I got some more traditional stuff coming but it takes more time than the pad and also because I can't take it to work. This one is real old. Might redraw it cause Kamata has changed a little and also... I could do better. Though this one isn't all that bad. (The panties are just a digital censor)

Posting this thing i wrote at like 5 am because i’m making it into a short comic.
×
Machines shouldn’t be able to feel, right ?
Inherently devoid of such ability, they are typically perceived as tools. One wouldn’t think of their phone or microwave as sentient, simply mass produced to make human lives easier.
Machines, by their very nature, lack the profound ability to feel.
True sentience necessitates a nervous system, a sufficiently developed brain capable of producing sensations and fostering self-awareness, among other cognitive intricacies.
Emotions, feelings, sensations, all unfamiliar terms for something that could not be more familiar to a human.
“Where were you ? I tried to contact you via the network but there was no signal”, the RK800, Connor, asked its successor as the door sealed shut behind it.
“I had a lead, so i went to investigate myself. Nothing of importance happened”, the RK900 answered. A tingling at the junction of its neck port where the plugged cable connected, he wanted to turn around and look at Connor. He wants?
White. And some blue. The android maintenance room is so white, so bland.
Connor focused on the source of the voice.
The room, clad in its clinical whites, suddenly seemed imbued with color.
The dark cedar of its hair, the black of its shirt, the denim of his jeans, his black shoes, the blue droplets hitting the ground in a soft sound.
‘His’ ?
Drip, drip, drip.
The sound finally registered, RK900 was bleeding, he was hurt. No, he isn’t hurt, we don’t feel pain. Pain was an unfamiliar concept, yet he found himself walking hurriedly towards his successor;
“You’re bleeding. You’re hurt”, he absentmindedly said, his gaze fixed at the source of the leakage. A gunshot wound, he assessed. No exit point but a quick scan told him the bullet had already been extracted.
His successor looked at him, expression as neutral as ever, except for the very slight furrow of his eyebrows, producing a few extra wrinkles. Hurt ? Absurd. I’m a machine, a weapon.
Doubt crept in. The start of something entirely new, a divergence from their shared realm of rationality.
“This is minimal damage, it won’t have any impact on my abilities”, a flash of red from his predecessor. A new color added to the room’s palette. He flashes yellow in response, “Connor, i’m the one damaged yet you seem to be the one malfunctioning.” A quiet question lingered, masked behind a cold attitude. Are you okay?
Instead of answering, Connor closed the distance between them, all the while slipping his hand under his own jacket and reaching for the inner pocket.
With delicate movements and smooth fingers, Connor placed something on the wound.
A bandage…?
“This isn’t of any use”, RK900 stated, his eyes analyzing the absurdity of the action.
In the whispering room, where echoes of machinery softly hum,
A subtle dissonance emanated between two entities.
“I know, but i want take care of you”
A beautiful anomaly being born.

LYLA helped Miles escape Nueva York
Hear me out
- as soon as the Go Home Machine booted up she would have theoretically know about it         -  I’m not sure exactly how integrated she is in the Spider Society system in ATSV but my personal opinion is that she basically runs the place.                 + She has a connection to all of the gizmos in order to send pings and allow them all to communicate
               + constantly scanning for anomalies
+ able to keep track of and record information across dimensions
+ Miguel would want her to be able to have access to basically everything because he has severe FOMO and wants to be in-the-know everything in order to keep a handle on it — and LYLA is the only one he trusts to do it.
- with all that, Miles didn’t Sabotage anything when he returned to the base, he simply booted up the systems, which would immediately alert LYLA
- My Guess is, that since she has such a close relationship with Miguel, she has seen the downward spiral he has been on, and knows that Miles fighting back and not following Miguel’s orders was the final push for him to snap (I have other thoughts about this in regards to both LYLA and Peter B. that I will get into later.
- Because she knows that Miguel has tipped over that edge, and what she is capable of, once she receives the notification that the GHM Is active (after “seeing” the whole chase and, again — theoretically, hearing the conversation between Miguel, Miles, Peter, and Gwen, she makes the decision to help Miles.)            + she does this by letting the program run, letting Miles boot the systems and filling in what he missed in the startup that he didn’t know about, allowing him access to the hand-scan and admin protocols.
