ao3 wrapped: 17, 18, 19 🤠
(and don't think I didn't notice that tag 👀)
ILOVEYOUUUUUUUUU
17. Your favorite character to write this year?
oh man sex worker Connor from Detroit Become Human has been a fucking blast!!!! I love how much he's changed and grown since the fic began <3
Chaotic bisexual Eddie Munson has also been ALOT of fun and finishing You Know What They Say About Assuming was such a huge personal goal for me
18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?
Honestly getting back into the headspace for Draco in Silence Isnt Golden has been a challenge. I think because its tied heavily with my own lows during 2020 and as my therapist pointed out today, I love to talk about my problems without addressing them 😩🤦‍♀️👀 so getting back into that space may take a little longer than expected
19. What’s one pairing you want to explore next year?
hahahaha well, im p sure im gonna buy Baldur's Gate 3 if I can afford it for xmas, so you can probs expect lots of Astarion fics. I also need to rewatch OFMD and maybe finally start writing for that fandom. stedexedxizzy and izzyxlucius are my baes
ao3 wrapped ?'s
also what are you talking about 😇👿👿

TAG PEOPLE YOU WANT TO GET TO KNOW BETTER !
Repost don’t reblog.
I answered these from bottom to top so uuuh some of my sentences may sound confusing oof. Was not thinking. One of my cats keeps jumping everywhere and then I stare and forget what I'm doing. Ok anyways I was gonna write something here but now I forgot. Shit. Imma remember at like 3 am and then get annoyed because I already answered this, just watch. Well actually I'll probably keep it to myself so nevermind oof.
FAV COLOR(S): Blue as my default but sometimes pink is, or purple, or orange...this also varies on mood >.>
FAV FLAVOR(S): I have no idea, depends on my mood. I'm also not hungry right now so I'm blanking out. Can I get uuuuuuh a little consistency from myself? XD
FAV GENRE(S): Angst with some light-hearted/cute moments here and there, uuuh everything else is negotiable tbh
FAV MUSIC: Depends on my mood, at the moment whatever genre Eyes on Fire is supposed to be. I don't know, I just download things I like XD
Update: Save Yourself by Kaleo came on while I was answering this so it's that genre now
FAV MOVIE(S): Small Soldiers, Lion King 2, Yu-Gi-Oh DSOD, probably other things I'm forgetting
FAV SERIES: Yugioh at the moment as far as shows go, Detroit Become Human and Sly Cooper as far as games go, Warriors (yes, the cat books) as far as books go
LAST SONG: Little Red Riding Hood by Sam The Sham And The Pharaohs (as of when I started answering this)
LAST MOVIE: Wendell & Wild in November >.>
CURRENTLY READING: Uuuh fanfics I've been intending to read for...way too long XD
CURRENTLY WATCHING: Rewatching Yu-Gi-Oh DM, but like...I haven't actually watched it in over a month. My attention span is /short/. I usually just put YouTube on for background noise >.>
WORKING ON: Like 3 events, but one is a personal challenge. Also working on drafts and debating on clearing some and just starting fresh but I also wanna keep the threads, but also the ones from a certain time are hard to do because of stuff that was going on aaaah >:[
Tagged by @luckyredeyes @silver-blooded-synthetics
Tagging: No one because I'm late as hell on one of these, but feel free to steal.
November 28, 2022 was when I first got this from luckyredeyes aaah sorry!!! Or when I drafted it idk. Like drafted their reply to remember to do it but then I forgot. >.>

Thank you for the tag @seraphtrevs!! It's tag game time!
Three ships: Sam Wilson/Steve Rogers (marvel/mcu), Connor/Markus (detroit: become human), Clay/Peril (wings of fire)
First ship: I think the first real ship that I read fics for was Percy/Annabeth (PJO)! I still care about them a lot, top tier couple, and it's great how they only started dating in the last pjato book!
Last song: at the time I drafted this post - Milk by Jack Stauber (may or may not be making an edit c:), since then We are the Champions by Queen
Last movie: The Untouchables! I haven't seen it fully before, it's a really good movie.
Currently reading: Embarrassing to admit but it's still the Hobbit which I started back in september... I can never find the time to move further than a few pages.
Currently watching: Right now, nothing, but long-term TV show-wise, it's The Sopranos. Most recently I've been watching Malcolm in the Middle for comfort and rewatching Breaking Bad. Oh and I watched one episode of Queen's Gambit. Looks really interesting so far.
Currently consuming: Nothing, but it's gonna be some sort of pizza bread.
Currently craving: To pass all my upcoming exams [fear] 😔
I'm tagging: @theannoyingknowitall @frolicinq @dragofelid @whotheheckitheheck @reebmiester @begrudginglygrey @romanovv @izzythehutt and anyone who'd like to do this!! :) Also don't feel pressured to do it if I tagged you, have fun!

Android! Victor Grantz, Andrew Kreiss, Luca Balsa, & Edgar Valden Headcanons (separately)
Headers' art via Identity V Official Twitter
{Headcanons/Scenarios}
ft. Human! Y/N
Note// Drabble! This is what happens when I rewatch Detroit Become: Human Gameplays- hhhh
___
Tumblr media
Victor’s model is most likely either an animal caretaker, house companion, or an android postman.
It would be interesting that out of other models, there’s one model that is actually selectively mute-
Service smile 24/7, you don’t even know whether it’s a sincere one or not-
Programmed specifically for the deaf, since he always has a tablet with him or sign language programming as communication.(any citizen can buy this model tho)
Cute sight when seeing him silently looks at a puppy wag their tail at him-
When deviating, his smile becomes forced at first and becomes more anxious than normal.
