“There, perfect!” Your sister punctuates the end of her makeover with the snap of her powder compact and the flourish of a makeup brush.
You turn slowly, the pink cushioned stool a little wobbly under your unsteady frame. Your reflection looks comical, all blurred edges and wavy lines. Without your glasses, the bedroom vanity has turned into a funhouse mirror.
“What does it matter if I’m going on a date with him if I can barely see him?”
You don’t need glasses to know that she’s rolling her eyes. Even though you can’t quite see her, you can hear her exasperation in the way she’s loudly chewing her gum. “You’re going to the movies, you’re barely gonna be able to see him anyway. Besides, you’ll be able to see him when he’s close enough to kiss and that’s the whole point.”
You blink each eye one at a time, trying to gauge which one is better. Your left eye is slightly clearer, though the difference is negligible. “I think you’re severely overestimating my eyesight.”
“I think you’re severely underestimating my dating advice.” She blows a bubble, the view of her face becoming a bright pink smudge before it pops and she continues smacking. “Just trust me, it’ll all be fine.”
You do trust her. Even though she has spent the last two hours plucking and primping and preening, you want to take her advice. She’s not doing this to be condescending or controlling. She’s genuinely excited that you have a date, even more so that it’s with a living breathing human boy and not another library book.
You don’t have much experience. With dating, with seeing someone, with kissing someone. What it means to be dating someone versus what it means to be seeing someone. What you’re supposed to do when you kiss someone. I mean, are your lips supposed to be on top of each other or are they supposed to interlock like the teeth of a zipper? Yeesh, you didn’t even wanna think about how teeth and tongues factor into the equation.
These types of questions would usually be the kind that you would ask an older sister. You’ve just never had the bravery to say them out loud. Sure, you’ve watched romance movies and rewound and observed so much that you were afraid the tape in the VHS was going to break. And you’ve read enough romance that Ms. Marissa gives you side-eye when you pass the library’s reception desk. But there’s a difference between fiction and real life. A bridge you’ve yet to cross. You’re sure that you’re going to need all the help you can get.
So, you heed her advice. You let her spray you with enough Aquanet to try to keep the flyaways at bay. You let her paint your lips with a shimmery pink lip gloss that isn’t too sticky and tastes like vanilla. You don’t, however, let her see you sneak the thick frames into your bag for emergencies. If it were up to her, the frames would be set out with Thursday’s garbage and you’d be wearing contacts like everyone else in your age group.
She drops you off at The Hawk with another smack of her bubblegum and a reassuring pat on the shoulder. She barely waits for you to close the door of the station wagon before she’s speeding away, her Halloween plans including a keg, a pushup bra, and a slightly inebriated Steve Harrington.
Eddie’s easy to spot. His silhouette sticks out against the brick building, white shirt, black leather, and blue denim against a red background. He lights up when he sees you and it’s the first time you’ve understood the meaning of the phrase. Since you can’t quite see his face clearly, you’re paying extra attention to his body. The way he pushes off the wall to stand tall. The way his shoulders visibly relax. You bet that they could see his smile all way in Indianapolis.
“I know you’re usually supposed to give flowers on dates, but this is the best I could do.”
He presents an origami paper flower in the shape of a rose. It’s made from binder paper, evident by the familiar feel of it in your hands. The folds are a bit unsure. There’s evidence of it being undone and folded again with a cleaner precision, you can feel the wear and tear on the paper with your fingertips. You’re dumbfounded.
“Thank you,” You whisper, twirling the stem between your thumb and forefinger, watching the rosebud spin. “No one’s ever gotten me flowers before.”
“Never?” He gapes at you in apparent disbelief before he schools his expression. “Well then, I’m glad to be the first.” He offers his arm to you like a real gentleman and you take it.
The leather in the crook of his elbow is cold to the touch, but being in such close proximity you can feel the body heat radiating off of him.
“It’s a continuous marathon, so they’re showing movies all night. We can start with any one that you want.” He gestures up to the marquee above the concession stand. When you look up to the sign, the words might as well be written in Cyrillic the way the letters all blur together.
After a trip to the concessions stand, the two of you eventually settle on The Exorcist, which you had decided to cling to after Eddie’s nervous yet adorable rambling about which movie would be better to start with.
Horror movies are even scarier when you can’t tell what’s going on. It didn’t occur to you how much you relied on sight to be able to mentally prepare for jump scares. Eddie must think you’re a total wimp the way you practically leap out of your seat at every flash on the silver screen that accompanies a discordant string of violins.
You jump when you feel a hand brush your bicep, your arms flinging out. It’s much too late when you realize that intimate touch was Eddie trying to figure out if you were alright. The large Coke that Eddie had gotten–two straws because he said he didn’t wanna be presumptuous–the casualty of your fright. The flimsy lid pops off like it has nothing better to do and the dark brown liquid splashes over the arm of the seat right into Eddie’s lap.
Eddie recoils, half-jumping and half-hovering in his seat because he just got a handful of ice-cold soda in his crotch. The people behind you are jeering, grumbling about the disturbance and Eddie half-whispers fucking shit under his breath, in what you’re sure must be a mixture of disdain and disgust.
You pull napkins out of your purse and thrust them in Eddie’s direction before rushing out of the theater, chest heaving and eyes stinging.
It’s a wonder you don’t trip and fall on your way out. You’ve walked these dimly lit halls hundreds of times, so luckily instinct and muscle memory win out and you make it out of the theater mostly unscathed, just with a few bruises on each shoulder. Nothing compared to the mortification of what had happened inside.
Because it’s October in Indiana and you can’t seem to catch a break, it’s raining. Only every so slightly, but enough that you’d be soaked to the bone if you walked home thanks to your sister’s insistence that you dress for fashion and not function. You huddle close to the payphone, pondering if you have enough change to call around and get your sister to pick you back up because no way are you waking up your parents for this.
The doors to the theater creak open behind you and suddenly you’re not alone anymore. The biting cold chills you to the bone but it’s Eddie’s presence behind you that sets you on fire.
“Hey, are you okay?”
Maybe it’s because you’ve spent the last hour and a half in the dark with your nerves on edge, but the tenderness in Eddie’s voice makes your throat constrict.
“I’m sorry,” You blubber. “I’m so embarrassed. I just wanted everything to be perfect and I ruined it.”
“Hey. Hey.” Eddie repeats himself more forcefully when you don’t meet his gaze the first time, “You didn’t ruin anything. It’s just a little soda. I’ll live.”
His fingers rub the back of your hands in a soothing motion. Back and forth, thumbs caressing the valleys between your knuckles. He’s close enough that his features are almost in focus. You still have to squint.
“You keep doing that.” He points his fingers toward your furrowed brow before mimicking the action on his own face. The finger is not accusatory, it just seems like Eddie likes to talk with his hands.
You sigh, a resigned and weary sound. “My sister convinced me that I shouldn’t wear my glasses.”
Eddie makes a face that you can’t quite discern in the dark before letting out a soft hmph! “Your sister kinda sounds a little mean.”
“She means well.” You defend, weakly. You love your sister to death but there are times that your differences become much too apparent and that leaves you with nothing to do but suffer the consequences. This is one of those times.
“Did you bring them with you?”
“Yeah,” You reach into your bag, finding the frames folded into one of the inner pockets.
Eddie takes them and puts them on you. “You keep doing that.” You murmur, a repeat of his earlier accusation. Now, though, you both know it’s in reference to him adjusting your glasses not just once but twice.
“It gives me an excuse to be close to you.”
You can see him with unrelenting clarity now. The little crinkles next to his eyes as he smiles warmly down at you. The way the slight breeze has carried the miserable drizzle under the theater awning. The way that drizzle clings to his curly hair like dewdrops on morning grass. You almost robbed yourself of all of this, and for what? Eddie knows what you look like.
“Y’know what I thought when I saw you yesterday?” Yesterday, when you had been wearing a witch hat on top of your frizzy hair and the same Coke bottle glasses that sit on the slope of your nose now. “I thought that you were the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. I thought I made a fool outta myself and that you wouldn’t give me the time of day, not in a million years.”
“The whole scaredy cat schtick was quite endearing I must say.”
He nods seriously, just a slight hint of a smirk on his face. “I try my best.”
You look down at the seat of his pants. Sure enough, there’s a dark stain splashed right across his crotch.“Oh god. I'm so sorry. Again”
“What did I tell you about apologizing?”
“You didn’t say anything about apologizing.”
“Well then, this is me saying something. Stop apologizing. You have nothing to apologize for.”
“It looks like you pissed yourself,” You wail mournfully.
“Well, that definitely makes me feel better.” Eddie jests before he tugs you into his chest and plants his chin on top of your head.
You nuzzle your face into his sternum, appreciating the soft hiss he lets out when your cold nose touches his warm skin. You inwardly groan because, quite frankly, there’s nothing more embarrassing than running out of a nearly full movie theater the way that you did. The only thing more embarrassing than that, you think, is going back inside after having embarrassed yourself. You tell Eddie as much, with the reassurance that you don’t want the date to end and if he really wants to, you can go back inside and finish the movie. He’s already tugging you toward his van that’s parked on the other side of the street, saying the six words that make your night:
“I own The Exorcist on VHS.”
You spend the entire time back in the trailer park cuddled up having quiet conversation about gory practical effects over a bowl of microwaved popcorn. The closest he gets to kissing you is when you duck into his chest to hide and his lips brush your temple. He could’ve lived off of that single brush for the rest of his life if he had to.
When Eddie pulls up to your house later that night, he really does mean to give you an innocent kiss goodnight. The neighborhood is quiet, seeing as it’s probably been an hour since the children of Hawkins had fallen into their sugar-induced comas. He turns the engine off and shifts towards you, his smile both giddy and shy while he tells you that he had a really good time tonight. You mirror his expression and tell him the same. You both lean forward, chests rising and falling in tandem, noses brushing.
When you finally make it past the front door, your lips are swollen and your glasses are fogged up. You kick off your shoes and pad up the carpeted steps two at a time, racing to your bedroom window. When you turn on your lamp and look out to the tree-lined street, Eddie waves at you, his rings glinting in the streetlight. You wave back, watching the van disappear into the distance.
“Hey,” Your sister is leaning against the doorframe, smiling like the cat who got the cream.
“How’d it go?” You’re already slightly aware of the answer since she’s standing in front of you with a freshly washed face and hand-me-down pajamas instead of in an empty house in Loch Nora.
She shrugs noncommittally, “It was a bust.”
You hum in solemn solidarity, trying to tug the grin on your face into a much more situationally appropriate neutral expression. You feel for her and you don’t want to rub it in her face that you had such a good time, despite her advice. Unfortunately, you do not seem to have as much control over your facial muscles as you think you do. Your sister sees right through you, grabbing the purple throw pillow at the foot of the bed and launching it at your face telling you to shut up. You catch it before it has the chance to hit you, huffing with righteous indignation at her before the two of you collapse onto the bed in muffled laughter.
“So, how’d it go?” She whispers in your direction, mindful of your sleeping parents down the hall.
You trace your cupid’s bow, feeling the chapped and swollen skin for the hundredth time that night. You turn your head toward hers, readjusting your glasses when they slide down your nose.
“It was perfect.”

Nothing Else Matters
Summary: Being Jason Carver’s little sister can be be hell. Especially when you fall in love with someone he despises. Jason has a plan to break you up, and it almost works. Almost. (Part 2 is here!)
Pairing: Eddie Munson x fem reader
Word count: 6,618
Warnings: V ANGSTY, angst to fluff, heavy themes of bullying, themes of child abuse and neglect, Jason Carver is an absolute shitheel in this, mentions of suicide, argument heavy in one part, reader is Jason Carver’s little sister, this is kind of a rough one for the first three quarters or so, it does get better I swear, posted without being beta read and in the early hours of the morning
AN: This was a wonderful request that I got from borhapgirlforlife19, and my first one for this blog, so thank you!! Really hope you enjoy it! The request asked for smut at the end, and I’m gonna be working on that in the next couple of days! I wanted to put it in two parts; one because this got quite long, and also separating it means that those who don’t wanna read smut can choose not to click on the second half if they wish! Actually gave myself psychic damage writing some of this lmao
Being the little sister to the school’s golden boy had both good and bad connotations. For one, you weren’t picked on throughout your years in high school, able to weave through the halls and mind your own business. Make a couple of friends, and manage to keep your head down and focus on your grades.
However, the downside was that Jason was the one to make your life hell, if he was in one of his moods. A couple of times he’d humiliated you for some inane reason that he thought required payback. The worst had been when you’d told your Mom about him sneaking out at night to drink with his buddies, only to come back from a gym class the next day to find your fantasy books in shreds after they’d been stolen from your bag. No doubt orchestrated by Jason as revenge, seeing as the cheerleaders seemed to follow his every command.
It was how you and Eddie had first met, the day that it happened.
You were crying under the East stairwell during class, hating the thought of having to go to class and face the smug looks on the faces of your bullies, knowing they’d finally got to you by ruining the one thing you enjoyed. Back pressed against the cold bricks, arms wrapped around your legs and your forehead pressed against your knees as you tried to will yourself to stop crying.
“What’re you cryin’ for, pretty girl?” he had asked you softly, making your head snap up to look at him. A halo of dark curls and soft brown eyes, such a contrast against his rough and sharp outfit of ripped jeans and chains. When you only sniffled in response, he carefully crouched in front of you, a respectful distance away as he placed his rings hands against his knees. “Somethin’ bad happen?”
“M-my books,” you manage to get out between ragged breaths, and you watched as his eyes flickered towards the piles of paper by your bag. It looked as if you had tried to rescue them, only to become overwhelmed after you realised it was pointless. Sitting himself in front of you, legs crossed in front of him, a hand slowly reached out to carefully pluck a cover from the pile. Eyebrows furrowing as he clicked his tongue behind his teeth and shook his head as his eyes snapped back up yours.
“Someone destroyed a copy of The Silmarillion? Why princess, that’s sacrilege. Honestly, the firing squad need to be summoned at once for this heinous crime.” His dramatic flair as he spoke; the hand clutching fake pearls and the exaggerated exasperation made you let out a small giggle. His face warmed as he set his hands back in his lap, tilting his head with a soft smile.
“There it is,” he mused, making your eyebrows knit in confusion at his words.
“What?” was your dumb reply, already internally kicking yourself at how small and helpless you sounded.
“There’s that smile I look for in the cafeteria,” he answered with a soft voice, making your stomach flip pleasantly at the thought of him looking for you in a sea of people. You’d known of Eddie, of course you did. Had watched him launch himself up onto the table to parade around, yelling about whatever had him revved up that day. Had seen him rough-housing with his friends in the hallways, all smiles and earnest laughter. But you’d also seen the kinder side of him. Letting people pass when he was in the way, or holding doors open on instinct whenever someone was behind him. No matter how much people bullied him, he was still giving them common decency. And now you knew he knew who you were? You couldn’t stop the heavy blush dusting your cheeks.
As if sensing your slight embarrassment, he cleared his throat as he shifted on his place on the floor to get more comfortable. Both hands placed on the floor behind, him, leaning back as if giving you some space if you needed it. “Soooo… I happen to have a few copies of Tolkien kicking around my place. Wouldn’t mind lending them to you, until you get another. Totally your call, though. Won’t be offended if you tell me to get lost.”
Your heart warmed at the offer. You’d never spoken to him before, but he was clearly picking up on how upset you were, willing to go without if it made you happy. The kindness that you’d soon learn that filled him so much he was fit to burst with the intensity, especially when it came to the ones he loved and cared for. It made your smile so wide it made your cheeks hurt as you wiped your tears away with the back of your cardigan as you nodded.
“I’d like that.”
A love of books had bonded you both, and what begun as sneaking copies of what one thought the other would like when nobody was around turned into hanging out to talk about them. You’d tell your parents you were visiting a friend when you went out for the weekend, which was technically the truth. You would spend your free time in his messy bedroom, reading in comfortable silence or watching him play his guitar as you tried to focus on homework, something that fascinated you endlessly. The way his fingers would move over the fret board with an ease that came from a lot of practice, playing you songs that you thought you’d like. He was the one to introduce you to heavy metal, and you found that you actually really liked it. You’d had so many deep conversations when you were curled beside him on his bed, talking about how much you hated when Jason picked on you and others, or other worries that filled your mind. He was a good listener, and always seemed to know what to say to soothe you. His bedroom became your solace, somewhere that you would yearn for when you weren’t there.
In return, he shared the thoughts that you knew he never shared with anyone else, keeping them to himself and gnawing on his soul. How much he missed his Mom, or how the years of abuse at the hands of his father when he was drunk still made him carry both mental and physical scars. You soothed him when it became too much, a hand on his and rubbing soothing patterns onto the skin of the back of his hand as you listened to the heartache that poured from him. You wondered why he never asked you not to tell, but it eventually dawned on you that he trusted you. He trusted you to hold his heart, and to never crush it. And it made you feel honoured to do so.
