Getting close to the end of that list now, but for the February ficlets prompt:
a charmed one with their ex bf in an unexpected situation (gen, again dealers choice of who)
Pairing: Paige Matthews & Glen Belland
Background Pairings: Paige Matthews/Henry Mitchell & Glen Belland/Jessica Belland
"Paige!"
The call was loud enough that several people looked over in annoyance, but Paige couldn't have cared less. Glen swept her into a hug while she laughed against his shoulder.
It'd been ages since she'd seen him, and so much had happened since. He seemed to agree as he pulled back, hands on her shoulders, and demanded, "You faked your death?"
"I can explain!" Paige immediately exclaimed.
"And were working for Homeland Security? When did that happen? And-" Finally noticing Henry standing behind Paige, he furrowed his brow and nodded towards him. "And whose that?"
Stepping back, Paige couldn't help her uncharacteristically shy smile as she introduced him. "Henry, this is Glen, my best friend. Glen, this is Henry. My husband."
"What?" Glen squawked.

The Wedding
The Secret Wedding of Lieutenant Willow "Vixen" Mitchell & Lieutenant Jake "Hangman" Seresin
April 2014
Masterlist | Always Darling Masterlist
THE VIBE
WALKING DOWN THE AISLE
FIRST DANCE
THE CEREMONY
Jake was the first to walk down the aisle with his mother on his arm. Mama already had tears in her eyes as she left her baby boy at the altar.
Next down is his father who guides Sarah Kazansky to her seat before settling down next to his wife. Jake watches as his sisters Nancy and Jessica walk down the aisle with their husbands. Nancy and Jess wear dusty blue dresses while their husbands sport the blue, almost gray, suits Willow and Jake had chosen.
Both of his brother in laws give him an encouraging pat in the back and Jake beams even brighter when he sees his twin nephews Hunter and Garrett, Jess’s kids who are just a few months shy of a year, waddle down as the ring bearers. Jake chuckles softly as Jess and her husband each grab one of the boys to hold during the ceremony.
Jake turns his attention back to the aisle where he sees the flower girls. 8 year old twins Maddie and Grace guiding 11 month old Ellorie down the aisle, tossing flower petals left and right. Maddie and Grace split between their parents and Elle be-lines for her father.
“Dada!” Her small shout makes everyone in attendance awe at the sweet little girl. Jake lifts his daughter into his arms where she rests her head. Sarah softly walks over offering to take the young girl so Jake can focus on his almost wife. He willingly shifts his daughter to deposit her into her grandma’s arms.
Softly the music shifts from a soft melody to the song the two had chosen for this exact moment “Still Fallin’” by Hunter Hayes. Jake looks across the group that gathered to celebrate this day and can see the love of his life walking towards his on the arm of her surrogate father, Tom Kazansky.
Jake’s eyes well with tears at the sight. Her hair pulled back just enough for Jake to see the sparkle in her eyes that he loves but not so far that her hair rests on her shoulders the way Jake loves it. He can see her bright smile from miles away and he knows she is just as excited as he is. Willow and Ice stop just before the altar and shakes hands with Jake.
“Take care of my girl, Lieutenant.” Ice says firmly, Jake’s hand still grasped in his.
“Yes sir, Admiral Kazansky.” Jake answers as Ice releases his grip, passing Willow over to Jake with a kiss on her cheek. “Hey darlin.”
“Hi.” Willow smiles, she passes her bouquet to Nancy and turns to face Jake.
It was a simple ceremony. Nothing too fancy. There were no special vows or big speech as their officiant led them through the traditional vows.
When the officiant finally spoke those six words, Jake nearly leapt out of his shoes.
“You may now kiss the bride.”
Jake pulled Willow close by her waist, softly pressing his lips to hers as their family cheered.

Additional X-Men OCs
Olivia Hart: Mira Hart's sister, younger by five years. She is a cisgender lesbian woman, a non-mutant, and middle-school level history teacher. Despite the tensions that rose between Mira and their parents once her mutation developed, she and Olivia remained close.
Anna Fischer: Rae McKinney's best friend. Born and raised in Germany, she was Rae's roommate in Berlin and they remained friends even after life threw a few wrenches in that plan. Anna is a caring friend with an outgoing, bubbly personality. She is a telepath with the gift of foresight.
Jessica "Jess" McKinney: Rae McKinney's older sister. She is a non-mutant, and lives in Lochcarron with her husband Harrison and son Andrew. She works as a nurse and is known as the most mature and rational of the three sisters. She is gentle and nurturing, though still maintains that characteristic zeal and spirit of the rest of the family.
