First, Reyna has the longest and THICKEST hair known to mankind Thalia love playing with her hair so soon enough she starts watching tutorials and then Reyna just walks around with the MOST intricate hairstyles ever.

Second, Thalia’s hair starts to grow out and it get in her face and when she’s fighting that’s going to be bad so Reyna takes matters into her own hands and decides to let Thalia pick a haircut and Reyna would cut her hair because she used to work for Circe and can do hair really well so when Thalia’s hair starts getting too long she tells Reyna what she wants and Reyna cuts her hair for her.

Third, one night Thalia wakes up in a cold sweat from a nightmare and so Reyna starts stirring and wakes up she finally gets Thalia to relax and tries to get her to sleep again Reyna having grew up near sirens cuz she was working for Circe softly sang Thalia back to bed and when the same thing happens to Reyna Thalia does the same thing so when one of them wakes up from a nightmare the other calms them down and sings them to sleep.

Lastly, Reyna’s love language is food so when Thalia is upset or just really tired Reyna just whips up the BEST tasting food in the entire universe and Thalia wonders how she got so lucky to have Reyna.

The protagonist is an abuse survivor who is a realistic depiction of adhd?He never gets help for his internalized ableism and general self-hatred and his 'soulmate' has so much hubris that she refuses to genuinely compliment him and just insults him all the time and is sometimes even physically violent to him

The girl mc is a genius who is great at fighting and has realistic flaws caused by trauma?Rick potrayed her as ~better than those icky feminine girls~ because she's a nerd and she never get's called out for being asshole to Percy or Rachel or anyone because she's our heroine and she can never be wrong,unlike oh so dumb Percy

Clarisse and Silena intentionally being written as parallels to Achilles and Patroclus?Both of them have male love interests as their endgame,never had their feelings confirmed as romantic and Clarisse got feminized to better suit Chris(and YET...Rick still potrayed the Aphrodite girls as being bad for being girly...G O D)

He adds a darkskinned black girl as an mc and has her love interest be a fat chinese boy?He gives her gold/amber eyes despite both her parents having dark ones and light hair too even though it would make way more sense for her to have black hair since she's from the early 19th century,puts her as the 'team mom' to a bunch of older people and gives their romance a 3 year age difference where they're both minors
