Ideas and feedback welcome. #The core idea behind this AU is that LWJ goes to study with the Yunmeng Jiang sect instead of JC and WWX going to Cloud Recess #But why? Well I imagine Lan Xichen set it up to give LWJ a challenge (more social than skill based) and LWJ rose to it (begrudgingly) #Sort of a 'You've mastered so many Lan techniques but Other Sects have styles that are worth learning.' set up. #Lan Qiren agrees mostly on the basis that...well it's LWJ. Yunmeng Jiang is unruly but LWJ is beyond that riff-raff. He'll rise above it. #This is the story of a boy who thrives on routine and rules spending time in a place that is his apparent antithesis. #Also it is so warm there. He is used to it being cold and what do you MEAN just take off some of my layers? #I just want to see him struggle and flail in many situations. And get him in Jiang Purple. Is that so wrong of me? #(Soaking wet JC is part of my 'JC was born to swim; forced to hold a sword' agenda. I'm sorry, but I'm so happy that the revelation unfolded in exactly this way... Gory, a little disturbing, grotesque but cute. There are lots of things I find touching, whether it's the way Denji is put together like a puzzle, Yoru's willingness to fight CSM under the right conditions, proof that she values her opponent, or the fact that Katana, the last representative of the mafia to dismember CSM, doesn't object (although he does joke about how to place the pieces).

I was honestly afraid of an almost overly dramatic double-page spread for this revelation, or even something too romantic

Because it's all about Denji always trying to show who he was, and now he's just passive, completely unaware of what's going on...

Because there's something more beautiful than having been shown that happened...

there is something sooo fucking good about early seasons ian and mickey, about watching this summer fling turn into something more, the fear that elicited from mickey but him being unable to stop, finding those little moments hidden away and taking all this meaning from small gestures and persevering in dugouts and under bleachers and barely pressed confessions in the back of a church that is soo good for my brain

like i am very glad mickey gets to shout his love for ian from the mountain tops and also beat his love for ian into his dad's face but when he was clenching his teeth shut and his love for ian was coming out regardless ohhhhh baby i was eating
