Daylight feels warm against my carapace. The breeze as soft as how the floating clouds look, drifting across the sky. My lipless smile shines as I continue the progress of my Hive's garden. Warm and moist, the dirt shifts within my claws as I dig a resting place for the seedling. 'Sunflowers' they called them. Read about them in the archives father keeps. 'Tall and big' father says, just like me. "Crouton! Lunch is ready!" Father calls for me. "Clean up a little, so your not dragging dirt into the clan base. Alright?" "Crouton is coming Father! Crouton will clean up." chirping in delight. Today Father used the tomatoes from the garden to make soup, though I wonder what are these 'Cheese gills' he speaks of.

real talk: i’m preparing to run a vtm v20 chronicle for a group of friends, and i want to show off all the cool things the different clans have to offer at some point.
the only snag with that is the fact there is A Lot of racism. A Lot.
fellow storytellers, players, & general enthusiasts — how have y’all dealt w/ that in your chronicles and characters? especially wrt the banu haqim, ravnos, etc…

We'll Meet Again by @littledumplingwrites (art) (with more art by @punkascas)
When Initiate Obi-Wan Kenobi is assigned to AgriCorps, he goes to his Creche Master to ask why he hasn’t been assigned to a Service Corps better suited. As a result he’s sent to MediCorps to become a healer. Cue Obi-Wan becoming Ben Kenobi: a master healer and specialized surgeon who does philanthropic MediCorps work on the Outer Rim. It’s hard work, but good work and he enjoys what he does. But when the Clone Wars start, Ben is called away from his humanitarian work to patch up Clone Troopers and Jedi on the battlefield. And once he’s there, he meets a rising star in the Clone Army: one Captain Cody.
Or, Healer-Surgeon Ben Kenobi was called to the war front. And he wasn't too keen on going. What were the Jedi even thinking when they started a war?
That M*A*S*H Star Wars AU that I just couldn't get out of my head, so I wrote it. (However, you do not have to know or have seen MASH to understand this.)
Healer Ben Kenobi, Reporting for Duty by @littledumplingwrites (art) (with podfic by mengde)
Healer Ben Kenobi finishes his surgical work on one battlefield and finds out he has a new assignment: rendezvous with the 212th and work with the clone healers there. This makes Ben a little nervous, because his new boyfriend Major Cody is a part of the 212th and Ben hasn’t heard from him in weeks.
Can the two of them work through their relationship issues, even as the Separatist Droid Army closes in on their position? Can Cody learn to trust someone who isn’t a brother? And can Ben learn to put his partner’s care above his past hurts?
Can be read as a standalone. Also, you do NOT need to know anything about M.A.S.H. to read or enjoy this story.
Bonds of Beskar by @popjeckdoom (art) (with more art by Aliennotperson)
In a universe where the Mandalorian Empire never fell, but changed, Ad’be’alor Kote Vhett faces threats from all sides. His father, Mand’alor Jango Vhett has been cursed into a Majick sleep, and as Tor Vizsla and his supporters tear the Council of Clans apart, Kote is desperate to wake his father and reunite the Empire. In an effort to save his father, and his people, Kote Vhett offers “anything” to the person who can cure his Father’s curse.
Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi may be the person for the job; only one issue--the Jedi have been in hiding for a thousand years, still hunted by Sith and Mandalorians alike. Can he keep his true identity secret long enough to help the Mand'alor... or will events conspire to reveal him before his mission is complete?
Forever; Without Stagnation by @noir-renard (art)
Din and Luke meet on Tatooine. Din and Luke fall in love. Din and Luke get married—
And then the plot catches up.
The Galaxy needs you, says The Force, and Luke believes it.
Din will understand, Luke thinks. It won’t take that long. What is a few years compared to the vow of 'forever'?
Only Blindly Could I Read You by @lillytalons (art) (with more art by @vanisketches
Rex's goal was to get into the organization, get the information, and take it down. Of course, no one had ever successfully infiltrated this empire, and most people had died attempting it, so it was easier said than done. But, the fact that a government agency had also sent in an agent, their best agent, was either a very good or very bad thing. Rex just happened to recognize them, and for some reason, Ben had decided that working together was the best option. What could go wrong?
It's a Sad Song (But We Sing it Anyway) by @ouzoa11-writes (art) (with more art by @impalafortrenchcoats)
Obi-Wan and Cody Kenobi have raised Luke for years and are at the center of the Rebellion when a new threat looms the horizon in the form of a new weapon. The tides seem to turn in their favor, even as they face new challenges along the way.
Or: Obi-Wan and Cody are soulmates who just want to see everyone survive. Their lives from Luke and Leia's nineteenth birthday to a confrontation with Vader alone.
Standalone though it is part of the "We Raise Our Cups To Them" universe
An Epiphany of Poppies Upon the Battlefield by @questing-wulfstan (art)
April 1940, On a French battlefield, Hob Gadling doubts his will to persevere in being alive for the second time of his existence. He swallows morphine in the hope to soothe his horror-scarified mind, and summons a mirage of the stranger who occupied his thoughts as the patron of his immortality. In a Japanese psychiatric ward, Delirium of the Endless is alerted by Dream's irruption in her realm, who she found missing when she sought his company on her quest for the Prodigal. Disappointment overcomes her as she finds it was but an image of her brother conjured by a mortal, and so it does Hob when her eruption dismisses the vision. Delirium will not resign herself to her exponential loss of brothers however, neither will Hob Gadling withhold his aid from any entity in distress, whether the stranger or his younger sister ; they just might hold the might to liberate Morpheus between their four hands ...
The Other Kingdom by @banhus (art)
In 1916, Roderick Burgess successfully summons Death, and Hob Gadling wakes up in the trenches alongside three dead soldiers.

What's in a Name
Clones take great pride in their names. It's only natural that Cody would want to know about his General's.
Or Cody and Obi-Wan talk about the meaning and origins of their names. AO3
There were many things that came to light in the cool darkness of Obi-Wan’s quarters aboard the Negotiator. Shared in secret - although most of the vode seemed to know the true nature of his relationship with Cody - the dimly lit, small space of his room seemed to function as a kind of confessional, a sacred space where he and his beloved commander could whisper about their closely-guarded thoughts, feelings, worries, and hopes.
“Cody,” Obi-Wan began, gently nuzzling deeper into his commander’s neck, languid and at ease as he returned to Cody’s arms, body cooling from their previous activities. “Why did you choose your name?”
