🦕 Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Jurassic Park / Jurassic World film series! 🦖 I know there's still few months until the official release date of the first film but that didn't stop Disney/20th Century Studios with Titanic 25th Anniversary theatrical re-release and it does not certainly stop me. Jurassic Park is the most important film to me in the world with The Lord of the Rings trilogy and even though many of you might hate the sequels, I don't actually. I'm back! 🎞️ @docpoint - Helsinki Documentary Film Festival started last Tuesday and I attended the opening screening as a guest. 'Rap and Reindeer', a story of a young talented Sami boy @mmiiqu who raps in his native language - coming to cinemas later this spring. At the opening party I told everyone how this year I'm not involved in any way with the festival and that I hope everyone has a great time there. The funny thing is that this was the first time in ages when I did not send my voluntery application to the festival. Not enough time, energy, too much work already on my plate and the list goes on and on. Well... Yesterday the producer of the festival called me and asked my help. So... Naturally I said yes. You can find me as a theater supervisor from @amoskonst Bio Rex and @finnkino_fi Maxim this weekend. Unfortunately this means that I can't attend the gig tonight because of my shift. Sorry Mihkku. It's already 5th of January and I have not been to the movies yet. I need to fix that this upcoming weekend. 🎞️ Maybe I should take @marttiber to see Hamsterit. He's been waiting it so long already. 😉 Last year I watched 576 different films plus 11 rewatches from the same year. 210 of those films I saw in the movie theaters plus 5 rewatches from the same year. Well this time I can say that at least one of my collections is complete! 🤩 Suomalainen elokuvamusiikki CD collection includes 10 discs full of Finnish movie music. Most of the recordings can't be found anywhere else than on these exclusive CDs. 💿 The collection starts from the very first Finnish sound film called 'Sano se suomeksi'. Fun fact is that the film itself is almost completely lost but the music for the film was recorded at Berlin and is still around. 🎤 The booklets takes you on a journey through the Finnish film history. Considering how the physical media is dying especially here in Finland, it's remarkable how many times I'm still rebuying films that I already own. Excalibur Media International has been releasing many titles which did not yet have blu-ray releases in nordic countries and I of course bought them. Well... Now they're releasing them all over again but this time with goodies. Clever. "Master Movie Classics Limited Edition" series includes a poster and some postcards from the film and as a collector I naturally have to have them. So here we are, once again buying the same films all over again.
