I feel like we don't talk enough about how Gaz is also a victim of Membrane's neglect and how that affects her sibling rivalry with Dib.
Like, I think because Dib is the deuteragonist of the show and Gaz is a supporting character it's easier to focus on analyzing him and everything going on in his life that influences his maladjusted behavior. But not a lot of people talk as much about why Gaz is the way she is. Why are her main emotions apathy and anger? Why is she the only other kid at skool besides Dib and Zim with no friends to hang out with at lunch or recess? Why are her revenges against Dib over things like cereal and pizza so over-the-top? Why does she purposefully try to destroy all human life and then get mad when it doesn't work?
Some of Gaz's behaviors have a pretty clear-cut cause and effect. She and Dib don't get to spend much time with their dad, so she gets upset when Dib's actions threaten their time together. Dib is also selfish and inconsiderate of Gaz, frequently stealing her food or talking her ear off about stuff she doesn't care about and expecting her to take an interest while never asking about her hobbies.
But I think some of her hostility toward Dib and general sour attitude can also be explained by Membrane's unequal treatment.
I've seen elsewhere that some people think Membrane favors Gaz because she's his "normal" child. He actually respects her gaming hobby and doesn't treat it like a phase she needs to grow out of. He doesn't talk down to her or try to push her into giving up something she loves in order to win his approval. Where Dib is constantly arguing with his dad about the legitimacy of his version of science, he and Gaz seem to have an easy rapport free of that kind of tension.
But is Membrane's behavior toward Gaz really a sign of favoritism, or just a different form of neglect?
The main conflict between Dib and Membrane stems from Membrane wanting Dib to be his successor. In Chickenfoot he specifically calls Dib "the future of the Membrane Empire", against Dib's wishes. In Mopiness of Doom, he and Dib finally bond when Dib decides to temporarily give up paranormal science and assist him with "real science". And supposedly, part of Eric Trueheart's clone Dib concept was that Membrane engineered Dib specifically to carry on his legacy.
But all of this begs the question, where does Gaz fit into Membrane's grand designs? Is she just the spare? She's just as smart, if not smarter than Dib, but we never see any indication that Membrane's trying to push her toward a career in science the way he is with Dib. It's one thing for him to not be bothered about her gaming hobby because it's not "disreputable", but there's no indication that Gaz has anymore interest in becoming a "real" scientist than Dib. So does Membrane just assume that since she's never shown any other ambitions she'll just fall straight down the path that's already been laid out for her, or does he just not care what she does with her life because he's only focused on living vicariously through Dib?
We don't know exactly how Membrane views his kids, but it's easy to see how a little girl might come to some pretty negative conclusions about what her status is in her father's eyes. Even if it's not true, Gaz might very well believe that he favors Dib. That despite Dib rejecting the legacy she was never considered for, despite him constantly getting into trouble and being weird and annoying and embarrassing, and putting his stupid hobbies ahead of their family, their dad doesn't give up on him as a lost cause. Even when he has another perfectly good child who mostly behaves herself and stays out of trouble, would never try to upstage him or ruin an important moment for him, who appreciates what little time they have together and would never jeopardize it by running off to play with some stupid alien, and who's just as smart and capable and not a weirdo paranormal-obsessed freak, Membrane still wants Dib to be his successor and not her.
Not only does this add more layers to her contempt for Dib, it could also explain her apathy and misanthropy. If her dad doesn't care about her, why should she care about anything? If he isn't concerned with her future, why should she concern herself with anything other than the immediate gratification of video games and pizza? Her dad and her brother both think their work is so much more important than spending quality time with her or talking about anything other than their "important work" whenever they're together. They both think they're saving the world, but they're either too blindly optimistic or too egotistical to realize that the slack-jawed idiots populating the planet are beyond salvation. But maybe if there was no humanity left for them to save, no heroic ambitions to fulfill, they'd finally treat her like someone worth paying attention too.