It was there that you had your first kiss. You could still remember how you were both laughing at some silly joke as you lay side by side, and the way that your bodies were practically inches from each other when you rolled onto your side to face him. How his eyes darted down to your lips, his own parting as if he was silently asking for permission. Seemingly finding the want you had for him in your body language, and closing the distance to slot his lips between your own. He tasted like cigarettes and cherry flavoured gum, and it became a taste you so desperately needed every time you were with him. Needed the way that his hand would come up to cradle your jaw, the cool metal of his rings against your warm skin. He always kissed you like it would be the last; passionate, tender, loving. He was your first kiss, and you found yourself wanting him to be the only boy you kissed for the rest of your life.
Ever since the first, the kisses didn’t stop. He would come and find you, nodding his head towards a supply closet and ducking inside, knowing you would follow to be wrapped in his arms with his mouth peppering your lips, your cheeks, your jaw with soft kisses as he told you how beautiful you were. You were only dating for a few months, but it was the small things like that which had you smitten with each other. He would find you small gifts that made him think of you; a beanie baby of an otter, because you once noted how adorable you found them. A silver chain bracelet very similar to his, though daintier, that you wore with pride. His eyes would light up when would find him new books to read that were his favoured genre, finding them when you took trips to the second hand bookstore. Your handwriting on the first page, saying things like ‘I thought you’d like this one because of the lore on elves. Enjoy!’ with your name signed underneath and a small heart.
You didn’t know it, but Jason knew something was up with you. You’d been smiling more, and wasn’t bothered by his usual jabs to your confidence, and the fact of it enraged him. The suspicions were confirmed when he was snooping through your room when you were out of the house, finding a very familiar shirt buried in the bottom of your dresser drawer. Moth eaten and faded with time, the black cotton with WASP proudly emblazoned on the front made him see red as he clutched it tighter in his hand. He knew who the previous owner was, considering he was one of the only people he knew that listened to this sort of music. Not to mention the faint smell of weed still eminating from the fabric. What the fuck was Munson’s shirt doing in your room? Slowly, he put the clues together. The late nights coming home, the smell of cigarettes on your clothes and the near constant chipper demeanour for the past couple of months.
You were banging the freak. And he wasn’t going to have that.
A plan formed in his mind, coming to fruition on the Monday morning before class. One of the cheerleaders, Donna, had a knack for copying handwriting; she was the one that they would come to if they needed a fake sick note, or an excuse for not doing homework. Filling her and the rest of the cheerleaders in on the plan, they were all right on board to make his little sister and the Devil worshipper of Hawkins break up. “It’s for her own good,” they had nodded sagely as they all chipped in an insult to write down, as though they were fully in their right to meddle in people’s affairs. Chrissy seemed uncomfortable with it, though she didn’t say anything as she watched. Just hanging onto Jason’s varsity jacket sleeve, giving him a small frown that he chose to ignore. In his eyes, he was second ranking in the position of the other man of the house. The women in the household were expected to listen to him, just like they listened to his father. In his eyes, he was doing the right thing. Straight up threatening would only push you further into Munson’s arms. This way? This way, he could kill two birds with one stone. Destroy Munson, and get his little sister away from him. The freak would be doing all the hard work, and he could come out of this looking like the one in the right. It was perfect.
~
Eddie was late to school, yet again. He was really trying to get in on time, knowing that it would look bad on him. The rubber soles of his sneakers squeaked against the linoleum as he rounded the corner, coming to a harsh stop in front of his locker. “Shit, shit, c’mon baby work with me,” he quietly pleaded with the combination lock, fingers fumbling as he twisted the dial. A triumphant noise escaping his lips as it finally unlocked, making quick work of putting his backpack and lunch box into the locker as he picked up the Math and Chemistry books he needed. He almost missed the small folded piece of paper that fluttered on the floor, his name in a familiar handwriting with a small heart just underneath. A sight that he was always glad to see, knowing that this was something you did often. Picking it up and shoving it into his pocket, he booked it towards Math. Not really because he was excited to learn about whatever the fuck the teacher was on about. But because he would have time to read your little love note.
Ten minutes into the lesson, and he finally took his chance to retrieve the paper and gently fold it open. Seeing his name on the top made him swoon. But as his eyes scanned the words, the grip on the note tightened so much that his ringed knuckles turned white.
Eddie,
I know it isn’t April Fools yet, but surprise!! Got you real good there, didn’t I? Got you thinking this was real, didn’t you? God, you’re a loser. Should have seen your face when I said I loved you. All doe eyes and stupid grin. Who would ever love you? You’re a freak and a nobody. Trailer park trash, just like your no good Daddy. Wonder if you’re gonna share a cell when you eventually wind up in prison? Or will you OD on smack before then, just like Mommy? Maybe if you do some sort of pact with your Lord and Master Lucifer, they might bring them back for you? When you’re not too busy sucking his dick, of course.
I never want to see your pathetic, ugly face again. This is the last you’ll hear of me. So enjoy the memories of me fucking you while they last, perv. Hope this finally sends you over the edge and you finally do us all a fucking favour.
p.s. Get a fucking haircut, you look like like the ugliest chick alive.
Your name was signed on it, and it just made his heart shatter that much more, his whole world crashing down around him. His hands were shaking as he tried to control his breathing, trying to keep it from going as rapid as his body was trying to force him to do. Vision growing blurry as hot tears pricked at his eyes that he couldn’t stop from forming. He was stood up before he realised his own body was moving, barely hearing the teacher yell at him for leaving the class halfway through and Jeff’s voice asking “What the fuck, man?”
Now in the halls, he began sprinting. Letting his feet pound on the floor as a wretched sob burst from his chest, running towards the only place of solace that he had left. He’d thought that he’d got used to the bullying over the years. He’d got used to the punches and kicks; those could be patched up and bruises covered. Even the names stopped bothering him after a while, after he’d heard them enough times. Only one time had got him to this state, and that was when they had stolen a necklace that he had hung on the rearview mirror of his van. One of the last things he had that belonged to his mother- the one of very few items in the whole world that he cherished more than anything. And it was you who had got it back for him after you snuck into Jason’s room to get it, risking your own neck in the process. It was you who he had spoken about her to, about how much he missed her every damn day and still wished every night that she was still around. You had hugged him while he cried on her birthday last month, carding your fingers through his hair so tenderly and softly whispering that it was okay to cry, to just let it all out, that you were always going to be around to catch him when he felt like he was free falling.
He had trusted you, heart and soul. He loved you. And none of it was real.
“Hey, have you seen Eddie?”
You were confused to not find him at the head of the Hellfire table when you got to the cafeteria. You were used to him giving you a lopsided grin as you passed to make your way to sit with your friends, teasingly patting his lap in offering and knowing full well that you wanted nothing more than to indulge and finally join him. Coming up to the table was already a risk; the boys who sat there looking nervous as you approached. But you had to. Eddie had promised that he wouldn’t skip school because he was determined to graduate this year, and you knew full well that you would see him here if he nothing was wrong. Was he sick? Maybe his van broke down? Either way, your stomach lurched as you waited for an answer.
The boys shot looks you couldn’t quite decipher between them all, and it was a curly haired boy with a boyish smile that Eddie told you was named Dustin to finally answer. “Do you uh… Do you need him for anything?”
You knew why they were being apprehensive. With the last name of Carver, of course it was going set them on edge. No doubt your older brother was making their lives a misery, and they wondered if you were about to do the same.
You gave them a soft smile as you nodded. “Yeah, I um… I-I have one of his books that he gave me. Wanted to return it.” Technically the truth. His beloved copy of Lord of the Rings was safely tucked in your backpack.
“We can give it to him,” Dustin offered, still eyeing you with suspicion.
“Oh, thank you, but there’s no need,” you answered, keeping your tone light. “I actually need to talk to him about something, too.”
The one with the dark cropped hair and kind eyes seemed to give you some pity. “You know that’s his girlfriend, right?” he muttered to his friends, keeping his voice down in case they were overheard. All eyes snapped back to you, shoulders relaxing and small sheepish smiles when they finally put two and two together. Eddie had been talking non-stop about a girl he was dating, and it was actually Jeff who had sussed it out first. It wasn’t rocket science, considering he’d probably caught the way you two stared at each other every moment you got. You wondered why Eddie hadn’t told them your identity, but you also understood. If word got out that you two were dating, it’d mean untold consequences for the both of you. You knew he trusted his friends enough not to snitch you two out, but you guessed he was just being extra careful with it all.
“Yeah, I am,” you said, smiling fondly at being called ‘his girlfriend’ in public. His girlfriend. You were Eddie’s, and he was yours. And you loved how it sounded. “I was just wondering if he was okay? If he was actually in school today?”
“He burst out of Math about something,” Jeff explained, shrugging as he pushed food around his plate with the tines of his fork. “Seemed real pissed. You might find him out in the woods, past the football fields and keeping right on the path. He sometimes goes there to smoke on the old bench out there.”
You couldn’t stop your heart racing as you nodded, thanking them profusely as you turned heel and left towards the place Jeff had told you about. Eddie was mad at something? He seemed fine when you saw him yesterday. In fact, he seemed in a really good mood. He’d got his first C in English, and you celebrated by ordering in pizza and cuddling up to watch horror movies on his couch. It had made him laugh when you jumped at the sudden scares in the movie, a smug grin on his face when you cuddled into him and whined that it wasn’t funny. Kissing the top of your head as he soothed a hand over your back. “Don’t worry babe,” he’d cooed. “I’ll save you from all the nasty zombies.”
So the fact that he’d left a class that he was set on passing was making you worry even more. Had Jason done something to upset him again? If he had, that would be the last straw. Eddie was rubbing off on you, and not in a bad way. For your whole life, you had bowed to your older brother. If he said jump, you asked how high. But Eddie had gently reminded you that you were your own person, and you didn’t have to do anything that you didn’t want. And that included with him, too. Many times, you had talked about losing your virginity with him, and he had promised that you would finally take the next step in your relationship, as soon as you were sure you were ready. As soon as you were sure you wanted to lose it with him. And like the gentleman he was, he never went any further than some light over the clothes action when you’d practically begged him to, respecting your wishes to not go any further. And you loved him all the more for it.
He came into view as you entered the clearing, and your heart skipped a beat at the sight of the very familiar Dio patch on the back of him denim jacket. He was sat on the table of the bench, feet planted against the seat, facing away from you and his shoulders hunched over. You could see the lit cigarette in his hand as he leaned his weight on the arm beside him, clutched between index and middle finger that was tapping in quick succession on the rotten wood. It was a nervous habit that you’d picked up on a while ago. Though his hands were always in motion, you could tell by the pace what kind of mood he was in. Slow and languid meant he was calm or sleepy. Slightly more rapid, he was excited. If they moved in the shape of frets to his favourite songs, he was trying to focus on something to take his mind off whatever bothered him. But this near frantic energy meant he was really, really upset or angry. It set you on edge a little as you winced at the sight of it.
“Eds?” you called out, noticing how his whole form froze as he heard your voice calling the name only you called him. A soft, sharp sob escaping his chest, the sound causing cracks to form in your heart. You took careful steps towards him, rounding the bench as you came into his view. Eyes downcast, red and puffy from crying. Cheeks stained from tears, and bottom lip quivering as he gasped for breath. Your eyebrows furrowed as you softly cooed, holding out your arms as you stepped towards him. “Baby, what’s wro-”
“Don’t you fucking touch me.” His voice was cracked, the edges of the words sharp and laced with anger, making you stop dead in your tracks and freeze in place.
Your eyes widened as you took a sharp inhale of breath, confusion marring your features as you dropped your hands to your sides. “Eddie? What’s wrong?”
He laughed, though there was no trace of humour in them as he shook his head and poked his cheek with his tongue. Reaching into his jean pocket, a piece of paper was in his grasp for only a second, before it was flung towards your feet. “You still keeping up the charade, Carver? Wanna try and hurt me more?” The use of your last name made you cringe. He knew you hated when people called you that; you hated being called the same thing as your brother. To Eddie, you were babydoll, princess, babe, sweetheart or angel. Barely ever your name any more. Using your last name was a weapon to hurt you with. And you both knew it.
Reaching down to pick up the piece of paper, you unfolded it and skimmed it through. A strangled, horrified sound escaping your lips as you felt physically sick from the cruelty of the words. The handwriting was so familiar, yet slight differences that only you could notice. The inflections of the letter I, or the syntax slightly off. But an icy hot panic washed over you in an instant when you realised why it was so familiar. It was your handwriting. Well, nearly. But to him, blinded by rage and hurt, those differences didn’t matter. You tried desperately to find the words, to try and tell him that none of this was you, but all you could do was shake your head.
You heard him take a sharp inhale of breath, and when your eyes flickered up, you watched the smoke languidly flow from his mouth. He wasn’t crying now. Instead, there was a mask-like quality to his features. Devoid of all emotion, eyes hardened as he stared at you. And honestly? It hurt worse than seeing him upset. Knowing that underneath it all, he was fully blaming you for the trauma. “Going to drop the act now? Hm?” He flicked the filter of the cigarette in your direction, with more force than needed to break the embers away. “You’re embarrassing yourself with keeping it up.”
“Eddie, I didn’t write this,” you whispered, tone practically pleading as you gripped the note with shaking hands. “You’ve gotta believe me, I don’t-”
“I know your fuckin’ handwriting,” he interjected, spoken through gritted teeth. “Don’t play dumb.”
“No, please, I promise! I swear on everything I love!” Your voice was becoming more shrill as you flailed your arms around, wishing to God that the ground would swallow you up. This was it. You’d never know Eddie’s kisses again; never know the intimate moments on late afternoons when you were wrapped up in his arms, or listen to him sing along to whatever he played on his guitar with that devastatingly beautiful voice of his. It was all snatched away from you, and you hadn’t even done anything.
“That’s your problem,” he scoffed, pointing at you with the fingers that held his cigarette between them, jabbing them at you with fury. “You don’t love anything. You’re a fucking sociopath, Carver. Just like your brother.”
His vile words made your knees buckle, sending you careening to the dirt and leaves until you kneeled in front of him, the crumbled note in your hands that rested on your lap. Hot tears welled in your eyes as you dropped your head, a sob wracking through your chest as the accusation hit you. Causing all brain function to cease as you shook your head. Over the course of your relationship, you’d never said those three little words to him. Too scared of rocking the boat, of driving him away if you said them too soon. Didn’t want to be too clingy, or too desperate, fearful of never being good enough for him and living in fear that some day he would up and leave when he found a girl who would treat him right. Wouldn’t have a brother who was one of his biggest tormentors.
“That’s not true,” you finally managed to squeak out. “I… I love you, Eddie. I’m so sorry that I never said it before but-” Your words were interrupted with another whimpered hiccup, trying to wipe away the wetness on your cheeks with the sleeve of your cardigan before trying again. “If I could turn back the clock, I’d never stop saying it. Please, just believe me when I say that I didn’t do this.” You finally looked up at him, not noticing a slight confusion that furrowed his brow, too wrapped up in your own grief and agony. “I love you, Eddie. I love you more than anything.”
Everything seemed to stop for long, agonising moments. Only the sounds of your small sobs, and his hitched breath mingling with the distant sounds of birdsong. “You… You didn’t say it,” he finally murmured, harshly driving the embers of his cigarette against the table until it was extinguished and hopping off it to take a few steps towards you.
“Wh-what?” you whimpered, flinching as he took another step.
“The note, you… It said that you told me you loved me.” His words were rushed now, his hands coming up to run harshly through his curls, giving them a small tug as the penny well and truly dropped. “But you never did. And it said that we… That we slept together, but we haven’t.”
You scanned the note again, noticing what he was talking about. The stuff about his parents was knowledge that was easy to come by if you asked the right people, considering the rumour mill in this small town was always working full time. Devil worshipping, living in a trailer park and cheap shots at his appearance? That had been flung at him since middle school. But he was right. In his haze of anger and hurt, he must have forgotten that some of the content just didn’t add up. But who would do this? Who had this much malice and scorn, that they would try and split you up like this?
The name seemed to come into both your minds at the same second, knocking against your skulls with the force of it. A person that hated his guts, and wouldn’t care if you got hurt in the process. In fact, they might see it as some sort of punishment. A consequence for your actions, that would would be criminal if they had their way.
A long few moments of silence filled the clearing, both of you trying to wrap their heads around the consequences of this encounter. Would you be able to come back from this? Would Eddie be able to forgive himself for the harsh words spat like hellfire, because of his own wounded heart? Would you be able to forgive him? Was this the end of everything, before it even had the chance to fully begin? You had fallen so hard for him, and now you felt like you were freefalling, and the anxieties that came with that feeling made your gut clench and palms sweat.
You were the first to speak. A small “oh my God,” barely audible, burying your face in your hands to try and hide away from the embarrassment and pain. Of course your brother would be the culprit behind this. And behind the agony, sparks of fury threatened to set ablaze the kindling of memories, of all the times he had made you feel less than a person. Hiding your dress hours before the Winter Formal, not caring how much you cried when you realised you weren’t going to be able to go. Breaking countless cassettes because he didn’t approve of them. Driving away potential friends because he ‘didn’t approve’. All with the knowledge that your parents saw it all, and didn’t do a thing to stop it. Jason was the golden child. The star basketball player, the popular one, the one who could never do something wrong. You knew that, all you life, you knew. But now, being with Eddie, a person that thought you hung the moon and saw you, really saw you, and loved you with such a warm intensity that it seeped through every fibre of you being? You weren’t ready to give that up. Not for anything.
