Danny is the Crazy Old Man™️ of Gotham

So, the events of Danny Phantom happened decades ago

Like, Phantom Planet was one of the first instances of Superheroes in HISTORY. Early 1900's, just the Fentons were Insanely Ahead of their Time!

Danny is still a Halfa, but has allowed himself to grow old and live his best life before fully dying so he can accept his Throne in the Infinite Realms. He decides to experience Life in the fullest way possible, partying, drinking, making long lasting friendships that shape the lives of everybody he meets, all that!

Eventually, Danny's Party Life leads him to Gotham. And this place is just amazing!

It has all the comforts of Home, with so much more! He can Party! He can Fight! He can do anything he wants and nobody bats an eye, because a crazy old man getting into a fistfight in the middle of the road is just another Tuesday for Gotham!

He decides to spend the rest of his Mortal Life there. And this is still Early On in the DC Timeline, like, Batman Year 1 is happening Right Now.

He hangs around, befriends the local Homeless Population, and mostly just has the time of his Life! And he takes up the stereotypical Homeless Old Man look because why fight it? That's literally what he's going for!

He also unintentionally sets up a bunch of future events

He teaches Kid!Jason on his to steal Tires as repayment for driving off some muggers with a Baseball Bat (honestly he was looking forward to being mugged, it's a new experience after all)

He pulls Kid!Tim into an Alley after Tim gets caught out at night and gets chased by some Punks. He hides Tim behind a Dumpster and tricks the Punks into mugging him instead (Yay! He finally got mugged!)

He becomes kind of well known as the Old Man who wants to experience everything before he dies. He says as much too, not like he really has a reason to hide it. He just tells people "I want to live my life to the fullest, it don't matter if I live 10 more years or 10 more minutes, I'm gonna experience every second of it!"

He once walked into a Cloud of Fear Gas to see what it was like. Later he said it was a 6/10. "Not the worst thing I've had injected into my body!" He says with no Context.

He traded places with a Hostage during an active Crime Scene because he wanted to know what it's like.

He was once dared to take Batmans Utility Belt by another Homeless Guy as a joke, so he walked up to Batman later that night in full view of everybody else and just asked for his Belt. He gives up after a few minutes, and one guy asked "Why not fight him for it? It's an experience after all.". Danny replys "Nah, I've fought Vigilantes before. It was fun though, gotta say!"

...

This got away from me, but all this to say: Imagine the Bat Families Reaction when they find out "Crazy Old Danny" is PHANTOM. You know, THE FIRST SUPERHERO!

I imagine Constantine is having a stroll though Gotham after finishing up some business with Bruce, and just bumps into a homeless guy by accident.

Later that night:

Batman: Constantine, Why are you calling? Is it to do with the-

Constantine: Why the fuck is there a Homeless God in your City?

Batman: Wait wha-

...

Or imagine they know before Constantine meets him, and it goes instead like this

Constantine: Why the fuck is there a Homeless God in your City?!

Batman: You mean Old Man Danny? He's just a homeless guy? What do you mean?

Constantine: I swear on what's left of my Soul, that is a God.

Batman, a little shit: I don't think so, I would know (fully knows)

DCxDP: Professional Protector of Love

Danny Fenton moves to Gotham to start a second branch of Fenton Works. At least on paper, in reality, he is there to try and fulfill his obsession now that Amity Park has become too peaceful once he was officially crowned king.

His parents had been overjoyed he wanted to help the family business grow. They had been super supportive the day Danny revealed he was a halfa to them.

His dad even sat him down to apologize for all the hateful things he said about Danny through the years. His mom had been a little less vocal emotionally but she had also given him a deeply severe apology.

When they learned that Danny had been the one to save the town over and over again from invading ghosts, Jack jumped for joy that his son was a ghost hunter and a darn good one at that. They joined Team Phantom, keeping the world safe, and helped Danny hide his hero activities.

It really felt like Danny was part of the family business. It was a blast, even though they remained the town quacks for the first time Danny didn't mind. His parents knew he was a Halfa and they loved him anyway. That's all he needed.

When Clockwork came knocking when he was sixteen to explain that ghosts had chosen to follow the rules of conquest thus Danny was next in line for the throne, to be crowned at twenty, the Fenton's celebrated like Danny had been selected to the best Ivy schools. It meant a lot since realistically Danny didn't think he was getting anywhere with his grades.

His grades were terrible but Jazz helped him get his high school diploma by the skin of his teeth, and he was content with it. Once he graduated high school Danny felt adrift.

Amity Park hadn't been attacked in years due to him being announced as heir of the throne and no ghost would disrespect him by attacking his haunt. It was poor manners to attack the King. Ghost cared a lot about etiquette. Many of them existed because of etiquette.

The thing is Danny's ghost's existence depends on his obsession with Protection so when the ghost stops giving him something to protect Danny falls into his sub-obsession: love.

Sub-obsessions were like a secondary focus for ghosts. It was something that could grab their attention and even help them keep form but not as strongly as their main. It had its cons and pros like most things in life.

For one it wasn't as straightforward as the main obsessions. Protecting someone weaker in any situation was easier to physically do than trying to explain love and get it to appear in life. There are multiple versions of love, which makes things a little better, but Danny still has to depend on others for that to fuel him.

