Today I got my period unprepared and without pills and pads I suffered indescribable pain for a long hour… (Man I don't want to go through this again 😢)

and it made me think about it. Would they be surprisingly kind and help, or would they take advantage of it for their own benefit?

How could this have happened?! That stupid pill is worthless!

You were currently sitting on your bathroom toilet, panicking over the pregnancy test you just took. This was the fifth test you've taken this week, giving you the same answer yet again. You couldn't believe it. You only did it once!

You swore to your family that you wouldn't get pregnant as a teenager. You promised your mother you would avoid making the same mistake she and your two older sisters made. Yet it seems like everyone in your family either got pregnant or impregnated someone at a young age, no matter what they did. 

This can't be happening! What the he*l am I gonna tell Carl?!

Knock, Knock~

"Yo, you almost done in there?" Your older brother, B/n, yelled from behind the door. "I need to take a pi*s!"

"Ye-yeah... Give me a second!" You panicked. Scrambling around the tiny bathroom, trying to hide the evidence.

"If you don't hurry up, I'm gonna come in!" He spat, jiggling the doorknob.

"Just wait! Would ya, please! God." You opened the door. "There! Jesus."

"What the he*l were you doing in there? And why do you have that? It's not even that full."

You were holding a plastic bag. Filled with bathroom trash along with your secret.

"So?! Why do you care whether it's full or not?" You spat.

"Jesus, what got you so moody?" Your brother gave you an annoyed look. "You pregnant or something?"

Although he said it with sarcasm, you couldn't stop your heart from bursting with fear when you heard him say that. You about froze in place as he gave you a questioning look. Then he proceeded into the bathroom.

Fu*k me... You started tearing up from the stress. Not again. You whipped away your tears once again as you left for school. Stupid hormones.

Time skip!~

You were walking up towards the school doors until you saw your best friend Debbie running towards you with a massive smile on her face.

"Y/NNN!" Debbie yelled across the schoolyard. "I-huff huh-huff..." When she got to you, she was practically a wheezing mess.

She inhaled a loaded bunch of air before screaming, "I'M PREGNANT!!!"

Her screaming caused some unwanted attention to occur.

"WHA-WHAT!?!?" Your face dropped. "Since when?!"

You draped your arm on Debbie's shoulder as you both walked down the school corridors.

"Since a week ago? I don't know; I took a test today and am pregnant!" Debbie was so excited she squealed. "Remember how I told you about Derek, my boyfriend?"

"Yeah-"

"Yeah, well, we did it, like- two weeks ago!"

"Wha-what?!" Now your heart dropped. "Why didn't you tell me you- did it with your boyfriend? Did you tell anyone else? Or like- did you tell him that you're p-pregnant!?" You whispered-yelled the last part.

You were panicking. You couldn't believe the situation you were in. What are the odds that you and your best friend got knocked up together simultaneously without planning anything? Well, even if you knew Debbie wanted to get pregnant, you didn't think she would actually act upon it.

"Come down! It's ok. The s*x was mutual this time, and I did tell him. He was ok with it, but Fiona, on the other hand- not so much."

"Oh, ok, well, what are you going to do?"

"What kind of question is that; keep it, obviously!"

"Right, right, I know that. I mean- I-." You paused. Looking her in her eyes. "Aren't you scared? Y-you know... about what others might think-?"

"Peff- No." She gave you a deadpan look. "I couldn't give two sh*ts about what others think of MY choices. I wanted this! Besides, my boyfriend wants this too."

"Are you sure he wanted this?"

"No- well, maybe? I don't know-"

Ring! The bell rang.

"Well, got to go. Can't be late for history- again. Byeee!"

Debbie left you by your classroom door.

What am I gonna do...? How is she not panicking about this!? I mean, knowing her family's circumstances... what am I going to do- my parents are going to kill me...

You've been avoiding Carl all day. You didn't want to face him. You didn't want to tell him. You couldn't.

Throughout the day, you've been in this paranoid state. Falling into deep thought only to jump out of it whenever someone said something to you or made a loud noise. It became so noticeable that one of your teachers pulled you aside in between classes to ask you if everything was okay. You told them you were fine when really you were a mess.

At some point, Carl finally managed to grab ahold of you. It was during lunch when he asked you-

"Yo!" Carl grabbed your upper arm and turned you around. "What's goin on? Why have you been avoiding me all day?!"

"Carl- uh..." You gave a nervous giggle. "Everything's fine."

"Ya sure? Cause I've been tryin to get ahold of ya all day, and it just seemed like you were completely outta it." Carl gave you that bruff look.

"Sorry, I just got a lot on my mind at the moment."

"Yeah, we can tell, so what's up?" He asked, joining you at your lunch table.

"Well, nothing much. Uhh… I heard that Debbie got pregnant." You said, trying to change the topic.

"Oh yeah- she told ya, huh. Figures." Carl looked at you, agitated. "Ok, whaddya know?!"

"What do you mean?"

"You're tryina change the subject; why?"

You were never one to lie. It just wasn't in your nature. You were terrible at it, so no matter what you said, everyone eventually finds the truth.

You sighed. "Carl- what would you do in their situation? Hmm?"

"Whaddya mean?"

"I mean... If you got me pregna-"

"Woah, woah, woah! I GOT YOU PREGNANT!"

"NO! And keep your voice down!" You whispered-yelled at him.

