First meetings from Tango's pov... (I'm not much of a writer but I wanted to try it :3, sorry if its not good...)

Tango wouldnt say he was oblivious, sure he sometimes missed some important gossip and some PR announcements but to be fair his work is the car. He couldn't care less for some random gossip or stuff from the PR people, his work is making the car better and he is a simple mechanic, no one to be in front of cameras.

Thats why when conversations about a driver move to Williams came up on the racing community, he payed no mind to them. Tango knew some name was circulating around, but again he really didnt care about it, gossip was common and nothing he is interesting in, can some people call him ignorant? That he didnt even noticed news outlets posting about it or watched his team principal's interviews? Yes, some people can call him that, however he still thinks he isnt oblivious, obviously he will know when a driver moves to his team, he isnt dumb.

Even his good friend Impulse, asks him what his opinion about Solidarity's move to Williams, which takes him by surprise bc if he's not mistaken no one at the team knows who will be the new driver and wasnt Solidarity a Redbull driver? That's what he says to Impulse and that honestly even if he knew, his friend is still on a different team. (Impulse looks at him like he doesnt believe it)

Later, much for Impulse amusement, Tango only discovers that Solidarity would race for Williams after a PR colleague says it straight on his face, apparently it was neither speculation nor a secret on the factory.

And the fact he somehow missed multiple times the presence of the driver in the factory, thats stays only between him and his colleague.

Tango wouldnt say he was that oblivious, of course he now knew Jimmy Solidarity was going to race for William's this season, but it still takes him by surprise when the driver approaches him with two cups of coffee.

"Here, you look like you need some" he says extending one cup to him

The mechanic feels a little taken away by the gesture, and doesnt know what to say. He never thought a driver would do this, he must be mistaken and that's not for him. So he just stares in shock to the said driver.

After some time of silence Solidarity slightly gestures to his extended hand and Tango finally gets the memo that yes, it's for him.

Tango takes the cup and takes a sip, unsurprisingly the coffee isnt exactly like he likes but even so it astonish him that it's close enough. "Thanks", he says softly with a small smile to Solidarity, the driver just smiles in return and leaves, probably to analyse some data.

Even as time continues Tango continues stunned with the small random interaction, till Hunter, one of his colleagues who was watching the exchange, tells him that it was very known that Solidarity was really friendly to every team member and since joining the team he had been randomly interacting with everyone.

Tango then concludes that maybe he is a bit oblivious because there's no way he never noticed the driver interacting with is colleagues.

But surely this was gonna be a one time thing, he was a simple mechanic and there was no way the driver truly cared of him.

Little did he know that Jimmy asked around how the pretty blonde mechanic that worked the whole morning liked his coffee.

Harry doesn’t actually need any weed.

However, this doesn’t stop him from texting the cute girl who sells nuggets of weed and bundles of shrooms in adorable pastel pink baggies. He met Y/N through friends a few months back — she was roommates with Lena in college and apparently had a knack for making edibles that got you to a smooth high without completely melting your brain. The second she introduced herself to him, with her bright smile and sweet voice, Harry was hooked.

Stupidly, ridiculously hooked.

The thing is, Harry doesn’t even like weed that much. He’ll smoke at parties every now and then, but it’s usually just one or two hits from a friend’s joint before he returns to drinking whatever tequila-based cocktail he’s palming in his hand. But she’s so sweet, and cute, and she keeps her drugs in a canvas tote bag that says “support your local public library.” How was Harry not supposed to fall for her?

And yeah, he bought some pre-rolled joints from her a week and a half ago at Mitch and Sarah’s housewarming party — his heart nearly collapsed to his stomach when he saw the adorable strawberry rolling papers she used — but he misses her. It’s dumb, considering they barely know one another, but it’s a Wednesday evening and he can’t stop thinking about the warm scent of her perfume and the pretty, flushed hue of her lips.

So, he texts her.

Their entire text thread is filled with Harry being stupidly obvious about his feelings for her, thinly veiled by requests for deliveries and pick-ups. Tonight is no different: Hey Y/N, hope you’re having a good week :) do you think I can come pick up tonight?

She replies almost immediately as Harry drums his fingers nervously on his thigh. His stomach dips when he reads her response. Of course!!!!! :) come by whenever ur free !

