Author's Note: After quite some time, hello! I'm so sorry this took so long, but life has been so busy and hectic last month I simply didn't have time and energy to write this sooner. Though I'm very glad for everyone who waited for this part and I hope you'll like it. It's probably not the last one, I have few ideas for more parts. But I don't want to promise anything, we all know how long this part took XD.

What do you think Betty's main purpose was for buying a car? Because she just wanted one, but not as expensive as a Mercedes, which she only agreed to get because of Nicolas as we see her remember what an unconditional friend he had been. But let's say that they had bought a regular car, nothing fancy, what was the reason? I'm thinking that she didn't want Armando to drive her to her house anymore and was thinking of having Nicolás pick her up and take her to events and whatnot as she stated, but her "financial jealousy" angle worked much better with an expensive car, but considering she did not seem to have that in mind (but it did wonders for her plan), what do you think she was aiming for? Or how would have Armando reacted to see her leave Ecomoda with Nicolas but without the added shock factor of seeing them on a Marcedes? Thank you for taking your time to read this 🌷

Dude! it seems like we're on the same wavelength!! These past few days I've seen mutuals mention the Mercedes and it also has me questioning what would've happened if she did buy an affordable car like how she originally wanted. Tbh I couldn't come up with anything other than what you mention.

I remember how a mutual said "Betty mentally broke up with Armando" and I think that's exactly right. Just like how alcohol surrounded their relationship, so did his car. With the breakup, Armando had to lose his car privileges with Betty. She didn't want him to drive her around, take her home, give her goodnight kisses, she just didn't want to rely on him much less share the same space with him.

We know that the Mercedes was part of her plan to give him financial jealousy but I feel like deep down Betty actually wanted to give him romantic jealousy. (I feel like we get this confirmation with the advice Aura Maria gives to Sofia). And what's a better way to give Armando romantic jealousy than by switching his role with Nicolas?! Now that was chef's kiss!

The Mercedes was an all around good choice to give Armando both financial and romantic jealousy. If Betty did get an affordable car it wouldn't have had the same impact but I feel like it could've been used as a great barrier between the two of them. My memory is hazy but I think one of Betty's arguments during their 2nd night together is that their relationship wouldn't work because they're from different social status. An affordable car would have highlighted this.

If Nicolas pulled up with a normal looking car no one would bat an eye. No one would ask what he works in, where he got the money, why some one with wealth would be involved with Betty etc (remember Marcela made a whole fuss with finding out more about Nicolas). The only ones who would actually care would be the girls from the Cuartel. I feel like with a normal looking car, it would've tormented Armando.

Just imagine Nicolas and Betty driving around with a normal car. The Cuartel would be squealing, fangirling, congratulating Betty for her relationship. Maybe their relationship would seem "stronger" cause there's a chance Patricia wouldn't try to be involved with Nicolas. Their appearance of lovebirds would be perfect and it would leave Armando seething in anger. He'll have no choice but to watch Nicolas do what Armando did for Betty but the difference is that Nicolas has the privilege to be affectionate in public. Armando wouldn't even be able to complain or make a fuss like he did when the Mercedes was involved. With the Mercedes there's the worry of Terramoda's money being used but with a cheap car what's there to worry about? I don't doubt he would still follow Betty and Nicolas around but this time he can't admit to Mario that he did. With the Mercedes he had the opportunity to say that he followed them around to figure out what was going on with the Mercedes but in this situation what can he say? He can't admit to Mario that he's stalking them so he'll have no choice but to keep his feelings to himself. Mario tho? Mario would torture Amrando! He would say stuff like how Betty changed him for Nicolas, how she would rather be with someone poor than with a wealthy man like him, how PERFECT those two are for each other and everyone would think so too! even Marcela! I can imagine her saying something along the lines of how ugly betty deserves to be with someone ugly as Nicolas driving around in an ugly car. Armando will go nuts! He's gonna get desperate! He's obviously going to try to win Betty back but how? How to convince her? What can he give to Betty that Nicolas can't? Afterall what Betty really wanted was their relationship to be known by everyone. Armando can't do that but Nicolas can. He can't even use Nicolas against her. Before he was able to say that Nicolas is taking advantage of her, using her, but in this scenario he can't say all that. He'll essentially have no argument he can use.