You heard movement from in front of you; a heavy thump as you opened your eyes to find him kneeling in front of you, knees framing the outsides of your own. His dark eyes so filled with regret and shame, that it hurt to look at. His shaky hands came towards you, yet stopped when he realised that maybe you didn’t want him to touch you. Perhaps thinking that maybe you just… Couldn’t forgive him. “Baby, I-I’m so sorry… Please, can we talk-”
It was instinct that drove you to launch yourself at him, arms wrapping tightly around his neck and burying your face into the crook of his neck, nearly knocking him off balance. You felt him coil his arms around you in return, a hand on the back of your neck and his forearm against the small of your back, pressing you close to his chest. “I-It wasn’t me,” you mumbled, muffled by his skin and hoping he could hear you because of it. “J-Jason…”
“Ssh, it’s okay,” he softly cooed, the hand resting at your waist gently rubbing at the skin there to soothe you. “I know. I know it wasn’t you, okay? A-and I’m so sorry for what I said. I was so wrong, and I was an asshole, and it’s okay if you don’t forgive me because it was such an awful thing to say, a-and…”
You knew that he rambled whenever he was upset, and though the sorrow was still there, a fondness seeped through you at the reminder of his little habits. A warmth in the knowledge that this was fixable, and that you had the luxury of time in the relationship to fix the heartache that this had caused. “You don’t need to apologise,” you said softly, head raising to meet his own, forehead pressed against his. “You were hurt, and I understand. It was such an awful thing they did to you, Eddie. I just wish I could say sorry on my brother’s behalf.”
“You don’t need to do that,” he frowned. “Please don’t ever apologise for other people’s actions. Especially not your dickhead of a brother.” The jab at Jason made you abruptly smile at the sentiment, and he mirrored it as he shifted his legs to pull you to sit in his lap. “Because I was wrong. Carver is your last name, but you’re nothin’ like him, sweetheart. You’re kind, and funny, and so smart. Beautiful, too.”
The compliments made your cheeks warm as you let out a small giggle, shaking your head a fraction as you bit your bottom lip. “Stop…” The whine was small, and playful. God, you never wanted him to stop loving you with his words. Not really.
As if he knew, he rose to the challenge, capturing your lips in his own with a soft and brief kiss. “Pretty,” he whispered against your lips, adding another kiss. “Talented.” Another kiss, though to the side of your mouth. “Brave.” One at you jaw. “Thoughtful.” The word pressed into your neck, and you could feel him smile against the skin there. “You wan’ me to keep going, or are you gonna give in and let me adore you?”
“I give in,” you squealed, hurt temporarily forgotten at the tender affection that he gave. Happy to share a few moments in his embrace, enjoying the warmth and tenderness that you would never grow tired of. You allowed the silence to settle for only a few heartbeats, before you finally broke it. “I meant it, you know.”
He came into view again, a small smile on his lips as his eyebrows slightly furrowed in questioning. “Meant what, angel?”
“That I love you.” The words came easier now; now that they could come from the heart, each syllable laced with loving intent. “I’m sorry I didn’t say it before, but… I mean it. I’ve fallen in love with you, Eddie Munson.”
The grin that overtook his face was an incredible sight. His eyes crinkling with the ferocity of it, happiness seeping from every pore. “I love you too, sweetheart. So fuckin’ much.”
The lunch bell must have rung out a long time ago, and you couldn’t find it within yourself to care. Not when you were kissing him like this, and he was returning them with a matching earnestness. You kissed until your lips were slightly bruised, barely coming up for air before coming back for more. So in love, your heart so full that it was a near ache. You only stopped when you felt the soft patters of rain on the crown of your head, looking up to find the skies a deep grey, threatening to let the heavens open. He helped you up onto wobbly legs, his arm around you as you made your way back to the school for shelter.
You noticed his apprehension as you got closer, and you knew exactly why. He was worried that if Jason saw you together, he would make both your lives hell. But with this little stunt your brother tired to pull, that kindling of rebellion had been well and truly set alight. You no longer wanted Jason to make decisions for you. Eddie Munson was the love of your life. And you didn’t give a single fuck who knew it. Placing your hand on his where it rested on your shoulder, you looked up at him with a smile. A silent plea to keep it there, and one he seemed to acknowledge as he pulled you closer.
“Can I come over tonight, after school?” you asked him, voice hopeful as you bit your lip.
“’Course you can,” he answered with a grin. “Was thinking about taking you for a milkshake at that diner you like, actually. Could drop by there before we get to mine, if you want?”
It was an invitation to go public, and you knew that. A lot of the teenagers at your school went to that diner, and it wouldn’t be long before word got back to your brother about your involvement with Eddie ‘The Freak’ Munson. But you couldn’t find it in yourself to care about that. Hope filled you as you tilted your head. “Like a date?”
“Like a date,” he echoed, pecking a kiss to your temple. “Never took you out on one before, and that’s kind of a shitty boyfriend move. How ‘bout it, sweetheart? Wanna finally have that first date I owe you?”
A grin spread over your features as the school finally came into view. You were about to walk the halls of Hawkins high, your boyfriend finally by your side and his arm over your shoulders, just like you finally wanted. Screw what anyone else wanted.
“I’d like that.”

i'm on my knees ppretty please elaborate the "stop looking at me like that" "fuck me eyes reader" you gagged me therapy is needed PLEASE
giggling mischievously…………. ok i actually hate what i wrote alot bye
abby used to like being busy. it distracted her from the torn apart world outside, having a fixed schedule and completing menial tasks gave her meaning. she was a creature of habit, and breaking a streak where she’d been super productive damaged her self esteem quite a bit.
however, since you’d come along she’d hated it. if she could spend all her time doing nothing with you, she would. but abby had people relying on her, so with or without you she had to get things done. you knew this, but it wouldn’t stop you from having your fun. if you couldn’t receive abby’s attention, you’d make sure she felt just as frustrated as you.
“abs when’re you gonna be free.” you clung onto her bicep as you caught her leaving the gym, damp from sweat.
she sighed, running a hand down her face. “i don’t know, it’s a busy day today. you’re gonna have to just deal, babe. yeah?” she seemed rushed, so you pout and let her go, watching her stride away.
you caught her again, the two of your schedules colliding when you’d be called in to help look at some maps to help plan a hunt. she looked so fucking good, her arms flexing as she’d lean against the table in concentration. you weren’t being much help, too busy ogling at your girlfriend. the way she’d take charge, using her brain to come up with the smartest route would turn you on, your teeth sinking into your bottom lip as you watched her speak. she would completely disregard you, focusing on the task at hand — and you hate to say it, but it kind of turned you on even more.
it had been like this all day, abby rushing around completing all her tasks and you — running into her wherever you got the chance to, touching her arm and batting your lashes at her. she was becoming increasingly more frustrated, so when you ran into her later in the day — giggling as you tagged along beside her, following her around like a lost puppy she knew she was going to have to put you in your place a little.
your shared friends walked up ahead, headed to their post as abby stayed behind with you, turning to you and crowding your body in against a brick wall.
“stop looking at me like that.” she scoffed, jaw tense. you furrowed your brows, eyes only growing more doe-like by the second.
“like what?” you pout and she took your jaw gently in her hand, prompting you to have no choice but to listen.
“like you want me to fuck the daylight out of you, when you know i’m busy.” she spoke between grit teeth.
“seems like that would benefit you right now, abby. you seem really tense.” you slide your hands over her broad shoulders, kneading the tense muscle beneath your fingers.
“you do realise that me pounding out my frustrations doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get what you want. i’d watch that mouth and start behaving myself, if i were you.” she brushed your hands off her, stepping back. abby looked you over, staring at you for a moment. the look of frustration was still there, but she was scanning to see if maybe she’d been too mean. she didn’t want to walk away having upset you.
a grin spread across your face like the cheshire cat before you replaced it with an innocent expression, blinking up at her almost mockingly. “you don’t have it in you to do that abs, i always get what i want.”
abby turned her head, watching owen turn back from afar to look at the two of you questioningly wondering what was taking abby so long. she leant in, tilting her head slightly, opening her mouth to speak but owens voice cut through, yelling from his distance calling her to hurry up. she sent you a look, storming away, and you knew you were in for it later.

you reblogged your whatta man masterlist🤨 dont play w my heart rn idk if i can handle it
I did reblog it! but not cause it’s done :( I was manifesting a good writing night which I think it might be! It’s not done yet, but hopefully within the next weekish. I’ll give you a lil snippet since it’s taking so long 💗
God you hated when Eddie was right.
Hazel eyes and freckles trail along his neck leading to small moles placed like the stars above you on his sun kissed skin and stubbled jaw. His chiseled nose runs down a narrow line with lips tinged pink like his cheeks, the expression on his face going from irritated to flirty in seconds flat.
“I’m - oh my god, I’m so sorry. I’m running late and no one is ever sitting there and I - Are you okay?” Talking a mile a minute, you silently scold yourself for acting like you’ve never seen a cute guy before.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa.” Raising his hands up to stop you, the press of your thighs is instant when you see the silver band wrapped around the thickness of his middle finger. “No apologies necessary honey, it was an accident.”
The endearment that leaves his mouth followed by the smirk that tugs at the corners of his lips makes you dizzy. Bending down to grab the stool off the ground a matching chain slips out from under his shirt, the glow above giving you a glimpse at the patch of thick chest hair hidden from sight.
“Besides, it’s not the first time a pretty girl has knocked me on my ass.” Folding his arms across his pecs, he leans against the brick of the bar crossing his legs at the ankles. The black boots that cover his feet look big and menacing despite his disposition.
Biting your bottom lip into a smile, you look up at him through shy lashes and you swear you hear him sigh at the sight.
“Well as long as your okay-“
“Steve.” He offers his name with the kind of smile that shows the whites of his teeth, a spark lighting in his eyes when he sees the way you react to it.
“Well you’ll probably see my face around here a lot.” you start to say doing your best to ignore the way your cheeks feel like they are on fire.
“I sure hope so.” Pulling a toothpick out of his back pocket, he slides it between his lips, jaw clenching when he bites down on the wood while his eyes roam your curves unashamed before offering you another grin.
Giggles bubble past your strawberry flavored lips making his grin widen. Tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, the muscles in your face hurt from how hard you’re smiling.
“I was gonna say, 'cause I live upstairs.” Your voice comes out sweet despite the teasing roll of your eyes as you point to your open window above.
He only breaks his stare to follow the path of your finger before all his attention is back on you. The tension growing thicker when he kicks off the wall. The soles of his boots are loud against the pavement when he closes the distance between you with two long strides. Getting close enough to smell the cinnamon on his breath, and the expensive cologne that lingers on his clothes, you forget all about your date waiting for you inside.
“Eddie’s told me all about you.” Using the tip of his tongue to push the toothpick to the other side of his mouth, his smirk tells you all you need to know.
“That’s funny, Eddie’s told me about you too.” Tracing your tongue over your top lip, you taste the fruit of your gloss as you look up at him from under hooded lids. “Steve.”

Tonight was just what you needed after the long hard day you had. Having a few drinks and dinner with your girl just made everything better.
Seeing her face and beautiful smile always made you smile. Her work stories combined with the inflection she put behind her storytelling made you laugh. It wasn’t easy to do…making you laugh. But she did it with ease.
You loved her.
This was all new to you; forming attachments was considered a sign of weakness and you weren’t weak. You were a marine; you’ve killed people and have done many morally questionable things but she accepted you and you loved her endlessly for it.
Down the long skinny hallway, you made your way to the men's room as the tension eased throughout your body.
Emerging from the hallway after you were finished, you noticed a man standing, and swaying, next to your high top table. You saw him at the corner of the bar when you walked in, pounding back beer like it was his job.
He had his hand wrapped tightly around her wrist. The look she had on her face told you she was scared as she tried to pull her wrist free from his grip.
Suddenly your teeth were clenched together. You couldn’t even breathe, you were so angry. The scorching glare you gave the man was intense and could have burned a hole in the back of his head with the rage you felt burning the back of your eyes.
You weren’t going to let anyone put their hands on her without consequences.
Your skin was hot to the touch as the heat rose to your cheeks and your body seized with anger. Being protective was in your nature especially when it came to her. Sometimes you would react without thinking it all the way through but as long as she would be safe, you didn’t care who you had to hurt.
You needed to protect her.
She didn’t even see you coming; your presence took her by surprise as you stalked toward the table. Grabbing the man by the hair, you pulled his head back and slammed it hard into the table. Faintly, you heard empty beer bottles hit the floor and felt pieces of broken glass underneath your shoes.
Y/n hopped up off of her barstool and backed away from the table. You could feel her staring at you; relief and panic flashed in her eyes. She was scared of what you might to do to him.
Still holding the drunk by his hair, you pinned one of his arms against his lower back, slammed him up against the brick wall, and aggressively pulled on his extended arm. You knew you could break it easily if you pulled back just far enough. Your devilish smile curled up enough to reveal gnashed teeth.
You would enjoy breaking his arm.
As you continued to pull back on the man’s arm, he cried out in pain.
“You think you can just put your hands on women whenever you feel like it, you piece of shit.” You said in an angry hushed tone.
She probably tried her hardest to get him to let her go before you returned from the men’s room. She knew how you would react. Shit, you fired a guy at Anvil for staring at her ass too long, let alone someone putting their hands on her.
You hissed in his ear, “Apologize to her or I’m gonna break your arm and make sure it will never be the same after tonight.”
Her voice sounded distant even though she was close by; you were trying to block out all of the excess noise.
“Billy!! He’s not worth it. I’m alright!” You think she said.
The drunk was in agony as you were still forcefully pulling on his arm. If you tugged a little more, it would be broken.
Her words were unclear like she was saying them underwater.
“APOLOGIZE NOW!!” You yelled.
“I’M SORRY!! I’M SORRY!! I’M SORRY!!” He wailed.
The drunk hit the ground hard after you released him and he was promptly thrown out as you rushed to see if y/n was alright.
Looking closely at her wrist, you knew she would eventually have a bruise there. She was ok but her eyes were turned down and sad. Her eyebrows were raised while she gazed at you as if she was looking to see if YOU were alright. After nearly being assaulted by a drunk, she was concerned about you because she loved you.
No one had ever done anything like that for you before. She asked you all the time how you were, she asked how your day was, she would even bring you coffee down to the office sometimes, and so much more.
She actually cared about you and what happened to you.
You knew what it was like to grow up with nothing and not have anyone to count on or protect you. And the one thing you treasured more than anything in this world was threatened tonight.
You finally found someone that you could count on and you didn’t want to let her go. You would fight off every drunk in the city if it meant you could inhale the scent of her perfume every day, see her toothbrush next to yours, and hear her infectious laugh.
Maybe those were selfish reasons; you didn’t care if they were because love was something you had been searching for your entire life so you would go to the ends of the earth to protect her.
The void in your heart was no longer empty. Your scars were permanent but they didn’t hurt anymore, especially the invisible one on your heart because it belonged to her now; it always will and you knew she would protect it, just like you protected her.
She had filled every hollow space, not with temporary fixes like sex but with love and no one was going to take that love away from you. Not now…not ever.

Paranoid
"Don't walk away from me. Hey, I'm talking to you?" Kenny pulled his shoulder.
Cartman spun around and flinched back. "Will you fuck off already?! Jesus, take a hint." He brushed his shoulder down, sighing dramatically. "And don't touch me." He turned back around to head out.
Getting desperate, Kenny jumped in front of him. Blocking his path, he held his hands out in surrender. "Cartman, please. This is way too deep, even for you. I can't let you do this, I just can't. You need to step away from this."
A huff and an angry grumble, Cartman tried to walk around him. "It's happening. Get over it."
He paced backwards, trying to convince him. "I know you got issues. I know you don't like talking about them, but listen to me. I get it, all right? I really do, I get this feeling in my chest sometimes and I've got this theory-"
"Oh my fucking god, dude." Cartman ran a hand down his face. "I'm warning you, Kenny. Seriously, get out of my way. I need to leave."
Kenny leaned in so he was sure nobody else could hear. Cartman wasn't listening. How could he keep offering to help, when the guy refused to listen? He had no other option. He needed to exploit the root of the problem. "Is this about Kyle?"
"What?" Cartman shot him a look of disgust. "The fuck are you talking about." He grit his teeth and walked through him.
The look itself told Kenny everything. Again, he jumped in front of him. "It is, I know it is. Listen, Eric, I know what you're feeling. I've been through it too. It's hard, but If you just talk to him about it, then-"
"Call me that again and you're gonna get a fucking slap." Cartman interrupted, hating the idea of Kenny calling him by his first name. There was only one person in his life who was special enough to call him Eric, and that was the mother that gave birth to him.