Cody kissed his forehead and pulled the sheets up around their waists, settling Obi-Wan onto his chest and slowly teasing his fingertips across the constellations of freckles on his jetti’s bare back. “It means glory in Mando’a.”
Obi-Wan blinked a moment. ‘Cody’ wasn’t a Mandalorian word and ‘glory’ was…
Oh.
“ Kote ,” Obi-Wan murmured.
Cody hummed and pulled him tighter.
“Have I…” Obi-Wan pushed up onto his elbow, “have I been saying it wrong this whole time?”
Cody grinned, burying his face into Obi-Wan’s neck. “That dorn and trill sound is close in the vode accent.” He kissed at his jaw. “And maybe even closer in yours.”
Obi-Wan frowned. “Why didn’t you ever correct me? I haven’t even spelled it correct-”
“Obi-Wan,” Cody’s eyes were molten gold in the cast light from the meditation candle Obi-Wan had left lit. “It’s… I… the once-removal is… protective.”
“What do you mean?”
Cody smiled sadly, eyes suddenly heavy. “Well Mandalore isn’t exactly on best terms with the Republic. And Clones…”
Obi-Wan dropped his head. Yes, the attitude towards Clones was atrocious at worst, indifferent at best. “A high-ranking Clone with a Mandalorian name wouldn’t be a good look for the GAR,” he concluded.
Cody nodded.
Obi-Wan settled back down into his arms, his fingers tracing over a blaster bolt scar near Cody’s collarbone. “Would you prefer I call you Cody or Kote ?”
“Cody.” But after a breath, after his hand rested solidly on the small of Obi-Wan’s back he added, “Maybe Kote when we’re here. Alone.”
Obi-Wan smiled and kissed Cody’s shoulder, letting his eyes droop shut at the feeling of warmth that spread through him while encircled in Cody’s arms.
“What about you?” Cody asked after a moment.
“Hmm?”
“What does your name mean?”
“Oh.” Obi-Wan tried not to stiffen too much at the question. He didn’t want Cody to know he’d hit a bit of a sore spot. But it was for naught as Cody tilted his chin up with a gentle finger.
“I’m sorry, cyare . I didn’t mean-”
“No, it’s quite alright.” He took a deep breath and released his ancient, engrained trepidation into the Force. “I was surrendered to the Jedi Temple at six months old. A note was pinned to my swaddlings that read Obi-Wan Kenobi . The Order mistook it as my name; Stewjon is not a Core World and very few travel to and from it making the language rather unknown. But I researched it one day many years later. Obi means no or not or none. Wan is to call. So, 'not called.'” He sighed, letting his fingers dance over Cody’s chest. “In other words, no name.”
Cody’s voice was barely above a whisper. “And Kenobi ?”
“ Ken is a suffix for family, a clan.”
“Clan none?”
Obi-Wan put on a tired and broken smile. “No name, No people.” Abandoned, his mind supplied, pulling at old feelings of unwantedness.
“A Foundling,” Cody breathed.
“What?”
“In Mandalorian culture you’d have been a Foundling.”
And oh that sounded so much nicer than abandoned and unwanted and all the other harsh words that circled through his mind at the thought of his name’s origin. He huffed a little laugh, “Perhaps that’s why I was drawn to the mission of protecting Satine on Mandalore.” He sighed and tightened his grip around Cody’s waist. “That or choosing a new name to go undercover.”
“What made you pick ‘Ben’?”
Obi-Wan chuckled quietly. “Well now, we’ve come full circle in this conversation.”
Cody raised a brow.
“‘Ben’ was a phonetic cousin to Byn B-Y-N, Stewjoni for a watchtower or sentinel.”
Cody grinned and landed a kiss to Obi-Wan’s cheek. “That’s quite fitting.” Another kiss. “Would you want me to call you Byn ?”
“Maybe when we’re here. Alone,” he echoed back Cody’s words from earlier. “But if it’s all the same to you, darling,” he began, scooting up closer and capturing Cody’s lips into a kiss, “I much prefer cyare .”

(Not written yet, just writing down an idea)
Jangobi AU idea featuring:
Mand'alore Jaster Mereel lives until 32-33BBY
Enemies to lovers Jangobi
Mandalorian & Jedi Obi-Wan
Mandalorian & Force sensitive Cal Kestis
Mandalorian & Jedi Padawan Anakin Skywalker
Mandalorian Omega
Dualsex Stewjoni Obi-Wan & Mpreg
Triplets Boba Fett & Omega & Cal Kestis
Space cowboys
A year before the events of The Phantom menace, 24-year-old padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi and his master Qui-Gon Jinn are sent to Mandalore to broker peace among Mandalorian factions on the brink of war.
The negotiations are difficult and tensions are rising. Not just between the factions themselves, but also between the young negotiator, and the son of the current mand'alore. 33-year-old Jango Fett.
As negotiations start to fail, and several assassination attempts occur, it becomes ever so clear that there is no simple resolve for Mandalore and civil war is imminent.
The tensions between Jango and Obi-Wan are rising as well, first hating each other at opposite sides, but slowly learning to work together and seeing one another for who they really are.
Things come to an end when Jango declares his love for Obi-Wan. (nine months after meeting him, 3 months before the phantom menace) The two consummate their love. Meanwhile, war breaks out and Jaster Mereel is killed by Clan Vizsla.
Eventually, the new Mandalorians win the war, with Satine Kryze as the new ruler of Mandalore.
Jango Fett and his clan, what's left of it, is displaced to the planet Koboh. For no other reason than I wanna write Mandalorian bounty hunters that are also space cowboys.
Events of the phantom menace occur, Qui-Gon Jinn is killed on Naboo, but in a twist of fate, the council decides not to train Anakin.
Feeling like he has no other choice, Obi-Wan leaves the Jedi council to train Anakin himself and uphold his promise to Qui-Gon.
Twist number 2, turns out Obi-Wan is pregnant with triplets.
Obi-Wan leaves Coruscant with nine-year-old Anakin.
And along his journey in training Anakin, frees Schmi Skywalker from slavery. Meets a group of young Mandalorian foundlings that used to be from Clan Mereel but were displaced during the clan's exile ranging from 17 years of age (Cody/Kote), 16 years old (Rex), 15 years old Hunter, 14-year-olds Crosshair & Tech (twins) and Wrecker, 12 years old Echo & Fives (twins).
Together with only Schmi to control and guide a ragtag team of teenagers, A pregnant Obi-Wan has to find his way in a tumultuous galaxy until he inadvertently makes his way to Koboh and reunites with Jango.
