And he has this idea of "no more mister nice guy/boring virgin" so feel like Ray's addiction is gonna play a bigger part in their "relationship" now.Mew is gonna wanna "let loose" and we see the police in the preview.

Ray is basking in the glory of "getting" Mew, he's obviously gonna celebrate with drinks and drugs.

A shame cos, him denying he's an alcoholic to Sand, i thought we'd finally see some discussion on his dependence and abuse, but NOPE, NOT TODAY, why can't I have nice things?

In the preview, we see him interrupting Sand's hookup AGAIN. Hope we get some conflict in the Sandray dynamic. I want some pushback from Sand.

A: it's very soft! like human hair askdfjfl not as thick as an animal's coat. he doesnt shed much either, and theres no seasonal winter/summer coat going on.

if you shaved him bald, his little spots/stripe kitty markings would also be present on his skin, just not as pronounced

he also has a serrated tongue like a goose. the angels are used to grooming each other with tongues like cats. it hURTS on human skin so he def has licked meryl on the head before

It's still very sketchy bc I haven't been able to sit down and really make a plot outline. :') i have a hard time writing stories unless I know the ending, and to know the ending I need to figure out where I want the character arcs to go. For this AU, I'm trying to not make it too much like the canon-verse storyline but it keeps mirroring it in a lot of ways sdfglgklh;

My ratings of shadowhunter books (spoilers)

1. TMI: City of bones 2.5/5, great introduction but the writing isnt that good and sometimes little boring

2. TMI: City of ashes 3/5, this would be 5/5 if that “we are siblings, lets till be together” wouldn't be happening. I really love alec and magnus in this but i actually enjoy the plot too. Maia is introduced, yay

3. TMI: City of Glass 3.5/5 i like the plot, i am not loving the “oops kissed my brother again”-thing. Isabella is badass, malec awesome, Aline introduced yeahh. I liked valentine and sebastian as villains. RIP max :(

4. TMI: City of fallen angels 2/5 only good thing in this is simons and jaces friendship and sebastian becoming villain again. Plot was weak. Maia awesome.

5. TMI: City of lost souls 4/5 i really enjoyed the plot and everyone else except clary. Page 511 killed me, cried so much... The end battle was little disappointing.

6. TMI: City of heavenly fire 5/5 i just love this book. I love the plot, i love every main character (even clary is good in this book) i love love love everything. Ending felt little bittersweet which i loved. Writing was good and alec was sassy. Only minus: RAPHAEL DIED!

7. TID: Clockwork angel 3/5 it was good but when i read it first time i really excepted something more, especially from will herondale. I like tessas powers and i am in love with jem but i really dont like tessa and will as characters. Plot was okay but not the best.

8. TID: Clockwork prince 3.5/5 i love jem even more. I dont hate will anymore but definitely rooting for jessa. Tessa was definitely better in this. I enjoy the lightwood siblings really much. And sophie and jessamine. Plot was okay but i cared more for wills plot than the whole plot.

9. TID: Clockwork princess 4.5/5 i love this plot and love every side character, i am even more invested in them than in the main ones. Jem died, hated it (but i knew it had to happen). I just didnt like the wessa endgame. the epilogy killed me.

10. TDA: Lady midnight 4/5 i actually really loved this one! Emma was amazing and her friendship with christine was everything. I was little bored during kit’s story but in the end it made so much sense. The plot was good but sometimes a little boring. I am not super big fan of the “we love each other but cant be together” trope.

11. TDA: Lord of shadows 3.5/5 i absolutely adore kit (and ty and livvy) in this. I hated zara but that was the point. This felt sometimes a little boring but the ending was sad but good. I am glad emma and jules decided to ask for help. AND MALEC IN IT OMG

12. TDA: Queen of Air and Darkness 5/5 this was just incredible. The plot was great, i loved thule. Jemma is happy yay. I loved the battle and i really loved kitty. The ending was just so shocking i excepted everything to be happily ever after. AND MALEC WEDDING I CRIED SO MUCH. I ACTUALLy liked clary in this book. Emma was amazing as always and julian was good. I liked christines ending but i wasnt super invested in her relationship. My man diego really saved himself in this.