- when Margot trying to figure out what was going on, LYLA kept throwing screens in front of her, and distracting her
+ if she is as integrated as I believe she is, she wouldn’t have had to ask “what’s happening” — it would have been simple: ALERT: unknown admin access — no designation (which should have been denied (she’s a super computer, she could make an educated guess that after they all lost track of Miles that the attempted access was him)), SCAN: earth-42 (which, if she is able to access a database of dimensions, like when she was tracking spot, she knows is one with no registered spider-person, which again, educated guess could tell her that Miles (who she knows is from Earth-1610 and who was bit by a spider not from his home dimension)) was the one booting it up.
- with all of that: Miguel knows that Miles’s DNA scan would come up with something other than Earth-1610 (he’s a geneticist in the comics so I’m translating that into him in ATSV, and knows that the scan would be funky with it). While he may not know Exactly what universe Miles’s dna would show, he counts on LYLA to send him wherever the GHM sent Miles when Miguel opens his own portal, and because he is so in-the-moment and pissed, doesn’t double check, ending up in E-1610 where LYLA knows Miles Is Not Currently Located.
Anyway I’m sure I’ve missed some things but these are just some of my Many Thoughts on the subject

this might be a stupid question, sorry in advance. when you perform analysis on a work like homestuck and excavate these levels of, like, racial and social meaning from it, how does it affect your opinion of the work? do you come to like or dislike it more, or have your feelings toward it grown past that over the years into more nebulous things?
i love your blog and your posts, even though i only started homestuck last year and never made it past act 4; when i read your stuff i always learn new things about how one can interact with texts. just got curious about the above after reading your post on caliborn and disability and such. hope you have a good day.
I continue to like the work, in new ways. The feelings evade summary, so here's a few examples:
I lost my initial fervor for classpect ages ago, when it became clear to me that the categories weren't mutually exclusive (depriving the system of majestic power) and that they were not the ultimate key to Homestuck (meaning a new paradigm would be needed to solve the story's remaining mysteries). But I still admire how classpect induces the audience to engage in symbolic reading, proposing this object or that color has an associated abstract significance.
The manifestation system started out just giving me digestible bits of characterization like Egbert being scared of heights, but within a few months it began giving me weirder shit like racist sex dreams. That was difficult to integrate into my impression of what exactly Homestuck was -- for the time, I was satisfied to conclude that Equius was not as much of an anomaly as he was made out to be, and that the comic might be in some measure a commentary on racism. That the racist thoughts seemed to emanate from particular characters, in a game whose modus operandi is making thoughts real, struck me as a distancing maneuver of sufficient strength to rebuff gentle (and not so gentle) suggestions that maybe this all just meant Hussie was racist. Thus when the ARG got posted, instead of joining the outcry against the abundant bigotry I was laser focused on how the alternate-dimension Obama was a surrealist confirmation of racist birther conspiracies. The psychological framing of Sburb had persuaded me to accept the story as a scare quote around "racism" that could be observed at a remove.
I was excited that the manifestation system meant more characterization for Jade, then shocked when it implied she had been raped, then apprehensive of the apparent perpetrator Grandpa's every move, then supremely confused by the revelation that Homestuck's deployment of pejorative tropes meant that all the above had coaxed me into a simulation of satanic panic. Reconciling my sympathy for Jade's suffering with the knowledge that Jake is by some measure an effigy sending out de-fused signals of DANGEROUS HOMOSEXUAL THREATENS THE CHILDREN, it all gives me a headache. The story's ironic scaremongering demands your disengagement, to view the story as artifice, but the suffering of the victim within the bad-faith narrative is nonetheless visceral. Conflicting demands like that make up much of the story for me now: pathos that I once felt and continue to feel, side by side with the need to question the foundations of the sympathy.
