I’m not really good at giving out ideas because I’m not really a fanfic writer, for a Halloween fan fiction, what if Nathaniel turns into a ghost like Akuma due to all the times he’s been forgotten? Like, he can get revenge on the Akuma class, with the exception of the Science Kids and a selective few.

It's been two days since Nathaniel went missing. His mom, the Science Kids, and the Akuma Class are especially worried

Louis, though?... Not so much. In fact, he's been messing with the Akuma Class ever since it was officially announced that Nathaniel had gone missing

"I'm surprised you lot even noticed he was gone!"

"Oh, it's probably because his mom told you, right? Otherwise, you'd never notice until someone eventually said his name."

"Just give it a minute. You all will forget about him in about an hour or two and go on about yourselves per usual.”

The Akuma Class tries to ignore him because they’d never forget Nathaniel!… They wouldn’t

Other than that, some strange occurrences have happened in the school, primarily to the Akuma Class. The lights in their classroom flicker on and off, their belongings go missing, and the room temperature drops a few degrees. Many play it off as the school being old and students simply losing their things, though

However, after classes were over, a few students went into the locker room to find Nathaniel’s locker forced open with the photos of the Akuma Class scratched out, but the pictures of the Science Kids were left alone

On top of that, the day Nathaniel went missing was also the day that strange occurrences have been happening in famous Paris landmarks. Ladybug and Chat Noir were called to investigate a strange crack found in one of the walls of Notre Dame Cathedral, and the next day, the Catacombs

It rolls into day three of Nathaniel’s disappearance, and Simon points out that they’ve noticed a few more strange occurrences not just in DuPont, but around the city, as well. They pull up a video on their phone to show the others what they mean

The video shows an overhead shot from a building of the streets, but then a strange shadowy appears and moves swiftly through the streets

Jean: It's a ghost. I'm calling it.

Simon: Or an Akuma with ghost powers.

Lacey: Well, if you're so sure it's a ghost, then explain why the walls are oozing ectoplasm! *Points to purple slime oozing from the walls*

Simon: Looks like jelly.

Lacey: It's not jelly!

Just to prove them wrong, Simon proposes that over the weekend, they all go out at night and search for the alleged ghost

Since the alleged ghost can be caught on video, they keep their phones on as they record. Cosette and Zoé walking by the Louvre when the street lamps suddenly rappidly flicker until the bulbs burst

Zoé and Cosette run away, but Cosette managed to get a partial video, and the others won't believe what they're about to see

Science Kids: NATHANIEL?!

Marc: HE'S DEAD?!

Ismael: Looks like it.

Marc: *Starts crying loudly*

Aurore: No! No, sweetie, no. No, he's probably just... Akumatized, like Simon said.

Simon: Called it. Akuma with ghost powers.

Cosette: Let it go, man.

They gather the Akuma Class on the Liberty the next day, and saying they're in disbelief when they see the video is an understatement

Alya: No way that's Nathaniel!

Kim: Yeah. When I went to the pool, the water started boiling. Why would he do that to me?

Rose: And scratch out his photos of us?

Nino: And trip me in front of a bunch of poeplewhile I was walking?

Alya: Sure, babe. Sure.

Louis: *Walks by* Because he hates you all!

Marc: Go home, Louis!

They still aren't entirely convinced that the ghost is Nathaniel and think it's just an Akuma who can take on different forms

But then, a strange purple mist emerges from Cosette's phone

Kim: It IS a ghost! And it's beautiful! *The mist lifts him into the air...* Oh! It's chosen me! I've been chosen! *... Before throwing him against the floor* That hurt, beautiful specter!

The Science Kids urge them to think back to before Nathaniel went missing and try to remember if he seemed off to them

They're drawing blanks until Alix suddenly turns pale

Marc: ... Alix...

Alix: ... So, last week's Akuma had us all running to shelter as a class... Nathaniel tripped and fell, and I went back to help him up, but then, debris fell on his leg. I couldn't get it up, and the others were long gone, so he told me to run.

Akuma Class: ...

Ismael: Denise, how do you say 'You gonna get it' in Spanish?

Denise: Lo vas a conseguir.

Ismael: ... What they said.