So there was a note under my post about Zim hovering a finger over the self destruct switch on his first day on Earth that just cracked open something in my mind.
Tumblr media
Cause…Oh. Oh hecc you, @murhuedur. You actually touched on like, my favorite thing about this character, period. I really like this take, I do. It’s a good one. I ponder, still,
In my own opinion, it’s actually genuine confidence and arrogance, but Zim’s delusions of grandeur are as a thin rubber band. They can stretch out to wild lengths and remain malleable enough to bend around truth as he wills,
But there’s a hard limit out there eventually, and should reality require him to stretch his cognitive dissonance just too far, it’s a violent snap-back to full clarity. I don’t think he’s faking it or always lying to everyone else about what hot shit he is, because I think he fully believes those lies about as fast as he can speak them, even if he will later realize he was wrong after a cosmic punch to the face.
Like, Zim’s smart, but smart people aren’t inherently rational ones. Within Zim, the tallest, hell, maybe even Skoodge, there’s sometimes this very short-sighted flippancy about what is objectively true/false that peeks out every now and again in their psychology. I mean, humans sometimes do this too when it’s convenient to their interests, just, obviously not to goofy cartoon character levels if they want to function in society.
Zim has whatever this flaw is and cranked up to 11, maybe as a side effect of his PAK defects. Sometimes it gets him into DEEP shit, but it’s also his biggest mental shield. Zim has like no fortitude against spiraling into a full on depression or a justifiable panic attack over the smallest concession of being an absolute failure to his race. That weaponized denial that makes him so dangerous to himself and others also keeps him together and motivated forward. But it’s not largely a conscious lie he’s telling himself. It’s genuine faith he’s trying to manifest into matter through sheer force of his will.
His dogmatic mantra, “I am Zim” and what it means to him is a statement he holds on such conviction it overpowered and hijacked the ego of 3 control brains at once.
If I were inserting him into DnD he’d have the wisdom stat of a stale poptart and a 20+ thrown into charisma. He’s faking it without even understanding he’s faking it.
But were he completely detached from reality, he’d be WAY more likely than even now to accidentally get himself killed. While a narcissistic level of self esteem is what lets him ignore and selectively unhear inconvenient truths, the adrenaline of immediate life or death danger is what grounds him back in the real world. You notice over time that as self-sabotaging as he normally is, he seems to act his most rational and competent when he’s suddenly put against the grindstone and self preservation HAS to jump into the driver’s seat. He basically survives his day to day on a tightrope between a falsely glorious narrative of himself, and his perceptive anxiety both tugging him to land on either side of the fence when something big happens.
In “The Trial”, he wastes very little time on his expected bullshit or his confidence in being able to just win over the approval of his judges.. by virtue of being his awesome self. He spent most of that ordeal on the verge of a heart attack, squirmed to find an escape, and actually tried to DENY causing the death of two Almighty Tallests (reminder that he usually owns up to his atrocities with downright offensive pride). He understood the full gravity of an existence evaluation and how cooked his goose was. As soon as the situation resolves and he’s no longer in that danger, it’s right back to full trust of his status as an invader, and in Red and Purple as his biggest fans. When his disguise starts to slip in front of Skool kids he knows are dumb as a bag of rocks, he can silver tongue his way around that without skipping a beat. Losing his disguise in front of a bunch of alien-obsessed adults? Uh oh, pants-shitting terror, this is potentially game-over levels of bad, immediately gtfo of here. Stand there, chest beat, and scold the obviously rogue duty-mode Gir all day until the second it actually tries to kill you and you suddenly have to realize you’re not the one holding the cards anymore to save your own life.
The other way this quirk of his really shows through is in his selective memory. Zim has this skill to repress down and push away unpleasant experiences that I think some of us can only dream we had. I love it because it’s equal parts a comedic and analytical goldmine.