Kenny knew it was all talk. He knew Cartman wouldn't hit him, despite the convincing threats. "You're really gonna throw away your entire life over this?! I understand that you're angry, but I'm telling you, this right here? It's not the way to do things."
Cartman was so bored with the conversation that he turned the other way when being spoken to. He was trying his best to suppress himself and hold back, but his head was getting too hot. It was about to explode.
Trailing behind, Kenny continued to poke and prod. "Do you want me to tell him? Do you want me to tell Kyle? Because I will. If it gets you to stop, I don't care anymore. I'll tell him, Cartman."
"He already knows." Cartman said, assuming he was talking about his plan.
"Oh, he knows? Knows what, that you're completely obsessed with him? That you get a raging hard on whenever he sits next to you?" He grabbed his junk to demonstrate, despite Cartman not even looking at him. "Yeah, like I haven't noticed by the way, or wait a minute. Did you tell him about how you're so deep in the closet that you don't even know you're in there? You tell him that too?" When the words left his mouth, he stopped. Closed his mouth. Swallowed hard.
A cheap shot. It took a moment for Cartman to register what was said and it took him by complete surprise. But then when he turned around, he looked at Kenny like he wanted to kill him. That was it. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. Kenny didn't even attempt to stop him when his collar was grabbed. Cartman made him walk backwards before launching him across a nearby lunch table.
Kenny tumbled from one table to another and then hit the floor like a tonne of bricks. Chairs flew back when he tried to grab onto something to prevent the fall, but found himself being completely disorientated. Nearby students scattered from their seats, preparing for a fight to break out.
Cartman's eyes were fierce with tunnel vision. His teeth were spitting venom and his erratic breathing had a quiet growl to it. The anger stayed with him a few seconds more and then it suddenly left him. The room fell quiet. He looked around to see all sorts of people staring at him, as if he had gone completely mad. It was then, when he realized what he had done.
His eyes fell on Kenny, who was on the floor, stunned in position and waiting for something to happen. Cartman didn't say anything to him, he couldn't find the words. He looked at his shaking hands and Kenny could see this dreaded look in his eye. It was the look of fear.
The brunette backed away slowly and rushed to the nearest exit.
"Are you okay, Kenny?" Someone asked. Kenny mumbled out a yeah and he got to his feet.
Across the room, Craig already had his eye on the two. He knew some kind of argument was happening, judging by their body language. To him, it looked as though Kenny was trying to stop Cartman from leaving. Either that, or Kenny was just being annoying. He did consider that.
But then he saw Kenny go flying and he immediately jumped out of his seat.
Chapter 28. <<<<<< to see the rest :-) ty to everyone!! cant believe its been that long already lol

Wednesday Addams x female reader part two.
Tumblr media
The rain sinks the dark deep black umbrella the girl watches as the rain pours with a drowsy breeze. Wednesday let out a sigh at the morning due. Her hand feeling the cold wind and rain patterning on her slim cold fingers and pale hand. “We should go it’s almost time.” Wednesday looks down at the severed hand with bruises and stitches keeping it together it taps its finger translating into a sentence. “You came out here for her, you thought she was dead now after all these years your not gonna fight for her?” The hand had said the raven haired girl gritted her teeth her single hand almost breaking the umbrella. “What’s done is done thing I will not focus all of my time on some petty feeling.”
Thing doesn’t reply only follows after the translucent girl that made her way back to the old dark car that her father and mother had bought just for her. The driver sat patiently as the girl got in. “Take me to the green house.” The raven demanded.
Without a word the driver starts the engine and follows down a dark brick road. Thing watches from afar. He know she misses the girl dearly but one thing he knew was that she’d never admit it. So he sat watching as the roles take place.
The trees grew thicker and so had the rain, they’ve made it to the green house. Wednesday thanked the driver as she set off on her own. She looks to the air taking in a deep breath before she looks to the floor. “Paw prints?” She asked herself. She leans over taking in the dirt and her surroundings. “There fresh…20 to 10 minutes ago they where here but who would know of this place.” She bit the inside of her cheek as her eyes lit up.
“Y/N” the name rolled off her tongue like a precious Jewel. “Why is she here.” The girl stood slowly as she started following the tracks.
They led to a trail with fallen leaves and broken up branches. And not to far the sound of a water fall could be groveled to. It sure was soothing but that wasn’t what she looked for not right now. Thing follows far behind curiosity taking the best of him as they stop “what’s wrong?” He asked through minor taps. “The tracks end here.” She says not bothering to even spare a glance at the old beaten up hand.
“Shall we continue anyway?” He asked tapping a number of eighteen times. “Yes we shall.” Wednesdays voice was hallow as if she were upset about something…maybe even a bit disappointed. Maybe she wished to see you? Or could it be that her since of adventure was taking its toll on her? Either way thing was sure curious to see how this would play out.
So the two continue down the small path the water fall becoming more apparent as they walked closer to it. It seemed as if the rain was reflecting on Wednesdays mood if thing had known better he’d say that she was gloomy a sad feeling swirling within her stomach but why? Why had the young braided haired girl been so unbelievably unhappy? He doesn’t know but will play the quite game of patience.
They stop at and open filed of rocks flowers trees circling the area and a distant water fall in view just over the trees and horizon. Wednesday looks back to thing as he seems alarmed “what’s wrong thing?” She asked raising a brow at her unnatural friend. “I think we should leave.” He taps she bits her lip as she turns to him “what why?”
The loud howl seems to be the exact reason. Thing hurriedly crawls into the girl bag hiding himself from the dangers of that thing.
“What are you doing here Addams.”
Wednesday felt a presence lurking from behind her. Chills ran down her spine at the voice a very familiar one at that “L/N” she turns around only to be face to face with a huge timber wolf it’s yellowish and golden fur unnatural with black and gray staining the highlights. “Why are you here you know this is MY land.” The wolf stood tall as if she had to she was already huge. Wednesday took note of the damp fur. “I’m here because I can, and why are you here it has never really been YOUR land since the beginning. And it seems you’ve been out here for a while.” The wolf licks it’s lips. Water poring from its snout.
“Maybe it would be easier in human form?” Wednesday threw a pats of spare clothes were had she gotten that from thing thought.
“Give me a minute.”
….
The girl came out of the trees with a brown hoodie and black pants. “So Addams came to give up finally bow to your supporter?” The girl was smug as she crossed her arms. Wednesday only places her bag down and folded her umbrella. “You’ll have to fight me for it.” The girl finds herself standing between life and death on multiple occasions but this, this was way to far. What was she thinking?
The girl smiled with the wolf his grin “all right bring it on Addams!”
The wolf girl was the first to throw a blow only missing by an inch Wednesday, countered it by kicking the girl in the stomach. She fell back. I’ll need to pick her self up again throwing her legs at Wednesday.
But there’s no use knowing that the girl would be faster than her at least in human form. The girl couldn’t catch up to Wednesdays skills. but nonetheless she tried. Only earning a punch to her face y/n groaned in pain as her nose leaked “you little!” She was angry throwing mindless punches. Only letting herself fall into the mud more times than she should “your not focused and your weak y/n and I thought this was going to be a challenge.” Wednesday said in an unamused voice. “Am I boring you Addams?” The girl huffed dragging her self up outta that mud and wiping the blood from her busted lip. “Perhaps.” The girl said shamelessly.
As she closed her eyes. Y/n smiled trying to kick the girl but was only pulled into a close proximity now face to face with the pale face. Y/n relaxed her face her eyes looking over Wednesdays hungrily. Wednesday did the same “y/n…” she mumbled pulling the girl only closer. “Come back to us mi amor.” Wednesday spoke with such raw emotions that it shook thing to his none existent core. “You know I can’t wens…” y/n said regretfully the girl backing away her eyes filled with such a dreadful and sad emotion. “But you can y/n please come back to us…thing misses you so much.” Was Wednesday begging?
Yes yes she was. And it was painful to watch as the girl sprawled back and forth finally y/n yelled out “I just can’t Wednesday! How fucking dumb can you be I-I never wanted you so leave me alone!” The frustrating guilt spilling from your eyes as you spat insults and stupid so stupid remarks that you knew weren’t true but even if it hurts you to say even if you cried yourself to sleep at night while Wednesday lays wide away with the screaming torture why can’t two souls find there way?
Why can’t they just connect at the other reaches out while you. Your run away as fast as you could “Y/n y/n please!” Wednesdays throat hurts but she doesn’t care. Her legs burn as she chases after you like a lost dog at sea she reaches to you but fails.
She always does.
Even now even in her none existent dreams she can have you she can’t breath she can’t reach for you as your figure fades away. Thing watches from a far waiting for the day light and dark will collide once more.
Like it had once before.
Wednesday return to the room drenched in mud and water. Dirty looks and curious mummers. She takes a shower releasing her stress brushing her hair out before placing on a new pair of clean and warm clothes. She finds herself holding onto a necklace from all those years ago. She curled up into a ball letting her heavy eyes close. Only to miss the girl in the windows the girl that thing catches a broke. Soul holding out a hand waiting for one another to grab it.
So when will she when will she be able to hold a lost lovers hand?
The girl frowns as she cups the necklace kissing the metal before moving along. So thing sits thing sit and waits for the next play to set itself in stone. Hell wait for the day he gets to see Wednesdays shamelessly loving you.
But one question still remains who’s paw prints were those if you had been there for hours?
Part 3?

the average nutritional value of road salt and the inside of a 9 millimeter casing
i have a secret
i have a secret and i’ve never managed to look my father in the eye while admitting it
and i’d rather spit in your face than tell it to you in confidence
the kind of secret you drag bodily into your grave and hope your stomach buries before the dirt gets that far
i have a secret i’d rather die than tell you and you’re about to figure it out
two and two make four, you can do this slugger
and there is glass in my fingers and slush warming itself on my ankles
and you're staring me down with shaking fingers
and between the two of us i’m pretty sure you’d vomit first if i smiled with my whole mouth
and you’re still just fucking standing there with my life in your hands like it was hard to grab
(i’m wondering idly if there’s enough money in my wallet to palm to you)
(enough to ask you to pull the trigger wavering between my right eye and collarbone)
(the odds of it hitting somewhere solid enough to kill me fast)
(the potential energy of a prayer so i can die, godless but quickly)
(god let me die quickly. god please turn the knife from somewhere i won’t see it coming)
there are spots in my memory like cheap film reel and there’s blood on the ground between us
and i can’t remember whose it is
there’s a copper smell in my mouth and ringing in my ears and i think that might be real
but there’s this look on your face like i bit your mother, or maybe just you
and there’s blood all over the fucking place
and despite who’s holding the gun i don’t think it’s mine
streetlights are creeping down the alleyway like overbearing parents and they’re glinting roughly off every surface they can reach
yellow-white fuzz growing off windows and chainlink fences and a tire well
i can see the back half of a car around your wobbling knees
some old tanker halfway up the sidewalk and throughly in the mouth of the alleyway
i think i'm blacking out and i am so fucking scared i am about to miss my own death and
(i can’t stop staring at the grey-green car)
(paint glittering like soft chalk, somewhere between colors and my legs twinge underneath me)
(cramped and clawing and aching softly, the body willing the spirit to stir, to rise)
(to cross pavement like a dead man, to stumble, upwards and over)
(to rap a line of knuckles against the window, to see if it would break, if anyone is still sitting inside)
(if anyone is about to hear a murder from all the distance of two-hundred feet and a corner office)
(i can’t pull my gaze away, even as the muzzle flashes with the streetlamp mold)
(black then grey than white-gold and gone, sunk into the sea of dark static that surges when i turn my head that far)
(i haven’t been able to see out of my right eye for a couple of minutes now)
it’s not snowing
it’s not snowing anymore
i don’t know why it matters
why relief lives in a clear, starless sky waving down at a blood-smeared alleyway
where my knees hurt and my teeth hurt and i am not in any pain that is going to mean anything
i don’t know how much of me is mixed in with the grime and the slush and the gravel and i’m starting to suspect it doesn’t matter
because i’m pretty sure i’m gonna die here regardless
because it’s skin to cold to nothing, because i cannot feel my mouth
enough of my throat left to know i am not speaking aloud
enough of me left to shiver and ache and watch you from somewhere on the ground
even as the wind tugs hair loose from the smear of blood spilling into your eyes
as mine sting and blister under the care of spilt ends and a breeze made of glass
and i’m starting to think the glass isn’t real
(It’s shredding my mouth and melting in my throat)
(cool and thin and lukewarm while it pools in my stomach)
(a faint whistle from the mouth of the alleyway, deadened in this brick maw of service doors)
(i am half dead and slack jawed and overwhelmingly grateful)
(because from this angle i can slide my gaze far enough over to meet yours)
and i much prefer the version of this encounter
where you are gifted the view of my death
and not just the view of you killing me

Chapter 21: Prep and Plan
Hey guys!
Not much to say here to be honest, but it's time to get rolling and start exploring more of the Wildlands has to offer! Hope you like this chapter!
Let's jump in!
Tumblr media
----------
“ -Gonna be around 70 F, slight instability in the air so there might be some ra- Oh hey! Kestrel’s back!”
I hear Dove holler out as he stands on top of one of the trailers like a meerkat. Huh, seems like he acts as the weather bird for the rest. Not surprised that the air Conduit has weather duty, probably knows about what’s going on in the sky as I do on a given day, maybe more. Mako and Pangolin look up from a checklist to see the two of us and Mako gives us a wave before looking at Kestrel.
“Finally decided to come out of your hole and join everyone else, you gremlin?” Mako teases the Gunsmith, prompting an eye-roll from the older woman.
“Pot calling the kettle black, weeb-gremlin.” Kes snips back with a grin, earning a “Touche” from Mako as Kes walks over. “Besides, you saw I was busy with a project.” The banter between Zeke and I when I blew up a gas station in Empire City echoes in my mind, but I shake my head to clear it before it can take root, not the time or place.
“So that’s what you’re calling it now, hm?” I roll my eyes at Mako’s comment. Oh God, she’s still on about that? I shake my head before I see Kes grab at Mako and the two have a rousing tussle with each-other, both grappling, pushing and pulling to try and knock the other over. I can see Pangolin about to step up to break them up, but the playful laughter tells both of us that this is just some horseplay between friends. I can’t help but to chuckle at their antics.
As the play fight breaks up, I feel my hackles raise as I watch Pangolin walk over to Kestrel. I watch him try to initiate some small talk and pleasantries, but the Gunsmith completely ignores him, instead deciding to busy herself with packing up some of the stuff into the trailers, I can see Mako giving Kes a concerned look and Dove is shaking his head at Pangolin’s attempts at making nice.
Part of me is very happy that somebody actually listened to me without me having to crack heads. If I am to be honest, outside of Mako, Kestrel has been the only one to really listen to me without having to use more… Aggressive means. Though I’m not blind to potential issues, if this extends to more critical communication, it will end badly. I make a mental note to take the Gunsmith aside to give her a little pep talk.
“So… I saw you were working on Cole’s weapon…” The brick dumbass awkwardly tries to talk to Kestrel. This idiot can’t take a hint, can he? God, this is painful to watch… She straight up ignored him when he was trying to start small talk with her, what makes him think that continuing on is going to help? “How is that going?” The bird exhales loudly through her nose before forcing a smile, baring her hyena teeth as a subtle threat.
“Well.” She starts with a growl. “If you absolutely, positively must know… I’ve run into a little bit of a snag. Not like you’d give a shit, since it’s not your precious pile of scrap, but I need to make a trip to Tri-Point so I can have access to some key components to complete the repair.” Pangolin looks like he’s about to say something, looking annoyed at Kes’ abrasiveness, but thankfully his little brother comes in clutch to save his dumb ass.
“That actually sounds like a good idea!” Dove chimes as he perches on the top of the lead vehicle like a gargoyle. “We can head back to our old stomping grounds, say hi to everyone, restock on other supplies and give our folks the good news about that bastard monster being dead!” Mako smiles and nods in agreement. Pangolin sighs, finally seeing that he's not gonna be talking to Kes.
“Yeah, it would be nice to visit mom and dad.” Pangolin mutters. “I know mom was worried sick about us with the Summoner running amok, she was about ready to come with if we didn’t tell her about our plan.” Kes seems to be holding back a little bit of a snicker before making her face neutral again.
I watch as the lanky beansprout leap from his perch on the top of the trailer onto Pangolin’s back, part amused just by the sight of this overgrown spider monkey perching on top of the shit brickhouse, part impressed by the fact that Pangolin barely budged when his brother landed onto him. Dove pulls out a small device from his backpack and shows it to Pangolin.
“Okay, so if we’re set on going to Tri-Point, we have a couple of options. Of course we can take the highways, but I wouldn’t recommend it, Bandits and all.” He states as he fiddles with the small gadget, I’m assuming it’s some sort of GPS.
“Then we straight-shot it.” Pangolin replies. “The HEMTT can handle rocky terrain, it may not be the smoothest or most comfortable of trips, but it’ll be the fastest.” Dove nods in consideration, but then I see Mako raise her hand a bit.