And that's what I have so far.
I also don't mind if people run with the idea for art or fanfiction, but I would appreciate a link, if you do. And an inspired by would make my day.

tell us moooore about the mudhorn babies!!!
Yes! Yesyesyesyes, ask me more about the babies!💞
The babies are a part of my Dad!Mand'alor!Din x Jedi!Reader series called Expanding Clan Mudhorn
Tumblr media
Grogu no longer hangs in Din's bag/carrier, he's now riding with Mirshka in her little backpack.
Grogu is now enrolled in a space kindergarten and the fridge is full of the drawings he brings home from school.
He's also been terrorizing the frog population in the pond behind their home.
Grogu's first word is buir and Din isn't shy to admit that he BAWLED.
The kids can see the old Mand’alor's force ghosts. Aranar is Jaster Mereel's favorite, Mirshka is Tarre Vizsla's.
Aranar once stole the darksaber and he messed up the ignition, cutting half of his hair. He wears helmets everywhere for two weeks.
Just like Din, Aranar is not painting his armor.
Mirshka wants a vod'ika for her life day present (Din is encouraging her).
She wants her vod'ika to be called tra'cyuur.
"No, Din, I don't care if she sulks, we're not naming our baby 'blaster'."
You and Din finally settled on Kote, and Kote is perfect. Kote is a sweet baby who can never do wrong.
Aranar is three years older than Mirshka. Mirshka is two years older than Kote.
The Djarin genes are way too strong and the babies looks exactly like their buir.
Aranar always wins the sword-fight sparring sessions.
Mirshka is very strong in the living force, she even befriended the Mythosaur under the Living Waters of Mandalore.
Kote is the best shooter out of the four kids. Aranar has known no peace since his brother started shooting nerf-gun around the house.
Boba teaches Aranar to swear. Aranar then teaches Mirshka. Rid'ika threatens everyone that she will go dark if Kote started to swear too.
Din is Mirshka's favorite person in the whole galaxy.
Rid'ika is Aranar's.
Kote and Grogu baby talks to each other. No one knows what they're talking about, yet the two babies are giggling like a couple of maniacs.
Fenn'buir would steal the kids away and return them all muddy and smelly, much to your chagrin. At least they always sleep soundly after roughhousing with their ba'buir (grandfather).
One time, Din finally said "fuck this" and gave the darksaber to an eight years old Aranar. The boy led the court for one day (with your guidance, of course) while Din played hooky and took the rest of the kids flying all over Mandalore.
Aranar gave the council a fourty five minutes nap break. With just one day of ruling, Aranar is now known as Mand’alor the Kriffing Best.
Din was then banished to the couch for two days.
Thank you for this anon, this is the most fun I've had since writing this series. I hope you love the kids! 💞
Questions and requests are always open!

Fluffy February Day 15: Craft
SWTOR
Pairing: Akaavi Spar/Mako
Time: Sometime during the Carbonite Years
~~
Akaavi had to move fast to hide it.  She had been so focused on counting and minding the sensations under her fingertips that she had not heard Mako approach.
….she wasn’t sure why she hid this talent.  She had never done so on Virtue’s Thief, and it was there that she should have been most cagey and conscientious of her image as a warrior.  As a Mandalorian.  She didn’t want to be lumped in with the rest of those miscreants.
Yet, they had become clan by another name, their captain demanding the loyalty of someone far superior than her…and deserving every ounce of it.
The Captain was far away now.  The pain had not left with her kote kyr'am.  Yes, Akaavi had sullied that tradition with her … but Eva had been defeated, at last, by the odds she had bested for years.  Her life had changed the galaxy.  Her death had been in the hopes of saving it.
If that did not deserve a ceremony of honor, then Akaavi did not understand honor or being a Mandalorian…
But was she really that anyway?  After all the years away?  After the disillusionment, after –
“Akaavi?” Mako called out to her.
She was on her feet.  “Cyar’ika.”
Yes, the universe was strange.  The liaison on Yavin wasn’t the end after all.
It was a job.  Mako couldn’t finish it.  Akaavi did.
The galaxy had ended as they knew it.  So what the hell, make the same mistake twice.
But …
They settled into what a Mando’ade might describe as ‘domesticity.’  It was a different sort from most other sentients playing house, certainly.
... and Akaavi was not yet done with her craft yet.  It had to remain a secret, for now.
~~
Mako sat so very still, once she realized what it was.  Akaavi had left it, with a hasty note.  Probably because she didn’t do feelings as well as she wanted to; that had been conveyed one quiet night.  Mandalorians – or at least Akaavi Spar – felt everything, intensely.  She expressed anger and passion openly, but softer things were smothered out or hidden away.
Akaavi had knit her a sweater.  In Mako’s own size.  Not a hand-me down.  Not a reject
Mako had known Akaavi knit for her old crew.  Even that Mon Cal, Guss, got that from her – in fact, he got the most of her knitting because he needed the most.  Mandalorians took care of their clan, even the ones they didn’t like.  The clan is strong, not always the individuals in it.
Akaavi was always strong for Mako, in a way that Gronn hadn’t been.  Even Braden after a certain point … wasn’t.
Akaavi hadn’t knit since she left Eva’s crew.
She’d just crafted Mako her very own sweater.
…this was serious, wasn’t it.
Mako ran her fingers over the bumps and smooth parts of it.  The yarn selected wasn’t itchy; Mako guessed that had been gleaned from Akaavi’s harsh demand for ‘any and all allergies’ when they first set up both the bounty hunting business … and later the domestic situation.
(She’d mentioned she’d broken out in a rash after wrestling a ‘sheep-like’ farm animal during one of Gronn’s dumber schemes on Alderaan.)
Mako gripped the sweater as she considered whether she was ready or would she ever be ready for a long attachment to Akaavi Spar.  She was nothing like Torian or Gronn or Braden (who wasn’t even a Mando at all).
And yet, this association seemed more… equal.  Grown-up.
Akaavi was much older than she was; she knew who she was and had been for years.  Mako felt as if a bubble had been popped by Gronn’s death; any vestiges of the old life were now gone, especially after the old crew had broken up.  Torian had to heed the call of Mandalore…and they’d long broken up at that point.
…and yeah, Akaavi had been a symptom of that, on Yavin.  Not the most auspicious or ‘good’ beginning.