"Oh, okay then, why ask?!" He asked in that slang accent of his.

"It's just-" You looked down at your food. Poking it with your plastic spork. "I need to know what you would do... If you and I were in the same situation as Derek and Debbie..."

"That's a weird question..." Carl looked into your eyes. He saw a hit of sadness in them. He took a pause the said- "Okay, fine."

Carl laid his hand on top of yours on the table. He leaned in, looking into your eyes, and said, in his regular voice- "If I got you pregnant, I'd try my hardest to be the best father, role model, and partner. I'll do everything I can so our future fam can live in luxury." He smirked.

You stopped looking into Carl's eyes and drifted down to your knees. Carl saw that your eyes were getting misty, so he leaned in and gave you a sweet kiss.

"Listen, babe. You don't need to worry about that stuff. If you're worried it might happen, we don't have to do anything you're uncomfortable with." Carl cupped your cheek. "I swear, even if it did happen, I would never abandon you. I love you."

You looked into Carl's eyes once again and closed the remaining gap between the two of you. Sharing a sweet kiss for only a moment when you ended it. Pushing him inches away, you said, "Carl, I'm pregnant."

Ring! The bell ranged. People started to get up, throwing away their trash.

"YOU'RE WHAT!?" Carl yelled out of nowhere, causing a few people to look at him. Instantly he pulled back. Jumping up from his seat. "How! We-" Carl only stopped when he saw your face drop morbidly fast.

You started hiccupping as tears rolled down your face. The whole lunchroom was quiet by that point. Instinctively out of embarrassment, you quickly tried to cover your face with your hands.

Now people were really staring.

"Wait, baby, please don't cry. I didn't mean it like that." Carl tried to grab your hands away from your face. But you refused instead; you instantly got up and ran away. Before he could even get up, Nick quickly grabbed his shoulder, stopping him from chasing you…

Carl watched you leave the lunchroom. All eyes turned to him. He stood there feeling guilty and angry. Carl swatted Nick's hand off his shoulder. "What the he*l, man! Why'd ya stop me!"

Jensen sat by her side, head held in his hands, elbows digging into his knees. His beard was thick, his hair greasy and unkempt. The flesh below his eyes was dark, his vision strained from lack of sleep. 

Y/N was still asleep and he marked the time by each labored rise and fall of her chest. Her wrists were bound to the bed, her ackles spread and locked in place by velcro straps. The sheets beneath her were wrinkled and twisted, the pillow flat around her head. 

She stirred and he sat up, leaning close to check on her. He was still shaking, traumatized by the whole ordeal. The weeks leading up to her crash, the stress of trying to help her from so far away. The hallucinations were wild and she had to face them alone. He should have done more, should have forced her to go to the hospital sooner, should have… should have… should have…

He sucked in a heavy breath and cleared the tears from his eyes when the door opened. 

Cindy, the ward nurse, came in, her white sneakers squeaking gently on the polished floor. She smiled kindly at Jensen and went about her task checking Y/N’s vitals. 

She eyed Jensen over the clipboard as she noted the time and numbers. “You should go home and rest,” she said quietly.

He shook his head. “Can’t do that.” His voice creaked and he cleared his throat, pushing away the tears. “I need to be here when she wakes up.” 

Cindy gave him a sad smile and nodded. “I understand.” 

“She will-” His heart ached and he reached for Y/N’s hand, squeezing her fingers tight. “She will wake up, won’t she?” 

The nurse sighed and hung the clipboard off the foot of the bed. “The pills she took did a lot of damage and the seizure was severe. Her… brain was without oxygen for three minutes, and…” 

She trailed off, seeing Jensen crumble. Hunched over, he dropped his head and kissed Y/N’s hand. He shuddered, unable to stop himself from crying again. 

“We can pray,” she said softly. 

Jensen looked up and nodded. “Thank you.” 

Cindy walked away quietly, tiptoeing so her shoes didn’t squeak so loudly. When she reached the door, she turned, offering a tiny speck of comfort. 

“I’m sure you did all that you could.” 

Green eyes burned with guilt.

“Yeah…” 

“You did all that you could, Dean.” 

Castiel stood at the foot of the bed, looking down upon Y/N’s unconscious form. The bullet had grazed her forehead, knocked aside by Dean’s tackle, but she had not yet awakened. She was lost to trauma, her own mind caging her deep inside. 

For days, Dean sat by her side in the hospital, watching every breath and counting every beep on the monitor. Sometimes, he whispered to her just to see if the lines on the screen would move, but mostly, he sat and stared, hating himself and everything that he had failed to do. 

“I didn’t do shit, Cas, and you know it.” 

The angel frowned deeply. “You saved her life.” 

Dean looked up, frustrated and broken. “Yeah. Sure looks like it.” 

“Dean, don’t-” 

“You sure there’s nothing you can do?” His lip trembled and he reached for Y/N’s hand, holding it tight. 

Castiel hung his head. “I’m sorry.” 

Dean inhaled deeply. His chest was aching, his body close to collapse with exhaustion. His gaze fell across her face. “Can you see inside her head?” he asked, hoping for some solace. “Is she… she still in there?” 

Cas looked ahead, squinting at Y/N. “I don’t know, Dean.” He shook his head sadly. “But wherever she is, I’m sure she’s alright.” 

Green eyes flooded with painful tears. “Yeah…”

Y/N shut the oven door and wiped her hands on her gingham apron. 