“Um, we might wanna think about this a little bit more.” She states with a bit of worry in her voice. Uh-oh… “Word on the wind is that Warped populations have spiked heavily around the Storm’s Pass area. Things are getting a little bit ugly, so we need to be careful.” Great, more zombies. I can’t help but to groan in my mind. I have to wonder if this spike means more of those tumor-monsters…
“Guys, this isn’t our first rodeo with these fuckers.” Kes interjects. “The worst of the lot only come out at night, as long as we set up camp at night and don’t go wandering off when the sun goes down, we should be fine.”
“So says the one who wanders off every time she sees something shiny or glowy.” Mako teases. Kestrel rolls her eyes.
“Hey, even I’m not impulsive enough to go out during a Warped Spike at night. I still have the scars from the last time my crow-brain decided to make checks my ass couldn’t cash.” I can feel the side of my lips twitch upwards as I watch the two banter with each-other. “I didn’t hear the end of it for a week!”
“That’s because you came back with half-inch deep bite-marks in your leg! Any deeper and you would have bled out!” Mako shouts.
“But I didn’t.”
“Can we please get back on topic?” Pangolin grunts. “Warped or not, we still need to work out the route!” Kestrel gives a huff before the others start to chatter on about routes. I see Kes whisper something into Mako’s ear before she nods to the bird.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Kes leave the group. I follow behind, seeing this as an opportunity to talk to the bird. When I walk around I see she’s putting away some more of her gear.
“Hey Kes, a word?” I ask as she throws a large duffle bag into the trailer, she turns her head and hums before cocking her head, eyebrows furrowed, but eyes curious. “S’nothing bad, just a little pep talk.”
“What’s up?” She responds as she walks over, popping her knuckles a little.
“Couldn’t help but to notice there’s a little bit of break-down in communication with Pangolin, wanted to see what was going on outside of the rift.” I point out, her eyes now become confused.
“I just don’t wanna talk to him, I haven’t forgiven him yet, so why should I?” Her confusion grows. “Thought you said it was okay not to forgive if I’m not ready?”
“I’m aware.” I state. “And I still stand by that. The issue is that you can’t really just completely shut down communications full stop in your situation. You are part of a team with him and teammates need to talk to each-other to keep everyone safe.” I can see her head tilt more, her eyes watching me. The mental image of a cat turning their ears towards a sound to listen pops into my head as I continue. “I’m not saying you have to be all buddy-buddy with the blockhead, just keep talks to business only type things until you’re ready.”
“Mmmm.” She hums in understanding while nodding her head before rubbing the back of her head. “Yeah… I was actually going to ask about that… Learning the hard way about the importance of clear communication, even if the person you’re communicating to is on your shit-list…” She murmurs sheepishly. I shake my head.
“Yeah… For the both of us.” I say with a light chuckle. “Hey, aren’t we supposed to drop that?” I remind, but this time in a more light hearted tone, knowing she didn’t bring it up as an attack, but as an acknowledgement of a lesson hard-learned.
“Yeah, I suppose we are… But that doesn’t mean we forget the lessons.” She chimes gently. I nod my head in agreement. I feel my habit of patting backs come up, but seeing as I’m not quite sure how Kes feels about being touched, I keep my hands to myself. Settling for a simple chuckle and a nod.
“Hey, hotheads!” I hear Mako call out as I stow away the container that held the Amp into the trailer I’m going to be bunking in for the trip.  “I don’t know what kind of smooching or whatever you two are doing over there, but get your asses back over here! Huddle up!” My mind stutters as I try to think of a response.
“Oh my god, MAKO!!” I hear Kestrel shout. “Just because a couple of people go off on their own for five minutes doesn’t mean they’re in the middle of playing tonsil hockey! Good god, get your head out of the gutter, will you?!” I hold back a little bit of a snort and roll my eyes. So it’s one of those kinds of friendships, huh?
A small flicker of a memory flashes by, of Zeke with his binoculars and me asking him if he was spying on some chick in the shower. I smile sadly at the thought, but I shake it out of my head before following the Gunsmith out.
We join back up in the huddle and Dove pulls the modified GSP thing, showing a straight-shot going from Droptown to this new Tri-Point place… Wait, isn’t Tri-Point in Oklahoma City? Question marks fill my head until Dove speaks up.
“Alright, here’s the plan, we’re gonna straight-line it the best we can from here to Tri-Point, wanna avoid highways and other roadways as much as possible as bandits like to prowl those areas and while I’m sure we can handle them, they’ll just slow us down…” The Dove turned parrot chimes. “We’re gonna have to clip the top of Texas, but it’s the quickest route.” Everyone murmurs and nods before Pangolin speaks up. I hope he doesn’t say something stupid.
“Unfortunately, due to a spike in Warped activity and numbers, we’re going to have to restrict our movements. Once the sky goes dark, we stay put. No travel, no night missions, no wandering off.” Pangolin states with a firm voice. “Some of the meanest and the heaviest hitters of the Warped come out at night as they are sensitive to UV. Best not get into any unneeded scuffles with those bastards so we can get to Tri-Point as quickly as possible.”
I could hear the screeches and the roars of the Corrupted in my head as Pangolin talks about the Night Warped, memories of the swamp monsters barrelling through the Rebel camp as the “Dunbar Beam” as Zeke called it burned through the bastards like a magnifying glass roasting an ant. I want to say something, but I decide to keep it to myself.
With the briefing finished, Pangolin dismisses us. All of us disperse to their respective trailers and I follow Dove to his since that’s where I’m bunking for the trip. As I make my way to the trailer, my mind doesn’t stop thinking about what the brick armadillo said about those Warped becoming worse at night… They were already a pain in the ass as is… And the less spoken about the tumor monster or the “Summoner” as it’s being called, the better… How can they get any worse?
As I hop into the trailer and shut the door behind me, a more important question echoes in my head… Do I really want to know?
The HEMTT rolls out as I ponder. In truth, I don’t think I do.

if ur fine with it 💍w/scara? my personality is pretty meh imo, im mostly extroverted and very talkative. if i’m honest i’m pretty ambitious with a lot of things and i’m very self disciplined according to my close relatives and friends. also i’m pretty confident in myself but not overly confident to the point i’ll start doing the most stupidest things. i also believe im well organized so i’ll freak tf out if everything is a mess (one time i had a mental breakdown bc i forgot to clean my room before going to school). also i’m pretty rude on a surface level, since i unintentionally insult people right in front of them. though with closer friends im very gentle n kind with them, i’ll show a lot of affection to them even in public. that’s mostly it so now moving to the hobby parts, personally i don’t think i have one? since mostly i’m studying, but if i do have free time i’ll either make plans with friends or play video games. i do have a little talent for the piano, i’m pretty mid at it but i can play a few songs. mostly i don’t have time to explore hobbies since i have extracurricular activities and studying💔 + some stuff wit my personality i forgot to add. whenever i pursue something i’m definitely not gonna take any break until i’m close to achieving it :)
(mb if i didn't pay much attention to your personality traits/hobbies, i was simply busy thinking of little things the two of you would do. i hope i incorporated enough to satisfy you, and make up for how long it took me to push out this post...)
pushing him in a shopping cart
at first, he protests. a lot. but he’ll get into the cart eventually, only because you’d bug him for the next week or so if he didn't. lowkey has to hold onto the side of the cart because you’re definitely going to go zooming down the aisles. he’s the one who grabs the stuff while you’re just having the time of your life. y’all get called out by the employees later but it was worth it :)
helping him paint his nails black bc he's going thru an emo phase
scaramouche does not see the appeal of bright colors. he himself prefers black, white, and grey, which are all simple and monotonous colors. like him/j. which is probably why his wardrobe looks like it went through the black and white snapchat filter. he even paints his nails black, or, well, attempts to. his adoptive little sister, qiqi, paints her nails black as well, because she wants to be like gege too. you end up painting both of their nails some of the time, and then yall post pics of you guys flaunting your nails like "don't mess with the emo bitches."
holding hands on the bus together
since your school is far, and most definitely not walking-distance, your friendly little neighbor (yall live in the same neighborhood) and you end up walking and waiting at the bus stop quite often, unless scaramouche's mom isn't too occupied with her girlfriend to drive him to school. you'll purposely sit next to him, just to piss him off, which works, but he'll take your hand in his anyways. if you breathe a word about it to anyone, though, he'll murder you.
cooking/baking (burning the house down) and failing miserably at it
he takes after his mum (ei), so i wouldn't suggest letting this emo boy within six feet of a stove or oven. of course, you ddin't know how bad it was until the two of you attempted to bake a birthday cake for his sister, qiqi. everything was going smoothly (minus the eggshells in the cake batter) until someone forgot to look after the oven. the cake (obviously) was ruined, burned black and was as hard as a brick. still, you had to make do with what you had, and scaramouche did some pretty decent icing work, even though qiqi refused to eat it, saying it'd break her teeth. another time, the two of you attempted to make a simple stir-fry, and apparently, scaramouche didn't understand that you had to stir slowly and carefully so that the food inside wouldn't spill out...you two ended up cleaning cabbage and chicken off of the stove for the rest of the night.
babysitting his (adoptive) sister qiqi
since ei is often busy at work and with her new girlfriend (pretty woman, her name's yae miko), scaramouche often finds himself looking after qiqi on his own. she doesn't really bug him while he's doing his homework, thankfully, but he does feel a tiny bit bad about leaving her with nothing to do. that's your cue. he'd call you to come over, and the two of you will probably just watch movies, play sorry or monopoly (scaramouche always seems to get bumped back or in jail), and stuff your faces with the chocolate ice cream in the fridge, even though ei specifically said no chocolate for qiqi. but rules were meant to be broken, no? and besides, he had to spoil his little sister some of the time, didn't he?
neat. 👏 freak. 👏 couple.
i swear, yall are a couple of fucking neat freaks (no offense). there ain't a spick of dust or a single pencil out of place in your guys' rooms and it CREEPS. ME. OUT. ahem, anyways. if your room (or his) ended up becoming dirty (which would probably never really happen to you, more on his side anyways), he'd probably help clean it up, but its mostly just you two vibing to the spotify playlist he set up.
he'll listen to you play the piano
whenever he's not busy, he'll pull up a seat next to you and just, quietly watch you play. he never comments about it, but if qiqi is in the same room, she'll clap her hands together slowly. she's actually quite fond of your piano music, and will probably ask you to teach 'gege' so he can teach her.
ngl, you probably insulted him
i'm not even gonna mince words here. you probably insulted him on his first day at your school. "damn, what happened to your horomones?" he glared at you and said that not all guys got the best of the gene pool. your day-to-day interactions with him at school has probably been mostly just you talking down on him and him just shooting insults right back at you 💀
he has to deal with you overworking yourself
he'll find you, laid out on your table, with exam papers spread out under your arms, snoring like a beast (no offense if you don't snore like that, or you don't snore at all-) and will gently place a blanket over you, along with a chaste forehead kiss. "the only reason you get better grades than me is because you overwork yourself so much," he'll murmur under his breath as he quickly finishes off whatever project or homework assignment you'd been working on.
matching bunny hats (yk, the ones w/the floppy ears <33)

Make This Right
~1150 words. Sora/Kairi. Set during KH2. Sora and Kairi POV. Angst, Romance, Longing, Pining, Introspection. For SoKai Week 2022, Day 3: KH2 or Days.
Summary: Sora blames himself for Kairi getting kidnapped, and Kairi blames herself. But the prospect of seeing each other again motivates them to continue on their journeys.
Tumblr media
Kairi was gone. Missing. Kidnapped because Sora wasn’t there to protect her. He’d taken too long to find Riku and bring him home, and this was the result.
He stumbled a little on the cobblestone streets of Twilight Town and had to brace himself against the brick wall of a building. Teeth gritted, he asked himself the questions that he’d been avoiding ever since Hayner and Olette had given him the news. Why couldn’t Kairi be safe? Why did his enemies always target her? Would they be after her forever because of him?
“Sora!” Donald and Goofy’s voices called out from behind him.
He plastered on a smile. “I’m going on ahead, meet you there!” he said, then took off for the Gummi Ship. He just really needed a moment to himself, and he didn’t want Donald and Goofy to see him break down. He felt weak and helpless enough as it was.
He kept the smile on as he ran past the residents of Twilight Town and waved to them. But the moment he was safely inside the Gummi Ship, the “keep it together, Sora,” mask came off, and he sank into his chair and buried his face in his hands.
He never knew how much helplessness felt like… felt like rage. What he was feeling now, it was exactly how he felt when he transformed into that Heartless-like thing. The loss of control, the burning anger, the desire to kick and claw and crawl and scream. He wanted to blame someone, anyone for what had happened.
But the only person in the cockpit was himself. He never should’ve left Kairi alone on Destiny Islands. He thought she’d be safe, but how could she be with both him and Riku gone? With no one left to protect her?
He pulled out her lucky charm, and hot tears welled up in his eyes. All his anger and frustration and shame dripped down his cheeks and landed on the thalassa shells. Stupid, stupid, stupid, was the mantra going through his head as he banged his fist agains the chair. Axel was stupid, the Organization was stupid, but most of all he was stupid. Stupid and weak and helpless for letting Kairi get kidnapped like this.
Once that was out of his system, he felt worse than ever—hollow and empty with a dull ache in his chest. He missed Kairi more than ever. Wanted to see her and hold her hand and maybe even give her a hug. But he couldn’t, and even if he could, he didn’t deserve that. He didn’t deserve any of that.
He heard rather than saw Donald and Goofy come in. Time to clear his throat and wipe his eyes and pretend he hadn’t just been crying like a useless weakling. But he couldn’t bear to look his friends in the eye and clutched the arms of his chair instead.
“Sora?” Goofy said, his voice really gentle as he took a seat next to him. “What’s wrong?”
Somehow Goofy being nice like that made him lose it all over again. “The King, Riku—” He hung his head, his voice breaking. “—and now I’ve lost Kairi again too.”
Fresh tears spilled down his cheeks. The King’s loss and Riku’s loss hurt, but Kairi’s hurt worst of all. What good was traveling around and seeing all these worlds if she was kidnapped and he couldn’t even see her?
“Don’t be sad!” Donald said, but his words didn’t really help. Until Sora found Kairi again, he was gonna be sad. That was just how having a heart worked. And no amount of faking a smile and hiding his pain could mask his sadness forever.
“Donald’s right, you know!” Goofy said. “Why, you’re the key that connects everything!”
Sora’s heart sank even further. “So it’s all MY fault.” Donald and Goofy blamed him too then. Well, they were right. He deserved the blame. He deserved it for not finding the King and Riku, for letting Kairi get kidnapped—
“Gawrsh, I didn’t mean that,” Goofy hurriedly replied. “Just do what comes natural to ya and we’re sure to find ‘em.”
Oh, so that was what Goofy meant. Not that it was Sora’s fault they were all missing, but that he would be the key to finding them. Was Goofy right? Maybe. He wanted Goofy to be right. He wanted to be the key to finding his friends. To rescuing Kairi. He wanted his heart to guide him along the right path.
“You said it!” Donald added, and Sora’s spirits lifted a little more. Goofy might downplay stuff to make him feel better, but Donald was brutally honest. If both of them thought he’d find his friends again—that he’d see Kairi again—then maybe they were right.
How was it that they always knew how to cheer him up?
“Thanks, guys,” he said, then lifted his head. There was no point in moping around anymore. Sometimes a guy just needed a good cry, but now that it was out of his system, he felt a lot better and was ready to continue his search.
He had to find his friends, no matter what. And when he found Kairi, he could apologize for what had happened.
That would be how he’d make this right.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kairi shivered in her cell, hot tears burning her eyes. She’d escaped Axel, only to wind up captured by Saïx. It was cold and dark and she was all alone. Didn’t know how long these people planned on keeping her here, and without the sun it was hard to tell how much time had passed.
If only she had a Keyblade. If only she could fight. Then maybe she wouldn’t have gotten kidnapped. The last thing she wanted was to be a burden to Sora, and now—
She wiped her eyes and sniffed. How would he feel when he found out about this? Angry at Axel? Upset with Saïx? Frustrated with her? Or would he blame himself?
He shouldn’t. He should never blame himself. This was her fault for being weak and stupid.
Would he come for her? Her stomach churned at the thought. What would they do to him if he did? He’d already stabbed himself in the heart to save her. What else would he endure for her sake?
“No,” she said softly. “No, I won’t let them use me to hurt him. Not ever.”
She sat up straight. There had to be a way out of this cell. Sora shouldn’t have to come save her. She should save herself. She’d either sneak out of here or sweet talk her way out, but she was escaping either way. Then she could find Sora and they could be together again.
He hadn’t come home, so she’d bring home to him. Give him a big hug and hope it would make up for forgetting him.
That would be how she’d make this right.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A/N: Sora crying in the Gummi Ship after Kairi gets kidnapped in KH2 is such a powerful but understated moment and always really stuck with me. I enjoyed delving into his thoughts and feelings about the whole thing, and then as I was writing I wanted to deal with Kairi’s thoughts and feelings about being kidnapped and her resolve to find a way to escape.
Thank you for reading!