13. TLH: Chain of gold 3/5 it was great and the writing was like really really good. Just didnt care for james herondale in this and sometimes felt a little boring. The ending was good. Grace is interesting.

14. TLH: Chain of Iron 4/5 omg i loved this! Cordelia is amazing and i actually liked james in this one. Lucie wasnt good in this, i didnt like her in this book.Everyone else was so good. Grace is just so interesting, Christopher needs more lines, Thomas and Alastair have my heart. Pls someone help Matthew. I ship jordelia. What a cliffhanger in the end cant wait for chainf of thorns.

15. TEC: Red Scrolls of magic 5/5 i know many people didnt love it this much but i just cant help myself. I really enjoyed the plot even tho i knew they would survive. Malec was amazing in this but ALINE AND HELEN were sooo cute. I was crying, i was laughing. My ultimate comfort book, i have read it like 5 times already. I know the rating should probably be lower because of my previous one but sometimes you just like something so much you dont care that it has flaws.

16. TEC: Lost book of the white 4/5 i loved this one too but some characters (like simon) were little weird in this one. I enjoyed the plot but it wasnt the best but i am so excited for the future. RAGNOR IS JUST AMAZING. Magnus and Alec were awesome too.

17. Tales from the shadowhunter academy 3.5/5 I fell in love with simon and george as characters. Malec was so precious. Isabella was complex and interetsing and i enjoyed her. Clary and Simin becoming parabatai was awesome. Some of the stories from the past were reallyy boring. RIP George, i miss him so so so so so much.

18. The Bane chronicles 3/5 some stories were 5/5 some were really boring. But i love magnus (my fav character) so of course i enjoyed this. 

19. Ghosts from the shadow market 4/5 i was happy to read stories from jems pov. Most of the stories were really good and i loved how it wasnt JUST jems pov. Malec of course was amazing but so was kitty, Anna Lightwood and jessa. Story about jace arriving was just heartwarming. Some stories were little boring (a deeper love for example) but it was anyway best from these standalones.

20. The shadowhunter codex 2.5/5 of course it was nice to see book with clarys, simons and jaces writing but overall this was little boring (i am not surprised but i am not fan of these kind of books). I liked to learn new thing but yeah this was really hard to rate because there isnt any story in it.

i love that meen is actually more assertive than his first impression, and he’s not as naive as i thought he would be

meen demanding headrubs and using duen’s head as a lap pillow

i love morkpi but duenmeen is the superior couple, i’ve been completely taken by them

i hope they never have any major angst plot, they can just be cute side fluff

i also love that duen fell in love so fast, i thought it would take him a lot longer

pi having that photo of nan above his bed is actually pretty cute

also it’s just a very cute photo of mix

lol pi realizing that duen took his coat and that conversation between them on the phone

i’m upset that the perfume gag never came back up again that day

i wish mork would respect pi wanting privacy a bit more, regardless of whether they’re together or not, pi not wanting the entire campus to ship him with someone he doesn’t like is perfectly reasonable

i also feel like part of pi confessing to nan is a kind of self-test, like if nan--handsome, kind, popular--likes pi back then it means he’s worth something, but if nan can’t like him back then it would mean he’s worthless, which is very sad pls have more confidence pi!

i love that we’re finally getting the explanation of fish upon the sky

can someone please tell the writers that it’s okay for one of the main characters to have genuine feelings for someone who isn’t the other lead and for those feelings to have a significant impact on them and their growth even if those feelings aren’t endgame and that they don’t need to be reduced to “he’s hot and nice”?

pi chugging a whole can of beer in order to pass out and avoid talking about his feelings is such a mood

pls give us more soft dorky mork who gazes dreamily at his sleeping crush then panics when said crush starts to wake up, he’s so much cuter than smooth-talking mork (thought he’s good too)

i need everybody in this show to pls back off pi for a bit and give him time to think through his feelings and stop pressuring him pls

hey i really need the mom to not be mad that pi understandly keep his sexuality a secret, that’s not info you’re entitled to just because you have a close relationship

also wish we had had a bit more build to pi “changing”

i need the mom to back off, confronting someone like that is not how you start a healthy conversation

this scene of pi in the rain is just so heartbreaking, i’m glad someone is there to give him a hug