The sound of boots filled the little kitchen and Y/N smiled as Dean snuck up behind her. His sweaty arms fit perfectly around her waist and his scruffy chin landed on her shoulder. 

“Whatcha cookin’, good lookin’?” he asked, sniffing at the air. 

Y/N laughed and let herself relax against him. He was warm from the sun and smelled like grass clippings and rich dirt. 

“Oh, just an apple pie,” she said, closing her eyes for a moment. “I know you’re not a fan, but-” 

His fingers wiggled around her middle and she laughed, tickled by his touch. 

“Oh, I’m a fan.” He nuzzled at her throat and then lifted his lips to her ear. “I’m a fan of you too…” 

Y/N hummed and spun in his arms, turning to face him. She wrapped her hands around him, letting her fingers curl in the short hairs at the nape of his neck. 

“How’d we get here?” she asked, soaking in the love beaming from his emerald eyes. “Cute little house in the middle of nowhere, pie in the oven, dogs in the yard? Don’t you ever wonder how things are just so… perfect?” 

Dean laughed softly and shrugged. “I guess I don’t think about it much. Why worry about things when they’re good?” 

Y/N smiled. “So things are good?” 

He licked his lips and eyed hers, his arms locking behind her back, pulling her closer. “Baby, things are… awesome…”

yeah tbh i don't have a very confident idea on what it means... i guess i've got a few possible ideas as to what it could signify but... again, i'm not confident in them so do with these what you will 👍!

also this is kinda long and rambly lol oopsie daisy...

it could represent John having been just born (as he directly refers to himself in the song as "a newborn" and also talks about how he was "born" only very recently in Neoplasm). now if this was meant to mean this, I would think they would have used the crying of a newborn baby to represent it since they cry when they're born, not laugh. which the audio seems to contain laughing, not crying. and newborns cannot laugh yet, only cry. so maybe instead of having just been born it's meant to allude to the fact that he's very very young.

cause i'm not really sure when exactly John split! was it before the murder(s)? during? after? idk lol.

i REALLY need to actually sit my ass down and read those long ass tarot card analysis posts for MeMe because i haven't really read any yet because i suffer from Cannot Fucking Sit Down And Focus To Read Giant Paragraphs Of Words disorder... which is ironic because i love rambling and making long posts. as you can see.

but anyway. maybe he split to deal with the stress leading up to it. or maybe he split to deal with the stress of the murder(s) having already happened and to take the responsibility even if he didn't actually kill anyone. it's not uncommon at all for an alter to split afterwards to take on the aspects of a trauma that can't be accepted.

for example- if Mikoto is the murderer, maybe John split to be someone who did want to murder the victim(s) and to be someone who doesn't feel any guilt over having done it. and then the other characteristics to his personality are to support this: unapologetic, doesn't take any shit, fine with being violent to protect himself and others, doesn't feel bad about rebelling, etc. hell, he could even legit believe he was the murderer depending on how far his role to take responsibility for it goes.

if John is the one shown mostly in Double (because there's certain imagery to suggest that maybe he isn't there for a lot of it. but also imagery to suggest he is. i hate it here my brain is too small for this), he may have not actually done the murder(s). if the inside of the train represents the subjective reality (not the objective reality) of what happened, so how John sees it, then that could be why he's doing the "killing" on the train even though we know the confirmed murder happened outside the train station. he's there to be the murderer, even if he may have not actually done it. and why we see mannequin pieces flying outside the train, where the murder occurred, as he swings from inside the train.

ok i had another explanation but i cant seem to figure out how to word it... and also it's more to me like a "oh, an interesting nod to this thing maybe..." and less an actual theory.

heyy!! hope you’re having a good day so far! i was wondering if i can have some headcanons of abbacchio and fugo reacting to the fem! reader who’s new to the team, and is fairly quiet and chill (and a little bit shy), but has a pretty strong stand? despite her introverted self, she’s kind and doesn’t mind talking to people every once in a while. however, out of everyone on the team, abbacchio and fugo are the only ones the reader rarely talks to unless they go up to her first or she has to talk to them. she doesn’t hate them or anything, rather, she’s a bit intimidated by them (i mean, abbacchio lowkey has a resting bitch face, and giorno has probably told her about how abbacchio wasn’t too fond of him when he joined the team, so she assumed she wasn’t fond of him either. and the reader’s also seen fugo’s outburst at least once while he was tutoring narancia so she figured she should just leave him alone for majority of the time in case she does or says something that’ll trigger him). bonus points if abbacchio and fugo start gaining a crush on the reader, yet she still doesn’t talk to them that much. tysm!! <3

Fugo 🍓

Now, Fugo isn't someone who is quick to trust others, but as long as you don't bother him he won't bother you either. Live and let live, as they say.

Ever since you first met him, he could tell that you didn't exactly look comfortable around new people, and thought it was for the best to just leave you alone. After all, he's quite introverted too, it's better to leave the job to the overly energetic members of the group.

After some time, however, he starts to become a bit self-conscious and begins to wonder if there is something in particular that makes you dislike him. He's seen you talk with most of the squad with no problems, yet...You still keep on avoiding him.

After some self reflection, he realizes that it's most definitely due to his angry outbursts, which makes Fugo feel even worse about himself. His temperament has always pushed people away, and you're the living proof of how much it affects his daily life, while he seems to be incapable of doing anything about it.