Mako always tried to be a good person.  Maybe because the other clones like her had turned out so bad – anything good had gone into her test tube or something.  However that worked.
Life with Akaavi had been good so far.  The partnership was good – nobody was a leader or a follower or someone learning the ropes.  They knew the business.  They knew the dance.  There weren’t any confused feelings.
Akaavi was strong, but Mako had the business to handle; Akaavi was not one for paperwork or permits.  Different strengths, complementary strengths, mutual respect….
Mako put on her new sweater, to make sure Akaavi saw her in it when she came home from whatever errand she’d set herself upon.

Hi! This is an interpretation of an armor described in an order to an armorer, made by a retainer of the Takeda Clan, Anayama Nobutada, during the Sengoku period.  This armor dates 1571, and is a dō maru constructed in the Mogami dō style.
Ver.1: It has a Zunari Kabuto, a kote with kikko in the shoulders, and, hence the order of the armor don't mention any, has no sode. The haidate are also absent in the order, but I decided to make them here.
Ver.2: It has a Koboshi Kabuto, and a pair of bishamon kote, with integrated sode. Again, the haidate are speculative.
This armor is representative of the middle to late stage of plate armor development in Japanese military history, which, contrary to popular belief, has absolutely nothing to do with contact with the Europeans.  This illustration was made with the help of Gunsen History (twitter.com/gunsen_history), on Twitter. And here is a translation of the armor order made by him: twitter.com/gunsen_history/sta…

Cienie’s take on Mandalorian Culture: Kad Ha’rangir and mandalorian traditional weapons, p.3
part 1 --- part 2
In contrast to previous sources that with no doubt tried synthesizing Legends with The Clone Wars lore, the Collapse of the Republic Roleplaying Sourcebook (2019) seems to be written first and foremost with New Canon in mind, at least in regard to Mandalorian culture. While understandably a main focus was put on the conflict between New Mandalorians (pacifists) and Death Watch (traditionalists) just before and during Clone Wars, the history of Mandalorians was presented there in a general, not really detailed way - the Mandalorians were warriors for generations and that is basically the summary.
The two vital data about Mandalorian weapons are:
the importance of Darksaber (a sword not exactly needed to lead Mandalorians, but an important heirloom of Vizsla clan and cultural item nonetheless)
the traditional swords made out of Mandalorian iron are known as beskads and their shape was based on ancient Taung design.
Tumblr media
The second point is especially interesting because the visible lack of connection to “ancient time” lore makes the mention of Taung a surprising addition. As I do not have any insight into legal restrictions or demands put on authors, I can only speculate if the authors of this Rulebook couldn’t refer openly to Legends sources which is why this small callback is sneaked into the text without a proper context? Whatever the truth is, Bounty Hunter Code already had similar information, and the same as with the older source, I do not think Collapse of the Republic contradicts what original The Sith War comics presented.
Logically thinking, the metallurgist knowledge needed to be passed down from Taungs to humans and other assimilated Aliens before the original Mandalorians died out. The existence of Mandalorian traditional sword design however is not exactly the same as direct proof the said swords had any real religious importance in their culture. Even more, the lack of proper context who Taungs actually were for (human) Mandalorians raises a question, did Sourcebook mean ancient Taung as the pre-Mandalorian (Roon) culture or indication for original Mandalorian era? Because there is possibility that modern warriors based their beskads on archaeological findings from burial sites on Roon or alternatively, Taung!Mandalorians forged swords in the manner their own forefathers did before Mandalore was colonized. And so we come back to burial sites mentioned in Author’s Cut and a religious/cultural aspect of swords that may or may not survive to the Sith and Mandalorians Wars era. Similarly, we can’t cross out the possibility that Taung metallurgist created swords either for export[5], as gifts and/or sacred items or as equipment for their (non-Taung) vassals before those were acknowledged as equal to warriors and maybe even for Neo-Crusaders who in great numbers came from Republic (thus may be more familiar with sword fighting than more typical Mandalorian axes).
The same as Death Watch Manifesto, "Collapse of the Republic" puts a great importance on the modern conflict over mandalorian “national” identity; however in contrast to the earlier source, the provided knowledge is pretty much separated from warriors’ ancient (alien) origin and it does not even clarify which Taung design - of Roon or Mandalorian culture - it refers and this detail makes a great difference.
Another source worth to examine is one of Mandalorian songs - “Vode An” (meaning: Brothers All), the best known from Republic Commando Game Soundtrack. Years ago, Lucasart.com published the ancient Mandalorian text and English translation of chants used in the game - for those interested, an archived version is still available.
Tumblr media
Part of this song, although not specified by name, was also included in Republic Commando: Hard Contact as a little in-universe snippet added to chapter 7:
Bal kote, darasuum kote, Jorso ‘ran kando a tome. Sa kyr 'am Nau tracyn kad, Vode an. (And glory, eternal glory, We shall bear its weight together. Forged like the saber in the fires of death, Brothers all.) ” — Traditional Mandalorian war chant
Republic Commando: Triple Zero’s glossary calls the same song as “ancient Mandalorian war chant”.
Both Republic Commando game’s tie-in sources and book series note the old origin of the song and its traditional aspect. On the first glance, it is easy to assume this war chant could be created by Taung!Mandalorians and thus be a proof of swords' importance or presence in the pre-human culture era, especially if used as poetic metaphor. However we need to take two things into account:
First, as I mentioned before, with a culture that has existed for over 7,000 years the term “traditional” may easily refer to various stages of Mandalorian history. If we look closely at the all presented songs, Vode An share a lot similarities - if not the same lines - with other pieces, like:
Bal kote, darasuum kote (And Glory, Eternal Glory) with the first line of “Kote Darasuum” (the difference is addition of “and” in Vode An)
Motir ca’tra nau tracinya // Gra’tua cuun hett su dralshy’a // Aruetyc runi solus cet o’r. (Those who stand before us light the night sky in flame // Our vengeance burns brighter still // Every last traitorous soul shall knee) share the same lyrics with
🔶"Rage of the Shadow Warriors" (later officially named Dha Werda Verda):
Duum motir ca’tra nau tracinya // Gra’tua cuun hett su dralshy’a (Let all those who stand before us light the night sky in flame // Our vengeance burns brighter still.)
🔶 "Gra’tua Cuun":
Motir ca’tra nau tracinya // Gra’tua cuun hett su dralshy’a // Aruetyc runi solus cet o’r prudii an. (Those who stand before us light the night sky in flame // Our vengeance burns brighter still // Every last traitorous soul shall kneel in our shadow.)