Danny likes to think of main and secondary obsessions in terms of running and jogging. Both got you to where you needed to go. One was just faster, and much more draining to do in the long run. The other took patience and tenacity but was rewarding over time.

The other notable characteristic of sub-obsessions was that they only appeared to ghosts who had an elemental core. Most had their common core- a core portraying to how a ghost came to be, either by death or being born in the Zone.

Danny was a rare few that had an ice core form around his common core. Most elemental ghosts were considered nobility in the zone and their rare appearance granted them special privileges.

One such privilege was attending high-class galas in the zone where he dined with the most important of beings. This was before he even knew he was going to be Ghost King.

It was at one of these Galas that he met Cupid- yes that Cupid- the ghost of love happily explained his Sub-Obession after his own core recognized a kinder spirit. Cupid said that if Danny could not be part of the love he could help others find the different ways love worked and that would help hold him over.

It was a challenge but Danny figured he could use the Greek words of love to help him satisfy his obsession.

He found that if he let his core guide him, the answer to any form of love issue would appear to him. Like his ghost breath activating, it was his sight of people who glow in different colors, telling him what type of love they were currently feeling.

Eros: romantic, passionate love colored red.

Philia: intimate, authentic friendship colored yellow

Storge: unconditional, familial love colored green

Philautia: compassionate self-love colored blue

Agápe: empathetic, universal love colored white.

Danny wanted to keep his secret identity as Phantom under wraps openly told being he could see "auras" that explain what to do.

Some called him crazy like his parents, but that changed the day after Danny spotted the soft red mixed with a chipper yellow glow around Dash and Kwan. He had pulled both individually to the side to talk about it- Kwan had been less hostile than Dash on his meddling- and only after successfully making them confess and start dating did people notice.

He became known around Casper High as the go-to person whenever they needed advice in any relationship. He even helped Sam finally connect with her parents.

Danny had a gift for it- and whenever he made them feel more love of any kind the more powerful did he feel. It was the same rush as rescuing someone but darn if it didn't have a kick to it. And everyone in Amity Park starts tripping over themselves to talk to him and hear his opinion on the issue.

Sam jokingly told him to start charging people. Tucker took the joke as gospel and created him an email and an online store. He had linked Danny's store to Fenton Works- since the business license was so open-ended- and Danny Fenton, Professional Protector of Love worked under Fenton Works before they finished their junior year.

Danny adored working as a protector of love, but his main obsession needed fulfillment so Jazz suggested a move. Take his love work to the most dangerous city in the county. Protect people by night as Phantom and by day give the downdraught citizens some help in bettering their relationships.

His parents helped him pick out a store with an apartment on the top floor, Tucker as both tech support and a clerk for his small store section of Love Charms, while Sam joined up as a receptionist.

His two best friends were going to be his roommates while they studied at Gothum U for their degrees. He would pay them but until he had a solid client base it wouldn't be a lot.

Both seemed fine with the arrangement since Danny was letting them live rent-free with their own rooms.

Jazz and his parents remained in Amity Park but they swore to visit whenever they could.

It took seven months of work but the store was ready- he styled it to look like ancient Greek Cupid-inspired decore. He also had to get all the legal work out of the way and get familiar with the city before he tried to depute as Phantom.

He figured that for now he could stick to protecting humans from ghosts, vengeful spirits, and the busload of curses that cluttered Gotham. Danny would leave human crime to the Bats while he settled. He would step in if he happened upon a situation but he wouldn't go out of his way to find it.

"Danny, do you need anything for the aura reading?" Sam asks typing away at her desk computer. She took her job seriously. Tucker was typing away on his personal laptop, likely working on some homework. "The first customer is already in the consultation room."

Danny adjusted his pure white suit with small colored lines. He had it specially made to have all the colors he saw in love as his uniform. He wanted to give off the Prince vibe of his ghost status.

"I'm good!" He calls back to her, walking down the soundproof room- to give his clients the privacy they deserve- and giving his best professional smile at the boy sitting on the plush couches inside. He designed the room to look like a Greek palace and he hopes the others appreciate.

"Hello, Mr. Wayne. I hear you need professional help with protecting the various types loves in your life?"

"Tsk." Damian Wayne, in all his twelve-year-old glory, raises his chin. "I am capable of protecting them just fine. I merely... need further information on how to show my fondness is all."

Damian glowed green- which meant he needed help connecting to his family or at the very least learning how to talk to them. Danny's smile widens. "You came to the right place for that. Let's start the ready yeah?"

Before Danny can take the throne there are a few logistical matters that he needs to attend to. One of which is the attunement of the Kings summoning circle, a means of communicating with the mortal realms. While reviewing the ritual and its variations with Sam and Tucker in the presence of some observants one of them mentions how wack it is that anybody with knowledge of the ritual can just summon a "King" at any time all willy nilly and the other suggests that it is changed so that instead of transporting Danny to who knows where, it is the "summoner" who is transported to a secure waiting room in Phantoms keep where they can be addressed at his leisure.

