Cody: We can’t tell you because you’re not a member of the club. Fox: What club? Wolffe: The hating Fox club. Fox: …The kriff? I should be the leader of that club!

Oh, sorry about the tag @whymylifewrites! I’ve talked about the Crescent Dragon before here and here, but I am always happy to share more!
When I get to this fic, there are some things I am very much looking forward to exploring. Some of them are big things, but there are also lots of little things I can’t wait to write.
There’s Sith!Azula. She is going to be utterly terrifying, the perfect mix of unhinged and brilliant. Another is the clones getting to step up and lead their brothers in this war. The Jedi will step aside and let the clones do what they need to; the Jedi are just there for support, for the clones to direct. The brothers who will be leading this change are the Coruscant Guard, who for once, are saving everyone else’s butts.
Sokka continuing his mastery of the non-bending arts by learning how to rock a blaster and a jet pack, even getting his own Mandalorian armor. His totally wild but effective plans are a great match for the 501st. But unlike Anakin, he knows what it’s like to lead your family into battle. While he hasn’t lost any men under his command (yet), he is very aware of the cost of his plans.
Toph being an absolute beast against the battle droids and hitting it off with Wrecker.
Iroh being absolutely gutted by the death of Thorn.
Zuko trying to cover for some of the clones in the guard and being called short for a stormtrooper.
The Gaang coping with their first casualties.
So. Much. Tea.
Anakin doing absolutely nothing to bring balance to the Force, but not wrecking things either because Palps is dead. (Azula pretty much ruins his whole Chose One arc and gives the Force an existential crisis.)
Iroh lecturing people on how to run an army and wondering how they’re all not dead yet because he has experience.
Lots of Coruscant Guards vs the Gar angst as they completely bust the stereotype of being lame as they totally kick butt.
So many clones.
Yeah, it’s going to be great when I get to it.

HEAR ME OUT: Coruscant used to be Cybertron, therefore Star Wars is in the transformers universe. It is set during the Autobot Vs Decepticon War and is why there are no cybertronians and is why the planet has to keep building up, due to the toxins. We never see in TFP how humans react to Cybertronian atmosphere (As far as I can remember it’s just assumed and not actually tested) so it isn’t a super far stretch to say that they could have been fine with the air and that Megatron was just being dumb.
And considering the technology in Star Wars, it could be argued that they may have used cybertronian technology to help advance their technology. As for how they ended up there, humans could be from a space mission to test if humans can achieve faster travel like hyperspace gone wrong, at least that’s what Earth thinks, and it worked like it was on steroids which led to them crash landing on Cybertron. They then scavenged the materials for a distress beacon, someone worked but it didn’t send it to the right people, and that is how the rest of the galaxy was formed by by people just finding their way there through the humans distress beacon. The reason no one knows is because some dumbass accidentally pulled a Jar Jar Binks and somehow managed to destroy the building that the archives of what had happened were kept in, which destroyed many of the records and the few that survived were lost due to people being people and misplacing them.
THEREFORE, it is entirely possible to have the Coruscant Guard, maybe some shinies or even possibly Hound and Grizzer stumble across an old building ( can find due to chasing criminals or even just Grizzer being curious and wanting to go explore) which could be perhaps a temple for the Primes or the Iacon Hall of Records, and having being brought up as soldiers they would obviously report it to their supervisors, which would then go up the chain of commands to the commanders of the CG. Then Commander Fox and a few others ( possibly a few corries, GAR, and Jedi?) can go investigate and boom, now there is an entry point for TFP. Whether it’s they accidentally activate an old relic and someone is brought to or from somewhere, or whether they just activate a beacon and Team Prime and the Decepticons notice. But Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Transformers Prime Crossover.
Might add more later but words being that alphabet soup and no making sense no more :D
This shitpost was proudly brought to you by one tired ass monkey brain, owned by a stupid chaotic piece of shit who is having a nap at 3pm.