Betty would probably be satisfied with this. I feel like deep down she always enjoyed Armando's reactions when she paraded around with the Mercedes. I have no doubt she'll enjoy watching Armando feel lesser than Nicolas. A wealthy man being jealous of a poor man, laughable. Anyways, like I said before, an affordable car could've been a great barrier between them. There'll be no reason for Armando to drive Betty around and Betty could use the car to avoid him. Their dates will end up awkward cause there's no doubt Betty would want them to arrive in separate cars. Plus it gives her the power to leave whenever she feels like it. Imagine her ditching Armando during a phone call with Marcela lol. Most of their dates, if not all, consisted of Armando driving her around, having conversations, and giving her goodnight kisses inside his car. If we remove his car there's basically no more intimacy and it'll give Betty the opportunity to "officially" breakup with Armando. The Mercedes was a big deal so of course everyone's reaction was exaggerated. I'm sure that Betty was exhausted defending herself and Nicolas from the executives. Seriously idk why Marcela and Daniel even cared about Betty being related to the Mercedes. Anyways, a normal car would go "unnoticed", it would help Betty slowly separate from Armando and they'll basically drift away from each other. The distance is what I think was what Betty was aiming for, to avoid him cause at the end of the day she wanted nothing to do with him. And Armando won't be able to close the distance. Wasn't he the one who authorized Betty to buy herself a car? He can't just tell her to not use it or to get rid of it. He'll seriously have no choice but to watch Betty drive away with Nicolas. When the conversation of their relationship comes around Betty could just say they should stop with their relationship since it's not working out.

Ok long story short I feel like what Betty was aiming for with a normal car was to simply put distance between her and Armando and also to give him romantic jealousy. I know she said she was trying to give him financial jealousy but I think she came up with that idea after the Mercedes. Armando would obviously be seething in anger to see how Betty is being swept away by Nicolas, to watch how they shamelessly act like lovebirds, and to hear from everyone that Betty and Nicolas are perfect for each other. Also I feel like this scenario could've helped Armando realize his feelings for Betty. Before he was able to convince himself that he's going crazy cause "his" money was being involved but in this case he has no other choice but to actually see the big picture and realize his feelings for Betty is beyond than just remorse.

I'll stop right here cause I have so many ideas, so many thoughts, but I don't know how to intertwine them. I hope you're somewhat satisfied with my response. I tried hard to explain my thoughts coherently but writing was never my strong suit.

how would george russell fare on drag race? - a review by ame ruszhou

firstly this is a joke. george, by virtue of being a, presumably, cishet white f1 driver, is 100% going to be horrible on drag race. although if he knew how to paint (put makeup on) his face would be perfect for drag race. have you SEEN those eyelashes?

secondly, drag race is composed of many aspects outside of runways and lipsyncs. for those who don't watch drag race, drag race has a maxi challenge (main challenge), sometimes a mini challenge (it does not add to your final judgment that episode), and a runway. in the american drag race, they tend to focus on how you did in the maxi challenge, with runways as a padded bonus. if you did bad on the runway but good in the challenge, they tend to just Forget the fact your runway was bad. in some instances though, the runway helped people get out of the bottom positions, or, unfortunately, has barred people from winning an episode.

lipsyncs, on the other hand, mostly happen when you are on the bottom two. other instances, although saved for special episodes and finales, are for lipsyncing for a win/the crown. as much as this comprises drag race's popularity, MANY drag race winners have never lipsynced for their lives (ie. both sashas, bianca, violet, aquaria & willow), or have only done it one or twice (bar the special episodes, of course). so, just because you're a good lipsyncer doesn't mean you're the best in drag race. arguably, many "lipsync assassins" lost drag race, because that means they've been on the bottom multiple times.

so, how do you know if you're good in drag race?

it kind of fizzles down to two things: 1.) track record, meaning how much you win or you've been on a high placement, and 2.) storyline and likeability. the second point seems redundant, but many drag race winners, despite having the worst track record of the season, has won due to this criterion.

before we get into the nitty gritty of the challenges, a funny criteria rupaul also likes to judge the contestants by is by CUNT— charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. it's not actually serious, but we can judge george by this, just because we can.

charisma - 7/10

i feel like george can be charismatic when he wants to be. if the competition asks for it, he can do anything. at the least, george wouldn't be a contestant who fades into the background. many people on drag race who don't have much of a presence usually gets eliminated early on unless something begins to change (lady camden comes to mind). i think george wouldn't have that fate, at least, by his extraversion alone.

uniqueness - 3/10

maybe even lower. quite frankly, george is. the whitest man i've ever seen. his fashion sense, music interests, etc. are very basic, and while it's okay to be basic, drag race always pushes queens to have more variety. show the same look thrice and michelle (a judge) would call you out for it. moreover, videos from the f1 channel or williams has shown george has pretty mediocre design choices in artistic challenges so, there's that.

