there r like 2 extreme interpretations about the relationship between megumi and gojo - one being that they’re not close at all and the other being they’re literal father son

but i think they fall more into gojo not fully realizing his devastating impact on megumis life and megumi being deeply attached to gojo bc hes the closest thing hes ever had to a secure adult in his life — while also being afraid of abandonment. they’re both similar to me in that they keep formality in their relationship almost like they’re afraid that if they show sincerity something bad will happen. something so irreversible. so megumi keeps an insincere distance and gojo finds his own fondness onesided

i do think they love each other in their own fucked up and sad ways. and i think megumi was disappointed he couldn’t do anything for gojo.

mostly i think megumi was glad to die first. just so he didn’t have see his sensei, the only adult who’s ever cared for him, die first. i think he was truly relieved about that

I feel like Overhaul is the worst choice™ when it comes to this because technically, that man can just scramble your brain like an egg and be done with it 😂😭 You complain too much? Quirk-induced lobotomy. You cry too much? Lobotomy time, babe. But to be fair, with how much poking and prodding he’d do - I’d be surprised if you didn’t fight back at least a little, simply out of pure survival instinct. No matter how much you resign yourself to your fate, your body might not. Humans and their pesky need for preservation, haha. A year in, and specifically as his spouse not his little freak experiment, I can already see him trying to get you pregnant. He definitely expects you to know all his finicky little rules by heart, expects you on nothing but your best behavior. And when you’re good? It’s probably almost boring, in between his various little exams and procedures. I don’t think he’d provide you with much mental stimulation, most media has been poisoned by modern society, anyway. It’s probably a pretty bleak existence and the only excitement you get is... him. And his presence. A baby would be almost fun compared to what you have to go through daily, just counting the seconds until your next meal, sometimes sky-high on some medication, sometimes just sitting in the same room as him, stone-cold sober. And when you’re bad? Didn’t follow his minute, inane protocols? He’ll treat you like a dog again, so, so angry with you. I think his punishments would get worse the longer are with him - what he could excuse at first as little blunders due to a change in your routine becomes a grave offense over time. You have been told about how he likes to keeps things a hundred times by now, it’s simply inexcuseable that you haven’t learned your lesson yet. Of course, that extends to you fighting back when has decided to stick his hands somewhere they don’t belong again - so you better choose wisely when to misbehave and to which extent - or you’ll end up getting hose-bathed again, or worse, have a limb or two removed. If you use your hands to slap him and your feet to run away from him, you don’t need them. At least until you’ve learned your lesson.
