This mysterious creature is a large Leptocephalus, a not-often-seen eel in its larval stage. 😁 have you ever seen an adult ribbon eel before? 🌈 It was filmed by Barry Haythorne and Rob Rutgers while they were scuba diving in Bali. 🙌 You can see through them because their bodies are radically compressed and their organs and muscles vastly reduced. 👀 They possess a simple tube gut (the stripe down the middle) and their pane-like bodies are filled with a clear gel. The gel contains glucosaminoglycan (GAG) compounds that will be transformed into adult tissue during metamorphosis. 😍 #ahmdscience #ahmdvideo #ahmdaellatif #sealife #oceanlife #marinelife #eel #eels #deepsea #creatures #animals #wildlife #ocean #sea #indonesia #bali #diving https://www.instagram.com/p/B9c2Lwkgqe5/?igshid=1qqgdjcwa6dpf

#ahmdscience The Tiger Beetle... خنفساء النمر Tiger beetle, (subfamily Cicindelinae), any of more than 2,600 species of beetles (insect order Coleoptera) named for the voracious eating habits of both larvae and adults. The larva lives in a vertical burrow, which is sometimes as much as 0.67 metre (2 feet) deep. It waits at the top of the burrow for prey, which usually consists of insects and spiders. It lunges out and grasps the prey with sicklelike mandibles (jaws). A pair of hooks on the abdomen anchor the larva, so that it cannot be pulled out of its burrow by the struggling victim. The prey is then dragged to the bottom of the burrow and eaten. #ahmdscience #ahmdaellatif #tigerbeetle #beetles #beetle #predator #naturelove #naturelovers #nature #insect #insects #fact #facts #world #savetheplanet #earth #forest #entomology #naturehike #naturelovers #natureisbeautiful #nature #naturewalk #naturephotograph #dayshots #insectsofinstagram #beautiful #fauna https://www.instagram.com/p/B8lckgGgHdo/?igshid=125bqmqx87dau

• This model of Coronavirus – COVID-19 was commissioned 8 weeks before the pandemic by a university in America to reflect their current and future research, and its focus on solving global challenges. Luke says: “This artwork is a tribute to the scientists and medical teams who are working collaboratively across the world to try to slow the spread of the virus. It is vital we attempt to slow the spread of coronavirus by working together globally, so our health services can manage this pandemic.” “Helping to communicate the form of the virus to the public, the artwork has been created as an alternative representation to the artificially coloured imagery received through the media. In fact, viruses have no colour as they are smaller than the wavelength of light.” Made through a process of scientific glassblowing, the coronavirus model is based on the latest scientific understanding and diagrams of the virus. Made in glass, at 23cm in diameter, it is approximately 2 million times larger than the actual virus. All money from this glass model are going to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) who will be assisting developing countries deal with the fallout of the corona virus epidemic. • #ahmdvideo #ahmdaellatif #ahmdscience #glassmicrobiology #coronavirüsü #coronavirus #lukejerram #virus #glassart #glassblowing #corona https://www.instagram.com/p/B926gcng1Rz/?igshid=1la8ldbb036ae

The ultimate movie (SOUND ON!) of the millisecond pulsar in the heart of the Crab Nebula, a spinning neutron star rotating once every 33 milliseconds, or 30 times each second. This nasahubble movie shows dynamic rings, wisps and jets of matter and antimatter around the pulsar in the Crab Nebula as observed in optical light. The Crab Pulsar is one of very few pulsars to be identified optically. The optical pulsar is roughly 20 kilometres (12 mi) in diameter. @nasa @nasahubble Credit.NASA/nasahubble #ahmdscience #ahmdaellatif #pulsar #neutronstar #NASA #nasahubble #star #nebula #crapnebula #pulse https://www.instagram.com/p/B9B0vaHgKQz/?igshid=h0g5lzjo48jc

• You're looking at the most detailed image of the Sun's surface captured by a newly built ground telescope in Hawaii! These first images from the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST) show a close-up view of the sun’s surface, notably a pattern of turbulent "boiling" plasma that covers the entire star. The cell-like structures are violent motions that transport heat from the inside of the sun to its surface. The hot solar plasma rises in the bright centers of these cells, cools off, then sinks below the surface in dark lanes in a process known as convection. • #ahmdscience #ahmdvideo #ahmdaellatif #science #breaking #sunsurface #sun #telescope #firstlight #detailedsun #sunimage #physics #news #sciencenews #science2020 #chemistry #matter #sci #discovery #exploration #thesun #plasma https://www.instagram.com/p/B7_EGmHAA9j/?igshid=12o00axa87bpu

#ahmdscience Casper the gator scratching his ear with his back foot like a puppy! Alligators are so cute when they do this!!! Although people often think of them as unfeeling dinosaurs, their skin is actually very sensitive and they can feel the lightest touch across their back or on their skin. They can also seal their ears off. The ear is the a little slit behind the eye they can open and close when they want. What do you think?? 🐊🐊🐊 #ahmdvideo #ahmdaellatif #Gator #Alligator #Everglades #Florida #SouthFlorida #Reptiles #Cute #CuteAnimals #reptilesofinstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/B5xfnh_gguf/?igshid=azxd4mlasa43
