My 2023 Bullet Journal Set Up

I've had this finished for a couple days but I can't stop wanting to share it so... Here goes:

My future log is split over three pages. I've done the little leaf dividers in all four of my previous bujos, and I really like them bc otherwise I feel like it's very utilitarian. I am trying to decide if I should decorate the months like I usually do (on/around the text I usually do a little doodle--January is snowflakes, May is roses, December is holly, etc) so idk let me know what you think I guess?

Trying a few new things this year: I watched like a million 2023 set up videos on YouTube and saw a couple 23 23s in 2023 spreads, and while I've done level 10 life the last couple years I didn't feel like it's really working for me so I decided to try 23 23s instead. (If you want to know what my 23 things are, I have them figured out now but it took me ages.) I've also included a 2023 cover page, which is a piece of cardstock I taped in. Not pictured are the back of it and the page underneath; taped to the back of the cover page is a letter to myself for 2024, and opposite is my word of the year: assured.

The next two pages are my period tracker (a new inclusion in the start of year set up, as I usually leave it to later in the year, as a collection between January or February weeks. I also set up a wishlist and gift list, which I usually leave to sometime in October-December but figured I'd go ahead and include it up front this year. My last page is a budget spread, which I've never used before but I'd really like to get into budgeting as I like become more of an adult, so my first step is going to be tracking my monthly income and expenses here. I also have a monthly envelope for monthly expense tracking and like receipts and things, but I don't really know how it's going to work for me because I've never used anything before.

And that's my start of year set up! I'm using a leuchtturm 1917 with 120 gsm paper, which is new bc normally I just use a normal 1917. I wanted thicker paper this year but I love the features of the leuchtturm so this was a good compromise for me. I also got some new pens for Christmas, which I used lots in my set up too. And I'm loving using my journal already, so hopefully that keeps up too. Here's to a great 2023!

Happy New Year ❤️

New year, new journal, and I have been slowly planning this one out since the start of December!! I decorated the front and back of the cover myself since the journal was originally plain, and my first couple of pages includes a spread of mock bookshelves for books I want to buy, a watch list for shows and movies, and my January calendar spread!! I also have a couple pages after January for noting daily tasks etc and I kept the design simple so I’m not overwhelmed and I really love how the little floral designs turned out!!!

I didn’t make a post at the end of the year because 2022 and I had a rough few months but I made it through!

I graduated, I started a masters, I finished another wip, I ran the summer chaos writing challenge (thank you for everyone who joined) and I made a lot of close friendships here and at my new uni which has been amazing!!

Special shout out to @ink-fireplace-coffee @stories-by-rie who actually saved my sanity on multiple occasions this year ❤️❤️❤️

and to all the people who helped me out at the start of last year when money was tight and I was spiralling, your kindness was incredible.

¡Feliz año nue...! Ah, que ya casi estamos en febrero, cierto...

Bueno, me he tomado mi tiempo con la preparación de la Bullet Journal del 2023 porque aún no había acabado todas las páginas de la anterior. ¡Voy a aprovechar para enseñaros cómo ha quedado!

Además, si os queréis animar este año a empezar con vuestra propia Bullet Journal, podéis consultar esta publicación en mi blog sobre consejos para ello. ¡Vamos allá!

Para empezar hice esta cosa tonta. No sé, me aburría, y quedó bien. XD

En la página siguiente escribí mis datos personales y mi correo electrónico de contacto, así como unos números de emergencia y mi grupo sanguíneo (porque soy un maldito paranoico). Pero bueno, una Bullet Journal suele llevarse a todos sitios y nunca viene mal tener esas cosas escritas por si la pierdes o te pasa algo... I guess...

(Y obviamente no os voy a enseñar esa página por respetar mi privacidad).

A continuación, hice cuatro páginas de índice y otras cuatro para el registro futuro. Este apartado es simplemente para apuntar tareas y eventos a lo largo del año. Como veis, el estilo es muy simple pero a la vez queda lindo.

