Alina tracing Genya's scars every opportunity she gets because she knows Genya still feels the pain and it soothes her.

Zoya commissioning a specific kefta for Genya that tightens around her torso and one of her arms, because the pressure eases some of the pain.

Genya with a cane. That's it, that's the bullet point

Both Alina and Zoya taking time off of their duties (post-ROW) when Genya's having a serious pain flare up, so they can care for her.

Genya constantly tries to power through her pain, even when what she needs is rest, because she's not ruined damnit! Maybe 3 in 10 times, Alina can convince her to stop, at least for an hour, but the other 7...Genya refuses to listen.

It's at that point that Alina calls in Zoya to talk sense into Genya. Zoya attempts to gently talk Genya into resting, but usually that ends in Zoya literally dragging Genya by the hand to Genya's room and ordering whoever's closest to cancel all of Gen's work for the day

Both Alina and Zoya giving Genya massages. Because pain makes you tense, so when Genya's pain is really bad, all the worst scarred places tense up. Zoya massages her back and shoulders, while Alina will gently massage her arms, hands and head

Said massages don't get rid of the pain, but they do practically turn Genya into a puddle. She usually ends up falling asleep during them. Alina and Zoya usually just smile at each other fondly when that happens

Zoya flops onto her bed with an exhausted groan.

Don't get her wrong, she like training the newer Squallers, she does, they're just...so tiring. They're so excited to finally start combat training that they don't bother listening to the basics, and then Zoya has to spend an hour re-teching them how to just summon the wind to them. And now, she only has an hour to rest before she has that meeting with the rest of the triumvirate and Nikolai.

So yeah, safe to say she's had a tiring morning.

So when she hears a knock at her door, she's fully ready to tell whoever it is to fuck off.

"Zoya? It's just me"

...okay, maybe not when the person is Genya.

"Come in"

She hears the door open, hears Genya's soft huff of a laugh as she notes Zoya's position, hears the door close again and then feels the bed dip beside her.

"Are you alright?" Genya asks softly, but clearly amused, as she gently runs a hand through Zoya's hair.

"Just tired" Zoya mumbles, not lifting her head from her pillow. "...I didn't miss the meeting or something, did I?"

"No darling, you didn't" Genya assures, chuckling slightly, "I just heard you had some particularly annoying trainees today and wanted to see if you were okay."

"I'm fine" Zoya sighs, rolling over to look up at her girlfriend, "just...frustrated and tired and really not looking forward to the meeting."

"I could ask Nikolai to postpone it?"

"You don't need to do that. Just...stay with me for a while?"

Genya smiles and nods, lightly brushing her thumb over Zoya's cheek. Zoya closes her eyes with a content hum.

"You're beautiful, you know that?"

"Coming from the first Tailor? I take it as the highest compliment"

Genya chuckles again and bends down to kiss Zoya's forehead. "Get some rest. I'll wake you up when we have to go."

"Genya?"

"Hm?"

"I love you."

"I love you too."