From the perspective of making music for a Republic Commando Game - and to my understanding, the lyrics were first created by Jesse Harlin and later official mandalorian language came to life thanks to Karen Traviss and her book series - it makes sense that all songs have the same lyric “core”. However, from the perspective of in-universe culture, the similarity either implies a very limited creativity (artistic needs) of Mandalorians or those songs drew inspiration from the same source but themselves may not be created in the same era. Alternatively, one of them is the original version that inspired the later variants who naturally differ from each other due to isolation and cultural (clan) differences, as Mandalorians lived in various enclaves across the galaxy and clans did not always reside in close proximity to each other. Another possibility is that some of the presented chants were adopted by Mandalorian groups as their specific symbols, similarly as happened with clone troopers using Vode An as their army’s anthem and Kote Darasuum as their motto[6].
Frankly, from the all named songs, only for Rage of the Shadow Warriors - in later sources known also as Dha Werda Verda - we have premises to assign it to a specific era. Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut, Part 2 - Ancient Coruscant  places its origin to regime of Mandalorian the Ultimate and its role as a plea of dying out Taung species to be remembered by new, non-Taung Mandalorians:
Hu Jibwe, scholar of military history at the Salmagodro Grand Academy, notes that there is another song popularly known as “Dha Werda Verda” -- the Mando’a war chant known as “Rage of the Shadow Warriors.” During the Clone Wars, some Mandalorian trainers taught this chant to their clones, and it became a hallmark of those units. It’s rarely performed today, so if you have a chance to see it, take advantage: The chant and ritual dance are mesmerizing, particularly if the dancers follow Mandalorian tradition and drum out the rhythm on the chest or back of those next to them: The ash of the Taung beats strong within the Mandalorians' heart. We are the rage of the Warriors of the Shadow, The first noble sons of Mandalore. Let all those who stand before us light the night sky in flame. Our vengeance burns brighter still. The gauntlet of Mandalore strikes without mercy. We are the rage of the Warriors of the Shadow, The first noble sons of Mandalore. Let all those who stand before us light the night sky in flame. Our vengeance burns brighter still. But as Hu notes, “Rage” is far more recent than Dha Werda Verda. The best-preserved record of the Taung epic poem, written in Notron Cant and housed in the Baobab Archives on distant Manda, contains none of the verses of “Rage.” “It’s my belief that ‘Rage of the Shadow Warriors’ dates from the reign of Mandalore the Ultimate, when the Taungs knew they were being eclipsed,” Hu explains. “I’ve always thought it a poignant work -- a plea that the Taungs not be forgotten by the newborn culture they knew would outlive them.”
Mind you, this is just (in-universe) researcher’s opinion and the man may be wrong about the song's true purpose as this is only his academic assumption. However the mention of differences between the epic poem and the chant is a strong indication that the song was created much later[7]. Interestingly, Rage of the Shadow Warriors, if truly composed by Taungs in the period of (pre?) Mandalorian Wars, does not use a metaphor of “forged like the saber” while at the same time is the longest and most complex piece. Looking at the similar lyrics between Rage of the Shadow Warriors, Gra’tua Cuun and Vode An, one may wonder if the “saber” part wasn’t added in human!Mandalorians era where such a type of edged weapon became much more popular.
Another thing worth considering is the periodization of Mandalorian culture. More precisely what in-universe researchers and Mandalorian people themselves describe as ancient times? This is a very important question as sources often use “ancient” and “traditional” interchangeably yet those two terms are not the same and may indicate different meanings (the word ancient itself is more chronology based, the traditional - culturally). Secondly, our idea of an “ancient” and “modern” era in a technologically advanced galaxy far far away may be misleading because really, at which point antiquity officially ends? The best example for this problem is Darksaber itself.
The Armorer and Fenn Rau claimed Tarre Vizsla created this one of kind lightsaber around one thousand years ago which is of course impressive amount of time, but also a relative small part of overall long Mandalorian history (and even longer culture if we take into account the whole record of Taung species). And yet starwars.com’s databank still calls this item “An ancient lightsaber that serves as a powerful symbol of leadership to the Mandalorians”.
Tumblr media
In Legends, one thousand years before the events of the Original Trilogy, the Republic and Jedi Order went through a great reconstruction known as the Ruusan Reformation that started the Republic Golden Age. Maybe the New Canon too uses similar periodization or its antiquity ended at a different, much later time?
Even if we narrow down the mandalorian antiquity from The Sith & Mandalorians Wars era to creating Darksaber, it is still three thousand years - a great period of time to which the term “ancient” will refer to. Which of course does not help to examine source material, especially related to traditional songs and items passed down from one generation to another for centuries.
So, how important were swords in Mandalorian culture and how does this weapon relate to Kad Ha’rangir?
Next part: Final conclusions and potential explanations of the problem.
SIDENOTES:
[5] In Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith #2 (1994) - a year before the TotJ comic series even introduced us to Taung!Mandalorians - for the first time Mandalorian iron is presented as a material that can withstand even a lightsaber cut.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Master Jedi Arca Jeth used Mandalorian iron to secure a Sith tomb of Freedon Nadd, build in 3998 BBY on Dxun, Onderon’s dangerous moon (Uprising of Freedon Nadd #2) . The duel of Ulic Qel-Droma and Mandalore the Indomitable happened in 3996 BBY (The Sith War #1) and Mandalorians up to this point weren’t well known force within Republic border - they did conquered many worlds and their attention at some point was focused on Teta Empress and similar strong regions of this galaxy, yet for example Exar Kun - who in general was knowledge seeker - had literally no idea what the tomb was made of to whistand lightsaber which suggest Mandalorian Iron wasn’t worldwide known yet. This of course raise a question then how Master Jedi Arca Jeth even get his hands on such precious material - something rather hard to get by different means than from Mandalorians themselves, as:
A) beskar is found only in Mandalorian system
B) without a proper metallurgist knowledge beskar won’t be indurable
C) sources like Bounty Hunter Code states betraying the secrets of beskar and mandalorian metallurgist technique is punished by death and of course, this could be more modern nuance (especially when facing extermination of warrior culture) but definitely beskar had a special place in Mandalorian culture.
Sadly, the issue of Master Arca using Mandalorian iron is, as far as I know, unresolved.