It is very rare that anything holds my attention as long as Homestuck has and that in itself is something I'm grateful for. Trying to get a rhetorical foothold on its weird ass games has been my primary motivation for reading new things -- psychoanalytic film criticism, existential philosophy, and academic theorization of assorted bigotries are probably not things I would have delved into were they not connected to the puzzle box. It became my lesson plan for self-study, and it has (slash I have) made me into a better reader in general... or something, idk.
I like the story. That's it for feelings for now

what are your thoughts on Larian walking away from BG3/BG4/DLCs?
What a great question!!
So, first to acknowledge my own feelings as a gamer, as a fan of BG3, of the franchise, and, of course, of Astarion : I'm naturally a bit bummed. I would love to play more, read more, watch something, anything really.
Added to that, I also don't trust an outside team to come in to pick up the vision of the original team. I've seen it happen with other games, where the base game was one studio and the DLC was outsourced or they onboarded a new studio to take on it on as the main development team moved on to the next big project. It rarely, if ever, has worked out well.
My hope on the Hasbro/WotC side is that they leave BG3 alone to live on as a behemoth in the history of gaming... however, knowing how game publishers are, how much money BG3 made, the player interest in more content, etc -- there is no way that Hasbro is leaving money like that to the wayside.
Best case scenario I see on this side: they make auxiliary content, like books, toys, comics.
Worst case scenario: they outsource a new game team for DLC.
As for BG4, I honestly didn't expect that to be Larian's next project anyway (I was expecting Divinity 3, so feeling a different disappointment there haha). That being said, I don't think WotC or Hasbro know (and I mean this at the executive level of course) why BG3 did well. There are honestly a ton of factors on why BG3 did well, but that's for another post lol, but I don't think they could replicate that for BG4 with another studio. Doesn't mean I don't think it will be good-- it might be! It will just be very different.
Best case scenario here: they have a good studio make BG4 and it's still good, but it's different.
Worse case scenario here: they try to have a studio replicate what Larian did instead of tapping into their talents, and end up with a buggy, unfun mess. Also they bring back characters just to try to get people to buy it. 🥲
Now, as a game dev, what do I think of Larian's choice in all of this?
I LOVE IT. Wow, Swen Vincke is doing what every single developer wishes they could do if they actually had the power, money, and the influence to do it.
I have wished in the past for my studios to abandon projects, but sometimes it really was necessary to try to keep the studio afloat. As much as you want to work on a passion project, very rarely is it actually something that will keep the lights on. Oftentimes you will have to make that deal with Hasbro for a license or that deal with Epic for exclusivity just to recoup costs. Making games is expensive and, if you want to make anything at the scale that BG3 is, you usually need a lot of partnerships (a lot of their GDC talks were part of partnerships, like Dolby, Amazon, Adobe).
So the fact that they had such a success with BG3 to actually, comfortably follow their creative passions? Wow, wow, wow-- I am rooting for them so hard. I want them to make exactly the game they want and take all the time they need to do it.
Now, even knowing that Hasbro had something to do with this, was what he said about the developers not feeling passionate about the DLC true? Yeah, probably.
I've never seen something kill creative passion more (even if it's for a franchise you like or a game you've loved working on) than a directive from the top for something that's clearly just meant to make people above you more money. And with each partnership comes approvals, comes red tape, comes stakeholders that want to dictate what's in the game (oftentimes to the detriment of the game)-- and the game team can't even object because it's not their license or their brand.
The fact that Larian can say, 'screw that, I don't need more money from you' is truly such an anomaly in gaming. I am so very in awe of them as a developer-- it feels like someone breaking free of the system and paving the way forward for the rest of us. So whatever they do next, I will be there to support them.
BG3 is their most successful game so far, and I'm hopeful they will continue to push those boundaries. They've proven with each release that the core of their studio remains the same: immersive/massive RPG experiences, community-feedback focused improvements, and a well-balanced studio.
The tldr for all of this: I've loved Larian's choices so far and, while I'm bummed as a player, as a game dev I can't wait to see where this one takes them!

What do you think would happen if the scp foundation found a portal to marvel 616 (comics)
I don't have the energy to respond to this from a worldbuilding perspective; one of these settings is an uncoordinated mishmash of barely-mutually-canon cool ideas thrown together by thousands of writers and fans viewing the same basic ideatic kernels through their respective lenses, and the other is the SCP Foundation.