It will be several weeks after his coronation when a would be summoner gets Uno reversed into the Kings waiting room where they have to fill out forms for why they are petitioning the King of the dead

Constantine just standing in line right next to half a dozen demons and deities he owes his soul to as he waits to talk to the Ghost King

not me thinking about imaginary scenarios of ten year old Tim Drake in the ghost zone (pariah’s castle)

where Tim thinks it’s strangely soothing that despite being the only one whose steps connect to the ground, there’s not that eerie silence that befell drake manor

strange blob creatures chitter softly and nip at his hair and swooshes and wisps of wind betray the presence of an invisible ghost

which after following he realizes it’s almost like he’s trailing after the black dark shadow that is batman again

which gives him the idea that, maybe, just this one time, he can play the part of robin

that in mind Tim makes out a game of sneaking to the side of ghosts that look like they’re brooding and if they can spot him he loses

most just grunt in response (very in character) while others fuss over him and ask questions which Tim uses to infodump

he also politely asks the ghost that always asks him how he’s doing to instead say the word “report”

(the ghost looks at him weirdly but humors him and besides the answer would be the same anyways)

Tim also(!!)

gets on the case of why the walls lack tangibility when he is the one leaning on them (he doesn’t live down the time he wanted to look cool only to fall through the wall)

hyperfixates on how gravity works in the ghost zone because he couldn’t do a skateboard trick he has pulled off many many times and he’s salty about it

tries to figure out where they are getting human food from (cause it’s hot enough to be homemade but also there’s no kitchen —so how could it be) (also he wants coffee)

finds out the dude that often gives him a side eye when he finds that Tim knows how to do something (math homework), is next in line for the throne and yet doesn’t have a single “mingle and talk people up” bone in his body. (despite it his networking is a solid 7/10)

gets a ghost horse to adopt him what

discovers pretty quickly that there are rooms to which he can’t phase through (a.k.a. he’s not allowed entry) to which he begrudgingly backs off even though that stands in his way of doing a very thorough layout™ of the place (robin would)

sulks over the lack of extreme sports in the place

(Danny takes him to the Far Frozen where they go tire sliding in the snow and where tim learns how to use a skateboard skate and also that ghost ice cream is just as good as normal ice cream)

sulks again cuz he caught a common cold

also because there’s no sun or moon poor Timmy’s already screwed sleep schedule gets more messed up to the point no one knows when or where he will fall asleep

(ghosts find him in the most unhinged of places with a signature purple cloak draped over him every. single. time.)

overall, be a menace

see-> the time he threatened to build ghost weapons he’d somehow memorized the blueprints of cause Danny wouldn’t let him visit the radium girls factory but yes the renaissance period

see-> that time he went through the whole ghost energy and how to work with it book section in the library and half an hour later had a prototype of a star wars laser beam made

(note: bribing only works for hot chocolate, not for letting him keep cool-looking guns)

just tim having the time of his life

clockwork being no help at all (the ghost loves being a cryptid)

and danny trying not to get attached while he progressively gets more concerned over this chaos child he emotionally adopted as his little brother

(to fit canon cause i want it to this would just be until Danny finds the dimension little Timmy is from, then they can safely yeet the child back to the moment he first went missing)

anyways before anyone knows it’s been three months

I had more thoughts about my "Elle is the Ancient of the Speedforce" au idea so I'm gonna dump them here in bullet point format:

Elle decides to formally claim the Flash Fam as part of her Court, no one thinks much of this outside of "Oh that's neat" until it comes out that if anything happens to Elle, the FlashFam becomes the new Royal Family of Speedforce and that due to weird Infinite Realms laws Bart is the next in line for the mantle of Ancient of the Spaceforce

Elle can use any Speedster as a portal. She just decides who she wants to see and just comes crawling put of their chests like a god damn horror movie. It doesn't hurt the Speedster at all (it actually gives them a power boost for a bit) but it is absolutely fucking terrifying to witness this eldritch entity burst its way out of the Speedster in question. The FlashFam uses this as the ultimate intimidation tactic. It's super effective.

Now that they are in direct contact with the Speedforce itself (in a way) the Speedsters can get away with So Much Shit that they didn’t used to. Elle can now just pull them out of her core if they end up going to fast and now that they have someone who has the Ancient of Time on speed dial (ha) they get a heads up on what that particular attempt to fuck with time will result in

Technically Diana & the FlashFam are cousins now. The family reunions get a little wild. Batman has no idea how he's supposed to make contingencies for this shit

Anytime any of the Speedsters are having issues with the Speedforce they call Elle and she helps them figure it out and get it under control. Sometimes to help calm them down she will pull the Speedforce away from them completely

Elle decides that her Speedsters all need therapy. Jazz won't do it because since they're family now it'd be a conflict of interests but a few Yetis from the Far Frozen step up to help.

Anytime it looks like there is something truly world ending about to go down thr FlashFam call Elle to help out. Since she looks like a tiny twelve year old girl it results in a lot of funny moments of the Biggest Big Bads being like "This is all you got?" Seconds before having their faces melted off.

The reason Bart is Elle's heir is because he "inherited" Elle's. (And therefore Danny's) ability to duplicate.

Everyone finally chills out about the idea of Bart being Elle's heir only to discover that being her heir also makes him second in line for the throne of the Infinite Realms.