Assorted Clone-Related Headcanons
- A batch is a hundred clones, defined as such by the size of the Alpha batch. Their numbers are all in order, because the Kaminoans are unimaginative like that. -- Batchmate is an important social grouping. They're not as close as your cadet squad or your specialist training classmates, but it's the first major social connection a clone has. When they're still too little to be cadets, their classes, mealtimes, crechetimes, etc. are all organized by batch-grouping. -- A clone's *very* first social connection is their cribmate. Babies need touch to survive, and Kaminoans don't really like providing that themselves. So they put two of them in a crib together. The more clones the Kaminoans create, the less vital the cribmate system becomes; creche-time is a sought-after assignment for most older clones.
- Batchmate groupings are intentionally split up when assigning cadet squads. The Kaminoans figured that out from observing the interactions between the Nulls and the Alphas, so none of the later batches have ever had the opportunity to get as insular as the Nulls can be. -- While batchmates are never in their initial cadet squads together, accidents happen and sometimes someone gets assigned to a gap in a squad. Also, batchmates still tend to be in the same general vicinity as each other.
- Clones are tested for aptitude and ability their entire lives and funneled to where the Kaminoans deem appropriate. Given the ratio of Kaminoans to clones, and the Kaminoans (un)willingness to be hands-on with training the product, a trainer's assessment carries a lot of weight. -- Most Kaminoans would be mildly annoyed at the abuses this allows. That kind of thing is counter-productive to creating good product.
- The CC-batches went through more intense testing and assignments than the CT-batches, since they're expected to be officers. There are differences in ability between an officer who can command a company vs. a battalion vs. a legion. -- The more able a clone is considered for higher commands, the fewer batchmates are likely to be around. -- There are less than a dozen CC-clones that the Kaminoans deemed ideal for leading a corps. --- Gree and Fox are unique in being the only batchmates at that level. Most people don't actually think about this. --- The Kaminoans have done extensive non-invasive testing on both Gree and Fox to try to figure out how they managed to get two such capable clones out of the same batch, and why none of the other batches did the same thing. Neither of them have ever registered that they've been more extensively studied than many of the other CCs.
- Cody and Fox were neck-and-neck throughout training for who was the best of the CC-clones. The Kaminoans, who are very good at measuring and grading things to a particularly fine level, do not like it when people ask them whether CC-1010 or CC-2224 is better. -- As far as the Kaminoans are concerned, the plan was always that the best CC-clone would go to Coruscant as commander of a Coruscant Guard, which would act as the last line of defense for the Republic in the upcoming war. (If matters have reached the point where the Guard is needed, the Republic will clearly need the absolute best to see them through.) -- The Kaminoans had about reached a point of flipping a coin to decide which one of the two would go to the Guard when Obi-Wan showed up. In the general snarl after the Battle of Geonosis, when the GAR was officially getting up and running, Obi-Wan responded better to Cody than to Fox, so that was that. --- Both Cody and Fox think Fox got a little better scoring in politics or some shit.
- The Coruscant Guard was initially supposed to be an elite posting. -- Thorn and Stone are both at the top of the Kaminoans' rankings for "capable of leading a corps, but there are better" so they got assigned as Fox's sub-commanders/XOs. -- Most anyone who has been with the Guard since the beginning is very, very good.
- The Kaminoans keep detailed track of the casualty reports. Mostly it's to know what kind of training is needed most by a given company, but there are trends they've used. As the war has ground on and more clones are needed, clones that they would have decommissioned before would get assigned places like Krell's battalion. -- The observed trends with the Coruscant Guard fatalities have annoyed the Kaminoans because they could have designed better training and supplied different products if the Chancellor had told them what he actually wanted them for. --- The trends the Kaminoans have observed are also fucky because of the Guard's tendency to shuffle numbers around to protect people from decommissioning. -- As the war grinds on, the Kaminoans have shifted from sending the best to the Guard to sending clones that could be very good if someone knocked some sense into their head. Either Fox and his officers will do that, or the troops will get deaded, and the Kaminoans consider both options acceptable.

