This drabble is part of my summer celebration collection! Prompt: Barbecue Characters featured: Inosuke (Demon Slayer), 2nd person GN Reader Requested by: @blueflamebimbo [a/n]: one but last one!! Getting there!

Another successful mission with your squad called for a little celebration. It had been a while since all of you had done a mission without being utterly exhausted, wounded or getting called up for the next mission immediately. A logical consequence of the increase in demons and a lack of sufficient capable slayers, but it had put a strain on your mental and physical health, as well as the dynamics of this little found family you went on missions with. 

So today, you had picked up some premium meats on the way to your base, and sent the others on their way to find some sides, a grill and other things you could need for a little barbecue party. Within a few hours you had everything set up, the urgency fueled by the thought that you could be called away for the next mission any minute. You wanted to sit down, enjoy the moment, and maybe enjoy a few hours of sleep together with your friends. 

Tanjiro was setting up the chairs, Zenitsu chopping some vegetables, and Inosuke-... come to think of it, you hadn’t seen your boar-headed boyfriend anywhere. You weren’t even sure if he returned from your shopping errand, and you figured there was but one way to figure out if he was actually around or not. 

You started grilling the meat, the warm evening air carrying the smell and -as if it were a summoning spell- you heard some bushes nearby rustle and a familiar boarhead came peeking out. You chuckled at how predictable he was. Within seconds he was standing next to you, arm around your waist, not in a loving gesture per se, but as a way to stand closer to you to keep a better eye on his future meal. You slapped his other hand away as he was reaching for the hot meat, eager to sneak an earlier bite. 

You were sure he was pouting underneath his mask, and you couldn’t help but laugh. Soon you’d be sharing a meal, and for a few moments, everything would be all right.

I don’t like the episode Snotlout’s Angels purely because we go from Astrid “being Astrid” and ready to bludgeon Snotlout from him saying something to her during an argument from him taking her axe, which is one thing, to making the moral about Snotlout being boarheaded about women? When he’s never really shown that much level misogyny before, just a bit of a douchey flirting streak (aimed solely at women because of Haze laws… or character analysis). He’s a boarhead to everyone, he’s Snotlout, I don’t get why they had to do this.

Aymeric de Borel sighs tiredly as he enters his home. His day was very trying, what with his fellow councilmen being particularly boarheaded with the new policies that were proposed in the Chambers. At this rate the progress he wished to see will take many seasons to see some actual change. And here he was hoping Valentione's Day would be a much calmer affair.

He steps into the foyer as he slips off his armored coat and pauses. Blue flower petals rested on the floor, trailing their way to the bedroom. The exhaustion he felt slipped away as he eagerly rushed to the bedroom.

He didn't realize his love would be home today. She has been away for a particularly long adventure that he had sent a box of chocolates and a letter through Moogle Mail. He had been under the belief she wouldn't be home for the holiday, especially when a similar letter arrived yesterday with the most exotic dress wear he has ever seen.

Aymeric opens the door to the bedroom, a gentle smile spreading across his lips as he sees the blue petals resting on their bed in the form of a heart before trailing away to the bathroom. He wonders how long she's been home to have been able to set this all up. Though he may have to ask after he sees whatever his dearest Flower had planned.

"My dear," Aymeric smiles more as he sees the warrior finish filling the bath with hot water. There were several candles set up as well adding to the romantic feeling.

His Camellia turns to look at him and smiles excitedly, her ears flicking with happiness.

"Hello my lord," she says teasingly as she gets up, walking up to him to wrap her arms around his waist, "happy Valentione's Day."

"And a happy Valentione's Day to you," he kisses the top of her head, "how long have you been back?"

"A couple hours. I heard you were in a meeting today and I decided to set this up. I know how stressing they can be," she lets out a soft purr, the sound growing louder when he rubs her back.

"Oh my sweet flower, you are truly a blessing upon my life," Aymeric softly remarks before he reluctantly pulls away. His dear had went through all this effort so he may as well start to enjoy it.

Camellia smiles at him as she watches him strip and sink into the hot water. Once he's settled she moves to sit behind where he rests and massages his shoulders. A groan slipping past her love's lips as she begins to pamper him.

The lovers once again together made it truly a blessed Valentione's Day.

Demon Slayer

Slight mini series based on what I came up with @smuttysunflwerr a day or two ago

Pairing: Reader x Rengoku Kyojuro

Warnings: Violence, fix it, Spoilers, Reader arrives just in time.

Part 2 Part 2.5

Summery: Reader was the closest for backup when a Crow flew to her in regards to the Mugen train Incident. Having to arrive just in time to save the Flame Hashira.

Story:

You had been a slayer for years, a good ten years by now. If there was anything you refused to do, it was die. You had your fill of scars all over your body, and volunteered to take on more than you can handle at times. You’ve killed plenty of Demons, the mark on your hand would reveal that you were a Kinoe. Having mastered Wind Breathing long ago, from a Master dead and gone, and had training under the Current Wind Hashira. 

However you never met anyone else, and you preferred it this way. Less people meant less people to get attached to. 

But you still managed to make friends with random slayers, older people who ran the Wisteria houses. They were extremely grateful whenever you came. 

Even excited to see you hadn’t died yet! You would always drop anything to help out when you could. 

One day you got a Crow, Hashira and other Hinoto calling for backup for a Train wreck, You nodded to the crow, “On my way, see about gathering other Slayers for assistance and even some Kakushi!” You thrusted the bird into the air, using Total concentration breathing to carry you off into the night into the direction of the incident. Arriving there you came to young slayers, one on the ground trying to get up, one standing and watching a fight in aw. “What’s the situation?”

