Idk if anyone following me is also interested in fountain pens / fountain pen inks etc etc but my brother bought me these Pilot Iroshizuku inks while he was in Japan and, my guys, I’d heard the hype, but they really are SO smooth and beautiful to use.

The colours are so good and they make all of the pens I’m trying them in feel so nice to write with. Just gliding around the page - DNI if you are wanting dry inks though. These guys are WET!

It’s the Pilot Iroshizuku Momiji, “autumn leaves”.

My bottle is slightly more worse-for-wear than my others, but it’s an absolutely beautiful red ink and writes really smoothly.

29 July.—Another tragedy. Had single watch to-night, as crew too tired to double. When morning watch came on deck could find no one except steersman. Raised outcry, and all came on deck. Thorough search, but no one found. Are now without second mate, and crew in a panic. Mate and I agreed to go armed henceforth and wait for any sign of cause.