He swallows tightly when she follows it up with another message: also im making veggie pasta if u haven’t eaten dinner yet! I made too much and it never reheats well! you’re more than welcome to it if u’d like :))))

Typically when he buys weed from her, their interactions are far too short for his liking. They engage in friendly small talk and she giggles at whatever bad jokes he makes, but they’ve never actually hung out one-on-one. The thought makes Harry prickle with nerves, but he knows he’d be foolish not to take her up on her offer.

sorry if this is a dumb question, but what was the problem with keito calling him “nacchan”? is it because they’re filming? what does keito usually call him? (from what i know, fanta is more chill about honorifics among the members? sorry i’m new here 😭)

not a dumb question at all!!! japanese formal language can be very confusing!!

(disclaimer: i will say first that my japanese is not very good and i'm also not very familiar with other LDH groups so anyone pls correct me if im wrong!! i wouldn't be surprised if fanta is more casual about it,, so i'm not super confident about it but this is my general impression!!)

under the cut bc this got very long🙇‍♂️

from my understanding fanta (and LDH as a whole) actually tend to be quite strict with honorifics and formal speech. i remember just recently seeing a video of some Johnny Company groups on tv with some LDH members where they discussed the LDH high five rule, which is that kouhai must ALWAYS high five senpais with two hands

the J company members were very shocked (and maybe impressed?) by this because J company groups will apparently be quite casual with senpais

i won't speak to other groups because I'm not familiar with them, but in Fanta the members tend to be very strict with calling each other formally. all younger members will call members older than them with "name-kun" (except sekai, every member calls him sekai-san) and use honorific speech. Keito always calls nacchan as "horinatsu-kun" because he is younger, as does sota (though sota will also occasionally use "hori-san")

and all of this is despite many members knowing each other for 10+ years or being childhood friends (keito still speaks formally with sawa and horinatsu still calls leiya "leiya-kun". though from what i can think of, whenever horinatsu refers to shota, he does not use -kun), so i would say ldh is just very strict about it.🤷‍♀️ there is even a weird case with sawa and taiki, where sawa is older but taiki is the senpai so they both call each other taiki-kun and natsuki-kun (or sometimes sawa-san)

however i will say that while they are strict, because fanta is obviously very close the times i can think of off the top of my head where a younger member will drop honorifics, the older member will call them out, but they never actually seem very bothered (like with horinatsu, he is still laughing while hitting keito, and im pretty sure keito didn't apologize)

others i can think of are leiya calling taiki with no honorifics here (at 1:04): the question is "who do you think is most improved since debut" and leiya just says "taiki" and taiki yells "don't call me without honorifics!" but is still just laughing, and leiya does not apologize

and taiki dropping to informal speech while talking to sekai here (at 2:03). the question is "please tell us a good point of the next member!" which in this case is taiki, and taiki says "please tell me! (informally)" and sekai says "why are you speaking informally?" and taiki and the members just laugh🥰

in terms of using formal vs informal speech in general there are some members that i have definitely seen drop them from time to time (like yusei to leiya and sota to yusei) but even then they will always still call the older one with -kun

though all of this is to say its very possible that they are just like this in front of the camera to follow ldh rules and are very friendly and informal behind camera but i cant speak to that;;🙇‍♂️

Quinn's Route could potentially be very fun!! She lightly frequents a few bars around DR and LA, but it's also not uncommon for her to wander around in the middle of the night, and to be off on her Whispers Agent missions! Man, wouldn't it suck if you met her while she was undercover so she had to lie to you about a bunch but you both hit it off really well regardless?? <- Not the take I'm gonna use here but it occurred to me and now I want to put her in such an AU fdfksjdnf - She's a part-time bartender in Divinity's Reach, so maybe you meet her at the bar one time! Regardless of which side of the counter she's on, she's very friendly and nice! When working, she's diligent about her responsibilities, but if you prove to be fun conversation then she'll do things a bit quicker just to have a few more seconds to chat with you! - You're gonna have to be either chill or affectionate towards cats, and you can't talk down to her about her bar job! ;w; She loves her job and has an absolute ball with it most days, so talking down about working in a bar in any form is going to be a huge turn-off for her !! Same thing with cats; you gotta at least be nice to her baby boy Pepper!!

