Romani YouTuber Florida.Florian reacting to Susan Sarandon using the word "gy*p*d" during the Blue Beetle red carpet:
This is a reminder to White leftists out there that you need to remember that you still have a lot of unlearning to do, never get complacent.

You know how Susan Sarandon was basically cheering for hate crimes against Jewish Americans and said they were “getting a taste of what Muslims deal with everyday.”
It was blatantly antisemitic, obviously. But I would argue it’s also Islamophobic. Let me explain.
I’m sure Susan was patting herself on the back for that statement. I’m sure she sees herself as the ultimate ally to the Muslim community. But she’s not. She was tokenizing and weaponizing the Muslim community, not helping them. She was using their pain and suffering as ammunition against another marginalized group who are also in pain and suffering. She doesn’t care, she just wanted an excuse to be an open bigot, saw an opportunity, and took it.
Also, one last note, Jews make up 2% of the American population yet 60% of religious based hate crimes are targeted at them. They’ve always been afraid, she just wasn’t listening.

Just so we’re clear, the reason why Hollywood will bend over backwards to defend Zionists while blacklisting anyone who speaks out against Israel is not because of the anti-Semitic “jEWs cOnTRoL tHE meDiA” bullshit conspiracy theory; it’s because the U.S. military complex has the whole industry in its pockets. IT’S CAPITALISM GUYS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN CAPITALISM

Susan Sarandon belongs on the Nope list, as she has recently done and said a number of truly horrible things. She stated, regarding the increasing number of antisemetic hate crimes across the globe, that, “There are a lot of people that are afraid of being Jewish at this time and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country, so often subjected to violence”, implying that we deserve what’s happening, that religous based hate is unique to Musims and that we’ve never (or rarely) faced any violence, like the f*cking Holocaust wasn’t a thing!!!
Not long after that, she rallied alongside CODEPINK, that claims to be a feminist org but are actually a CCP funded propaganda group that also shills for Russia.
And then she started retweeting posts from Anastasia Maria Lupus, censoredmen and Jake Shields, who are literal Nazis, and a video statement from convicted pedophile Scott Ritter.
This all happened over the course of the past 4 and a half months.
I've just had to do some research regarding all of what you just said because that is A LOT.
Now I don't know how much knowledge of CodePink and links to CCP she has are, so that I can't verify other than what I read about the group on Wiki.
I did find a whole Reddit thread of receipts about Susan and who she retweets etc. Just a quick overview of this means that I will delete her post and put her in nope list.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Michael Kaplan, Sara Nathan, and Joshua Rhett Miller
Mass anti-Israel protests which stopped traffic out of Manhattan Monday were secretly coordinated by radicals — and are a dramatic escalation of their tactics, experts tell The Post.
At least six radical anti-Israel groups were behind the rush-hour protests which stranded commuters on the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges and the Holland Tunnel.
The groups, which include the Democratic Socialists of America whose members include squad member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, co-ordinated their actions then blasted their social media accounts with glossy films reveling in the misery they brought.
They also deployed the Hollywood star power of Susan Sarandon, the actress who previously had to apologize for antisemitic comments at a rally in Manhattan.
Justin Finkelstein, analyst with Center on Extremism at the Anti Defamation League, said it was evidence of secret backchannels between the groups and told The Post: “I this is the most disruptive that I’ve seen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“It’s slowing down daily movement of New Yorkers and making it impossible not to notice them. I think that is their goal. They think these direct actions raise awareness of the Palestinian cause.”
And he warned more attempts to interrupt ordinary people’s lives are on the way and said: “Anything that gets them visibility is something they might consider.”
The six groups know to have taken part in what they called “an autonomous collective” were Palestinian Youth Movement; Democratic Socialists of America, New York branch; Writers Against War On Gaza; Jewish Voice for Peace; Al-Awda; and Critical Resistance.
Between them they boast ties not just to AOC and Sarandon, but to “Angels in America” playwright Tony Kushner, elite colleges including Yale, Brown and UCLA — and have received funding from the Ben & Jerry’s Foundation, a Rockefeller family foundation and through Schwab Charitable, a fund set up with the help of the investment company Charles Schwab to allow people to make donations to other non-profits.