Tumblr media
Tak, who actually posed a legit threat to his entire mission and tried herself to chip through that massive wall of denial he’s shielded in- same Tak who’s powerful af ship was stolen and desecrated by Zim’s arch nemesis… she’s not just an afterthought in his mind after that mess. He’s literally pushed that one out of his thoughts altogether in the comics. Like she, and Skoodge, who he can’t fucking stand, might as well have never even existed, even while GIR’s trying to remind him. That time he played around with time travel and it was one of the biggest clusterfucks he quickly lost control of? The bologna incident he stooped so low as to ask dib to help him with? You must be thinking of someone else. Nope. Not a thing. Lalala, can’t even hear you. This is also what makes it no wonder he deeply struggles with actually learning from certain mistakes.
Tumblr media
From an outsider’s eye this behavior of his is baffling. It makes him look actually insane or at least obnoxiously obstinate. And I think both assumptions are half right, because this is clearly not the result of mere stupidity. Those truths are simply wayyyy too discordant with his view of himself to devote surface memory to, or too uncomfortable, unless and until, of course, you confront him with them in a fashion where that rubber band has to snap, that bubble pops, and he instantly sobers out of that complacency.
youtube
Literally god forbid he ever stops being defective in this way or is given the ability to reckon with the reality of his situation and his history all at once. I’m not even just talking about his job or banishment. I’m talking about his entire life. This chaotic, flexible, incoherent mindstate is the only branch he’s holding onto from dropping into a much more horrifying chasm beneath himself, the depth of which we can only guess. I straight up have no idea what he would do or what could happen to him if he could, even for a moment, rationally comprehend his every action, memory, and empirical truth all at the same time. Seriously, leave that Pak’s Gordian Knot be, or I imagine there could be an HP Lovecraft type of breakdown in the making.
#By the way this is probably one of the most important differences between him and Dib, and what makes Zib so… way he is.

Okay, since no one seems to be really doing it, I'll just do it myself (/j). Here are a few fun facts/events that happen in the Professor Memfake Au!
I feel as if I forgotten to mention this, so I am sorry about that, but despite this au taking place before Enter the Florpus, all characters do have their designs from the movie instead of the show!
Professor Memfake (yes, that's his official name according to Zim, though oftentimes he's referred to as Professor Membrane as no one really knows that he's a clone) is infact aware of the fact that he's a clone! Though he doesn't really care about that fact, as he still considers himself everything that Professor Membrane is, like the smartest man on earth and Dib's and Gaz's father.
No, Zim didn't kill Professor Membrane once he was finished with his clone. One, because if something was to happen to the clone, he'd just be able to easily make another. Two, he knows that if he did, then Dib truly wouldn't hesitate to hurt him in every way possible if/when he found out, so he'd rather not take his chances. The reason that Professor Membrane hasn't escaped or tried to is because Zim convinced him that he was in a coma and was currently dreaming, and that since Zim was the last person he saw when he was awake, he could only see him at the moment.
The event that ended up reaaaally triggering Gaz in a way where she knew that 100% something was up with their dad was the day after Professor Memfake had officially taken Professor Membrane's place while he was still kidnapped. Dib had gotten in trouble at skool for something that Zim did, and since everyone has deemed Dib as insane, they instantly blamed him with zero evidence against him. They called Professor Memfake up to the skool, and explained everything about the situation once he got there. Now normally, Professor Membrane would take the teachers side without further questions asked. So imagine everyone who was in the room surprise when instead, he started yelling and berating the principal and teachers for their lack of evidence against his son. Then, to top all their confusion, surprise and fear off, he proceeded to not only take Dib home for the day, but also Gaz, as he "didn't want another one of his children to end up going through this as well!!" Now, not only does Professor Membrane rarely take either of them home unless something is really bad, but if he needs to take one for them home, he never just automatically takes the other one as well, which Gaz quickly recognized as a red flag. While Dib is grabbing his stuff from his locker or whatever, and Gaz and Professor Memfake are alone for a moment, she decided to ask him what had happened to cause him to take them both home early. He answered by saying (or rather, ranting) that they were accusing Dib without reason and expected him to believe them. Now, here is the sentence that really caused Gaz's suspensions about something not being right about her dad to be now 100% true. "Not only that, but they DARED to call my son and your brother insane! Why, I had to let them know that he was anything but that! It's just not scientifically possible!!"