As such, he slowly sees the possibility of getting closer to you as a chance to prove to himself that he can control his emotions, instead of them controlling him.

Being the awkward teenager that he is, the thought of having to be the one to make the first move literally terrifies him, so all of his attempts at talking to you at first end up in him making a fool out of himself most of the time lmao.

No but seriously, reader is just chilling in the salon, while Fugo is reading a book in the opposite side of the room. Complete silence fills the place, as the two of you are too shy to speak.

"...Did you know that Australia is wider than the moon?"

"...That's...Uh...Pretty cool"

"...Ok I have to go bye see you-"

And there he goes, leaving the room as fast as he can, probably also dropping his book by accident in the meantime, forcing him to internally scream and lay down in order to pick it up. Mista and Narancia are going to tease him to death for this.

You probably don't even realize that was an effort at starting a conversation, although you must admit, it was pretty fun to see the usual well composed strawberry boy struggling like that for something so minor.

Fugo is almost never sent on missions alone, especially because his stand is way too unstable, and relying solely on it in order to compete a task is quite the risky choice indeed. This leads to the two of you eventually being sent to defeat an enemy together.

This only increase the boy's anxiety and fear of pushing you away even further, you had never seen his stand before, and honestly, he wished you never did, it was the living embodiment of everything he hated about himself.

At the same time, perhaps this was his opportunity to show you that you could trust him, all he had to do was keep his anger under control and defeat the stand. Easy, right?

...To his surprise, however, what he was met with on the battlefield was not what he had mentally prepared for. As soon as the two of you got there, he was impressed to see what a skilled and precise fighter you actually were. He basically stood there in disbelief as you took out the enemy almost all by yourself.

Nonetheless, this was no job for a single person, and as soon as the boy saw you struggling, his stand manifested. He pulled you by your arm and out of Purple haze's range, as the latter took care of defeating the stand user once and for all.

His sudden touch made you flinch for a split second, and the image of the rotting corpse created by the creature surely was not a nice one.

"Nice job, I'm impressed"

He shyly said, giving you a little smile. FINALLY he said something right!...Although it was partially a way to distract you from the horrifying scene in front of your eyes, but he genuinely meant that, I swear.

You muttered a 'thanks' and looked away, convincing him even more that there was just no way to win over your affection.

After you came back home, Fugo watched as you headed towards Giorno's room to get your wounds healed. Since his weren't that deep, he simply went to his own and closed the door behind him, taking a moment to think about all that had happened. You worked together, as a team, and he didn't screw it up!

And to his surprise, it felt...Nice, your stands made a wonderful pair, despite his usual dislike for fighting with the help of someone else.

He gave it some more thought, realizing that maybe...The two of you weren't so different. You were both quiet, introverted, pretty shy...Yet, that didn't stop you from being confident in battle, or from taking with other people.

You thrilled his curiosity, he wanted to be more like you, in a certain way...He started to admire you.

Your distant behavior wasn't going to let him stop you. You could see his genuine yet subtle efforts to gain your attention, including sparing a strawberry of his cake for you, or asking if you'd like to listen to him play the piano.

He's a good observer, so he might even learn a song you like just to please you, but he'll act like he didn't know how much you loved it, if you were to ask him about it.

You'll probably be confused by these little changes at first...Perhaps you'll learn to appreciate them sooner or later.

Abbacchio 🔄

While I follow the "Abbacchio hates Giorno because he reminds him of his past self" headcanon, I also believe that he's not very accepting of newcomers in general.

He's that kind of person who prefers to remain in his comfort zone and finds enjoyment in his stability, but in the moment something changes about it, he reacts in an abrasive manner, which is being a jerk to the new member.

Luckily for you though, you seem to be the kind of person that just follows what she's told, so I don't believe the man would have many occasions to pick on you, you're safe for the most part.

He's actually kind of glad you don't even bother trying to talk to him, he almost forgets you're even around sometimes. Honestly, he doesn't think much of you, and when he sees you nonchalantly talk with another person, he doesn't care. He knows he can be intimidating and doesn't blame you for avoiding him.

However, that does not remain an option for long. In fact, Bruno wants everyone in the team to get along with one another, he doesn't tolerate members completely ignoring each other's presence, which is why, after seeing no sort of progress in your relationship, he decides to send you both investigate and capture an enemy.

Abbacchio rolls his eyes to the sky when he finds out you'll accompany him. He's never seen you in battle, and considering how shy and quiet you are most of the time, he's grown to think that you were nothing but a wimp. Most of the time, he was even surprised to see you come back home alive.

During the mission, on the other hand, you gave him the proof that you were a valuable partner in crime. You followed his orders, did exactly as you were told, and as soon as the situation called for it, the power your stand held forced the other to face reality: you were brave and capable of fighting.

The albino just...Blinked a couple of times, to make sure that what he was looking at was actually real. He didn't interfere further, he only stopped you before the enemy could die, as the two of you were only ordered to capture them, not kill them.

It was from that moment on, that Abbacchio started to gain respect for you. However, that only caused a doubt to emerge in his mind: If you were really that strong, why did talking to him scare you that much? It didn't make sense.

He would never admit it, but a part of him was quite disappointed to see how much you still decided not to even look at him most of the times. He thought that after the battle, you would have at least greeted him without your voice shaking.

