eda and bump were always so similar as rebellious and free spirits, and i feel eda becoming headmaster just completes how much they had/have in common and brings it full circle. i love it so much 😭
Disappointing that camila never got to meet bump onscreen
Luz' principal telling camila about how much of a trouble kid she is was the final straw for her to send luz to the camp, where she could've become "normal" by changing herself
It would've been a full circle if a principal told her how amazing her daughter is,unknowingly reassuring her that she is a fantastic mother who did what she could and it was enough
I’m sorry but I just love how perfect of a loop Eda becoming Headmistress is. Like Bump’s belief in her is one of the things that allowed her to meet Raine, helping her expand her social circle outside of Lily. And we’ve seen from when Luz was first going off to Hexside that she hated the original school system because in a lot of ways it just wasn’t catered to people like her and wasn’t effective! Not to mention how she mentors Luz. And now she gets to do that and help a whole new generation of witches.
And like Lilith who just loves history getting to curate a museum with Hooty who she’s besties with. So Hooty can be a house demon for a whole new place full of people he can meet and talk to. Alador righting his wrongs in helping the Emperor’s coven with his Abomatons by helping undo the coven marks. Hunter getting to carve palisman and Eda’s dad getting to teach someone new.
And just Luz choosing herself. Her whole journey about abandoning the notion she was a chosen one only to choose herself at the end to become Titan Luz.
I JUST REALIZED BUMP GOT HIS COVEN MARK REMOVED AND STARTED TO DO PLANT MAGIC ANNNND IS SHOWING OFF HIS COVEN MARK IS REMOVED BY NOT WEARING HIS SECOND GLOVE; HE’S SO PROUD AND FREE FEELING AND AAAAAAAAAAAA
I love how face reveals in The Owl House don't have this large build up or dramatic music playing. They just happen naturally.
Bump shows his students other benefits of Palismen.
The Golden Guard's mask fell off in a crash.
Belos was alone working on the portal, when someone who's seen him without his mask walks in.
And Steve was defecting from the Emperor's Coven while simultaneously giving a bug a new home.
We're obviously curious as to what these characters look like without their faces obscured and we eventually get rewarded. Not with a close up and a dramatic helmet/mask removal, but by it just happening naturally in the story.
With the reveal in King’s Tide that Eda had an entire gang of friends back in Hexside at some point, and because I’m a sucker for this type of thing, I am once again thinking about how the kids in this show explicitly parallel the group in the first shot, not only contrasting with certain characters but also rising above them and getting farther than the first ones ever could.