that feeling of never being quiet the right thing or quite enough even when you try your best is so painful

next ep: i’m glad mork and pi have agreed to be friends bc what pi really needs right now is a friends rather than a lover until he can learn to love himself and know that there isn’t anything wrong with him, also finally the confrontation btw duen and meen, i hope duen tells the whole truth and doesn’t just make up more lies, also we finally get to meet mystery brother (who i assume is probably a source of a lot of pi’s self-worth issues)

very good episode, some quality characters development, i wish we had seen a bit more build up to the thing with the mom but i’m interested in how they’ll work that out (seeing as they seemed to have resolved it in the preview), looking forward to next week

hi jo !!! Pastels, Peaches, and Pain is one of those sambucky wips i have mostly fully fleshed out in my head because of one (1) extreme moment of clarity after a rogue ‘what if’ tangent thought but havent written anything of yet out of restraint / knowing i need to finish at least one of my current sambucky wips before i start it or none of them will get done

this was the rogue tangent thought: “what if Sam is haunted by Figaro’s ghost and has been since he was a kid?”. i’ve changed the ghost cat to not be Figaro but that’s the premise !

i refer to the fic as the cat fic ‘cause the whole plot is based around sam’s ghost cat companion insisting he adopts nat’s cat Liho after endgame and then Figaro later and then [insert redacted because plot spoilers but just know it relates to Alpine]. no im not projecting my feelings about cats idk what youre talking about 

here’s some note snippets just for you:

the cat, inexplicably, takes a liking to bucky, which is really annoying bc sam doesnt know how to explain to him that all the oddly soft gusts of wind are actually sam's dead cat insisting on getting pats

bucky getting shade thrown at him by said ghost cat during all of tfatws + them making up (and not out. yet)

starts when sam's a kid & follows him as he grows up w/ a ghost kitty as a companion only he can see & interact with + angst with an undertone of comedy + getting together

he whispers to ghost kitty, who simply mmrrs happily

for the among us first draft thing, what basically happened is i saw this tweet and this video and my brain latched onto these dynamics so hard i had to write about them.

The thing having Cyan pause and stare out at the asteroid field is how the colors stretch to family. When they and Black came aboard, they had thought every crewmember was an adult working on the planet-change project. That the patch of off-white with a black something-pattern-or-shape signified status. In a way, Cyan supposes it does, but just not the way they expected. They had expected it to show what rank an individual held within the hierarchy of the crew, from deckhand to division leader to captain, not to show that you're family of the crew and not actually part of the crew itself. 

There are innocents on this ship. Children. It was not something any of them had anticipated, and not something Cyan had been prepared to deal with. They and Black boarded this horrible place to eradicate a threat, believing each and single one of the humans were accomplishes and dedicated to the goal of destroying Cyan and Black's species, and their planet. But, now?

marvel meets warframe meets a bunch of tumblr posts... doesn’t have a wip title or seperate document for itself yet cause it’s been stuck in my ‘story ideas’ document since its creation. so ‘marvel meets warframe meets a bunch of tumblr posts’ is literally just me describing the vibe of an original world gjkerfkds

the world came to be for two reasons. firstly, i want to do make take on a superhero universe because the plot and complete lack of communication in both the dcu and mcu piss me the fuck off. secondly, needed a place to dump ocs with elaborate backstories or fantasy / sci-fi abilities that dont fit into any of my existing worlds

which sounds super competent but trust me, it isn’t. it didn’t gain any solidity at all until i decided to do a personal ‘how different can i make spn castiel look & still retain the same vibe?’ challenge. i have my own cas now

however, the reason i said ‘marvel meets...’ is because i’ve snagged a couple of different things from the mcu, most notably: enemies to reluctant coworkers to lovers, yes our best friend have the same name. no they’re not the same person, secret evil org is controlling the government, and the assassin that tried to kill you several times is now your best friend

warframe was added to the world because i got attached to my Volt build, gave them a name, and have some headcanons idk what to do with because i refuse to interact with that fandom. also because the friend i made through discussing warframe lore + plot dicked me over so it feels Bad to create for

the glue to this whole mess is that one “in every friend group there’s a mean bisexual, an even meaner lesbian, a she/they, a he/they, a himbo, an astrology bitch, a short king, and a token straight” tumblr post. my main group of superheroes ala the avengers consist of these people. the token straight is the only one i havent figured out who is yet

ever since i figured that out ive been throwing story / character ideas and weirdly specific aesthetics from popular tumblr posts into this world’s notes. here’s some examples:

So I Saw Avengers: Endgame

And HOLY SMOKES   ***SPOILERS AHEAD***

Knowing full well I had to work Friday afternoon after a night shift, I dedicated myself to make the third showing of the day to see the conclusion to the biggest cliffhanger since The Empire Strikes Back.