Virginia "Ginny" McKinney: Rae McKinney's younger sister. She is also a non-mutant, and studies engineering at a university in Glasgow. She is similar to Rae in that she is fiesty, somewhat reckless, and spirited. She's a bit brisk, and doesn't enjoy long conversation, though she's very bright and academic when she finds the proper setting.
Malcolm and Catherine McKinney: Rae's parents. Malcolm's side of the family is native to Lochcarron and stems from a line of strong feral mutants. Catherine's side of the family is from Edinburgh and is largely non-mutant save for Catherine's mother, Ayla
Ayla Buchanan: Rae McKinney's maternal grandmother. She was very similar to Rae in her youth (spirited, daring, a risk-taker), and possessed the same ability to create energy shields. After her first marriage turned sour, she took a chance and moved to Lochcarron for a chance at safety. From there, she met her husband and built a family in Lochcarron. She passed away when Rae was roughly eight years old.
Frostbite/Ivan: the first mutant Warren battles during Friday Fight Night (within the context of the fic). Native to Siberia, he was kidnapped and sold to the fighting ring. He has the ability to survive and generate freezing temperatures, including exhaling plumes of frost and dropping his skin to frostbite-generating temperatures. He lost his fight, but was rescued before he could be killed and has since been off the grid.
Puppeteer: a notable enemy from one of Warren's Fight Nights. He is a mutant with the ability to control minds and compel people's actions, which generated quite a scare when he blackmailed Warren by using Rae as bait. Though he lost his original fight, he generated enough intrigue to be spared the execution, and became a repeat threat later in the story.
Alecia: a temporary ally and friend from one of Rae's and Warren's missions with the X-Men. She has the ability to see people's auras, with different colors symbolizing different core traits or stages of life. After breaking the X-Men's cover during a hidden mission, she chooses to help rather than ratting them out.
Clarity Mitchell: a young mutant with the ability to reverse physical trauma - though in reversing trauma, she also unintentionally wipes the person's memories. She is deafmute and uses ASL primarily to communicate. By using her ability in combination with Rae's mental shielding, they are able to restore Warren's wings to their natural feathered state without sacrificing his memory.
Clémentine: a young mutant recovered by Rae and Mystique on a mission to Normandy, France. She is an empath with the ability to sense and manipulate emotion, though she gives off an uncontrolled aura of magnifying emotion.
Jack: a friendly cameraman who assisted on an interview with Charles Xavier and a few of the other X-Men. Notably from the American South, and has a very outgoing and pleasant personality.
Alistair Harris: a snakelike mutant living in Lochcarron. He is 96, though appears no older than 70, and his skin is covered in russet-brown scales like a copperhead snake. He has sharp, venomous fangs and snakelike yellow eyes, though he has a short, stooped posture and wispy white hair. His personality is lighthearted and grandfatherly, and he acts as an honorary member of Rae's family. He runs a pie shop in Lochcarron.
Philip Olsen: Alistair's long-time life partner, a caribou mutant originally from Oslo, Norway. He is over 140 years old, and came to Lochcarron seeking safety after a lifetime of wandering. He is 6'4" and barrel-chested, with a large rack of antlers like a caribou. His skin is covered in a thin layer of brown-white fur, and his hands are somewhat hooflike. He is a painter by trade, and is soft-spoken and gentle in nature. It is implied that his past includes a mutant-fighting organization not unlike the one Warren was trapped in.
John Patton: a caretaker at the Worthington estate, who acted as more of a father figure to Warren than his actual father ever did. He is in his mid-sixties, though he dyes his hair black to appear younger. He is old-fashioned and chivalrous, though he has a paternal joking side around Warren.
Diane Worthington: Worthington Jr.'s second wife. She is in her mid-forties, and is friendly and chipper though not terribly sharp. At the time of the fic, she and Warren's father are coming up on a year of marriage.
Hazel Woodard: One of three triplets adopted as Madison's sisters. At the time of Smoke and Mirrors, she is thirteen. She is Black and wears her hair in a natural hairstyle. She has the ability to manipulate plant life. She is confident and protective, not unlike Madison, and often serves as the leader of her sisters.
Honesty Woodard: Another of the triplets. She, like Hazel, is thirteen at the time of Smoke and Mirrors, and also chooses to wear her hair in a natural style. She and Hazel look very similar, and it often comes down to their choice of clothing to distinguish them at a glance. She has the ability to sense when somebody is telling the truth, and later to compel them into honesty as well. She is quiet and observant, and often acts as a mediator rather than engaging in conflict herself.