I love your Clone Social Media post! Do you think they'd ever film/post responses to the SW equivalent to the reddit advice threads like r/Relationships or r/AmITheAssh0le? Or would any of them (the medics maybe?) develop an Ask Column? I feel like the clones would have a unique world view and their personalities would lend to some hilarious (or amazing) advice going out on the holonet.
Definitely. Kix and the other medics probably start an ask blog crossed with WebMD, drowning in gallows humor
“‘How quickly can you amputate a leg?’ That depends, how close is the nearest Jedi’s lightsaber?”
“‘I can’t stop sneezing and I have a fever’—sounds like Rhinovirus, no known cure. Terrible shame, but you might live.”
Ponds runs an Ask Abby/Miss Manners ask column about clones and Jedi, with Mace as a reference for the Jedi and a popular guest for philosophical debate.
Gree makes sci-show vlogs about alien species and documents his brothers’ antics. Sometimes Bly makes guest appearances to talk science.
As for r/relationships and r/AITA, Wolffe co-admins both, with Bly on the former and Rex on the latter. Pretty much every AITA post is responded to with ‘yes’, either earnestly, or with blatant sarcasm for the ‘no’s followed by why it’s a no. While Bly has the rose-tinted glasses on for the relationship blog, Wolffe is that one perpetual single in every friend group who gives stone-cold logical advice.
Stone is on Space!youtube, explaining laws and their pros and cons, explaining loopholes and weird technicalities and the process of the Senate to pass laws, as well as updates from around Coruscant. It’s basically the SW version of Last Week Tonight.
Fox runs r/JustSenatorThings. He documents the antics and mannerisms of senators. He also answers personal questions.
“How often do I—hey, Thire! What’s this word?”
“How’s it spelled?”
“S-L-E-E-P.”
“FOX.”
“No, I know how to spell that.”
Thorn runs r/JustFoxThings. He documents the on-going war between the caf mug stack vs Fox’s paperwork.
There emerges Space!Insta, where GAR clone art is posted. Dogma posts foodporn, both actual food and GAR rations. “Here we see another beautiful nutrient stick. Full of 100% of a brother’s daily iron requirement and not a hint of flavor to be found.” He sneaks into the temple when the 501st is planetside to document the snack bar in the knights’ quarters. It’s only open odd hours and there is a single hotdog spinning, on and on, that none of the knights will even make eye contact with.
Toast clone runs a blog solely about different types of bread and his attempts at making them in the meager kitchens he has access to.
Wooley and Tup make hair tutorials, taking requests and experimenting on their own time. 212th and 501st meet ups are fun for them.
A space!reddit is made of Cryptid Commanders, made by their men finding said commanders up at force-forsaken hours getting caf, once of Bly hanging from the ceiling with the camera light reflecting off his helmet visor, and of Fox passed out in various ways around his office.
Space!Tiktok is sees a lot of Ahsoka and her men. Unfortunately Rex and Anakin are terrible at tiktok dances, so they’re usually her camera crew while Fives and Tup back her up; it starts a craze. Caleb (and eventually Depa) dance with Gray and their men, which means Mace and Ponds have to do something (classy of course, but it pleases the kids so Mace does it and will never admit to it being fun), Aayla and Bly look well rehearsed but claim they did it by mirroring the video reference they had on, eventually Ahsoka, Shaak, Aayla AND Luminara do one together. Quinlan does them just to annoy his commander; it works. The clones are more than happy to answer questions their followers send in as well, about themselves or the war, about anything. They like giving civilians the chance to see them in a better, individual light than dime a dozen flesh droids.
There begin r/JustCloneThings where brothers post about specifically clone related jokes and issues, and r/JustJediThings, where they post about their Jedi. (When your Jedi says the drop zone failed the vibe check.) (Won’t sleep for more than ten minutes but will meditate for four hours because the Martial Commander smiled.)
