It is about to be that time of year when the rain is starting to leave and the dust is beginning to arrive. The first time I experienced this seasonal change was a week or two before the Covid lockdowns. There was that looming feeling of the unknown all around. To alleviate it I got some beautiful yellow flowers to brighten our day up. While walking home, strong gusts of wind, rain, and dust blew and destroyed my umbrella and flowers. Instead of being upset, I was laughing all the way home. I am not sure why but it was just so fitting. Maybe someone else needed those flowers more than I did at that time :)

Throwback to when it was one of the darkest nights I ever experienced in the Negev desert. It was exhilarating but I wondered what creatures were within reach but invisible to my eyes. Ha

This past week has been very rainy and cold. It is perfect weather for drawing soft and colorful artwork while snuggling up with Emma. When I drew this I wanted it to feel like one of those brief moments when the air feels so fresh and alive. I call this piece "Early Spring Breeze" Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! :3

Another piece for #funwithfaces I was going to make her hair white like the prompt but the reference image from r/redditgetsdrawn had the coolest gradient teal/green hair and I wanted to keep that. How are you guys feeling about this style? It is very different than my typical stuff but I am also enjoying the change right now. :)

I am back from my trip! I took a break from drawing to recharge and also to spend quality time with family. This drawing is based on a woman I saw at a bus stop when I first moved to Israel. The scene was just so interesting and I loved her fully blue outfit. :)

A piece I made after seeing some beautiful Golden Challice cup vines. I'm calling this drawing Zori. :) Today I am going to be going to a museum to draw and sharpen my skills and refresh my mind. I need it to finish my book My Bratty Boar. I am so so so so close!! <3

I was cleaning up my files and getting an early start on the New Year cleaning when I found this old piece. It was initially for a competition but Covid kind of got in the way of that. I loved working on this piece and it was enlightening to work on the fine details of an older face. I find it strange how much society hates aging. I'll admit I kind of freaked out when I found a few grey hairs. After a while, though I realized that it's kind of ridiculous to hate my body for something so natural. Maybe one day I will have beautiful white long hair like my grandmother. There is beauty in all phases of life. I look forward to creating more artwork of the beauty of aging throughout my life.

I'd like to call this gator Pebbles. I had a weird dream that I had a younger sister that was an alligator and no one seemed to be worried or confused by that. Maybe it could be a future children's book project of mine. Either way, I hope you guys are having a great week and I will be posting more updates about my book coming out this December :)

My piece of Dad's flowers on the front porch. :) I originally painted this one but then decided to digitally redraw it. I got a whim to draw it again while binging "Wednesday" over the weekend. The show reminded me of my inner struggle to want everything in my life to be grayscale and gloomy or eye-burning colorful. I can never decide in the end. I have been enjoying going back to my old work for inspiration and practice!