Hope Woodard: The third and final of the triplets. She is thirteen at the time of Smoke and Mirrors. While she appears identical to her sisters in physical traits, she chooses to wear her hair in braids and is therefore easier to distinguish at a glance. She has the ability to heal someone by drawing the injury out of them and into another person, which works best when the injury can be spread across a large group of people. She is compassionate and empathetic though slightly naïve, and would do anything to find a peaceful solution to conflict.
Trevor Sly: the primary villain in Smoke and Mirrors. He has no corporeal form, and instead appears as a large cloud of thick greenish smoke. He takes various "hosts" to strengthen himself, though it ages and weakens them in a manner of months. Without a host, dispelling his smoke (such as with a strong gust of wind) would kill him. He is relentlessly driven and motivated, particularly when it comes to protecting his daughter, though this leads to him becoming cruel and not knowing where to draw the line.
Kimberly Sly: Trevor's daughter, roughly age thirteen. She is in the process of developing the same mutation as her father, and gradually loses her corporeal body as she instead becomes a bluish cloud of smoke. She refuses her father's plans to find her a host, though this doesn't stop him from trying. She is quiet and somewhat mournful, and regrets the carnage that has been caused supposedly on her behalf
Jonathan "Johnny" Douglas: Madison's older brother, two years older than her. He was on the football team and was a decent student outside it, and seemed to be on the fast-track to a bright future. His unfortunate death was what spurred Madison into running away.
Casey Crane: one of Johnny's football teammates in high school. He was crass and rude, and especially enjoyed making harassing comments towards Madison when he got the chance. One day he crossed the line, and it sparked the chain of events that led to Madison fleeing home.
Bravo: a wolfdog adopted by Madison in Smoke and Mirrors. He is one-half grey wolf, 25% husky, and 25% Bernese mountain dog. He is a very large animal, with mottled gray-brown fur, large triangular ears, a long and wolfish snout, and amber-brown eyes. He is very well trained, and primarily acts like an affectionate, spoiled house-dog - unless his "pack" is in danger, that is.
Yoda: a cat adopted by Robin Cassidy. He is a Cornish Rex with a black-and-white tuxedo coat. He is often aloof and shy around newcomers, as cats are, though affectionate towards Robin and Peter.
Six: a clone of Warren Worthington III, encountered when Robin Cassidy is captured by Trask's cloning organization. He appears physically identically to Warren, save for a much shorter haircut, though he showcases childlike wonderment and confusion at times. He has a blending of Warren's memories and some of his own, and sometimes experiences migraine-like "lapses" where he is painfully overtaken by Warren's memories. He is only a few months old, though artificially aged to adulthood.
Jay: a clone of Jean Grey, also encountered during Robin's capture. She is "fragmented", and cannot get a good grasp on her memories or telepathic abilities because of something that went wrong in the cloning process. She appears physically identical to Jean, though her hair is shaved down to a clinical buzz-cut. She is largely conflicted and sometimes shows genuine remorse and caring, though her need to follow authority gets the better of her.
Max: a clone of Peter Maximoff, encountered during Robin's capture. He appears completely physically identical to Peter, hair included, since he was intended to switch places as a means of infiltrating the X-Mansion. He was discovered as a few minor quirks were noticed by Robin, and the plan was halted. He is twitchy and restless, and devoutly follows Trask's orders, though he is not entirely badhearted.
Cindy Green: Robin's director at the operahouse. She is in her mid-fifties, and treats her operahouse and actors as her family. She is brisk and businesslike, a woman who has a very specific artistic vision and knows just how to achieve it, though she has a loyal and compassionate streak that comes through when Robin or another of her close-knit group of actors is in trouble.

The Academy has spoken. The nominations for the 94th annual Academy Awards have been announced. Some minor surprises? No acting awards for DON'T LOOK UP. People speculated that Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio would get nods. No Best Director nomination for Denis Villeneuve, but he did garner a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. No Lady Gaga nod. Dame Judi Dench pulling a nod while her more lauded costar Caitríona Balfe didn't get one.
Jesse Plemons who was largely ignored garnering a nomination (a slot that IMO should have gone to Jared Leto for HOUSE OF GUCCI or even Ben Affleck for THE TENDER BAR).
It's a love affair. Two couples are nominated. Penelope Cruz and husband Javier Bardem and Kirsten Dunst and her fiance Jesse Plemons.
Record making. Jane Campion is the first female director to get two nomination. Denzel Washington is the most nominated Black actor.

“The Worst Person in the World.” It is one of my favorite films of the year. The way Joachim Trier makes films, tells stories is so poignant and inventive and fresh and alive. City Lights Booksellers’ Pride 2020 Reading List
This June (and always), we look to our queer elders who came before us. Without them and their courage to riot and demand equality, we wouldn't have the Pride we know today. We especially want to name our Black trans siblings, who to this day face disproportionate discrimination and violence in this system. To honor our own San Francisco history / herstory / theirstory, here are 54 titles to commemorate the 54 years since the Compton Cafeteria Riots in the Tenderloin.