Were you waiting for him to make the first move? He's never been good with approaching others...Why do you have to put him in such an uncomfortable position?

You've actually convinced him, at least a little bit, to get out of his comfort zone and accept a change in a positive manner, you've surely made quite an impression on him, let me say this.

He's more mature than Fugo, and is self-aware enough to tall to you in a way that won't come off as entirely awkward or out of the blue.

I can see him offering you some tea as a small chance to bond. That way, the two of you won't even be forced to talk with one another, just spending some time in each other's company while sipping a good cup of tea.

...To be fair though, you've heard stories about what he did to Giorno when he first joined, and you were a but reluctant to accept at first lol.

If you ever saw him listen to music, he'd probably catch your attention before you can leave, wanting to know what kind of genre you like, before asking you if you'd like to listen to something with him.

Overall, he still keeps his distance and will give you lots of space at first, but he believes that little gestures are what really matter when getting to know someone as closed off as you.

He partially likes this, and he waits for the moment when you'll start talking with him freely like you do with the others.

Seeing your little smile during one of your conversations was low-key the moment he felt the most proud of himself in quite a long time.

I’m curious (so I’m just gonna throw these questions at you); are there any changes or directions you would like to see regarding Batman, Joker, and/or Batjokes in the mainline comics?

What are some aspects about Batman and Joker that you feel are ignored or neglected by writers, if at all? (Is that even a reasonable question to ask? I’m always so worried I’m missing the point. These characters are so complex, which is great, that’s a reason why I love them, but the complexity muddles my brain at times and I’m not sure of what questions to ask and if they are valid in the first place).

When writing Batman and Joker, what are some key things to consider regarding their individual traits and of their relationship?

I’m so sorry for the interview-esque ask. Not trying to shove questions down your throat! I hope that you’re doing well, please take care.

Hey!! First of all, thank you for the ask, and for all the kind words you always leave in my tags. I'm baffled at the support and I'm really glad you enjoy my rambles. All the love to you <3

Since these are three questions, my answer did end up long, so I will put it under the cut.

As to the first question... uh. That's complicated, I guess. I am quite disillusioned with DC as a whole, so even though I have specific storylines I would like to see, I wouldn't trust them to get them right. However, to be fair, it's not entirely their fault. It's the nature of the medium too. I might want to see a story in which Bruce actually and genuinely gets to heal from his trauma, but that will never be the end. Batman's too popular for that. Like Sysiphus, he'll have to exist again and again, in countless versions and universes. He'll be reinvented and revived until there's no more interest, probably -- and it's the same with Joker. That said, there are stories I would like to see. I feel like Batman Who Laughs was such a missed opportunity for a genuinely cool psychological story, for instance. That whole chemical thing was a cop-out, when we could've gotten Bruce killing someone either by accident or by losing control in some way (sort of like TWOJAR but without anyone stopping him and with more... in-character circumstances). Then, it would've been so interesting to see Bruce's psyche break down to the point of him killing Joker, and becoming the villain he always feared turning into. As to Joker, I'd give a kidney for a genuinely nuanced story about him facing his past, because his character is literally defined by running away from it. You've got Going Sane and White Knight as variations on 'hey what if Joker became sane' but they're not at all what I mean. In Going Sane, Joker simply fabricated and assumed a different identity -- he doesn't deal with his memories or his former self in any way. And do not get me started on White Knight, because I hate the idea of some pills just erasing Joker's so-called 'insanity' and with it, his love for Batman. Those pills basically turn him straight for Harley. Yeah that's a great way to imply gay love is obsessive and turns you insane, thank you DC. To be honest I'm pretty sure DC will try... something with Joker's former family at some point, because they had Jeannie and Joker's son be alive in The Three Jokers (which I also hated). And thing is, it could be an interesting story! But I'm like 90% sure it'll suck, because they treat Joker like a one-dimensional evil cardboard cut-out of himself these days. (I did actually start writing a story about Joker more realistically facing his past myself, in Falls the Shadow. Be the change you want to see in the world, I guess.) And when it comes to Batjokes... a story where they team up would be cool. Like that Deadly Duo comic they were planning and that never panned out, apparently. Also, I'd just really find it funny if Joker got kidnapped by aliens or something in full view of the Justice League, and everyone's like "...Yeah, that's cool. It's fine. Him off planet is actually great." Meanwhile Bruce is like "It's a sacred human life! He has to be rescued! I'm going after him!" Basically him being just as stupidly incapable of letting Joker go as in Devil's Advocate, but to an even bigger scale :)) I just think it'd be hilarious to see Bruce dragging Joker back from some remote planet like something of his that got misplaced while everyone is facepalming.

The second question is a perfectly reasonable one to ask! Don't think you're missing the point in any way; and I fully agree these characters have so much history and are so complex it gets headache-inducing sometimes. Aspects of Batman and Joker that I feel are neglected or ignored... well, when it comes to Bruce, it bugs me that Bruce displays character development a bunch of times, but the next writer just bulldozes over it. Again, this is also due to the nature of comics as a medium, and everyone trying to put their own spin on the character, but still. It gets very frustrating. You're like, "Ah, he's finally self-aware about the bullshit he puts his kids through! He's trying to change! He's trying to prioritize his own happiness over his Vow for once!" and a couple of issues later it all gets undone. Sigh. Though for Joker it's a lot worse, I feel. What gets ignored and neglected when writing him is 100% his humanity. There's more than one comic showing more humane sides of him, outright spelling it out that he's not just the Evil Psychopath most fans are eager to believe him to be. But these sides of him -- having emotional breakdowns, not being able to find 'the joke', empathizing with children and trying to help an abused one, having so many comics imply he had a horrible childhood full of physical and even sexual abuse, having some sort of genuine affection for Harley -- are pretty much ignored in more recent depictions. He's just purely unapologetically 'evil', which takes away so much from a very complex and interesting character.

