It was around ten at night and you still weren't home. This has been going on for about a week now, and Jungkook is tired of it. He wanted answers as to why you were always late.

He was sitting in the living room with his legs bouncing, waiting for you to come home. He was anxious to thrust this issue onto you, but he felt like you were neglecting him; that maybe you might be cheating. Jungkook was never one to judge your faithfulness, but ever since you started coming home late every possible idea started popping up in his head. And when he tried talking to you about it, you would wave him off saying that you're tired.

Jungkook heard the familiar car beep. He got up instantly and trudged his way near the end of the entryway. He saw the doorknob twist open to reveal the fatigued woman he called "his". He watched you take off your shoes and place them on the shoe rack, throwing your work purse on the entryway table. It wasn't until you were steps away that you noticed your lover at the end of the hall.

Your body perked up at the sight of your boyfriend. You dragged your feet to Jungkook and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. "Hey, baby." But before Jungkook had time to greet you back, you were already sprawled out on the couch. Jungkook made a face of disdain to himself; how could you treat him like this. He felt hurt by your action. He took a minute to compose himself; he didn't want to confront you with rage coursing through his body.

Once he was calm, Jungkook made a beeline to you. He saw that your eyes were already closed; you looked very exhausted. He wanted to leave you alone, that he will have this conversation with you some other time, but he thought against it. Jungkook cleared his throat, making you open your eyes. You did a light stretch on the couch. "What is it, babe?" Jungkook took a shape inhale, "I want to talk to you."

You instantly sat up. In your four years of dating, Jungkook rarely says the words "I want to talk to you.", every time they get spoken, they would usually lead to arguments. Your attention was wide awake; you were getting nervous about what this conversation might lead to. "What is it, Jungkook?"

Jungkook clenched his jaw, tightening his facial muscles. With gritted teeth, Jungkook seethed, "I want to know why you've been coming home so late now?" You were shocked, to say the least. You knew that coming home so late would bring suspicion to your boyfriend, but you didn't think that he would be this angry.

"Umm... I..." You didn't know what to say to him. You wanted to tell him the reason, but you didn't want to ruin the surprise. Jungkook didn't like the fact that you were hesitating. You were always honest with him, never afraid to be blunt. "Why the hell are you hesitating, ____? You're fucking some other man, aren't you?" he yelled.

Your body jolted at his interrogation. His words were harsh, sending goosebumps through your body. You didn't like his assumption of you cheating. You stood up and questioned, "You think I'm cheating on you?" Your voice was laced with warning; warning that if he thought that way of you, you wouldn't be afraid to stand your ground.

One thing that Jungkook would never admit, is that every time you gave him this certain type of tone, he feels like being buried six feet under. Jungkook gulped down some spit that he didn't know was being harbored. "I don't know. You could be." You scoffed at his words, "Fuck you. I don't have time for this. I'm going to bed." You turned your body in the direction of the bedroom.

As you started walking, you heard Jungkook hysterically laughing. He growled, "Fuck me? No, fuck you, ____!" Before you halted your movement, Jungkook stomped his way to you and tightly latched his hand to your wrist, pulling you towards him. You yelped at the sudden action, pain taking hold of your arm. Jungkook immediately lets go. He was about to apologize, but you beat the gun.

You pushed him to the carpeted floor, holding your wrist to your heart. Tears started welling up. Never in a million years did you think Jungkook would say those things to you. The physical pain could not compare to the pain you were feeling emotionally. You cried out to him, "You wanna know why I've been coming home so late? You wanna know why I'm always so tired?" At this point, your tears were freely flowing. Jungkook was on the floor, not moving an inch, but he so badly wanted to wipe your tears away.

You bellowed, "It's not because I'm fucking some other man, Jungkook! It's because I took in overtime at work! I took in some extra hours to earn more money for our trip!" Jungkook was stunned at your confession. Shame taking its place in his heart. How could he accuse you of cheating? How could he say those hurtful things to you?

You softly added, "Do you remember two weeks ago, when we were talking about our parents? You had missed yours so badly because you hadn't seen them in months. You wanted to go visit them, but we didn't have the money." Jungkook started crying; he was starting to realize your reason. You faced the other way, not wanting to see Jungkook cry. You knew if you did, you would fall prey to him. He hurt you, and you didn't want to fall so easily.

Jungkook cried harder, and hearing him, so did you. You tried containing any sound leaving your mouth, coming out muffled. You sniffled, "I wanted to surprise you this Sunday. I was going to buy the tickets and book the hotel room tomorrow. I didn't want to tell you this way." Jungkook was biting his lips so hard when you were talking; he almost drew blood. When he felt your presence fading, he shot up and gently looped his arms around your torso.

He cried to you, tears falling on your shoulders, making your shirt damp. "Baby, I'm so-" You intervened, "Stop." You unhooked his arms apart. "Just stop, Jungkook. I'm tired." Jungkook shook his head vigorously. He wanted you to know how shameful he feels; apologize until you're tired of hearing it. "____, please. I'm so sorry."

You whipped your body around, facing him. You demanded, "Shut up, Jungkook! I said I'm tired, okay? We'll talk about this later." And after your ending sentence, you marched your way to the bedroom, not giving Jungkook a second to respond.

You plopped yourself on the shared bed, taking off your clothing, only leaving you in your underwear. You would've loved to have Jungkook wrap his arms around you while you went to sleep, but right now you just wanted to be alone. It only took a few minutes for your tears to start flowing again, and this time you didn't stop them. You let the tears, the darkness, and the warmth of the blanket lull you to sleep.

Jungkook on the other hand, was sitting on the couch pondering about his actions - his words. He hated himself for what he did. The way he talked to you, the way he gripped your wrist with so much force, the way he doubted your faithfulness; accused you of cheating. You are everything to him. He would move hell and heaven if you demanded it. You could say the vilest insult to him, throw your hardest punch and he'll still run back to you. He would do anything and everything just for you, but at the moment he didn't deserve you. You were the light of his life, but he knew that tonight he had dimmed you.

You woke up with the biggest headache. You haven't felt like this in years, so emotionally drained. The last time was when you had officially cut off ties with your mother. She never really approved of Jungkook, always calling him a bad influence. She was the type of person to judge the exterior before knowing what was on the inside. Hating Jungkook is an understatement, she loathed him.

You love your mother, but all the things she said about Jungkook stirred you away from appreciating her presence. He didn't want you to cut communications with her, but it was not only for him but for your sanity. The longer you kept in contact, the more you'll start going crazy about her foolish assumptions about your boyfriend. It was hard cutting her off, but it was definitely needed.

You rolled off of the bed, not caring that you were basically nude. You stumbled your way to the door, wanting to go to the bathroom. When you opened the door, you found Jungkook laying right against the beige wall. His appearance was rugged. His hair sticking up from every angle, and the faint smell of beer, he was still wearing the same clothes from last night.

Your heart tingled at the feeling that Jungkook must have stayed out here for you, wanting to be close to you, but also giving you your space. But then the reoccurring memory from last night punched its way through your brain. You slammed the door, stirring Jungkook awake. For a split second, Jungkook thought lighting came striking down to their house. His body jumped from the sudden bang, hitting his head against the wall in the process. He rubbed the sore area, hoping the action would ease the pain.

He didn't know what happened. He looked around the area for anything that might have caused the loud sound. But then he heard shuffling on the other side of the door. Jungkook got up without a second thought and was about to knock. His fist hovered the wooden entrance. He wanted to knock, but he was scared. After everything that he had done, he was worried that you wouldn't want to see him again.

Moments go by until Jungkook finally knocked on the door. "Baby?" he softly said. "Baby, can I come in?" He waited for your response, but all that answered him was silence. He clenched and unclenched his fists. Jungkook has never felt this nervous. He took a deep breath, "I'm gonna come in, ____. Okay?" He tapped his fingers against his thigh a few times, trying to calm the bundle of nerves. With one more deep breath, Jungkook carefully opened the bedroom door.

In his line of sight, Jungkook saw you curled up in the bed, the blanket hugging your body for security. He saw the throw pillows along with your clothes scattered across the floor; the whole atmosphere was messy. You were always the clean one in the relationship, so the fact that you couldn't care for the unkempt room made Jungkook more nervous than he already was.

Jungkook tried navigating his way to you, but he still wound up stepping on your clothes. When he got to you, he sat on the edge of the bed next to you silently. None of you guys peeped a word; the air was tense. You wanted to speak to him first, to yell at him for his absurdity, but you're also stubborn. So, you waited for Jungkook to talk first. Jungkook knew how you were; he knew that you were itching to say something first, but you were headstrong on finishing last.

He took it in himself to speak first. "____, I want to tell you how incredibly sorry I am, and that I regret everything that I had said." He looked at your covered figure with much sorrow. He wanted to see your beautiful face, even if you were to give him the most angered look. "Baby, can you please look at me?" You meekly spoke, "No."

A few tears threatened to escape his eyes. Jungkook took a deep breath and brought out his hand to cup your face. He slowly turned your head to face him, and you made no retaliation to his actions. Your face showed no emotion, but Jungkook saw the pain swimming in your eyes. He hurt you deeply, and he hurt you hard. "Please, know how sorry I am."

You took his hand away from your face. You rolled your eyes; you were tired of hearing it. "I know how sorry you are, Jungkook. I can see from your body language, your facial expression. I can hear it in your voice, okay? I know... So, please stop saying it." He nodded his head, understanding what you were saying. "I'm sor-"

"Jungkook!" you warned. "If all you're going to do is say sorry, then leave me alone." You went back to your previous position, trying to ignore your boyfriend's presence. He definitely knows how to push your buttons. Jungkook didn't want to leave this situation alone like this; he wanted to make it better. So, he said the first thing that came to mind, "Tell me where I hurt you, and I'll kiss it better."

You jested his words, "Kiss it better? Seriously?" Jungkook couldn't see your face, but by the tone of your words, he knew that the idea was stupid. But stupid or not Jungkook wanted to make you feel better. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Yeah. It can be a start, right?" You took a minute to reel in the idea. It could maybe be a start.

You clicked your tongue and brought your wrist to his face. Without facing Jungkook, you demanded, "It didn't bruise, but you really hurt me here. So... kiss it." Jungkook gave a tiny smile; he was happy that you were open to his idea. He carefully grabbed your arm, making sure to not touch the area he has hurt you. Jungkook's soft touch sent small currents through your body. He brought your pained wrist to his lips and placed small but mellow kisses on them. Afterward, Jungkook rubbed the area with his thumb, hoping that it would soothe the pain.

He docile his voice, "Where else?" You were thinking of a place where he should kiss next, and during that time you positioned your body forward. Jungkook watched you readjust your body; you had looked so cute to him.

You looked at Jungkook with a stern expression, and said, "My ears, from hearing you talk shit to me." Jungkook invisibly flinched at your words, but a slight hint of grimace surfaced. He bent down to you and positioned his lips to your ear. He gave you a kiss, and the small smack of the contact rang. With his lips pressed against your ear, Jungkook quietly spoke, "Tell me more, baby. Where else are you hurt?" His breath shadowed your skin, leaving you dumb.