&&. announcing her majesty, ( joanne villacura ), the ( 38 ) year old (queen consort ) of ( chile ). she is often confused with ( shay mitchell ). some say that she is ( conniving & selfish ), but she is actually ( resourceful & sharp-witted )
Okay so here goes muse number 4. Mainly I wanted to play someone bitchy ! I’ll give you a sort of bio and then some bullet points.
The beginning
Basically she was born Jessica Tala Adelaide Greenwood, an Australian heiress. Her mother belongs to the Greenwood mining empire. Her mother’s family is one percent type of rich. Her father is a Filipino second generation immigrant who raised through the ranks at the mining company and married her mother. She is an only child and likes it that way.
She had a cliché and classic elite type of life. Only the best for Jessica. She knew all the famous, rich, influential people in Australia and part of Asia. As an heiress she knew she would never have to worry about money or having a job. She was bored and aimless for part of her life. At some point one of her maternal uncle became senator. She took an interest into politics and influence. It was the seed of the scheming bitch she would grow into.
The middle
She went to the same school as Nathalie and Luca while they were in Australia. They did not met as Joanne was several years younger but she heard many rumours about them. Even years after they left, people kept talking about the royals who went to the Armidale Scool. Because of all those gossips Joanne thought that having a title was cool. But not just any title, a title that would grant her power for life. Eventually, she decided that she wanted real power over people. And politic was just temporary and a gamble. A crown lasted forever. It must be thrilling to be queen and less boring than just having a mining empire. A company and assets were not that interesting. Playing with people’s lives, that was something that excited her.
She bribed her way into Oxford to shop for a husband. She studied economics but really what she was after was a crown. Oxford was full of important people, heirs, children of celebrities, politicians, nobles and royals. It was the best place to find a prince and trap him. She was pretty and rich. She was a catch and she knew it. It was not hard to get the attention of men. She seduced Fabricio, the crown prince of Chile. He was not necessarily her first choice, she would have liked a country more “important” than Chile, but he was the best she could do at the time. It was also at Oxford that she befriended Nathalie. After she arrived in England, Joanne reached out to the Romanian princess who was an alumni from Armidale. The two women quickly got along and they grew even closer as Joanne started to infiltrate the crowd of nobles and royals.
The present
Fabricio, being older than her, finished his studies before her. Since she had no interest in her degree (or actual studying capability ), she dropped out of Oxford to follow him back to Chile. She managed to have him propose and they had a flashy wedding. She changed her name to Joanne. She went from Jessica Greenwood to her royal highness Joanne Villacura.
She knew that at some point she would be queen and was happy to have achieved her goal. She became very involved in Chile’s affairs and was living her best scheming life. She gave Fabricio two sons mainly to secure her place and influence in case her husband would divorce her. For that same reason she was named duchess of Valparaíso. Her husband became king a few years ago.
Personality
She loves power and is basically a scheming bitch. She is bisexual but more into women. She likes to use men and use people in general. She sees most of them as means to an end. She probably won’t talk to you if she does not benefit from it. She can be a fake ass bitch. She is not a good person and not a good mother but she manages to control her image enough so that people believe that she loves her family and Chile. Does she actually love her husband and children ? In her own way I guess. She likes to surround herself with bright people and people who challenge her. She also likes to have a court of bootlickers. It makes her feel important. She has always many ideas and plans. She likes to play and toy with people’s lives. She is quickly bored and needs distractions to fill the void inside of her.
Some bullet points
She was Nathalie D'Ansembourg best friend. The two women loved to intrigue together. She was very sad when Nathalie passed away. Still is not over it because Joanne doesn’t have many “real” friends
She comes from a super rich family. Like 1% type of rich. The kind that don’t care that their mining company is destroying the environment and aboriginal lands.
The Greenwood family claims old noble blood from England but it’s probably bs.
Jessica was the most popular girl name in 1984 in New South Wales. It’s a very basic name and she hates it. It does not sound royal at all. That’s why she changed it after she married Farbicio.
Her father married into money and she married into royalty. I guess social climbing is in the blood
That don’t impress me much by Shania Twain.mp3
Her snobbishness gets her into trouble because she will straight up ignore you if you don’t look rich or important. She’s made a couple of mistakes with other royals in the past.
A little bit about Chile (since I won’t do a task for forever)... The royal family was put in place in the 1970′s instead of the Pinochet dictatorship. The powerful Villacura family established a monarchy after decades of political instabilities. Some people are still wanting the country to be a republic but most have grown accustomed to the monarchy.
