Black Mirror S4 'USS Callister' Episode Explained
Black Mirror S4 ‘USS Callister’ Episode Explained
Black Mirror season 4 first episode ‘USS Callister’ treks us off into space for another intriguing adventure. A bright and colourfully clad crew are under the command of Captain Daly, going to corners of the Universe that this Netflix series has never gone before. It is soon revealed that Captain Daly (played by Jesse Plemons) is a suave, charming version of nerdy game-designer Robert Daly. With…

'Annabelle: Creation' Film Review: That Doll Still Scares Me!
Not going to lie, 'Annabelle: Creation' did a pretty good job of solidifying my fear of that god-awful doll! Not the best horror in the world, but one to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Annabelle: Creation is the fourth instalment of The Conjuring/Annabelle film series. So, you’d have thought by now that I wouldn’t be so scared of a motionless doll! However, despite only a brief appearance in the original film and with Annabelle itself, I still find the Annabelle doll so unnerving. Whilst, not the scariest film I’ve ever seen, Annabelle: Creation certainly kept me on the edge of…

'Game Of Thrones' S7E5 'Eastwatch' Episode Review
'Game Of Thrones' had a lot to do in order to rival 'Spoils Of War'. Was so glad to see that 'Eastwatch' had plenty of character development and definitely the addition of a few more twists and turns along the way. Season 7 of GoT has been well and truly awesome!
Game Of Thrones had a big job to do with ‘Eastwatch’ this week, especially after me being in complete awe of ‘Spoils Of War’. This week’s episode was pretty damn good, minus the epic battles, although still a hefty dose of dragon fire. I’ve said it before, but Daenerys is incredibly close to falling off her rocker, but by the looks of it, they all might be. Plenty went on in ‘Eastwatch’ so let’s…

'Dunkirk' Full Film Review: Fight Them On The Beaches
'Dunkirk' is a fantastic war film from the great Christopher Nolan. Arguably a little slow at the times, the landscape and atmosphere created is both chilling and harrowing. I highly recommend taking that trip to the cinema!
Dunkirk was a brilliantly haunting war film, detailing the harrowing reality of the WW2 Dunkirk evacuations. Whilst arguably slow at times, this new 2017 film carefully constructs a glimpse of what it would be like to be stuck on that fateful beach. With the clock frantically ticking throughout, this film shows the experiences of the men on the ground, Brits in their fishing boats and Spitfire…

'Game Of Thrones' S7E4 'Spoils Of War' Episode Review
Fiery, ferocious and full of dragon fire, this latest 'Game Of Thrones' episode put many of our dearly beloved characters on the line. I'd say that 'Spoils Of War' is for sure one of our best episodes to date!
I think all queries about ‘Spoils Of War’, Game Of Thrones’ latest episode, being only 50 minutes long now seem meaningless after THAT end battle scene. Can we even call it a battle? It was a massacre! An angry Dany literally incinerated a large chunk of the Lannister army, as well as most the supplies taken from Highgarden. Season 7 treated us to possibly one of the best GoT episodes yet, and I…

'Game Of Thrones' S7E3 'The Queen's Justice' Episode Review
Whilst 'The Queen's Justice' episode was a little slower than it's two season 7 predecessors, there was still plenty to enjoy and talk about in the third and most recent episode of 'Game Of Thrones'.
The latest Game Of Thrones episode ‘The Queen’s Justice’ was little filled with stuff to talk about. Whilst I think it a little ‘oomph’ compared to the previous two episodes, it’s fair to say that it’s all going down in Westeros. This episode certainly had plenty of death, drama, and stone cold revenge – what else could you want?! Despite awkward sibling reunions and the quickest city siege ever,…

'War For The Planet Of The Apes' Film Review: Monkey Business
‘War For The Planet Of The Apes’ Film Review: Monkey Business
War For The Planet Of The Apes is the third and final instalment of the most recent Planet Of The Apes saga. It was the least enjoyable out of the other three films. There, I said it. Whilst it was still miles better than your average action flick, I was expecting a lot more from a film that promised an all out war. The film shows Caesar and his apes, attempting to survive in an apocalyptic…

'Game Of Thrones' S7E1 'Dragonstone' Episode Review
It's back! Here's my review and recap of the 'Game Of Thrones' season premiere 'Dragonstone'. This new season GoT looks to be a good one. All characters are prepared for battle and now that Winter is here, the war has truly begun!.
It’s back! Game Of Thrones has finally returned and winter has truly arrived! After a fiery end to season 6, and a battle to end all battles, season 7 has certainly got some standards to live up to. The hype is real for this new season, and with the end of the show in sight, there’s plenty of action to come. This is an episode review and discussion so please expect plenty of spoilers ahead. …

