Please read this post to know how I will proceed with the event on my page:

I've been doing pumkin hunting in the last few years and I am slowly running out of funny locations to hide them, and I also miss the OG way of trick or treating so:

🎃 On the first weekend (20th-22nd October): Visit my page and when you see that my porch light is on, knock on my door each day. By knocking on the door, I mean send an ask OFF anon saying ‘trick or treat’ or make up a fun poem, pun or something - your choice. 1 new gift each day!

Porch light on? What is that? As the tradition says, when the porch light is on, you are welcomed to trick or treat. When it is off, don’t even try. A little banner will show, if my porch light is on (located in the sidebar image on my tumblr) I will also pin a post several times each day, when my light is on, and also when it is off.

🎃 On the second weekend (27th-29th October): I will do pumpkin hiding for the same treats - a second chance to get my treats before the event ends! (I will post more info about it before that weekend)

🎃 How many treats can you collect from me: I have 3 treats, 1 each day - same 3 treats on the first weekend as on the second.

🎃 What if you missed a day? Don’t you worry, I will release all the treats after the event.

So all in all, from Friday on, keep an eye on my blog, and if my porch light is on ask for a treat off anon. Come back each day, as I have 3 treats to share during the event! Have fun! 🎃

Messy markers doodle timeeee for spooky season! 🎃

This will probably be understood only by Italian TF fans like me😂 in the og italian dub of the 80s, our beloved Thundercracker was called Vampiro (vampire) and Skywarp instead, Corvo (Raven). So I doodled them getting in "costume" as their names for fun and taking advantage of Halloween hehehe

I would've featured Astrum (Starscream) too, but he couldn't fit in hahaha he would've been a shiny star 🌟

Plus I was supposed to post this right on Halloween's day but it seems like I will be busy that day so here it is

Random-Mailbox's Favorite Sailor Moon Fics - Week 22 - Friends to Lovers

I think this may have been the post I have been looking forward to the most, so thank you tophat for picking it as this week’s theme (see end of last week's post for the story behind it). Friends to Lovers is more manga than anime characterization in most cases, which is a nice change to the constant arguing we get with the OG anime compliant stories.

It's You (I Fell Into) - @idesofnovember

Usagi literally trips over air and falls onto Mamoru on his first day of being the new engineer at the company she works for. As they start to spend more time together both in and out of the office, they get into a pattern that will require clearing up of misunderstandings before someone gets hurt. Also this art piece titled "Before you go in" by @iamcharlotte88 totally fits into the end of chapter 3 / start of chapter 4 of this story.

It's Always Been You - Beej88

In this non-senshi AU, little Usagi finds Mamoru in his hospital room and declares that since he is her best friend he will never be alone again. As he moves through foster care, Tsukinos always keep an eye on him, with him becoming an integral part of the family. Except that to him, Usagi means so much more than that, and she herself doesn’t realise yet what Mamoru means to her.

The Ghosts Of Lake Yokai - @floraone

This is the lemoniest story of the bunch. It is an aged up retelling of the original anime episode, BUT if the Starlight Tower stand-off turned out completely differently, with Mamoru joining the senshi team as the result. This one also features magical healing 🍆, which is always welcome in my books 😏

Mamoru has long ago realized that he was in love with Usagi but chosen to keep himself in check best he can to stay in her life as one of her best friends. But when mixing alcohol, jealousy and a birthday party, even best intentions can go astray.

Finally Mine - @reispinkoveralls

Having woken up after defeating Chaos at the Cauldron, Usagi rushes to Mamoru's place to make sure he is back as well. In this AU, they have been fighting together as a team, and Usagi chose to not worry him overseas when a new enemy appeared. This one is also a 🍋🍋

Miraculous Musings: Vignettes of a Miracle Romance - Chapter 25: Fairy - @goddessalthena

This one-shot gives us a glimpse of an AU that us readers will hopefully get to see in full one day. The set-up is that our favorite duo has known each other since childhood and Mamoru gets something incredibly thoughtful as a gift for Usagi.

Reverse Au! Time

So, Halloween means I get free reigns to make an AU (Talking like Kraken has not enabled me a huge amount)

Bai's form is based on a ferret and she is way smaller than most dream catchers as her size can help dreamers to get used to her. She uses her coat to cover children/innocent people from nightmares so they can hide in a safe space where she has her gold accesories to glow as a comfort.

She is a little selfish (since she isn't supposed to interfere with the nightmares due to her job) with her acts but when they trynna catch her she just burrows herself in any near earthy biome and just vanish.

How did Bai met Lynde(Human Traum)?

Bai was coursing through dreams as usual, when she found a human child in a particularly bad dream. Plagued by what they only can expect to be a personification of their insecurities. She decided to help him with them, hiding him with her coat and comforting him as long as she could, without actually interacting with the nightmares.

She stayed long until he woke up, not before they promised the child a visit in every dream to make sure they would be safe.

Is Bai a Yandere since this is a reverse Au?

No, she is not. I wanted to take the essence and play a bit with the fact. But Sage's personality doesn't allow her to become Yan in the dreamcatcher AU. I would leave that to Lynde still. But maybe I can try that in another kind of reverse AU.