The End of Us - Bragi x Reader
I’m still having a moment because I’m still royally upset and needed to do something. So...have this. I may have a bit of denial left in me, but that’s another story.
Premise: A breakup
Spoilers for Dark Road
~~~~~
              Today is just like any other of these past few weeks. It’s quiet with only the occasional customer venturing into my shop to peruse books. The usual source of chaos and entertainment in my life and his classmates have been out on what feels like a never-ending mission. I know it’s important and all, but my boyfriend’s absence really hits hard.
              The jingling bell pulls my attention from my paperwork. Making my way around the desk to greet my customer, I feel a smile pull at my lips.
              “Bragi!”
              He looks exhausted, even more since the last time I saw him. Rings beneath his eyes have only gotten darker, his hair is mussed more than usual, and the usual smirk on his face isn’t quite so smarmy.
              “Hey darlin’.”
              Arms outstretched welcome me in his embrace, enveloping me in that sweet spice I could never get enough of. A wave of relief washes over me like a fresh hit of content. This feels so right.
              “Welcome back.”
              His hold is tighter than normal. It belies a sense of remorse that sends up red flags in my head. Softly, he replies, “Thanks.”
              Pulling back, I glance to the clock—it’s nearly closing. “It’s late. You must be hungry. You head upstairs and I’ll close up real quick, kay?”
              A kiss presses down on the top of my head in a melancholic manner. “Okay.”
              And that’s it—no teasing, no complaining, no smarmy comment. Something’s wrong and the way Bragi’s going about it has me worried. Still, I keep my word, shutting down shop for the night before making my way upstairs to start prepping dinner.
              Conversation feels forced, as if he has to keep dragging his mind back to the subject on hand. Whatever it is, I’m starting to feel anxious.
              “Hey.”
              My gaze falls back to him. There’s heartache etched into every feature of his face. He looks about ready to cry. That sight and the tone of his voice stings in my eyes. What comes next will be miserable for everyone.
              Immediately, the cookware in my hands find the counter so the conversation can take my full attention. His name ghosts passed my lips.
              “I…” A man so full of himself struggling with what to say rattles me. “I think we should end this.”
              “What?” It’s like my brain has collided with a brick wall. I was prepared for bad news, but I wasn’t prepared for this.
              His teeth gnash together and his voice wavers. “Us…I think we should end…us.”
              The first tear falls and a ragged breath ripples in my chest. “Why?”
              Suddenly, it’s too difficult to keep eye contact with me. “It would be best for both of us. With this whole keyblade thing, I just don’t think it’s gonna work out.”
              “I don’t understand.” It’s my turn to keep my words steady. “We’ve made it work until now.”
              “I know but…I get the feeling things are about to change. And the last thing I wanna do is hurt you any more than I have to.”
              “You don’t think we can make it through that?”
              A single word stabs at my heart. “No.”
              “Really? After all we’ve been through?”
              “Not this time.”
              A hand across my mouth stifles the sob.
              “Gods, if I knew it was gonna end like this…” Fingers shove through that wild hair. “You can hate me if you want; it might be easier if you do. But believe me when I say that I meant every word. You’re amazing and smart and beautiful…And I loved you.” He breath staggers. “And that’s why I have to do this.”
              I can’t do anything. My voice is broken, my legs won’t move, my self-control is falling to pieces. Through it all, he just looks like he wants to break—to take it all back and hold me.
              But Bragi sticks to his decision. He offers me a smile, damaged and somber though it is.
              “I’m sorry. Just…take care of yourself, okay?”
              Powerless to do anything, I watch Bragi walk out the door of my little home for the last time.
              The very last time.
~~~~~
Standing before the granite stone, I feel empty inside.
              But now I understand everything.
This is what he’d been talking about. This what he was trying to save me from. But I guess he underestimated just how strong my feelings were. In the short few days since I last saw Bragi, the pain never dulled and now it’s just as fresh as ever. Perhaps I hadn’t been able to come to terms with his departure; there’s no denying it now though.
              He’s gone.
The love of my life will never come back.
              He’s dead.
Tears patter to the ground, hidden amongst the rain drops that seem to bring the world down around me. Such terrible weather had driven all the other mourners away—the ceremony having long since ended. Only I remain, wrought with paralyzing grief.
A weight drapes across my shoulders. Spice wafts around me as soft fur caresses my skin. I don’t even need to see the shade of blue to know whose jacket this is.
My gaze slips to the passerby, finding only the back of a black-cloaked figure retreating. I don’t know who they are or how they came across Bragi’s coat, but I don’t have the spirit to leave the grave to chase them.
“Wait.” The word claws its way from my throat.
I didn’t expect them to actually pause, but now that they have, I don’t know what to say.
              “Thank you.”
The figure simply shakes their head and continues walking.
Trembling, frozen fingers pull tighter at the jacket around me. This is all I have left. After all these years, it’s over. I guess he was right.
We would never make it through this.

Golden Hour Part 14
It’s here! The very very steamy and very very 🔞smutty🔞 part of my domestic fluff ♥️GarouxReader♥️! Finally! Here is the sweet sweet love making! You can also read it on AO3 here :)
We sit in the holding cell. Well, I’m fucking sittin’ and that fucking moron is still trying to tear the bars down, shaking the railings, yapping on about how they got the wrong fucking people.
I’m just trying to get some sleep, as best as I can against the cold brick wall, painted white and covered with the most fucking creative graffiti I’ve ever seen. Looks like they gave up trying to paint over it at some point.
Almost makes me wish I had somethin’ to write with so I could leave my mark here. Ah, another life milestone reached. Well done me.
“Oi, asshole,” I say, opening my eyes for a moment. “Shut the fuck up.”
“This is all your fuckin’ doing!” He turns on me.
“No one asked you to intervene, dumbass,” I say, closing my eyes again. “Stop fuckin’ runnin’ into things that ain’t your fucking business.”
“If I didn’t save your sorry ass, you’d be in a fucking puddle on the ground back there right now,” he smirks.
I try to stay calm. I really fuckin’ do. But there’s a line. There’s a fucking line. And he crosses that fuckin’ line and he knows it.
“The fuck did you say?” I’m on my feet before I know it.
“You heard me, son of a bitch,” he spits. “Ain’t no way you could’ve taken them all. Just say thank you and sit the fuck down.”
And just when I thought I’d settled my temper, I find myself swinging again, teeth clenched, all the fury of everything that’s happened rushing right back at me. This blind rage taking over again.
He ducks and goes for his own hit which is so fucking obvious I can see it from a fucking mile away.
“What?” I step back, mocking, urging him to try and land one. “Can’t do nothing without your fuckin’ stick?”
“You fuckin’ wish,” he yells and charges right at me, and I just help him on his way, stepping away and pushing him into the wall with his own momentum. It’s brutal but I don’t give a flying fuck.
He stands up, fresh blood pouring from his nose, looking like he wants to fucking murder me. I feel like I want to fuckin’ kill him myself and this cell can’t contain my fucking madness anymore.
He wipes at his nose.
“Got a pretty thick skull, don’t ya?” I say, this reckless malice taking over my senses.
He stands there and laughs, blood pouring down his face.
“You think that’s gonna stop me?” And he looks even more worked up than before.
I pull back my fist, the muscle tight, aching to feel that power again. He looks like he’s doing the same. I-
“What the fucking hell?” We stop in our tracks as Mr. Nice Policeman bangs on the bars. “What the fuck you two doing? Settle the fuck down or I’ll taser the both of ya,” and walks away.
It’s just enough to break the murderous moment.
Something lifts and it looks like he just remembered somethin’ important.
“Fuck,” he mutters under his breath, so hopeless and depressed. “I gotta talk to Zenko. Fuck.”
He looks genuinely worried, leans against the bars as if defeated, completely forgetting my presence. Defeated not by me but by something between his sister and him.
So I decide to fuckin’ forget him too. Fuck ‘im.
I sit back down and close my eyes again. We’ve been here for hours and I’m fucking bored out of my skull. I’m trying hard to not think of anything. To keep it all blank.
Eventually, I try to just drift off, to sleep at least a bit since I barely shut my eyes last night but when I let myself relax the memories keep coming. The memories of the last twenty four hours. How one evening went so fucking wrong. Like watching a fucking car crash. My mind just doesn’t want to look away no matter how much fucking pain it causes.
Part of me still feels justified, unable to take being treated like a fucking child, but another part just says ‘Fucking. Moron.’ She was right. I can’t control it. I just feel and then I do. No fucking impulse control here.
I think about her words about the fantasy of everyone being against me. It doesn’t sit right with me. Because everyone is against me.
Even Tareo? This little voice in my head says.
Well, ok, fuck, obviously not Tareo.
And her?
I don’t know. I thought she was on my side but looks like I’m nothing but a stupid kid.
That’s not what she said.
Yeah but…
And her brother, did he have anything against you?
No, but it ain’t like he fucking knows me.
And old man boss?
He doesn’t count.
Why not?
Just…because. Shut the fuck up.
And Bang?
Don’t get me started on that fuckin’ fool.
So who is against you?
I just fuckin’ said-
“Right,” that fucking smug police voice approaches us again, “you to punks are fucking lucky today. Get your shit and get outta here. And don’t let me see your fucking faces here again.”
And with that, the gates open and we’re free to go.
You know how I said the kid was the MVP of this whole thing? This was mostly his doing. Well, no one else will give him the credit but I reckon he’s a champ.
Turns out after they took us away and the old man, the only ‘reliable’ witness, had made a fuckin’ run for it (interesting, considering his back had given out…) didn’t even care about his beloved truck. Just got the hell outta dodge. After that, they didn’t want to listen to these grade schoolers so the kid took it upon himself. Went to get her first. Told her everythin’ that happened. Then she went down to the dojo, got the fuckin’ old bastard involved. He got down to the station with her and Tareo and Zenko in tow and set them straight and told them what’s what. Made them listen to them and made them get off their fuckin’ asses and track down the boss. He has that effect on people. Anyway, once they found and got him in he confirmed. It wasn’t me that started it.
Once they patched up the bastard with the ponytail and he was coherent again he swore up and down I’d got the jump on them, lying though his fucking teeth but apparently his story didn’t add up and he’s the one with the record now. Fucking pathetic dumbass.
To be honest. I wouldn’t have minded the record. What’s it to me? But the injustice was fucking burnin’ me up inside just a little bit.
It was a fuckin’ mess but it sorted itself out in the end because the kid used that head of his.
I don’t know why I said that. I didn’t know at the time how or even if he was involved in my early release. But I said it.
My fucked up cell mate rushes out, bolts down the corridor yellin’ “Zenko!!” and I just stroll out. Not particularly in any rush. It ain’t like I got anything to look forward to.
I head up the corridor and I see them all there. Her, Tareo, the old man with this serious expression under his mustache I’d never seen before and this hint of relief.
Fuck. I wasn’t expecting that. I wonder why the fuck they’re all here. I don’t want to see them. I don’t want their pity staring down at me. But there’s nowhere else to go. This is the only way out.
And her, she looks happy and distraught and tired and just…beautiful as always.
And never to be mine.
I gotta fuckin’ accept that and move on.
I just straighten up and walk past them without saying anything.
What is there to say anymore? I feel like we said everything last night. I don’t think I can undo all that. I’m not fucking good at repairing things, only tearing them down.
“Uncle!” I hear Tareo just behind me, running up after me. “Uncle! Are you ok?”
I stop but I don’t turn around.
“Yeah,” I say and then keep walking. “Thanks kid.”
I can feel her concerned eyes on me as I leave. I try to enjoy that feeling one last time.
I get home. It’s late. Delilah meows anxiously as I open the door.
“You’re hungry, eh?” I say, going straight to the kitchen. I give her her food but she doesn’t seem interested, just keeps meowing and butting me with her head.
“What?” I say. “Eat. What’s the problem?”
Meow, she says, half-upset and half-scared.
“I ain’t dead,” I say, picking her up for a moment. “See. I ain’t dead. Now eat,” I set her back down on the floor and she reluctantly leaves my side and traipses over to her bowl.
I go upstairs and take these fucking clothes off. I’ve been in them for far too long, sweat and blood soaked. Fuck this job, I think. I ain’t goin’ back. I’m sure I’m fired but even if I ain’t, no fucking chance in hell I’m going back. Fuck this job. And fuck everything.
And I feel this violence inside, like I’ve been holding something in since last night. Not that kind of violence. Not the desire to beat the fuck out of someone but this thing I can’t explain. This intractable fucking bitterness, this rage, at everything. At nothing. At myself. I want to fucking punch holes in this fucking wall. Fuck this house.
Fuck this fucking house.
Fuck school.
Fuck all the lies.
Fuck the beatings I got.
This thing inside me. It’s not anger, it’s not rage. It’s so fucking overpowering I don’t even understand it. It’s nothin’ like I’ve felt before. It’s driving me fucking mad, tearing me into too many directions at once. And I don’t know what to fucking do with it. I am ready to burn this fucking house down, tear it down with my own two hands. I feel this roar in my chest, building, and I can’t stop it, about to really unleash it on the fucking wall in the cold darkness here when the cat slips through the gap in the door, meowing softly, looking up at me as if happy to see me.
Meow she says, and rubs herself against my leg.
Everyone is against me, I think, my heart still beating rough and hard.
But not Delilah.
The wall stays whole.
I get the heat going and get in the shower, finally eat something, turning back into a semblance of a human being.
It’s late. Just after midnight. I try to just keep my mind steady. Not pay anything too much attention. But I can’t help noticing her lights still on across the street. That doesn’t happen often. I try not to give it any thought. It’s none of my business anymore. I decide to switch that part of me off.
Despite not sleeping very fucking much at all recently I find I have no desire to go to bed. This feeling like I don’t fucking know what to do with myself.
I switch on the TV and Delilah curls up next to me. I notice her lights are off now. But instantly remind myself to forget it.
I flip through the channels but as usual there’s only shit I have no interest in watching. I don’t even know why I turned it on. I don’t know how long I sit there, staring mindlessly. Twenty minutes? Before I’ve had enough.
I get up and Delilah lifts her head, questioning.
“Going to bed,” I say. I don’t feel like it but there ain’t anything else to do.
She jumps off the couch and follows me.
I watch her get into her box and she’s out like a light. I’m about to get undressed when I hear the knock, quiet, unsure.
I know who it is. And I stand there, not moving. There is no point, I tell myself.
I wait, listening to the silence of the night.
And there it is again, same cautious knock.
No. I can’t. There’s no fucking point. I-
I remember thinking, enough. Enough of the fucking doubts and the fucking guilt and the goddamn dancing around all of this, trying to please who fucking knows but never ourselves. Fucking enough. It ain't gonna be the world that dictates what we could and couldn't do. Enough.
By the time I open the door she’s already half way back across the street. She turns around, the porch light automatically switching on.
She stands there, in the middle of the road under the night sky, looking at me. Unsure whether to go back home or return to me.
I wait, keeping all my feelings, all my thoughts in check.
She looks at the black asphalt for a moment and then turns and walks back up the path, back up the steps towards me.
We stand there in the first uncomfortable silence we’ve ever experienced.
She doesn’t ask to come in.
Right now we are in two different worlds, separated by the doorway.
“I don’t feel like gettin’ a lecture,” I finally say.
“I’m not here to give you one,” she says, this fragile smile on her lips which disappears as soon as it appears.
I close everything off inside, in my head, in my chest. I can’t fuckin’ do this anymore. Whatever she’s going to tell me, it ain’t good and I don’t want to fucking take it anymore. She’s probably going to tell me to not come around ever again, or that we should just ignore each other from now on or whatever. And I already knew all that so-
“I just wanted to say I’m sorry.”
Eh? Not what I was expecting.
“I’m sorry for what I said last night.”
I’m fucking sorry too but I can’t bring myself to say it. I don’t apologise. I don’t fucking know how.
“Why?” I say, still somewhat wary.
“You’re not a kid,” she says, tucking her hands under her arms, into her sweater, feeling the cool of the night. “And I shouldn’t keep treating you like one. I shouldn’t tell you what to do with your life.”
I thought I’d just succeeded in shutting everything down but then she goes and says that and everything I’ve boxed away and chained down is starting to get restless inside.
“You don’t,” I say. She was right. She never forced me to do anything. All those choices were my own. All my own fucking doing.
I begin to feel it all trying to escape, all these things I thought I’d nailed down. Who the fuck was I kidding? As if I could switch it off just like that. It’s like a fucking flood building behind the most fucking flimsy dam. I try to hold it back, even a minute more because I still don’t know exactly where this is going. She still won’t look at me and it feels fucking painful.
“I know you don’t want me to, but I worry about you,” she says, still looking at the ground, as if it’s so fascinating.
“Don’t,” I say. “I don’t need you to worry about me.”
“I know,” she says. “You can take care of yourself. I know,” she smiles, still at the ground.
“What do I need to do?” I ask. The question that I wanted to ask last night but was too fucked up to do it. The real question. This question that scares the fuck out of me. This question that makes everything hang on the line. Because what if the answer is that there’s nothing I can do? “What do I need to do for you to take me seriously?”