(If you suspect your Jedi knows Mando’a, switch to complete gibberish and see if they react at all. Feel free to make up hand signs to mess with them.)
Then come the proud big brother postings about their Jedi commanders, the good ole Mandalorian genes making the men gush over their respective kids when it’s safe to do so. The kids making progress in their training, and some have the honor of seeing their commanders knighted and made generals. They teach the little ones to track and lay low, how to shoot straight and wield vibroblades when they’ve grown some. Sometimes just the kids being cute, like Caleb napping against Depa, or Kal riding his master’s shoulders, and Ahsoka snuggling between Anakin and Rex on a long flight. ‘Doting grandmaster’ is a popular tag thanks to Mace and Obi-wan; Caleb and Ahsoka get away with things Depa and Anakin would’ve been severely grounded for, and the clones love watching them steam in the background while their padawans are protected by said doting grandmasters.
Note: the cursed hot dog is a joke between my roommate and I. Upon learning the knights’ snack bar existed, we determined it was only open for ten minutes at 2 am and that there’s a magical enigmatic hot dog amongst the misfit food (cotton candy jello, broken granola bars). It guards the temple and anyone who takes it and eats it gets super sick, and the hot dog is magically whole back in its case, ever rolling, on and on. It’s not meat, probably. No one’s sure, especially not the ones who attempted to eat it. Respect and fear the hot dog. It is eternal.

I kinda have the hc that the only regs the Bad Batch tolerate/like are the Coruscant Guards.
Even though they are very different in how they function (must follow the rules ALL THE TIME vs "what are rules? lmao")
They have bonded over the shared differences from the rest of the GAR (no Jedi general, too different from the rest of the clones but too clone-y¿? to be accepted by the nat borns, etc.)
IDK I just think they could get along in the most unexpected way.

Imagine an AU where there is no Order 66. Tup and Fives would still be alive, Kix wouldn't have been kidnapped, Rex, Wolffe and Gregor wouldn't have removed their chips and moved to a desolate planet. What would their lives have been like? Would they have fought for freedom? Been kept on for protection for the Jedi and the Senate? Who would've left to start a family? Would anyone follow Jango Fett and become bounty hunters??
That sounds like a wonderful AU. We need a name for it. I guess what happens to the clones depends on how the war ends, if it doesn’t end with Order 66. I suppose once Grievous and Dooku are dead, the droids are shut down and the Republic wins (hopefully with Palpatine out of the picture, but maybe not).
It sounds like a big problem, but there aren’t actually that many clones compared to say, the population on Coruscant (3 million clones vs. 1 trillion people? or something like that). So finding them new employment and places to live wouldn’t be impossible. I’m sure a lot of them would stay on as law enforcement, since it’s familiar to what they used to do.
Ooooh I think Fives definitely would leave. Rex too. Even if the inhibitor chip arc didn’t happen, after Umbara they were pretty disillusioned with the GAR. Others from Umbara might leave with them too. I think Kix would become a civilian doctor, or he might stay on with treating his brothers in the Coruscant Guard. Jesse would go with him (I can’t see those two apart at all). They’d find Echo too, since the Separatists lost, and Fives and Echo would be reunited. Gregor would also be discovered, and his brothers would insist on him getting away from that horrible planet and staying with them.
I can’t see Wolffe wanting to leave Plo for any reason. He’d find an excuse to trail his Jedi, even if it’s just as Plo’s personal “bodyguard.” And of course, that means Wolfpack will be around too. They’d probably adopt the Jedi Temple as their new “territory” and find a way to be employed protecting it. The younglings, of course, are big fans of the Wolfpack, and the clones bring a lot of life and energy to the normally stuffy temple.
I bet more than a few of the clones would become bounty hunters. Which would be awesoooome. I imagine Boba wouldn’t be thrilled about that.
And Obi-Wan would beg and plead with Cody to stay on as his advisor, because the man would have gone insane without him during the war.