I'm so disappointed in Susan Sarandon right now. How about never ever have a sentence in any context that includes "Jews getting a taste of".
Especially as a woman. Like how do all these women just dismiss the rape of moms. Murdering of children. Putting babies in ovens!!! Ignoring the hostages living in Hell right now. Just I need a sign of humanity right now.
What they did October 7th wasn't warfare. It wasn't against a military. It was barbaric, animal style torture. Anyone not talking about what they did that day is just a soulless monster to me.
Hi Nonnie!
I couldn't agree more. Her antisemitism really jumped out of her there, didn't it? If your response to the Jews of your country being persecuted and scared is, "Good!" I don't care what excuses you use, you're just an antisemite.
Tumblr media
Also, saying that "Jews are getting a taste of what Muslims are in this country," like Jews had it coming, only makes sense if you're saying that Jews are somehow responsible for islamophobia in the US? Which is literally the opposite of the truth. An islamophobia Index study found Jews were the least prejudiced in the US against Muslims. But even if it were true, do two wrongs make a right? The very idea that she's using American Islamophobia to justify American antisemitism is also evidence of her just being an antisemite.
Tumblr media
But there were many headlines saying she was fired for being pro-Palestinian. Here's a few examples:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even many of the headlines who didn't call her comment "pro-Palestinian," stated that she was dumped by her agency for comments "at a pro-Palestinian rally" instead of just saying she was dropped for making antisemitic remarks.
It demonstrates exactly how this new antisemitism works. She can say anything antisemitic, no matter how morally wrong, no matter how factually inaccurate, and it just gets cloaked as being "pro-Palestinian." Will American Jews being scared in the US free a single Palestinian in Gaza? No. Did Sarandon speak for Palestinian protesters a few months ago, when they were being killed by Hamas? Also no. Because she doesn't really care about them, they're just a tool for her to be gleeful over Jews being persecuted.
I'm not even gonna talk about her circulating false information about the Jewish state (that Israeli soldiers are the ones responsible for killing Israeli civilians, not Hamas), and that to do so, she retweeted a right wing, white supremacist antisemite. Sarandon, supposedly a human rights, far left activist, amplified the voice of a right wing, white supremacist antisemite. There really is no end to what antisemites are willing to do, or what they think they can get away with under the guise of "just" being anti-Israel, not antisemitic.
I'm glad she got her comeuppance, I'm glad her talent agency dropped her. Not that her acting career has been relevant for decades. She had two iconic roles, which is two more than many actors, but I was looking at her acting credits, and the last time she had an acting role that really made waves at the time is a 1999 movie. And maybe that also explains why she's suddenly so vocally anti-Israeli since 2021, because that's the only way she's made headlines in recent years. IDK to what a degree this also plays a role, but I do think people like Sarandon and Roger Waters are, at least in part, also feeding their own ego, when suddenly their anti-Israel (and antisemitic) comments get them attention, and from certain factions, even praise.
That's a long winded way to say, I totally agree with you. About Sarandon, and about anyone dismissing, ignoring, and especially justifying Oct 7. It was barbaric on levels that are hard to comprehend. I think it's especially telling when hearing forensic examiners, first responders and morgue workers saying that Oct 7 was like none of the other horrors they had witnessed over decades of gruesome work.
I hope you're doing good, lovely, despite how infuriating all of this is. Sending you hugs! xoxox

