Rosy bonnet (Mycena rosea)
These gorgeous little fungi are so tempting but, sadly, they contain the toxin muscarine. It's probably in too low quantities to be a serious concern, and I am always tempted to try it, though.

FOTD #001 : rosy bonnet! (mycena rosea)
the rosy bonnet is a species of bioluminescent (specifically phosphorescent) mushroom in the family mycenaceae. it is often found beneath beech trees & on roadside verges bordered by beech hedges.
the big question : can i bite it??
the rosy bonnet contains trace amounts of the toxin muscarine & is therefore not edible.
m. rosea description :
"the cap - a soft-pink colour - initially has a convex shape before flattening; its diameter may reach up to 6 cm (2.4 in). gills on hymenium. cap is conical. hymenium is adnate. stipe is bare. spore print is white."

Mycena Rosea
Me, Digital, June 2022
Mycena Rosea is a beautiful little bugger of a mushroom. So I drew one last Saturday, had a few busy days since then, so I'm only getting around to posting it now.