Siguiendo el modelo de Bullet Journal original de Ryder Carroll, estos son los únicos apartados imprescindibles para empezar a usar vuestra Bullet. Aún así, os quiero enseñar otros que he hecho y que creo que me van a ser útiles este año. ¡Continuemos!

Esta es una doble página de propósitos de año nuevo. Aún está vacía, pero la iré llenando con mis propósitos y algunas frases motivadoras, como si fuese una "mood board" (creo que se dice así, igual no). A mayores, hice una tabla con mis propósitos y los pasos para conseguirlos. No os la voy a enseñar porque me parece demasiado privado, pero os dejo este enlace a mi blog con consejos para alcanzar vuestros propósitos usando lenguaje gamer.

Este apartado ya lo compartí antes en Twitter, simplemente es mi horario semanal codificado por colores. Para el domingo solo escribí cosas que puedo hacer para entretenerme y relajarme. La razón de esto es que, cuanto más tiempo libre tengo, menos sé qué puedo hacer. Entonces me paso todo el día pensando en posibles opciones y al final acabo por no hacer nada. Así, al menos, ya tengo algunas ideas escritas para cuando me encuentre indeciso.

No os voy a decir lo que significa cada color porque me parece demasiado privado, pero podéis estar tranquilos, no todos esos colores simbolizan trabajo. Me he asegurado de reservar tiempo de ocio cada día en el que poder descansar, jugar a videojuegos, quedar con amistades, etc. Pienso que esto es muy importante para nuestra salud y también influye positivamente en nuestro aprendizaje y productividad.

Este es otro horario, pero concretando mi plan de estudio para las oposiciones al cuerpo de maestros de Educación Primaria. En el apartado anterior ya había indicado el tiempo de estudio, aquí especifico qué estudiaré cada día. Si sois estudiantes, sobre todo de estudios superiores o para preparar unas oposiciones por cuenta propia como yo, un apartado así seguro que os ayudará a organizaros mejor, pero recordad adaptarlo a vuestras necesidades.

A mayores, escribí abajo mis objetivos de estudio, que básicamente son los temas que quiero estudiar cada semana. XD

Aquí he hecho exactamente lo mismo pero con la planificación de contenido para mi blog y el resto de mis rrss. Si queréis, algún día puedo explicar con mayor profundidad cómo me organizo para crear todo mi contenido, quizás en un vídeo de YouTube o algo, idk. En fin, el apartado creo que es bastante entendible, así que, ¡vayamos con el siguiente!

¡Y aquí tenemos más de lo mismo pero con la planificación de mis proyectos de escritura! Sé que parece un poco redundante (y lo es), pero si hago tantos apartados de este estilo es porque de verdad me funcionan. ¡Puede que también te funcionen a ti! De nuevo, quizás en un futuro haga algún vídeo sobre cómo me organizo para escribir.

En la página de la derecha voy a poner mis objetivos de escritura de los dos proyectos en los que me quiero centrar este año:

Proyecto Sueño: una novela corta sobre un chico que, luego de pasar un mes en coma, despierta con recuerdos de una chica, su novia, que nadie más parece conocer.

Proyecto Reconquista: una novela (aún más) corta sobre una guerra entre seres humanos y criaturas mágicas, furiosas con los primeros por destruir su planeta. En medio de todo el conflicto, Erik descubre que es un semielfo y busca sobrevivir con su familia en un enclave mágico de criaturas contrarias a la guerra, pero descubrirá que su papel en la batalla es más relevante de lo que pueda creer.

Si os interesa este último proyecto, ya podéis leer los dos primeros capítulos en Wattpad. Diría que este mes subiré el siguiente, pero siempre que digo algo así lo acabo gafando, así que mejor no os esperéis nada. ¡Así os lleváis la sorpresa!

Dejando el autobombo a un lado, vayamos con las últimas páginas...

Para finalizar, este año quiero ahorrar para un portátil decente. Para que os hagáis una idea, el mío actual tiene 4GB de RAM. Estoy escribiendo esto en él ahora mismo, y va con lag. ¡ESCRIBIR VA CON LAG1. Así que imaginaos lo que sufro al editar vídeos...

