Idk if a single other person will get this post but. Like I'm in my School Spirits obsession currently right. And then I saw some anderperry art that sent me down a little dps reblog spree and and I was just like. Looking at the posts. And all of a sudden my brain just clicked the two together. i watched dead poets society for the first time when i was around 12? and i can’t stress enough about how much this movie influenced and changed me

this movie made me want to be an artist. before that i don’t remember what “i wanted to be when older” but after that i remember the aspirations i had were of being an actress, a writer or a painter. currently im dedicating my life to dancing.

when i watched that movie for the first time, Neil character deeply inspired me. yes, the ending of the movie was devastating but i never thought of it as discouraging. as an pre-teenager discovering myself and the world when i watched the movie i never thought “it’s not worth it, it’s gonna end bad”. that’s never what the movie transmitted me. of course, i was not clever enough to understand what the ending meant (never being able to change the system), but even tho, i could have easily felt discouraged by how they fail, how their attempts of seizing the day ended so horribly.

instead, what this movie transmitted to me was that these boys were alive, specially seeing Neil being so driven by his passion made me feel jealous. i wanted to be so passionate too. i wanted to try to be reckless too. of course, my life didn’t turn into a movie drama. i was a pretty average teenager. but it was clear for me since that age that i was going to do what made me happy and live for my passion.

to be honest, maybe even if i didn’t watch the movie i would still be an artist. i don’t imagine my life going any other way. but the excitement i felt when i first saw the movie definitely planted a seed in my soul.

hi! i’m doing this in case anyone was wondering who is this bagpipe person who writes every two months about too many people.

i’m a spanish 23 year-old girl (woman? idk), with too much anxiety and adhd to handle. infp/enfp on a good day, gryffindor, and still waiting to be claimed as a daughter of apollo, i love reading and watching tv and movies, formula 1 as of recently, and though english isn’t my first language, i’ve been bilingual for the majority of my life. college and screenwriting graduate, and publishing student too. i drink too much coffee for my own good, but i just love it.

when i say multifandom, i do mean it. harry potter/marauders, star wars, marvel, percy jackson/heroes of olympus, narnia, merlin, stranger things, disney/pixar, formula 1, bridgerton, shadow and bone… i could do this all day *wink*

my username? i have no idea where it came from, but just go with it. i do was severely depressed at the time i created this account, and have been lurking in the shadows for years, but it was last year (2022) that i finally took the step and posted silver, my first fanfic in years, about none other than prince caspian himself.

my *current* icon is neil perry from dead poets society, even though i'm a raging todd anderson, but neil deserved so much better and without him there would be no society. my banner is the view from the mystery shack from gravity falls :) (this will probably change at some point, btw).

i wish i was a lot more proficient with computers so i could have the coolest blog ever but this is all i can work with. i procrastinate way too much and again, my adhd prevents me from being consistent, but writing is my source of happiness and sharing it with you still fills me with anxiety, but i love reading your comments and reviews. bipolar & bpd with a side of adhd neil perry headcanons

when he's manic he gets the urge to start so many projects

he rarely actually starts them and when he does start them he quits five minutes in

the only projects he finishes are the ones hes extremely passionate about

one time when he was manic he memorized his current script in 48 hours

he got like four hours of sleep in those two days

usually when he's manic and has the urge to do projects his executive dysfunction gets in the way

when he's in a depressive episode he usually lays in bed

usually when he's in this state there's not much that can help

but todd always sits with him and reads either one of neil's favourite plays or one of his own poems

when neil is in between episodes his mood is all over the place

he could be extremely happy one minute and then suddenly at the mildest inconvenience he's suddenly extremely sad

meeks memorized a bunch of neil's favourite plays and poems and recites them when he notices neil is getting sad

when neil starts going from thinking his friends are the best to thinking they're the worst (splitting) he always tries to control his thoughts and actions

he tries to distance himself from them while he's feeling angry

the other poets notice when he starts getting distant and have learned it's best to just let him come to them

sometimes when he distances himself the poets take turns leaving notes in his books and pockets just saying how much they love him

sometimes on his bad days he can't control his anger as well as he wants to and he gets mad at the poets for small things

sometimes on these days he gets into a fight with one or multiple of the poets

it usually is over tiny things and after a while (could be hours or could be days) when he's calmed down he tries his best to apologise

the poets know about his bipolar disorder and bpd but they don't let him use that as an excuse and neil doesn't either

he always owns up to what he does in his bad moments and tries to make it right

i'm a sagittarius with a virgo moon and an enfp. my hogwarts house is ravenclaw/gryffindor and i'm a 4w5.

i like to dress alt, with maybe a little cottagecore. my go-to outfits are usually things like baggy jeans and tight crop tops. i have adhd so i can't really wear certain stuff because of sensory issues.

i would describe myself as observant, fun, genuine, confident and honest. i can be pretty blunt about my opinions which can throw people off. i'm an introverted extrovert and my mood is heavily influenced by other peoples. i'm kinda sensitive and i can pick up on small mood changes from other people. this means that i have pretty big mood swings lol. i prefer talking to listening and i'm an idealist - i'd also say i come across as feminine in terms of vibes.

i love thinking about different possibilities and trying to predict the future - i also like talking about fiction & books, especially old classics.