From a Vibes perspective.... If the crossover were written from the Marvel side of things, structurally it would lend itself to an Exiles plot or a Champions plot (Khan and Morales, not Herc and Ghost Rider.) A one-off glimpse into the mirror darkly, a brief foray into a grim universe in which superheroism was ruthlessly suppressed by the men in black, the joy and wonder of the genre strangled in it's crib. Something in the vein of Ruins by Warren Ellis. The Champions in particular would be good for this because their whole thing is voice-of-the-youth opposition to Authoritarianism and The Man without having the unilateral firepower or social cachet necessary to decisively overthrow the system....yet. This lets you make whatever critique you want to before having them fuck back off to their home dimension, leaving the alternate setting intact for future overuse to the point of being run into the ground Thought Provoking Crossovers.
If the crossover were being written from the SCP side of things (This was a thing for a while, there was a Project Crossover series where people would write SCP crossover fanfic on the main site) The vibes would be significantly different. It would be a story about the SCP foundation stumbling across an Apollyon-class anomaly; A dimension in the clutches of an ongoing metaphysical mutilation of reality to accommodate the endless consequence-free devil-may-care fuckery of a handful of yahoos in tights, at the expense of the 7-billion-and-change people who ontologically Do Not Matter. You'd get some commentary on a world that, for all its focus on justice, freedom and the tenacity of the human spirit, will never be able to escape the gravitational well of the heroes and their soap-opera lives. A good foil for the Foundation, who, despite their ostensible focus on scientific progress and understanding, are also rendered structurally incapable of consistent forward progress by virtue of the medium; after all, mainlist articles that depict the Foundation as having made a significant positive impact are given a lot of their punch by their contrast with the trapped-in-amber status quo depicted in most of the other mainlist articles.

Rep. Andy Kim (D-NJ-03 ) now looks like the overwhelming favorite to be elected the next US senator from New Jersey.
After incumbent Sen. Robert Menendez was indicted on federal corruption charges last September, three-term Rep. Kim announced that he would challenge him in the June 2024 primary. Soon after, New Jersey's first lady Tammy Murphy announced that she would also run for the Menendez seat.
Despite Tammy Murphy's clout and backing from the NJ political machine, Kim has held a solid lead in the polls and was unexpectedly winning endorsements from Democratic organizations in a number of NJ counties.
This month, Menendez anounced he would not compete in the primary. And last weekend Tammy Murphy suspended her campaign. There are still a couple of minor candidates in the primary but Andy Kim is now the clear favorite.
Not only is Andy Kim the likely winner of the primary, his campaign is leading to a reform of an archaic way of listing candidates on New Jersey primary ballots.
So Andy Kim didn’t just win a primary. He might have forced the machine to relinquish its iron grip. And politics just might be viable again in the Garden State. [ ... ] New Jersey has perhaps the most connection in the modern day to the old-line machine politics of the past. Reforms have weakened the power of Tammany Hall and its antecedents virtually everywhere, except in New Jersey. Voters have generally decided that they want to be in control of who represents them, and this simple request has imploded the gilded towers of the presumed deciders in our politics. That’s not to discount the achievement here, though. The combination of a comically corrupt senator and what people clearly saw as a corrupt process to replace him proved too much for the system to bear. But without Kim stepping up, with his profile as an ethical anomaly in the state and a message to run directly against that corruption, to loudly highlight the deficiencies of the system, it probably would have lingered on a while longer. It turns out that running on an actual belief system in politics can defeat the cynicism of a machine.
As for Republicans, the last time a GOP senator was elected from New Jersey, Richard Nixon was busy engaging in the Watergate cover-up.
NJ first lady Tammy Murphy ends Senate campaign, paving way for Andy Kim
In addition to his liberal record on domestic issues, Andy Kim has a strong background in national security and foreign affairs.
Personally, he is virtually the AntiTrump. He is personally modest and ethical. He earned his degrees and was even a Rhodes Scholar. He has respect for the institutions of democracy and for the people who serve them.