Small bonus to the above, Dib proceeded to cling onto Professor Memfake for the rest of the day, think like his arms and legs wrapped around Professor Memfake's arm or leg. It wasn't like Professor Memfake minded it though, he actually quite enjoyed his son wanting to be as close as scientifically possible to him!

Exposing Scientific Dogmas: Rupert Sheldrake's Banned TED Talk
The talk was reshared again in a video by the YouTube channel "After Skool." It was based on his book The Science Delusion.
Here are the 10 Scientific Dogmas he listed (which could prevent science from greater discoveries and true scientific thinking since they create the default worldview of people worldwide):
#1 Nature is mechanical
#2 Matter is unconscious
#3 The laws of nature are fixed
#4 The total amount of matter and energy is always the same
#5 Nature is purposeless
#6 Biological hereditary is material
#7 Memories are stored inside your brain as material traces
#8 Your mind is inside your head
#9 Psychic phenomena like telepathy are impossible
#10 Mechanistic medicine is the only kind that really works

(Could u make the reader female?) Could you like make a story about dib being a nerdy guy who was considered the weird kid in hi-skool and reader is like one of the popular kids. Dib is friends with reader brother. he goes over to his friends house but then realizes that his friend is the brother of the reader, and now he becomes best friends with the readers' brother and he cant believe believe that he's at the house of the popular girl. But then he somehow got left alone with the reader in the kitchen, and they flirt with each other. Maybe have a kiss? 👀💓✨️ Thank you 🫶
Here have this ice cream! :3 🍦
I love this request! Sorry if it’s a little out of character (and long 💀)
Fandom: Invader Zim
Warnings: None!
Popular female reader x Dib Membrane
Y/n sat up straighter in her spot at the lunch table as she and her friends all spoke about the latest drama. The lunch room was loud, it always was, and Y/n and her friends didn’t particularly help. It wasn’t like it was her fault that she got louder when excited, this was the only period she had with some of her friends!
“Y/n!” A familiar voice called, and Y/n turned to see non other than M/n (M/n just means male name btw, for the people who might not have brothers). Y/n excused herself to her friends and stood up, walking to where M/n was sitting with his own friends.
“Y/n, dude, the lunch lady was totally eyeing your table. You gotta be more quiet before you get a lunch detention.” M/n half joked as Y/n made herself comfortable in the lunch seat table next to him. Y/n rolled her eyes. It was true, though. The teachers had been handing out detentions like candy ever since some new school rule was placed.
“I’m not worried. Besides, what’s one lunch detention? You’ve had, like, five actual ones.” Y/n shot back with a laugh, M/n dismissing the comment with a shake of his head.
A black haired boy sat down across from M/n, startling Y/n slightly. The boy adjusted his glasses as he lifted his head, seeming to notice Y/n. There was a noticeably awkward pause as the boy and her made eye contact. He was familiar. Someone she’d passed in the hall? A classmate? It was hard to remember where exactly she’d seen that face. Y/n could feel her face heating up, this was wayyy too awkward for her taste. Y/n quickly turned back to M/n, her words jumbled as she said something about seeing him when she got home before speed walking back to her normal table.
Time skip to at home lol
M/n busted into the house, tossing his bag to the ground near the door before walking up to where Y/n was seated contently on the couch.
“I got Dib coming over. Don’t make it awkward like you did at lunch.” M/n said, hands on his hips as he looked down at Y/n.
“Dib? Really? That was the kids name?” Y/n teased, chuckling before quickly adding, “I guess it’s better than M/n.” M/n frowned, grabbed his bag off the floor, and walked over the front window to wait for his friend.