(apparently i have WAY more to say about her than i THOUGHT i would. so !! readmore in the middle lmao)

[Fun fact continuation!] - She loves spontaneous outings!! Little adventures in between everyday life is what keeps her happy and goin'!! She'll likely try to invite you to some late-night street exploration, or dropping into some party she heard conversation about, or even just running around some woods at night!! Even better if you're the one who suggests something spontaneous first!! - Quinn's a huge sucker for sparring and duels as well; if you're the combat / adventurer type like she is, she'll absolutely want to spar with you and it is absolutely bonus points if you go through with it! A bonus for YOU is that she typically banters and flirts during duels. >:) - But she is OBLIVIOUS to flirting!! yours OR her own!! She's dumb!! She is absolutely the person that you could flirt with in increasingly obvious ways, and she would absolutely think that you just Really enjoy her company!! (Literally, her husband [who ive been ignoring for the sake of this bc his involvement would prompt It's Own Route ♥] was taking her on dates and giving her kisses and even calling her Dearheart and she never got it until he wrote her a whole ass love letter. She's THAT level of oblivious!!)

Good Ending: The trick to getting the good ending requires one thing: Being Very Direct With Her. As previously stated: Quinn is a total airhead about love. You could literally be making out with her on the couch and she would just think that you're great buddies who are hella comfortable with each other!! Being direct with her is going to give her a small crisis, but mainly in the "oh gods i've never been in a relationship before" department; the good news is: Even if she's hella bad at the whole relationship thing at first, she is undoubtedly going to give it her all. :3 This is definitely a girlie who's good ending finishes out with a wedding tbh, or at least a "years later" wedding bonus scene

Neutral Ending: Basically achieved but just. Not Saying Anything, lmao. You could be flirting with her, you could also not be flirting with her! Either way, platonic ending, basically! :D you'll still get to share your late night adventures and do spontaneous shit together, you're just (probably) not kissing in alleyways on your way home and whatever.

Bad Ending: you just?? don't hit it off that well i guess?? or you were mean to her cat, or about her job. :( She's not like a vengeful person so nothing all that exciting would happen here tbh! it'd be more like a gentle drifting apart! Unless you mistreated her on purpose and her brothers find out ♥ then you suffer at their hands, and that might be exciting! KSDJFNS

Red Bull BassLine 2022 - besties, get ready for "Mira's tennis experience - part 2" or "the 3 hours in which i took 255 photos and videos"

i got there exactly one hour before the start and i was third in line before a man came together with his family and thought he could jump the queue (and he acted like he was better than all the others in line), that's why i got a bit passive aggressive and talked loudly about how some people are apparently too dumb to get in line and think they can jump the queue (I was on the phone with my father in that moment, but I tried very hard to make sure the man and his family heard and knew i was talking about them) and it worked, they got in line behind me (by the way, these were also the people who didn't recognise and know Karen)

i got a front line seat right next to the players lounge 🥰 (right next to like if I'd have stretched out my arm, I could probably have tapped the player on the ergometer on the shoulder)

Andrey he is even more beautiful in person than he is on photos...his hair looks so fluffy and soft, his smile is so bright and warm and he is honestly the cutest little cupcake when he wears a beanie 🥺

i love his tennis so much! it's so powerful and he is really loud on court 😂 although i noticed yesterday during practice he starts rather quiet and gets louder the longer he practises 😂

i'm so happy that i got the possibility to watch him practise on Thursday and that i got two autographs from him 🥰 he laughed a little about the photo i asked to sign him on Thursday

Karen Karen won the event! and god, was he happy about it! his tennis was very good, his net game was strong and he didn't do many mistakes. and i mean, i know he is a good looking guy but HOLY SH*T is this man handsome in person! i got some lovely photos of him smiling at Grigor 🥺😍 he teached us how to say "thank you" in russian - or rather how to pronounce it correctly 😂

Grigor i think Grigor got the loudest cheers form the crowd (he and Andrey) and he was so so sweet with all the fans! he signed all the tennis balls, my photo, caps, shirts, shoes...everything. he is as good looking as on the photos and i think you can't take a bad photo of him - he just always looks so so good 🥰

Taylor I think everyone knows i'm not Taylor's biggest fan but i kinda loved him at the event! he ignored all the annoying fans who shouted "CAN I HAVE YOUR TOWEL?" or similar stuff the whole time (which has visibly annoyed the players bc some of the fans didn't accept a "no") but was very polite and friendly with all the other fans! He took the photo i handed him and said: "Oh, that's nice one!", signed the photo & handed it back saying "there you go! Thank you!"