When you stayed quiet, Jungkook got a little concerned. He lifted his head up, his face inches away from yours. "Baby?" You saw the worriedness etched into his face, creating crease lines on his skin. He placed his forehead on yours and stared deeply into your eyes. He could still see that you were angry, but slowly he saw a bit of softness take place. You didn't want to admit that your boyfriend's idea was proving right, but his gentle kisses were so hard to ignore. It's like Jungkook has this magic spell where you could never say no.

You gulped down some spit, you didn't want to choke when you talked. "My eyes. You made them painstakingly teary." You had closed your eyes for Jungkook to kiss. He took a second to stare at them. Even with your eyes closed, you could still make out the redness around them. The more he looked, the more Jungkook hated himself for your pain. With each kiss of your eyelids, Jungkook had closed his, projecting his pain to himself.

When it was done, Jungkook remorsefully uttered, "____ - baby... I'm so sorry. Ev-" You interjected, "I have one more place that I want you to kiss better." Jungkook replied, "Of course. I'll kiss wherever you want." You slightly sat up; your upper back pressed against the headboard of your guy's bed. You choked, "Kiss my heart. Out of all the places you have hurt me, my heart hurts the most." You didn't want to sound choked, but you couldn't help it. "Please, kiss me better, Jungkook." you cried.

Jungkook's heart panged harshly at your pained confession. He started crying; his heart broke into a million pieces. The one place where he vowed to not hurt at the start of your guy's relationship, he did. You tried watching your boyfriend intensely, but your tears were blurring your vision.

Jungkook moved his hand to the blanket that was still covering you. It slid down and your breast was fully seen. Usually, Jungkook would be surprised at your nudity when he wasn't expecting it, but right now, all that Jungkook could see - could focus on was the area that your heart resided in. He looped one arm around your bare torso, gently pulling you towards him, and the other rested along your back.

He kissed your heart with so much tenderness. He cried while doing so, his tears falling on your bare skin. You couldn't stop the waterworks once his soft lips landed on you. Jungkook kept kissing you, hoping that each kiss took away the pain he had caused, but the more he did the more you cried. He had hurt you too much that even the kisses couldn't heal you.

Jungkook moved his head away from your chest and fully grabbed you. He hugged you tightly, just letting you cry your pain out to him. He didn't know what to say, all he could really do was comfort you. Jungkook placed one of his hands on your nape, while the other did long comforting strokes on your back. You heard Jungkook trying to shush you, not in a mean way, but to relax you, but it didn't work.

What felt like hours were only minutes, you had finally calmed down. You pulled away from Jungkook. You spotted a big wet mark on his shirt. You apologized profusely for making his shirt dirty. Jungkook only laughed; he didn't care that your snot and tears - possibly your saliva were on his shirt, hell, he wouldn't care if you even threw up on him. All that he cared about right now was how you were feeling.

You were about to wipe your face on your arm, but you didn't have a shirt on. "I'm sorry, I look horrible right now." Jungkook shook his head at your words. "You don't have to be sorry. You don't look horrible right now. To me, you look beautifully messy." You blushed at his compliment. "Yeah, but I still have snot and tears all over my face."

Jungkook sarcastically rolled his eyes. He jumped off of the bed and stood in front of you. He bundled his shirt up to his chest and carefully pulled you towards him. You were confused at first, but then you realized he was going to wipe your face with his shirt - like a mother. When he did, Jungkook shrugged, "It's already dirty, so, don't worry about it. Plus, nothing like a few more bodily fluids, right?" You felt like laughing at his rhetorical question, but all you could feel was the guilt for ruining your boyfriend's shirt.

Jungkook chucked his dirty shirt on the messy floor and climbed into bed with you. He hesitated on pulling you close to him; he didn't want to push any boundaries you might have set on him. "Is it okay if I hold you?" Instead of answering his question, you pulled him towards you. You buried your face in his chest. You wanted Jungkook to hold but he wasn't. You murmured against his skin, "Why aren't you holding me?"

"I didn't know if I was supposed to." You wrapped your arms around your boyfriend's build. "Well, I want you to hold me." And like so, Jungkook held you close. He buried his face in your hair, breathing in your intoxicating scent. If Jungkook were to die right now, he would die a happy man; being in your arms, breathing you in is all he could ever ask for.

Before speaking Jungkook licked his lips, "____, I want to tell - shit! Babe, ow!" You had kicked Jungkook to further stop his sentence. "Like I said before, if you're going to keep apologizing then please leave. Because honestly, babe, I'm really tired of hearing you say that." Jungkook chuckled at your annoyance. "I wasn't going to apologize if that makes you happy. I was going to say how regretful I am to accuse you of cheating. How regretful I am of gripping you hard on the wrist. Cursing and yelling at you. I regret everything that happened last night."

You held Jungkook tighter to you. In situations similar to this, Jungkook was always the one comforting you; you were the stubborn one in the relationship. It was kind of hard being on the opposite side. You tried your best of comforting Jungkook, but you couldn't really do it physically, that spectrum resides for Jungkook.

So, you did what you do best, you comforted him verbally. "I know I can't ask you to feel a certain way, but know this, Jungkook," You lifted your head up to him, and expressed, "Everything that happened last night could never erase my four years of love for you. What you did to me definitely hurt me, but you cannot shoulder all of this guilt. I also was at fault."

Jungkook pulled away slightly. He couldn't believe what he heard. He denied, "No! You did nothing wrong." You furrowed your brows. "But I did, Jungkook! If I hadn't kept this a secret... if I had just told you my reason for being out so long, we wouldn't be in this predicament. I should have told you, and for that, I'm sorry." Jungkook wanted to argue your statement, but the look on your face was pleading with him to forgive you.

Jungkook shimmied his way down to you, eyes meeting at the same level. He pushed some of your hair away from your face, tucking them behind your ear. Your beauty was something to treasure. Jungkook smiled, "You're so beautiful, baby. If you want me to forgive you, I need you to forgive me as well."

You lifted your pointer finger up when an idea came to mind. "One last request," Jungkook smirked, wondering what trick you have up your sleeve. You continued on, "Kiss me on the lips and I'll forgive you."

You didn't have to tell him twice. Jungkook smashed his lips on yours, taking you all in. He cupped your jaw in between his hands, holding you tightly. Your small moans drowning in your lover's mouth. Your wondering hands feel the toned muscles beneath your fingertips. Somewhere along the way, you climbed on top of Jungkook. The slight grinding you were doing on his lap made him jolt. He softly gripped your arms and pushed you away.

"Baby, I think we should stop, because if we continue this, I don't think I'll have the urge to control my craving." You jumped on his lap, taunting him. Jungkook wasn't having it, so, he switched your positions; you were laying underneath him, while he trapped you between his arms. "Didn't I say you should stop?" he growled.

All you did was grin like a kid who won a stuffed animal at a carnival. You wrapped your arms around Jungkook's - somewhat sweaty neck. God only knows how much you love this man. If a home was a person, he would be yours. You proclaimed, "I love you so much, Jungkook." Jungkook saw the love swirling in your irises; his heart swarmed with adoration for you. As a response, he said, "I love you, ___. I could never love anybody as much as I love you."

You guys kissed one more time before going back to cuddling. In the middle of basking in each other's presence, you blurted, "Oh god, we have to buy the tickets today. Not only that, but we also hav-" Jungkook placed his rough hand on top of your mouth. “Shhh... It's cuddle time, babe." You pushed his hand away and giggled. You wished there was a word more than love, maybe devotion, but you really love Jungkook.

Hi honey! I dropped everything to read this, losing the boss fight in my game was so worth it!

I thought since I already gave my thoughts on Sam and her personality in my last ask, I'd try something different for this part and just let you know all my thoughts and what I loved the most.

But first regarding what you said to my "analysis": Omg grumpy old man! Thats it! Everyone else can go home, you found the only correct description for Sam.

I ADORE lovely idiots!! They're my favorite people. If that R is basically you then no wonder you're so likable. I'm sure that in the future you will create more amazing Rs but this one will stay my favorite. She's everything, all the others are just Ken (jk I just love her)

Awww I feel sorry for Sam. Poor girl really likes R but she just feels like she isn't enough and doesn't deserve to be happy. Her natural reaction to everything is becoming defensive and snappy, anything to make the other person leave. Confrontation, when it comes to Sam's thoughts and feelings, is something that she can't really handle or know how to deal with because her insecurities are too strong to ignore. She can't let herself be completely vulnerable, no matter how much she wants to. Her fears of getting hurt again from misplacing her trust and hurting R in the process of being with her, will always affect Sam and keep her from fully committing to R. BUT since we know that R is basically the perfect girlfriend, she will always support Sam and reassure her as much as she needs to. With enough patience and time Sam will finally be in a happy relationship. Sam cam deny it as much as she wants but she's a total sucker for R. I know for a cact that she adores Rs humor and funny personality. She would be married and wearing a shirt with "I love my wife R" and yet she would still say that she hates R and that she annoys her. Love that grumpy old Boomer man so much.

A consensual kidnapping 😭 I know this is a Sam fic and I would never betray my girl like this but I LOVE R so very much.

Honestly it's true love when you can banter in a dingy bathroom and be sassy with each other. The banter in this fic is top notch. I laugh at everything R is saying.

OMFG THE VEINY HANDS!!! GIRL I AM OBSESSED WITH SAMS HANDA AND HER MUSCULAR ARMS. Good to know I'm not the only one. R really is SO relatable.

Damn. A jealous Sam is HOT and desperate. And come on Sam, as if you didn't imagine your future with R the first time you saw her!!

Whoomp there it is. Sam's insecurities of not being good enough because of her past. But finally she let it all out and told R everything. That proves that she really does like R very much because telling her everything takes a lot of trust. Bantering with R and maybe being friends is one thing, for that you don't necessarily need to know Sam's past but when it comes to a new relationship, then it's important that 1) Sam can fully trust R with everything, most importantly her heat and 2) that R knows Sam's past, insecurities and fears. Only then Sam can be sure that R is genuinely interested in her no matter what. (I can't quite put into words what I want to say here, languages are hard but I hope you understand the gist of what I'm trying to say)

Aaahh not the fic title being in the last sentence!!! I love small details like this.

First, this R is and will always be my favorite. She's a sweet and hilarious menace. I want her. She's amazing.

Second, this fic in general is definitely in my top 3 of yours, if not taking over my number one stop. It's just so damn perfect and accurate when it comes to Sam's whole character.

Last but not least, I found another hot edit of Sam that shows how beefy she got between Scream 5 and 6. Here it is for you as a treat.

Anyways, to my response:

“She’s everything, all the others are just Ken” I love this so much! No Hard Feelings R is definitely my favorite, just because of the playful banter between her and Sam, and it saddens me that we will not see more of their banter.

