We had our bachelor's conference today. Honestly I feel kinda sad even though my studies don't end here, I still have two years left (I'll get a master's degree after this). Anyway, my presentation went well and I wasn't even stressed about it. I've gained a lot more confidence in public speaking this spring, and quite frankly it's nice to be able to speak in front of others without feeling uncomfortable

This one never fails to make me smile. It's just doesn't get old even though I've seen it at least half a dozen times already

Teller invented 'Shadows' as a teenager, though he has improved the trick since and has used three different methods to do it. I think it's incredible that he could come up with something like that at such a young age

There was no recent info in the exam archive on what questions has been on the second social psychology course exam and so asked my friends for help. Neither of them had taken the course themselves but one promised to ask around, and within an hour I got to know what questions were on the exam this year and in the past. I wasn't sure if I could even pass the exam but now I'm pretty confident it's possible because I know what spesifically I need to study

Homosexuality was still classified as an illness in Sweden in 1979. Swedes protested the classification by calling in sick, claiming they felt gay and were unable to work because of it. Someone even managed to get sick benefits on this basis. In October that year the classification got removed

I spend 10 hours on school stuff yesterday. The good thing is that my Bachelor's thesis is now almost done. There's only a few little things I need to add and then read it through one last time and return it to my advisor

Since I don't own a standing desk, I had to improvise one: I simply put my laptop on top of my dad's bookshelf. With all the books on top of it, it happenes to be at the right height!

Oh wow, I already got the grade from the history of psychology exam I took earlier today. This time I got a B and in one of the questions the examiner thought my answer was excellent ✌

Oh, how annoying. Someone in my neighbour started blasting music before 9 am and after a few hours break in the afternoon has been playing that damn music all evening. And if there's no music, then there's yelling and banging, also throughout the day. Well, I guess some people just are pricks

I have had trouble finding any piece on the reliability of research but tonight I found one from my own bookshelf! It's a textbook on psychological research which I found some time ago from the free-to-take books removed from our university library's collection, and it addresses these issues. Apparently it's a good idea to take home all the free books that seem even remotely interesting, you never know when they might come in handy 😁