Oh, was it worth it. I loved it 3000.

 THE FIGHT SEQUENCE

 THE THEORY

I was amazed at how accurate my theory (here and here) turned out to be. Captain Marvel responded to a pager and zoomed her way from 1995 to 2018. Ant-Man and the Wasp's plot opened us to the quantum realm, which is what the Avengers would use to their advantage to stop the war before it started. I thought the Avengers would travel back to 2018 to warn their younger selves about the war, but the way this film out was beyond my wildest expectations. 

 THE HEARTACHE

It's hard for me to accept the inevitability of death, but the first Marvel Studios blockbuster hero, the one that truly started it all 11 years ago, did a selfless act for the greater good and sacrificed himself to defeat Thanos. It's the first time I've cried during a superhero film since Logan.

And to @revolutionaryredux​'s point, all the heroes at his funeral stood in the order in which their films were released in theatres.

 And Steve getting to age with Peggy and pass his legacy on 🥺🥺🥺🥺

 And the tinkering after the credits is sound from the first Iron Man film….

 TIME

Being that the Avengers couldn't alter the future (but Wolverine could in Days of Future Past), does that mean we really lost Loki and Vision if 2014 Thanos dies before 2018 happens? Does this give way to their shows on Disney+? 

Speaking of DOFP (more on it in a minute), I think the Ancient One and the Hulk reference it when Hulk goes back to 2012 to find the time stone that is not yet in the hands of Dr. Strange (his film was 2016). The Ancient One explained how altering time could lead to split realities (the black line and the gold line), which would explain how Wolverine could alter past and future events and the Avengers couldn't alter the future, no matter what they did in the past. Wolverine also sent his consciousness to his younger self instead of sending his body to meet up with his younger self because he could withstand the pain of being stretched apart in the space-time continuum.

*Avengers’ being unable to alter the future still doesn’t explain how Cap can be with Peggy but anyway*

 A NEW THEORY

I don't think Gamora and Black Widow are dead. Both were sacrificed for the Soul Stone, which means they could be trapped inside it. When Star-Lord and Thor team up, Star-Lord is still searching for Gamora, a perfect subplot for Guardians 3 if you ask me. Black Widow is still due for a movie, so she has to come back (unless it's set before her death, which would further bury me in a glass case of emotion). Still, I found it poignant that the two assassins, the two Avengers that didn't have super strength or speed or robotic armor, had to go through mental gymnastics on Vormir together.

 THE MENTAL INSTABILITY

I was thoroughly impressed with the detail to the problems surrounding the plot. I knew this film would mirror Marvel Entertainment/Twentieth Century FOX's Days of Future Past to an extent, but it really delves into what can be changed, what can't, and what we would want to change if we could, if only for a moment. It also showed the mental turmoil that weighed on the superheroes' minds. It's very easy to think that heroes are invincible because their vulnerability is hardly shown. However, we saw how losing the war severely pained Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor, Iron Man, and especially Nebula first-hand. Granted, much of the audience laughed through Thor’s moments, but his failure to go for Thanos’ head the first time damaged him. 

The biggest subtlety of all, though, bridges Marvel Studios with the X-Men side of Marvel Entertainment, and when I put it together, I was SHOOK.

 THE BIGGEST THING EVERYONE HAS MISSED ABOUT THIS FILM

The Avengers use the quantum realm in the year 2023, five years after the events of Infinity War. This is also the same year the X-Men face the Sentinels, leaving them with one solution: for Kitty Pryde to send Wolverine's consciousness back to his 1973 body to reverse the events of Trask Industries in Days of Future Past.