As to the third question, regarding writing Batman and Joker and what to keep in mind... uh. That's complicated, once again. Whenever I write for a fandom I basically bathe my brain in content until I feel I have a good grasp on the characters, and then I just write. They do the work themselves afterwards. Sometimes I might really want to explore something but then the characters won't let me. It's an unconscious thing for me that's hard to break down into components. But in general, there's one thing I believe is essential when writing Batman and Joker in any iteration, and that's the fact they're equals. Sometimes fan depictions of Joker... woobify him a bit too much, turn him into a desperate emotional mess only craving Batman's attention. This takes away from the balance of power between them, in my opinion. Not to say Joker isn't obsesed with Batman and vocal about it; but he's also spent decades fighting him and harming him. Him giving up his entire identity that he so effortfully created in order to deal with his trauma (which is half-Batman related, half entirely not) just for Bruce's romantic attentions feels OOC to me. Not to mention it gives Bruce too much power over him, and the guy has enough problems with that as it is. He doesn't need another person he can control, he needs someone who can withstand his controlling tendencies and fight him on them.

Yeeeah it is what it is, I was PROPER devastated when I realised my love for it had died, because it had brought me alot of happiness during a dark time, but I just didn't enjoy using those characters in content anymore, I'd fallen off the Sebastian bandwagon like 2 fuckin months ago, and was using him less and less over time, and I found myself writing Marvolo content more than I was writing HL content and people started to notice, but I carried on even though I knew I didn't fuck with HL anymore, because I was just holding onto it, and yeah the day I officially left the fandom as a creator for it was fuckin horrible, dude. I didn't know what to do with myself, but there was no way I was staying when I wasn't happy doing content, and I felt like I had to announce that too and just be totally honest with my following about my mental health, because I really be out here struggling with it, comes in waves and makes me manic, and I always NEED something to focus on and hyperfixate on because it helps me TREMENDOUSLY. I'd rather do that than go on pills that will make me an empty shell zombie of a person, and thank you.

Regarding that Marvolo ask you sent me a while back, I DID see it as passive aggressive, can't lie 🤣 but you caught me on a good day, so luckily I wasn't a c*nt to you lol, it's all good though! don't worry! I get it!! And I feel now, even more so, with me being so open about my development of him and my thoughts, people have a little bit more or an understanding of WHY I personally love him so much, and I still do, but again, that doesn't mean everyone has to, it's fine, but I'm glad he was/is appreciated by others too, that was always a bonus 💚🐍

Okaaay. MFS Season 3 Episode 9, let’s go. Play by play, yeah?

Warning: Major rambling ahead. I warned you.

So as I’ve predicted… there was trial, Wade returns and exposes Silver, and temporary happy ever after happens.

I’ll start off by saying that Raelle was the perfect person to deliver that speech. She relates to both sides perfectly and that speech? So empowering. I’d go to war for her if she asks, lol.

Also. Go Wade! That was surely a badass entrance, exactly how I envisioned it.

…

And then we’re back at Fort Salem.

Cute Raylla as expected.

They’re perfect, your honour. I want the braids back, please!!

…

It’s all good…

And… Gregorio appears.

And I swear… I have nothing against the actor (he’s cute and all, his character is average at best) BUT Tally seems to have chemistry with everyone, except him. Some people even shipped Gloria and Tally, for crying out loud. But Gregorio? There’s just no spark there.

I understand that they had no time for a fully fleshed out story, but they could have left it out, tbh. It won’t change the story. I mean, Gregorio was in prison—not off to the sides fighting or doing espionage work that added to the storyline. Nothing. Nada.

Again, I’m ranting too much here, but this is just so unfair for Tally.

First off, Abigail, the playgirl who only cared about rising to glory and living up to her family legacy—now a true leader, a soldier who now understands the responsibility of wearing a uniform. In romance, she’s a one-man girl, fully committed.

Then, we have Raelle, Cession girl who was a rebel and hated the army and what it stood for—now, she had a full change of heart. She does what she does now, because it’s what’s right, and not because of spite. From a lone wolf who tries not to show her feelings, now she’s found her unit and found love and romance in Scylla… Raelle found purpose to keep living and fighting.

Then to add, Scylla our necro baby… former Spree agent—now working alongside her former “enemy”. She saw the bigger picture and saw error in her previously misguided ways. Another lone wolf who now found family and friends. Again, she found Raelle, the home she’d been longing for.

And then we have Tally… Now, don’t get me wrong. She is definitely the most developed character. From a naive girl, she blossomed to a woman who stands her ground for what’s right. She literally saw the world for what it is and still fights for it.

She was from a matrifocal compound, a virgin—and now, it’s like she swapped personalities with young Abigail. I don’t shame her for it (get it Tally), but it’s just hard for me to see Tally just suddenly sucking faces with someone that I haven’t seen her interact with and actually build a relationship with. It’s just so out of the blue. They didn’t even have a scene where they’re conversing and talking about something deeper. It’s all physical, no emotion. I hate that for Tally. She deserves more than that. This is like discrete character assassination.