As the Akuma Class students are trying to convince themselves that they didn't mean to leave Nathaniel behind and that it was an honest mistake he doesn't need to get worked up over, the boat begins to rock

They clammor off of The Liberty to avoid any more disaster, but suddenly, the ground beneath them starts to crack as ghost-like hands emerge from the cracks and try grabbing at them

Adrien: This is getting out hand! There's only one group of people who can fix this! *Dials a number on his phone*

Rose: Who you gonna call?

Adrien: Ghostbusters!

Jean: Adrien, that's stupid... They've been out of business for years.

Denise suggests a seance, figuring if Nathaniel has ghost powers, then he can be summoned

Nino: Then we can get our stories straight, tell Nath we didn't mean anything by it, and that it was all just a- *Purple ectoplasm splatters all over his face* ... He slimed me.

Later that evening, the Akuma Class (Sans Chloé and Sabrina) and Science Kids gather back on The Liberty

Denise pours some salt into a circle while Juleka draws a few symbols

Adrien: Juleka, I know that you're into the occult and stuff, but Denise? I thought Astrology was more your thing.

Denise: Well, parts of mi familia practice santería. I joined in a bit up until I was twelve and became more interested in astrology. I still remember a few things, though.

Juleka reads a few texts from a book she got from Books-A-Million, and the symbols she drew begin to glow. As the clouds somehow turn darker, Nathaniel appears in the salt circle, only with all-white eyes, he's dressed in tattered clothes and has chains hanging off of him... Oh, and he's see-through and purple. (Let's just call him Poltergeist)

Zoé: ... Be gone, ghost of Nathaniel Kurtzberg. Go towards the light~

Marc: ZOÉ!

Zoé: Yeah, I'm done.

Poltergeist doesn't say anything for a while, only blankly staring at them with his soulless eyes. It's not until Adrien takes a step forward that he lets out a banshee-like scream and tries to escape the salt circle

Any attempts to calm him down only seem to make him angrier until Marinette stumbles back when he slams his hands against the invisible barrier, causing her foot to move some of the salt, and allowing him to escape

Poltergeist possesses Denise and uses their body to chase after and try and attack the Akuma Class. And his Akuma strength combined with Denise's natural strength leaves no one safe

Marinette and Adrien sneak off to transform while Poltergeist continues to chase after his classmates. It's not until Nino questions Marinette and Adrien's whereabouts that Poltergeist becomes angrier

Still possessing Denise, Poltergeist makes his way to the third floor of the Eiffel Tower and murmurs some weird ghost stuff. Remembers those cracks I mentioned earlier? Yeah, hundreds of ghosts slip out through them, along with a crack in the wall of the remains of La Bastille prison

Poltergeist unpossesses Denise and now has full control over the ghosts, so... Yeah, everyone's fucked.

And, since they're facing ghosts, Ladybug and Chat Noir can't use their weapons on them. Meaning, they have to call on some temporary holders!

They manage to gather Marc, Denise, Jean, and Cosette, and Rooster Bold uses Sublimation to give their weapons the capabilities of Proton Packs to capture and/or stun ghosts

Wyvern: Oh, Lord, have mercy! *A ghost possessing an inflatable mascot falls on top of them, Leonardo, Rooster Bold, and Hamlet*

Leonardo: This is just wrong!

Rooster Bold: I can't reach my knife!

Hamlet: You guys, this is exactly how I imagined my death!

DuPont School for Monstrous Youths- Friendship HC’s

Here’s some cute HC’s about the friendships in the MosnterVerse! As always, credit to @artzychic27 and @imsparky2002! Enjoy!

Marc and Reshma have a close bond, both being bug monsters. They like to creep and crawl around the school grounds, and the bug puns are endless with these two!

When Ismael and Kim shift into their cat/wolf forms, they make killer emotional support animals, providing comfort when their friends are stressed or upset. Mind you, ONLY their friends are allowed to pet them!

Nino and Rose share a bond over being unable to keep their bodies in one piece. They’re always retrieving each other’s limbs and jokingly razzing each other.

Nathaniel being the only one not affected by Alix’s stone gaze has allowed them to form a close bond. They’re the snark duo, always trading quips about things they find foolish or ridiculous.

Upon coming to the school, Adrien naturally gravitated to Nino, the friendly Stein boy taking the human under his wing and guiding him through interacting with monsters. Nino loves showing Adrien the best things about monster culture, and absolutely DESPISES Gabriel.