In other words, the Avengers and X-Men are traveling through time AT THE SAME TIME.

Hawkeye even fights mini-Sentinels at the destroyed Avengers headquarters once Thanos arrives!!

Stan Lee and friends bridged Marvel Studios and Marvel Entertainment, just as Disney bought the rights to 20th Century FOX!

 LOOKING AHEAD

It was a wonderful, lengthy way to put a bow on the first collection of Marvel Studios films. I'm eager to see: 

If Gamora and Black Widow are stuck in the Soul Stone, and if Star-Lord can find them with Thor in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 

If X-Men continues to pick up a character a decade before catching up to 2023 (example: Dark Phoenix comes out this summer and focuses on Jean Gray/Phoenix; takes place in 1992, the year Tony Stark's parents also died in a car crash)

here are my preferred endgames:

rachel: jesse/rachel, but in an entirely different way than it unfolded in the show??? also they’d get together pretty far into their twenties/maybe even early thirties vs. rachel being 21 and jesse being 23.

finn: i have an oc endgame for finn (had he lived) because i honestly don’t really see him working with anyone actually on the show. 

kurt: i do stick by my preference of adam/kurt (he needs to be someone more mature than him Honestly), but as time goes by i do find myself growing more and more fond of the adam/elliott/kurt ot3. i never quite got the appeal of any of kurt’s other ships (especially kurt/puck and kurt/karofsky) so that might be a factor there, admittedly.

mercedes: in the event that tike isn’t endgame, i do find myself pretty soft for mercedes/mike. they have such a great dynamic in s4 (that was dropped thereafter but that’s glee i Suppose) and it’s easy to see how it could grow into a romantic relationship between the two of them. they’d do friends to lovers so well. i’m endlessly fascinated by their potential. i have an oc endgame for her otherwise, because nobody else on this hellshow deserves mercedes jones.

tina: mike/tina was super undeveloped but also one of the healthiest relationships glee had so they’re automatically my endgame for them but as i delve more into the post-glee headcanons, idk. maybe not. if not mike, i’d probably end up putting her with an oc. maybe a warbler, but lbr, all but blaine/kurt/sebastian/hunter count as ocs. sooooooooo

artie: honestly? idk. i’m v soft for artie/kitty but i enjoy artie so little as a character that i find it hard to pair him with anyone. 

quinn: i ship quinn with literally everything under the sun. i don’t think i have a stable endgame for her, but i always end up coming back around to pairing her with warbler wes. (kids born into ohio’s high society and forcing themselves to live up to impossible standards until they just can’t anymore is my LIFEBLOOD.)

santana: dani/santana. i think santana does need an intellectual equal to be fully satisfied in a relationship and as much as she loves brittany, she just… doesn’t hit the mark. and that’s okay. seriously. dani and santana kind of feed into each other’s prejudices (fuck your biphobia ladies) so they need to do a lot of growing together, but i think they’d do it well.

brittany: i don’t have a solid endgame for brittany just because i struggle to understand her character, which is my bad. i think if anything i’d have her in a polyamorous relationship (usually of 4, sometimes 3, rarely more) with a group of ocs - usually a warbler’s thrown in there (jeff more often than not) but the others are completely from scratch.

puck: puck/rachel has always owned my heart, so i feel it necessary to give them a shoutout here. but honestly, lauren/puck is just… so good. 

mike: mandatory callouts for mike/tina and mercedes/mike. i think for mike, mike/tina makes a lot more sense - she pushes him to challenge his father which is Huge, but i struggle to see where he’d challenge her. he’d support her to the end, but stops short of telling her to be more. i think there’s less of him holding back in his relationship with mercedes (they have a dynamic built on mutual respect, where mike and tina started hooking up behind tina’s boyfriend’s back), so i think i’m more partial to them here.