'Spiderman: Homecoming' Review: Enjoyable, But That Was About It
'Spiderman: Homecoming' was great, but arguably fell a little flat. Whilst I'd happily sit down and watch this new 2017 Marvel film again, I feel it felt short of other big superhero movies that we have already seen this year.
Whilst I can honestly say that Spiderman: Homecoming was a great film, I feel I’m not alone in saying that it wasn’t much more than that. Spidey was in true form with his wisecracks, teen behaviour, and nerdy antics made him a Peter Parker that we have never really seen before. Yet, now with his own little section of the MCU expanding, I didn’t feel like this film meant much and was sort of left…

'Baby Driver' Full Film Review: Speedy, Slick & Sophisticated
My 'Baby Driver' Full Film Review. Edgar Wright strikes again with this awesome new 2017 film! Fast-paced, fun and musically-sound this film is certainly worth heading to the cinema for!
Some films simply reek of being an all-out throwaway project. Designed to be a quick money-grabbing flick, these films the ones which disappoint every single time. However, I was delighted to see that Baby Driver felt like a true labour of love. Carefully directed, created and choreographed, you simply have to be swept away with this epic new 2017 film. Edgar Wright directs this film where Baby…

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage or Iron Fist? Who Is The Best Defenders Member?
We're edging closer to 'The Defenders', so let's compare the team members and see who had the best series, characters, scenes and more! Can't wait for the new Marvel Netflix series to be aired!
The Defenders is almost upon us, it’s almost time for this new superhero team to form! We’ve had five solo seasons of build-up readying us for this team-up, so it’s fair to say that expectations are high. The trailer has already shown Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist meeting up, so I thought it was time to update my Is Luke Cage Better Than Daredevil and Jessica Jones? list with…

Carnage Is Coming: Can't Wait For The R-Rated Venom Movie!
Carnage is coming in the 2018 'Venom' Movie! Very excited for this announcement! Who will play Carnage in his first film appearance?
Carnage is coming! We haven’t even seen Spiderman: Homecoming yet and we’re already being told what to expect next from a new age of Spiderman films. I was overjoyed to see the Venom movie announced especially with Tom Hardy at the helm as the blue symbiotic Marvel villain (A.K.A. Eddie Brock). Although he may not be the big new baddie as the supervillain Carnage has been announced as the villain…

Finally Finished 'Iron Fist' On Netflix! Here's Why I'm So Late
There's nothing particularly wrong with 'Iron Fist' it's just not fast-paced enough to keep you wanting more. Slow plots and multiple tangents left me prioritising other shows and struggling to get through the episodes.
Iron Fist was released an eternity ago on Netflix, and despite being a huge Marvel/Netflix fan, I’ve only just finished the series! The reason I’m so late in finishing? Iron Fist wasn’t a compelling watch. It had all the ingredients for a good series, but when it came down to it, I would often find myself prioritising other shows to watch. To put it in perspective, I’ve managed to rewatch most of…

5 Familiar Faces In The First 'Black Panther' Official Teaser Trailer
The first 'Black Panther' official teaser trailer has been released! It looks pretty amazing in this new Marvel trailer so far and I'm excited already. Who should you be recognizing and what do we already know about some of the characters.
The first official trailer for Marvel’s Black Panther has been released, and it looks fricken awesome! We first met T’Challa in Captain America: Civil War and with the final credit scene also showing a glimpse of the Black Panther’s secret lair (where the Winter Soldier is now being hidden). Now Chadwick Boseman is back for the Black Panther solo film. If you haven’t checked out the trailer yet,…

My 'Wonder Woman' Full Movie Review: DC Finally Gets It Right!
'Wonder Woman' was a pretty solid new DC superhero film. Gal Gadot and co. helped to create a great hero origin story set during wartime.
Wonder Woman was a pretty decent film. I’ve not really enjoyed the some of the recent DC flicks especially the likes Suicide Squad and Man Of Steel, so this one was a pleasant surprise. I do like a good origin story, and seeing Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince be brought into the real world during the midst of World War I was pretty epic. To get in the proper Wonder Woman mood, make sure to have that…

Best 'Black Mirror' Episodes: Be Right Back Meaning & Ending Explained
'Be Right Back' is one of Black Mirror's most haunting yet interesting tales. Here's my ending explanation with a focus on the inclusion of social media.
‘Be Right Back’ is definitely Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror at it’s very finest.  The episode follows the story of Martha (Hayley Atwell), a widowed woman given a way of contacting her deceased partner, Ash (Domhnall Gleeson). The process involves a piece of software which claims to be able to replicate human personality based on their digital footprint and personal laptop files. So Martha is…