Y/n wasn’t sure how long it took until someone rung the doorbell, she had truthfully forgotten someone was coming over. M/n had fled to his room a while ago, lying that he was going to clean it. Y/n lifted her head and looked back at M/n’s bedroom door. He must’ve not heard the door. She scoffed and got up off the couch, dragging herself to the front door.
Opening the door, it felt like Y/n was back at the lunch room again. Those big, widened eyes staring at her like she was some kind of alien. The boy, Dib as M/n had called him, seemed to shrink down slightly in her presence. She did the opposite, and straightened up.
“Hello! M/n’s in his room. I’ll get you something to drink.” Y/n said, making some type on excuse to get away from Dib and get her thoughts in order. Dib blinked and nodded along with her words, stepping inside and closing the front door before awkwardly following her to the kitchen. Y/n shoved her hand to the back of the fridge and felt around for a juice box she was sure she had hidden there. Sure enough, it seemed M/n hadn’t found it, and she pulled it out. She stared at the juice in her hand momentarily. No way she was going to give this loser the juice she’d been saving, what was she doing?
With reluctance, Y/n shut the fridge and slid the juice box across the counter in Dib’s direction. He took it with a muttered thanks. Truly a waste of a good juice.
Getting a better look at him, Dib didn’t look half bad. Y/n played with the hem on her shirt. He was cute. She’d admit it. Maybe not willingly, but nonetheless. His hair looked healthy for a teenage boy’s and framed his face nicely, and although he looked like a nerd with those glasses of his, he managed to look handsome too. He was the type of boy Y/n’s friends either picked on or wanted for their first kiss. First kiss. Most of Y/n’s friends had theirs by now. Y/n hadn’t, and by the looks of Dib, neither had he.
“I didn’t know you were friends with M/n.” Y/n said, mostly trying to fill in the silence as she waited for M/n to come and take away his friend. Truthfully, Y/n hadn’t even known Dib existed before today. Dib nodded slightly, putting the now empty juice box back on the counter.
“Uh, yeah. We met online and found out we went to the same high school and then… well, now we hang out.” He explained, adjusting his glasses. Y/n nodded to let him know she was paying attention. She wasn’t actually, but he didn’t need to know that. Y/n noticed Dib’s pale face beginning to redden at the same she realized she’d been staring.
“What’s wrong? Pretty girls make you nervous?” Y/n teased, giggling slightly. Ah, it felt nice to playfully tease someone again, all that awkwardness was starting to get to Y/n.
“Something like that..” Dib said, shifting slightly in his stance. Okay, now it just felt like flirting. Wait, was Y/n actually flirting?? She tried not to get too excited, but the thought of her getting her first kiss was heavy on her mind.
“Well maybe you should come here, I’m sure I look better up close.” Y/n said, taking a step towards Dib’s eyes widened slightly as if he was trying to figure out if she was serious. He slowly came closer. It was hard to tell whether or not he was actually as tall as Y/n, or if that was just him having bad posture. Either way, both Dib and Y/n were blushing at the close proximity.
Both Y/n and Dib were startled as they heard a door opening. Bad timing was typical for M/n. Dib turned slightly towards the noise and Y/n contemplated kissing him on the cheek, but then quickly decided that might be weird and stepped back. M/n entered the kitchen and saw Dib first, still blushing and frozen from the short lived moment. Y/n stepped around him and waved slightly to Dib from behind M/n’s back as she headed to her own room. Seemed her first kiss would have to wait.
(I’m pretty bad at writing people flirting but I also think it fits that they’re kinda awkward since they’re in high school)

The other day I was using OpenAI and I gave it one prompt:
“Write some ideas for a fake Invader Zim episode. You can include characters such as Zim, GIR, Dib, Tak, Gaz, the Tallest and any other Invader Zim characters, but are not required to do so. (include a name and a short summary).”
I cataloged my favourite results and I’m putting them all here for your enjoyment.
“In an alternate universe, Zim is a good guy and Dib is the evil one. The two come to our universe and chaos ensues.”
