you off. It became clear, as you cried out for him, sobbing and abandoning your caution, letting him protect you in your moment of weakness.

They were a problem.

They were making you unhappy.

They were trying to take you away from him.

They deserved to die.

It was better, this way. The others were making you unhappy, the others were getting in the way. And since Tokoyami was so intent on courting you, the solution was obvious. Something that would ensure your fate with him, and something that would get rid of those pesky friends of yours.

He would protect you from everything that lurked in the darkness tonight, and he’d let you return to the others. He would let you use that beautiful, beautiful voice to make things right, and eventually, you would agree to leave with the other humans. You’d agree to leave him, but only because you didn’t know better.

And then, he’d step in. He’d slaughter one where they stood, and the rest would scatter like rats. But, you’d stay. You’d stay, and you’d thank him, and you would realize that he was the perfect mate. You were never very receptive of his other approaches, after all, your tongue too clumsy to properly echo his sentiments and your oh-so persistent reluctance stopping you from following the paths he’d made.

You needed him to prove his strength. And wasn’t a single thing he wouldn’t do for his precious, precious little mate.

Thought board on the Dorms

Your yandere was over the fucking moon when they found out about the dorms. To think that they would be living in the same building as you(and if lucky enough floor) is a like a God-sent for them.

Then during the room contest? Lets just say they will be making mental notes about every comment you make when it comes to their room. Expect to see particular designs or items that you like becoming widespread throughout their room. After all, they want to make sure that you are as comfortable as can be in there.

When it finally comes to your room it would feel like they died and went to heaven. Time would come to a screeching halt while they savor that unique aroma that just scream Y/N. Though trying not to seem to out of the ordinary they try to be as mindful as possible when it comes to staring at your stuff. But alas, their effort doesn’t amount to much as they stand there in shock, eyes scanning and memorizing every minuscule detail on display.

Little after note- I will be posting thought boards on what some class-a guys think/do when it comes to living in the dorm with you. They will all be separated so you can like what you actually like and so there wont be as much tag clutter! I will also be deleting this comment after I finish with those writings!

Tokoyami and Dark Shadow headcanons. mostly Dark Shadow though. Their cute.

ok, ok, just hear me out on this. i feel like the prompts can fit yandere Tokoyami and normal tokoyami with his crush or friend, but I have it ment for crush on this one!

-So one thing that I think would happen a lot is Tokoyami going on long edgy poetic rambles about how you are his light in his world of darkness. i think that Darkshadow would inturupt him and say simple cute things like "That (refuring to tokoyamis rant) means he think your pretty." or "Tokoyami thinks your pretty".

-I mean, Imagine walking with Tokoyami with him for whatever reason, and Dark Shadow just appearing and wrapping himself around you. Like Tokoyami to your left, and Dark Shadow currled around you on the other side.

-While walking I feel like dark shadow would just be like super casualy say something like "Tokoyami wants to hold your hand (he does too.)"

-Like Dark Shadow does not spare Tokoyami any embarrasment what-so-ever. Sometimes you think Dark Shadow is teasing Tokoyami or something. But you brush it off since he appears so cute and harmless.

-But do remember, Dark Shadow is Tokoyamis internal feelings. His anger, happiness, but also his love for you, and his clinginess, protectiveness, and possible his lustfulness. Don't think Dark Shadow is super cute, he is, but maybe a little bit more in control than you think.

-I personaly think that because Tokoyami feels he's not the best at expressing his emotions, he'll write you letters. Cute little letters in white/black envolops, with the red wax stamp and a beautifuly edgy card inside. it's always sighed off with a little comment or thought/queastion from Dark Shadow. Like" You looked so pretty yesterday!" Or "Do you like shinny things too?" even "Whats your favorite flower/chocolate/song/hobby/ect?"

-I think that Tokoyami would try to be normal around you, but he just can't help it. Dark Shadow won't stop talking about you. And your so pretty, and cute, and perfect! Whats he supposed to do? He ends up being infatuated by you, interested in everything about you. Even little or weird things like Favorite marker brand, favorite color/fabric/shows/heros/ect.

-Though he really does have good intentions. He loves you dearly, and just wants you to be happy.

-Dark Shadow also wishes for you to be happy, just with him and Tokoyami instead.

Request: Hi, saw requests were open and was wondering if you could write something for a criptid yandere tokoyami finding a mate, maybe some smut if you're up for it

So again I wasn’t really in the right headspace to write smut, I think snared: part 7 wore me out

The ruins had stood within the woods for hundreds of years, and they would stand for hundreds more. There were countless legends attached to them, some true and some not. But regardless, each of the legends served the same purpose: keeping the townsfolk away. Of course, there would on occasion be some reckless children who ventured to the ruins in a foolish attempt to draw out the darkness and later boast of their bravery. But the ones who returned never ended up boasting. No, their stories were simply collected and eventually dismissed, leaving nothing behind but yet another reason to stay away.

