I found the components of this "artwork" I created with my friend last year, and I couldn't resist to implement it into my messy/trashy room. So what is better than locking it on a piece of furniture where it takes up no important/otherwise needed space?

Another surreal soup - WIP [2024/04/07]

There is a melt clock with clock hands that split and somehow stick stickily together. The split hour clock hands turn into the petals of a plant.

From these two petals two tadpoles drop down - one tadpole is older/more evolved than the other tadpole.

The split minute clock hands turn into very thin petals/straws. The tadpoles are falling down the hour-clock-hands- petals onto the minute-clock-hands- straws, sliding down into the melt clock. The melt clock has root-like structures on its dial.

The plant is blossoming with a blossom that is a bit similar to that of an orchid. The orchid-like blossom has a tiny chamber in the shape of half a walnut. A tiny frog is sitting in that tiny chamber, looking out and having large eyes. The frog looks relaxed. The frog's hands slightly hang down from the blossom.

New quick upcycling project just dropped:

the pipe box/ cylindrical box

Made with:

- 7 pipes of empty tapes (approx. 25cm diameter, and 5 cm length) [three of them got cut thinner to become inlays]

- masking tape [to stick the parts together]

- 2 fitting bottle caps [the bottle caps get screwed onto two thinner pipe inlays that stick out on the two ends of the pipe box]

- 4 thick rubber rings (that are not too tight) as decoration/weight) (I used 4 silicione ear flesh tunnels for that. (body modification supply/jewelry))

I dug too deep in the nonsense jar and became slightly obsessed with that gold nugget of idea of hydra eating itself, sorry.

The idea of hydra biting its own tail and eating itself is somehow interesting and a good method to waste spend a large amount of time. (At least it feels as if time passes faster that way...)

What do you think would happen if Hydra started to eat itself by starting from their tail?

Would Hydra rather decease, or would Hydra rather become self-sustaining and ouroboros-like?

Weeds of hydra

Memory clot - unresolved and ever-returning - deafening echoes of the past - midst the nightmare carousel - as if time is standing still - mental short circuit: the occasional temporary collapse of mind, please reboot, try again later

I do not know what I drew here. Spilled thoughts and feelings on paper...

Entangled in nonsense, occupied with fighting the weeds of hydra, drowning in utter effort while zero effect could be achieved.

... fragments of imagery like jigsaw puzzle pieces...

multiple imageries. it is not just one picture that emerges, but many.

I did not want to have all these jigsaw puzzle pieces of my own life in front of me.

What I have seen - in retrospect - left me speechless.

In attempts to speak, to communicate, only surreal imagery, figurative speech and abstract metaphor can depict what cannot put in concrete words.

Concrete words could never do justice to that "nightmare carousel", as I call it. There are no words available.

And here, as I patiently dig out all these splinters of myself that I bled out in every diary entry, every note, every quick doodle, every piece of paper I have left my mark on, I hold on.

Do I really want to dig out these splinters? Or are these splinters slowly emerging from the soil as I start to wake up from the recursive nightmare of my past?

These splinters, these memories cut deep in my flesh, they strangle me.

Like a blood clot in the brain these memories strangle me, cut off important life recources, keep me distant from effectively pulling myself outta that trap of current situation. The misery continues, different, but still perpetuating in its intensity of pain.

I feel like fighting the weeds of hydra.

I'm tired, but I'm on my way.

One day, hydra will eat their own tail,

and I will be free from their perpetuated torment.

One day the weeds of hydra will be fertile ashes.

This is a random post about some random crafts I did whenever:

The first craft I want to show is this three-colored writing utensil with a silly tag I made. The tag reads "3-farbiger Schreibstock im Röhrenbottich" which translates to "3-colored writing stick inside a pipe box". The silly aspect about that is the crude wording.

The other side of the tag reads (translated): "stylish and (semi-) functional", because its functionality, or better said writing comfort, is merely below average. It is not so comfortable to write with, yet, it has three colors which many pens dont offer. This pen/"writing stick" is more of a silly/funny gag, so its primary purpose it to cause some laughter.

Another "craft": a tiny card of Germany - I recycled a page from a calender that had this tiny card printed into it. It is the size of DIN A8

One can use it for traveling or whatever. Not so practical either.

Today I got some lingo soup for ya: (with a slightly philosophical garnish and some [almost punny] metaphor noodles)

[Beware of surreal imagery and loosen your associations, we will associate freely now: ]

"The disheveled common thread... ...returns as colorful web"

In German, the idiom "common thread" is literally translated as "RED thread" ("roter Faden").

That is why I kept spinning that metaphor noodle soup even further, and came up with the idea of the "colorful web" that emerges from the disheveled fibers of that "red/common thread".

What does it mean?

It just means that I could connect the dots about my biography and the life circumstances that we were/are in - and that now I can clean up that mess. It just means coming to terms with what happened - and yeah, it was shit. I'm happy it's over now. And although cleaning up the mess our past has left behind is extremely exhausting, I look forward to the life I have still ahead of me.

I am the colorful web of the disheveled fibers that never formed a functional thread. That's neither tragedy nor anything unique, it is just as it is, an adaption to circumstances, an adaption to feed the intrinsic will to live: Nothing more, nothing less.