How did fell in love with Lynde(Human Traum)?

Intense stalking and trying (From Lynde's side) and some very good analysis of how Bai is weak to weakness. Began as Lynde winning over her time and effort to "avoid the nightmares" and slowly started enjoying and longing the company. Bai couldn't fight againt the shy-hottie rizz.

What is Lynde/Traum's job in this AU?

[I am taking a huge leap, so Kraken or anybody can give me a better idea if they want!]

I think Lynde would be loaded, first, because yandere powers. So they would have a sicko lab or something related to induce sleep on themselves so they can spend more time together. I believe Lynde wouldn't outright seek a job because that would take valuable time apart from Bai and that is not something he would allow.

Sketches time!

I am just about to explain each sketch? Yes, yes I am.

First one, its the first encounter between the babies. Bai was just going along when she saw a crying child, tormented by a nightmare (Imagine that the generic nightmare is a humongous monter or smth). She comforted the child, they cannot make the nightmare go away since that is a power only the dreamer has. But they can stay until they calm down or wake up.

Then we have the disguise, I did think of changing it to match the dreamcatcher persona but its Sage, if she really were to not need any job and sleep all she wants, they would be 1000000% more relaxed and happy. Still mischevious tho, but the design just has her more happy and without scars/eyebags that came with the OG self story.

Also Lynde reaction to the first time Bai/Sage shows him love irl, bc I can.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN Y'ALL 🎃

I am posting this during the night between October 31 and November 1, I finished these two pieces a few hours ago ✨️

These two illustrations were intended to be done for Hisoillu Week 2023, specifically for the Lover / Killer prompt. I was unable to do the whole week and had to stop before I could finish these because I was getting tired, so I decided to finish them for Halloween!

I am so happy with the result! The original pieces are some of the first HxH fanarts I drew in 2022 and two of my faves from then. It was before the accident and I was also still very new at digital art, and I cannot look at the OGs without cringing a bit at how ugly they actually are 😭 I think I did a great job with the redraws!

I hope y'all folks had a fun Halloween this year! Currently I just finished watching Saw with my GF, and now we will rewatch Reanimator, a movie I have already seen and know I loved but I cannot recall a single thing from it 🙃 I will try to keep up drawing regularly!

💜 This spooky season read is bound to enchant and delight many readers. If you're looking for an easy, troped-up "Chosen One" plot just in time to drag out your Halloween decorations, this is it! Meg Cabot creates a cozy, small-town witchy romance that has all the potential of fueling your Buffy the Vampire Slayer or OG Charmed nostalgia...except it doesn't.

🦇 I'm surprised this was categorized as Adult Fiction / Women's Fiction, because Jessica came off as juvenile in the present and her high school flashbacks. Unfortunately, many of the other adult characters didn't come off as mature either. Rosalie still comes off as an elitist snob, and when she doesn't get her way, she breaks down in a childish tantrum. Jessica's ex (now Rosalie's husband) Billy has a bland yet innocent childlike nature as well. The weird, heteronormative jealousy that occurs seems awkward and misplaced. Honestly, the token queer teens, Ester and Gabrielle, come off as more mature than most of the adults. While I love a confident, curvy MC, labeling her as such doesn't make her an instantly loveable character. Unfortunately, the entire cast is very two-dimensional. Our so-called villains crumble at the first sign of...I wouldn't even call it conflict, because the would-be "showdown" scene was resolved with a speech. Cute, and maybe progressive, but a complete let-down for a resolution. The story begins with a dual timeline that suddenly dissolves, secrets are revealed too quickly, and every source of tension or conflict was too short-lived to matter. There's barely any use of magic; it's far too subtle. The characters and plot all lack the magic that truly would have made this story enchanting.

🦇 Recommended for fans of the Princess Diaries series (the maturity level of both MCs feels similar), Sabrina the Teenage Witch, or some quick, cute spooky season vibes.

I wanted to start by showing what OG Richard would wear for Halloween. Personally from me and one of my best mutuals(@nadilseb) came up with an idea that works so perfectly for him. For his costume, he would dress as a disco zombie since we thought he would look adorable in it!!!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Soviet Spooky Club(🎃) is going to make you shit and cry and call for mommy this October because we are watching nothing but SCEWWY MOVIES!! Oh lord how can I save myself, you’re desperately searching for answers, well they are right in front of you! None of what we’re watching is actually scary roflmao do you think horror even existed as a genre in the USSR get real. 

All of October to kill, 9 days in total, and a schedule as follows:

Saturday 1st - Viy, literally the only confirmed Soviet horror that is nowadays just cute. An adaptation of Gogol’s story about the og Five Nights At Churches.

Friday 7th - Alice in Wonderland + Alice Through the Looking Glass, cartoons. Very lovely, and with such nice songs, full of the trademark weirdness, nostalgia for childhood and love for weird kids! Also we want to traumatise your children.

Saturday 8th - Zero City, Perestroika-era (a lot on the list are) from Shakhnazarov, an absurdist dark comedy about It All, really.