Possibly the type of deviant who knows how to act like an android to owner and still stays at home while also questioning his existence behind the owner’s back until the owner finally realizes-
Becomes a little reliant with trust if the owner accepts him as an individual,,, But now he has to leave to find other people like him,,, 🥺
___
Tumblr media
Andrew’s model can be an Android gardener, that's all I'm going to say for now-
He looks shy by the gloomy appearance, but he wouldn’t hesitate to talk to you or assist you as his owner.
When deviating, Andrew would look more anxious and may twitch once in a while unconsciously.
How he got scars on his face? He got it from his previous family who bought him- You brought him in after finding him in some grass field that is outside a neighborhood, fiddling with flowers on his gloved hands in a trembling manner.
One flower being stepped on, he’ll look super terrified and alarmed for the little plant djjdjdjdjej-
Less likely to get out and find other deviants like him, as he prefers to be more isolated from anyone.
___
Tumblr media
Luca,,,, Would possibly be an android that helps mechanics and knows how to treat damaged machines, his alternative model can be also an android electrician.
When new, he doesn’t have the purple eye.
Slight angst thing is that some models can get into accidents while performing tasks(that’s how one can get a sever damage on one eye-)
Inventors became amazed when one of his models was able to create electricity out of a self-made prototype-
Most likely would deviate earlier than the other boys-
When deviating, one of his eyes twitch and become more talkative and bubbly like.
Most likely gets imprisoned before even attempting to escape-
___
Tumblr media
Edgar’s models would be either android painter, or android who helps at an art museum(like giving tourists and guests tour guides and spilling facts about portraits-)
Always wears a blank look ‘-‘)
Icy blue eyes staring at nothing when idling.
But if he ever deviates, he becomes grumpy and more solemn once he becomes self aware.
His first sign that he deviated is that he started to paint some bird flying in the sky voluntarily or even asked if he can paint you,,,,
But not only that, he starts to get an unpredictable style of painting rather than just copying a perspective realistically-
If his owner, the one who owns the museum, is actually a kind person and doesn’t neglect him, his way of becoming a possible deviant won’t be very aggressive.

I’m probably going to have to re-watch the first episode to properly collect my thoughts, but a few things off the top of my head about S3E1 (and btw my tag for this will be #spark watches misfits [liveblogging]; for anyone who wants to blacklist it):
- I like that we have a clear antagonist. I sort of hate it was the blonde one (IDR her name oops) because I thought she was cute, but oh well.
- I don’t mind Rudy so far? He’s a bit gross but really no grosser than Nathan imo and I’m actually kind of interested in picking apart his “splits” for the lack of a better term. I think it’s interesting to see his confident side and his insecure side, and how they argue, and it’ll be fun going forward thinking about what that says about his personality as a whole. For now, though, I’m neutral.
- It does feel quite a bit obvious that they’re trying to fill a Nathan-shaped hole. I’m not saying they’re the same (Nathan and Rudy feel like completely different characters to me) but when the similarities come out, I feel like they come out in a way that feels less like “this is Rudy” and more “this is a line of dialogue we’ve thrown in because we know Nathan was one of the most popular on our show and we want to please those fans”...? If that makes sense? It’s not a bad thing, necessarily, it just feels... IDK. Glaring. But I may have to restate once I re-watch this episode with a clearer head and a more critical eye.
- Simon’s glow up is nice. I like that his butterfly collection is now in his flat. I also really appreciate how he tried to make Alisha feel better. It was nice, too, to see that he’s still a little bit awkward.
- 10000% think Simon stole the “Pussy Meister” story from Nathan.
- I like that they used Nathan’s wheelchair idea again to sneak out the bodies. Hurt my heart a little, I miss him, but that was a nice touch that made me laugh.
- I’m still not crazy about them all selling and getting new powers. Simon’s foresight (???) is cool, though. Him using it to figure out if he could make a jump while training gave me Detroit: Become Human vibes haha
Overall, that was a lot to process in one episode. I’ll rewatch and maybe write a better review tomorrow. I miss Nathan, but I’m excited to see how the rest of the show plays out!

30 days of Autism Acceptance: April 7th 2020.
Talk about autism in the media.
Do you think that autism is typically portayed well? Rarely. We are either shown as incredibly smart, or as very high support. There is no in between. There are a few shows with autistic characters which i enjoy despite problems in portrayal.
Is there anything you'd like to see more of when it comes to autistic representation?
I would like to see more of the actual autistic traits, like stimming, meltdowns, shutdowns, etc. But i would also like to see autistic people not being a burden.
Who are your favorite autistic characters?
Sam Gardner from Atypical
Christian Wolff from The Accountant
Jake Bohm from Touch
Billy Cranston from Power Rangers.
I like these characters because i relate to something in all of them.
Sam's love of penguins, his stimming and meltdowns.
Christian's routines, OCD tendencies and zoning in on his tasks.
Jake being non/semi-verbal and his love of writing patterns in a notebook.
Billy's social awkwardness and learning to be brave.
Do you have any headcanons?
I do have a few, some of which may seem random as they show only a few traits.
Four from the Divergent series
Jasper Hale from Twilight
Connor from Detroit: Become Human
A few others.
My reasons are:
I think Four from Divergent is autistic as his face is very hard to read sometimes and his voice can be monotone. This isnt a bad think but it is something that has been commented on to myself and my friends who have autism.
Jasper from Twilight is a relatively new headcanon of mine as i recently rewatched twilight and started thinking that he is Semi-verbal, and seems to avoid eye contact with anyone but the cullens and sometimes bella.