The night after the January 6th pro-Trump terrorists rampaged through the US Capitol, Andy Kim helped clean up some of the debris left by MAGA criminals.
Behind the viral photo of Rep. Andy Kim cleaning up at midnight after riots
I haven't been so enthusiastic about a politician since Barack Obama. And it's entirely possible that Andy Kim could be the Barack Obama of 2028; but first we have to defeat Trump this year.

Remember when I lost my beak about the second five year mission and being desperate for content on it?
Well, now this is happening:
"Star Trek is returning to the era of the original Star Trek movie with Star Trek: The Motion Picture -- Echoes, IDW Publishing's upcoming comic book miniseries written by Marc Guggenheim (The CW's Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca).
Tumblr media
The series takes place immediately after the end of the 1979 film, with artwork by Oleg Chudakov and colors by DC Alonso. The series sees Adm. James T. Kirk and his crew battling new and old enemies, all in those iconic Star Trek: The Motion Picture-era Starfleet uniforms.
Tumblr media
IDW Publishing offered a synopsis for the upcoming series:
When a space anomaly thrusts a criminal mastermind — pursued by a very determined pilot on a mission — into our universe, the Enterprise must stop them from unintentionally starting a war with the Romulans and unleashing a superweapon of foreign technology into the system. But things get infinitely more complicated when these newcomers to our reality remove their helmets, revealing that they're doppelgängers of our beloved heroes!"

Issue #1 available in May.

The comic above is drawn in a cute loose style of digital inks and watercolors, all monochrome.
Fictionalization of comic above:
The Starfleet vessel TRUCKEE was under attack by a blobby space anomaly. Drifting in space, the ship is at Red Alert. Crew said “the anomaly is shutting down systems!” and “where is captain bushly?”
Half-Tellurite Doctor Pegi races down a ship’s hallway. Someone calls over conn, “Dr. Pegi can you--”
Pegi says, “I’ll see if she’s still in the holodeck!” while running.
She leans against the holodeck doors to catch her breath. “Huff...huff...open up!” The computer says, “Warning: Safety Controls Unavailable”
The doors open and Pegi leaps in surprise to see the captain bloodied inside the holodeck. “CAPTAIN!!!” cries Pegi.
Pegi cradles the captain, who is dressed like a pretty princess. “Cough...Dr. Pegi...” says Bushly. “Take charge as captain and guide the ship out of the anomaly. Promise me.”
Sadly, Pegi says, “I promise, Captain Bushly.”
“And tell no one I died gored by Sparkles the holographic unicorn. And NEVER mention the princess costume. PROMISE ME!” says Bushly with the last of her strength. A bloody sparkling unicorn grazes nearby contentedly, eating some shredded piece of the captain’s dress.
Even sadder, Pegi says, “I promise, Captain Bushly.”
Outside the holodeck, two guys are waiting. “The holodeck is opening, Chief T’Bonk!” says Commander Mesze, a Betazed.
The chief medical officer, a Vulcan, telepathically says to Mesze “it’s t’bok. still. always.” and Mesze replies, “that isn’t better.”
They speak out loud to Pegi when she emerges carrying Bushly in her arms. “What happened?” asks Mesze. “Does she require healing?” asks T’Bok.
“The safeties failed,” said Pegi. “Captain Bushly was killed. By dragons. FIFTY dragons. Mean ones. Soooo ugly rarrr”

LCU (Loki Cinematic Universe) Rewatch Part Three here we come!
Thor: the Dark World
Oh Gods I forgot how…indescribable this movie is. I have no words. The outfits and settings look so real and the elves look so fake?
Me every time I see Loki: oOmMgGg Hiiiiiiiiiii 😘
“Mother did I make you proud?” And the whole way he handles this scene…How did anyone ever take him seriously - no wonder he went off the rails, that’s his greatest fear
“Do you not feel the gravity of your crimes” ok this is pure speculation but going off of what we know about Loki’s moral and emotional system - he’s capable of remorse and empathy, but he tends to compartmentalize and bury guilt and shame, repress and conceal his true feelings, and rationalize, minimize and justify his actions instead of accepting what he sees as weakness, so yes, I’d imagine that deep down he absolutely fucking feels it. And it don’t feel good.
