I don't even have an ipad, but I know how amazing Procreate is. It was just announced they're making a full affordable animation program with a one time purchase of $20 and no subscription cost like holy shit????

Wait omgg I love your Tallulah design!! She's so cute AHH!! Oh but I'm curious, what program do you use to draw? You excel at it so well!!
Thank you so much!!
For the Tallulah drawing I used Krita! I really love their default brushes so its what I mainly use for my illustrations at the moment!

Hello! Been following for a while now and I love your art! It really feels like it pops out and is so fluid. I was wondering how you keep your lineart so smooth and what program you use? (sorry if this is something you've answered before, Tumblrs search feature on blogs is terrible and never pops anything up)
Aww thank you!! Artblock and self consciousness is now only kicking my butt semi-regularly, still a bit shy to post actual, full pieces in seperate posts. I try to remember everybody is going at their own pace and I've come a long way since I started, but thank you for the kind words!! They're appreciated!
And wow my lineart looks smoother?? Honestly my lineart is one of the things I'm MOST self conscious of right now! I don't really have a particular method if I'm honest: I stick with the pen tool and then, before I start lining anything, I play around with how wide I want the brush to be. Depending on how much detail is in a piece the width of the brush can be between 6 or 10 but I never usually go over that
The program I use is FireAlpaca, yes I downloaded it cuz it has a funny name (and it's free-)
And don't worry if anything I'm kinda bad at tagging stuff, sometimes I just don't tag things period which in hindsight is really unhelpful to myself and others! For future reference I'll tag anything with art programme related questions as art tips and art program

My painting software of choice, Rebelle, is coming out with a new version! It's a really nice program, it's designed to imitate real paints- tools react to the texture of the paper you're using, oil paint can create thick layers of paint, watercolours flow and blend in real time and so on. Here's some random art I made with it as examples of what it can do:
You won't actually be able to use it until December the 14th, but they're selling it for an extremely steep discount- $30 for the pro edition, $20 for the standard (it goes up a bit in December, but will still be discounted for a few more days). Generally the base version is $90 and the pro $150 for comparison.
I'd strongly recommend getting the pro version; Rebelle 7 is introducing a metallic paint system that isn't available in the basic version, and it also has the Pigments system, which is one of the main reasons I like it over other programs. When it's turned on, it allows colours to blend more like the would irl, which overall creates much nicer colours:
If it sounds interesting to you, here's the link!

you use FireAlpaca too?! there are dozens of us! dozens!
I do!! I’ve been using it since I first got a drawing tablet. I know I could always try learning another one like Clip Studio or Photoshop but I just love how simple and familiar it is haha XD

Hi there! I'm curious, what type of digital art software do you use, and what kind of device do you draw on? These are gorgeous!!
Heya! Im so glad you enjoy the art!
I use Clip Studio Paint, and I paint on a Huion Kamvas Pro 24". I prefer a display device, but I also enjoy using a Wacom Intuos Pro, depending on where Im painting.