Constantine - once he stops having a panic attack about it - does try to sell his soul to each of the Speedsters just to see if it would work. It does, but since they technically out rank everyone else he's sold his soul too, anyone who has a soul contract with Constantine takes this to mean the new members of the Royal Family want *all* of Constantine's soul and hand thier contracts over to try and gain favor. Constantine now constantly feels like he's on the brink of having an adrenaline crash and no one will buy his soul off him anymore because no one wants to piss off the new royals lol

Half asleep dumb DP AU/fic prompt idea where Fright Knight is a little more loyal to the crown, where he defiantly wants Pariah out cause he’s still in crazy mode and he can’t call Clockwork to come please sort your husband out, please.

He just wants ruler where not crazy thank you very much.

And then Reign storm happens and Fright Knight sees Danny defeating Pariah and realises this kid is now ghost king, well not technically cause he is a baby by ghost standards but the future king of the infinite realms.

Which leads to very confused Dany having to deal with getting home and having Fright Knight kneeling down pledging loyalty.

Danny’s reaction is a resounding … what?

Fright Knight starts explaining only to release kid has no idea he just become next in line to be king of the infinite realms, barely knows anything about the infinite realms. NO-ONE EXPALINED ANYTHING TO THIS KID, and the kid has just been using the learn by doing method with his powers.

Fright Knight is hyperventilating by the end like ‘HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE’

‘…I’m not I’m half ghost’

‘NOT WHAT I MEANT’

Fright knight begins actually teaching Danny about the infinite realm and ghost culture which leads to a lot of

‘Is that why they were trying to kill me?’

‘Yes, your highness’

As well as just totally starry-eyed wonder from Danny, Sam and Tucker, and Jazz. As they learn about t the actually lore of the ghost zone and ghosts and Fright Knight is really confused how the humans got SO much wrong.

Fright Knight becomes basically body guard of the portal with ghosts coming through seeing him and quickly noping out, and for others Fright Knight explains 1) Yes, the kid is your future king and 2) He literally did not anything AND it’s a big misunderstanding please stop trying to kill him.

Also Fright Knight notices Vlad being Vlad and is like…No not happening and is not letting him get close to Danny (Especially after Vlad finds out Danny is heir to the throne and realises if he adopts Danny then guess who becomes king regent)

When Fright Knight finds out about Dani and of course is like oh fuck no AND just scoops her up drops her Danny’s lap congratulations you have a sister.

Fright Knight decides that he need sot sort out power vacuum and get a regent before Vlad does something crazier, and cloning was already pretty fucking crazy. Fright Knight knows he can’t do it because making super Danny and his friends don’t get killed is a full-time job.

So he decides to get a bit of revenge on Clockwork at the same time and declares Clockwork will be acting as regent until Danny comes of age. Which of course leads to speculation after all normally only a parent would be regent (CW can be regent because technically Pairah is still sort of king and he’s his husband but the GZ doesn’t know that)

Thus leads the theory that Danny is Pariah and CW’s kid.

Fright Knight denies nothing. Next time CW better help out when his husband goes crazy.

CW really doens’t want to run the GZ but he likes Danny and Dani, also this makes adopting them way easier.

Danny is still confused.

What if after Danielle is stabilized, she goes to the ghost zone where through a series of adventures, she discovers that she is the ghost zone princess because Danny is the king by right of conquest. She is technically next in line to inherit the throne, provided that Danny is not overthrown also by conquest/ has no offspring of his own that come of age.

She goes through this amazing journey, first discovering the truth, then growing to understand what kind of princess she wants to be, and amassing a following of ghostly subjects after committing dangerous and grand feats of heroism that help her people and inspire them.

When she meets up with Danny again, much later, she’s become this elegant, shining armored, warrior princess, and Danny....

Had no clue he was king this whole time. No one told him. This is how he found out.

Thor might have preferred the lifestyle of a warrior, but he was still the next in line for the throne. That meant centuries and centuries of diplomacy studies. Such as how to show the proper amount of respect towards fellow royalty.

After all, ignoring a visiting crown could be perceived as a mortal insult. On the other hand, groveling at their feet would show an extreme weakness and open his realm to attack.

So yes, Thor had centuries of practice on how to treat visiting royalty. More often than not, a slow nod or bow of the head was more than enough.

When the young hero Danny Phantom entered the Avengers tower, Thor fell to his knees.

Nothing less would suffice for the King of the Infinite Realms.

When would Danny get to GR? The dude is so damn overpowered that its hilarious, even if he holds back, so imagine the Burns faces when they watch him lift the boys ship with a single hand and the brat says "oh, this? This weighs like a bunch of grapes lol". And when he tells them all his adventures and that he defeated the ghost version of Unicron on steroids and several minor deities.

What do you think of the "kid is next in the line for the throne by right of conquest because he made old peepaw Dark go to sleep once again"?

I’m writing the second chapter actually! The first chapter is being edited, I hope to post it on AO3 with my other fics by the end of the week! Hopefully that comes into fruition, if not, then within this month.

I can’t say much on when or how Danny gets to GR. All I can say though, is that it happens in the first chapter. Danny and Cody meet in the first chapter too and mysteries are put in place.

I am going to go the Ghost King route, but I won’t go into detail on how. ;3

Danny is an overpowered boy with great humor. But man, he can be such a dork with cringe fail action. Cody is definitely the most mature out of the two, but not by much. He tends to create trouble by his wants and actions when he doesn’t think things through. The Trash-compacter episode comes to mind. Danny does similar stuff.