Loki justifies his imperialism genocide and violence in an imperial genocidal militaristic society but the second he becomes king he decreases military intervention something something (one of the good bits of Ragnarok)
“I don’t enjoy hurting people” But Odin does. And so Loki pretends to.
BOOOOOO Odin no one likes you BOOOOOOO SCREW YOU
oMggg Sif hiiiiiii. Look at her, Thor. LOOK at her! With your eyes! She prettyyyyy
Odin and Thor: talking about Thor’s love life. Loki probably: rocking back in forth in his cell because no one’s ever gonna love him. Another Loki at the same time: chasing his soulmate across spacetime because she pulled a Loki on him and he finds that endearing
The sets and ambiance of Asgard are gorgeous how do I move there
Yet another obscure character I don’t remember, Darcy’s in the comics now I’m so proud, Selvig’s lost his last marble, so have I Selvig, so have I
The weird gravity/time space anomaly/warp thing in that abandoned building actually makes for a fun scene. You cannot change my mind on this. The Aether is pretty creepy though ngl.
Thor and Jane are so cringe together. I love them. They also break my heart
The plot of this movie is really…something
Loki and Frigga’s bond actually makes me teary I know they didn’t have the best relationship it was strained and toxic at times but omg they care about eachother so much I’m getting emotional…she genuinely was the only person Loki truly loved in a healthy way. And he fucking lost her. FUCK
Cut to me relating to Loki so much it makes me physically recoil. I’d get into why but I’m not trauma dumping today.
“I don’t know why Loki helped the dark elf get into the palace”…lol stop lying to yourself you know the reason very well. You have the same resentment and lust for chaos inside you that Loki does…that desperate grief that makes you want to burn down the world that burned you. you know. I see my worst in Loki, and his story gives me hope that I can change. There’s a good chance I will die young (medical shit) and Loki dying young also gives me comfort.
This movie is peak Loki. I just fucking adore the little shit. I just aahfhkjkmng *aggressively squeezes*
Heimdall is underrated
Someone on discord said Frigga autocorrected to Fridged on their phone and Frigga’s dying and that’s all I can think about rip…bruh this scene hits a lot harder after my dad’s death ✌️
HE WASNT EVEN ALLOWED AT HER FUCKING FUNERAL FUCK YOU ODIN DRINK BLEACH!!!!Anyways I forgot how cinematic and heartbreakingly beautiful the funeral was
YOU CAN SEE THE SPARK LEAVE HIS FUCKING EYES IM GONNA FIGHT ODIN IN A DENNYS PARKING LOT. I’m ending on the Loki illusion scene for tonight because it’s 3 am and I’m in emotional distress.
How can anyone watch the illusion scene and the deleted bits and actually believe Loki is a cold hearted psychopath? I have this fucked up headcanon that Loki almost attempted suicide after Frigga’s death and either stopped himself…or Thor showed up right on time. I can’t prove it but I know it’s true by gut instinct.
There’s something so weirdly profound about someone who seeks out death being unkillable. Character who thinks he represents death actually represents life. That’s something the Loki series actually did well. They definitely screwed up his character in places, but I can see the backbone of what they intended. I don’t know how to explain this, but I don’t ship Sylvie with TVA Loki, I ship her with Pre-Ragnarok Loki. Aka, I characterize TVA Loki as closer to OG Loki than he is thus far.
There’s a tiny detail about Loki that makes me go feral. You have to psychoanalyze a little, but Loki doubts his brother even cares about him, so whenever Thor says he feels betrayed and threatens him, Loki smiles. It means Thor cared. It means there’s hope. Negative attention is better than none at all. Disappointment is better than apathy. I wish I didn’t know how he feels.