You, however, had always found yourself drawn to the ruins. While the rest of your peers saw them either as a place to meet death, an absurd chance for glory, or merely a boring, crumbling building, you had always thought that they sounded beautiful. Unsettling, to be sure, but beautiful nonetheless. You had always loved things that few else did, the strange allure that could be found in what others thought of as eerie. And so, one crisp autumn evening, you ventured out into the woods.

The first leg of your journey was peaceful, light filtering gently through the trees, leaves crunching beneath your feet. You had been this far into the woods before, as the ruins themselves were a good ways in. But as you passed the part that you knew and continued onward, that peaceful atmosphere changed. It wasn’t anything concrete, but the air seemed to grow more still, the silence more heavy. The trees surrounding you had grown in size, their large branches interweaving so thickly that they had blocked out the sky. It was then, when the light had dimmed and the sky had vanished, that you saw the ruins.

Scraps of rumors and records said that the ruins were built as a cathedral, built in the woods so that the priests focus solely on God. The description seemed to fit, what with the remaining pointed spires piercing the air, the clustered columns holding the building up, and the shrieking gargoyle statues guarding it. As you approached it, you subconsciously held your breath, for some reason afraid of drawing any attention to yourself. But little did you know, it was far too late for that.

Reaching the aged wooden door, you pushed it gently, worried it might crumble beneath your hand. It simply creaked open though, revealing the inside of the ruins. You stepped inside, your footfalls echoing against the stone, and failed to notice the darkness that crept towards the door. You also failed to notice how, when the strange shadow eventually reached the door, it closed shut behind you, as if pushed by the darkness itself. No, you were far too entranced by the sight before you. The cathedral was surprisingly intact, you thought to yourself, with only a few holes in the roof and some of the carvings weathered away. Moving further in, towards an intricately carved column on the side of a pew, you examined one of the still-intact engravings, brushing it softly with your fingertips. From what you could tell, it seemed to be another image of a gargoyle, though it wasn’t like any gargoyle you had seen. This one had a mostly human figure, but the head of a bird. The detail was incredible, the creature’s eyes seeming to burn with a quiet power. You could tell that the artist likely meant for the creature to appear grotesque, but rather than being disturbed or frightened, you stared at the carving with reverence. It was a look that did not go unnoticed by the shadow that watched you.

Continuing up the aisle, you neared the church’s altar. But even as you walked, your eyes drank in every strange nuance of the building, becoming utterly captivated by your surroundings. It was no wonder, then, that you found it easy to ignore the prickling on the back of your neck, the raising of the hair on your arms. Even as the gaze bore into you, drinking you in much the same way as you did the cathedral, you journeyed further into the ruins. He watched you from a distance, his shadow whispering eagerly in his ear. He was hardly listening though, far too entranced by you. Besides, he hardly needed his shadow to tell him what he could clearly see for himself. Through all of his life, he had never seen anyone react to the ruins the way he did, look at them the way he did. His rare visitors only saw his home as eerily menacing, as something to vandalize and destroy. No one had ever appreciated the macabre beauty of the cathedral, but it was clear from the awed expression on your face that you did.

Tokoyami’s heart stirred as he watched you, awakening feelings and instincts he had thought were long buried. But no, they practically cried out to him, they were still there. They had only been waiting for the right person to roust them. Mate, Tokoyami’s blood cried. Mate. Between his head and his heart, his instincts and his emotions, his self and his shadow, Tokoyami knew that it was true. You were his mate, his destined love. You were his match, reflecting him in all the ways that mattered. He wanted you, he needed you. And so, he let his shadow loose.

It doesnt help that Tokoyami isnt that well known in the class nor is he apart of the Bakusquad, theres no way he wouldnt be at least the slightest bit bitter or suspisious towards him

Of course if your bakugos sister you can definitely manage yourself against others when needed but dont forget he was there for you throughout all the times you couldnt take the screaming in the house anymore or the normalized behavior in the family, he would be protective of you out of pure instinct

If you dont explain that to tokoyami hes just going to think your brothers overcomplicating things and generally just trying to seperate you two for petty reasons

He does do his best to improve relations with bakugo along with toning down on any yandere like traits he may have so he doesnt raise any red flags, but at the same time Tokoyami isnt dating him, hes more focused on spending time with you and enjoying every second of it

It may even take some intrusion of Dark shadow to convince your brother even in the slightest of ways that he isnt a threat, but besides that the only ways tokoyami finds affective in getting him off his back is showing how protecting he can be towards you

During group training he definitely prioritizes your safety beyond his own, even if its just a drill tokoyami and Dark shadow will both take turns switching between roles of helping you when needed and sticking to their own opponents

While the slightly softer glare didnt feel like victory in this challange of convincing him that he was a ok person for his sister, your big smile certainly confirmed that bakugos just a little bit less skeptical of him