Hey the increase in antisemitism is horrible. I want to do everything I can to help. Just so I know the right thing to do, does "listen to Jews and give us space to mourn" include listening to Zionist? Many of them are Jews. Many of them won't say they're Zionists, that they're Just Jews, and don't know why people Just Hate Jews now, while calling even the gentlest opposition to textbook war crimes antisemitic.
Like, you say Listen to Jews, and I think, sure that sounds good. And then on Twitter there is a guy with a giant star of David on a flag as his icon, saying All Us Jews Have a Right to Defend Ourselves and our Jewishness and what he means is the right to depopulate and flatten Gaza and turn it into a gleaming modern city free of arabs. And he is doing this under literally the flag of the star of david
So as a person concerned with justice and really trying to do the right thing, do I listen to that Jew? Because those are absolutely the loudest voices in the room right now,that's the army and the government and their loudest supporters, and most of the times I hear people say the word "antisemitism" what they mean is "not patronizing corporations that materially support genocide", and when they say "attack on Jews as bad as the Holocaust" they often mean "resistance to Israeli occupation of stolen land"
sorry i'm answering this four days late, tumblr mobile is awful about telling you when you have new asks lmfao
honestly the answer here is yes. you do listen to zionists. you actually should listen to jews who identify as zionists VERY closely for a few different reasons
zionism is a word that has very different meanings within and without jewish spaces. this is something i've talked about a lot on my blog, but basically, many jews use this to describe a feeling of connection to eretz israel, the land of the people israel, and doesn't inherently have anything to do with the israeli government. you should be able to find posts where i talk about this at this link [x]
you say so yourself that many people will say one thing and mean another, and that's definitely true, but the problem is that you won't know who's doing that without listening to them. many jews saying those exact things are very explicitly against the israeli government
along a similar vein, it's important to listen to why a jew says something is antisemitic. like yeah there are some people who equate any critique of medinas israel (the state of israel) as antisemitism, but there are also people who very rightfully have called out popular anti-zionist talking points as antisemitic and were then dismissed as zionist (even if this person very explicitly states that they are not a zionist). for example, when susan sarandon got fired, as people put it, "for attending a pro-palestinian rally." it was actually because she said the "people that are afraid of being jewish at this time... are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a muslim in [the united states]" [x] that statement is horrifically antisemitic because it 1) suggests that the rise in antisemitism (a 541% increase from last year as of last week [x]) is justified and 2) suggests that antisemitism is somehow a new thing in the us that jews are just now beginning to experience. in this instance it would be very important to listen to someone explain WHY they felt what she said was antisemitic, bc at first blush it just sounds like one of those cases of equating support for palestinian liberation with antisemitism
honestly i feel this is most important, which is why i put it last. to quote rami elhanan: “how will you get respect if you don’t give respect? once you are able to listen to the pain of the other, you can expect the other to listen to your pain." in that same talk, bassam aramin said “don’t claim that you own the truth always. people’s stories are their truth. you need to listen, respect, then the other side will listen to you and your pain." this was a lesson i learned because i'm a queer anarchist in kentucky; it was only when i listened to the people around me that i supposedly disagree such that i learned we agree on almost everything, and that was when we began yo see each other's humanity. another quote from aramin: "we didn’t meet as friends, no, we meet as enemies. but now we are family. and we had to start by talking to each other." the recording of the talk i attended hasn't been made public yet, but i posted a bunch of quotes from it here [x]

I think as "community service" for being a fucking antisemitic troll against American Jews, and telling us that we don't know what it's like to be attacked for who we are, Susan Sarandon should be required to investigate every single one of the alarming number of bomb threats, threats of violence, and defilements that are being made on synagogues across the US every week.
Then maybe Susan can shut her damn fool mouth and stop telling American Jews that we're "imagining" the very real threats we face every day.
I know Susan thinks she's some sort of morally superior anti-religion "activist" or some shit, but a lot of us Jews go to shul, and it is TERRIFYING to sit in a synagogue, knowing that there are people with guns and bombs in our community who would love nothing more than to turn us into fish in a barrel. And the only thing standing in their way are the few security guards the synagogue can afford to hire.
Fuck you, Susan Sarandon. Find some other way to get attention now that your movie career is over.