Diego Diego refused to give autographs 😂 whenever someone asked him to sign something he only said "later! later" but there was no later 😂 he left before the event was official over and gave no autographs and took no pictures...but he looked cute. when all the players sat on the players couch together in the lounge he even swapped place with Karen so Andrey could sit next to Karen 😂

Filip He looked a bit lost (ok, he was a bit lost) between the others but he is such a cutie 🥺 when i asked him to sign my photo of him he looked a bit surprised bc in relation to the other players, only very few fans asked him for an autograph and i had a very nice photo of him prepared for the autograph

i really enjoyed the event, the crowd was amazing, the music was good, the ticket was cheaper than last year and i got so many autographs and amazing photos and videos 🥰🥰

although i have to say it was kinda unpleasant(??) sometimes? some fans (especially the young boys about 12-16) were just stupid, annoying and embarrassing. Some were annoying the players throughout the event with "Can I have your towel/sweatband/racket?" and didn't accept it when the player said "no"…they often made stupid heckles and sometimes pushed the younger fans off, so that the little ones didn't get autographs because they couldn't get through.

two men (about 30??) kinda made fun of me bc i sat there with the prepared photos for the players to sign them…they stopped making fun of it when Taylor appreciated the prepared photo...

after the event when the players were leaving some fans didn't let Andrey go...they shouted after him, ran after him and wanted to take more and more selfies with him - although you could clearly see he didn't want to take any more photos...i think(!!) (i didn't heard it) his coach said something to the fans and than they finally left...i mean, at first i wanted to ask him to take a selfie with me as well, but when i saw how tired he looked, i didn't want to bother him, didn't ask for a photo...but some ppl there didn't want to believe that he wanted to leave...

14. what is your favorite location and position to write in?

well, i only ever really write in my room, both when I'm at home here or in my dublin apt. in both cases i usually start by writing at my desk, then get to impossibly late hours of the day which inevitably drag me to my bed where i write in the most convoluted of positions (lying down, sitting, somewhere in between the two). either way im almost definitely always uncomfortable when writing cause apparently my body is homophobic and doesn't like what i write so it finds ways to hurt me even when im just trying to write and chill (two words that don't really match if you've read anything of mine, truly)

20: do you prefer writing AUs or canon fics?

this is a toughie. i dont think I've ever written canon fics, at all? like i guess that i haven't really gone into fics that are ENTIRELY AUs (yet. stay tuned), but what I've written so far (and i mostly refer to apigp and other unpublished work, though i guess that for some drabbles i stay very canon friendly) strays from canon pretty fast and pretty intensely. now, which do i prefer, is another question entirely...i guess I'm going to go with canon. when i start thinking about AUs, i usually end up building entire worlds and shit in my head which ends up with me saying "ill do my own thing with my own characters here". i like expanding on canon and what im given already, so unless i have a really really really good idea that i absolutely want to expand on (again. stay tuned), i use canon and change everything i don't like :)

23: is writing the beginning, middle, or end of the story easiest? hardest?

hmm. it depends. if we're talking about multichapters, like apigp, starting is pretty damn hard. i think about the content of the chapter a lot, like i have a few sentences i know i most definitely want to use and/or how the chapter's POVs are structured, but writing (and most importantly, finding the strength to write) the beginning of the chapter itself is hard. like extremely hard. but once i get the hang of it, the middle is pretty easy! the characters find their voices, the events start to take place more clearly in my mind, and everything is well again :) finishing chapters is a bitch cause i can be so fucking sure that i want to end it with one evocative, cliffhanger-y sentence and then maybe it doesn't fit at ALL. and i cry for hours cause I WAS SO PROUD OF THAT LITTLE STUPID SENTENCE. but most times i end up being super glad that i cant use it bc it was very dumb from the beginning

drabbles are definitely different though! beginnings are nice and easy cause, i get a prompt, i get an immediate idea, and how to start it. then slowly but surely my hands stop clicking around my keyboard as quickly as they were just a minute ago...and i start getting extremely overwhelmed...and i'd say that happens right around the middle. i do tend to leave drabbles alone for a few days at that point until the strength comes back and endings are cool cause im like!!!! yay!!! tis done!!! its a little tricky at times cause you want drabbles to be...normal-sized, right, and i do get self-conscious over whether its too long or too short, but most of the time i manage <3

Can I vent a minute about how fucking stupid Tumblr's censorship is????

If I don't tag my post with trigger warnings, it shows up in the tag just fine. Everyone is subject to seeing whatever is posted and untagged. But heaven forbid I try to think of the children when I put "adult only" on my tags, bc any other "NSFW" word replacement automatically purity bans your post. Even if the post itself is in full compliance, it was just a warning.

The fucking "selfie" tag is ripe with offenses and untagged nudity. (Somehow Tumblr recommends that tag for me in the "your tags" section of the mobile dashboard, even though I've never followed the selfie tag and I don't want to. I can't unselect the word selfie. So that part of my mobile dashboard is 90% nudity. It's so dumb.)