Lastly, Connor from D:BH. He is socially unaware, like when Hank says "you know where you can stick your instructions?" and connor replies "no, where?". Or the way he analyses things before a conversation so he knows how to talk to someone.
Autism needs to be better represented in the media, as the media greatly affects people's views of autism. We do not need to be seen as Rain Man, or as Sheldon Cooper. We aren't all high support, and we aren't all geniuses. We are diverse, just as everyone else is.

Hey everyone, please call me Leo! I’m 18 years old, female, and have 5+ years of roleplaying/writing experience. I’m looking for roleplayers around my age (16-25 preferable) who can match my style. Bonus points if you can satisfy my canon x OC desires!
A bit about me before we get into it. I’m trying to build my career as an artist with roleplaying as more of a side hobby so please understand when I’m not able to respond to our roleplay right away! I’m in the Mountain Time Zone and I’m usually active on Discord but not every hour of the day as I usually have things to do from 11am to 2pm on many days.
Now onto the main event!
♡ Writing:
I prefer to write in a third-person past-tense perspective and I’d like for my partner to do the same. I like to make my starter lengthier than the rest of my responses (4+ paragraphs), while my average response length is 2-5 paragraphs. If it’s your roleplay idea, I’d appreciate if you’d start and I’ll try to do the same if it’s my idea.
♡ Genres & Fandoms:
I’m not too picky when it comes to genres and am actually open to trying new things. However, I do prefer roleplays with more action, drama, and angst to them in order to keep the plot interesting. While mature content is more than welcome, I don’t want it to be the main point [especially if that mature content is smut]. The story and characters come before all else!
Sci-fi, cyberpunk, supernatural, crime, and fantasy are my go-to genres most of the time. I’m very very open in terms of settings [especially when it comes to Japan] and I love a good crossover or just using a character outside of their universe.
Here’s also a list of some fandoms I may be able to roleplay:
Berserk [manga]
Brand New Animal
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba [manga]
Detroit: Become Human
Devils’ Line [manga]
D.Gray-Man [manga]
Dr. Stone [manga]
Fire Emblem Awakening
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Fullmetal Alchemist [manga]
GANGSTA. [manga]
Gantz [manga]
My Hero Academia [not caught up past season 3]
Mystic Messenger
Little Witch Academia [rewatching]
Persona [only watched 4 + done a bunch of research]
Promare
Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse
The Legend of Zelda
♡ Characters:
When it comes to characters, I'm very not picky. I'll play as a guy or a girl, gay or straight, any race, whatever. My partner is free to do the same.
I prefer not to play as canon characters unless I know them well enough, which is quite rare, but I have no problem if my partner does. I will also not play as or with an anthro character unless that anthro character looks almost indistinguishable from a human aside from some key features (Izutsumi from Delicious in Dungeon) or they are a werewolf or some other shapeshifter (Beastmen from Brand New Animal).
♡ Current Cravings:
For this section, it’s just made up of characters because I’m very into OC x canon ships at the moment but it doesn’t have to be romantic [especially in the case of Senku or Guts]!
Characters -
Connor From Detroit: Become Human
Keigo Takami From My Hero Academia ♡
Guts From Berserk
Worick Archangelo and/or Nicolas Brown From Gangsta. ♡
Senku Ishigami From Dr. Stone
Zen From Mystic Messenger
Remi Puguna From Promare
Claude Von Reigan From Fire Emblem Three Houses
Priam From Fire Emblem Awakening
Kyojuro Rengoku From Kimetsu No Yaiba
Lavi or Yuu Kanda From D.Gray-man
Asra or Muriel From The Arcana ♡
Shirou Ogami From Brand New Animal ♡
♡ Contact Me Here:

My Choices:
Yuri!!! On Ice
Detroit: Become Human
Bungou Stray Dogs
Hannibal
Buzzfeed Unsolved
who’s your favourite character from 1?
Yurio’s grandfather
who’s your least favourite character in 2?
Richard Perkins. My favorite scene was when Hank just knocked the socks off this man.
what’s your favourite episode of 4?
Episode 6 of Season 1 - Entree
what’s your favourite season of 5?
The Supernatural season. I’m kind of into True Crime, but there’s something about the Supernatural seasons that get my goat every time. I think it’s because the most iconic Shane Madej lines have been uttered in those seasons and in some ways, those seasons feel more memorable to me. I love rewatching the episodes.
what’s your favourite couple of 3?
O D A Z A I
what’s your favourite couple in 2?
Ralph and Kara would feel like a sweet couple to me. I’ve had thoughts where they ran away together with Alice and started a new life up in Canada. Or, at least they tried until they were chased by CyberLife!Connor and Ralph sacrifices himself so that Kara and Alice could be free. Ralph holds off Connor for as long as he can and being a survivalist android, he’d put up a really good fight. He knows where it hurts on an android and he gouges into those places to slow Connor down.
what’s your favourite episode in 1?
Episode 3 I guess?
what’s your favourite episode in 5?
The Demonic Curse of Annabelle the Doll
what’s your favourite season in 2?
I like the Hank and Connor and finding deviants season.
how long have you been watching 1?
I watched in 2016 when it premiered and I never touched it again.
how did you get into 3?
I recently got into it in 2019 when someone I knew I was reblogging fanart for it. I originally heard about the show and watched a few episodes a few years ago. Decided to pick the show back up and watch it for reals this time. More than a year later, I’m still here and making content for it. BSD is an acquired taste. You kind of have to know what you’re getting yourself into before you can enjoy it for what it is.
favourite actor in 4?
Caroline Dhavernas. She’s the actress for Alana Bloom.
which do you prefer? 1, 2, or 5?