They’re both nerds, have older red headed siblings, work as heroes, have some sort of relevant connections to royalty and pirates, fight machines, fight ghosts or ghost adjacent stuff, and both have friend(s) who are knowledgeable in things they’re not. The list can go on.

With that dynamic into perspective, here are my cute romantic hcs:

Danny, as Phantom, would often call Cody, “Boy Scout.” But as Danny, he would call Cody, “Codes.” Even before they get together, he calls Cody these names as a way to separate his ghost side from his living side. It doesn’t work, however. Because Cody would be like, “Hang on, how do you know I was as a scout? I don’t wear my sash everywhere I go… Wait, I recognize that hair cut!” Cody would notice that Danny is Phantom almost immediately. But he wouldn’t say anything and just roll with it. He’s seen some weird stuff, this wouldn’t be any different. Danny would also call Cody his Guardian Angel or Psychopomp due to how they met as a little inside joke. But the joke becomes real. The irony of the protecter spirit actually having a protector is funny to me. But this would go both ways.

Cody would a hundred and ten percent believe that Danny is an alien before finding out he’s a ghost. The entire Burns Family and the Docs would believe that as well. Even The Bots would think he’s some strange shifter species from space like them. Danny just happens to either be half alien, or an alien who grew up with human culture, those types of theories. So they brush off obvious signs of ghostly activity for a while. But Cody would be the first to know via Danny telling him. The angst would be obvious.

And just like Cody being the first to know, he would also be the first to gain feelings for Danny before Danny catches feelings for him. It’s a slow build, but he notices them and develops his first crush. He would act all shy, stutter occasionally, and doze off with a dreamy expression.

He would constantly think Danny’s eyes are brighter then Energon, would want to comb through his hair, and go on hikes to the top of GR and watch the stars with him. Heck, he would find a way to the stars with Frankie’s help.

His siblings would notice this immediately, since their love lives have been active since the dawn of time, especially Kade’s. And they would both get nervous and excited. The Bots would look on in confusion, but realize Cody is having feelings, and also get excited.

But hey! Cody’s the baby, so there will be plenty of, “Gah! No! Not the baby! He’s going through puberty! He’s gaining a crush! Oh the humanity! They grow up to fast! What do we do?” \TAT/

The Docs, Frankie, and Mr. Burns would be the only few to handle this with any form of maturity.

Danny would be slower in catching on. But he develops feeling not too long after Cody.

He would stutter too, doze off, but would still give Cody various pet names. However, where in the beginning he said certain names more sparingly, now he’s saying them ever time they hang out. Names like Angel, My Guardian, Soul Mate (I explained why in my last ask, but it’s because they have similar shoes but inverted), Sunlight, Capella, Aviator, the list goes on.

Danny would ask for hugs more often, and help around whenever he sees Cody doing something like cooking and junk. At first, he would ask if Cody needs help, but eventually he just does stuff with Cody without asking first. They get into a grove, chat, and be done with cleaning or fixing something very quickly.

Danny would start to make fudge, to, and give it to Cody as a gift. He would even tinker around and make machines to gift to Cody, like a mini telescope, a compass that looks old but is too advanced for any government to use, and various other items.

I want to say more, but I’m going to cap it off here. The want to speak is dwarfed by my want to show it all in the story.

Omg, Divinity is such a cool hero name for Peacock Danny! That was really amazing! I actually have one more admittedly self indulgent add on to the prompt if that’s alright. So Danny starts mentoring these kids, and it turns out he’s really good at it, but despite things going well he can’t help but feel uncomfortable by the awe stricken gazes they give him and how they cling on to every word they says. Danny is naturally confused why, because he’s nothing special right? Soon he decides to just straight up ask them why they seem to respect him so much, and Marinette goes on a spiel about how their kwamis told the duo about Danny’s exploits, how he’s beaten gods, how he almost made the ultimate sacrifice to re seal Pariah, and how he’s next in line for the throne. It turns out that the kwamis were bigger fans then Danny thought they were. What do you think?

HOHOHO (I am glad you liked Danny's Peackock name, I debated that one a lot, but I liked the name Divinity tying into the popular headcanon of Danny being the Ghost King, you know the drill-) But this is a really fun addition! I can imagine it going along the lines of this:

Ladybug and Chat Noir kept staring at him. And, okay, maybe Danny was thinking too much into this because he's trying to teach them how to break a hold and they need to see it to know what to do, but they're staring a little more intensely than really necessary. And they practically had stars in their eyes, and quite frankly, Danny was feeling a little overwhelmed. He couldn't think of a reason why they would looking at him so intently either, unless they were really interested in this lesson? But they kept looking at him like that even when he wasn't teaching anything at the moment.

Maybe Danny should just ask.

"Is there... any reason you keep looking at me like that?" Danny asked cautiously. In unison, the two younger teenagers tilted their heads to the side. "You know- The intense staring?"

Ladybug began to blubber out an excuse while Chat Noir just straight up asked, "Is that bothering you? Sorry, we can't help it!"

Okay, time to rephrase it then. "And why is that?"

