Hi, I think you liked c!Sam at some point too? I dunno if any other c!Sam likers are still active, so I can't really figure out who else to ask.

What is c!Sam's deal with c!Hannah and why does he treat her so mean? (Like when she lost her elytra. Before that he seemed to care and be concerned about her with the Egg thing and be playful with her, but when she lost her elytra he was so uncaring about it.) Is it because of her betraying him at the Red Banquet?

"liked c!sam at one point" C!SAM WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!! not in the morality of his actions but in his sheer swag. consistently one of my absolutely favorite characters!!

you pretty much hit the nail on the head, after the betrayal at the red banquet, sam was very hesitant to trust hannah again. (though i have my issues with the wiki) the wiki says:

however, you're not wrong for wondering why he's treating her specifically so coldly, in fact, this post specifically criticizes him for his treatment of hannah around that time (and is totally worth a read).

i'm sorry, i can't give you a concrete answer for why he's acting the way he does towards her specifically, but i think it'd be worth attributing it to the way that sam tends to think in black and white, or moral absolutes (which this other post also goes into and worth checking out).

I'm Sam, 15 years old, nonbinary and I'm writing here about the Dream SMP!(no QSMP)

I welcome criticism, tips and any opinion.

I'll update this, hopefully, every week but I might not always remember or have time so please don't hate me.

I just had the best idea for a star trek au kinda thing with the dsmp, but that's a bit of a niche crossover, so ill just post about it instead of just writing it down

this is about the characters in the dreamsmp, not the creators, I don't make content about real people

firstly, technoblade as a trill and the blood god is a symbiote, yes fucking please (honestly so proud of myself for thinking of this one and for why)

I think it would be cool if ranboo was a former Borg, explaining the memory loss, the lack of knowledge of pronouns (aside from the Borg queen, I assume Borg drones are like worker bees, that is, non-binary) and the fantastical racism that's in so many fics

this may be controversial, but wilbur gives off big bajoran vibes. I think it's the rebellion and pure charisma, idk. also, like, going mad because of the prophets happens sometimes, so that's on brand

Tommy is half-Klingon, moving on

I'm not sure about many of the others, on a purely power and knowledge level maybe slimecicle would be a part of the Dominion, that doesn't rlly fit his demeanor

I don't want to be rude, but Philza seems like he would be a human, like that's just a dude, same with like tubbo, and quackity (though it would be hilarious to see him portrayed as a ferengi)

technically ik the egg arc is like the Borg thing, but I don't like the egg arc, so I'm going to ignore it

awesamdude could be Vulcan or half-vulcan, especially with the whole big bad emotionless warden thing he had going on (not to say Vulcans are emotionless, don't get on my ass, they just don't show it a lot and prefer logic)

I don't rlly watch streams anymore, especially after, yknow, so if anyone has anything to add, or wants to disagree, feel free, I'm definitely missing things and am open to criticism

I’m a sam sympathizer and have been for a long time, but for real

he is the only person on the server outside of dream and tommy that knows the full extent of what dream did in exile and he really just sat there and not only assumed that tommy was helping dream escape but literally screamed at him that he should be dead, that sam should kill him.

sam Is Not fit to be the warden, both for his own sake and for everyone else’s. he feels trapped in the position because he doesn’t want anyone else to bare that burden, but they don’t have to. killing dream Is the solution. there is no one qualified to watch over the prison and there’s no one qualified to help dream reform (if that’s even possible).

people have been criticizing tommy for this plan but if anything the way it ended up reinforced exactly why tommy felt like it was the only option in the first place.

was texting a friend abt this but im gonna post my thoughts bc fuck dude

ponk and sam weren't fighting over the prison keys.

sure, that's the source of their argument and the physical items that were being traded in exchange for ponk's safety/life, but it wasn't abt the keys in the end. they were fighting to prove their own point to the other.

sam was trying to prove to ponk that nothing, even overall harmless thievery, will be accepted when the security of the prison is at stake. he was willing to go to the lengths of literally torturing someone he loves in order to show that security breaches are not something he takes lightly. and so he tried to get the keys back, even though in the end they were functionally useless and entirely harmless for ponk to have.

and ponk was trying to prove to sam that what he was doing was drastic and fucked up. he was trying to convince sam that the prison has changed his behavior, changed his morals, and that he was a very different person than the sam he used to know and love. so he held onto the last key as way to basically be like hey are you really willing to mutilate me to prove a point? to get back a key that you have admitted is useless???

and he got his answer.

Rewatching Ponk's torture scene is ... hard. It is one of the most brutal and crushing things ever in the dsmp. I mean it IS the second darkest thing to happen besides what is happening to Dream in the prison arc. I heard some takes that "Ponk shouldn't stay mad because Sam likes him!" And like the torture scene is just completely brutal and crushing even without the arm taking. I think the Fandom probably is underestimating how traumatic this is and how traumatized Ponk must be

i know i joke about being in denial and what not but it's COMPLETELY fucked up what ponk had to go through with sam, and it wasn't deserved at all!! there are a lot of layers when it comes to that scene: the torture itself with the lava and the poison, the fact that it was sam who did it, the reasoning behind it all, the true intent and purpose of why this happened, and amputating ponk's damn arm. when you consider everything that went into it, it's heart-wrenching and disgusting.

i think the part that hurts the most is the fact that it was sam who did all of this. people in the fandom may say "warden!sam" but that's still sam. that's still the sam ponk knew and loved... and i think that ponk is still, to this day, in disbelief that sam killed, tortured, and mutilated them! it was sam, it was awesamdude, it was sammywammy123. and for sam to just flirt and minimize the severity of his actions is despicable and must feel like torment to a certain extent on ponk’s end. sam is able to acknowledge his actions but not the impact. he’s on his “the ends justify the means” bullshit and it makes me wanna kick him in his shins. i believe that the scene will hurt more once ponk’s backstory lore comes out because we’ll be able to compare pre-dsmp awesamponk to current day awesamponk.

ponk is a tragic character and has been heavily influenced by this incident. the march 24th scene is actually one of the most cruel things to happen in the dream smp and will probably remain one of the most cruel things to occur.