Anyway, moving on…

My happy pills, Raylla… at the lighthouse. They’re so happy. They deserve this and so much more, my babies!!

The pre-wedding scene with Raylla and Nicte is also adorable. Nicte is still a hardass trying to act like she doesn’t care, but she does. She cares for the unit like they’re her own. MamaNicte?

And the lobster comment. Hilarious.

Edwin and Raelle reunion, yes! I wished it was more emotional though. They haven’t seen each other, c’mon. I expected more.

But then… Anacostia and Alder. Omigod, now this made me cry. When Alder “died” the first time, it was Anacostia’s cries of grief that killed me… and now, their reunion scene is just, wow. That hug was everything.

Then, that Adil and Gregorio scene… they have more chemistry than Tally and Gregorio does. My brotp, for sure, lol.

Also that Khalida and Adil reunion…so cute. I wonder what Khalida told Adil. Hmmm.

And the unit huddle—with Scylla! I am such a simp for these moments.

Abigail and that scene with her grandmother is adorable, too. She deserves this.

Then…of course, Alder and Tally scene. Alder’s words are so ominous. Celebrate loved ones while they can? All might change soon?? Why so grim on a wedding day??

Anyway,, the wedding!

What can I say.. it definitely shows that they’re rushing. I hoped we could’ve heard the vows or even the I do’s, but the whole thing’s like a music video, lol. It kinda took away a bit of the emotion that I expected to feel. It’s still cute though.

Then Nicte… I can’t believe I’m seeing her look so rattled. Wade is a great negotiator, no-nonsense woman.

Edwin and Raelle moment—always sweet. They deserve the world after the rollercoaster of emotions they’ve been through regarding Willa.

Then, Abigail and Jem Bellweather… there’s definitely something to unfold there.

Then of course, after happiness comes bitterness. Silver got out, surprise surprise. And Hearst is still a freakin’ psycho.

Btw, necro teacher is a badass! She doesn’t get much credit and appreciation but I see you, Izadora. You fought well. The only consolation now is that you’ll finally be with the Mother.

And I’m worried for Penelope. I hope she’d learn that it was Hearst who poisoned her and then she’d go apeshit on him. Hang on.. if he’s like a “witch” because of the stolen vocal cords, does that mean he can be affected by the witch plague?? I hope it’s his own creation that ends up killing him. That’ll be so satisfying.

Meanwhile, our beloved unit are enjoying a campfire. And yes, mamaCostia… I definitely didn’t predict “this”.

And Raelle singing to Scylla (and everyone)… gosh, you can see Raelle/Taylor’s nerves as Scylla/Amalia stared at her singing… and when Scylla looks, she really gazes at Raelle… her feelings are palpable.

It’s all so happy… then it’s gone again, as predicted.

But Raelle! Why does she suddenly look possessed and why is she bleeding?? Did Hearst do something to the Mother? And who’s back??

I swear, if something happens to any of them, I will have more and more words for you, Eliot.

Gosh, I’m so anxious for what happens next. There’s still so many to wrap up.

This episode already felt so rushed, I hope the last episode is at least not as much. I feel like they could’ve made better cuts to showcase the story, add some more to other scenes and leave out other that’s unnecessary *ahem*Gregorio*ahem*.

But I still have faith in this show. I hope this season ends with a bang.

Alpheratz: As aloof as he tends to appear, he can pay close attention to anything he values. And you are of value to him, so when he sees you interacting with cats, he prepares to tell you to wash your hands. Sometimes he will laugh at how you look afterwards though.

Arcturus: He will check if there are cat breeds that prevent allergic reactions, and suggest them to you. But this is just in a passing comment, because he feels like this suggestion would make him sound like he hates your current cats. He does not. He loves them with his heart! He occasionally has desinfecting wipes with him, so they may help.

Pollux: You have less luck than him, and he will make this an inside joke. Sometimes he will gift you little cat-shaped objects (like keychains, sometimes cookies, pillows) and directly mention that they are allergy-free! Also prepare for him to cuddle your cats and ask them in a baby voice: "Who is too cute zo handle? Yeah, you are!"

Sirius: His wrath against cats continues. Your allergy should be a sign that cats exist to spite and create chaos, but you still treat them with love. That is frightening to him. A stare that would traumatize children is cast upon the cats, but otherwise he will remind you to wash "those sinful creatures off."

Spica: He researches allergy-free cat breeds and would not shy away from buying you one if you express interest. Otherwise, he will always remind you to take your allergy pills (if you have them) or to go and wash yourself. When you do get an allergic reaction, he will sigh but tell you in a caring tone to take better care of yourself.

Vega: His protectiveness causes him to not let you pick up your cats, but you insist, so he has no choice but to let you care for your little ones. But oh man, he is scared of your allergic reactions, because he wants you to be healthy and you look anything but good. Sometimes he can remind you to clean your hands, but he can barely remember that himself.

WELL ANYWAYS NEZUMI INFO/LORE DUMP

Nezumi is some random eight year old who wanders around the forest. She has a toxic/abusive relationship with her sister, Widow (I will post about her soon)

Widow tends to manipulate Nezumi into thinking that their relationship is healthy and is the relationship that is right. Nezumi believes this and doesn't see anything wrong, even if her sister physically/mentally/emotionally torments her. She trusts her sister with her entire heart and soul and has much respect and loyalty towards her. This trust led to her sister taking advantage of her.

