I just bought a mini soccer ball that was signed by some of the girls in 2008. Who was gonna tell me that Tobin was #13 at one point in time? 🥸. Did she get the call up before Alex did? I’m struggling to understand who’s been on this team the longest lol I thought it was Pinoe, Alex and then Tobin
Tobin did get called up before Alex, 2 years before her in fact. It goes as follows (keep in mind that sometimes first call up is a bit vague because only first caps are really registered).
First call up/cap Pinoe - Mid 2006 (first cap in july 2006) Tobin - January 2008 (first cap in january 2008) Becky - January 2008 (first cap in january 2008) Kelley - December 2009 (first cap in march 2010) Alex - Early 2010 (first cap in march 2010)
Pinoe has been on the team longest but missed the 2008 Olympics due to injury, Becky wasn't selected due to her being brought back to the u23's (she came back to the NT in 2010). Tobin is the player with the second most major tournaments played with 7 (Lloyd is the only player in history with 8. If Tobin plays in WC23 she becomes the second player with 8 tournaments played). Pinoe, Alex, Becky and Kelley all have played 6 major tournaments.
So yeah, Tobin got her first cap at 19, Alex at 20, Kelley at 21, Pinoe at 21, Becky at 22.

Alexander Miles, a prominent African-American inventor of the late 19th century, is best known for his groundbreaking invention - elevator doors that could open and close automatically. This invention transformed the safety of elevator rides, with automatic doors now considered a standard feature in modern elevators.
Born on May 18, 1838, in Circleville, Ohio, Alexander Miles was the son of Michael and Mary Miles. As a young adult, he relocated to Waukesha, Wisconsin, where he worked as a barber throughout the 1860s. It was while living in Winona, Minnesota, in 1870, that he met Candace J. Dunlap from New York City, who later became his wife. After the birth of their daughter, Grace, the family moved to Duluth, Minnesota.
In Duluth, Miles enjoyed significant success as a barber, setting up a barbershop in the four-story St. Louis Hotel. He smartly invested his savings into purchasing a real estate office. His business acumen led to him becoming the first Black member of the Duluth Chamber of Commerce. In 1884, Miles constructed a three-story brownstone building in an area that later came to be known as the “Miles Block.”
While taking elevator rides in his buildings, Miles noticed the dangerous risks associated with manually operated elevator shaft doors being left open. Determined to solve this problem, he invented a mechanism that allowed elevator shaft doors to operate at the correct times. The mechanism, which involved a flexible belt attached to the elevator cage touching drums positioned along the elevator shaft, automated the elevator doors through a series of levers and rollers. On October 11, 1887, Alexander Miles was granted a patent for his life-saving invention (U.S. Patent 371,207).
In 1899, Miles and his family moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he started The United Brotherhood, a life insurance company for Black customers who were denied coverage by White-owned firms. Eventually, Miles relocated to Seattle, Washington. Prior to his death on May 7, 1918, he was considered the wealthiest Black person in the Pacific Northwest area, largely due to the income from his invention. In recognition of his contributions, Alexander Miles was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2007.

I saw another of these floating around that was...wrong, so I'm putting this together so people can keep characters' ages straight more easily. I'm not listing everyone, obviously, but characters whose ages get misstated most often.
Does this match up with the wiki or the Ultimanias? Absolutely not! The Ultimania says that Lucrecia was pregnant for three years! The wiki says that Vincent was shot after Sephiroth was born, even though Lucrecia was still pregnant when it happened! The source material, however, is 99.99% internally consistent with regard to the timeline, so I go with that, and that's what we're going by here.
Jenova Project S (1977 · [ μ ] – εγλ 1977)
Vincent: 26-27 (October 13, 1950)
Lucrecia: 27-28 (July 22, presumed 1949 or 1950)
Hojo: 32 (born 1945)
Pre-Crisis Core (2000 · [ μ ] – εγλ 2000)
Genesis: 23 (born early 1977, see first link below)
Sephiroth: 22-23 (born in late 1977, probably Christmas)
Angeal: 21-22 (born late 1977/early 1978, see first link above)
Zack: 16 (born in 1984)
Cloud: 14 (August 11, 1986)
Aerith: 15 (February 2, 1985)
Nibelheim Incident (October 2002 · [ ν ] – εγλ 0002)
Genesis: 25
Sephiroth: 24-25
Angeal: 23-24
Zack: 18
Cloud: 16
Aerith: 17
The Crisis (December 2007 · [ ν ] – εγλ 0007)
Genesis: 30-31
Sephiroth: 30 (physically ~25)
Angeal: 29-30
Zack: 23
Cloud: 21
Aerith: 22
Vincent: 57 (physically 27)
Lucrecia: 57-58 (physically ~34)
Hojo: 62
Advent Children (2009 · [ ν ] – εγλ 0008)
Genesis: 32-33 (physically ~30)
Sephiroth: 32 (physically ~25)
Cloud: 23
Vincent: 59 (physically 27)
Dirge of Cerberus (2010 · [ ν ] – εγλ 0010)
Genesis: 33-34 (physically ~30)
Cloud: 24
Vincent: 60 (physically 27)
Lucrecia: 60-61 (physically 34)
Hojo: 65 (physically nonexistent)
Edited April 2024, when Hojo's age was canonized by the Rebirth Ultimania.

Such an attractive male dancer and model Rhys Kosakowski was born 18 October 1994 in Sydney, Australia. Well known for playing the lead role of Billy Elliot the Musical during its run in his home city of Sydney, in 2007, he has being hailed as one of the most esteemed young male dancers in the industry, largely due to his commitment to constantly push boundaries. I'm delighted to be posting him 🔥

End of Month Update - September
Hello, all!
Here is this month's end-of-month update on Tumblr's top and bottom four films. Remember that you can view the full ranked list of movies that have come up on this blog by clicking here and that you can view last month's end-of-month update by clicking here.
As of today, the top four films with the highest percentage of “yes” votes are:
Tumblr media
Monsters, Inc. (2001) | The Incredibles (2004) | Ratatouille (2007) | Aladdin (1992)
And the bottom four with the lowest percentage of “yes” votes are:
Tumblr media
Babysitting (2014) | The Source (2002) | Advantageous (2015) | My Father and My Son (2005)
The top four movies all remained the same between months, while the bottom four remained the same except for the new addition of The Source (2002).
Currently, The Incredibles (2004) is the still only film to receive absolutely zero “haven’t heard of this” votes!
Also, since it's become a topic of discussion recently, I made a pie chart breaking down all of the genres seen in the 35 movies that received majority "yes" votes. Here it is:
Tumblr media
The top three most popular genres are family (with 21 movies,) adventure (with 18 movies,) and comedy (with 18 movies.) Keep in mind that this chart is based on what Letterboxd defines these movies' genres as, so you might find that you disagree with how certain films are categorized (for instance, the "music" genre describes films that are about music, not necessarily musicals. There is no "musical" genre on Letterboxd.)
Hope everyone has a great October!