She’s born in 1984 and I still need to decide the exact date for zodiac and all purposes
Her first son was born in 2012 and her second son in 2018
Fabricio Villacrua is Santiago Cabrera in my mind and I eventually will write an adopt for him.
She speaks English, Filipino and Spanish
Wanted connections
relatives of her husband
someone she could have had an affair with
a nemesis
a couple of friends
someone she manipulates ?
fake friends who like know they’re not really friends but pretends to be
mum club ?
An ally

The American black comedy crime thriller A Simple Favor was released in 2018, and its cast members in it are extremely recognizable. The film, directed by Paul Feig from a screenplay written by Jessica Sharzer, is a suspenseful story based on the 2017 novel of the same name, written by Darcey Bell. The movie stars Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in the main roles, among other notable actors in supporting roles. The plot centers on a small-town video blogger who attempts to solve the mystery behind her friend's disappearance.
A Simple Favor was released by Lionsgate, and the movie garnered critical praise upon its theatrical release. Most critics praised the chemistry of the ensemble cast, and also wrote enthusiastically about the movie's shocking plot twists and turns. The film ended up making $5.9 million on its first day alone, and grossed a total of $97 million worldwide, on a budget of only $20 million.

Indeed, the movie has an impressive cast led by its main stars, Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick. Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, and Linda Cardellini are some of the supporting cast members, as well as Jean Smart, Rupert friend, Eric Johnson, and Dustin Milligan, among other actors.
Blake Lively takes on the role of Emily Nelson, Hope McLanden, and Faith McLanden in A Simple Favor, and her character's life is the most interesting part of the film. Viewers know Lively from teen movies The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Accepted, Simon Says, and other early-aughts flicks. Later, she appeared in movies ranging from New York, I Love You to The Town to superhero flick Green Lantern, which she starred in alongside her future husband Ryan Reynolds. In more recent years, Lively has appeared in The Age of Adaline, The Shallows, Café Society, and All I See Is You.
Following her success with A Simple Favor, Lively starred in the movie The Rhythm Section in 2020 alongside actors Jude Law and Sterling K. Brown. The movie follows a grieving woman who goes on a destructive path for revenge after learning that the plane crash that killed her family was actually a terrorist attack. To date, that is Lively's most recent role. From 2007 - 2012, of course, Lively starred as Serena van Der Woodsen in the hit show Gossip Girl, for which she won several accolades.
Like Lively, actress Anna Kendrick, who portrays Stephanie Smothers in A Simple Favor, has been working in Hollywood for several years. She first became a familiar face for her role as Jessica Stanley in the Twilight movies. Following the franchise's end, Kendrick began to take on different roles. She played Natalie Keener in Up In The Air, Janet Taylor in End of Watch and voiced Courtney Babock in ParaNorman. In 2012, Kendrick reached full stardom for playing Becca Mitchell in the popular movie Pitch Perfect. After that, Kendrick appeared in a slew of movies from 2013 until A Simple Favor in 2018, including What to Expect When You're Expecting, Drinking Buddies, Cake, Into the Woods, the two Pitch Perfect sequels, and The Accountant. She also appeared in the movies Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and voiced a character in Trolls.

Following her turn as Stephanie in A Simple Favor, Kendrick played Kendra Glack in the 2019 movie The Day Shall Come and portrayed Noelle Kringle in the holiday movie Noelle, released the same year. She also reprised her role in Trolls for the movie's 2020 sequel.
Andre Rannells, who plays Darren in A Simple Favor, began his career in television. He voiced characters on children's shows, like Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, as a kid, and the early aughts also saw his break into theater. He had numerous roles on the stage, and in 2011 played Elder Kevin Price in The Book of Mormon as an original cast member. From 2014 - 2018, he also had roles in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Hamilton, Falsettos, and The Boys in the Band.
Related: Disney+ & HBO Max Already Have One Thing In Common: Anna Kendrick
Rannells became a familiar face on the screen when he joined the cast of Girls from 2012 - 2017, playing Elijah Krantz in 35 episodes. This role led him to other television parts, including Bryan Collins in The New Normal and Frazier H. Wingo in The Knick, as well as guest appearances in hit shows like How I Met Your Mother and Glee. He also had voice roles in the shows Sofia the First, Welcome to the Wayne, and Vampirina. Most notably, in 2017 Rannells joined the cast of Big Mouth. He continues to play that role into 2021, as well as continues to make occasional guest appearances on other shows. In terms of film — Rannell's most recent roles were in the 2020 films The Boys in the Band, The Prom, and The Stand In. And before appearing in 2018's A Simple Favor, he had parts in 2016's Why Him? and 2015's The Intern.