I try my best to make Sam more of a pity case and I hope I didn’t over do it in this chapter. I wanted to showcase her insecurities that led her to believe she doesn’t deserve any kind of happiness in life, and I’m so happy with your analysis of it. Everything you highlighted is perfectly worded and you somehow managed to pick up on all of the littlest of details, as if you were picking around in Sam’s brain.

The dingy bathroom was a metaphor to their lives! They are still able to love each other despite being in not ideal situations, like having to run from Ghostface on occasion.

Sam caving into her desires and finally telling R about everything took me a solid three days to write. I couldn’t find the correct way I wanted it to, so I wrote out that scene at 3:30am THIS MORNING!!

Now that R knows about Sam’s past and accepts Sam for who she is, only then Sam will allow herself to love R, which is exactly what you said!

R is an ankle biter and I will not elaborate on it 😭

I really thought that Gilbert was going to find out more about Violet's past. second Benedict said that he had found clues about his younger sister, but the subject is not mentioned again, we know that he has been saving to make another trip to find her

We should petition for Akatsuki Kana to write more, lol. Jk but I'd love if VE came back one day to explain all the shit that was never revealed or confirmed.

I am one of those people who first saw the anime and then read the novel, obviously I prefer the novel, without reading the novel, I realized that characters like Erika and Iris are empty, especially Erika who we only know that she wants to be a writer and iris i hate her

I like that “obviously” a lot. XD

Sorry it doesn't let me write much but it continued. Erika is a character who happens in limbo, she has nothing interesting and she has no chemistry with anyone. pffff Erika×benedicto seems like a joke, Cat, well at first it gave me a good impression, well you know I saw the anime first, but I prefer the Novela, even so it is the only one of the group of ch that I like as a friend of Violeta, or older sister, since they do have chemistry, I'm not satisfied with Cat anime, but I like it

I agree with the take on Cattleya as well. She's the only canon character whose anime counterpart didn't bother me that much. But yes, she's a thousand times more interesting in the novel. I think I didn't mind her because they changed her appearance so much along with her personality that it felt like I was looking at an entirely different character, just with the same name.

I hate that they removed the gay part from the anime, but she is the only one in the anime who can be considered Violet's best friend, because they have a lot of chemistry. the only character that was created by the Anime that I like is Luculia, because unlike Erika and Iris (you don't know how much I hate iris) she is the only one who is interested in Violeta and wants to help her in a certain way, maybe they are not the best friends but they look good

Lux will always be the bestie and without her, there's no bestie at all! And yeah, I like Luculia too. I like all the characters from the Doll school, tbh. They were nice.

You don't know how much I hate Iris, it's something that has stayed with me since the 2nd chapter, she's a capricious girl and her reason for being a doll doesn't make sense, she doesn't seem to have talent either, in her story they want to make her look like someone who breaks stereotypes with him typical "there is more to life than marrying a man" and wearing pants

Not much makes sense in the anime, tbh. And actually, Iris did want to marry a guy, lol. Btw, her pants were a design choice in order to make the characters have different styles from each other, according to Takase Akiko. In the last movie, she's wearing a skirt.

without realizing Violet (more in the novel than anime of course) does not break, like breaking a pencil, if she does not put a bomb on the word stereotype and she is not a woman, she is a WOMAN (in the novel it is clearer why is more independent than in the anime, since in the novel he destroys even the universe) successful, hard-working, strong (strong if he falters if we talk about anime) and capable of anything for the love of his life (in this part I prefer put Gil novel)

Well, I've gotten off the topic of my hatred of Iris, she's an empty character, her actions have no motive or reason, they should have placed her in another section as a portfolio if she wants to break stereotypes so much, they should never have placed her as "Violet's best friend" that no one eats it

Writing up to this point I realize two things: first, my hatred of Iris is more than enormous XD, second, violet anime does not have many "friends" and is much more lonely which makes me sad, because almost nobody really knows her

Yeah. That’s one of the things that gets me (in a bad sense) about the anime. It’s so unnecessarily lonely. So depressing. So bleak. Hardly anybody actually seems to have a deep connection with anyone, and when they do, it’s always the canon characters. The anime originals waltz in, do a few things, say some bullshit that supposedly is very deep, and boom, everything is solved. It’s so empty and so lackluster.

Violet anime does not have a solid relationship in the anime, rather she is alone, Gilbert anime, better not mention it because it would never end, Hog is an attempt at father, although in the end it is only if the boss who helped her and that's it, Erika and Iris are just coworkers, Cat is the only one who really cares about Violeta and supports her maybe not as much as the one in the novel, but she gives us a feeling of mother and daughter

I gotta disagree with that one. Even Cattleya was set aside in the movie. She was barely there and didn’t seem to miss Violet at all.

Benedicto is just a co-worker, Luculia will be like that friend you see from time to time, the real friend is Amy and it's sad that they can't see each other, that's why I don't think it's strange that Violet doesn't miss her classmates, when he leaves with PunkHoel Gil

in conclusion, violet anime does not have many friends, she is more lonely and does not have much chemistry with the other characters as it should be, in violet novel, she has a better relationship with the characters and I can feel that she is not alone and more with Gil novel violet novel can return home and feel a family a boyfriend and is safer, violet anime, returns home and only finds her co-workers

Has anyone tried using some of the most outspoken (bigoted) people for good? Getting them to send their hateful army to fix something that's actually broken?

I mean the big issue is that these people are clearly, just like everyone else on the planet, not immune to propaganda, and they've got very strong beliefs. A little misdirection could go a long way, and maybe twist them up enough to get them on a different track.

JK Rowling, very anti trans people, but believes she's protecting women. Why not try and bring her attention more to some of the many problems with the NHS (and many other hospital systems) in regards to women's health, especially when it comes to PCOS or endometriosis. Word it as protecting "real women" (gag) and play the game, use her own words for it.

The people who are very anti government/"socialism" (or their own definition of it)? Maybe a few pushes in the right direction could get them to look at the various US government regulations about the internet, heavily implying that the government is trying to tell them what they can do online.

Government watching you? I mean yeah maybe you've got nothing to hide, but what if they decide to make something important to you illegal? Like if there really is a war on (let's say Christianity, since I've seen this argument before) do you want the government and the companies to have all this information on you? How do you know that they can be trusted? Like maybe they'll just use it to get rid of the people you don't like... but what if the other side gets a hold of it? They could use it against you.

Not teaching sex ed to kids in school? Well maybe it's people not wanting kids to know what's inappropriate so that kids are easier to take advantage of. Also "not teaching them the difference between boys and girls" (again, ew, but I mean if they're gonna be focused on sex characteristics and the biology, at least let's try and use it to teach the kids how to do a self-check for testicular/breast cancer, what a period is, and other important skills)

Essential oil companies not having to have the same kinds of info on their products as drug companies? Not having to be checked or tested? How do we know that it doesn't have other chemicals in it? That it isn't just a scam that says it's ___ oil but it's actually just an oil with artificial scents or whatever because that's cheaper to make.

Lack of regulation/testing on pesticides or fertilizers? How do we know it's not getting into the non-gmo/organic/ect crops? Shouldn't they have to make sure it's not gonna cause problems?

Everything relying on plastics and oil? What if it's because the people in charge want that to be the only option, so they can make you pay a lot of money for gas and plastic that breaks? What if they don't want other alternatives because that means they can take your hard-earned money for cheap junk that's just gonna break anyway.

Christianity in public schools? Well not every church is in 100% agreement about things, and there's a billion subsections of christianity. If religion is only at home and at church then you know exactly what kind of stuff your kid is learning about religion. Maybe public schools shouldn't have religion in them, so the parents can teach their kids religion at home.

I mean there are so many ways to frame different problems, that's one of the reasons we see so many different opinions and polarization on so many topics. I mean pointing out that these people are wrong doesn't seem to work, so why not try and instead distract them with a different problem, one that them fixing might actually do some good.

#idk I just think we need to come at some of this stuff from a slightly different angle #because going head to head isn't fucking working #everyone digs in their heels and nothing actually gets done

Jungkook had been calling you nonstop since last, last week, unfortunately there wasn't any response from you.

It wasn't like there was an emergency. Your best friend just missed you so much that he felt like he couldn't breathe.

"Jungkook! You need to wear this blue tie!" Especially now that Soojin was always by his side.

He was the type of person who needed a lot of time and space alone because he was a shy and soft boy at heart. However he had limits too. Jungkook got cranky when he was being forced to do things he didn't like.

"I bought this for you. Just wear it already!" Soojin pulled Jungkook's sleeve, forcing him to wear the blue tie to match her blue gown.

Jungkook groaned, crossing his arms. He was really, really starting to get annoyed.

He hated ties, be it a bowtie, bolo tie, or skinny necktie. It didn't matter what kind because he fucking hated all of them.

He felt like he was being strangled, restricted—like he had no freedom to do what he wanted.

Ties were suffocating.

Soojin was suffocating.

Jungkook suddenly regretted agreeing to be her date for tonight. He didn't realize that Soojin would be so...concerned about what they would look like on the red carpet.

Castle Architectural Firm was throwing a party to celebrate the construction of the luxury spa, mainly because this was the biggest project of the company for this year.

Aside from this, Taemin wanted to invite prospective clients, shareholders, and some architects who were interested to work for him. He was basically hitting two birds with one stone.

Three birds actually. This party was also for the employees, a simple way to show them that the company appreciated their efforts to help the firm grow.

You were invited too, and the first thing that came into your mind was to ask Jungkook to be your date. It had always been like that between the two of you, sadly you received a text message from your sister.

[7:52pm] Kim Soojin: you gonna attend the company's party?

[7:52pm] you: yeah i guess so..

[7:55pm] Kim Soojin: well don't tell that to JK. he might ask you to be his date. that CANT happen coz i wanna go with him.

If you were the type of sister who couldn't say no to Soojin, Min Yoongi, on the other hand, was the type of friend who couldn't say no to you.

"You know it's your fault I'm not getting dicked down tonight, right?" Yoongi sounded annoyed, but you knew deep down he was pleased that you chose him to be your plus one tonight.

Okay, fine—this was a lie.

Yoongi wasn't exactly thrilled when you told him to prepare his three piece suit since you wanted him to pick you up four hours ago.

Because of you, he had to cancel his first date with some grindr dude he had been gushing over since last week.

The last thing you needed was for people to remind you that you fucked up, that you failed because you were not as smart or as strong as Soojin.

Yoongi felt like his heart was being cracked open because of your confession. It wasn't your intention to hurt him—you swore you weren't manipulating him through using your greatest fear.

It just so happened that Yoongi knew exactly how you felt. He understood it because he used to be like you.

He used to be scared with the thought of being surrounded by people and realizing that he was still alone.

Because those people didn't come to see him or to be with him.

They were there for someone else.

As it turned out, Yoongi was at this party for someone else too.

It wasn't intentional. You guessed the world where you lived was simply small.

'V' was the name of Yoongi's grindr date. Tonight you found out that Kim Taehyung, your older brother, was also known as V.

You weren't really close with Taehyung, mainly because it had only been less than three months since you met him. As mentioned, he spent his whole life abroad.