Antisemitism is evil
Genocide against the Palestinians is evil
If you disagree with either of these, please leave my page
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Further Reading:
Yes it’s a Genocide
TL;DR: there are many classifications of genocide, and one of such classifications is ethnic cleansing. Israeli military and government forces claim they are doing a Nakba 2. The first Nakba is the definition of ethnic cleansing, by UN definitions, which is a form of genocide. Israel has admitted that they are committing genocide.
No criticizing Israel is not antisemitic
TL;DR: if criticism of Israel or being pro Palestinian equates being antisemitic, then here is a list of raging antisemites (direct quotes included): Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, Malcolm X, Fred Hampton, Nelson Mandela, Albert Einstein (is Jewish), Stephen Hawking, Frida Kahlo (is Jewish), Noam Chomsky (is Jewish), DJ KHALED, Muhammad Ali, Jimmy Carter, Ben and Jerry (the ice cream people), Bernie Sanders (is Jewish), and Susan Sarandon.
Why Israel hates Palestinians (and why it’s unjustified)
TL;DR: Early post Zionist radical philosophy was to get back at the Germans and kill 6 million Germans senselessly for their systemic murder of Jews. This was rejected by Israel, but this thought process and reaction to historic European antisemitism was channelled into mistreatment of Palestinians. Europe is to blame yet Palestinians are the ones suffering,
I am very well read
TL;DR: Someone called be a slur and told me to pick up a book, I responded with a list of books which I read, a good chunk of which are from pro Israel Zionists and anti Israel Jewish and Palestinian academics
Antisemitism Post #1
TL;DR: a critique of white leftists who thing all Jewish people must categorize themselves as “good Jew” or “bad Jew”. Ethnonationalism like Zionism is dangerous but so is bigotry such as antisemitism. I also use my personal story of hating Belgians.
Antisemitism Post #2
TL;DR: if you replace “Israeli” with any other ethnicity or nationality and it’s bigoted, then your statement is antisemitic. If your statement isn’t bigoted and a rightful criticism of government or military positions and actions, it’s not antisemitic. It’s not antisemitic to criticize a genocide.
Patriotism vs Nationalism vs Jingoism
TL;DR: A Patriot loves their country, she celebrates when it does right and criticizes it when it does wrong. A Nationalist loves their country, she celebrates it when it does right and ignores when it does wrong. A Jingoist loves their country (or at least a specific version of it), celebrates when it is right and when it is wrong, because their country is unable to do wrong in their eyes. Everything can be justified.
Antisemitism Post #3
TL;DR: the Jews don’t control Hollywood.
Rebutting the “It’s Complicated” Claim
TL;DR: it’s not complicated, it’s apartheid
Antisemitism Post #4
TL;DR: Israel is Antisemitic, non Ashkenazi Jews frequently face discrimination, especially in Netanyahu’s Israel, but it’s always been this way with Yiddish language bans, forced sterilization of Ethiopian Jews, and European supremacy in all corners of government
Extremism is Sometimes Justified
TL;DR: one person’s terrorist is another person’s freedom fighter, and if you claim all extremism is bad, you support European colonial control of Africa, Haiti, the USA, and so many other evil regimes.
Yes Israel is a Colonial Project
TL;DR: Direct sources from the founders of Zionism calling the creation of Israel a colonial project and referring to Palestinians as the indigenous peoples who are in the way
Continued:
In a few months more journalists have died in Gaza than in WW2.
Gaza: Israeli company plans luxury beach side Apartment on the ruins of Gaza
A Message from a Palestinian Friend
People who are not Israeli or Palestinian are allowed to engage in discourse on this issue, especially Americans
Goat Jewish Boi Slays
The Post that Blew Up
Debunking idiotic Israeli arguments
Where’d you Come From, Where’d you Go
USA is the most diverse country on earth
Direct quote from an Israeli cabinet minister calling this conflict a war on Gaza not a war on Hamas (what happened to the plot??)
I love Jewish men who love humanity
Israel doesn’t care about peace
what happened with barrera is terrible, but susan sarandon’s comment that “there are a lot of people that are afraid, afraid to be Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country” is not only tone deaf, but antisemitic, especially for her as a non-Jewish individual to say.
antisemitism in the US has been on the rise for years and statistically, hate crimes against jews are higher than any other religion. antisemitism didn’t end with the holocaust and for her to act like Jewish people deserve this treatment because of what Israel is doing, is just plain wrong. there is no need to put these two religious minorities against each other either so yes, her comment was gross and antisemitic.
Yes I agree that what she said could have been worded better but when did she say that Jewish people “deserve” bad treatment because of what Israel is doing? Every accusation I’ve heard against her just sounds like people putting words in her mouth without understanding what she’s trying to say. She’s basically saying “do you think it sucks to be hated for your religion? Well, this is what Muslims have been facing for years.” She never said that was a good thing or that we SHOULD be antisemitic. Yes, it’s true that pitting marginalized groups of people against each other is not going to solve anything and I don’t think we should be making trauma into a competition, but I strongly disagree that’s what she was trying to do and to act like this one comment makes her a raging anti-Semite is just straight-up wrong. The people who fired her don’t give a shit about stopping anti-Semitism; they just want to silence anyone who is willing to speak out for Palestinians. People who support Israel have said much, MUCH worse things about Muslims and faced zero consequences for it. Susan Sarandon has made it clear that she is firmly against antisemitism and any form of bigotry and one comment that people are so eager to take out of context doesn’t change that. So no, I don’t agree that what she said was antisemitic and I certainly don’t think it justified her being fired.
I’m not an expert, but it kinda feels like supporting anti-abortion candidates, might have a little something to do with how we end up getting anti-abortion legislation and getting Roe v. Wade gutted?? I mean, just maybe, constantly running to conservatives & conservatism is … not helping progressives?
But no, the “experts” have repeatedly assured me that this is all the fault of a Senate parliamentarian and Susan Sarandon. 🙄