And yet, if I make a post that says a banned word, no one will ever see it lmao.

God I fucking hate this site. I hate censoring words. All it does is make that content be forced onto people who don't wanna see it.

Can I also vent about how Tumblr changed their policy while I was gone? Apparently nudity is fully allowed on here now. No more "female n1ppl3s" ban lmao. So people are posting nude selfies all over the place and yet, my one little post that had NOTHING explicit in it at all, is invisible. Not even flagged, so I can't contest it. It just doesn't show up because it has a banned word in it that I don't know about. Because I was tryna be a decent human being and represent what was on the other side of the link, so people who don't want to view it know to pass on my post.

I fucking hate this shit, man. Let me post my forbidden words so people who don't want to see it are able to filter it out. I don't want to show adult only posts to people who don't like that. It makes me feel horrible. And yet, I have like no where else to go. Lmao. Fuck this hell site. I haven't forgotten why I left in 2018. Fucking bullshit banning the adult only content. God damn, I'm still so mad about that. I used to love this site so much. Now it just makes me miserable still. But where else am I gonna find this flavour of queer fandom content. I never stopped hating Twitter even tho I still use it, Reddit is just annoying and boring because there's no way to make friends on there, Insta is pure garbage algorithm bullshit, Pillowfort isn't big and active enough, and not enough space to interact with people.

It's this site I want. I'm just sick of not being welcome anywhere I fucking go because I want to enjoy the content of adults. Fuck purity culture. Fuck censorship. Really beating me down and making me feel like a horrible person for being human.

Fuck, man, even Only Fans has completely arbitrary rules, like I can't post anything kin./ key there now. Some of my old posts got taken dowm because I put a candy cane... nevermind.

Long dream

So in my dream I guess I'll start here I was with 3 friends and we were walking around and eventually they wanted to create like a tiktok music vid so I start copying the dance with them as we run around, eventually I get tired and say "hey I fucked up can we re do that take AND take a break man" of the 2/3 they were a bit pissed but one was like also extremely exhausted, for them I leave to go to a Tesco, (guess I'm in the UK??) And try to find lemonade to no avail so I try getting some pastries but idfk how to do their system bc apparently I can pay as I grab the pastries, so 2 british employees help me but they're honestly pissed I'm this dumb, I get it packed and a ginger ale and had back to a car apparently that took like 2-3 hrs so the original girls had already went home and I had argument with my mom about it, but I said idgaf it's too late idk how time went that fast. There was also a point in the dream where I'm with my sisters at the beach and point out how this creep is always here in the summer, and its yoshikage kira and hes like the white van with candy type of predator. Moving on I'm back at my HS and theres this dude whose been following, akward type, I try to be friendly and I head to my apartment??? In my hs (it's like the 5th floor, granted irl my hs is just 2f no dorms) the guy tries to kiss me but I push him away bc I dont seem him like that, and somehow the clutzy shmuck stare fades away from him and he gets mad, and breaks into my room to break shit, I run away but not fully, he thinks I've left but I go in to get evidence and my now destroyed pc, I get it and sees me leaving the hallway and starts chasing me, I really quickly try to run down the emergency staircase, that goes through the busy gymnasium, I run to the athletic director office for help but hes busy on the phone, so I run over to the IT the computer parts I have now look like fuckin croutons in soup, but theres some hard drives that I could pull out to hand to the IT guy, he tries to salvage the data, i try texting some friends if I could stay at their place bc tbh I need new locks, most are away, so i head back hopefully able to barricade myself safely, i go in i kick in the closet to make sure no ones their extra and then i hear the shuffle of papers under my bed and i grab and tackle this Japanese woman that was paid by the weird dude to collect info, I had to poorly type in google translate while holding her down bc she did not speak english, and eventually I called the cops, then the environment shifted and I was basement of a home where the father was trying to kill us (I was the daughter but there was also the wife and son), I hid in the bathroom, took some type of drugs that reduced the noise of my breathing but turned my eyes like wide open and p blood shot, he entered the bathroom checking around, somehow I was able to just stand so still or crouch that his eyes just glazed over me, and he was leaving the brother comes over with a fiery orange hot fireplace poker and stabs him and pushed him into a woodpile to hold him down, we all run up to the top of the stairs, and for some reason the wife and the son agree not to call the cops bc it would ruin their public opinion and their convinced they can get him back to his senses. The end

So apparently there's a homophobe at my workplace, that thought i was "staring at him" bc he told HR "i was staring at him and I make him uncomfortable."