Taehyung didn't even know you existed until five years ago. Sin-ae didn't want anyone to know that her husband cheated on her and so she told Taemin that you could only live with them under the condition that you would keep your mouth shut about your real relationship with the Kims.

But in the end, your siblings found out. Taehyung was the last one to know because according to Sin-ae, her third born son was sensitive. She didn't want him to worry about someone like you.

You weren't a threat. In the eyes of the public, you were just an orphan—one of the charity cases of the Kims.

Everyone in their family treated you like you didn't exist. Namjoon and Seokjin barely looked at you.

They even leave the room if you were around.

But Soojin wasn't like her siblings. She treated you like her sister. She talked to you, ate with you, and sometimes played dolls with you.

She wasn't always nice, but it felt good to be acknowledged, to be called as her sister—to make you feel like you belonged to their family.

You wanted Taehyung to treat you the same way Soojin treated you. Perhaps he could like you if you proved to him that you could be trusted.

Taehyung hadn't told his family that he was gay. This was the main reason why he stayed in New York for so long. He was afraid to be himself because he knew that his family wasn't gonna approve with this.

They wanted him to find a beautiful wife and to manage their other businesses. The Kims didn't only focus on architecture. Their family also tried their luck in industries like engineering and painting. As a matter of fact, Sin-ae recently opened her own museum. Taehyung was currently working there as a curator.

He would probably be focusing on that museum because his other siblings were taking different paths. Soojin was the sole heir of Castle Architectural Firm. Seokjin and Namjoon waived their rights as heirs in the mentioned company since Taemin already funded their engineering firms.

"You sure you're gonna be fine here?" Yoongi asked, hesitant to leave you alone while he spent time with your brother.

"Of course. Go, Yoongi. You've done enough," assured by you.

The party was almost over anyway. You were sure no one was going to bother you anymore. You had also done your part as an employee. You attended, ate, and drank wine.

Maybe it was best to go home. It was getting late and you felt cold. You didn't bring a shawl.

You trembled, thinking that it was because of the cold. Little did you know, Jungkook's dark gaze was sending shivers down your spine.

Of course he saw you. He had been watching you ever since you stepped inside this ballroom.

He was a little upset with you actually. How could you stand there looking so beautiful without even glancing at him?

Did you forget about him? Didn't you want to be his best friend anymore? Why didn't you reply to his text messages? Why did you bring Yoongi? And why were you letting Yoongi leave you alone?

It was like something in Jungkook snapped. The little voice inside his head was right. He should be the one to take you home tonight. He wouldn't allow you to drive because he saw you drinking wine. Jungkook was about to go near you, but Soojin caught his arm.

"Jungkook, I'm cold..." Soojin embraced herself, lips trembling.

"Oh. Here," he didn't hesitate to give her his jacket. Jungkook was sweet and caring. He would always give what he could.

"Thanks..." Soojin blushed, batting her eyelashes at him. "Can you take me home now? I'm tired..."

It was wrong to say that he never hesitated because right now, he was. He wanted to drive Soojin home, but...

Jungkook turned to look at the place where you were standing a few breaths ago. You weren't there anymore. He missed the way you stared at him as he handed his jacket to Soojin.

He couldn't miss anything from you anymore, so even if it physically hurt him to lie, he bit his tongue hard and then he told Soojin that he couldn't bring her back to the mansion.

"Why not? I'm your date, Jungkook!" Soojin's demeanor instantly changed.

She was no longer batting her eyelashes. She was glaring at Jungkook, too annoyed to say more.

"I know...but I promised to drink with Mr. Wang tonight. You know how much your father wants him to invest in Castle..." More lies.

It worked. Soojin couldn't protest. He was right. Mr. Wang was an important person and Jungkook couldn't turn him down. It was so hard to convince that old man to attend this party. This was probably the only chance Jungkook had to convince Mr. Wang to become an investor.

"Fine. But I want you to escort me to my car. I still need to tell you something." She didn't wait for his response, already walking away.

Jungkook sighed as he followed her, but not before looking back to where you were.

It didn't change the fact that you were gone.

"What did you want to talk about?" Jungkook arched his brow after handing the ticket to the valet worker.

Soojin inhaled deeply, suddenly regretting her decision to do this sober. She should have at least drank wine to calm her poor nerves.

But she wanted to be strong. She didn't want Jungkook to think that she was pouring her heart out just because she was drunk.

She wanted to do this right.

So heaving a deep sigh once again, Soojin stared at his face.

"I like you, Jungkook..."

She tried.

She really did try to be as genuine as possible. Her voice was soft, yet strong. She had been practicing saying these words for so long.

It should feel good, right?

But...why was her stomach turning upside down? Why was Jungkook's expression so thoughtful? Too fucking thoughtful that she could feel his rejection in her mouth.

No. This couldn't be right. Maybe he misunderstood?

"I-I mean it...I like you. I like you so much and it's not in a friendly or brotherly way. I like you as a man, JK..."

It didn't make anything better. Jungkook's eyes were still dead. He was still looking at her the way he looked at everyone—the same boy who was respectful, sweet, but determined.

"Soojin..." Jungkook licked his lower lip and then he bit it. Heartbreak was written all over his face.

Soojin could feel it.

She could feel her heart breaking into a thousand pieces.

"I don't like you like—"

"Just think about it!" Soojin cut him off before he could finish his response.

"But I...." Jungkook tried to say something again, however he trailed off.

His face softened. Soojin was looking at him using those desperate eyes. Besides, it wasn't like he could freely speak his mind.

Soojin cut him off again before he could say more.

"Monday." Her jaw tensed. "You have until Monday to decide. I'm giving you this weekend to think, huh, JK? Please..."

"Okay." Jungkook agreed because he didn't know what else to say.

It was a good thing that the valet worker arrived, saving them from the awkward atmosphere.

The uncomfortable air didn't deter Jungkook from examining Soojin's car, looking for any damage. He didn't like Soojin the way she wanted to, but it didn't mean that he wanted her to get into an accident or something.

"You didn't drink, right? Call me when you get home, okay?"

Soojin nodded.

"Thanks, JK. See you soon..." She kissed him on the cheek before getting into her car and driving away.

When he couldn’t spot her car anymore, Jungkook finally let out a sigh.

"Excuse me? Where do guests wait while waiting for their ride?" Jungkook asked the same valet worker. The latter was happy to assist, telling him that guests who didn't bring their cars were waiting for a cab or uber at the second entrance.

Jungkook rushed towards that direction, hoping to see you.

He saw you.

He saw you standing there, still shivering because of the freezing wind.

Jungkook frowned. You were wearing an open-back gown, exposing your skin generously. There was no doubt that he loved you in this dress (you looked ravishing) but then he didn't like that you were trembling.

And so he hugged you from behind.

You yelped, struggling to get away from him.

"Ow!" Jungkook shrieked when you managed to kick his leg. "Calm down, tiger. It's just me. Damn!"

You immediately stopped moving when you heard your best friend's voice. Three seconds later, you were pushing him away again.

You succeeded since he didn't expect you to struggle once more.

"Jungkook. What the hell? It's not cool to scare me like that!" You were still shivering but this time it wasn't because you were cold.

Your heart was beating erratically because of fear. Jungkook really scared the shit out of you.

"Sorry. I just noticed you're cold and I didn't want you to get sick..."

"I won't get sick because I'll die of a heart attack. Seriously, Kook. Don't sneak up on me like that again!"

Jungkook pouted. This boy really pouted his lips, sulking!

He knew he was wrong, this was why he was acting all cute. He even attempted to embrace you again just to prove how sorry he was.

You put a hand on his chest though, stopping him.

"I'm fine. Promise..."

It didn't reassure him. His lips just protruded more.

"The hug isn't for you. It's for me," he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer. "I miss you, tiger..."

Your heart melted because of the softness and sadness apparent in his voice. Tears welled up in your eyes.

"Miss you too, bud..." You tapped his back, an attempt to comfort him.

Jungkook only groaned. He acted more like a baby when you make him feel as if it was right for him to act the way he was acting now.

"You're lying. Why didn't you answer my texts and calls if you really missed me?"

It was easier to lie when you weren't looking at his eyes. Jungkook knew this so he broke the embrace, staring at you.

You refused to meet his gaze.

"I'm busy with work, Kook."

You expected him to understand, regrettably he only hissed, rolling his eyes.

"Yeah right. I visited you in the office. Fran said you're out with your friends." Jungkook sounded bitter. It wasn't like he hated that you're spending time with other people but not with him.

He wasn't asking much. He just wanted you to tell him you're okay, or that he didn't do anything wrong. He wanted your assurance because frankly, this was the first time you spent two weeks without talking to him.

What did he even do to deserve this?

"Y-You visited the office?" Was all you could say. You didn't know that. You thought he was busy at the construction site. Soojin too. Both of them hadn't been back in the office ever since the construction began.

Your sister even told you that she and Jungkook were staying at a hotel near the site. They couldn't go home since they were busy reviewing the progress of their project.

"Don't be surprised. You know I can't go a day without seeing you."

If he's trying to melt your heart, you wanted to congratulate him because he succeeded.

"It's why I'm here right now, you know?"

You didn't. "I didn't...." You said.

He scoffed.

"Because I want to see you, dumbass." He ruffled your hair. "Come on. I'll drive you home."

You didn't move.

"I'm waiting for my uber, Kook..." It was too late to cancel now. It took you long to book this ride since no driver wanted to go to this place. The security was at a high level. It was a pain in the ass to get past the gate.

"Besides, aren't you supposed to be with Soojin?” You panicked for a second. “Who's bringing her home?"

Shit. You forgot that you weren't allowed to talk to him. Your sister would be pissed!

"Soojin already left. I told her I can't drive her since I have to meet a very important person..." He was staring into your soul.

"Mr. Wang?" You asked only because you saw him talking to the old man a while ago.

"Nah," he grinned. "It's you..."

"Oh." You weren't sure what to say.

He ditched Soojin because he wanted to see you. It was cool. Awesome. Heartwarming even. But what were you supposed to say? Thank you? Fuck you?

Fuck you because Soojin would definitely hate me once she found out that I was meeting you behind her back?

You hadn't had the chance to think of how to respond when Jungkook spoke again.

"Soojin confessed to me tonight..."

There was a lump in your throat, still you managed to say "nice. What did you tell her?"

It was difficult to act happy when your heart was breaking. Fuck. Why were you feeling this way? It wasn't like you didn't know that this was happening.

"Nothing much." He chuckled.

He fucking chuckled like he was fucking happy.

You hated it.

You hated it because you didn't have the right to feel the way you did.

You wanted the ugly, green monster to leave you alone.

"She didn't really give me a chance to speak." He shrugged. "She only told me to think about it. I have an ultimatum though..." He laughed again and it irked you more.

"I have until Monday to decide..."

He stopped speaking after that. You didn't say anything for a while too.

You let silence engulf you.

Seconds later, you found the courage to speak.

"Do it." You said bravely.

Jungkook creased his forehead, silently asking you to do what?