I love your writing wjere wilbur manipulated dream with nice things like hugs and friends gestures. Wilbur will basically turn dream isto a lapdog for himself but a hellhound for others. The others would be shocked how wilbur managed to manipulate the master puppeteer but you just gotta be nice to him and he'll do what you say. I bet Sam can tell a few stories himself

“I mean,” Wilbur purrs, dark eyes fixed unwaveringly on Sam, “it’s easy, isn’t it? Take away a starving dog’s bone and you’ll train him. Give that dog a bone, and he’ll be your best friend for life. It’s as simple as that.”

Sam’s mouth is dry, his skin clammy. “Wilbur,” he says, trying to ignore what the other man had said, “you shouldn’t be around here. Don’t make me fight you. You know you won’t win.”

And yet, he doesn’t think he’d win either. Because Wilbur is a lot of things - unarmed, armourless, for all intents and purposes, helpless compared to Sam’s netherite weapons and armour - but stupid isn’t one of them. Because Wilbur is smiling, gently, condescendingly, at Sam’s words, like he knows something Sam doesn’t. Because Sam’s skin prickles around Wilbur in an unsettling way, and Wilbur always has another trick up his sleeve.

“Maybe not,” Wilbur agrees, placid for now, a serpent laying in wait underneath a flower, “but I’m not here to fight. Just to thank you, I suppose.”

“Thank me?”

Too late, Sam understands exactly what he’s talking about. And, from Wilbur’s chuckle, he’s fallen right into the trap he’d been trying to skirt around.

“Well, for what you’ve done to Dream, I mean.” Wilbur prowls around the prison, looking up at it admiringly. The little hole he’d left in the side from breaking Dream out has long since been repaired: it stands, just as ominously as ever, looming over the SMP like a bad omen. “You remember my dog analogy? I do like my analogies. You took the metaphorical bone from him, Sam. It made everything a lot easier, so thank you for that, really, I mean it. It was easy to sway him back to my side. Just like old times.”

Entire body rigid and tense, guilt pooling in the bottom of his stomach and chest and throat, Sam clenches his hand around the handle of his sword tighter. It’s not the pickaxe, it’s not the Willbreaker-

(”Sam, Sam, stop, stop, I’m sorry, don’t, please, listenlistenlisten I’ll tell you I promise I’ll-”)

-and he’ll never touch the Willbreaker again, never, because he already can’t rid his hands of the blood that stains them, he doesn’t need more, because he already wakes up at night nauseous and guilty from the nightmares from the prison, because he already struggles to justify it to himself. He deserved it, is the mantra that runs through his head, Dream deserved everything he got after what he did to Tommy. It’s hard, however, to believe that, standing in broad daylight with Wilbur Soot prowling around like he’s the cat that got the cream.

“If you actually wanted to stop him, though, you went about it the entirely wrong way.” Wilbur sounds like a teacher, voice low and steady, informative, like he’s not talking about shattering someone’s psyche. Then again, who is Sam to say anything about that? He’d be a hypocrite to take the moral high ground and scorn Wilbur for this - hadn’t he done the exact same thing? “Really, you should have focused on being nice to him. Building him up, being his friend. He would have followed anyone who treated him with a little affection. I was just lucky I got there before anyone else figured it out.”

“Stop it,” Sam whispers, voice sticking in his throat, “stop it, I don’t want to-”

Wilbur raises his hands in mock innocence, but the light in his eyes is merciless and knowing. “Hey, no, please, I’m not trying to say anything about it. Like I said, Sam, I’m here to thank you. He’s told me some of what you did to him - I had no idea one of his own old friends would treat him like that. You saved me work.”

Images of Dream’s gaunt face, exhausted and bruised, come to mind, and Sam feels bile rising in his stomach. “Wilbur, please.” It’s not a beg, but it’s close, and Wilbur grins like he’s won. “Don’t. Just- Just- want do you want?”

“I want you to tell me everything you did to him.” It’s an automatic response - of course this is what Wilbur wants, Sam thinks in despair, misery closing in on him, of course he wants to know more. He’s always been hungry for information, always wanted to know more than what’s good for him. Isn’t that how he’s ended up so twisted? “And, in return, I’ll make sure to keep quiet about this. I know the others don’t know, Sam, about what you did to him. Wouldn’t you like it to remain that way?”

And he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place now, isn’t he? He’s damned if he tells Wilbur everything - he’ll never be able to deal with the guilt, and God knows what Wilbur is going to do with the information given to him - and he’s damned if he doesn’t, because then everyone will find out about what he’s done, hell, and isn’t that worse? Because Wilbur will find out everything from Dream, anyway, and really, there’s no choice at all here.

Wilbur’s smile is pleased when he watches Sam’s shoulders drop in resignation and hevay defeat.

“You can start from the beginning,” he tells Sam, leaning against the side of the prison leisurely, and Sam takes a deep breath, before complying.

hey what if c!dream is forgetting about his time in prison? What if all the memories of torture is slowly being lost? What if c!sam is the only one who validates that he was tortured at all? What if no one believes him or cares and so he starts to not believe himself? What if one day c!sam decides that none of it happened? How long will c!dream fight before forgetting it all?