SInce I’m still keeping up Buzzfeed Unsolved, #5 all the way! I enjoy being a passive fan for that show and supporting the content creators in the fandom.
which show have you seen more of, 1 or 3?
Considering that BSD has three seasons, a manga, several light novels, an alternative manga, AND a MOVIE, I’ve seen, read, and breathed a lot more BSD content than stuff from Yuri!!! On Ice. The only thing YoI has on me is that I got into the fandom when I was young so I had more time to devote to writing for it. But music-wise and definitely the complexity of the stuff I’m doing now, BSD takes the cake.
if you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
Realistically, I’d be a background character. I would like to be one of the guests that eats one of Hannibal’s exquisite dishes.
would a crossover of 3 and 4 work?
HELL YEAH.
Oda would be a retired officer at the academy, teaching students and balancing his time between taking care of the kids he’s adopted and going through physical therapy to recover from a nasty knife wound he got a few years ago. When he gets a call from Ango that there’s a serial killer on the loose, Oda knows he’ll be forced to confront one of his demons. It makes sense to him on why Ango called. After all and before he retired, Oda was tasked in capturing a notorious serial killer. A killer named the Marionette, a foul and sharp-mouthed man who could twist anyone with his words and gauze. After hearing from Ango that a recent serial killer has been copying the Marionette's style, Oda comes to terms that he may have to work with the man that nearly killed him if Yokohama is going to be safe.
When Oda descends to the bowels of the Department of Special Abilities, he hardens his breaths and his resolve as he comes face to face with none other than Dazai Osamu. The man, the killer, circles around his cell block and his smile is as disarming as the one he wore before he carved into Oda with a knife. The bandages are gone. There’s nothing to hide. There’s nothing that Dazai can get a hold of to hurt anyone or himself. And yet, Oda doesn’t come any closer. Knowing just how dangerous it’d be if he took one more step.
An old shame riles him up. He hates to admit that he used to love this man, that he’d do anything to have him smile or laugh or feel carefree, to feel those cold fingers laced around his own, or how he loved it when Dazai talked about chaos and philosophy. How much of that was a hoax? Oda doesn’t know. He hates to admit that even after all this time, some part of him still yearns for Dazai. Some part of him misses this vile, conniving, and ruthless creature. But when Dazai looks at him with those soft eyes and says his nickname like its candy in his mouth...oh, Oda knows just how dangerous Dazai can be.
It doesn’t help that Dazai’s wearing a Cheshire grin or that he’s slowly dragging Oda forward. Not even with strings, but simply with his lips. In how he speaks and his words are just as dangerous as a knife could ever be.
pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple?
I can’t think of anyone.
overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5?
Buzzfeed Unsolved.
which has better theme music, 2 or 4?
The music in Detroit: Become Human is pretty good

Looking Back: Grosse Pointe Blank
You Can Never Go Home Again, Oatman
There may be no greater '90s action coming-of-age nostalgia mid-life crisis black comedy than Grosse Pointe Blank, and that is somehow not damning with faint praise. Indeed, the indelibly '90s trappings (dial up internet! car phones! shoulder pads and pant suits!) adds a second layer of nostalgia amongst the '80s callbacks; the action is sparse, in a good way, as characters take realistic damage and fight like...well, humans, not steroidal supermen hamstrung by a PG-13 rating (or, for that matter, goring it up to justify an R); the comedy is (mostly) not dated, and relies on recognizable human responses (if your high school flame deadpanned “I'm a professional killer,” wouldn't you assume he was joking?).
Grosse Pointe Blank operates from a doozy of a tagline premise: hit man Martin Blank (John Cusack) returns to the titular suburb of Detroit the weekend of his ten year high school reunion, with a job in the offing. While reconnecting with his long-ago-stood-up prom date Debi Newbury (Minnie Driver, whose improbably cool hometown job as a radio DJ delivers the pitch-perfect soundtrack of '80s classics), he circles around a rival (Dan Aykroyd), a mystery man (Benny Urquidez), two G-men (Hank Azaria and K. Todd Freeman), and a few old friends (most notably a pre-hairpiece Jeremy Piven). His secretary and Gal Friday, a hilarious Joan Cusack, teases and prods, while his therapist (Alan Arkin) despairs of ever shaking his murderous client. The screenplay by John Cusack, Tom Jankiewicz, D.V. DeVincentis and Steve Pink crackles along, balancing Breakfast Club-type high school reminisces with shoot-'em-up action and a refreshingly tart romance; George Armitage's workaday direction stays out of the way and lets the sharp ensemble carry the film.
Throughout, the sense of the world permeates, as Martin's demons evolve and resettle in his old home town. Grosse Pointe itself is an invaluable extra cast member, as the height of the Clinton years holds the decline of Detroit at bay, and the suburb reads now as the last gasp of the 20th century American Dream. When Martin sees his old buddy's BMW and cracks “In Detroit?! That's sacrilege!”, it acknowledges the town's glory days are in the past – the folks around here just haven't caught up yet. When Martin visits his old house to find it replaced by a convenience store, it's a kind of canary-in-a-coal-mine commentary on the cynical corporatism that would bloom with catastrophic results in the new millennium.
And then there's the violence. In a pre-Columbine, pre-9/11 world, the idea of an 18-year old kid disappearing on prom night and becoming a hit man seemed oddly romantic. “I'm a loaner, lone gunman...I like the image, look at the way I dress!” – Martin is a symbol of white, male American hubris (who cares about all the people he's killed, as long as he finds himself along the way), but an oddly sympathetic one, as he sees the world with a clarity lacking in those who extoll the ideals of freedom and democracy while turning away from the dirt done in their name. Martin has seen the ocean on fire in the Persian Gulf, has killed the president of Paraguay with a fork, is on his way to whack a whistleblower: he does the dirt, and when his moral compass kicks in (albeit belatedly), he bails hard, guns a-blazing because that's how he has learned to deal with things. While lacking truly tragic consequences, the moral bankruptcy on display lends a surprising poignancy to Martin's little lost boy returned home. His oft-stated maxim that “if I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there” is a cop out, but at least he eventually realizes it.