nerve - 9/10

despite being good at pr, george is also the same person, at 12, who threatened another driver he'd drive into them in the next lap, so yeah! i think george is very honest with what he feels, to mercedes and as a gpda director, so i don't think he'd be coming to this shy. he has terrified checo perez enough to not have that "nerve" aspect. in this case, george could be very good at untucked— the additional show to drag race showing the cast behind the scenes before the lipsync. if i could compare him to other queens, i'd imagine someone like tatianna on s2, alaska on as2, awhora on uks2, or jasmine on s14.

talent - ???/10

in a drag race sense, i don't know what george is good at tbh? obviously this comes from the fact that he is. an f1 driver. but who knows. drag race tends to push a lot out of their contestants and i won't be surprised if george comes out as a dancer or a designer. i don't even know what he'd do on the talent show besides, i don't know, race? play football?

okay, now that's out of the way, we can get to the challenges. to me, i feel like george has the personality and competitive drive needed for drag race, and if you challenge him to do something, he'd do it Well. so while he may not have any experience in sewing or dancing or whatever, if he was casted on drag race for some odd reason, he'd 100% prepare before he gets there.

anyway, challenge time! there are multiple challenges on drag race outside of lipsycning and runways. if i don't put all of them then that's not my fault. there is a lot of challenges LOL.

talent show - 2/10

in the recent seasons, these are usually the first challenges to introduce the contestants properly. i'll be frank, again, i do not know what george is gonna show. i am inclined to believe he gets eliminated in this episode. ALTHOUGH, talent shows doesn't always mean you gotta do something extravagant— contestants like willow, jimbo, and tatianna have shown that, sometimes you just gotta do something entertaining. by principle of george's competitiveness, he could possibly find a way, but i have low hopes.

design challenge - 4/10

these are challenges where you're asked to create outfits out of fabrics or unconventional materials, usually the latter. i'm less worried about the production since hot glue does its magic, but again, george has. poor artistic inclinations.

another kind of design challenge, usually called the makeover challenge, is when you are tasked with making someone over. i genuinely want some f1 drivers to be on the show one day as those being made over, but if we're talking about george making someone over? i can… see it. somewhat. same sentiments as the previous paragraph, but if george knew how to put on makeup, he'd KILL. he genuinely has the perfect sculpted face for drag. i have had this picture since last year and i feel like you should look at this:

acting challenges - 3/10

have you. have you seen him act for skits and commercials. even for comedic ones he cannot act normal. again, george's competitiveness blah blah blah, but i genuinely fear for his life in acting challenges. although, if the acting challenge were improv, then i think george has a better chance of winning? i think george is generally very humorous, and if he was asked to improv rather than act, it would be much butter— although, not perfect, of course.

snatch game - 4/10

i don't even think he'd do well in snatch game either. if you don't know snatch game, it's a parody of match game, and the contestants have to pretend to be celebrities and provide answers to questions rupaul gives. the challenge is less of perfect impersonation, and more of a comedy challenge. i feel like george has no frame of reference of what he can possibly do, but i feel like, again, he'd be better with improv. moreover, snatch game is something you expect and prepare for per season, so i think george can pull something together if asked.

musical challenge - 6/10

it depends which type. if he is asked to sing it, we are doomed. if it's just a lipsync, i can see it work! he gives me marcia energy from s15, maybe a bit of jan from s12 or courtney from s6. i think george would be more expressive when it comes to lipsyncs because there's more preparation, and he doesn't have to speak.

roasts - 10/10

GEORGE WOULD KILL. GEORGE WOULD KILLLLLL. if you don't know what roasts are, like the name suggests, roasts ask you to just. insult someone comedically. have you SEEN his comments towards the fia? because yeah, he would kill. he would 100% win this challenge. hell, he'd tour on the hater's roast after drag race.

girl group challenge - 5/10

i have. no clue how this would go. on one hand he is not creative, on the other hand, if he can roast well, i feel like he can make a detox-like verse. put him on read u wrote u. i will lean more towards, he probably can. i know george isn't a dancer and is literally a white man, but i feel like, if he genuinely tried, he could? maybe it's the athleticism of it. he reminds me of someone like brooke from s11 or lemon from cans1.

lipsync/choreo challenge - 6/10

again, athleticism— by virtue of athleticism, i can see george be able to pull out some stunts. i'm telling you, george's stubbornness will get him places. i feel like he'd also emote better when lipsyncing, because he doesn't have to focus on making his voice sound believable.