"Date her." You swallowed thickly, avoiding the pain dancing in his eyes.

"You should date her, Kook. She's nice, pretty, s-smart..." She was whole too. She could love you, she could fill the hole in your heart.

I couldn't.

Because I was broken.

"What?" The laugh he let out wasn't like the other ones. He sounded sad, like he couldn't believe what he was hearing, like it was breaking him.

"You want me to date your sister?" He repeated, making sure that he heard you right.

It was hard to nod your head and smile.

"Yes." But you did anyway.

Silence welcomed you two once again.

The wind blew harshly. It became unbelievably cold. The defeating silence didn't help.

You wanted to curl up and die.

"Will it make you happy?"

You turned to look at him. To really look at him.

You didn't know what he was talking about. He could see it in your face. He knew you were confused.

"If I date your sister—" He spoke again. "Will that make you happy?"

You couldn't hesitate. Not now. Not when Soojin needed your support the most.

So you said what you didn't want to say.

"Yes..." And then your heart cracked.

Just read chap 11. Saint you've got some mad skills. The way you worded and paced this chapter... Giving details for every small thing, kept us in the loop, I am surprised to manage to fit it in 10K words. Applauds must not stop for this

Also, I don't know about others but seeing Gojou struggle and desperate for yn's affection and warmth gave me a sense of justice(?) Like he is finally reaping what he sowed and I know it affects yn but life's not fairytales and unicorns. I wish yn's circumstances were different but it makes me happy and proud that our female lead is putting herself first at every point. I love the mental debate in her head everytime she faces Satoru even though it can be fucking exhausting. I tend to prefer a more rational and level headed protagonist, like Navier (OUH THE RESEMBLANCE IS UNCANNY NOW) so I'm crying proud tears for our selfless but (now) slightly selfish yn.

Also, a sneak peak into Toji's POV made me realise that it is best they share an only platonic relationship. The advice of getting under another man to forget one doesn't really help here and yn needs to live a hermit life to balance out all this chaos in her life. I do wish if you could have a spin off drabble where Toji and yn ends together but only if you're comfortable. I'm a Toji simp since Sn so I can't accept the chemistry between Toji and yn go unexplored.

ALSO NAOYA SAYING HE IS READY TO DO THE DIRTY WORK?!?! I don't know if I can handle more plot twists. Our GojouxYN ship never had a smooth sail and it seems like it has to end up sinking. 4 chaps to go and we have so much turbulence left to brace for. I don't know if I love or hate that fact.

Naoya— I had some suspiscions when I looked at the theories about the plot twist. I knew the Naoya X Stepmom idea would really make me say "Wtf!?". Hah I must admit I forgot about Mei's love for money for a bit there hahah

Welp now I can tell why you couldn't express your agreement on my previous ask about Gojo's dad 😅 He does give off that selfish vibe that even if he adores his side pieces he'll only favor those of his own blood, although discreetly/twisted.

I'm honestly nervous that the two (Toji x Y/N) are starting to think about each other, although their thoughts are still on the platonic side, I can't help but feel that Gojo's chances of getting Y/N back is already at the critical level of 10%.

I know he's sincere with everything now but I can't blame Y/N for not believing his actions at all. Heck I would've started not believing every affection he's shown the moment he declared that I will never be in his heart 🤷🏻‍♀️ Hopefully he'll get through the "veil" she has started to build around her to keep him away 👀

Ohohoh it's evident that she isn't pregnant ( I eat lies for breakfast JK 🤣) but in case she is when Ieiri checked it's probably someone else's, maybe Naoya has something to do with it. He did say he wanted to meet her and to leave the dirty work to him. He seems like he's gonna help Toji get Y/N 🤔 Like she's gon be beneficial for their group, too, yk. But oh well, too late, Y/N saw the scenes at the hospital already and has assumed the worst, oh man, and to think he's been annoyingly sweet throughout this chapter 😅

Also, I wanna trust Ieiri honestly but if she ever reveals that misstres is indeed preggo I have a feeling she's threatened by the fact that mistress might potentially harm Y/N knowing her heart condition but again I hope she's a wise and strong as I see her.

I'm honestly glad like 🥲🤧 that he said those things to Sera, that's a HUGE step hun. But now I feel bad because there's a lot of misunderstandings in their relationship then add to the mix that the mistress lied to baby trap Gojo and Y/N seeing all that and running away without confirming anything 😢

but ever since you mentioned that getou owns a lot of nightclubs i’ve been thinking: imagine all the shady business he could be getting up to. and the even more i think about it, suguru really does seems like he could be such a shady person under his cool facade. not that he’s a bad guy or anything but he could definitely be up to some illegal stuff without anyone knowing or suspecting a thing. i imagine that he owns some pretty high end popular clubs in the city and makes deals with gangs and crime syndicates to let them use it as a negotiation point or hang out space in exchange for information on certain people and the plans or movements of other business and upperclassman that he’ll need to be wary of (getou 🤝 naoya and their gossip king skills) i also imagine that this is where sukuna fits in; hes an important member of a pretty big crime organization—the underboss and he’s become somewhat of a friend / partner of suguru (ayo spin off writers 👀) they met because sukuna is trying to secretly overthrow the current head of the crime organization hes apart of and form his own gang. he comes to the nightclubs pretending as if he’s just observing rivals to get anything off of them to report back to his boss but in reality he’s trying to recruit and get other members to defect. suguru could have seen it from the start what sukuna’s true intentions were and made a deal with him, telling him that he won’t out his secret and will help him too with funds and information of his own if he’d take on a job to ‘take care of’ a new nightclub owner rival of his, one that was rapidly growing and becoming more successful than him—normally this wouldn’t be something that getou would particularly make a big fuss over but if you throw in a fiancé!y/n into the mix and a threat against her life because his rival is a ‘too cocky arrogant fuck that sends him anonymous threats even though suguru knows it’s from him’ as well as the fact that y/n’s mother—the ceo of a popular magazine company is having an affair with her husband’s rival who happens to be the head of sukuna’s crime syndicate—the very one he’s trying to kill, posing as a businessman to hide his true occupation. suguru promises that he can get y/n to get as much dirt and secrets as she can for him if he can do the job. (bonus is that sukuna ends up having a soft spot for y/n and develops feelings but it’s unrequited because she’s in love and is ready to marry suguru.)

Anw I had the same exact thought about Naoya's description of her being "not passionate about her old work" just right before you narrated it. I'm proud of my BSc in Management my education didn't fail me. If I were her I'd just secretly plot with someone from the legal team and change the death will and you know... work around that area (however you want to interpet this). Or plot with other major shareholders. Or if all of the shares belong to the family (which usually isn't the case bcs the financial risk is too high) I'll push the company for IPO instead and well... plot.

This is why we don't marry people just because of their looks *sigh* bright mind can take your empire far but sexy body won't (it was an advice given by my prof to the male students when we talked about Korea chaebol and Japan zaibatsu keiretsu).

first off, what the fuck naoya????? i am still reeling from that revelation. i was still slightly sleepy while reading the chapter but shit, that part woke me tf up. i’m shocked but not surprised 🥴 def in character for the stepmom to do that. i love tho how naoya pretty much confirmed that gojo’s dad would still prefer to hand the company over to someone of his own bloodline, wc means that that snake’s plans still won’t work either way. on another note, i don’t like the way naoya left toji’s office… man’s planning smth and i’m scared.

In regards to the Zenin. Naoya, my dude, what the actual fuck?!? Even if I cannot quite point out what my feelings about him are, much less what I think about his affair with Satoru’s stepmom 💀, I would gladly let him know that he doesn’t need to get out of his way to stop the companies from merging (at this point my poor Y/N has endured so much that I cannot phantom the idea of her at least! Not bringing up a divorce). And even if I doubt he has any intention of helping us (that good looking bastard), I was crackling when I read his and Toji’s last interaction.

Sera is LYING through her teeth. You can absolutely tell from the reactions and the panic that settles when Gojo says he needs a test for proof. I’m just afraid of what she could have possibly done in the 6 days until she was “free”.

Also, the way I smirked at how juicy it was to find that Naoya and Gojo’s step mother are having an affair. So THATS why the two appeared one after the other during the auction. Oh Saint, you’re so spicy and so dramatic I love it.

Sometimes I try to read so deep bc I know you don’t write anything without reason that I’m creating scenarios out of absolutely nothing and other times, I miss some blatantly obvious hint you provided! Always keeping us on our toes!

I had a feeling Gojo chose to follow after Sera to come clean about his feelings. Now that the tables have turned, I am unfortunately very sympathetic for him. But only because I know his intentions are good but I can foresee things going even more downhill for him.

One thing I do trust is for reader to still continue the merger. I feel like something will happen. Like a glimmer of hope. Reader is only doing this bc she doesn’t believe Gojo is genuine. Because he’s broken her trust. They are on absolute different wavelengths and the timing is so poor. But if Gojo is ever able to shy away his pride for even a minute and finally bear his true feelings, I think reader would latch onto that hope.

So I guess even if I’m sympathetic, beat Gojo down. Cause more drama he can’t handle so he can finally bare his bones and be his true self to his wife.

Chapter 11 was shocking… the tea was spilled. I have been thinking about this for a while, but Sera truly lacks self awareness on how big the consequences are if she stays with Gojo and could possible be pregnant. Like if she just stops thinking for one second about her relationship and focus on the bigger picture. The business relationship between the Gojo gorup and Creston would be strained and the chances of Satoru becoming CEO would be slim and/or Satori wont be CEO at all due to the affair,Satoru dad would probably make Satoru step down, the merger wont go through, Gojo group stocks would go down, media scandal=bad PR, and any business relationship with Creston and the Gojo group would not work due the to affair. Y/N family would be heartbroken and pissed because if they knew that Satoru was having an affair and that he was treating y/n like crap they would think that its their fault. They trusted Satoru; and y/n family would feel betrayed and guilty. Since Creston is the biggest financial group they have a lot of power. Eula thinking that there are other business that would deal with the Gojo group sound so ignorant, even Naoya knew this. Like Creston is the biggest financial group in all of Japan. The other “business” that Eula mentioned could have had business relations with Creston and if the affair or any scandal were to come out that involves the Gojo group, other business would be hesitant or not do any business deals with the Gojo family, due to their scandal and fear that Creston would not work with any businesses that have worked with the Gojo group , if the affair and possible pregnancy of sera comes to light. Y/N family would be pissed and devasted by the affair. and the scandal would put a bad reputation towards the Gojo group. Eula and Sera truly lacks self awareness on how big the consequences would be due to how narrow minded they are. Both eula and sera are only focusing on themselves and not care/lacks self awareness of their actions. I hope this make sense and sorry if this was too long😅😅

Okay really last thing (between me and you, it’ll be a secret) can you promise me that there will definitely be a gojo x y/n sexy scene. Toji thinking about how his wife would also find YN admirable is something I found super sweet. As well as how much he admires and finds the hood in YN, he truly wants to her to be happy and it’s still so contrasting to the happiness Satoru wants for YN. For Toji, it feels like he wants YN to be happy bc she deserves it and because he likes to see her happy. With Satoru, though he feels like he’s trying, there still a strong underlying selfishness in his actions. He is trying to sweep things under the rug as if he wasn’t unjust and cruel to his wife to deserve the cold shoulder and harsher treatment he’s now getting. He may be ready for the love that YN was giving but YN is no longer ready to give the love she once did.