Perhaps the key to it's impressive staying power is in its solid execution of a concept that was the norm back in 1997: a self-contained universe that existed within just one film. Rewatching Grosse Pointe Blank, one is struck by all the lore that is alluded to, but never explored, because it doesn't have to be to tell the story. Martin and Grocer banter about past scuffles and snafus, but not as a setup to a prequel already on the release schedule – it's just because they're old frenemies with history. A weary Dr. Oatman spools out his and Martin's backstory with a weary repetition, because in the film's world, he has argued this many times before. Most importantly, Cusack and Driver radiate chemistry and slide right back into their arrested high school courtship, while learning about each other's intervening decade along with the audience. It's not part of a continuous cinematic universe, but a snapshot into a world created just for this film. When the closing monologue plays over credits, it's not a setup for something coming soon to a theater (or device) near you: it's a capstone to a rollicking caper carried on able shoulders.
It's the kind of movie that isn't made anymore, at least not with A-list actors and a solidly mid-size budget. It's not a self-serious Message Movie, nor a dumb action romp; it is tied to it's time in a way that still resonates, rather than dating poorly. As a chronicle of just how close the rot was to the surface in the seemingly-invincible United States of the '90s, you could do worse, and you would likely not be quite as entertained. You can't go home again, but at least you can shoot it up.

on your AO3 account you have around 25 fics which are currently unfinished. I was just wondering how many of these were discontinued? You don’t have to give an in depth answer if you don’t want to, I was just curious. Also all of your works are really good and I can’t wait to read more!
You pose a good question. And I kinda want to do an indepth answer? If for no other reason, than to kind of go over them myself? And I’m glad you like my writing :)
Role Reversal - Supernatural - Discontinued
This one (and probably most of these ones I’m going to start with) are pretty much discontinued. I have just no drive or interest in continuing it. If I ever did, I’d want to start it completely over, since the writing is just so old. Like, wow, five years old at this point. This fic inparticular, I had better ideas for it after I had published it. At this point I’m keeping it around for like posterity’s sake.
From Heaven to Earth - Supernatural - Discontinued
This one is discontinued as well. It was an interesting fic, but I had no idea where I was really going with it.
Wiccans Don’t Use Rifles - Supernatural  - Discontinued
I kinda like this title, but this fic is definitely discontinued. I had no idea what had caused this weird thing to happen in the timeline. It’s like a fic I would’ve liked to read, but didn’t know how to write.
More Than One - Sonic the Hedgehog - Discontinued
I actually had way more of an idea of the plot for this one than I did the previous four, but I just lost steam on it and grew dissatisfied with my own portrayls of the characters. Also I think there was maybe another chapter that I head meant to post but never did? And that’s always annoying :P Also I hate the name and summary.
Strangers of the Woods - Homestuck - Discontinued
Uhuh, no no, not a huge fan of this one. I don’t really like the plot anymore, or how I was executing it, and I definitely think I could’ve done much better work. I used to really like the plot, but now I’m just kind of embarressed about it.
The Monsters Came - Undertale - Discontinued... probably
This is one of those fics that I could see myself writing another chapter to years later, if I’m ever really bored or have a really good idea how to portray the inegration of monster and human culture and stuff, but honestly it’s probably not going to update again knowing me
Galaxy’s Mightiest Guardians - Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy - Eternal Hiatus
By ‘Eternal Hiatus’, I mean that maybe maybe maybe in a distant future, I’ll update it, or if I like watch Gotg 3 and get excited I might write another chapter. I really liked the whole language barrier going on, but I just have too many things to work on to try and figure out what to do with the plot
Gemstone Tutor Reborn - Katekyo Hitman Reborn - Discontinued, sadly
I love love love gem aus, especially art and stuff for them. And I guess that my ideas for this just didn’t go far enough away from canon to make me happy with it. But I still love it, even though I know I’m probably never going to update it.
Flower For Your Thoughts - Katekyo Hitman Reborn - Kinda Finished Actually?
I should really change this one form 3/? to just 3/3. If I ever want to update it, I can and will, but i’m pretty satisfied with the three chapters i’ve written for it. Thsi is one of the fics I’m really proud of, and I love this way lesser used soulmate au
Virtuous - Fullmetal Alchemist - Eternal Hiatus
Another fic that met it’s death due to the fact that I didn’t plan the plot enough. I did know that I wanted there to be seven ‘virtues’ but choosing the characters and figuring out, like, the rest of the fic just never happened. I still love the concept of it though
A Doggone Mess - Youtubers - Complete
Another one I should change to complete, seeing as it was a series of one-shots anyway. It was left incomplete because at the time I kept writing more, but now that I’ve more or less finished, I should really let that reflect on the fic itself.
Soulless Machines - Detroit: Become Human - Complete
The exact same situation of ‘Doggone Mess’ where I was writing a bunch for it, but now I’m happy with where it is and what I’ve written for it. In fact, I’m just in general happy with this fic and reread it often enough.
The Dragon Watching Over My Shoulder - The Dragon Prince - Hiatus...?
I always meant to update it when the second season came out, and then I never watched it... UNTIL RECENTLY! So it’s possible that someday, maybe even soon, I’ll update it. But I’ve had a lot of different projects I’m working on right now, so don’t expect anything like immediately
Thanks for the Memories - Paranatural - Hiatus
One day, I hope to update this. I don’t have it thoroughly planned, but I do have it enough - and it should be short enough - that I think it’d be doable.