Like bro you're so not on my radar? I'm just a social person, and as i walk through the production floor, i like to make friendly eye contact and nod hellos from time to time. and i walk through most of the building daily, multiple times a day. I'm bound to bump into people multiple times. if you caught me glancing at you, like?? it was just a glance???? Like, "oh there's that guy with the face peircing, okay moving on with my thing" and THATS IT?? like wtf? Staring??? STARING AT YOU?????? please. you wish. and i made you "uncomfortable" for just being my friendly self? THE FUCK? Okay my only explanation is you're a homophobe, and like a fragile one too.

[I have a few rainbow pins on my jacket, its not a secret but with the exception of the pins, that like the only thing that confirms im not straight]

Ugh, anyway, i was shaking and holding back tears when i got back to my desk, cos i was called up for some bullshit that was CLEARLY homophobic paranoia. But ofc neither HR, nor my Lead can call him out on it, bc he kept his complaint about me vague. and i could tell they were thinking what i was thinking too, based on how the conversation went, but they intentionally skirted around it, bc their hands were tied by the fact that he did keep it vague, and because of "plausible deniability" (im assuming) they can't actually prove it was homophobia.

[which is like so fuckin ugh... But im at least comforted that my lead and manager were both on my side on the the matter, and advised me to just ignore him and avoid him whenever possible.]

Hi guys! I wanted to have a fun little silly read on what their cuddle habits are! It's cute and light and soft so I thought it might be nice!

I think too he's very vigilant and whomever he is cuddling he is very aware of how to maximize the other person's comfort?

Like it almost seems for him, he'd be fine without cuddles

It's just not important to him as much as it is for others

But he knows that some people feel good when they get cuddles

All this to say

He doesn't preticularly seek out cuddles and prefers to be the one doing the cuddling

Free! The Final Stroke screeching/reaction (spoilers)

AHHHHH I JUST WATCHED THE FINAL STROKE MOVIE TODAY IN THEATERS ON PREMIER DAY AND IT WAS LAKSJDFOAIFJWOEI to summarize it all, it was Very Gay, which was to be expected but they DID NOT have to get so freaking extra with it 😩😩😩

much screaming and many spoilers ahead

FIRST OF ALL, KIRISHIMA NATSUYA: HE WAS SO FUCKING HANDSOME DAFKJOIEFJOSIDJF. SO HANDSOME. SO HANDSOME AND STUPID AND OVERLY FRIENDLY AS WE LOVE HIM TO BE ALKDSJFOAIEW.

he was in the film for a total of maybe 5 minutes altogether, which was kind of a lot bc the film kind of was just putting all the characters back in for the sake of putting them in imo? for the fans, lol. so everyone could see their faves. and in these five minutes that he appeared, our mans:

bragged about his little brother he's so proud of

got laughed at by nao for being natsuya (aka dumb and straightforward) as usual

trained with sousuke (he was hanging out in the same pool with him, nao, and makoto to train and aid in sousuke's rehab training)

got a call from ikuya after the international swimming competition in sydney!!!! in that same cafe he's always at!!!! and he was with nao at the time he got the call. casual and cool as always, being the cool big brother or whatever. he ended the call with a curt, "you got it. see you. don't catch a cold."

HE WAS HANGING OUT AT CAFE MARON WHILE THEY WAITED FOR THE SYDNEY COMPETITORS TO COME BACK TO JAPAN. HE WAS BEHIND THE COUNTER WITH ASAHI (WHO WAS HOLDING BABY TSUKIMI IN A CARRIER ON HIS CHEST!!!!!) AND HE THREW HIS ARM AROUND ASAHI AND WAS GETTING SO CLOSE LIKE ALKSDJFAOIEJAOEI. I have absolutely no clue what he was saying at the time bc i was too busy freaking out and trying to hold in the sounds bc the theater was so quiet. but his GODDAMN FACE. HE WAS SMIRKING. SO HANDSOME 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

and of fucking course, they were all out together at a restaurant when the sydney competitors came back, and he was like, "wth no one else is drinking alcohol tonight?" and nao was like "ofc not haha" AND YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

HE FUCKING FALLS ASLEEP AT THE TABLE AFTER DRINKING AND EVERYONE IS SURROUNDING HIM AND PATTING HIM LIKE "dude..." and ikuya is sitting there like, omg can't believe this mess is my brother....