And bumping into Satoru and Sera at the doctor!! The way I let out an excited silent scream 😭 You write angst so well, and I absolutely love every twist and turn you include both big and small. I said it before but you’re an amazing writer Saint and I’m so excited to see where this serious would go and where other series would possibly go! Out of curiosity, would you consider writing for a new fandom or are you happy with the fandoms you have currently written/write for? Either way I look forward to it! Have a great weekend! ♡

Theory ahead, I really think that sn won’t have that much of a tragic ending. Sera isn’t preggo, not with gojo’s child at least. And I think that Shoko will play a decisive role is pinpointing that she is, somehow, lying.

Then again, I’m pretty sure that the trio/quartet (naoya, eula and Mei Mei +/- s*ra) will end each other, or Toji will get worms out of naoya’s nose about their plotting !! But gojo will eventually end up knowing about everything and s*ra isssss going to trash sooner or later

Pairing: Yoogni x Reader

Summary: You moved and started anew in Korea, where you were so lucky to meet your favorite KPop idols. You've been happier the past two years than ever and all because you chose to leave romantic love in your past but you're unaware of your friends' feelings.

Warnings: maybe cursing?

Author: Based on She's Everything by Brad Paisley because this picture does things to me. Noone can tell me they don't listen to country. Part 2?

Words: a lot, I was copy pasting it to a word counter and got tired. For the record, wrote this after work so....

"Night guys," Yoogni pats all of the guys on thier shoulders. It had been a long day and he just wanted to go home and pick some strings, relieve stress. He sighs and leaves, twirling his car keys on his finger as he walks out of the studio. The sun had set hours ago and the stars lit up the sky now, he stops to look up at it for a second before walking to his car and slipping in and noticing that he had gotten a message saying he needed to do a live video. He slid his phone up on his dash and leaned his head back on his chair and groans before sighing and driving home, well the hotel room. Quiet, it was quiet, he wished he was back in Korea with you as he tosses his phone on the couch and keys on the kitchen bar table and flicks the lights on. He kicks his shoes off by the door. He made his way over to the couch and sets the laptop up for a video. Reminding himself to put on a smile as he leans over and grabs his guitar. Immediately the video has comments flooding up, he waves and gestures his guitar and explains he had a long day and wants to play. Just like that, song suggestions fly in, he can't even keep up to read them all but he catches the one that he was hoping to see. Yours. "Play something country," he shakes his head and smiles. He can't out right say Y/N and acknowledge you but he finds the chord and starts playing and you know he saw your comment. He plays and his mind wanders, he just focuses on the music and memories of the past few years flood his mind

She's a yellow pair of running shoes

He doesn't realize he is about to laugh as he starts singing because of the memory. It was maybe six months ago when you and Jungkook, being the idiots you both were and the same age, decided that you wanted to race to see who would buy the other cake at lunch. You won, despite your legs not being as long they carried you just as fast. You wanted to do it barefoot but Jin and Namjoon wouldn't allow it, you insisted the shoes slowed you down. Truth was you just hated wearing shoes. You did start taking off barefoot but they said no because it was on pavement, much to your annoyance. Your shoes were yellow because they were a dirty pair of what used to be white knock off converses and they just got dingy with age. Come to think of it, you may have actually been faster without them, you had some powerful feet.

A holey pair of jeans

All of your damn pants had holes in them. All of them that fit you at least, you either bought them ripped or there was one pair you sandpapered a rip into and wore so much that the fashionable little rip turned to a giant gaping hole in the knees because the strings popped and faded away. God, your jeans aggravated him.

She looks great in cheap sunglasses

You were frugal. He remembers a trip to a mall one time with you and Jungkook, and Joon. Joon wanted to visit the sunglasses shop because he had broken yet another pair. As Namjoon tried some on and he leaned on the door waiting for you all because he just wanted to sleep that day. "Y/N, try these," Joon hands you a pair and he remembers watching. "Ray-Bans, ey~ she got them Ray Bans-," you tried them on, "I can dig it," you make your rapper face in the mirror until you see the price. "What the fuck? Oh hell no, you just gonna break them anyway. Come-on." Then you dragged the boys out by their hands and told Namjoon to drive to a gas station. You walked out wearing a pair of shades, your hair blowing in the breeze and sun shining down on you. Ofcourse he was looking at your cut off daisy dukes but his eyes in that moment trained in on the sight of your face and he was glad you and the guys weren't paying attention. You looked so damn good in them, and you looked like for a split second you felt like you looked good too. You walked over to them, "three dollars, you're welcome," you smirk giving them to RM who immediately broke them trying to put them on his face. "Okay, six dollars, I'll be back"

She looks great in anything

Despite what you thought, you did. His favorite thing for you to wear would be lingerie but he's never seen that, imagined it yes, but that's different. His favorite thing he has seen you wear is a good pair of jeans. Jeans when they don't have holes. They hug you nicely, paired with a navy blue v neck blouse you have and he is done for. It's all he can do to not say something to you. You did maybe three times a year max do this, but, wear lip gloss, that made his knees absolutely weak. He has known you for two years now and you've done that three times, once to church, once to go clubbing with them at a beach, and once just because but it had to be a somewhat special occasion for it to happen.

She's: "I want a piece of chocolate"

This was a recent memory, last month. Your cycle came while you happened to be staying over with them. He, Jimin and Hobi went to get you some things, upon Namjoon's request. He knew what to grab because he is a grown ass man but you texted him that you wanted specially that you wanted just a little bit of chocolate. You were adamant as always that there was a such thing as too much chocolate. He was going to just grab a candy bar but Hobi was for some reason hell bent that you needed strawberries. You did like strawberries but still? Jimin said that chocolate to dip them in would be perfect. You were pleased.

"Take me to a movie"

You would be perfectly happy if you went to work and on your days off went to see a movie, then came home and had dinner and just talked the night away on the porch or sat there silently. You knew what movies you wanted to see and the trailers gave you something to look forward to.

She's: "I can't find a thing to wear"

This. You will complain about not having anything to wear while trying on a million outfits. He and Jin don't hesitate to groan and complain, but really, he wished the door was open and he could see the little fashion show

Now and then she's moody

Moody wasn't really it, what he narrowed it down to be was that you were like him. You were nice, sweet, most times but now and again life becomes too much and you bottle things up so it explodes like when you shake a bottle of soda and open it

She's a Saturn with a sunroof

That was true, you weren't fancy. He smiles to himself, thinking about you trying to drive a family vehicle like that and he laughs as he sings. He imagines you screaming at Jin and Jungkook in the back and threatening them that they can't have fries if they don't be quiet and pictures himself sitting front passengers seat next to you and just watching you. This hasn't happened, but he can imagine it.

With her brown her a blowing

He loves watching your long brown hair blow in the breeze. If it's a gentle breeze it looks like in the movies and music videos; like princess Pocahontas. However, when it's strong wind it's one of the funniest things in the world to him. It's slapping your face, going in your mouth, getting hella tangled which would hurt later but it pissing you off was funny. He would always be there to help you brush it and wipe your tears later

She's a soft place to land and a good feeling knowing

He may not realize it but all the girls watching are cooing at the warm face he has as his eyes close. He wished you were here and he could lay his head on your lap now, feel you stroking his hair and drift to sleep there but it was a good feeling knowing you were watching this live he had long forgotten about

She's a warm conversation

That I wouldn't miss for nothing

When you got mad, it ranged from cute to damn with hot somewhere in the middle, damn being scary. Youre so small but just damn. As far as loving, you wouldn't let yourself do that romantically but he sees how you are with him and the guys.

Seven, no, eight months ago. Back in the summer, blinding light came into the room waking him up. He shielded his eyes and sits up. "Wake up Suga," he heard your voice, filled with something, a emotion he couldn't place. "Wha-," he was hungover, "what? W-Why are you awake? We slept for," he looked at the clock, "two hours? When did we get back?" You shrug. It was then he realized you were wearing a pale-ish clam pink silk dress with spaghetti straps on your shoulders, no bra, paired with wedge high heel sandals. He let his eyes scan you apply your lipgloss, the one that's the same kind JK uses, the uh, Rosy lips Vaseline. You leaned over the vanity mirror of the hotel room to see what you were doing and he remembers taking in the sight. Contrary to the jeans you wore the night before with the black t-shirt. "What's going on?" "I need to start going back to church"

"mmk, have fun," he laid back down, just feeling hungover as fuck. How are you not? He looks over his shoulder at you downing two Excedrins dry before coming over and sitting on the side of the bed. You put a hand on his bare shoulder, "Please," he couldn't look at you, in this, look in those eyes and say no. "Mmk"

And a curse word cause it's Monday

Fuck was your favorite word, there was no doubt. You love how versatile it was. It could be a verb, an adjective, a noun, you even somehow managed to make it a proper noun. He heard you say it shamelessly every way possible, except one

She's a bubble bath and candles

Candles gave you migraines, the scents were overwhelming, but you kept unscented ones on hand. If you've had a day anything like his today you'd light some for aesthetic purposes and sink yourself into a nice hot bath and most likely forget your bubbles in another room only to call him or one of the guys to get it for you and giggle happily upon being able to use it. After ofcourse smelling it and humming contently

Baby come and kiss me

You had only said this to them all in a playful platonic way, to kiss thier head or cheek. There was one time when you were all drinking around a fire at the lake house when you did say it and kiss Jin on the lips. It was a peck, you were all drunk, but he can't help the frown appearing on his face

She's a one glass of wine and she's feeling kinda tipsy

"No! Stob it Y/N!" The smile returns remembering this night. You decided to have a glass of wine and unwind. Your logic was that the bottle itself was made of glass to justify your actions

She's the giver I wish I could be

Every time you sleep over, the guys agree on one thing. No matter who you sleep with, you are a blanket hog. You don't do it on purpose. It's just that you start sleeping in fetal position and without realizing it go into a deep sleep and somehow maneuver into some sort of rogue pelican formation. Not to mention you're always cold

His wallet falls out of his pocket onto the floor as he's getting into it, he comes back to reality and stops playing for a second as he reaches down for it and stops. He stops and smiles at the flap that's open with a picture in it. A selfie you took of you and him randomly one day because you caught him smiling and wanted evidence. You wanted proof and since you never had a open mouthed smile like in this one he wanted it to so he had it made into a photo card. He remembers and gets back to singing, noticing the comments demanding it.

She's a picture in my wallet

He doesn't even realize that he stops this time for quite a long moment at the memory that comes with this line. Or that he is crying much less.

It was one day when you saw a pregnant girl and everyone was swooning over her and her son who was with her. Her son wanted to play with the guys to which they all happily went along. You walked away and he followed noticing something was up.