I just like this idea. A good Zim teaming up with our Dib while our Zim teams up with an evil version of Dib. Or maybe they don’t meet until the end and you have Zim and Dib confusing their alternate universe counterparts for each other, and vice versa. There’s plenty of possibilities.
“Tak successfully takes over the school while Zim is in detention.”
I. Adore. This. Idea. Tak returning and managing to take over the school (presumably as Dib attempts to stop/dethrone her) while Zim has his own adventure trying to escape the underground classrooms or whatever the skool uses as a detention is a great idea. Plus, in my opinion this sort of thing would make for a great way to show Tak’s return, while keeping the fact that she’s more dangerous and capable than Zim is, successfully doing something that he can’t.
It also gave me the idea of Tak using her holographic disguise to look like Zim, so Dib has no idea that Zim is in detention right up until near the climax of the episode, where Tak reveals herself. All he knows is that Zim suddenly became more competent (and suddenly gained a slightly different voice with a British accent? Oh well, must be an alien thing).
“Zim attempts to create an army of robot clones of himself, but they all malfunction and turn against him.”
I like to think that the robots don’t really malfunction, it’s just that Zim is so egotistical and prideful that all his clones believe that THEY should be the ones taking over Earth, leading to a Zim civil war. The Tallest check in midway through, see a whole bunch of Zims and have a mental breakdown on the spot.
“Zim creates a giant robot version of GIR that goes out of control and starts destroying everything in sight.”
Giant insane robot wreaks downtown area, steals entire taco place, more at 9.
“Zim and GIR accidentally watch an episode of a children's show called "Barney and Friends." They are both horrified by the experience.”
The AI actually recommended this one several times. I don’t know. It’s just funny to me.
“"The Dibbuk”” - Dib believes he's being haunted by a demon, but it turns out to be GIR in disguise.”
I’m not kidding when I say that I spent nearly an hour trying to figure out what the title the AI made is referencing. I believe it’s either a horror movie or a horror monster, but I can’t figure it out. The closest thing I found was “Nanook”, which is an important figure in Inuit mythology, and “the Babadook”, which is a horror movie from 2014, but neither of these are even remotely close.
That being said, I like this idea. Dib being terrorized by Gir while thinking that he’s being haunted, possibly even actively trying to seek out and capture“the demon” that’s haunting him because it’s proof of the paranormal. It could work.
Edit: It has come to my attention mid-writing this post, that the episode title is most likely a reference to the “Dybbuk”, which is a spirit from Jewish mythology. So that’s one mystery solved.
“"The Trial of Zim"”: Zim is put on trial for his crimes against the Irken Empire.”
This is just The Trial. The AI, all by itself, came up with the idea of The Trial. It even gave it the same name, just putting “of Zim” at the end. Cool.
“"Day of the Dove"” - Zim and his classmates must put on a school play, but Zim's true intentions are to use the play as a way to take over the world.”
This seems like it could be an actual episode similar to Voting Of The Doomed or Lice. The title is very intriguing to me as well. It’s about a school play, so why is it called “Day of the Dove”? What do doves have to do with this? I want to see this episode.
“"The Great Zim Escape"” - Zim attempts to escape the confines of his base, but is thwarted at every turn by GIR.”
This is just an interesting concept to me. Zim attempting to leave his base for whatever reason as Gir stops him. You could go the obvious route and have Zim as the main focus of the episode with Gir as the antagonist, but that’s been done twice before in canon. So may I present to you; Gir as the main focus as he tries to keep Zim inside and Zim as the antagonist as he tries to leave. A switch in the dynamics. Maybe Zim is sick with some alien disease or has some sort of PAK damage and needs to stay confined to his base for a while, but he refuses to stay inside when there’s invading to be done and Dibs to be destroyed, so it’s up to Gir and Zim’s computer to keep him there.
Plus I just find the idea of Zim being repeatedly defeated by Gir of all people pretty funny.