i thought that just might be his last scene in the film but then we show back up to the kirishima household and natsuya is eating some sort of luxury holiday(?) bento and ikuya is like "aren't you gonna save any for me?" and natsuya's like "of course not. this is for me, you gotta wait until next year xD" and then ikuya just fucking SNATCHES up several different foods and stuffs his face with all of them and natsuya starts arguing with him over them laskjdfoawiefjao where was this brotherly affection all this time?????

and then cut to a few seconds later, natsuya's bumming in his room on the floor like in s3 when ikuya comes in and tells him about his new future goals and alskdjfaoei brothers sharing their ambitions together 😩😩 WHAT IS GOING ON. EVERYONE GETS ALONG SO WELL NOW???

NEXT: we'll go back to the beginning i guess lmfao but they're preparing for some sort of university festival

we start off with an easily misunderstandable shoujo-style situation where asahi is talking to ikuya like, "i know it's your first time... you don't have to be nervous. i know you can do it." and ikuya's like "no! i can't 😣" like the tsun he is backed up against the wall. and then it turns out they're trying to make a mille feuille cake.... but everything he's made so far looked like crepes

and for some damn reason, KISUMI comes outta nowhere into the kitchen and is like "ooooh what's this? a mille feuille cake? although they all look kinda like crepes haha ^^" and then ikuya RUNS THE FUCK OUT OF THE KITCHEN, yelling, "i told you i couldn't do it!!!" like the fucking tsun he is... and asahi is yelling at kisumi like "why did you just say that!!!" and starts rubbing his knuckles into kisumi's head and kisumi's just laughing like, "oh did i do that hehe"

and for some reason... seijuurou is working at the booth in his speedo and swim team jacket. i mean i'm not complaining but sir.... PLS TAKE MY MONEY AND GIVE ME YOUR FAT OCTOPUS BALLS. (he literally started a batter mixing competition with hoshikawa inside the booth, like what are they even doing in the same booth???)

then rin and sousuke show up to ikuya, asahi, and hiyori(?)'s booth, and they're offering them the crepes and then they get into a conversation about smth that leads into them showing the embarrassing photos they have of each other?????? like ikuya has a pic of rin in his maid costume for some reason??? (tho it isn't shown) and rin shows an embarrassing pic of ikuya he has in his phone that he got from natsuya???????????? and then ikuya starts chasing after rin yelling at him to delete it lasdkjfoaei

and then haru is off to the side selling ugly ass bird mascots again lmfao. bc ofc he is. love that weirdo

BUT THE REAL KICKER HERE IS KINJOU!!!!!!!!!!!

APPARENTLY, HIS VILLAIN BACKSTORY COMES FROM HIS CHILDHOOD CRUSH (/exaggerated) ON HIYORI ALSKDJFOAIE WHAAAT. apparently he was that annoying kid in the playground who would go up to hiyori and bother him bc he wanted a friend. bb hiyori was literally like "why are you even talking to me so much?" in his sandbox. and bb kinjou is like, "well there's gotta be smth you like, right? what is it?" and hiyori's like "well i feel kinda happy when i'm swimming... :)" as images of ikuya flash into his mind, that gay ass

BUT KINJOU'S GAY ASS EYES START SPARKLING TOO AND THEN HE'S LIKE "I GOTTA LEARN WHAT THE BIG DEAL ABOUT SWIMMING IS" and he runs home, begs his brother to take him to the pool. but next time he brings his swimming stuff with him to the playground, hiyori isn't there anymore and apparently he left for america at that time (or smth). so poor baby basically got ghosted

but hiyori still knows him when they're older!!!! kinjou shows up when they're throwing out the trash after the uni festival and calls out to hiyori to taught him (which is where that bullying preview scene came from i guess) and alkfjeoiaejoaifj omfg it's like that estranged childhood friends (sorta) trope but it'll never go kinjou's way bc hiyori is and will always be in love with ikuya 😔

kinjou would make such a good yandere tho!!!! he has a feral expression on a few times throughout the movie, and during a race he gets super competitive mid-race and... ngl he was kinda sexy 😳 i'm actually kind of surprised by how taken i was with him in this movie. doesn't help that he's unfairly handsome and his hair looks fucking amazing. i MAY OR MAY NOT be exploring this man in the future..................

i also found the ending with haru pretty interesting!!!! it kind of hints at neurodivergence? smth along the lines of disassociation or multiple personalities? (guess 50% off was kinda right on that end lmfao).