okay that's it. tldr; george will do bad in most challenges bar roasts, but by virtue of george's stubbornness and competitiveness, if he were actually cast on drag race, he'd do REALLY well. don't underestimate what competitiveness does to a person, especially since george is very determined/goal-oriented.

edit: i forgot storyline! besides the challenges, storyline helps audiences enjoy contestants despite not being good at drag race. if george comes in drag race cocky and overprepared, i can see him as someone like ginger from s7 or loosey from s15 where, while somewhat good at drag race, got audiences hating them for being Too Good. these people tend to lose drag race aince they're just Untouchable and Unrelatable, but a way i can see george be well-liked is when he has an arc like trinity from s9, where she starts of pageant-like, then realizes she likes acting dumb and being more relaxed. personalities like george's, though, usually end up being the "safe girl", cursed to be eliminated before the finale with barely or nary a win. and if they get to the finale, they're usually not the favorite. but, he could be someone like jaida from s12 who's pageant-like and silly, while also win!

rating the glee kids based on how easy it was to animate them

finn: 9/10

-1 bc i kept underestimating how long his part was and had to go back and add more frames at least once

all of the frames were pretty similar and tbh that was simultaneously a blessing and a curse

britt: 10/10

im a britt apologist, she can do no wrong to me, so she's the only one whose bopping around did not cost her any points

honestly the best person to get me started experimenting with smear frames here! i love her

-1 bc these aren't my best britt drawings (sorry babe)

+1 bc she somehow managed to look cute in her transitions from finn and to puck. i didn't think that was possible. who else is doing it like her <3

did not need to be moving that much. sir pls stop why were u whipping ur head around like that

pretty quick, pretty easy! no complaints there he is vv cute and it's nice to draw him more

i was feeling pretty neutral about her for a while but i'm back to hating her just bc of this

i can draw her from one angle only so everything else was a nightmare and i learned to draw her out of sheer spite

she was singing the "it's tough for you to get by" part so a. i had to sync her mouth to the words and b. it felt like a personal attack 😔 yes it was tough rachel thank u for rubbing it in

every time i thought i was done with her i had to go back and add more frames and i was seething about it

mercedes: 5/10

still not used to drawing her so genuinely who knows if the resemblance is there or not

very short segment for her tho so i suppose it could've been much worse? but i don't love what i did

sam: 8/10

so little screentime (literally 4 frames rip samuel)! quick and easy, i have to appreciate that

the hair transition from mercedes to sam was so fun actually

kurt: 9/10

What’s ur favorite scene for each of the glee chs you love?

hi anon! i love this ask! i answered something similar a while back here if u want more detail!

my favorite characters are kurt, blaine, mercedes, quinn, sam, santana, and finn so:

kurt: i have so many for kurt tbh, but i think the one that really stands out to me is the hallway scene in 2x20, after he's announced prom queen. it's such a cruel thing for the kids to have done to him, and he's so upset, but i love that it slowly turns into him refusing to allow that hatred to give him a lump in his throat. him deciding to go back and get coronated, especially after he'd just come back to mckinley really hits hard and is such a beautiful display of kurt's strength over the past season.

blaine: pretty much all of 4x07, but specifically, blaine deciding not to rejoin the warblers. that was such a striking moment for him, deciding to break his pattern of running when he got scared/things got hard, and choosing to face what he did head on. it wasn't the easy choice, but it was the one that was better for him in the end, and i just remember watching and being so proud of blaine's courage in that moment.

mercedes: the scene in 4x21, before higher ground, where she tells everyone that she doesn't have a record deal because she refused to compromise on her image to market it. i've talked about this a bit before, but mercedes' arc of refusing to make herself smaller or into something she isn't is so, so important to me, as a woc. it means so much to see her be true to herself and refuse to give that up no matter what. she owns exactly who she is and that is so beautiful to me.

quinn: the scene after never can say goodbye in 3x11, where she tells everyone she got into yale. it always makes me cry. it's a moment where i'm so, so proud of her and her development. she went through so much during high school, and it’s so emotional for me, watching her say that you can let go of the past and start your future, because that’s what she struggled with for so long.

sam: the scene in 6x13, where he gives his first glee club lesson about country music. that is the most beautiful way to conclude sam’s arc on the show, and made me so happy when i first watched it. that felt like a return of my favorite version of sam. it’s so true to his story and his family and where he came from, and signified really well where he was going to go with glee club as their coach.