“"Zim's Day Off"” - Zim is given a day off from his duties, but quickly becomes bored and stir crazy.””
This one seems pretty in character to me. Zim doesn’t strike me as the kind of person to take breaks or days off, so an episode where he actually gets that and quickly realizes that he has nothing to do when he’s not scheming or fighting with Dib could work, with only one condition….
“"GIR's Day Off"” - GIR is given a day off from his duties, and causes havoc wherever he goes.
….and that condition is that GIR's Day Off happens at the exact same time and the two of them are allowed to bounce off each other. Zim slowly losing his mind from boredom as Gir makes the most out of everything and never runs out of things to do, causing chaos in his wake.
“"Zim has a Mental Breakdown"”
The AI didn’t give me a description this time, but that doesn’t matter. The title is all I need.
“"Day of the Pigs": Zim turns all of humanity into pigs.”
I could honestly see this happening in canon.
“"The Return of Tak: The Hideous New Girl": Tak comes back to Earth, seeking revenge on Zim. She quickly discovers that he's not as easy to defeat as she thought.”
Tak returning, now wanting Zim dead instead of just wanting his mission is a concept that is often explored by fans, and I am a fan of it. And I love the idea of Tak returning to earth with the intentions of killing Zim, only to quickly discover that the Tallest decided to send him here instead of just killing him for good reason. He’s nearly impossible to kill and can be pretty darn competent when he needs to be.
I can see Tak starting out with the mindset that Zim is a complete idiot. He’s so delusional that he still believes that he’s an invader, he only managed to defeat her because Mimi broke, etc. She chalks up his surviving of her assassination attempts to dumb luck.
And throughout the episode she is slowly forced to realize that Zim is just a tad more complicated than everyone believes he is. He’s an idiot, and yet he’s intelligent and capable of manipulating things surprisingly well. He’s a food service drone that believes he’s an invader, but he still has military training, more than Tak actually has considering that she never even became an elite soldier, while Zim not only became an elite, but rose above that rank to become an invader. He lacks any common sense, but he’s a former scientist, and has been studying earth since he first landed, knowing more about earth’s climate and structure than her own computer since earth isn’t a planet in the irken database. Not to mention the regular scientific knowledge he has access to. Tak would have never guessed that earth paste was an effective way of protecting oneself from earth’s water, but Zim figured that out and uses it to his advantage.
In other words, Zim is a much stronger adversary than she previously thought.
I can also see the two of them fighting in a rainstorm, with both of them staying under any cover they see to protect themselves from the rain as they fight. Then, Tak manages to kick Zim straight into the torrential downpour, and celebrates, knowing that the acidic rain will kill him in a matter of seconds.
And then Zim casually gets up and walks, not runs, but walks through a downpour of what is essentially burning acid to him, and rejoins the fight, showing no signs of pain from the rain. Tak is absolutely horrified, having no way of knowing about Zim’s paste-waterproofing.
“"The True Origin of GIR"”: GIR's true origins are revealed.”
GIR. LORE. EPISODE. I need this. Zim got a lore episode in the form of The Trial, Dib got a whole movie in the form of Enter The Florpus, Gir needs his own lore episode. We’ll finally get to know how he ended up in that trash bin in The Nightmare Begins.
“Zim hatches a diabolical plan to take over the school by disguising himself as the new principal.”
Once again, I could see this happening in canon.
“"The Valentine's Day Massacre": Zim declares war on love, determined to destroy Valentine's Day once and for all.”
Local aroace declares war on the entire concept of Valentine’s Day, single handily crushes the dreams of all zadr shippers, more at 11.
“The Tallest have a secret meeting where they discuss getting rid of Zim.”
I can see this episode as a clip show of sorts, showing many, many failed attempts at killing Zim that could have been possible episodes, but were scrapped for whatever reason.
"Zim Becomes A Meme"
No description was given, and no description was needed.