[6] The Guide to Great Army of Republic (Insider 84) states:
Tumblr media
[7] The use of the word “Mandalore” also supports the theory that the song Rage of the Shadow Warriors is a much later creation than epic poem. The version known and used by clones (as presented in Republic Commando game) has changed the original line to “Coruscanta kandosii adu.”, as reference to the capital of the Republic. This raises question though, if “forged like the saber” could be also changed from original into something more familiar and Republic/Jedi alike?

Mandalorian Culture Master post part 6
Tumblr media
death funerals and remembering lost family and spouses
A Mandalorians passing is honoured and celebrated whenever that is any member of the family or a spouse or a manda’lor. It is a night of remembrance for their fallen brothers and sisters' songs are sung tales are told sadness is there, but their memory is always held forever and into the next life.
From normal death feasts and remembrance, there is a grander one known as the kote kyr’am or glory death did only the highest honour of death traditionally for warriors who have fallen from jedi and impossible odds.
To ensure a warrior’s proper passing the warrior will be placed on an elevated pyre and then burned warriors will shout into the sky with war cries for their fallen brother or sister.
The celebration after tells feats of the warrior’s life while drinking, feasting, and brawling in honour of the dead no outsider has ever gotten this honour. Only one outsider who has received this honour was a Sith warrior who singly handily saved a Mandalorian clan on Dantooine from a battalion of Jedi.
Final notes
The Mandalorian culture was made possible by Karen Travis and the other writers of the expanded universe it was amazing pre-Disney it is a shame they cannot understand such a diverse warrior culture existed that is bound to protect their families' clans and children they fight to better themselves and make a mark on the galaxy for centuries to come.

What is the stupidest thing that Tarre did in any of your AU's?
the only real AU i have with Tarre is the "revan trained tarre" au (other than a potential ghostly appearance re: something about terraforming mandalore) but lets face it a mandalorian jedi padawan had to get up to some NONSENSE
he did fastball special his master into a group of angry sith once, that was fun (they do the fastball special with Regularity but that was a memorable one LMAO)
also upon his first visit to Coruscant (age 17 or so), in the five minutes between his master going to find snacks and coming back, he wormed his way into one of the Chancellor's meetings and basically told them to fuck off without realizing who he was talking to. it all worked out in the end but Revan lords it over Tarre constantly.
("You told the Chancellor of the Republic, 'Kote lo'shebs'ul narit!' Force, I wish I had done that! I wish I had it on Video!!!! I want to shove it in the Council's face!" "master please that was thirty years ago" "yeah but you've said that to your clan chieftains lately too haven't you!!")

The falling star shines bright (part 2
Next several days were spent discussing everything. Kata was present on all official and non meetings. Alphas were looking at her like masters and knights back at the temple: like she was a child that tried to look adult. Though they taught her some useful things already. And gave her more extended map of the facility with vent shafts and service corridors. Alpha-02, Spar if she was right, also started training her in new for her combat stiles. She liked them, though she might prefer more equal relationships. She was not one of the cadets they trained.
The second thing Kata got to know about the troopers was a bit shocking. They were mandalorians. All their culture was based on mandalorian's creed. They were close to haat'mando'ade, true mandalorians. They were just like she was. As soon it was understood she was accepted to what they called "house and clan Solus". They explained that it can be understood as clan of one face or clan united as one. They were very loyal. Loyal not only to the republic but to their brothers. Family was important for them. They can't disobbey the orders, but they've done everything they can to protect their vode.
"You are the bridge between them and jedi," Shaak Ti watched her as she ran again throu movements Spar had shown her, "And they now want to work with shadows as they saw 'baby shadow breaking every law of logic with her tacticks'. That's a quout."
"Jaieh! Why are you using it?! I'm not ad'ika be jetii prudii!" She was laughing though. Alphas were like leaders of the families. For example Seventeen was the buir for a squad of commanders that called themselves Shebse. And after she got to know what have they done... Well, the name suited. Also she was pleased that they became the commanders with some council members. Kote (lovely name, she wanted to meet the man) was jaieh Kenobi's second in command, Ponds - jaieh Windu's, Bly - jehxah Secura's, Wolffe - jaieh Koon's and Fox was in command of Coruscant guard. Well, they were the best. Also she got to know that commanders from this squad ADOPTED a cadet two years younger, trained him and now he was a captain under Kote, leading one of the companies.
That lead her to new discovery: clones had their own social structure. They had families, whole lineages with three generations as maximum for now. They were relying on this in non-combat situations to navigate in communications. They were protecting their ade, training them, teaching them their traditions. That was a culture. That was a part of mandalorian culture. She was pleased that she was allowed to be one of them, to be their friend.
It took her jaieh several days to sort out all the flimshiwork but since two days ago they had been observing training of different classes and squads. And together with Alphas they set that Kata would try to work with different special ops squads to understand what is suitable for them all. She has already tried one team under commander Blackout. Though they decided it would be not the best way to pair them, both learned something. So today Sull, the other Alpha, took her to watch one special group.
"So what is so... special about them?" They stood on the balcony above traininng salle, though not in control room.
"They have what kaminiise call 'desirable mutations'. Boys had something wrong in their growing tubes that made them vulnerable at first. But the head scientist used them in experimental programm so they are still alive. But..." Sull watched as the room was set for the simulation.
"But?"
"They are treated like osik. By other cadets. By trainers outside my class. By scientists. They are fighters, they are strong. But they won't survive here long enough to get away."
"That bad?" she touched his hand.
"Even worse. We have one chance though."
"My team. I... I can try to work with them. If we do good enough I can say that 'it's the will of the Force' or something like that and just get away. Does jaieh Ti know?"
"It's her plan."
"Osik. Why not to tell me before? Arrhhh."
They waited for some time as the droids were placed in the room bellow. Something took her attention. The droids were equiped with weapons more powerful than standart trainig ones. She told that to Sull.
"They always go like this. I don't really know who is controling sim today, but it's not that bad. Sometimes they go with live weapons."
"What the kriff?"
"Language."
"Not your cadet to tell me how to speak." She tightened her grip on lightsabers on her belt. "I want to see what they can. If they can complete this I will run one with them. This demagolke will regred deeply if they would intentionaly harm children."
"Revenge?"
"Revenge is not the jedi way, but I would say justice. I would bring that amount of suffering they deserve right back and check that they can't hurt anyone again."
"Mando'jetii. A su ad'ika. Jeti'ika."
"Kriff you."
"No thanks." Sull sighed and put a hand on her shoulder, "calm down. You will need to understand that our world is war. We have nothing more. It's cruel and we train them to go throu to help them stay alive."
