In the Orphic tradition dionysius was first a child of persephone before being reborn to semele. Dionysius later gifts persephone a flower in exchange for his earth mother to live again. I like to think its truly because she loves her son.

Persephone: You know what's confusing about marrying Hades?
Persephone: As a queen, I'm considered a ruler with authority similar to the elder Olympians.
Persephone: But when I speak to the elder Olympians, they shush me because I still belong to the second generation.
Persephone: Like what the fuck???

The Evermore Grimoire: Greek Mythology
Persephone (Περσεφονη meaning ‘Bringer of Death’) was the queen of the underworld and wife of the god Hades (god of the dead) in Greek mythology. She was also the goddess of spring and was worshipped alongside her mother Demeter (goddess of the harvest). When Persephone was playing in a flowery meadow with her Nymph companions, she was kidnapped by Hades and carried off to the underworld as his bride. Her mother despaired at her disappearance and searched for her throughout the world accompanied by Hecate (goddess of magic) bearing torches. When she learned that Zeus (king of the gods) had conspired in her daughter's abduction she was furious, and refused to let the fruits of the earth grow until Persephone was returned. Zeus consented, but before she was released, Hades tricked her into eating six pomegranate seeds, which forced her to return for six months each year. When Demeter and her daughter were together, the earth flourished with vegetation. But for six months each year, when Persephone returned to the underworld, the earth once again became a barren realm.

"Back on Earth, Persephone, goddess of spring, was busy bringing the spring season to Greece. At the moment, she was on a hillside planting flowers and melting any leftover snow from the winter."

Hades: Hey so I have a crush on your daughter and I was wondering how to approach this? Like what kind of flowers does she like? What would her ideal date-
Zeus: Kidnap her.
Hades:
Hades: Um I don’t think-
Zeus: Do it.

I love Our Lady of the Underground, Persephone of Hadestown, but Stray Gods gave us the Persephone we (and Hades) deserve.

After Persephone told me about her last transition, I just assume her hobby is to rescue women from terrible husbands.