Alya and Jean are an epic ghost duo. They love being extra dramatic, and often spook their friends by randomly phasing through walls. They form the Spirit Squad™️ with Austin T(Reaper) and Austin Q(Banshee).

As the smartest two in the gang, Max and Sabrina share a bond of being exasperated with their friends’ antics, and serving as an absolutely kickass tutor duo who can get you up to an A in about any subject!

Reshma and Marinette share their love of sewing and crafts, often collabing on projects and clothes of all kinds. Marinette helps Reshma to dye her threads, and they have tons of fun cosplaying together.

Rose, Juleka, Luka, Jean and Nino form a squad of music lovers who often perform together, mixing their respective genres in a way that always seems to work! (Luka, Juleka, Rose and Jean even performed a barbershop quartet number, with Nino providing backing music!)

Mylene and Ondine have a close bond, sharing strong concern and care for their respective environments. They often assist each other with their nature/ocean preservation activities.

All being monsters of Greek mythological origin, Alix, Simon and Cosette have formed a mini-squad. They complain about how their kinds are portrayed in stories, go out for Greek food, and do historical research together.

Kim, Denise and Ivan are the Buff Babe Squad™️, and proud of it. The three are always working out and lifting weights together, pumping one another up. They also have contests in the gym of trying to out-flex each other.

"I'm glad to hear that Kyrie has found some friends like themselves. You know, it probably gets really lonely." She couldn't imagine the kind of life that Kyrie lived in isolation because of what they were. So yes, hearing that there are some ghost people out there was a relief. More friends for Kyrie to make and Kyrie deserved ALL the great friends.

POTO, but a little to the left

Do you want to see the Phantom of the Opera but it’s about kinda saucy middle-aged musical theater nerds? With a magic system? And a bit of fantasy counterpart Filipino flavor? Do I have the treat for you.

Currently working on a pet project that’s a reimagining of POTO (I’m mainly working off my memories of watching ALW’s musical in quarantine, but I’m going to check out the novel and Yeston and Kopit’s musical).

*The advantage of basing the setting off the Philippines is that ghost stories are just so integrated into our daily lives (in my experience at least). Like everyone knows there’s a ghost haunting the opera and they’re all just like “ah. yes. the singing ghost. just stay out of Box No. 5 and you should be fine.” When the Phantom finally talks to Ismael (before revealing herself) he just... accepts that he now chats with a poltergeist. If he’s going to stay overtime over the late hours he might as well have someone to talk to.

I would like to make a fic based on the show (taking place after the hollow boy) of Lucy being called back to her hometown after Norrie (who’s still ghost lock) disappears. Lucy follows the trail to Marbella, Spain.

She finds out that Norris’s brother took her there to see an specialist-witch who claims they can wake her up. There she also meets Ismael, a guy who believes in the importance of communicating with ghosts. In her travel, she feels like a fish out of water put in the oven, the clear skies and heat of Marbella throws her off.

Creepsters AU - Important Students Part 2

Lila: The daughter of Satan, among Lila’s many demonic powers is a knack for making people believe every word she says. A dedicated ally of the creepsters, she is in a loving relationship with the Maestro. Lila also has a talent for manipulation, which she uses to procure valuable assets for her friends.

Thorne: A girl who’s had a VERY rough go in life, Thorne is GhostRose’s twin sister and the object of her obsession. She despises anything and everything to do with her sister, and wishes nothing more than to see her taken down. A bit of a pessimist, she isn’t quick to trust people, but is very clever and a skilled fighter, making her a valuable ally.

Aurore: A kooky witch with a caring streak, Aurore wields power over the weather, not unlike her girlfriend Mireille. A close friend of Mylene, she often helps her with spells for the heroes. As strange as she can be, including a bizarre tendency to address herself in the third person, Aurore is a loyal friend and a force to be reckoned with against the creepsters.

Mireille: A cool and zen-like witch, Mireille is not one to show much emotion. Some exceptions to this are her girlfriend, Aurore, who they share their power over the weather with and their best friend Mylene. Mireille loves to make mischief with her magic, but is firmly on the hero’s side, helping Mylene in assisting the trio with their potions.

Jean: A dedicated drama student with a love for modern musicals, Jean has a strong mistrust for ghosts and spirits. It stems from the shame that his ancestor is the Phantom. He loves to sing, especially with his beloved boyfriend, Austin T. They prefer to stay out of the monster-fighting business, as it's not really their scene.