"I may be young, but not naive, Sull. I have seen the galaxy. I have gone to it's darker side once. And if needed would do it again. But I still feel bad when children are suffering. In any way."
He could only sigh.
The first sight of the special squad made her a bit nervous. They were different. One was just big. Even bigger then Alphas may be. The other one was tall but thin. Really thin. Two others were smaller, like normal units, but may be even slimmer. All in all she could see what might be a problem.
"Who are they?" her voice sounded a bit harsh. The sim already started so she just watched.
"That's Wrecker," Sull commented as the biggest just ran into a group of droids destroying them on place, "he is kriffing strong. Though you can see."
"Yeah," Kata mentali categorised his movements just to understand his tactics. Soon she saw as he threw a droid half across the salle by just punching it, "Osik... That was a bit... He almost knocked down the one with two blasters..."
"Tech. The one with too much brain cells would be more accurate."
The boy dodged and commented "Wrecker, I would like to ask you not to do it again. It would be ill-adviced tactical decision." At that moment he got on top of one droid slising its programm from his wrist computer and using it to shoot down four others easily.
"Sorry, didn't saw you!"
"Do this to me and you will get a shot in shebs," the thin one snurked shooting three droids by one bolt.
"That is Crosshair. Bastard has a really good aim," Sull turned to look around th salle, "kriff, Hunter is again... hunting."
"The last one?"
"Yeah. Sargent and scout of the team. Can sneak on almost everybody. Also has extraordinary senses. Can hear a heartbit throu the wall."
"Wow... And I see he loves blades."
They both watched as he atacked another group of three droids and just slised them down. It took him like two seconds. Kata was interested already. Their skills were... higher than it was expected. She saw each of them in the action. But soon their fight became harder. Reinforcements were sent, circling them and giving them 'hot greetings'.
Wrecker was the first one to get problemes. He lost his blaster after one lucky shot from the droid and he has already thrown his vibroblade to Hunter so sarge could use both hands. The big guy just started smashing clankers with bare hands not looking how hard it was for him and gettings hits back.
The next one was Tech. He somehow got to the terminal he had to get data from to complete mission. He started working but was thrown aback by high voltage trap, hitting him as soon as he touched lower panel of it. Definetly he got burns.
Then Crosshair got almost hit by one of the bolts. It went in front of his face and Kata heard the groan of pain. Did he get hit?
"Cross, sitrep." Hunter was not so far, so he used everything to cover his brother.
"Got half blind. Can shoot."
"I got the data." Tech reported with a quiet hiss.
"Everybody, back to the safe zone." Hunter stayed the last , covering them. But as he was the last target all the fire was consentraited on him so he got shot fast enough. Wrecker just picked him up and dragged to the safe zone to end the sim, as sargent was still concious so would got hit at list one more time.
Kata whinced as she watched this. The number of droids was twice as high as normal for the last year group. But they won. Didn't loose anyone, just some injuries. But why so brutal? Why are boys so calm about being hit? Why do they even keep calm when the mission went so wrong?
She closed her eyes to center herself and took several deep breaths.
"I will try. As soon as they are out oh medical."
"They won't be at medbay."
"What?!"
"They... never go there." Sull stoped to find the words, "They keep hiding in their barracs. Will stay there untill they are hungry and feel good enough to get to the mess."
"Where are their barracs?" she opened a map on her com.
"Level 2 room C-99/5. Why?"
"They need at least supplies," she started walking away, "will get there at night. See what I can do."
***
Hunter quietly groaned and turned to see the room. Hell, get an overload strong enough to have fever during the evaluation. He might have ruined the whole impression of the squad. He could only wish that they wouldn't get punished.
His headache spiked and he had to use his pillow to muffle the next cry of pain. Hell, why was he so vulnerable? Good thing was that others were asleep even Tech. They would try to calm him and he would feel even worse.
It was 0325 at chrono when he saw something that can't be real at all. The grate of vent shaft on the ceiling moved into it and a shadow fall silently on the table placed in the middle. That couldn't be real. He might began hallucinating. But the person moved without any sound. They put a small bag on the floor and took out something.
When they sat on the edge of the Wrecker's bunk Hunter tried to stand up, but his body was limp and he had almost no strength to do so. The person raised their head to look at him. They showed him something in their hand and soon he smelled the bacta. Might be bactapatch or solution. They were... Helping? But why? And who were they?
Stranger spent about ten minutes treating Wrecker's bruises and then moved to Tech. They carefully took his brother's hand and used some bacta gel to treat the burns he got from the trap on terminal. That was really strange. They were sure what happened to people to work so fast.
Hunter watched as stranger moved around the room. Cross was their next patient. Though now they were hesitating. But as soon as they moved his head they hummed quietly and took out a gause and dumped it in bacta. Crosshair almost moaned from relieve as his eyes were covered.
Soon the person moved to Hunter and touched his burning forehead. Kriff, he hated this feeling. He needed a fever reducer but they ran out of it in their sneaked medpack. Stranger ran hand through his hair and Hunter couldn't help but leaned in the touch.
"Poor boys... Calm, sargent, you are safe." Their voice was quiet and soft as they found something in their bag, "I'll help... Shhh... Udesii, verd'ika... Swallow this... Yeah..."
He got some kind of pill and several sips of water. Hunter tried to stay alert but his body was giving up. He needed sleep.
"I'll leave you something. You would be able to find it." Their hand was again playing with his hair. Hunter gave up. And slipped deep into sleep as he felt the person leaving something under his pillow.
***
The morning came calmer, than Hunter expected. No trainers waking them up, no scientists wanting to test them today. They were really safe here. Like he was told...
That thought woke him up. He sat on his bank looking around. Wrecker and Tech were still asleep but Crosshair was awake and also looking around. His eye were less teary than evening before and definitely less red.
"Are you feeling better?" His younger brother moved and set on the edge of older's bunk and leaned on his shoulder.
"Yeah, think the fever came down. And you?" Hunter played with silver curls.
"No tears and itch... Do you think Tech took care of us?" Cross showed him now dry gause, "someone covered my eyes. But who would know except us?"
"I don't know. May be yeah, but you can ask him, I think..."
He thought about the day and took his datapad to get their plan for today. He looked through it with utter shock. Day off? What the osik?
"You okay?" Cross touched his hand. Hunter only turned the datapad so his brother would see the screen. "What the hell? They gave us a day off?"
"Mhm, look who sanctioned it."