he gets obsessed with beating albert wahlander, which is the most fired up i've ever seen him (to the point of almost hurting himself) and then the shadow or whatever effect albert has on haru kind of just overtakes him and pushes haru out of his own body in a way... it doesn't make sense to describe it this way, i know, but haru is literally watching himself say hurtful things to his friends while being overtaken by this... albert obsessed persona?

it's so interesting to see haru being the one obsessing over someone instead of the other way around for once!!! at the end of the movie (after all the credits) haru says the same thing he once said at the beginning of season 1? about how "at age 5, you're a prodigy. at age 15, you're a genius. at age 20(?), you're average." and this is def gonna be explored/concluded in the second part of the final stroke movie so i'm excited for that!!!! april 2022 come at me!!!!

there were SOOOOO many other things going on, plot wise and fanservice wise, and ofc kyoto animation was fucking TOP TIER SHIT. all the water effects... there was a shot where haru was looking at his reflection in the water and they make a drop fall and spread and shake his reflection in the waves and it was lafkjsefoiaeja fucking glorious. the soundtrack was lovely too. there was a RADWIMPS-esque beginning song and a sexy ass electric guitar buildup for kinjou (which may or may not be contributing to my growing obsession with him...)

AHHHH!!!! it was so good and everyone was so cute and handsome and gay and funny. we literally see every single character we've met before in some way, shape, or form lmfao. i might just go back to the theater and watch it again on one of the upcoming holidays this week.... SO GOOD. SO GOOD.

Hello apologies for how long this will be but I just hoped for your thoughts on something…ok so I haven’t posted / reblogged anything on tumblr since 2018 (but have still lurked lol) and instead been using Twitter (I know I know lol) buttt I haven’t been enjoying it for a while bc I feel like everyone there is just so negative and everyone I was friends / mutuals with now has either moved on from dnp or is kinda shitty toward them (like I just went on and soo many people being horrible to Phil about his new members post 🙁) And it feels impossible to find new people to follow bc apparently nice friendly adult phannies who actually still like dnp are v hard to come by. 10. most enjoyable swear word in your native language? For me that is "kut" - which translates to "cunt" but is used in a very different way. The English version seems to be used to devalue a particular woman. In Dutch it's more used in the way "that sucks" or "oh shit" are used. A fun fact related to this topic is that my country stands out for being big on swearing with diseases. Pretty acceptable are "tyfus" (typhoid) and "k'lere" (cholera). In recent years however "kanker" (cancer) because most popular, while also being widely disputed as many people have seen a lost one suffer/die from that disease and thus find it hurtful.

24. what other nation is joked about most often in your country? When I was a kid it was Belgium - for the general 'our neighbors are dumb' stuff. Both then and now a popular choice has also been Germany. Some of the jokes are relatively harmless, commenting on actual cultural differences. Some of them seem to (unknowingly) refer back to Nazi Germany however (the joke about how all of their language is headless shouting for example) and those bother me. Our countries are besties now (we even fucked our daylight hours bc we wanted to share a timezone with them), but there is a complicated history there. The Netherlands wanted to stay neutral throughout WWII (as they did during WWI), but got quickly invaded and taken over by Nazi Germany. During most of the war our country was simply occupied. There were factions which were all too glad to join the Nazi ideology (hence why there is almost no Jewish community in our country :'() and another faction constantly organized a secret resistance. When the war was over not only were Nazis punished, but also everyone who was deemed to have been too friendly with Germans (women who were thought to have been involved with a German were dragged into the street and publicly humiliated). In recent years - I would say around the time Trump got elected - America also became a popular target for jokes, mostly expressing the disbelief about how much of a dumpster fire it seems to be over there. 3. does your country have access to sea? Yes! The entire Western and Northern borders are made up by the sea. On the Western end this is the North Sea, and on the Northern end there is a special patch of sea between the Nothern most part of the main land and the islands. It's called the Wadden Sea. It's included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. What makes it so special is that during low tide large parts of it dry up, making it technically possible to walk from the main land to the islands. Another interesting fact is that large parts of our country - certainly the parts where most important commerce take place - are situated below sea level. Our ancestors must have been stubborn people, as they learned to protect the land from being taken by the sea. My country has become really good at that and now has an international reputation of being the guys to hire if you want to fight off the sea. We've become so good at it in fact, that we turned a third piece of sea we had access to into a lake, and then raised an entire province there. Yep, between the 1940s and 1960s it was just decided it would be nice to have some more land, so it was just goddamn made? It's the largest manmade island in the world now.