“"The Great Gazelle Caper" - Zim and GIR team up to steal a valuable diamond from a rival invader.”
A good concept. I can see Zim coming up with a plan that could range anywhere from “every tiny detail is planned out” to “just grab the thing and run” and Gir managing to throw several dozen wrenches into said plan, regardless of what it is.
If I saw an episode like this, I’d want to see Zim come up with a completely Jack-Sparrow-esc plan where no one is really sure if he’s making it up as he goes along or somehow planned every second, including the setbacks. Not even the audience knows for sure.
Plus that “rival invader” could be anyone. Tak is the most obvious person since they fit the description of “rival invader” to a tee, but it’s vague enough to be anyone.
““Zim Doesn’t Conquer the Earth": Zim wakes up to find that Earth has been conquered by another alien race while he slept. He must now try to take back the planet and defeat the new invaders.”
I adore this idea. Zim being the one trying to save the earth from a completely different alien race is the best thing I’ve heard all day. I don’t even have anything else to say. Just take my money and make this into an episode.
“"The Missing GIR": GIR goes missing and Zim must find him. He eventually discovers that GIR has been taken captive by a group of humans who want to study him.”
I think this concept was almost done in the actual show. That being said, I’d like to see this. We might even get to see character development with Zim viewing Gir as more than just a minion and acknowledging that, throwing himself and his mission into danger to rescue Gir.
“Zim is having a hard time choosing which human disguise to wear and ends up going through several before finally deciding on one.”
I just think seeing Zim in different disguises would be neat. That’s all. That’s my entire reasoning here.
“Zim and GIR are sent on a mission to retrieve a powerful artifact for the Tallest, but they are not the only ones after it.”
Interstellar road trip babyyyyyyyyy! As for the others who are after the artifact, it’s vague enough for it to be anyone. Could be Dib, could be Tak, could be someone completely different that we’ve never seen before, could be everyone at once in a giant race. The possibilities are endless.

You know what? Age regressor Zim headcanons
-The first time he involuntarily regressed was after a particularly nasty call with the Tallest about his PAK, which hadn’t been able to heal an injury. He’d just cried himself into littlespace and it was a hassle to calm him down.
-He tends to slip under stress or panic, though he never really wants to. Unfortunately, this has led to regression in less than ideal places (he had to get sent home from skool many times).
-While in littlespace, Zim retains a lot more of his natural curiosity and loving nature, though he is still rather loud. Though, since his regression is mainly involuntary, he is usually timid and scared.
-He has the habit of not only chewing on everything, but is also a lot more emotionally sensitive. When he gets too upset, he’ll resort to hurting himself (e.i; clawing at his skin and hitting his head against objects) and has to be put in control mitts (two pairs, as the Computer found out the hard way that Zim’s claws easily rip through one).
-His main caregivers are the Computer and GIR (he knows a lot about babies, though nothing about smeets, so he’s a bit useless). Minimoose legally isn’t allowed to be left with children.
-It was found out that when Zim was regressed, he usually did so before reaching the age smeets are potty trained. This was also found out the hard way, and on days where he’s not regressed but there is still a possibility, pull-ups are needed (mainly to spare his dignity)
-He still despises Floopsy Bloops Schmoopsy, but really enjoys Professor Membrane’s program for kids.
-He believes that invaders are never supposed to take off their uniforms (which is not true, but this is Zim we’re talking about), but when he’s little, tight clothes really bother him. The Computer bought onesies and pajama sets for that exact reason, as well as regular clothes.
-They found out human baby food was actually compatible with Irken anatomy and took full advantage of it.
-One of the only things that can almost 100% guaranteed get him out of littlespace are calls from the Tallest.
-If he needs to not slip, he’ll just fight against the headspace, which…rarely works.
-A ‘cue’ to know if he’s slipping is a quieter tone, nicknames used for the people around him, or just going completely non-verbal.
That’s all I have for now! I might add some more, as I am really digging this idea, but for now that’s all I can think of! Have a nice day!