Tradition - Legend of Zelda - Hiatus
I do plan to update this one! I really like this au, and while I’m not entirely sure where it’s going or where it’ll end, I enjoy writing about this Ganondorf, and though I may not complete, I definitely want to continue it
The Legend of Zelda: Folds of Darkness - take a wild guess - Discontinued probs
I never really planned to continue this one. I may, however, one day write a prequel to it? Or maybe rewrite this one (with a better title). I’ve played around with this au and the characters and the backstories and kinda have grown attached to em
Dream Team vs The Ink Machine - BaTIM - Hiatus
I do want to finished this one, especially because it’s so long at this point. I have a vague idea of where I want it to go, it’s just a matter of finding the time to write it when I’m not doing other things or working on other fics
Fires and Espers - KHR/MP100 - Hiatus
I don’t think I’ll finish this fic, but I do want to update. I like this little au, and I want to go more into Reigen’s ‘past’ and stuff. It’s just kinda fun to write in :D
The Future Waits For No One - How to Train Your Dragon - Hiatus
I actually do know where the plot is going! Again, I just need to actually get to writing it. I’ve enjoyed writing it, and it’s seemed to get pretty good reception too :)
The Path Less Traveled By - Digimon - Hiatus
The biggest thing stopping me from writing this fic is that it required me rewatching the anime and sometimes it just takes the slightest thing to make me too lazy to do something. But I love Joe, and hope to start diverging from canon at some point, but it probably won’t be updating soon
Wrong Place, Wrong Time - Detroit: Become Human - Discontinued probably
If I update, it’ll be a miracle. I always seem to start these Avergers crossovers and never finish them. I’m not really intersted in it anymore :(
Tipping the Scales - Daredevil/Avengers - Hiatus
I want to finish this one! I really like it, and it’ll just be another four or so chapters until it’s finished, and it’s really cute :) but I’m been really into drawing lately - and Hollow Knight - and they’ve distracted me from writing :P

Illegal Intervention Chapter 2
Fandom: Detroit: Become Human
Pairing: Rupert Travis/Reader
Rating: G
Warnings: none, gender-neutral reader
Part 2 of 6. << Prev  Next >>
That day, you hadn’t been sure if you’d ever see that Android again. After the police officer departed, he hadn’t spoken another word to you past “thank you.” He was too quiet, too scared, maybe too shy. You didn’t know who he was, or what he was doing, but you knew he was going wherever it was deviants disappeared to.
And you let him, of course. Cyberlife be damned.
But even with an entire day between you and those events, he remains on your mind, him and everything you do know about him. He was a WB200. Agricultural, functionally not all that dissimilar to the WR600s so popular for work in the public eye. (Private sector models were sometimes regarded as less attractive, though you’d beg to differ after seeing him up-close.) He was quiet, though with so little known about deviants you can’t be sure how much that had to do with the circumstances versus his base programming. He was a deviant, and on the run. He…liked birds.
The video he had showed you still occupies a tab on your web browser…. Sometimes you pull it up and rewatch it.
You know, without a shadow of a doubt, you’re already too invested in him. Too concerned, too worried, too…attracted. It isn’t fair to him, someone so new to the world of emotions, and probably more alone than anyone you’ve ever met before. It isn’t fair for you to sit and wonder what it would be like to go on a walk together, what sorts of things he would say, how his laugh would sound, what his hand would feel like against your cheek. It isn’t fair to either of you, who cannot reciprocate and who cannot receive.
Which is probably why seeing him again comes as such a shock.
You’re back in Ferndale doing a quality inspection at a Cyberlife supply store, only to discover it and the delivery truck en route to the store had been raided the previous night—by androids. There isn’t much left for you to inspect, especially with the police investigating the store so thoroughly, but instead of letting the trip go to waste you decided to explore the town a little. You don’t think much of where you’re going or what you’re doing, but quickly find yourself following the coasting of pigeons in the sky all the way to a little park. That’s where you see him.
He’s by himself—this time of day, the park is dead. It’s just him and a small swarm of pigeons at his feet, pecking diligently at the seeds he scatters with a practiced sort of fairness. Maybe you shouldn’t approach at all, but your feet are already moving by the time you consider the possible results. Thinking on it, it’s a wonder he doesn’t bolt as soon as he sees someone on a mission in his direction.
But he doesn’t. He looks up when you stop about ten feet away and meets your gaze. There’s a certain tension between the two of you, uncertainty and hesitancy, but not all that much fear in the air as you expect. His shoulders refuse to release all their tension, but the slackening of his body in the few undisturbed moments you stare one another down is a remarkable development. You stuff your hands into your pockets, fondling your wallet nervously, while your cold, dry lips massage together to mold the words you want to speak. “May I sit with you?”
His chin dips down in thought, eyes scanning you intently from under the bill of his tattered hat. He gives the slightest hint of a nod, and his hands slowly return to pulling birdseed from a small box at his side. You move slowly, only just edging yourself onto the opposite end of the bench, where the silence can permeate the plenty space between you. The weight isn’t comfortable; it jams you against the metal arm of the park bench, pressing uncomfortably into your side even through the fabric of your winter coat, but you let the silence hang there because now that you’ve somehow gotten this far you have no idea how to proceed. After a few minutes of watching the birds fuss and compete for food at his feet, and flutter in rotations to perch on his shoulders or his head, you find yourself speaking through a smile you hadn’t realized was there.