Widow sacrificed (or tried to) her sister to the gods of Mori (A religion that'll be explained in more depth soon). The ritual happened successfully and caused Nezumi to enter the spirit world. She met someone there who cared for her. Eventually her staying in the spirit world started to "infect" her, causing her body to change into that of a Nightcrawler (Will explain those later soon)

Only half her body underwent the changes since she left quickly with the help of her friend.

When she went back to her town, she was made fun of for having half her body being dark purple with symbols on her arm and leg. Which made her upset.

She took drugs to make her feel better, but since she lives in a world where mental health is never prioritized, the pills she took were highly unstable and basically made her insane.

Then at some point she went to the woods.

Since she's always injured and hurt by other people, she has become used to it. She doesn't care if someone is trying to hurt her, she would volunteer to be hurt if needed. This is why she doesn't ask people to stop, she just wants people to be gentle with her and carry out their wretched deeds quickly.

This doesn't mean she *wants* people to hurt her though, she will avoid being tortured if she can. If she's entirely helpless, she won't really care and only focus on how rough the attacker is.

She doesn't understand emotions very well. Which is why it's hard for her to comfort others even if she tried. This makes it hard for her to react if anyone were to talk to her about their problems. The only advice she really has (but doesn't say because thats mean) is "ok go suck a stick and deal with it :3" since thats what her sister tells her

She grows up to be the opposite of how she is though. The influence of her sister changes her significantly to the point where she thinks it's okay to hurt people. She actually becomes worse than her sister (which is shocking lmao) and the only reason she becomes worse is because her tremors get worse with age (nightcrawler moment) and if shes trying to torture someone theyd usually act up making any cuts or strikes messy and painful because shes just shaking her hands violently lmao

She thinks very lowly of herself and sees herself as a rat (her name literally means rat in japanese) and thats why she doesn't really take of herself (she hates rats therefore she hates herself /hj)

She goes months without eating or drinking anything (shes immortal thats why she still alive) which is obviously bad for her.

oh yeah she can dislocate a lot of her joints and is very strong in general for someone who looks like theyd wither away if you poke them

Ppl on the sobriety site I just got PISSED at me for trying to find humor in the fact I nearly died out was brain dead. But I think it’s funny do, here

Ok short story: we had a really bad drug reaction that fucked up our brain to shit and hell and back lol & it all made us forget how to walk. We were in the hospital for a week & just got out yesterday evening (9/31).

Ok long story: we had a funnier story to compensate for feeling like shit so here it goes—

But yeah, loads of pills for three weeks straight that eventually interacted so badly (one of which actually had METH even though it WAS NOT advertised as meth lmfao). & on like Tuesday last week we started to lose it & by Thursday we were no longer a person, just a burnt brain in a box. So husband took us to hospital bc he (rightfully) thought we were dying. And ig while we were in there, unable to walk & bound to a bed, our dumb brain 1) thought we were back in Wyoming & got so mad our mom wasn’t visiting (even though I haven’t talked to her or the family in nearly 5 years),& 2) we then thought we were in Japan & couldn’t read or understand English (yet could speak it??) and finally 3) we then “knew” only that we were somewhere in west LA (which idk if y’all know is a huge area lolll).

Between last Thursday and this Thursday we had 0 memory except stupid things like we hated a TV show that was on lol. But by this Thursday We’d re-learned to walk (for the most part, still wobbly & on a cane. but also LOL bc we were still having issues walking so we got so pissed that’d we kept tripping on everything & falling out of the car, etc.

Luckily We’re SO much better today, walking is kinda back to our normal chronic pain walking. And We’ve been so much happier. PLUS, We’re gonna start to be sober from drugs & alcohol starting from the Friday after we were admitted. It’s gonna be hard as fuck bc of the BOREDOM & CONSTANT pain. But we think with everyone here & on fb & on Insta & on Tumblr it’s got to be a lot easier to keep going.

BUT ANYWAY. TLDR: FUCKED UP MY BRAIN WITH DRUGS & AM NOW GETTING SOBER.

got a new kitty, his name is Bingo, i love him

my DC special interest only got worse, i am LOST, i’ve read over 500 comics in the last month and a half and it’s all i ever think and talk about lmao (i can quote so many Jason lines, it’s become a problem)

my sibling got top surgery yesterday and i am SO jealous

didn’t go through with my hysterectomy and instead i’ll just stay on pills

got new tattoo, it’s a clown dog :•>

started being able to go out and go to new places all by myself which is great for my brain but awful for my wallet lmao

got a new friend! then i started ghosting them and now i feel too bad to reach out to them again

comic con was fucking awesome, my sibling and i are going to go as Nightwing and Red Hood next year (why is every dysfunctional sibling dynamic in media always fits us so well? them, the eldest, prodigal, favorite, big older sibling energy, me youngest/middle child, troublemaker, loud, estranged. fr we watch Arcane or read anything with Jason and Dick and we’re just like… yeah that’s us). i bought a really cool Red Hood leather jacket and plan on buying the Nightwing one for my sibling this christmas so we can match. also i made crowbar earrings for my cosplay and yes i think i’m very funny