"Y/N...."

"Oh hey," you smiled up at him, weakest one possible.

"Something wrong?" He sat at the picnic table across from you.

"I've known I've wanted to be a mom since I was 16. One day I was riding home on the bus and I just decided, someday that's what I wanted. I never wanted a huge family, I just wanted one or two. Not then, obviously, I just knew someday. I moved here after a long term relationship ended, y'know that....I wanted one with him, I cried, I can't even remember how many times I cried and practically begged, but there was always some reason we couldn't he'd come up with.....so," you shrugged, "it's silly, it doesn't matter anyway. Never going to happen.....girls like me don't get that," You got up and left him there and walked back to the car

He now realizes his face is wet and reaches up to wipe the tears that went down his face

When I'm on my knees and praying

The memory of the morning of the hangover returns again. He could tell you were nervous, eyes were on you. He knew it because you were so beautiful but you probably didn't. When the church cleared and it was just the two of you you dropped to your knees but stood back up just as quickly.

"Hey, Y/N, you can pray if you want..."

You shook your head, "I've messed up a lot, I'm scared...."

Nothing scared you. He took your hand and got on his knees too. "I'll do it too"

The two of you prayed in silence, holding hands. He finished before you did and just stared at your interlocked hands, rubbing his thumb over your ring finger

I found it funny that Jin in Jimins Festa profile this yr called Tae his "Bf" and then the next word is "best friend" lol... He cld have easily just used the latter but okay. Your post reminded me of it. Also vmins own rollout thing where Tae once again calls Jm his "friend like no other" while Jimin says that Tae is his only same aged friend., which I find interesting because they do still have friends frm school don't they? Jimin was also seen hanging out with an idol of the same age last yr

Yeah I really don’t know, because Chingu is one thing, it’s confusing because it’s supposedly used as “same age friend” but we know they use it for people not the same age as well. It’s very common for hyung line to say “this friend” about one of the younger ones. Vmin really really use this word a lot. But we have also heard them use it about other people, like Tae saying he was with “Friends” during his break, or Jimin using “Chingu” several times when he spoke about the person he spent his vacation with and went to Paris with.

In the same live talking about his vacation he also used Chingu for the person he went to Russia with, aka Ong Seongwu. And as you say, Ong Seongwu who Jimin has been seen spending time with is the same age. I guess either he just isn’t close enough to count, Jimin forgot, or Seongwu isn’t just a friend… But then again, I don’t really think Chingu has to be platonic like the English word “Friend” is. Or Jimin really wants to reserve that special spot for Tae because it’s special to them, and even if they have other friends the same age (Tae does too). I really don’t get why Jimin said he doesn’t really have same age friends, it’s just a bit weird. Just in this one Vlive he says Chingu many many times about different people. I get that Tae is special for other reasons though, like being in the same group will obviously make them closer no matter what just due to the shared experiences. Either way it definitely seem like Jimin has other people he call Chingu and that he are close enough with to visit or travel with.

More recently he also said he enjoys driving with his friends. So the way people use chingu is just confusing to begin with.

But ignoring Chingu because I don’t know Korean and it could just be a language barrier thing I don’t understand, the fact that Jin used BF and best friend (literally the English “best friend” written in hangul) seems a bit like over kill… I don’t understand why they really need to hammer down this best friend thing.

Honestly I see only three reasons (in a broader sense), and that is: 1. They try to friendzone them even though they are more.

2. They really are best friends but the members constantly point it out for Vmin more often. Either because they are closer, because they have gotten that label and they simply got stuck using it a lot or frankly because Vmin hate the idea of being shipped.

The third one is a common option for haters as we know, and also to shippers who say Vmin is just a cover for other ships. This is to me the dumbest out of these options, because as I have said many times before it means BTS lying to us directly about something they don’t really have to lie about. And why do I say they don’t have to lie about it? Because no other combo in BTS is pushed as friends this hard, and because Ji/kook have no problem doing a lot of things so if they can do it freely then why have Vmin play things up. (No matter if Ji/kook is the real one or if another ship is and Ji/kook are fine but Vmin aren’t).

The friend label is stuck to Vmin for a reason, because they use it constantly. But then the question would be why Vmin get it much more than others and that obviously where we end up speculating.

I also want to talk about the soulmate thing… Because after literally writing a song about it, why wouldn’t Vmin use that label? And even more, after Vmin and the members has actually said they are soulmates (more than once), now the other members are using it more. How Namjoon called Hobi his soulmate for example, or speaking of the Festa profiles, where Jimin said this:

So, Jimin himself used soul brother for JK, so now I guess the soul connections are just all over the place.

And while Jin used BF and best friend for Tae when writing Jimin’s, he also used “soul’s next seat” about Yoongi. Whatever that means.

Going back we also had the soulmate thing with the personality quiz that Hobi took on weverse where he got Jimin and his soulmates showed to be tae/kook. So in general there just seem to be this increase of using different soul connections, and I don’t know if it’s because Vmin made it easier and just opened up the others to use it more, or if they are doing it to make Vmin stand out less.

As usual I am just very confused, especially with how Vmin keep being labeled as best friends so much compared to other members. And how they didn’t use soulmate... I can see why antis would use this against them, how they almost seem reluctant to want to use that word, as if it’s not true but just pushed on to them. I don’t know.

They both use friend a lot, and always have. Through the years it’s been repeated over and over again. So maybe that’s why they use it so much, because it’s what they are are and always have been. The things I do find weird is how they seems to insist on being “normal friends” and at the same time “soulmates” and special. How they say the other person is the only one when that isn’t true and of course how Vmin get friendzoned by members at weird times. I don’t see any problem with them just being friends, but sometimes they talk about it in weird ways. And that could just be me projecting, but yeah… I can’t deny that Jin writing BF and best friends while other members used soul connections pretty freely feels like such a thing.

Either way, in the end all of BTS are very close and at least from Tae towards Jimin it has been consistent with how he singles out Jimin as his best friend and someone very special. If they are moooore than that is of course a different question, and of course it’s also possible they consider other people or members to be connected to them in a soulmate kind of way. All of these things still doesn’t diminish Vmin’s close bond and how special their relationship is.

I've read a few things where Clary creates a rune/uses the alliance rune to make him immortal (but I don't think you're a real big fan of her) so I wanna hear your thoughts and also maybe Magnus's reaction

(also, about the clary thing: it’s complicated diaushduaih because i kind of really hate her in canon but i also accepted fanon clary into my life? mostly because i unfortunately can’t help but ship clizzy, but anyway, i kinda disassociate clary from canon. so i’m not really against the idea that she makes a rune or something, but i do think this idea is more interesting. or maybe it isn’t but then i guess that’s your personal problem because well, you did ask lol im jk btw)

okay so i have one word for you: seelies. hot diggity damn do i fucking love seelies or what

so you know how seelies are the offspring of demons and angels? and there’s this whole thing about demon blood and angel blood not mixing well at all? well, i was thinking, how the fuck does that work. and i came to the conclusion that whatever stronger parent they had’s blood would like, tame the other or whatever, you know? but then what if they had equally strong - or equally weak - parents? like a child of an archangel and a prince of hell, what the fuck happens then? or alternatively the child of some angel janitor and a minor demon, would they even have enough magic?

so i figured if that happens it’s like as if a seelie has an autoimmune disease - their body is fighting itself constantly. for those who have very strong parents, this means that they are decaying quickly, and usually won’t be able to like, survive for long if they don’t do something. for those who have weaker parents, it usually means they’re weak

so these seelies are actually born mortal, and for the ones with stronger parents, pretty much with a lifespan of like, a few days before they end up dying due to the autoimmunity. so what happens for those is, they have this Cool Ritual that makes them immortal and solves all their problems

basically what happens is: seelies are one with nature, correct? but they’re also, like, individuals. so they have their own magic, their own energy, their own life source. right? so what happens to these seelies is, they tie this life/magic source of theirs to that of the universe. they basically become one with the universe fully, instead of just guarding it and being connected to it, they are literally tied to it, so much so that their magic and the world’s magic is one and the same. basically their life is fed by the same source that feeds all life, even mortal ones, and that source is endless, so they become immortal. it’s not a cure per se, since it doesn’t really stop their blood from fighting itself, but it does solve the problem because it has endless energy to keep doing it. and after going through this magical ritual, they become basically the strongest seelies around, because they have access to very strong demonic and angelic magic and the like, natural source of the world. so that’s pretty cool

and this whole thing is like. absolutely top secret, no one but the seelies knows how it works or even that it exists. especially because the seelies used to be basically closed off to outside influences, besides the very few representants they had going to the realms (like meliorn)

meliorn is one of those super powerful seelies, a child of an archangel and a prince of hell, who has gone through this ritual. which is one of the many reasons they’re, you know, a super powerful and respected Seelie Knight, sent to deal directly with shadowhunters and the highest threats they have to deal with, all by themself. no one would be crazy to go against them, because they are extremely powerful. it’s also why they had, to seelie standarts, been given a slap to the wrist for taking clary to twi - i mean, they didn’t even lose their position in a super trusted and highly important job, really? like yes they were tortured and don’t get me wrong, that was fucking awful dude, but i feel like the seelie queen could have been a lot more cruel, could have taken away their job (it would make sense to since they basically committed treason by seelie law) or exiled them, or maybe even killed them. but they got “just” a physical punishment. that’s. weird to say the least

so that’s why, because meliorn actually has a lot of leverage and importance. they have a rare condition, a lot of power that most seelies can’t dream of, and they are extremely smart and have knowledge of the culture of our realm, which most seelies don’t since their realm is closed to outsiders. the seelies can’t afford to lose them. and they know that, too, which is why they went so hard to help clary and take her to twi in the first place - they knew that they would be punished, but that it wouldn’t actually risk their position, or their influence

anyway! with the previous seelie queen gone, i like to think that meliorn becomes the new seelie queen (random hc that no one asked for: since i refuse to believe that seelies have any concept of gender, i think the position is called “seelie queen” because outsiders took a look at the first seelie queen, who’s very cis female-presenting, and were like “ah, is that your queen?” and to seelies that basically translates to just “monarch” in whatever their language is, so they were just like yeah sure. and so the position is called that and they don’t even know that it’s supposed to be gendered and that to outsiders meliorn would probably be called seelie king, they are just like “i am the new seelie queen” and no one of course is going to fucking question why they didn’t gender the position, especially considering how fragile relations with the seelie realm are) or at least is given like, an important position or something. like tbh i don’t stan monarchy so :/ but anyway the point is, meliorn is super powerful, they are super smart, they have knowledge of the mundane, shadowhunter and etc cultures - and after the whole previous fiasco with the jonathan thing and the seelies having been basically kept from the other realms, despite the fact that as parts of nature, seelies should be able to wander between them as they please, i think they would want to start a radically new external policy, and who better than meliorn to help them do it? so yeah i think they would choose meliorn to be their queen. besides, they love the seelies more than anything. they might have disobeyed seelie law, but that was to like, save a whole ass realm lmao, but they’ve always had the seelies best interests at heart, hell, they were willing to be tortured twice for them. so i think they would be well liked, and want this new position, and treasure it not as a display of power, but as an opportunity to lead the people they love into better times