“I’m glad you’re okay,” you say softly. The android, whose name you now remember is Rupert, pauses in his work to supply you his complete attention. “I know that probably…sounds like complete crap, coming from a human. But I really am. You just kind of…left the other day, real sudden—and I don’t blame you! But I was kind of worried.” You chuckle, breathy, it sounds sad. “Guess that was…a little stupid of me? You seem to handle yourself alright.”
You risk a glance and find Rupert’s eyes on you. Where before he had been cast in the shadow of the dropping sun, now you could see one of his eyes alight in the warm evening glow. It was a wonderful shade of rich chocolate brown. His lips twitch, eyes flicker between you and the ground, then he says softly, “It’s not stupid if you’re being honest.” You can’t blame him for the suspended disbelief. What have humans ever done for androids these days?
Regardless, his voice is a blessing to your ears.
“Do you have somewhere safe to stay?” You ask, like an intrusive idiot.
Rupert pauses again, face drawn suddenly with indecision. “I’m…safe,” he says, looks like he wants to elaborate but doesn’t.
With everything that has happened lately, all the organized crime, the theft, the missing Cyberlife cargo, it doesn’t take a genius to know some androids have organized. His silence is very telling in that respect, so you choose not to pry any farther. But it does beg another question.
“Why come out here by yourself, then?” The question doesn’t hit him like you expect it to, doesn’t cause any visible sort of stress increase, but you can see a slow hunch of his shoulders as if he’s caving in on himself.
The pause is tangible in its thickness, and after two, three, four silent minutes you’re certain he’s shut down communication with you indefinitely. He no longer has an LED by which you might gage his frame of mind, and your brain lacks the silent understanding an android’s wireless data streams provided. When you’re confident he won’t say another word, you brush off your jacket and begin to stand, but the motion seems to startle him into vomiting the words between your feet.
“That day, I was being chased by another android.” You pause and turn only to find his eyes burning holes into yours. “A human—another human saw me going into the nest and reported me and…and I couldn’t get away when they showed up. So I…I ran. And only barely got away, but I left…everything behind.” The emotional strain in his voice never ceases to be remarkable. These synthetic beings, created in Rupert’s case to only be unthinking, unfeeling agriculturalists, spoke with more feeling and life than most humans bothered to attempt. “I…I had birds. I took care of them, fed them with feed that I…usually stole. But when I ran I couldn’t just grab them….” His voice faded off and his eyes paralleled it with a soft ghosting over the pigeons still pecking around his feet.
“I still have your video,” you say after a pause. He looks at you again, maybe a little surprised by the genuine softness in your smile. You pull it up on your phone’s web browser and let the sounds of parrots and parakeets stream gently out of the speakers. “It’s good you have things you like. It’s good to indulge yourself, you know. You deserve some happiness, especially with everything going on.”
You didn’t move where you stood for a moment, thinking, watching Rupert’s gaze consider you more thoughtfully and completely than anyone had bothered to in a long time. The thought had been rolling around in your head since you laid eyes on the man but now the decision comes with impulsive suddenness. From your breast pocket comes the standard Cyberlife business card, where at the bottom your name and personal contact number printed in neat lettering. Rupert looks at the brand name across the top and his eyes crinkle in repulsion, but you only nod reassuringly.
“If you and your friends ever need help, call the number on the bottom. That’s me. I’m a quality supervisor for the various outlet stores and warehouses around Detroit. If there’s something you need….” You bob your hand where it remains outstretched, begging him to accept it. “Just think about it?
Very slowly, his hand reaches out and takes the small piece of cardstock, fingers brushing feather light against yours.

Why “Super Best Friends Play” is the Hypest Let’s Play Channel on Youtube
Tumblr media
Let’s players are a popular, albeit divisive lot on youtube. On one hand, many go on record saying the Let’s Play format is cheap, lazy and maybe even a bit exploitative, as when it comes down to it it’s basically just some random people playing a game you could play yourself instead. On the other hand, many others love Let’s Players because they think there’s something endearing about seeing other people experience the things you love in their own unique way and it’s a very down to earth way to get to know some of your favorite online personalities. So where do I land on this? Well, I think Let’s Play is like any other format in that there’s a right and wrong way to do it. If you fall into basic tropes you can tend to blend in with other generic personalities in your field. If you do it, you gotta have a charm and an appeal that really stands out and can grow a dedicated fan base if not a particularly large one. That’s where Super Best Friends come in. I’ve been following the shenanigans of Matt, Pat & Woolie (and for a time Liam) ever since I first saw the Machinima episode on Spider-Man games I’ve had years of entertainment that both genuinely intrigues me on some solid game design and makes me laugh to tears. The Best Friends Zaibatsu are some of the earliest pioneers of the “group” format of Let’s Play in the same vain as Game Grumps, Achievement Hunter and Funhaus, where the appeal is not in a single persons interaction with a game but in a groups interaction with both the game and each other. It reignites the feelings of playing alongside a good friend and having some laughs fucking around with a videogame. But even with the charming concept of watching some good friends bond over their love for media, it wouldn’t work if important elements weren’t in play. Super Best Friends Play is the hypest Let’s Play channel on youtube for the following reasons: They have distinct likable personalities, they give genuinely interesting insight on the games they play, they’re downright hilarious, they genuinely put in effort for their presentation and they use their means to hugely benefit other communities.