"It's just- We had no idea you were such a veteran hero!" Ladybug explained now, and the brightness to her face reminded him so strongly of Tikki that he really wanted to coo. His core hummed happily in his chest at the thought, and Danny had to stuff it down harshly. He'd prefer it if he could look them in the eye after this.

Danny looked on as she continued, "Our Kwamis told us about your adventures through time and- Is it true that you defeated the equivalent of gods?"

"I wouldn't... call them 'gods', per se-" Danny began apprehensively.

"So you're not next in line to be the Ghost King?" Chat Noir inquired, his ears twitching on his head. So cute, Danny wanted to weep.

"I mean- technically-" Danny started again. That led to another round of awed gasps and questions from his two newest... protégés? Students? Danny didn't know what to call them anymore. He seemed to have gotten a pretty good handle of this mentor thing, and he could see an improvement in their performances against the akuma and the occasional amok, but it just felt wrong to take credit for all their hard work. Even when they profusely thanked him for their lessons.

Now Danny was beginning to wonder how much of it stemmed from the Kwami's stories of him.

He was going to have to talk to Tikki and Plagg after this.

It been a month and Charles was still fifteen, and they were still gone, and his father busied the young prince with meeting many well-known families around the world to see if their daughters, nieces, or even their granddaughters were well fit to be queen of their country – fit to be his wife. He didn’t care about any of them, not giving any of them his time of day as he sits boredly on his throne next to his fathers as Arthur tried to make conversation next to him to try and cheer him up. Pierre even joked that this was his favourite month of the year as he busied himself of making conversation with the girls of (or around) their ages. Charles was glad Pierre was happy, but he was quite the opposite as the one girl he wanted still hated his guts, and she was also the one girl his father wanted dead...she was also the same girl who hasn’t yet returned home. Charles Leclerc was fifteen and miserable and lonely and scared. It been two months and there were still not signs of them. His father was now busing him with more classes now that the girls has all gone home after the constant begging from Charles that he was still young and have more to learn – his father agreed, and it gave Charles time to think on how he could get out of the next time this would happen.

He tips her head like a dog at the window. The outside world is so interesting, and he is not part of it; just witnessing.

“You’re bleeding, Y/n.” Christopher’s hand brushes his cheek and Y/n copies the motion, her hand coming away bloody. “Oh.” She wipes her hand on her jeans. “It’s nothing, kid. Can’t even feel it.” It’s not a lie. She can’t feel the small cut on her forehead. It’s nothing compared to the sharp burn of the laceration on her back, or the persistent throbbing of her leg.

‘Smoking is a bad habit,’ Charles thought as he watched Y/n place the cancer stick between her lips, lighting the end of it with her lighter before taking a long drag, holds it, and then she turns her face to let out a long line of smoke, being considerate to not let the smoke be directly near Charles. ‘But man does she look good doing it.’

“Why did you punch that guy?” “He called you an idiot.” “Isn’t that what you call me on a daily basis too?” “Yes, because that’s what you are, but the world doesn’t need to know that.”

Charles shivered as the pair of them stood in the cold. "I swear it has never been this cold in Eynsworth before," his teeth cluttered together as he spoke. He glanced to his right at the sign of movement next to him. "What are you doing Y/n?" She pulled the jacket down the rest of her arm before gripping it into one of her hands and holding it out towards Charles. "Breaking those horrendous stereotypes."

“At least they can get my nose right,” she comments as she looks at Daniel’s wanted poster. “Unlike Danny’s.”

It was a simple comment, so simple yet it ruined Daniel. “You’re lucky that you’re always happy,” it repeats in his head whilst he clings to Y/n, holding her like she’s the air he needs to breath as he sobs in her arms. Yes, Daniel is always happy.

“Can you stand?” Charles asked. Y/n nodded shakily, trying to pull herself up onto her feet. Just as soon as she managed to get upright, her knees buckled. Y/n’s vision went blurry as she tried to grab the wall, or anything, really, to stop them from– Charles catches her before she hit the ground, helping Y/n to sit back down. “S-sorry,” she stutters “I-I-I–” “It’s okay,” Charles slips a hand under Y/n’s legs and another behind her back and picks her up easily. “It’s okay, I’ve got you.”

“So how does someone like you sneak into a charity even hosted by the richest man in the city?” “I’ll take that as your way of saying you couldn’t stop thinking about me since the last time we met.”

SPANKING ON TV #3

Flirting (1991) d. John Duigan

A six-stroke caning over pyjamas for Danny Embling by his Housemaster. At least one member of his dorm has already been dealt with; the rest are nervously lined-up outside the study. Later, the boys compare stripes after lights out. The film is set in Australia in 1965 and deals with the burgeoning romance between the socially-isolated Danny, who has a stutter, and Thandiwe Adjewa, a Ugandan-Kenyan-British girl he meets at a school rugby match. Between them they confront the authoritarian regime in their respective boarding schools.

The film is a coming-of-age melodrama and is a semi-autobiographical piece by the director. It’s the second in an intended trilogy that wasn’t completed. Noah Taylor who plays Danny also starred in the first film: The Year My Voice Broke (1987). It marks the film debut of Thandiwe Newton; Nicole Kidman is in it too, before Hollywood and mega-stardom.