“You don’t need to do anything,” she says, finally looking up at me, as if surprised by my words, searching my face before giving her real answer. “I love you just how you are. I really shouldn’t, but I do. It scares me. But I do. I love you just how you are. And I don’t know what to do about it. Because I’m not supposed to love you. But I do.”
Love me? Shouldn’t? It ain’t me? I’m not the problem? I’m not the fucking problem in this equation here? All this time…All this fucking time.
I remember every time she stroked my hair, touched my face, every hug, every contact. Thinking it was pity, thinking it was mindless affection, as if for a stray animal. And now she tells me…All this fucking time. This understanding blooms in my mind. So late. So fucking late.
And for the first time in as long as I can remember I manage to get the words out. Force them out. Because I remember how she looked. I remember the sadness and the alarm in her eyes. And I fucking am.
“I’m sorry.”
She looks at me wide-eyed, then reaches out and carefully, tentatively, strokes my cheek, as if thinking I might not want her touch.
“You don’t need to-” she starts.
But I can’t hold it fucking back anymore. Any of it. I can pretend to not care all I fucking want but inside all I want is her. I can lie to myself about fucking anything, but not this.
I pull her inside, slamming the door shut behind, trapping her against it. Not meaning to but I ain't letting go now. We’re in the same world now. Our own and the world outside can fucking burn. I don't fucking care. This is between me and her.
'I love you…just how you are.'
‘I love you…’
There’s this exhilaration in the air, this hot exhilaration in the dark. This thing between us. This forbidden thing pulling us in and we know there’s no return now. There is no escape.
‘I love you…’
I can’t hold anything back any fucking longer, grabbing her face and finally. Finally kiss her.
Finally.
Everything falls into place, falls apart, as she grabs me right back. The silence of the night recedes, instinct taking over, her mouth hard against mine, quiet gasps, grasping at clothes here, there and then we take a breath, a wanting pause. I stare at her, so many fucking questions but I don’t need any of them answered and then right back in, more heated than before, tasting her tongue, hands on her hips pressing her close, her hands around my neck, on my shoulders. I slip my hands down and she follows, jumping on me, legs around me as I pick her up. There’s only one place to go.
She never lets go of my face, kiss after kiss, as if this is the last time we’ll see each other as I head to my room, too impatient, too hot, not watching where the fuck I’m going but I don’t care, as long as I get to hold her like this, as long as she never takes her mouth off mine. Our secret safe tonight.
I finally get through my door, as she holds my head in her soft hands, kisses all over my face.
I don’t want to let to go but this needs to happen. Now.
She slips out of my arms, urgent, knowing and we start stripping off, never fast enough. She pulls my shirt over my head, hands running all over my chest and I try to keep kissing her as I lift the edge of her jumper. This hot mess, trying to do everything at once. Her t-shirt is on the floor and then she’s unbuttoning her jeans and I’m right there with her. I watch her reach quickly behind, undo her bra, go to help, pulling the straps down her shoulders before she throws it to the side, before finishing getting naked myself as she slips her hands into her underwear, hurriedly bends down, slipping it off her ankles. Everything is just one fucking beautiful blur that we almost don’t realise that we’re standing completely naked in front of each other, her chest already rising and falling, breathing fast. I’m sure I’m the fucking same. I have no time to think about that because all I can concentrate on is her.
And now, take it back…everything slows down.
This is real. Standing there in the shadows, in the silver light. Not far from the same time as when I first saw her. Way past midnight, we come together again in the dark.
Took so fucking long to get here that it’s almost unbelievable.
She looks over me. Her eyes travel over my chest covered in bruises again, but not so bad as last time. She says nothing about it. Just taking it in. What's done is done. I will try my best from now. I know I won't always succeed but I'll fucking try. Try because there’s a part of me that never thought she’d be here. That I’d be here.
And yet here it is. And it’s better than any memory, any fantasy. I’ve seen her. I’ve seen her across the street from here but now she’s in my room, naked for me, even more beautiful than I remembered, standing there surrounded by our discarded clothes. Nothing between us anymore. Stripped of all excuses and reasons.
My hand reaches out, carefully on her face, touching her cheek, her lips, as if checking it’s really happening.
She closes her eyes, puts her hands over mine, nestles her cheek into it and I don’t move. And then she opens her eyes again slowly and looks at me like she knows exactly what she’s doing, letting my hand go.
And I thought I was strong…but her eyes. I thought I was fucking strong. And here it is. And I gotta laugh inside. I am no match for her. There was three inches between us and she closes it. Finally. The distance disappears. Gone for fucking good.
‘I love you…’
I feel her body, her skin, against me. Her breasts pressing softly against me, the warmth of her thighs. And she knows what I need better than I do.
I expect her kiss again, wild and urgent, her lips against mine but she just presses herself closer against my bruised chest, taking her hands behind me, slowly, gently tracing her fingers down my back, just that. I feel their caress over every muscle, every inch of skin.
And I realise there’s more, more to this desire than what I thought. Because this touch destroys me bit by bit, and I am completely powerless in her hands as they move slowly over me, now tracing tenderly over my chest as she kisses my cheek, my jaw softly, my neck.
Ain’t no one ever touched me like that. Never knew what I was missing. She pulls me slowly back to bed, pushes me down and gets half on me, caressing my face, whispering things in my ear, pressed against my side, her thigh across me.
This is going to kill me, I remember thinking. This is going to fucking kill me and I’m ready for it. All my power is useless here.
I remember when we were in my bed before. When I was burning up delirious. Feeling her protection. And here I feel it again, this quiet care, never letting me go as her lips travel down my neck, down, down my chest, as she kisses all these bruises, runs her fingers affectionately over them. And this hot exhilaration still hangs, grows, in the air, in this room.
I think about my fist, the strength I kept training, blood, sweat and tears, the strength and power to take down anyone and anything that stands in my way. The tension, the burning power in my hand. Always needing more. And yet here she is, with the barest of touches in her fingertips completely undoing everything inside me as she runs them down my chest, down, lingering around my hip.
She could do just that and I’d think all this was worth it. The frustration, the mess, the anger, the fear. Just touch me like this and don’t stop.
And just when I think I’ve finally got some composure back I feel her lips on the edge of my ear and her hand slips quickly further down, same soft, barely there touch running over my cock.
Fuck.
I can feel myself breathing heavy as her fingers play with me, light and slow, as if wondering whether to continue.
I can’t fucking help this anymore. Grab her hand and make it clear she can do as much as she wants because I fuckin’ want it. I feel her hand now around me, stroking, as her lips wander over my face again, her hair falling over me, my hands go to her waist. Her hand closer, tighter around my cock, a little faster as she climbs further onto me, her kiss on my mouth now, serious, no hiding desire, everything out in the open, this groan caught in my throat as her stroke intensifies. Her hand on me, her body against me, the tip of her tongue playfully in my mouth, her breathless sigh…My fingers dig into her hips, feeling too much. A torture I hope never ends.
I realise my imagination had its limits. So many fucking limits. The heat of her skin, the feel of her body in my hands, pressing into me, her words breathed in my ear, her desire, all tangible and real here almost pushing me out of my goddamn mind into something intense and intoxicating…And I’m so fucking hard, not much more of this and it’s going to be over because holding on is a big fucking ask right now with her on top of me like this.
No. Not yet.
Not yet. I’ve got more for you.
Takes all my will power to push her carefully over onto her back. She’s not the only one that can’t get enough.
Before I know it, I’m pinning her down, my mouth on her neck, feeling myself on top of her. I run my tongue up her throat, hear this little sweet sigh, eyes closed, hands curling into soft fists as I hold down her wrists.
The heat is on and with what’s happening between us, it’s like that fever takes over again as I kiss down her neck, her shoulder, across her collarbone. Not wanting to miss an inch of her, hear her happy murmurs, feel her breasts, hard pretty nipples against me just there.
I let go of her arms, my hands needing to be elsewhere. Her eyes open, watching me as I run my hand down her face, down her body until it reaches her breast and I see this excitement in her eyes grow.
Slowly, I run my thumb over her nipple, once, twice, harder on the third time, watching her as she bites her lip and the next time I do it, wraps her arms around my neck and pulls my head down, into this kiss, close, intense and I never let go, hand still on her breast, keep doing that, realising how sensitive she is there as I taste her quiet gasps. And I want more. I can do more.
I slip out of her embrace, give her more. That slow rhythm that she’s so good at, that kept me there…I ain’t the same. I kiss down her body, everything getting more urgent. Look at her, naked on my covers, revealing all her secrets to me. If that’s what she wants, I think. If just that simple touch gets her like that…I can’t hold it back. Getting wilder on her body. Couldn’t stop if I wanted to.
I've got handfuls of her breasts, my mouth all over them. Her fingers twist through my hair impatiently as I play with her nipples, biting softly, licking. Kissing this one then the other, my tongue on the side of her breast, following the soft curve, sucking on that hard little nipple when I get back there. And her heartbeat. I can feel it, harder, faster.
Do you like this? Do I make you feel good, my love?
I feel like she’s holding back. Throwing her hand over her mouth. I don’t know why.
I don’t push for answers. Her body says it all, hand gripping my shoulder, her own shoulders pressing hard into the mattress, her chest lifting to me.
I saw her. Saw her half naked in the window. Her body on display just for me. And now, it’s all mine. I get to touch, taste, feel everything I saw. Explore its softness, its warmth, all the things that please her.
I want to know all the things that please her. Find out for myself. Not just please her but that make her writhe and cry out and push her over the edge. I want to know.
And so I move down her body, taking my time. Kissing as much of her as I can as I go, over her ribs, her stomach, past her bellybutton, my hands following, her hips.
She watches me, curious how far I’ll go. And I have no intention of stopping and every intention of exceeding expectations. My hand back at her breast, teasing, squeezing her nipple as she reaches her hand into my hair, a sharp intake of her breath. I kiss a line across her body from one gorgeous hip to the other, and then down the front of her soft thigh and her curiosity grows.
I’ve thought of this how many fucking times? Imagined this over and over…Doing exactly this. Being right here, her body so close, mine to please and explore in the night, in the heat.
I spread her legs and she lets me, fingers softly in my hair as she watches me. I feel her breath catch. She almost doesn't expect me to. But look at her…Fuck. Look at her. Naked, in my bed, already so wet. She can't hide how much she wants it, and neither can I, how much I fucking want her.
I get closer between her thighs. I look over her, her pretty pussy so close. I feel how fucking hard it makes me. I thought I’d buy myself more time like this, being the one to please her but fuck. It ain’t any easier. All my concentration on her. Slowly, I trace my fingers down her slit, slick with her desire. I feel a shiver run through her, a little tremble in her thighs. I press them closer to me, turn and kiss one of them, nipping at her skin, my fingers still stroking her pussy as I see her grip the sheet in one hand. Her other hand reaches down, edges of her fingers brush soft against my cheek. She doesn't think I’m going to-
But this is the most intimate part of her. Where she feels so good. Where I can make her feel so good. And I've waited so fucking long and how many times have I thought of this? Wanted this? Too many. And now I finally get to taste her, to give her this pleasure.
Her gasp fills the night inside this room and my head fills with her scent, erotic and close. I taste her with this slow hunger, her hot skin, her wetness.
I want to keep going slow, exploring her, teasing, but she wants it so fucking much and knowing it was all me that gets her so hot and bothered. Knowing it was all fucking me, I can’t do that. That slow plan completely out the fucking window.
And now her back arches, my hands under her ass, fingers pressing into her. I can't get enough of her, running my tongue over her clit again and again. Wanting her to feel so good, so fucking good.
She can’t restrain it any longer and I hear these desperate sighs above me, growing louder, sweeter.
Yes darlin'. Just like that. Sigh for me just like that.
I feel my fingers dig into her harder, pulling her pussy closer to my mouth, finding this rhythm that she loves, makes her get wilder, sighs turning effortlessly into these indescribable moans, hands in my hair, pulling, curling around her fingers.
After everything. After goddamn everything, she is here, with me, leaving traces of her erotic scent all over my sheets as I pleasure her with my mouth, my tongue quick and hard on her clit, as she gets wetter and wetter.
I slide my hand up her body, to her breast until it finds her nipple and suddenly she lets out the most obscene beautiful helpless sound I've ever heard.
“Don’t stop,” she can barely get the words out between her moans. “Don’t stop, Garou…ohhh…!”
I feel her thighs squeeze around my head, her bare legs thrown over my shoulders.
I have no intention of stopping, love. But you’re driving me fucking insane. Just me and you and the heat of the night, the heat of your body, the smell of your pleasure, the taste of your desire…
“Don’t…stop…” she begs, pulling my head in ever closer as I keep my tongue tracing these patterns she loves over clit, her pussy aching for more.
I can feel her thighs start to tremble, softly at first and then harder, this soft tremor in her body. It feels intense. Too intense. Her moans so loud, so restless. And even with all that I want to push it further, squeeze her nipple harder. Her hips begin to sway against my face, her back arching hard and for a moment she is silent. Silent before it all breaks loose, all her doubts and all her self-restraint, and she cums.
And I never stop.
To be with her in that moment, when she's crying out over and over, her body hot and full of pleasure, taking over her. There is no describing this moment. This feeling.
It's only me and her and the pleasure I can give her
Right now only I get to see her, feel her like this. She is all mine.
Her body gives in completely, so willing, so wanting, to me.
She cums, hot tension and breathlessness, she cums for me.
I want to be there, not let go until the end, feel, taste her orgasm from beginning to end but suddenly her words.
"Come here," she beckons, her words lovely and impatient, her body still quivering, "come here. I want you."
I let go, I let go my hands around her hips and get back up to her, between her legs.
"I want you," she says again, closing her eyes pulling me against her.
And I give her what she wants. What I want. Always wanted.
I feel myself inside her. This feeling…this fucking feeling that makes me lose my head, makes me groan. So fucking close. She's so fucking close and I'm finally inside her, her legs hurrying to wrap themselves around my waist, her breasts against my chest as I kiss her neck over and over.
"You're so wet," I hear myself, the words barely, hoarsely out, her hands all over my back. I can't help it. I know she's so fucking wet, I was just there, but I can't help it. This is so fucking excruciating. So fucking good.
"Only for you," she breathes, urgent and sweet.
Only for me…Those words sit tight and hot in my chest. Turn everything fucking upside down. The things she does to me. Did she think about me on those lonely winter nights like I did about her? Did the thought of me keep her company as she pleasured herself? I can't help but wonder…
"Only for you, Wolf," she repeats, grabbing tighter on to me, wanting me.
I find I’ve graduated from cub to wolf and that’s fucking music to my ears.
I’m finally there where I want to be. Not just physically, here with her. But in her esteem. I’m not that kid. I’m not that stray anymore.
And she wants me to fuck her. And I do.
I’d always said, I’d give you everything. I’m all yours. Here to fulfill your every desire. You want to fuck and so we fuck.
I feel myself pull out and thrust into her, again and again, unable to resist going harder each time. Because she wants to fuck. And I give her what she wants.
How…? How the fuck does it feel so good? Her pussy, warm, soaking around me. Takes everything to not lose my head. How the fuck does she feel so good? Fuck…This is nothing like the fantasy.
She does this little rock of her hips to match me, to get more of me and I fucking can't. Feel my hand slam against the wall just above, bracing against it because this is-
"You feel so good," her words, a stormy passionate whisper by my ear, exactly what I’m thinkin’ about her, a moan. "You feel…so…good…ah!!"
The heat between us never fucking stops, presses us closer together. I can see this delicate drop of sweat snaking down her neck as I get another taste of her mouth, drowning us both as her hands rake through the back of my hair, pulling me eagerly closer as we fuck, nothing but heat and animal sounds of pleasure. This raw sort of desire between her body and mine, soft and savage.
I don’t know how much fucking longer I can go. Every time I feel my cock inside her again, thrust into her again, it gets so much fucking harder to control it. To not cum, to keep making her moan. I can barely keep my eyes open, both of us panting. I-
Suddenly, she pushes me hurriedly off her and climbs on top, not letting me inside her just yet. Just sitting on me, catching her breath in the moonlight, hands on my chest, her hair wild over her shoulder, knowing I need to slow down.
She lets out these beautiful exhales, one breath, two, showing me the state I reduce her to, knowing she does the same to me. And then, lifts herself a bit and lets her pussy slide against me, softly back and forth, swaying her hips slow and seductive against my cock. It ain’t much of a break but it gives me a chance to have some sort of lucid thought as I watch her.
And then lets me inside her again, now the one in control. She sits there on top of me, my cock inside her, just watching me with this intense gaze, her eyes shining, sensual. And then little by little she starts to move, riding me, hands hard against my chest, holding herself up. Just these subtle movements at first, barely lifting her pretty ass, making me start from the beginning.
And this view from below…Fuck. Her movements intensify, her body rocks more and more, her breasts beginning to bounce softly as she keeps riding me. This fucking gorgeous view…These hips. My hands reach out for her hips again. I want you harder, faster. I want you to torment me more. Fucking more.