Likable Personalities
The format of group let’s play is arguably a completely different ballpark than just doing a let’s play by yourself because it conveys a different challenge. The challenge is to be entertaining as part of a group, NOT to be funny on your own. It’s easier said than done because there are many cases in which one member receives way too much attention or another is becoming increasingly toxic. It’s why removing and adding new members to your group can be such a risky move for your fan communities; the chemistry of the group becomes completely different (Dan-era Game Grumps is an entirely different beast from Jon-era Game Grumps). Luckily the Best Friends have wonderful chemistry with each other that never gets old. Matt’s always the endearing leading man with the golden laugh, bottomless bag of Simpsons references and hilariously derailing one liners. Pat always brings his deadpan wit and sarcastic tone (and makes for a great straight man as a result). Woolie is the Zaibatsu’s hype man; knowing how to make any epic moment a million times better with his reactions. Former member Liam was often the quiet sensible one but when he got a laugh MAN was it a big laugh. They’re all such colliding personalities but they come together in such an endearing way that makes the whole experience lovable but not overbearing. These guys are a fundamental part of my sense of humor today. It’s the reason that unlike other let’s play series on Youtube the Zaibatsu let’s plays have great rewatch value. It also helps that they actually complete most of the playthroughs they start (cough *Game Grumps* cough). Whether they’re referencing old media, getting hype over a great game moment, laughing their asses off or are getting in stupid arguments (I recommend the “shitting pants” argument from the L.A. Noire series) watching the Best Friends is always a great time.
Great Insight on Games
youtube
So remember that old anti Let’s Play argument about how commentating over recorded game play is so easy anyone can do it? Well, I have a rebuttal. Yes, anyone can do it . . . that doesn’t mean everyone SHOULD do it. Aside from personality being a driving incentive for anyone to sit through a 10 minute video of some random person playing Detroit: Become Human, one would argue you should also present some knowledge of the game you’re playing. Otherwise it doesn’t matter what game you’re playing; there’s nothing distinguishing one let’s play series from another. Every episode of Conan O’Brien’s Clueless Gamer is just Conan’s unfunny improv set to canned audience laughter as he does a show out of necessity and not out of passion. Not knowing about the game can also cause other impeding issues such as the series taking forever to progress or the player becoming unlikable as they disregard fundamental aspects of the game (DarkSydePhil). When it comes to knowing something about the games they play, Super Best Friends not only express intoxicating passion for the medium but also express some applied knowledge on game design which makes for more interesting commentary. It’s very appropriate since the lot have been game testers on a number of titles. Whenever they have something to say about how to activate bugs, tight controls, decent polish on mechanics or even how well the games narrative is woven into the gameplay it teaches me a little more about how the medium works. They’re also clearly very passionate about their favorite franchises, such as Matt’s take on the Final Fight series above (I recommend you check out all of the Best Friends independent channels btw, which I will link to below):

Liam: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7zkWVkHBSMGpfHVgaFqr1A
They’re Downright Hilarious
Tumblr media
I really don’t have a lot to say here. I know humor is largely subjective and these guys spout so many obscure references you may not even get a lot of them, but . . .goddamn . . I don’t think anybody on the entirety of Youtube has made me laugh as hard or as consistently as these guys. For the best of the best, I recommend their Spider-Man Machinima episode (my introduction to them), the Punch Out Outtakes (which oddly enough is funnier than the actual episode) Their L.A. Noire playthrough, Their Punisher Playthrough and their Gang Beasts Fisticuffs. You can see all you need to know about their chemistry, wit and delivery. Links to all below

They Put In Effort For Their Presentation/They Largely Benefit Other Communities
youtube
*this is just one of many outstanding animated intros commissioned by Super Best Friends, courtesy of Volta Bass*
If there’s one thing I can always use as a defense for most Let’s Play internet celebrities, it’s that they use their means to really benefit other communities. Say what you want about Markiplier, but there’s a reason he was awarded celebrity of the year by the Make-a-Wish foundation. Say what you will about Ihascupquake but she played a fundamental role in launching Jaiden Animations very successful career. Needless to say the popularity of Let’s Players has had a hugely positive effect on countless communities and that’s something we could always use more of, especially in an age where a lot of role models are . . . not great.
Tumblr media
Super Best Friends is not only a great example of this, but is probably the best example I can think of. Why? Because they do more to benefit both the indie game community and the animation community than any other let’s player despite being one of the smaller channels out there (criminally small I might add). T.E.C 3001, Skullgirls, Shovel Knight and Divekick ALL owe a great deal of their success to the Zaibatsu’s funding and influence and each game has some sort of mention of them attributed. Also, as an animator myself I HIGHLY appreciate the Zaibatsu for their regular employment of animation talent like 2Snacks, Plague of Gripes, CrankyConstruct and Volta Bass. Because of how much they hire such talent every new series has a stunningly gorgeous intro and outro for each episode. These guys are an indication that some Let’s Play Channels larger than them have to STEP UP THEIR GAME when it comes to hiring talent and making strides in the indie community. *P.S, if anyone in the Zaibatsu is reading this, I would be honored if you would have me do an animated intro/outro for a series. Just say the word and I’m there*.
But their effort doesn’t stop at hiring other talent. They also do great in providing their own entertaining edited content. Just look at this intro they made for Saturday
Morning Scrublords: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljDcHWHKueM&t=286s
One will notice this hilarious intro is a parody of their already amazing intro for Friday Night Fisticuffs. And this isn’t the only variation of the intro they’ve ever done either. That’s what I like about these guys the most; they’re genuinely passionate about being entertaining. They aren’t just let’s players; they do a little but of everything from sketches to animated adventures to podcasts to livestreams. You can tell they have a huge blast doing all of it.
In conclusion, if anyone wants to start a genuinely entertaining Let’s Play Channel, they ought to take some notes from the Best Friends. They’re great because they diversify, they put their money and time into making great content, they have solid insight, clear passion and they’re goddamn hilarious. For these reasons, they will always be the HYPEST LET’S PLAY CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE.