The school is shown as a harsh, uncompromising place where the boys are caned regularly. They bully each other too, and Danny is frequently the butt of their jokes. Even his nickname mocks his stammer. His romance with Thandiwe is something of a revelation to them, then, especially when he sneaks her into the dorm and later hides her in the boys’ showers.

The Housemaster in particular is vindictive and sadistic. As well as the caning at the start of the film, he’s heard caning another boy during prep. It’s telling that he has to chalk his cane, which suggests he enjoys terrorising the boys and inflicting the pain of a caning but isn’t all that expert at it. He always gives out six of the best, too, which shows no discretion or understanding of justice.

The canings we see/hear are massively exaggerated, especially the audio. If a boy was beaten that severely in real life, I doubt he’d just get up and walk off with a nod to the next boy in line.

There is an ongoing joke of one boy, Green, saying or doing the wrong thing and being told to report to different teachers for a caning.

Despite being set in Australia in the 60s, the boys wear long grey trousers throughout, although some wear shorts for rugby and tennis.

Noah Taylor, Thandiwe Newton and Nicole Kidman are all still acting (fancy that). You might recognise Noah from Game of Thrones amongst other things. Thandiwe has won various awards, including a Best Supporting Actress BAFTA for Crash (2004) and an Emmy; she was made an OBE in 2019. Nicole, meanwhile, bagged a Best Actress Oscar and a BAFTA for The Hours (2003), and is also the recipient of two Golden Globes, an Emmy and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Noah was 21 when he filmed this. Australia ended corporal punishment in 1985, so it's not inconceivable that he was caned at school. I wonder if shooting these scenes brought back any memories?

New Beginnings

Fandom: Danny Phantom Prompt: White Crow Character: Danny, Clockwork, Lancer Words: 1,109 Summary: With Sam and Tucker out for the week Danny is having a tiring week. That is until Clockwork stops by and gives him some news Warnings: strong language

Danny was having an off day. An off week. An off month maybe even. He was having to fight ghost after ghost after ghost for the past week. He’s gotten no sleep and it’s been killing him.

Sam was off on some event her parents dragged her to while Tucker was visiting his uncle out of the city. It was killing him. While his two friends were excused from school Danny was stuck. Sleeping in class accidentally and missing school days. It was a lot, and he was struggling. The last time he struggled as much was possibly when he first got his ghost powers.

He knew that there was no way to fight it so instead he chooses to just yawn and make his way towards Lancer’s next class. He would have to work hard to stay awake since his two best friends were not here to take notes for him.

The plan did not work as well as he wanted it to, Lancer had to shake him awake, a worried expression on his face, so Danny wouldn’t be late to his next class.

“Is everything okay Mr. Fenton?” Lancer asked, he figured it was safe considering everyone else already left for their next class.

“Yeah. Everything’s fine Mr. Lancer. It’s just harder without Sam and Tucker here,” Danny shrugged off the old teacher’s worry.

“Well Mr. Foley and Ms. Manson will both be back before the end of the week is up. Is there a reason why you’ve been sleeping through my classes?” he crossed his arms. It felt like he was looking in Danny’s soul.

“No sir. I’ve just been working hard at some after school things. Sam and Tucker normally help me. It’ll be better once they get back. I’ll try not to fall asleep tomorrow. I promise!” Danny yelled at him, hearing the late bell ring, rushing towards his next class.

The day continued for Danny, skipping gym to take care of a few small blobs that found their way into the school. Last thing Danny wanted was for the small helpless blobs to set off the ghost alarms.

After school he quickly made his way back to his house, finding it empty, he untenanted the thermos into the portal.

He flew back up to his room, hopefully he could get some homework started before his patrol, or worse a ghost shows up before that.

An hour or two had to have passed when his ghost sense went off.

“Time in.” a medallion was placed over his neck. “Working hard young Daniel?”

“Clockwork? What’s wrong? Did Dan get out!” Danny was quick to change into ghost form, ready for a heavy fight.

“Calm down young one,” the ancient ghost chuckled. “I do not come bearing bad news,” He shifted from an adult to an older man.

“Then why are you here?” Dann took a seat at his desk once again, not changing out of ghost form.

“Well, I have an announcement to make.” Danny really didn’t want to deal with the older ghost dramatic pauses right now. “I pronounce you, Daniel Phantom, next in line for the throne of the Infinite Realms!” Danny could swear he saw a smile on Clockworks’s face, but he was to shock; flabbergasted.

“I’m sorry?” he said after two minutes of pure silence.

“The council has been fighting ever since Pariah was fully defeated. They’ve been looking to crown the next ghost and a decision had to be made,” He spoke as if Danny was the obvious choice

“No. Why me? I don’t deserve to be king! I don’t want to be king! What would I even do! No! Just No! Give it to someone else!” Danny was pacing around his room, not realizing that his feet were slowly leaving the ground.

“You defeated Pariah Dark. The choice was between Vlad or you and the council has made a decision. You were vouched for by Princess Dora, Pandora, Frostbite and many other ancients. I even gave my vote,” Clockwork informed him.

“Theirs’s a council? And they vouched for me?” Danny was truly surprised at everything that he was hearing.

“Like I said their were two candidates. Vlad or You. Frist the council had to narrow down their options for the throne. Next, they needed to be vouched for. With the two choices only one or two out of the entire council voted for Vlad. You won the majority rule. We are on the third step. I have informed you. This is where you make the decision to try for the throne. If you refuse then we go on to Vlad,” Clockwork spoke from memory.