Linda Cardellini plays the part of Diana Hyland in A Simple Favor. Cardellini first became a household name in 1999, when she starred as Lindsay Weir in the cult television series Freaks and Geeks. That wasn't her first time in a series, though; throughout the late 1990s, she appeared in shows like Bone Chillers, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Clueless, Step by Step, Promised Land, Kenan & Kel, and Boy Meets World, among other programs.
Post-Freaks and Geeks, Cardellini continued her career in TV, appearing as Samantha Taggart in ER as Bliss Goode and Shelly in The Goode Family. She also had turns in popular shows like Gravity Falls, Mad Men, and New Girl, and took on the serious role of Meg Rayburn in 2015 for 33 episodes of Bloodline. In 2019, Cardellini began portraying Judy Hale in the Netflix series Dead to Me, opposite Christina Applegate.
Related: Why Freaks and Geeks Was Cancelled After One Season
Of course, many movie watchers know Cardellini's likeness from feature films. She appeared as Chutney Wyndham in Legally Blonde, and famously portrayed Velma Dinkley in Scooby-Doo and its sequel. Cardellini also had parts in Brokeback Mountain, The Lazarus Project, Kill the Irishman, and Daddy's Home and its sequel. Superhero movie fans know Cardellini as Laura Barton, the wife of Clint Barton aka Hawkeye in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avengers: Endgame. And Cardellini has also starred in critically acclaimed films like Green Book, in which she played Dolores. In 2020, Cardellini portrayed Mae Capone in the movie Capone.
Actor Henry Golding portrays Sean Townsend in A Simple Favor. Golding has been a presenter on BBC's The Travel Show since 2014. Today's movie watchers primarily know him for playing the role of Nick Young in the hit 2018 movie Crazy Rich Asians, for which he won a Teen Choice Award. He also took on the role of Tom in the recent 2019 romantic-comedy holiday flick Last Christmas. Some lesser-known movies Townsend has appeared in include Pisau Cukur, Monsoon, and The Gentlemen. His most recent project is Snake Eyes, which is in post-production. In addition to being a longtime host on BBC's travel show, Golding has hosted shows including Football Crazy, Welcome to the Railworld Japan, and Surviving Borneo.
Jean Smart, who played Margaret McLanden in A Simple Favor, is most known for playing Lana Gardner on the NBC sitcom Frasier - a role for which she won two Primetime Emmy Awards. She started her impressive acting career in both film and television in the late 1970s. Some of the notable movies she's appeared in include Piaf, Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, Snow Day, Sweet Home Alabama, Garden State, Life As We Know It, The Accountant, and, most recently, Superintelligence.
Related: Blake Lively & Michiel Huisman Talk 'Age of Adaline' Science, Harrison Ford & More
Smart has also appeared in television shows other than Fraiser throughout her career. She voiced Helen Ventrix in an episode of Batman: The Animated Series, played Sally Brewton in three episodes of Scarlett, and played Elinore "Ellie" Walker for 13 episodes of High Society. She also gained recognition for playing Martha Logan, the First Lady, in the show 24, and for portraying Regina Newly in 35 episodes of Samantha Who?
Smart was in numerous other television series up until her turn in A Simple Favor, and also appeared in small guest roles in popular shows like Halt and Catch Fire and The McCarthys. In more recent years, Smart portrayed Floyd Gerhardt in Fargo and Melanie Bird in Legion, as well as Arlane Hart in Dirty John, Mimi in Arrested Development, and series regular Agent Laurie Blake in Watchmen.
Rupert Friend played Dennis Nylon in A Simple Favor. The actor began his career with the 2004 movie The Libertine. He first became a familiar face when he took on the role of Mr. Wickham in Pride & Prejudice. Throughout the early aughts he had several other significant roles, including Sandy Mardell in Outlaw and Demetrius in The Last Legion, as well as Lt. Kurt Kotler in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and Prince Albert in The Young Victoria.

TV-wise, Friend is most known for portraying the character Peter Quinn in 58 episodes of Homeland. For his performance as Peter, Friend was nominated for numerous accolades. He also appeared in other shows since the end of Homeland, including Dream Corp, LLC, Strange Angel, and, most recently, Anatomy of a Scandal.
Eric Johnson as Davis: played Flash Gordon on the eponymous 2007 - 2008 television series, as well as Whintey Fordman on the show Smallville and Jack Hyde in the Fifty Shades franchise, among other roles.
Dustin Milligan as Chris: played Ethan Ward on the teen drama show 90210. Most recently, of course, the majority of television watchers know him as Ted Mullens from Schitt's Creek.