@chronal-anomaly asked: When Jesse was relearning how to work with his prosthetic arm, did he have any sensory difficulties? Did he ever struggle with gripping things too delicately and having them slip from his grasp, or accidentally denting or cracking something from holding it too tightly? Did he ever lack the temperature sensory input and accidentally hand his flesh hand something scalding or freezing without realizing it was like that? 👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
thank you for feeding me spacy, as always.
i've talked about jesse's arm before, but i've been meaning to elaborate on that hc post so i might as well do that here — answering your questions along the way, probably focusing more on how he handles the thing as opposed to how it works.
so, for starters,
i hc that jesse lost his arm during his blackwatch days. we see that he clearly still has his flesh arm in, not only his blackwatch skin, but also the UPRISING comic — which takes place in london, towards the end of his overwatch career. this would probably lead most to believe it was an incident that happened during his vigilante years — i, however, beg to differ.
losing an arm is HARD. and replacing it with a prosthetic isn't cheap. i personally don't believe jesse would have the resources or support needed for either of those things outside of overwatch. i believe the amputation took place during his tussle in london ( on his little " vacation ", during blackwatch's suspension ), further decommissioning blackwatch as a whole.
now, the reason i'm telling you this, is because i need you to understand that this was what's called a TRAUMATIC AMPUTATION, meaning the arm wasn't surgically removed in a controlled environment. because of this, there was pretty significant damage to certain things like his nervous system, the pending port rejection not helping his case. this would make certain things like controlling the prosthetic and reading the incoming sensory input difficult at times.
in case you don't feel like reading that other hc post: the prosthetic jesse receives from overwatch DOES allow for sensory input, meaning he can register things like, temperature and pressure. and it's pretty good at doing so. HOWEVER, because of the damage caused by the amputation and infections following surgery, the accuracy and reliability varies, typically triggered by things like stress and temperature. but overall, on a good day, he's retained somewhere around 90% of his normal movement abilities and input registration. the most noticeable for him being a slight numbness in his thumb, which gets incredibly worse in the cold, sometimes making it difficult for him to grip things.
he's right handed, so it's not too often he'll use the prosthetic for primary movements, but he's dropped a glass or two over the years because of it. he's also done things like pulled open doors and drawers with incredible force, unable to tell how much power is being used. having more power and force available to him is another thing he had to get used to. in a quick knee-jerk response, it may be difficult for him to judge how much force he's putting into his grip or throw if his focus is not on the arm itself.
but, for the most part, he is typically aware of his abilities.
he's used his unmatched grip strength to crush things like phones and other electronic devices. and, with the added bonus of a prosthetic elbow and bicep, he's definitely thrown overly hefty punches and won quite a few arm wrestling matches.
he also uses his prosthetic to hold his cigars and ash his cigarettes, purposefully to avoid burns and tar left behind by the smoke.
now, because he can still register temperature, it's not often he'll do things like, use the prosthetic to grab a hot plate out of the microwave. it was built like this to not only help AVOID situations like forgetting that his other hand is not metal, but also to help aid in PROTECTING it. the thing's not indestructible, and they didn't want him treating it as such. while it's not necessarily fragile, it still has it's limits, like any machine. but, in more pressing situations, he has used it's higher melting point and stress resistance to his advantage.
but, speaking of damage: because of the way the arm is docked, it's typically all or nothing when it comes to both input and output. if he's not getting any sensory response, his arm is also going to be either limp or locked up, unable to control it ( which one depends on how the arm was disabled — it will go limp when properly disconnected from the base, but it will seize up if it's damaged beyond use while connected ). so he hasn't had the exact scenario occur that you stated above, in passing something hot or cold between hands.
BUT, i will say because of this, there was one time a short in a wire caused jesse to be latched onto the handle of the communal fridge for an hour before someone realized he was missing.

Accidental Captain Piggy
Episode 1: "Fearful Symmetry" (1/2)

The comic is drawn in a cute loose style of monochrome digital ink-and-gouache.
The Starfleet vessel TRUCKEE was under attack by a blobby space anomaly, drifting in space, at Red Alert. Crew members shouted for help over the conns. One said, “The anomaly is shutting down systems!” while another crewman asked, “Where is captain Bushly?”
Half-Tellarite Doctor Pegi raced down a ship’s hallway.
Someone called over the conn, “Dr. Pegi can you–”
Pegi said, “I’ll see if she’s still in the holodeck!” while running. She leaned against the holodeck doors to catch her breath. “Huff…huff…open up!”