She lets me guide her body with my hands, going deeper, harder for me, taking her hands off my chest now that I’ve got her, arching her back again, hands behind her head as the breath she just caught runs away on her again, mine already long gone. I don’t think I ever seen anything so fucking beautiful. Just there, on top of me. My fucking everything.
And then there’s this pure overwhelming fucking need. This need twisting its way inside me. I sit up and grab her, my arms around her. Remember how much she loves to be held. I remember everything, from that first moment. And all the moments after that. Like an uphill trail leading up to this one. Everythin’ that happened. Without all that we wouldn’t be here. All those days, weeks, months of tortured waiting, tormented by doubts and unfulfilled desire, so much tension that it couldn’t possibly not fucking snap.
And now here.
Now I’ve got her. I’ve got her. Everything leading up to this moment. Now I’ve got her I think, my arms tight around her, her lips all over my face as she rides me, fucks me with her beautiful little body as if making up for all that lost time.
And it becomes more than about this, the sex, the hopeless lust. There’s something more that I can’t quite put into words. This pure overwhellming fucking need. Not just to fuck and feel her body against me, not just to please and hear her breathless moans but something else…Intense and overpowering.
The need for her.
I give in to it. Let myself feel every fucking drop of it. The need for this other person.
I’m pressing her so close it must hurt but she just whimpers and moans, never letting me go, never letting her hips stop. The night is running away on us but there’s no fucks to give.
Didn’t think it was possible to feel something like this. So fucking intense that it feels it will either kill you or make you invincible, and you don’t care either way.
I can’t fucking hold it back anymore, my hand in her hair, bringing her closer, pressing her mouth against mine, drowning out her moans, my own snarling groans.
This is too fucking intense.
Strands of her hair stick to her face, I can feel the sweat, mine and hers. Just one more moment. One more moment darlin’. Give me one more.
I can feel her body start to tense up again as I keep her mouth pressed against mine, her sweet gasping moans trapped. And then she manages to break free just long enough to say:
“Cum!” And plunge right back into kissing me and that’s the fucking undoing of me.
I don’t fucking care how loud we are now. I feel my whole body on edge like I ain’t ever felt before. Like something sinking its teeth into me, and it feels so fucking good. Something beyond my control. I feel her shudder against me, a trail of moans as if pain mixed with pleasure, all the hope and despair of the last months, moans one after another and my body follows hers, at once powerless and feeling a strength I ain’t ever felt before, nothing like this. This thing completely overtaking all my senses and yet leaving me in complete control. I feel myself cum hard into her wet, awaiting pussy, her wanting, warm pussy, her body entwined around mine.
She keeps going a little while longer, this soft, tender rock against me as I grip her close panting hard, knowing it’s making me feel good, riding out her own orgasm.
What the fuck just happened?
Neither of us can find the words. Dazed. I don’t think either of us expected it to be that fucking…intense. Shame on us. How else would it have been? Knowing all the feelings we’d been hiding, fighting against. Should’ve known.
I lean my forehead against her shoulder for a few moments, close my eyes, taking all this in, breathing in her warm scent.
When I open them again the cat is there, sitting at the door, staring at me, completely unimpressed. I didn’t even notice her leave her box before. Too fucking busy fucking the love of my life.
I stare at her right back.
“None of your business,” I mutter, getting my breathing under control. But she just keeps staring.
“What?” She whips around, surprised by my voice in the silence, seeing the cat. “Oh, we must have woken her up,” she says softly, still caressing my forehead.
Delilah gives us another glance then turns her nose up and exits.
“Bloody cats,” I say, scowling after her.
She looks at me. And then she laughs. And then I laugh. And then she kisses me and falls back into my bed with me.
I know you love to be held.
We lie there, facing each other for a while. I have no idea what time it is anymore. I have a feeling we’re not that far from sunrise.
I feel like I want to say somethin’ but the right words just don’t come. She doesn’t seem to mind, gently runs the tip of her finger down my nose, down my face.
“You’re very handsome,” she says, smile in the moonlight.
“What? No,” I joke, dismissing the idea. “You sure? Nah…”
“Take the compliment,” her smile grows bigger.
“Make me,” I grin back.
“Don’t you start,” she waves her finger, a dangerous seductive warning.
“Or else what?” I say.
She rolls her eyes, exasperated and turns away laughing for a moment before coming back to me, eyes more excited, brighter than I’ve ever seen them. And then turns serious.
“I’m sorry I said those-” she starts but I don’t want to hear any of that, my hand over her pretty mouth.
“Don’t,” I say as she tries to keep talking.
She pulls my hand away.
“I didn’t-”
“Oi,” I say and take her chin. If my hand doesn’t work then this might. I kiss her, until she stops resisting. I don’t want to hear it because I was a fucking idiot. And if we start, we’ll be apologising until fucking Christmas.
It starts off playful and she’s still trying to disentangle herself, say what she wanted to say but I press on and soon it’s silent and deep and no room to breathe, my hand on the small of her back, pressing her close again.
When I’m done, seems she’s long forgotten what she was going to say.
Good.
Stare at each other again. I can’t take my fucking eyes off this woman. If I don’t do something, we’re headed for round two any minute.
“Hey,” I say, doing my best impression of my agitated, defensive high-school self, “you wanna be my girlfriend?”
She bursts out laughing. I’m glad.
“O…M…G…” she says, “I thought you would like…totally…never ask.”
“Is that a yes?” I say in the same brusque manner.
Her laughter quietens down for a moment.
“Is that what you really want?” She says, nothing but kindness, not expecting anything in particular.
“Yeah,” I say, dropping the act.
“Are you sure?” She says.
“Don’t you start,” I warn her.
“Or else what?” She teases. “You going to spank me?”
“Hey, whatever your kink is, I’m down,” I say my hand slipping down her body, back around, giving my favourite ass a good squeeze.
“Harder,” she moans dramatically, and I oblige, the pleasure all mine, until she’s laughing again, eyes closed, enjoying herself. All the heaviness hanging over us from the previous night gone.
Then suddenly opens them again.
“What are people going to say?” She asks. “I’m dating an eighteen year old.”
“Ah, well, here’s the best part,” I inform her, grinning from ear to ear. “You’re not.”
“What? What do you mean? Wait…no! When?” She slaps my shoulder. “Why didn’t you tell me?! When?”
“Doesn’t matter,” I try to wave it away but she won’t have it.
“When?” She says and I know I gotta answer or else.
“Yesterday,” I say honestly.
“Garou…” she says, her voice suddenly quiet and tender.
“Oi, don’t feel fuckin’ sorry for me,” I say. “It’s just a fuckin’ birthday. It ain’t like they don’t happen every year. If it makes you feel any better, no one knew last year, or the year before that, or the one before.”
“Somehow, that doesn’t make me feel any better,” she says. “Honestly…" she pauses, propping herself up on her elbow. "We're going to celebrate tomorrow.” And that’s final, according to her.
She lies back down, facing me.
“So young,” she grins. “You’ve got your whole life ahead of you,” I feel the back of her fingers lightly down my cheek.
“So do you,” I say.
So young…I think of the words. She wasn’t teasing or anything but I get this worry inside.
“Do you regret it?” I say. Everything we just did. Do you regret it?
She pauses her hand, looking at me carefully.
“No,” she says quietly, assured of her answer. “But I was thinking you might,” she whispers.
I can’t keep convincing her with words. I fucking can’t.
I pull her in closer, hand under her thigh, pulling it up onto me, hitching up around my waist. Hand on the small of her back and give it to her again watching her eyes light up, hands grab onto me.
And we fuck again, slow, hard. She pulls me in, kissing me over and over, the tip of her tongue tracing across mine as I thrust into her again and again, hear her whimper again for me, tremble again for me, and the world recedes one more time and there’s only her and me in the hot, in the dark, face to face.
“Never…” I manage to start between her kisses, voice hoarse from everything she does to me, “...say that…again.”
All I hear is “Mmmhhh…oh!”
“Ever,” I repeat as I feel her against me, losing herself more and more with every stroke of my cock in her already wet, soaking hot little pussy and then so do I. Lose myself, let myself stop thinking and just feel this.
Feel it between us, all the taboos fallen away, nothing holding it back anymore.
It had started with that one moment at the window. This time months ago. Sown itself between us, pulling us both in, and all the while we were tryin’ to be polite. Tryin’ to ignore it, ignore the fact that we were both in too fuckin’ deep. As if ignoring it meant it didn’t exist.
It was never going to work like that.
It was too fucking powerful, more powerful than either of us.
It was always going to end up like this. We were going to get here or die trying.
I feel her body so close, quiver against me again, her mouth soft against mine as I get her close, closer, feeling almost there myself as she rubs against me.
There is no fucking distance anymore. Not a fucking inch.
I make sure of that.
“Garou…” I hear this bare, sweet moan.
I know. I know you’re about to cum darlin’. You’re making me lose my fucking head again, my fucking mind, with your sighs and your moans, and your desperate little body rocking against me.
I feel her hand on my chest, pressing against me, as if feeling my heartbeat, lost in her own pleasure. I feel her hand there. It’s still beatin’. You see what you do?
I know you love to be held.
I wrap my arm around her.
“Garou…! Garou…” her voice, her words hot against my mouth, fingers digging into me and then she presses her hips hard against mine and there’s this soft shudder, over and over as she sighs and gasps into me. Urges me to cum with the sway of her hips.
Fuck. Fuck…I push into her again, one more time before she takes me completely over the fucking edge with her as she encourages my groans, but I feel like I’m fucking growling, turning into an animal.
“Wolf,” she breathes, biting her lip, squeezing her eyes shut, the orgasm tensing her body against me harder than she expected.
Yes, I’ll be your fucking wolf, your fucking anything, I think as I cum inside her again as she buries her face in my neck, as she loves every moment of it, running her warm hand over my face and I’m breathing fucking hard.
Waited. Waited so fucking long, her and I, I think as I pull her impossibly closer, wanting to feel every part of her against me. Never getting enough.
I’d been waiting, dreaming, fucking hoping about this for so fucking long, I think as I feel her relax again, safe against me. Everything fucking behind us now. And we forget the outside world exists. It doesn’t fucking matter anymore. It’s just you and me. Not a single fucking regret.
I ain’t ever letting go. My love.

the ripples they cause
read chapter 11 now!!
A/N: Hello everyone! There will be 2 more chapters of this fic coming out in quick succession, and then I will be taking a month's break in order to rewrite the earlier chapters before continuing. There's more detail about this break in the end notes for this chapter :D
Here's a snippet:
To begin with, Matt was hesitant to move out of Hell’s Kitchen. To live outside of it — even if it was only by three blocks — was a betrayal; to his parents, and to the residents he spent his nights fighting for. Foggy, as usual, was the one to talk sense into him. “It’s a five minute walk away, Matt,” he said. “And you know as well as I do that we’re lucky to have found any landlord that will take two Blipped tenants.”
Now, as he perches on the rooftop of their apartment building, he knows Foggy was right. Adding a few more blocks to his patrol isn’t killing him, especially since the amount of organized crime has plummeted to the lowest Matt has ever seen. Apparently, half of your obscure European gang disappearing puts a dampener on evil schemes.
Matt leaps from one rooftop to the next. The gravel digs into his skin through the thin fabric, and he once again misses the costume Melvin made for him. Maybe he worked with Fisk, but God, nearly being framed or killed would be worth it to get back an outfit that actually protected him.
At least Foggy enjoyed it when he ripped his shirt.
Matt has only made it two blocks when he hears another person nearby. He drops down onto a creaky fire escape, trying to decipher whether or not they are a threat. Before he can get a decent grasp on his surroundings, however, the person begins crawling up the walls.
Matt recoils in horror, taking a sharp step backwards. The fire escape unleashes a deafening whine, and the floor disappears underneath his feet. With nothing to break his fall but the concrete pavement, he knows that this is going to be a Claire evening — if he manages to survive at all.
He tucks his knees up to his chest, trying to reduce the number of bones he’s about to break. But just before he hits the ground, something slams into him and sticks him to the brick wall of the alleyway.
Struggling against the strange substance that is pinning him to the wall, Matt whips his head around, trying to figure out whether he has been saved, or trapped. The material is stretchy — enough to allow him to breathe comfortably, at least — but strong, designed to stop someone much more powerful than him from escaping.
“Oh my God,” a voice says from the rooftop of the building opposite. Matt tilts his head, gritting his teeth through a mild concussion to focus on the stranger. The voice belongs to a teenage boy, who appears to be covered head to toe in spandex.
“Spiderman,” Matt concludes.
“Are you okay, sir?” he says, swinging down to the pavement. “That was a close call! That fire escape has to be against health and safety laws, you should totally complain.”
“I don’t live there,” Matt says.
Spiderman pauses, his heart rate skyrocketing. “Oh my God. Are you Daredevil?”
“No,” Matt says. “I’m a cosplayer. Can you get me down?”
“Right! Let me just — uh, I’m gonna have to pull you, I’m so sorry. God, this is so embarrassing.”
“For both of us, believe me.”

Note
I rewatched the video of Kulles Kalauer with Sveni and Feli and translated it for you, hope you have a nice evening
K: Welcome to today’s episode of „Kulles Kalauer“. I`m just back from vacation. We`re playing a game. A anti-joke challenge that we call „Kulles Kalauer“. Beneath your seats are water bottles, you can take them now. Cover the tags, it would be covert advertising, no one should see that we`re drinking ***. Open your bottles, fill your mouths up properly.
K: What`s white and watches through a keyhole? A fitted sheet (= Spannbettlaken, a Spanner is a peeper)
K: Well, that was just for getting started.
K: What does a bomb do in a brothel? Puff (= sound of a small explosion and also a casual word for brothel)
*Laughing hard*
K: Okay, I`m gonna put a tick behind this one. Now we continue.
S (to Feli): At least mine hit you in a spreaded way, but you have completely hit me.
K: I think that was on purpose.
S: I think so too. All right, Felicitas.
K: You don´t have to screw the lid every time, you´re gonna open it again in a moment anyway. Well. What sits in a tree and waves? A „Huhu“ (mix of huhu as a casual word for saying hello and Uhu which means eagle owl)
K: What’s red and stands at the side of the road? A ****. Okay, we’re gonna put a minus next to this one.
Feli almost spits out her water.
K: I have to use your current state. What does a gay worm do in the salad? He throws out the snails (snail = Schnecke which is a nickname like chick to call women) This joke also isn´t well received.
Feli + Sveni giggling.
K: The last words of a front seat passenger: The right side is free.
K: You don`t have anything left in your mouth, do you?
K: Two men are talking: Have you ever ****** your wife in the other hole? Are you crazy, she might get pregnant then.
K: Svenja Huth and Ewa Pajor at the bar. „Two shots.“ „I see that, but what do you wanna drink?“ (Shots = Kurze which also refers to their height, you usually say „klein“, but kurz means short)
(Feli had spit out her drink in the middle of the joke)
S: Seriously, Felicitas, seriously? Your’re laughing at that joke?
S (to Kulle): For me that’s a minus on that one.
K: You didn`t find it funny?
F: I did!
K: I’m gonna write down: Was shit.
K: We have a good quota so far, there was a bit of water involved already.
Feli giggles, spits out water.
K: I didn’t even do anything.
Giggling continues
K: Nice here, isn’t it?
F (to Sveni): The way you look!
K: (starts singing a song by Die Ärzte) Und wie du wieder aussiehst (which means „The way you look“)
F drinks water, immediately starts giggling again and spits out the water
K: Do you want a new bottle? Doesn’t it taste good or what?
K (holds his folder between them): Now concentrate.
F tries to hold it in, but spits the water out again.
K: It’s time for a commercial break.
S: Excuse me, but it’s already 6:1, isn’t it?
K: We still have seven (jokes), no, eight.
K: Mommy, can I play with grandpa? – The coffin stays closed.
K: It has been raining for two days and my wife keeps staring sadly out the window. If it goes on like that I`m gonna have to let her in.
K: What`s white and bothers you when you eat? An avalanche.
K: A while ago we had a similar one: What’s red and bad for your teeth? A brick.
K: What´s white and is able to fly? Biene Majo (mix of Maya the Bee and mayonnaise) That one’s also shit.
S+ F giggle.
K: How do you castrate a refrigerator? Open the door, take out the eggs (=nuts), close the door.
They`re shaking their heads.
K: What´s long, vibrates and makes women scream? A chain saw.
K: What to you call the testicles of a pastor? Holy cow. (Heiliger Bimbam)
K: It´s the last joke now. I´m gonna say it now. Last time we had to bleep it. A nun went to a doctor. Young lady, you´re pregnant. **************************** Come, let it out, it was the last one.
S + F spit their water in each other´s faces.
S: It´s not like I didn´t already have enough of your water in my face. Kulle didn´t get his share oft he water at all.
K: I`m sweating. Also I`ve got technical devices on me. I´m not allowed. You have to talk to Felix about it, I´ve got nothing against it.
Wow, thank you so much! It was already translated by @nooneinparticularr, but I love seeing another take on it, because jokes can be translated in very different ways. Great job, you're so nice 💚💚💚