Bashir Salahuddin as Detective Summervile: appeared in the movies Snatched and Gringo, and since then has been in Marriage Story and The 24th. He's also known as a writer on Maya and Marty and for portraying Keith Bang on GLOW and Office Goodnight on South Side.
Kelly McCormack as Stacy: known for playing Zeph in the sci-fi show Killyjoys and for playing Betty Anne on the show Letterkenny. Most recently, she wrote, produced, and starred in the feature film Sugar Daddy.
Sarah Baker as Maryanne Chelkowsky: was previously in the movies The Campaign and Mascots, as well as shows like The Kominsky Method and Louie.
Melissa O'Neil as Beth: first gained fame for winning the third season of Canadian Idol in 2005. She's also known for her roles as Two/Rebecca/Portia Lin on the sci-fi series Dark Matter and as Officer Lucy Chen on the police drama show The Rookie.
Of course, viewers have probably seen these listed stars in other movies and TV shows, too. This is a non-exhaustive list of the films and shows that they are most likely recognized from. When all of these actors came together to work on 2018's A Simple Favor, it was a notable project. The movie was praised for its ensemble effort and continues to gain traction among movie watchers today.

When it was announced that The Rosie O'Donnell Show would be back for one night only with a guest list of about 15 million Broadway talents, many of us wondered, would it be a return to the glory days of her multiple Emmy-winning daytime talk show or more like her ill-fated attempt to resuscitate the primetime variety format on NBC in 2008. It turned out to borrow from both those predecessors while evolving into something completely different — a low-tech lovefest that felt like eavesdropping on a group chat among friends looking out for one another in a time of need.
It was spontaneous, messy and blighted by some of the worst audio glitches imaginable. Yet it was often affectingly intimate, and even over an endurance-testing three-and-a-half commercial-free hours, also strangely addictive. The lack of slickness seemed to carry through to the relaxed manner of the guests, and their refreshing unpretentiousness.
Conceived by actor-producer (and occasional tech-support helpmate) Erich Bergen and live-streamed on Broadway.com and the website's YouTube channel, the show was a benefit for The Actors Fund, the charitable organization founded in 1882 that supports performers and behind-the-scenes theater workers. It raised more than half-a-million dollars, O'Donnell announced at the end of the marathon, sitting in a Hamilton hoodie and offering a champagne toast in a glass emblazoned with the face of Barbra Streisand.
She conducted the entire show from behind a laptop in her New Jersey garage, its floor spattered with the paint spillage of countless craft projects. "I'm a little bit of a Broadway nerd, I admit it," said O'Donnell, establishing her dual role as host and superfan.
Part of the show's unique pleasure was seeing favorite Broadway performers chilling in their own homes, almost all of them dressed down, with little visible attention to makeup or hair, and zero concern about unflattering angles. It was a great equalizer, proving that even artists who can hold packed theaters in the palm of their hands with a song are housebound and trying to make the best of a bad situation just like the rest of us — staying close to their families, killing time, learning to cook, wondering how long this unnerving isolation will last. Or how much longer we can put off that shower.
It was kind of comforting to see Idina Menzel sitting by her microwave and confessing, "I guess I'm going a little bonkers," while lamenting a failed lasagna attempt and sharing the challenges of homeschooling her son when she's no math genius. Likewise, hearing Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker talk about watching Columbo reruns or catching up on The Crown, while SJP begged for no spoilers on the final episode of The Sopranos, which she may now get to at last. Seeing Annette Bening on her Los Angeles balcony wearing a "Make America Kind Again" baseball cap was as much a tonic as watching Neil Patrick Harris do a card trick with his adorable twins. And who doesn't want to meet Gloria and Emilio Estefan's cute rescue dogs or hear about Lin-Manuel Miranda's kids' reaction to their first exposure to Singin' in the Rain?
Then there were the musical interludes.
Where else could you catch Patti LuPone, in magnificent voice, singing the urgently upbeat 1930s standard "A Hundred Years From Today," unaccompanied while sitting by the jukebox in her basement? Or Kelli O'Hara nestled into an armchair honoring Stephen Sondheim's 90th birthday by wrapping her crystalline soprano around "Take Me to the World," a hymn to unity from Evening Primrose? Or husband and wife Audra McDonald and Will Swenson duetting on the Charlie Chaplin evergreen, "Smile," from their Westchester living room? Or Darren Criss pouring his heart into another Sondheim classic about the desire for connection, "Being Alive," from Company, accompanying himself in a lovely pop arrangement on acoustic guitar from the sofa of his Los Angeles home? And while sound problems plagued Barry Manilow's selection of hits, ending with "I Made It Through the Rain," I was tickled to see his Judy Garland Kleenex dispenser.