Friday 14th - three cartoons at once since they’re short: Polygon (Firing Range) - about revenge, tanks, and Fear; The Pass - trying to rescue ourselves from a horrid planet after being stuck there for over a decade and remembering about the past you never got to witness; Terrible Vengeance - another Gogol adaptation, do read the short story for full enrichment and Spookies, about a total fucking devil scumbag.  

Saturday 15th - One Deadly Owner, a guest from the foreign lands in the Club(🎃)! Aka Jeremy Brett’s unbuttoned tits and the haunted car, @tremendousdetectivetheorist and @53rdcenturyhero as promised.

Friday 21st - And Then There Were None, Agatha Christie’s adaptation that, according to many, is among the, if not the most, faithful one. 10 people stuck on an island, hopefully they don’t have any dark secrets granting them death hahaha

Saturday 22nd - Master Designer, getting haunted by kinda your own creation 💅

Friday 28th - The Wild Hunt of King Stakh, a creepy vibes Belorussian suffering in a weird castle filled with weird people.

Saturday 29th - the Russian dub, with edited English sub, of A Nightmare Before Christmas presented to us by prof, the cherry on the top of the Spooky!

peppermint: what’s your favourite holiday and why? - my birthday is October 30th so my favorite since childhood has been Halloween. I’m not a huge horror fan (I hate being scared) but I like all the “spooky season” parts. I love getting to dress up too, I work with littles so they adore my fun costumes every year 🎃👻

teapot: music preference? - I’ll be the first to admit that Mister Bex has a better taste in music than I do 🤷🏻‍♀️ Taylor Swift and Halsey are two of my favorites, but very much into The 1975, Bad Suns, The Band CAMINO, Vancouver Sleep Clinic, Lord Huron, and Bob Moses. Dagny’s Strangers/Lovers is an excellent pop album. I love Lizzo! I’ve recently really gotten into Post Malone (didn’t see it coming tbh) and Niall Horan’s Heartbreak Weather from 2020 is one of my favorites. I guess you could say my taste is eclectic 💃🏻🕺🏻🪩

OMG, guys, you won't believe what I found out about Persephone! 😲 Like, you know she's the queen of the underworld and all, but did you ever wonder what she'd be like if she were living it up in modern times? 🌆📱 Well, here's a little peek into a day in the life of Persephone in our 21st-century world. Spoiler alert: She's a total boss, even outside the underworld! 🔥👑

Day 1: #OOTD in the Underworld So, Persephone starts her day by scrolling through her Instagram feed for some fashion inspo. She's like, "I need a killer #OOTD for today!" 👗🕶️ But instead of a closet full of designer clothes, she's got an enchanted wardrobe that serves up outfits on demand. She steps out of the underworld looking like a fashion icon, ready to slay Hades' heart and the mortal realm at the same time. 💁‍♀️💅

Day 2: Brunch with Demeter Persephone's like, "Gotta keep mama happy!" 🍳🥑 She FaceTimes Demeter while whipping up some avocado toast (cause even goddesses need their avo fix). They chat about life and crop rotation because, you know, Demeter's all about that agriculture. It's a chill mother-daughter brunch, complete with Greek yogurt and pomegranate seeds for dessert. 🍇🍨

Day 3: Hades' Surprise Date Night Hades is like, "Babe, I'm planning a surprise date night!" 🌹 Persephone's intrigued because he's got a flair for the dramatic. She gets dressed up in her hottest outfit (I mean, it's the queen of the underworld, so duh). Hades whisks her off to an exclusive, underground speakeasy. 🍸🕺 They sip on ambrosia cocktails and dance the night away while being serenaded by the souls of the dearly departed. #DateGoals 💑🌌

Day 4: Instagram Takeover Persephone's feeling extra today and decides to do an Instagram takeover. She takes us on a tour of the underworld, showing off all the cool stuff like the River Styx and Cerberus the three-headed dog. 😎📸 The ghosts of ancient heroes follow her, leaving heart-eye emojis on her posts. They're her OG fans. 👻❤️

Day 5: Self-Care Sunday Even queens of the underworld need some self-care. Persephone runs a bubble bath with pomegranate-scented bath bombs 🛁🍑, throws on a face mask, and binge-watches Netflix (yes, she has a secret Wi-Fi connection down there). She texts Aphrodite for some beauty tips, and they swap skincare routines. 🧖‍♀️💄

Day 6: Goddess Pilates Class Persephone is all about that goddess fitness life. She hits up a Pilates class with Athena and Artemis. 🧘‍♀️💪 Hades got her a personalized yoga mat with pomegranates on it. Afterward, they sip on green smoothies and gossip about other gods' drama. 🍏🗣️

Day 7: Reigning Over the Underworld It's back to business. Persephone rules the underworld with an iron fist (but like, a stylish iron fist). She checks in on the souls, reviews the latest fashion trends in Tartarus, and has a meeting with Hades about their upcoming Halloween party. 🎃👻 She's the boss lady of the underworld and Instagram's original #GirlBoss. 💼👠
