A lovely photo of Rosie in her wedding dress the day she got married to Peter, her ex-beloved. She distinctly recalls how he didn’t seem particularly pleased with her wedding dress once it was revealed, a horrible sinking feeling felt in her gut as she saw Peter almost... grimace. Sure, it’s not as elegant or showy as modern day wedding dresses, as she’d ensured that she find one based on early 1900′s style of dress, but it’s what she wanted. Somehow, she knew this would happen. Regardless, she loves this dress. Sure, Peter wasn’t thrilled and joked that she looked like a grandma, but she wanted it.

“Should I kill myself, or should I drink coffee?” -Camus I find this quote fits my funky gal Kelsey, who’s daily life is a battle against whether or not she should harm herself, or keep on pushing on. She is #GoingThroughIt at the ripe age of 15, with a childhood that lacked a dad, and mom suddenly passing away due to self inflicted wound. It hurts her deeply, but at least she has a loving parent now in the form of Rosie, who is compassionate towards her struggles despite not understanding them, and tries to help prevent her from harming herself without overstepping personal boundaries. It’s a fine line to walk, and often Rosie prefers to lightly step over into being too much for Kelsey’s safety, with the stipulation that Kelsey can ask to have something back should she need it. In one alternate universe, she moves to Alta, and finds that with proper medication found there, and the relief of knowing she doesn’t need to work right after high school, let alone go to college to survive. She feels much more eager to find what life has set out for her.

Scarlet Flowers has had her ref updated! Though I need to add in a version without her hair as I’m undecided on giving my furry characters hair. She is a strong murder woman, and mother to Natasha. She’d previously been in a relationship with Toby but due to how she treated him and others, she left the relationship after being outed as a harmful individual. Nowadays, she’s dutifully in love with Albus Jakal and is eager to get married to him and take his name, and admittedly, feels the want to have a baby for the first time in her life. She’d never felt such a way before, but has never been totally closed off to the idea of wanting to have a child. After how she treated Natasha and her twin brothers, she wants to do right by getting therapy, and raising her next children with Albus as a loving mom, though it’ll be hard to shed her overbearing nature.

Marzipan is here and she’s going to steal your girl! This funky gal was lucky enough that one of her uncles could help her magically transition from male to female, though she didn’t have all of herself changed. In this drawing here she’d be about 16/17, she’s blind as well so she has a blank stare that could rival the best. Her wings connect down to her tail, though it’s not that her flight happens often, and certainly not without mom. She makes do in life just well on her own and is hesitant to agree to being given sight by her uncle Kiaran who’d replaced his one eye that’d been torn out. She’s perfectly comfortable the way she is, and is excited to some day see her homeland of Alta, and meet more Star Dragons! Gone are the days of calling them Night Beasts!

Occasionally, she brings along Uncle Jen in their travels, who was quite heartbroken when she first went on an expedition without him, as he’d been her travel buddy ever since she finished school as a young teen. Arthur Kirkland is big brother to Toby, and younger than Murdoch. He’s second oldest in the Kirkland family, and due to past history, Fergus no longer speaks to him. He is an English bloke who was a politician for quite some time, he’s had some problematic beliefs and is still adapting into newer society despite being around for about 15 thousand years, give or take a few thousand.  It’s been admittedly difficult for him to admit to himself and others that he has an attraction to men thanks to the demonization the Church and Government spread. He is currently mostly focused on gardening with his wife, and whittling away intricate animals, the only art he is good at.

Natasha has had a makeover! And I gave her the last name she’s supposed to have, Kirkland! Being Toby’s daughter after all hahah. I’ve also improved how I do an eye in a reference and I quite like it.  So here she is! My stinky girl, she loves archery after discovering she became quite proficient after surviving in the wastes, and is the kind of girl who’d be too busy looking at herself in a video call to realize she’s being broken up with.