“We defeated Lower Moon 1, Upper Moon 3 showed up!” The young sun kissed boy exclaimed holding his side and tried to stand. 

You shook your head, “Rest up.”

“Please help Rengoku-Sama!” 

That was the Flame Hashira right? It’s bad if he needed more backup. You rushed forward as you heard laughter, a massive flame surrounding the Flame Hashira, who was clearly hurt. “Seventh Form!” you cried out catching the two men offguard as you jumped over Rengoku, “GALE SUDDEN BLAZING GUSTS!” Creating flaming gale force blazing winds from Rengoku’s Ninth form to the pink haired tattooed demon in front of the man. Aiming to shred up the Demon. The Demon got hit, his clothes singed, cuts healed up, you didn’t even look back, “Sir! Please retreat and get medical aid! Backup is on their way! I’ll hold him off!”

Rengoku, breathing heavily, stared at you wide eyed, “You can’t! He’s too strong!”

You charged the Demon with a Primary gale slash, however the demon flipped over you, ignoring you and heading for the Hashira. “So cute you think you can hurt me.” He landed on the ground between you and Kyojuro causing you to turn around sharply, “My business is with Kyojuro not you.”

Your eyes narrowed, “Now your business is with me!”

Using Primary Gale Slash again, the demon got hit, causing it to growl out, he moved to punch you, but you used your sword as a weight, shoved down into the ground to stop you from moving into the punch. The demon looked impressed, but his eyes narrowed into the skyline. “Shit…”

Seeing The boarheaded boy from earlier launching himself into the air, you quickly went to grab the Demon in an Armlock. “NOW!” You cried out. You weren't strong enough to behead him, however the Boarheaded one could with your assistance!

The demon’s eyes widened watching the boy fly at him, instead, he moved to grab your arm, and flung you into the air and at the Boarheaded boy. Your head collided with his diaphragm and the both of you fell to the ground like bricks. 

Wincing you came around with Daylight and the Kakushi carrying you on their back to the butterfly estate. “Is…the Hashira alive?” 

“Worry about yourself!” the Kakushi huffed back. 

You twitched at that. “What were the casualties?” 

“Worry about that later!”  

Okay you really didn’t like the Kakushi that was handling you. However you managed to pass out again regardless. 

You winced upon waking up. Someone was wrapping your ribs. “You’re awake! Now the boys can relax!”

You frowned at that, wincing as a headache hit you. “I feel like I collided with a train…”

You glanced up noting it was the Insect Hashira. “(Last name), you have three broken ribs, and a concussion from hitting your head off of Hashibira-Kun. I need you to please take it easy. And remember to drink your medicine, it’ll help with the pain.”

You nodded, “Of course Kocho-sama….Could you tell me if the other Hashira is alive?”

She tilted her head, her usual smile plastered on her face, “Rengoku-sama is alive and recovering.”  You grunted sitting up better, “I said relax! Not over exert yourself!” 

“It’s just ribs, and the Hinoto that was with him?” You brushed her concern off. You could see a small vein rise one her face. 

“They are alive as well, now do not make me give you a sedative (Last Name)-San” 

You sighed, laying back down annoyed. Shinobu left you be, and it was barely two minutes when there was a knock on your door. “Come in,”

Four kids walked in, one holding his side while the other two seemed to be walking alright. The girl looked up at you brightly, grabbing your hand and placing it on her head. You softly smiled at that as you patted her hair, and ran your fingers through it. “May I help you kids?” Focused on the teens you didn’t notice the other presence at the door. 

Tanjiro gave you a smile, “I am Kamado Tanjiro! I wanted to thank you for getting there in time!” He bowed but winced, causing you to jump up and wince as well. 

“Shouldn’t you be resting Boyo? You’re hurt!”

“So are you!” Tanjiro twitched, causing you to scoff. 

“I only have broken ribs and a concussion from the Boar. You are clearly bleeding!”

You heard a pained laugh and you looked up, your eyes locked onto sunsets and your heart skipped a beat, as with his. Two of the boys Tanjiro and the blond exchanged looks between you two and themselves. 

The blond nodded, “She’s right! Tanjiro, you need to rest!” he went to drag Tanjiro and the boar away causing you to be confused. The young girl scuffled out after the three. 

The flame haired man sat beside you. “That was highly wreckless of you (Last name), you could have been killed.” His ribs clearly injured as well from his battle with the demon. 

You smiled, “Yes, well I didn’t.” You closed your eyes, focusing your breathing on healing yourself. You held your hand out from the side, “Nice to meet you Rengoku-sama. So, what was the casualties? No one has answered me yet.”

Rengoku grasped your hand feeling as if he got shocked by touching you. Letting go he flexed his hand blushing lightly. “No Casualties! Some were injured but overall everyone lived! Thank you for responding as fast as you did!”

You smiled at that before you frowned, “Sorry I let the demon get away…”

Rengoku moved to pat your shoulder lightly, feeling the electricity again. “Don’t be! You held your own, and everyone is alive! One Kizuki is dead, and that is the best scenario we can ask for! Just rest up! You’ve done well!”

The praise made your heart skip, and you nodded, “I think I’m going to rest…”

“I will do the same! I hope we get paired up on missions in the future! The modified Wind technique you did with my flame breathing was highly impressive!” 

Oh god, your heart needed to stop this skipping. “I hope so too Rengoku-sama”