Austin T: Jean’s boyfriend, Austin T is a shy boy with a passion for theater. Suffering from anxiety, he often finds himself in fits of worry, especially now that his wicked ancestor has entered the picture. An introvert, it takes him a while to make friends, and those he does have, his fellow Austins, often assist him with bold romantic gestures.

Zoe: The half sister to Chloé, Zoé has to put up with a lot of crap, which can cause her to unleash her snarky side. She’s not afraid to put Chloe in her place when she has to, especially when she’s messing with her partner, Cosette. Zoe also has a love for listening to and singing rock music, which she shares with Cosette.

Ismael: The defacto leader of the Buster Squad, Ismael is quick on his feet and quick at thinking on them as well. Typically wrangling his more eccentric teammates when they get out of hand, Ismael also has a snarky side, which shows when he gets into it with Simon!

Denise: The biggest and strongest of the buster crew, Denise is also the least afraid of ghosts! Always ready to charge into battle, they’ll do what they have to to protect their friends. Especially their boyfriend, Simon, a fellow ghost buster who they like to lovingly tease.

Simon: The Buster Squad’s resident gadget genius, Simon is a logic-minded boy with a bit of a sarcastic streak. His tendency to plan every little detail contests with his partner Denise’s tendency to charge in headfirst, though he still adores them. He serves as a kind of apprentice to Mendeliev, who he assists with proton packs and other tech.

Cosette: The most energetic and enthusiastic of the Buster crew, Cosette has a deep fascination with spirits that prevents her from fearing them. They serve as Bustier’s apprentice, often accompanying her on ghost observations. It is very loving and protective of their girlfriend Zoé.

Reshma: Nearly as wealthy as Chloe, but ten times as nice, Reshma serves as the big sister figure for her class. She keeps an eye on all her classmates and helps to preserve calm when the creepsters cause trouble. At times, the pressure of needing to uphold her perfect image can be too much, but her friends are there to keep her grounded.

Lacey: A girl from East London, Lacey is a hot-blooded girl who’ll mouth off at any of the creepsters if she gets the chance! She’s like an aloof big sister to her class, teasing them good-naturedly but looking out for them all the same.

Ghosts of those who suffer violent deaths, those whose bodies were never put to rest properly, those who have unfinished business in the land of the living are trapped on the earthly plane, unable to move on to the land of the dead. The job of a ghost whisperer is to help the ghost to move on before they inevitably become dangerous and start to kill. Ismael Rivera and his granddaughter Victoria were the best until Victoria was killed on a job, and Ismael died of a heart attack from the news.

Unfortunately for everyone, Harmonia Rivera's ghost was never put to rest before she started killing.

Summary:

Miguel Rivera has known all his life that his no-good great-great grandfather abandoned his family, only for his Mama Coco's godfather, the now world-famous musician Ernesto de la Cruz stepped up and made sure that the man's family were taken care of. He intends to be just like the man who, even after death made sure that Imelda's family lacked for nothing.

This belief is challenged and upended one fateful dia de los muertos.

(Or, Ernesto felt so much guilt over what happened to Hector that he did everything short of confessing to the murder to make sure that the wife and child Hector loved so much were taken care of.)

Juleka: And because you wanna feel pretty.

Luka: Jules… I am pretty.

Reshma: He’s an insect, I’m an arachnid. But, he’s right. It’s fun controlling the extra limbs, but also challenging.

Marc: For the longest time, we’ve been slapping the other cast members.

Kim: See, in order to play the role of the fearsome werewolf of DuPont School For Monstrous Youths, I spent the longest time observing the masters…

Max: And by that, he means he spent hours at a dog shelter playing with the puppies.

Kim: It’s called getting into character!

Adrien: Why don’t you just ask your dad?

Nino: Whenever I do, he always goes, “GRRRR! GRANDPA BAD!” *Coughs* God, that fucked my throat.

Lila: The boy wants to go home! Enough with the bloopers! End the madness!

Lila: Nath, Marc, and I cannot tell you how long it took us to master having wings. Mine are made of real feathers, and they’re pretty thick, so I had to work on my balance quite a bit.

Marc: Then, there are the harnesses that make it look we’re flying. Nathaniel screamed the first time.

Nathaniel: Because that harness broke and I was falling!