Many of the song choices were thoughtfully apropos of the current crisis, offering comforting reassurance of the eventual return of resilience and togetherness while people in major cities all over the country self-isolate as the infection rate of the coronavirus pandemic continues to climb. Maybe Tituss Burgess at his home keyboard singing "The Glory of Love" is exactly the kind of uplift we all need right now.
Even in the seemingly random numbers, the entire enterprise was characterized by a spirit of generosity and sharing.
Kristin Chenoweth celebrated a Starbucks romance in "Taylor the Latte Boy." Matthew Morrison goofed it up on ukulele to a mashup of "The Bare Necessities" and "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" from his Disney Dreamin' album. Alan Menken whipped through a medley of his songs from The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Little Shop of Horrors, among others, at the piano. Ben Platt, also at the keyboard, did Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love." And Adrienne Warren, the sensational star of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, growled out "Simply the Best" from her bathtub. That was on the third attempt during a particularly troublesome audio patch, by which time her bubbles were history.
Prompted by O'Donnell, more than one guest reminded viewers that The Actors Fund is not just about Broadway artists pulling star salaries but also stagehands, makeup artists, wigmakers and ushers who work in what is very much a gig economy. The organization provides emergency financial assistance, social services, affordable housing, healthcare and insurance counseling and addiction support.
"Everything's a one-off," said Tony-winning actor Brian Stokes Mitchell, who serves as chairman of The Actors Fund. "That's how we get by, and many people are living on the edge right now."
"We're all just one, two, maybe three paychecks away from bankruptcy," added Billy Porter, whose mother is in an Actors Fund nursing home. "In this community, our whole job description is insecurity," said Judith Light.
Porter, along with Lea Salonga and longtime activist Light recalled how Broadway was on the frontlines of another life-threatening struggle during the early days of the AIDS crisis. All of them urged viewers to stay strong and take the time to reflect on the value of solidarity.
While O'Donnell has never been shy about her opposition to Donald Trump and everything he stands for, the show was remarkably light on politics, with just the occasional dig slipping through. She opened with a little celebratory "Yay!" while admitting she had missed the president's daily coronavirus press update, and then explained that she and her guests were not there to talk Trump. When Harvey Fierstein, O'Donnell's 2005 stage husband in Fiddler on the Roof, reminded her of all the election work still to be done, she said, "Let's all just know, we deserve a leader who tells the truth." And the delays in making coronavirus testing more widely available prompted a comment that the government should have gotten busy on that back in January when the writing was already on the wall.
Mostly, however, the hastily revamped Rosie O'Donnell Show was about bringing people together at this time of anxiety and isolation, as the host reconnected with artists whom she has championed since her reign as the Queen of Nice. "Everyone in the community loves you," she told Chita Rivera in a particularly effusive greeting. "You are our queen mother!"
Many of the performers would have been decompressing after rehearsals or Sunday matinees if the Broadway shutdown hadn't happened — Criss in American Buffalo, Broderick and Parker in Plaza Suite, Warren in Tina, Lauren Patten and Elizabeth Stanley in Jagged Little Pill. Sunday would have been LuPone's opening night in the gender-flipped revival of Company. Gavin Creel, who abruptly ended his London run in Waitress to fly home and is in isolation in a cabin in upstate New York, revealed the fear that he might have contracted the virus, given that several others in the cast have fallen ill, with one of them testing positive.
The show bridged the gap separating us from artists whose work we normally experience on the other side of the footlights. Most of us will never again get to see Stephen Sondheim and Andrew Lloyd Webber exchange greetings in song on the birthday the two composers happen to share. From those celebrated veterans to rising-star newbies, the common denominator here was everybody facing the crisis just like us, reaching out a hand of friendship, albeit from a mandatory safe distance.

I wanted a Clarice tv show so so badly, I love Clarice Starling with all my heart and she deserves to be more known. She is my role model since I was twelve. But I'm a little concern because I don't know very much the actress casted to play the role. The few characters I saw from her are not really my thing. And I don't feel her as a Clarice, she doesn't look like I imagined her either. Ugh. I'm excited about the show, but I hope she convinces me as Clarice Starling because it is a big deal for me. To like the actress. I know she is nice, I follow Luke Mitchell since I watched the tomorrow people (her husband) and they are very cute. But I'm not sure if she truly is a good actress. And let's be honest, if they are going to make a show about Clarice we need someone good. She is a very complex character. I hope I can learn to like her. Maybe she will surprise me.
I wanted Jessica Chastain as a Clarice (maybe an older Clarice) but I know that's not going to happen ever. Oh. I want my Hannibal (book version) movie sequel with Jessica as Clarice.