matt: i felt weird not including him but honestly matt/screentime

marley: jake/marley/ryder. jake and marley date for-freaking-ever (fuck the cheating storyline), breaking up when the time comes for college - jake gets an insane scholarship to julliard while marley’s staying in ohio. who else is staying in ohio? oh gee, ryder! so marley and ryder spend a Lot of time together, eventually begin dating, except there’s always a weird cloud of Jake hanging above them. jake ends up dropping out of julliard and drops off the map for a while and eventually jake’s mom calls ryley begging them to try and help find her baby because they were His People and even though they haven’t spoken to jake in nearly three years, they go because of course they do. there’s a Lot more to this story, but i’m trying to keep this short so: they find jake in new york eventually, in with the entirely wrong crowd and end up staying in the city (in blaine and sam’s apartment which is too small for the two of them let alone all five) to try and help him recover/through his withdrawals (they do long-distance schooling because blaine mother hens the shit out of them and refuses to let them fuck up their hard work just because jake’s struggling) and a few years laterrrr they’re all together.

Jake is ultimate little brother. Kurt is little shit brother. Sam is cool brother. Finn is brother brother. Puck is the brother that lets you do whatever you want and covers up for you.

Finn needs more female friendships without it ending up in a ship tbh.

Jake is so awesome. He’s literally a saint, and in the background he’s like fistbumping people on a job well done like, “HEHEHEHEHEHE.”

I actually really dislike my characterization of Jake in All or Nothing, even though that universe isn’t too far from my initial concept of the rewrite (in fact, the basis of the rewrite is based on All or Nothing) but I wrote Jake’s character much better in the rewrite because he’s less bitter per say? I mean, in All or Nothing, everyone’s much more grizzlier and bitter in general, but Jake has probably the most drastic change between the two stories, ie how he behaves, how his relationship with Marley starts and ends, his mindsets.

Jarley fans please don’t attack me sob I really love Jarley too but I wanted to rewrite it so that Jake ends it without being an ass. I don’t see them as endgame, but they were so cute while they lasted and I love them but pls don’t kill me for the rewrite.

That being said, Jake has some interesting story arcs. I will say though, till the very end, he loves Marley very much as his first love. The story I want to tell with Jake is loyalty and acceptance and learning to love others not just for their bodies, as well as coming out from under someone’s shadow.

Finn’s arc is about learning how to be kind, being a true leader and finding out what lies in your future. He also pretty much learns what it’s like to have a real family, but I think that extends to everyone, cause not everyone had a fully functional family.

Burt and Carole adopt everybody. That’s just canon.

Finn is so adorable trying to figure out if he liked Rachel pre-Finchel. 🥺🥺

Okay now this is the controversial bit I guess. All the characters have their problematic moments. Even Marley, even Jake, even Finn. Yes, Finn will inadvertently out Santana in the S3 rewrite, but he’ll confront her in an empty hallway where they think they were alone. It’s still wrong, but he’ll apologize to her, just as how Santana will apologize to him about all her comments.

Yes, Jake will make some questionable decisions in place of the canon Jarley breakup instead. He’ll still sleep with Bree who’s actively bullying the New Directions at the time and he’ll feel lonely after he realizes Marley loves someone else. He’s human too, and if he can’t hate Marley or Parker, he’s bound to feel something else. But he’ll apologize, do some soul-searching and do the right thing.

Yes, Marley might say or do hurtful things to other characters out of insecurity, even though she doesn’t actually mean to hurt hurt or she doesn’t realize she’s hurting the other person (like the whole thing with Jake performing Chris Brown on the Guilty Pleasures episode or her standing Parker up on a friend date in lieu for another date with Jake) but she learns and realizes and apologizes for it.

Not gonna lie I kind of hated how Marley acted in the entire Dynamic Duets rewrite because she throws herself into picking either Ryder or Jake while Parker is just there,,, in the background,,, like bitch please woman I get you’re lost and hurt that Parker turned you down but at the same time you’re both not in the right place for a relationship pls. Parker’s too insecure you’re also too insecure and it’s not right- okay BUT the scene I wrote with Marley calling Parker her hero is too cute kzgbksak

Also a lot of characters were at their peak annoying at this point, like Kitty, Jake (Jake and Kitty lowkey bashing Parker makes me angry ngl, especially Jake, that’s YOUR BRO COME ON), Brody (Brody’s nice ngl but at the same time he probably has some sus friends and Rachel will hang out with them if Brody stays with them. Trust Brody, don’t trust his friends).

I have a lot of feelings about the Dynamic Duet rewrite, don’t mind me.