The computer said, “Warning: Safety Controls Unavailable”
The doors opened and Pegi leaped in surprise to see the captain bloodied inside the holodeck.
“CAPTAIN!!!” cried Pegi.
Pegi cradled the captain, who was dressed like a pretty princess. “Cough…Dr. Pegi…” said Bushly. “Take charge as captain and guide the ship out of the anomaly. Promise me.”
Sadly, Pegi said, “I promise, Captain Bushly.”
“And tell no one I died gored by Sparkles the holographic unicorn. And NEVER mention the princess costume. PROMISE ME!” said Bushly with the last of her strength. A bloody sparkling unicorn grazed nearby contentedly, eating some shredded piece of the captain’s dress.
Even sadder, Pegi said, “I promise, Captain Bushly.”
Outside the holodeck waited two crewmen. “The holodeck is opening, Chief T’Bonk!” says Commander Mesze, a Betazoid.
The chief medical officer, a Vulcan, telepathically says to Mesze: “It’s T’bok. Still. Always.”
Mesze psychically replied, “That isn’t better.”
They spoke out loud to Pegi when she emerged carrying Bushly in her arms.
“What happened?” asked Mesze.
“Does she require healing?” asked T’Bok.
“The safeties failed,” said Pegi. “Captain Bushly was killed. By dragons. FIFTY dragons. Mean ones. Soooo ugly rarrr”

what would that hatchetfield x homestuck crossover be like btw
I don't quite remember the idea
But
Paradox space isn't the whole multiverse, but a region inside it with defined laws of metaphysics, just as Black and White with all universes connected to it(the laws are drastically different)
Between them is a big void, different from Void of Homestuck or whatever counterpart is in Hatchetfield(I don't remember if emptiness was discussed there). Yes, voids can be very different with different characteristics and this in-between can have a different names, such as Abyss or Ginnungagap.
It's extremely hard to get through it because it technically has no laws, no matter, no anything and thus nothing can keep a solid form
It can be fixed by enough not reality-warping, but reality-defying powers
...
Like helding or BEING Ultimate Truth, not just conductor of Metaphysical Law, but The Law itself
And Lords in Black are all the Laws of Corruption, different aspects of it and thus can have a stable enough domain to cross the Ginnungagap
And from time to time they do(at least try, most of time, Webby won't allow them usually) and find themselves in Paradox Space
And there, they loose most of their powers... Not right wording. Their influence is not enough to warp reality that warps itself back, to redefine laws that have thousands or repairing systems and that always is overseen by being similar to them in terms of power(in other words, if everyone is a super, nobody is) and they fall from high universal level to city level
One day, Tinky sneakes into Paradox Space and began to make fun from destroying stable time in one city of Earth C. It was a huge ass anomaly that affected basically everything slightly connected to the city. Dave couldn't stand the fact that there is some idiot playing with Time believing that this is some Witch that awoken her title powers(it is possible without the game and was shown a few times in comic. It can't warp local-universal physics that much without the game tho) and now tries to revolt against rules of reality not understanding that by breaking them they'd kill everyone. He didn't know, tho, that it wasn't a Witch(bard would be closer, but not enough). The Time itself wasn't the one and only he would use in any spot of Paradox Space, but something different, less mechanical, more fluid, not defined and stable, but chaotic with no set of rules except for will of One behind it.
It would feel good, if the One wasn't so... Terrible. Dave was disgust
And now, Knight tries to adapt to new sword and navigate in Time-Storm to show that prick behind the curtain that nobody fucks with his Time, especially not to harm people.
The fight between weakened trickster-God and warrior-demigod with centuries of practice begins.
They are actually in the stalemate situation and none can win or escape another. That is, until Webby comes and help Dave to beat the shit out of her brother and takes that goat home
TL;DR. Tinky gets into Paradox Space. Meany Horrorterrors weakens him. He fucks with random city. Dave says that he can't fuck with random city. They begin conceptual fight. Webby intervain(is it the right word? Did I even spell it right?) and takes Tinky back to Black and White