Lila: No, that was just… Flying downwards.

Nathaniel: Well, screw you.

Simon: *Getting his makeup done* The crew did excellent work on my eye. It blinks whenever I do, and I can see through it. The only thing is that it gets kinda sweaty under there, and it gets all in my eyes, so my fake eye is just blinking non-stop.

Alya: *Putting on a green bodysuit* My outfit’s a little… Complex. See, there’s this combination of the suit I’m wearing and transparent clothing to make it look like I’m a ghost with translucent skin

Mireille: The same is with me, only my clothes are not transparent.

Ondine: *Emerges from the pool, gasping for air*

Lacey: Ondine! What happened?

Ondine: I couldn’t breathe under there!

Rose: Why didn’t you just use the breathing tube?

Ondine: I couldn’t find the tube!

Staff member: My bad!

Ondine: Things don’t always go according to plan on set. Some tails may come off, wings may not flap accordingly, and people trip on vines. What’s important is that we stay levelheaded, share a few laughs, and things go smoothly in the end.

Rose: And then we laugh at the bloopers.

Ondine: That, too.

[Commentary]

Lacey: Okay, okay! So, my fire hair?! It’s actual fire! There’s this non-burning fire that doesn’t even hurt, and it’s awesome!

Jean: Also terrifying.

Lacey: But also AWESOME!

Alix: Yeah, and speaking of hair… Those are real trained snakes. Because pops didn’t raise some coward who goes with the CGI option!

*The camera pans to Nathaniel*

Nathaniel: Hi. Yeah, uh… That actually is CGI. Alix tried the snake option for a minute, screamed, and then fainted. She just wants to sound badass.

Zoé: I’d say the most difficult part about our characters are the bandages and vines.

Myléne: I’m always tripping on them during the days my characters forgets to trim them, and Chloé and Zoé often get tangled in their bandages.

Chloé: They’re like a fucking straitjacket!

Kagami: You will do well to listen, Félix. Stay away from my school. Stay away from Adrien. And stay away from me. *One of her horns falls off* … My horn fell off, didn’t it?

Félix: *Snickering* Yep. Wanna try that again?

Kagami: No, I want to wallow in shame. *Leaves*

Félix: Kagami! Come back! You were good! I was really intimidated!

*Meanwhile*

Cosette: Kagami, come on! It happens to all of us. You’re not the first one, really. Remember when I charged at Lucien and both of my horns just slipped off?

Aurore: Or when one of mine fell into the pool?

Kagami: I know, it’s just embarrassing. Right after I have the monologue of a lifetime.

Cosette: Yeah, that does kinda suck.

Aurore: Cosette!

Félix: Working with Lucien as the antagonists is great, just wonderful.

Lucien: Yes, I can’t get enough of playing the villain. There’s just something about it that draws me toward the role.

Félix: Same! And, you know, if there just so happens to be a villain musical number, then you can bet I’m going to give it my all. Hint. Hint.

Lucien: The writers looked at your notes; they said they’d think about it.

Marinette: Having these buttons put on my eyes gave me flashbacks to when I watched Coraline!

Alya: She screamed.

Marinette: I did!

Ivan: They have to be washed constantly, and no one wants that job.

Denise: Sometimes the others make jokes about burning them, and we are beginning to consider it, ‘cause those things are getting rank.

Cast: *Laughing*

Jean: Fuck all these fucking monster words! I need coffee! *Dramatically tosses one end of his scarf over his shoulder and leaves*

Sabrina: The groaning my character does is actually just me saying real sentences from the back of my throat. When I say, “Hello, my name is Sabrina,” people have to listen closely to hear it. I was originally going to groan, but then I thought, ‘Nah! Lemme have some fun with this!’

Rose: Real quick, I can’t find my femur.

Kim: What?

Rose: It was supposed to come off for one scene, and now I can’t find it.

Ismael: *Points to her thigh* Found it. Case solved!

They’re at a safe place. The safe place being the comfort of her own home. Byleth had offered for Ismael to go to her’s, but Ismael insisted her own home. Kyrie’s presence is here. Some of the things they purchased during their time here is still here. After what happened earlier, Ismael needs to feel that closeness.

She’s quiet though. She doesn’t speak for what feels like hours. Eventually, Ismael parts her lips to speak, but it takes a minute for her to find her words