DISCLAIMER: i’m not saying that seelies bad or whatever, okay. tbh i do understand perfectly why they would want to close off their realm with the very real threat that shadowhunters presented, and i wouldn’t be dying to integrate with shadowhunter society either, especially considering that their idea of integration was just genocide and assimilation and the destruction of their culture. okay? but in the process, the seelie law and realm became cruel, first and foremost, towards seelies themselves, and the banishment of them from other realms is. very bad. and after the whole jonathan and valentine thing, the shadow society as a whole is being reconstructed, so what better time to try and create new alliances that won’t implicate into attempts of assimilation, etnocide and so on. it’s a new bet, basically, one that is only possible because shadowhunter society is also in shambles after the near destruction of the world, and this means that seelies have more leverage to try and build something new without yielding to them. and it’s a SLOW process, one that takes years and always has the seelies best interest’s, not the shadowhunter’s or anyone else’s, at heart, okay? and it implicates in shadowhunters giving them many concessions, and the strongest alliances between them are and will always be with the other downworlders - this is also something they are working on, making the different downworlder cultures closer and stronger politically, aiding each other mutually and helping each other reach their political goals. together, the downworlder societies are unbeatable, and the shadowhunters basically have no choice but to accept their demands, especially after so much destruction. plus, at least some of them are slightly more willing to. but it’s mostly a vicious political battle that takes all of them years, not to say decades, to settle

but the fact that the seelies are willing to do it and getting stronger relationships with warlocks and vampires and werewolves (and hoo here i come with my “maia and raphael start a vampires/werewolves alliance” hc because look that rivalry thing is STUPID and i want to see downworlder societies coming closer together and healing after being very obviously pitted against each other due to shadowhunter supremacy) is also what, well, allows the whole thing to happen. they are powerful, and the shadowhunters have no way of taking them on a war, much less now that their forces are well, fragile to say the least

in short! they have leverage now. and that makes it possible for them to try a new external policy that wasn’t in the table before, and their main interest in doing that is helping themselves, because seelies are tired of living in constant fear in a basically military state where they’re confined to the same realm despite them being supposed to be guardians of all of them. like that’s gotta affect their mental health, if they’re one with nature, wouldn’t being kept away from it be like being isolated from your loved ones? isn’t that deprivation? so like. this is about them, not the shadowhunters and how great their society is and how much they want to be a part of them, okay

anyway! so the seelies have designed a plan (because under meliorn’s rule everyone participates in political decisions because hmmm *checks notes* i said so) to make stronger alliances with the other downworlders. the first thing they offer them all is a little token of alliance. to vampires, they offer the possibility of becoming a dayligher - something they can easily do with their angel magic, not to mention, you know, blood -; to werewolves, magical amulets that help them keep their wolf under control, not turning without meaning to and being able to live a relatively normal life if they so choose; and to warlocks, knowledge of seelie magic

and of course magnus in particular eats that shit right UP because he’s a naturally curious person and a genius and a physichist and holy shit i love him so fucking much. seelies have so much more knowledge of physics and magic and their natural workings, so much so that it makes him dizzy because hell, the possibilities, and all the shit he can learn, okay. all this knowledge that was currently being kept away, and the warlocks get to learn about it (or well, part of it. obviously the seelies aren’t going to go around spilling EVERYTHING to them all at once before they even know if their token is accepted and whatnot. but they do teach those who are interested a lot of stuff, maybe create some sort of seelie-warlock magical school/course/programme/look you GET IT to strengthen their relationships as a whole?? boy i eat that shit UP). he’s just losing his mind here

super cute to think about alec coming home to find a very disheveled magnus surrounded by books and notes, hair and clothes rumpled and just a whole mess as he excitedly reads and writes and runs around to get a different book and draw parallels, okay. and alec smiles and has to be like “have you eaten?” and magnus looks up from his books all suddenly like “hm? oh hello alexander, i didn’t see you there”, “have you eaten?” “i don’t remember” “okay, i’ll make you something, you can keep reading” and magnus smiling all like “thank you” and diving right back into the notes in Super Hyperfocus + Hyperfixation Mode as he figures out, like, a thousand new spells (obviously warlocks can’t use seelie magic because they come from different sources they don’t have access to, but like, the knowledge is enough for them to create so much new stuff okay), btw. but anyway, ANYWAY

and to shadowhunters the seelies offer, i dont know, a soggy cheeto or something faiojdsajdasj look it’s not like the seelies owe them so they basically offer a truce and maybe authorization to explore certain parts of the seelie realm in small guarded groups? i dont know, in exchange for them and all other downworlders having a power and a vote in the new shadowhunter laws, and the whole proccess of reconstruction of their society. and the shadowhunters agree, after vicious infighting of course

so anyway years pass and things are blossoming, downworlder societies are stronger than ever and phucking florishing dude, shadowhunters suck less, seelies finally get to wander around like they’ve been wanting to for centuries, there’s been some neato cultural exchange, magnus is still figuring out spells and shit at an alarming rate to anyone who doesn’t know what a goddamn genius he is. and shadowhunter society is- well, changing, but there’s a kind of cultural war going on, you know, with such a strong shift in paradigm so sudden. the changes in schooling and shit that were brought on by the new accords kind of ensure that the newest generations are getting a very different view and education, but there’s still a lot of infighting from shadowhunters who want to undo all that hard work, which is of course still fragile because it’s only starting

and alec of course takes a primary role in that fight, being the greatest representative of the progressive shadowhunters’ (?) and their downworlder allies’ interests, inside shadowhunter society. like don’t get me wrong it’s not like he’s leading the downworlders, the downworlders are doing all that hard work so they can get their own destiny back into their own hands and not be led by shadowhunters anymore, but within shadowhunter society, alec is a leader and their greatest ally slash eye in the inside, defending the policies that downworlders create and letting them know what is going on inside of the clave. basically preparing a cultural war. you get it

so naturally alec is a threat to conservative shadowhunters and they’re trying to strip him off his runes all the time, and there’s even been a few (quickly failed) assassination attempts, you know, the whole. drama. and he plays an important role for this whole game, and magnus has been studying the whole immortality ritual thing, and yeah, the seelies offer to put him through the ritual

it’s a matter of political leverage (and okay maybe a personal favor to meliorn’s dear friend magnus, but like, mostly political leverage). first of all, making alec immortal gives him a lot of power within shadowhunter society, not unlike meliorn and being the child of super powerful parents. second of all, no need to worry about assassination attempts, they can’t fucking kill him! third of all, clear message - alec has powerful allies, way more powerful than the shadowhunters can dream of, and if shadowhunter society is willing to create real, lasting equality with downworlders, they have a lot to gain. if not, they have a lot to lose, because the seelies have literal power over life and death. also, alec better watch his step, too, because, you know. he owes them that one. they are not stupid, they know alec has been looking for a way of becoming immortal for years now, know how much he desires this. it’s also about keeping his loyalty, and making sure he doesn’t forget, he’s supposed to be their ally too

and there are a lot of like, security things in place. alec will not be able to see or hear anything, he will not be taught how the ritual works (not even warlocks know that yet), he will not be taught about its forces, it will happen in the seelie realm and he will go alone, and no other shadowhunter will be granted that unless the seelies themselves offer at a later time, you know, etc etc. they list off things and precautions he has to agree to for like, half an hour, and honestly they could have added “alec will have to eat a piece of the moon” and alec would be like “okay fine great let’s do this”

magnus is fucking terrified

first, because well, they have never attempted to do that on someone who isn’t a seelie, and while they have figured out a pretty damn good understanding of how it works and are pretty sure it should go smoothly, there’s no way to actually tell. it might not work. alec might regret it. does he really want this? to become immortal? he doesn’t have to say yes, and magnus will not be upset, because he would never, ever demand such a huge sacrifice from him-

and alec’s like “nope i want this let’s go” which only terrifies magnus more because it feels like he’s being impulsive, you know? and he doesn’t know if there’s any turning back from this. but alec is like “magnus, when have i ever been impulsive? i’m not impulsive, i’m just sure of what i want, and there’s no reason to dwell on it because that’s already done.” alec is an expert at dwelling on things, and when he makes a decision, it’s because that part has already been thoroughly done, with every single possible argument being exhausted and taken apart minuciously and careful. there’s no room for doubt anymore, because if there had even a spectre of it, alec would still be ruminating. he doesn’t make a decision until he’s sure, but by god, once he makes it, he is sure, and nothing will stop him

so he reassures magnus of that (“hey, look at me. i’m not doing this on a whim. i have been looking for something like this for years. i’ve given it a lot of thought. besides, the seelies reasoning is good, too; i do want to have the time to dedicate myself to these changes, to building a new society, and with that, i can do it. there’s so much i want to live and see and do, magnus. and i want to do it by your side, yes, always, forever, but it’s not just about that. this is my decision. i’m not doing it for you. you won’t owe me anything because of it. you won’t have to make it up for it. because i’m doing it for myself. okay?”) and magnus kind of chokes up and hugs him and cries because he’s so overwhelmed by everything, the fear and the adoration and the relief of knowing that alec isn’t doing this just because of him, because if he had, magnus would forever feel like he was ruining his life, like he was indebted, like he would have to make up for it. but alec wants this. truly. and he doesn’t have to- worry anymore, this constant weight in his head, that tells him this has an expiration date, you’re gonna lose him. look at how much time you’re wasting with all of this, he’ll be gone before you even notice. there’ll be no turning back, and you’ll regret it forever. and fuck it’s just- so much, okay

so alec hugs him and they repeat to each other, i love you, i love you, i love you, and the next day, alec accepts the seelies’ offer.

and magnus is- fuck, terrified, because he can’t even go with him, can’t even watch. there’s nothing he can do but wait

but everything goes relatively smoothly and alec emerges from the seelie realm exactly as before, no change to be noted, not even when magnus scanned him with his magic - it’s all still there. still a shadowhunter, still the same runes, the same face, the same hazel eyes, the same smile and voice, and when he hugs and kisses magnus, it feels like just the same

and then i suppose alec can now, like, talk to trees or something, since he’s connected to the whole force of nature and whatnot. i don’t think he would be able to use magic, because like i said, he’s still the same and a shadowhunter so it’s more that his angelic magic is stronger? but he’s fucking immortal dude, and he can like talk to trees, which is at the very least funny as hell (cracky images of alec discussing with some shadowhunter asshole and he’s like, even your SUCCULENT is tired of you!! but i digress)

anyway the point is, it works both in the sense of immortal alec, baby! and the whole political leverage thing, and they basically revolutionize all of shadowhunter society and alec lives to see the results of that besides magnus, and meliorn is the greatest seelie queen ever, and the downworlder societies are all happy and blossoming and getting their best life, and everyone is happy, and the bigoted shadowhunters die and are hated by their own plants. the end
