Since I am working on a couple of commissions, the colouring on Team Slytherin will be on hold, but enjoy the line art.
Also, sorry for the delay. I had a side project I needed to work on for a show. I now sell shrinky dink keychains!

Forty notes (so far) on some of my original artwork! Wow! Especially as I am less active on Tumblr.

So I designed this tattoo for my friend like forever and a day ago, but it took me a long time to digitally edit it so it looked decent online.

What is Nic up to?
Okay, so my last update was nearly a week ago, and I have nothing to show for it. Honestly, I have been as sick as a dog the last few days and still have a pounding migraine today. One of my roomies was really great and made me my ginger chicken soup so he is going to be getting a huge thank you in the future.Yelp, I am going to continue to knock my head against the wall since that actually feels better so yeah, doubt any artwork will be worked on today.

What I'm Working On:
So finishing the last of my Harry Potter/Pokemon crossover. I am finishing up my LGBT crests though I honestly need a major break from them so I will probably finish colouring a picture I drew of my partner first. I want to work on just sketching more this year though, take it easy and improve.

The third of my #AnitaBlakeFashionChallenge where I take horrible clothes and try to design them to be as untacky as possible. I'll admit this one wasn't as bad as some of the others described, but Jean-Claude will always have a place in my heart. "[Jean-Claude] sat on the leather couch, dressed all in black. The shirt had a high, stiff collar that framed his face. It was hard to tell where his hair left off and the shirt began. The collar was pinned at his throat, with a thumb-size ruby pendant. The shirt was open down to his belt, leaving a triangle of pale, pale skin showing. Only the pendant kept the shirt from opening completely. The cuffs were as wide and stiff as the collar, nearly hiding his hands. He raised one hand and I could see the cuffs were open on one side so he could still use his hands. Black jeans and velvet black boots completed the outfit." -The Lunatic Cafe, chapter 24

"[Yasmeen] was tall and slender with dark skin and long ebony hair that swung around her waist. She wore crimson Lycra bike pants that clung so tight, you knew she wasn't wearing underwear. Her top was red silk, loose and blousy, with thin spaghetti straps holding it in place. It looked like the top to slinky pajamas. Red high-heeled sandals and a thin gold chain set with a single diamond completed the outfit. The word that came to mind was 'exotic.'" -Circus of the Damned, chapter six

So I used to be a hard fan of the Anita Blake series. Although I hate where the series was taken, it still has a soft spot in my art. Anyway, I also have a love of fashion, and many of the Anita Blake books would describe outfits that were supposed to look good, but sounded pretty tacky. This is how I came up with the #AnitaBlakeFashionChallenge where I take the horrible sounding clothes and make them as untacky as possible.
Drawn back in 2015. Coloured 2017.
"The top was mostly a leather bra with lining for comfort. It was one of those that lifted and showed your cleavage to absolute best advantage. But it was tight and held in place. Nothing was falling out. My cross was visible, though. I taped it. I'd peel the tape when I left the Circus. Werewolves on the menu tonight, not vamps. The bottom was sort of leather shorts, except that where the shorts stopped, straps took over...Two leather sheaths covered my upper arms, complete with a knife apiece. The knives were high quality, high silver content. If the hilts were a little elaborate for my taste, the balance was good, and that's what counted. Two more sheaths covered my lower arms with two more knives, smaller, balanced more for throwing, though they both had hilts and weren't true throwing knives...There was a leather belt around the top of the shorts that my Browning's shoulder holster fit on nicely..The straps down my legs had small silver loops, sheaths, two more knives, one on each thigh. No knife sheaths below the knees because boots came with the outfit. Jean-Claude had finally gotten me out of my Nikes. The boots were soft black suede with heels only a touch higher than I would have liked. A tiny stoppered vial fit in small loops just below the top of each boot. I held one up to the light, and knew what it was. Holy water. " -The Killing Dance

What I’m Working On:
So I've done a decent amount since I’ve been away. I am finishing up my LGBT* crests and my Hogwarts/Pokemon Go crossover. I also have a classic literature piece that will be an ongoing project. After I finish my LGBT and crossover pieces, I honestly would just like to focus more on daily sketches to get better at my craft.