Bueno, la funcionalidad de este apartado se explica sola. Cada mes escribo el dinero que tengo, los ingresos que consigo y los gastos. Luego hago balance de beneficios y lo sumo a lo disponible el mes siguiente.

Dentro de cada mes planeo también hacer un apartado en el que desglose los gastos y los clasifique por categoría y tal. Con suerte, llegaré a los 500€ para el ordenador... en 2030. :D

Extra: materiales

La libreta que he usado es de Miquelrius 1839. No ha sido demasiado cara, pero de todas formas tampoco fue barata del todo, y la verdad es que me esperaba una mayor calidad de la marca. Las cubiertas no parecen muy resistentes y no está del todo bien encuadernada. No sé cómo explicarlo, pero el borde está como... inclinado... en vex de estar recto. Entiendo que con el tiempo las libretas se pueden deformar, pero es que ya vino así. XD Pero el resto de libretas y hojas de archivador de Miquelrius son geniales, yo las uso para todo (Miquelrius, patrocíname).

Las páginas son punteadas y de un color blanco. Yo estaba acostumbrado a un color más crema, pero no me molesta. Eso sí, la próxima vez que se me ocurra comprar una libreta sin numerar para Bullet Journal, me metéis una hostia con toda la mano abierta.

Para escribir, usé bolígrafos de staedler normales y los rotuladores dobles de punta pincel de Tombow.

Exercise: Pilates (video here in case you wanna join me)

I almost ditched my workout halfway through because it was getting a lil hard but I pushed through! I've been studying year long training progressions (because I coach track) and step one is building your core and focusing on injury prevention so that's what I'll do for the next month or so :) I feel like I gotta try things out before I tell my athletes to do it

I signed up for the May 5k on Strava so... I guess I will also start running again too lol I've only done one other 5k in my life and I didnt train for it and my body hurt so bad after so I wanna make sure I prep a little bit more for this one

Also started a bullet journal for all the things I wanna get done. Not sure how long it will last but here we are :^)

Używki:

1. Być wolną od nałogu. ❌

2. Nie brać leków rekreacyjnie! Ani nadużywać tłumacząc się, że potrzebuję i chuj. ✔️ (rok temu brałam dzień w dzień i o tej porze byłam na morfinie)

Terapia/praca nad sobą:

1. Znaleźć odpowiedniego terapeutę i sumiennie chodzić na wszystkie sesje. ✔️

2. Przypominać sobie co już wiem, dalej wprowadzać w życie, utrwalać, pracować nad tym czego nie udało mi się przyswoić, odkrywać nowe, mieć się na baczności, lecz z odpowiednią dozą wyrozumiałości. ✔️

3. Próbować na wszelkie sposoby (jak coś jest głupie, ale działa, to nie jest głupie).✔️

4. Nie spuszczać z oczu celu i doceniać nawet najmniejszy progres. ✔️

I’ve been a little quiet here and not posting as often. I think I’ll get back to it now. I had an interesting couple of weeks and I decided to take a week off to rest and recuperate from the stressful thing April was. I checked progress and adjusted my study goals too. I don’t know when exactly I’ll start work so, it was a good idea to feel refreshed and get back to studying again.

Happy February! I finished The Lost Apothecary last night (maybe 3-4/5, and I don't think the author has ever applied to grad school), and I'm excited for February. And very proud of my bullet journal spreads for it so you get to see lots of them.

I drew little flowers. I don't know how much I'll keep up with it because it might be a little intensive when I get busier later in the month but I hope I do because they make me happy. February is usually pink or purple for me but I couldn't decide... So I did both. I like the flowers at the top a lot more than the ones at the bottom (I'm sorry they're sideways I'm too lazy to figure out how to fix it).

And here's my weekly--a mix of January and February this week, but I think I will be sticking with basically the same format. Haven't decided which color to use on my daily lists yet but I suppose I'll have to soon.