“Okay so if I don’t accept it goes to Vlad and if I do then what?”

“Once you accept, we set up a meeting with the council. There you will go preliminaries and answer any questions. Once all that is done, if the council accepts you then you will be crowned as Prince until the council deems you worthy of a crown. After that you will be titled prince. A different ceremony will be set up for that, where you will receive the ring of rage. There is more after, but that is the step that you are talking about.”

“Do I have time to think about it?” Danny asked.

“I wish. Sadly, the time is only what I can give you here. Once I return it to normal the council will be waiting a decision. I know it’s a big one, but I would not be vouching for you if I didn’t believe in you,” Clockwork put a supportive hand on the younger ghosts shoulder.

“I’ll do it. I’ll became the next Ghost King,” Danny decided after a minute.

“I will alert the council of your decision. The road ahead is hard, but very much worth it. You will be a good king.”

“Did you see that in my timeline?” Danny rolled his eyes.

“The second you were nominated for king you timeline has been blocked from me. You’re future is fully up yo you. I’ll be letting you know when your first council meeting is. Until then you take care young prince,” Clockwork bowed, disappearing in a swirl of time.

Danny couldn’t believe his luck. He needed to tell Sam and Tucker. Needed to tell Jazz. He needed to finish homework. He needed to go on patrol.

But at that moment all he could do was see at his bed looking out of his window, a strange feeling forming in his stomach when he saw a white crow perched outside of his window, disappearing as if it was a trick of the light.

So I’m building a DCxDP crossover and I am just having such a hard time lmao! Seriously I have a plot in mind:

I was thinking about Ghost King/Prince Danny Fenton and I was just thinking about wouldn’t Vlad be trying to fight Danny for it? He’s obsessed with power and being Danny’s father in the show so what if I did some worldbuilding on my ghost lore and just decide that Danny is super duper OP like beat down on Superman OP and I was thinking wouldn’t that make Danny a Mary sue? Or not if I make Danny have a lot of flaws? Which I’m planning on doing anyway- like he enjoys horrible death puns, makes bad decisions, forgets his powers , or overall I could make him not like his royalty status at all and I could also make it where there’s an arranged marriage between Danny and a bat kid ? If so I would also make, lol I always want to do this, Kronos is Clockwork! Then I could also make him really a ‘manipulative’ little shit, but also make him a father figure… Also I love the fact of twink Danny Phantom can like lift 10 tons or more and just like manhandle anyone but he chooses not to cause he’s awkward and caring!! Would that make him a Mary sue? Cause I want to make him powerful-he has to be if he’s next in line for a throne. What do y’all think??

Oh look, a headcanon Game of Thrones AU that I swore I would never do… but here we are

And Jamie and Danny are here because I said so

House Rhaegalis was one of the great houses of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros

Lord William was the leader of his noble house, he was beloved by the people of the East but he also ruled with a firm grip that made them know to fear him

Everyone knew his weakness was his children

His five sons and his only daughter

The Winter Fever took his wife, the late Lady Madisyn when their youngest son Daniel was barely seven

A lot of people questioned young Wheeler's legitimacy when it was noticed that he had an olive complexion compared to the pale skin of his parents

The truth was that he was a legitimized bastard

His mother died in childbirth, and Lady Madisyn being gracious of the heart (and having just had a child pass shortly after giving birth) took him into their home and allowed him to carry his father's name, fully legitimized

Anyone who dared question young Wheeler's parentage was met with death, plain and simple

Lord William wanted his children to be happy, something rarely seen in fathers of Westeros

Usually, his sons would have been married off to highborn ladies and create heirs, furthering the Rhaegalis dynasty

And his daughter would've most likely been awarded to a high-ranking man and create heirs for him (after all his daughter had one of the largest dowries in the seven kingdoms next to Cersei Lannister and Catelyn Tully)

When Robert's Rebellion ended, Robert asked to be married to Lady Jamie instead of her cousin Cersei

Lord William said no

For one, he knew how Robert treated women

And two, because he knew his daughter would not be happy

Many suitors tried to win Lady Jamie's hand but most were scared off

if not by her, definitely by her brothers

She had once had a mutual attraction with a Dornish prince but her brothers quickly put an end to that

The one who faced the most pressure was definitely the eldest, Claudio

He was expected to marry and carry on the family line, especially as their father's heir

Bryan had always hoped to join the Kingsguard and serve the Mad King

He refused to serve the drunken fool known as Robert Baratheon

House Rhaegalis are Targaryen loyalists but out of fear of having their house destroyed by the Lannister forces, they joined the opposition

Jonathan wanted to drink Dornish wine and whore as much as he pleased, he wasn’t the heir or the spare he could do as he pleased

Wheeler and Daniel were usually following their brothers around or learning from their father

Jamie eventually snuck off the Essos to help guide the young Targaryen Khaleesi

The sudden disappearance of Jamie led many rumors to be spread that eloped with the Dornish Prince she fell in love with

Many songs were made about House Rhaegalis and they were a part of Westerosi history but that was it

There were no heirs and no living members left

So House Rhaegalis became part of the Reyne Legacy

Gone but not forgotten