"Who is cmndr Aro? CCs cant do this, and Alphas are ARCs..."
"I think she is a new general's daughter or cadet... Have seen them above the mess once."
"But why to give us a day off? She just authorised it and no comments! We never met! What does jetii want from us?!"
"May be we were given a day off because she was watching our sim yesterday," came the answer from the other bank. Well, Tech woke up. "And who patched my hands? We were out of bactapatches already from the last one and there was no chance to get more..."
"So not a hallucination..." Hunter murmured quietly. He searched under the pillow and took out a small pack of something. The label read "nuts in chocolate".
Crosshair stood up and searched under his own taking out the same package. And Tech got the same.
"Well, someone has been here." Hunter huffed and stood up. He went around the room and than opened one of the panels near the floor, "we got a bit more supplies. Two small medpacks and some ration bars. Someone was here last night and left us this."
They woke up Wrecker, who was also pleased with surprise but wanted to know who gave it to them.
***
"Padawan, want to explain why were you not in your room last nigh?" Shaak Ti looked at her sleepy student, who was mostly playing with her food not eating it.
"No."
"But I want to know, where have you been."
"Vents."
"What were you doing in the vents in the middle of the night?"
"Crawling." Kata was not really talkative this time. She put the fork down and raised from the table, "will go to the salle. Want to train a bit before we would be needed at the meeting or training salles."
She almost ran away. Shaak smiled and returned to her tea. She would have to ask Kenobi where did he got this blend. It was magnificent. Just like the the taste of good working plan. Well, their combination was even better.

MY AU|CANON
ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE!
Characters:
— The Uzumaki-Uchiha family!
Tumblr media
• Uzumaki-Naruto Uchiha (Father; head of the clan)
Tumblr media
Nanadaime Hokage. A loving father of the family. He really wants to spend more time with his family, but because of Hokage's affairs, he rarely gets to spend even children's birthdays together.
Rarely comes home to sleep, but Sasuke fixes him.
• Uzumaki-Uchiha Sasuke (Dad)
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, Uchiha, after the second birthday of twins Himawari and Minato, went on a long-term mission. He returned home six years later, which pleasantly surprised the children.
He is at home 24/7, cooks them breakfast, lunch and dinner, monitors the cleanliness of the house, does all household chores in general. When he has free time, he goes to the Hokage's office. Never knocks, Naruto recognizes this chakra always.
• Uzumaki-Uchiha Menma
Tumblr media
He is a real mix of Naruto and Sasuke! But Hokage, of course, does not dream of becoming. He rather wants to help sister Sarada, will be her right hand.
He inherited the habit of his father and mother, his phrase: Dattebachi (a mixture of "Dattebayo" and "Usuratonkachi").
Being the first child of the reincarnations of the chakras of Ashura and Indra Ootsutsuki, he has a lot of it. Menma is the only one who was born with three moustaches, not two.
He is popular at the Academy, he is friends with everyone, but Haruno-Hyuga Memori and Mitsuki can distinguish from everyone, with whom they will form Team 7 with captain Sarutobi Konohamaru in the future.
• Uzumaki-Uchiha Boruto
Tumblr media
It infuriates him that their father spends so little time with them, and dad was with them every day after completing the mission. He decided that he wanted to be like dad and did not wear the coat of arms of the Uzumaki-Uchiha clan, but only Uchiha. By the way, he is the last of the children who awakened Sharingan, at the age of 12.
Like Menma, Boruto has his own phrase: Dattebasa. Unlike his brother, he uses it very often. He has this straight word-parasite.
He was in love with Haruno-Hyuga Memory for a while, but then he was attracted to Kakei Sumire. Now he's torn between the two.
• Uzumaki-Uchiha Sarada
Tumblr media
Sarada is the future Hokage and tries to be like his father in everything. However, she is more like Sasuke in character, and even learned the technique of Chidori. She wears the symbol of the Uzumaki Uchiha clan behind her back, because she is the (future) first Hokage Uchiha.
She is the last one who got the catchphrase, but this is not related to the Uzumaki clan. Dad's "Usuratonkachi" often slips from her tongue towards Uchiha-Hatake Houki.
She is third in the class in grades, proud of her background, but never uses it. Sometimes she is considered arrogant, but this is not so. He is friends with Akimichi Chouchou.
• Uzumaki-Uchiha Himawari
Tumblr media
The older twin. She has a younger brother, Minato, who is 5 minutes younger than her. She's very nice. He likes to spend time with his brother and sister Sarada.
She was the fastest to awaken Sharingan with one tomoe, at the age of three, when Minato did not want his sister to take a toy to the ceremony of awarding the post of Hokage to their father.
• Uzumaki-Uchiha Minato
Tumblr media
Named after Naruto and Yondaime Hokage's father. Harmful, but cute. The older siblings can't get mad at him.
He awakened Sharingan at the age of 8, when he first saw dad (at a conscious age).
Plot:
The new generation is growing and developing, everyone is happy except one... Boruto is furious that their father spends so little time with them, and only Menma can come to him without warning. Boruto is infuriated that Dad went on such a long mission, and for 6 years he did not send a single letter, and when he came, he taught only Menma and Sarada. Boruto is infuriated that when he used Kote, Menma did not protect him from the words of his father, other Kage and residents of Konohagakure.
Menma. Menma! MENMA! The whole world seems to revolve around his niichan. It's not fair. Why does he always have to look at his back? No. That won't do. He has to get stronger.
"If I become a God, the whole world will be at my feet", Boruto repeated to himself.
The perfect victim. Momoshiki Ootsutsuki spent a lot of time watching Boruto. His body is perfect. The chakra of the Sage of the Six Paths flows in it, and hence the chakra of Kaguya. In the forest where the blond man spent his time, he saw something that he shouldn't. A dark clot of chakra that could talk.
— Are you someone else?
— I'm the one who can change your life. — the nasty voice interested the boy.
— And how? — he chuckled.
— Accept me, I will help you fulfill all your desires, Uzumaki-Uchiha Boruto.
— Do you know my name?
— Of course. I also know that you want people to pay attention to you.
Boruto slowly approached the dark chakra, it was his mistake. The blob giggled and jumped on his chest. Having dissolved, he merged with Boruto's heart.
— What the...?
The light blinded him, black stripes appeared on the right side of his body, and a horn grew on his forehead. Due to the abundant amount of chakra, the boy fainted.
* * *
It was a trial version. I do not know whether to write about it or not.