santana: again, so many come to mind here, but i think i’d have to say the scene in 5x18, where we get the quote about wanting to use her bitch powers to protect the people she cares about. that’s like..... the thesis of santana’s character for me, and i’m really, really glad we got to hear her say that. it feels like the culmination of five seasons of development for her, and it’s probably my favorite santana quote.

finn: i was going back and forth about which finn scene for a while, and i think i have to go with him offering unique rizzo. it’s such a beautiful way to showcase finn’s development as a person, and how far he’s come since s1. his character started off not understanding a lot, and not dealing with those misunderstandings well, and to see him go from that to....being the first person to affirm unique’s identity and give her something so concrete and symbolic of that, in getting to play rizzo, was just.....so emotional for me. i adore it.

Need some advice queen, since you’re the best at it.

So I had this mild thing with somebody, whatever. We both like each other, blah, blah. They were pretty wild for me too, mind you, once upon a time. We’re in different cities tho, up until I move (so it’s a couple hrs).

Anyways, I was in their city for a week but couldn’t meet up with them, and they decided to talk about how they want to “rip off my shirt” and just sexual talk, whatever.

Shortly after me telling them I’m unable to, until x date (few months), they said they would wait. Then I noticed their demeanour changed, leaving me on read if I get flirty, etc, OBVIOUSLY they got a girlfriend.

NOW I notice they tend to watch all my Snap stories, which (most will argue it means nothing) but my intuition tells me it does mean something.

So I stopped sending them snaps for a week, they stop sending me snaps for a week, I haven’t bugged them. Then I decided to delete them after I saw some push-pull manipulative method bragging on Tik Tok.

After deleting them, this confirms my suspicions they’re watching me, because I haven’t sent them anything. Which means they’re constantly checking my profile, and or Snap score. That’s how they knew I deleted them.

I then get an angry msg from them, saying I confuse them, they’re upset with me cause I told them they’ll forget me, blah, blah I felt bad so I just BS’d them saying I did it while drunk, and not out of malice.

They got happy again, and then send me a pic flexing their Mercedes Benz (mind you they use to drive a diff car but they see me in the Benz, now suddenly they have one?) And then saying they’re going to THEIR girlfriends house.

Now I feel so fucking icky, because I flirted with them weeks ago, and they didn’t mention the gf (just my intuition) they never post her so idk.

But like why stalk me? ESP when they have a girlfriend I don’t … Get it? What do I do? Ghost?

I think the best thing to do is send them a polite message saying “listen, I don’t feel comfortable with our dynamic now that you have a gf. I’m also not sure I want to be friends for now because of the past history/the dynamic we’ve got going on. Best of luck with your relationship! Hopefully after this settles down a bit, we can all meet up when I move there in a couple months and be friends :) for now though I’d prefer no more contact. I’ll let you know when I’m in [their city]. Thanks!” That’s transparent and honest. It’s not accusatory. It’s just setting a super healthy boundary, reminding them of their gf and their responsibilities to her, and saying you don’t want to be part of any untoward shenanigans. And then if they keep messaging after that like yeah ghost them. But say something like that first (in your own words obviously) just to explain what’s going on on your end and also to have the power tbh and like not play games because that’s just gonna be a mindfuck for everyone and eventually pretty inevitably lead to drama and hurt feelings. The gf might not be around by the time you move there, you don’t actually have the be friends with any of them, but this way you’re being positive and constructive rather than yk confusing which is what they’ve already accused you of being. And like they’re very confusing themselves but maybe also confused so just unconfuse this whole situation with a dose of transparency.

7. after watching them for the whole season, what do you think were the prettiest and ugliest cars?

in general, i wasn't really a fan of how any of the cars looked this season. i really didn't subscribe to the 'sexy ferrari' fan theory, i think it looked like a toad tbh. ugliest in spirit obviously has to go to the queen, the w13 outdid herself in every possible way.

prettiest i'll sort of cheat and go with mclaren's special singapore/japan livery, and merc's miami livery. if mercedes had actually done this fan concept though-

9. your favourite podium of the year?

silvo i guess by virtue of max not being involved. in theory it should probably be brazil, although admittedly i still have not watched that podium and have no intention of doing so because george should not have won the race thank u

11. one early prediction for next season?

stealing this from @ultrasofts because she made me laugh so much with it:

"maybe max will be in jail by then"

no, there was absolutely no context for it

as an actual prediction:

ideally, for the Entertainment, checo gets dropped because he can't play nice with max. realistically, hulkenberg and kmag murder each other by the fourth race.
