||synopsis: You’re caught completely off guard when ____ calls you by a pet name/compliments you. Most people wouldn’t get caught off guard by this, but the two of you aren’t even in a relationship yet. It just slipped out of their mouth. ➳ (before the confession scenario)

♡He’s in love with you, and as his first priority is being a demon slayer to turn Nezuko back into a human, he does the best he could to hide the feelings and/or ignore them.

♡Of course he wants to be with you after this is all over. Actually, he wants to get with you as fast as he could. (But priorities first! …right?)

♡At first, he was embarrassed when he called you, not by your name. Although all that previous embarrassment was quick to wash away after he saw your reaction. Now he just has to hope he doesn’t fall for you even harder.

You hummed silently to yourself while on the very top of the ladder, hanging up colorful decorations all of the butterfly mansion. With the idea from Aoi and Kanao, everyone was decorating the estate as a surprise for Shinobu. It was your job to hang decorations, Aoi to bake, and Kanao to pass out invitations to the Hashira’s.

“Y/n! Be careful!” Tanjiro who had been below you was holding onto the wobbling ladder you were standing on. He had helped you already hang up banners in half the estate. Now there was only the other half to go. And despite you being the one on the top of the latter, Tanjiro seemed to be way more anxious at you being up there.

Your body stretched forward in an attempt to hook up the end of the lavender banner to the other side of the wall. Without realizing, you began to wobble in the slightest, stressing out Tanjiro in fear of you falling.

“Dear, be careful!” You quickly paused your actions. Thankfully, you had already hooked up the end of the banner. You felt your face get hot as you looked down at Tanjiro, checking to see if he had coincidentally called someone else dear. But he had been staring right at you.

At first, he seemed confused on why you became to flustered out of no where. Until he realized what he said. His own face turned a dark red as he tried to explain himself. But he only became a stuttering mess.

Taisho Secret!: After what happened you tripped off of the ladder in embarrassment and Tanjiro had to catch you, making him blush more.

˚ʚagatsuma zenitsuɞ˚

♡Let’s be completely honest, he’s head over heels in love with you and not afraid to show it. He calls you pet names all the time. He calls you his love, future lover, and his soulmate.

♡Sure the first time he called you a cute name and complimented you, you blushed profusely. But eventually, you got used to the pet names.

♡Zenitsu, for one, will never forget the day you got flustered from him calling you a pet name. As for you, you tried your best to forget it at how embarrassing the whole scenario had been.

You laid on the soft futon on the floor, zenitsu’s futon being right beside yours as tanjiro’s was on Zenitsu’s side, Inosuke being on the other end. You had a long night and were mostly just happy you made friends and wouldn’t be alone on your journey as a demon slayer.

However one thing that had made your day seem extra slow and long was one of the boys you met. Zenitsu. He was adorable but he was relentless in trying to get you to be his spouse.

Your back had been facing zenitsu as you were trying to finally get some sleep. That was until zenitsu snapped you out of your thoughts by poking your back repeatedly. With a small sigh you turned the other way to face Zenitsu.

As every other time you saw him, he had tears in his eyes. “What happened, Zenitsu?” You asked, your eyes half lidded as you just wanted sleep. It took everything in you to not pass out in the middle of your conversation with him.

That conversation had mostly just been him talking to you. But you couldn’t pay attention to a single thing you said. “Love? Are you okay?” Your eyes suddenly widened as you felt yourself blush.

“AWW! YOU’RE BLUSHING!”

“Zenitsu, Go to sleep!” Tanjiro yelled, throwing a pillow right at the boys head as Inosuke began laughing loudly.

Taisho Secret!: Zenitsu teased you about your flustered state for weeks and wouldn’t drop the topic. He believed even more that you two were meant for each other.

˚ʚhashibira inosukeɞ˚

♡In a situation like this with him, your most definitely not going to be the embarrassed one, even if it is you that received the compliment.

♡Inosuke has pride. A lot of pride. So the moment he ‘accidentally’ compliments you, his face is secretly burning a bright red. Thankfully his boat mask had been there to cover for him.

♡Getting a compliment from inosuke doesn’t happen very often. Especially when the two of you aren’t even in a relationship together. So you better cherish the moment while you can.

Inosuke calling you strong was just about the only compliment you received from him. And sometimes, it didn’t even seem like a compliment with the way he sounds so sarcastic and whenever he says it. And he also always brings up his own strength in the ‘compliment’ calling himself stronger than you.

And from Inosuke, you never would have expected to get a non-sarcastic compliment. Especially when it comes to your looks.

You, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and him all planned on going to a small festival nearby just for the fun of it. And for a break from slaying demons. And as the only thing you wear every day now being the demon slayer uniform, you didn’t think it would hurt to dress up a little.

Being out of the corps uniform felt comforting in a way. Despite still having to bring your katana just in case, it felt nice to feel like a normal person your age.

You walked outside, seeing only inosuke outside, dressed up and out of the usual pants he would wear. But the boar mask remained. You stood beside the boy, waiting for the other two to come.

“You look pretty..” You heard a Mutter from inosuke, making you shocked. You turned over to the boy with a questioning look on your face.

“Did you-“

“No!” He yelled quickly, crossing his arms. A small blush dusted your cheeks as you moved your arms over to his boar mask to take it off. The moment you did, you noticed his red face making yourself turn red as well.

Taisho Secret!: When Inosuke told you that you looked pretty, Tanjiro heard and brought it up to you during the festival making your face turn pink. Inosuke saw and felt a little jealous but he’ll never admit that.

˚ʚshinazugawa genyaɞ˚

♡He spoke without thinking. And the very moment it slipped out of his mouth, it took no time for him to turn the darkest shade or red.

♡You immediately turned a light red but the moment Genya began apologizing for calling you that and assumingely making you uncomfortable, you felt really bad.

♡100% had to assure him multiple times that it was completely fine and you didn’t mine one bit. He stopped apologizing but he was stiff as a board the entire day as he couldn’t shake off what had happened.

You and Genya had both chosen to visit a small lake that day. The two of you were simply in the water, splashing each other and staying afloat.

While not paying attention, you didn’t realize Genya staring at you with a small smile on his face. The moment you saw, your head tilted to the side. You eventually waved your hands in his face to break him out of his small trance.

Although even that didn’t really seem to work.

“Genya?” You asked before moving your hand back to your side.

“You’re so lovely.”

He paused. You paused. His face slowly turned a dark red and so did you. He was quick to put his hands up in defense.

“I’M SORRY!-“

“NO GENYA, DON’T WORRY-“

Taisho Secret!: Genya was ashamed thinking he may have upset you. So when the little lake day ended, he felt super guilty, thinking he made things awkward. Sanemi soon got worried at his brothers embarrassed state but Genya refused to say what was wrong.

˚ʚtokito muichiroɞ˚

♡Poor Muichiro has horrible memory and everyone knows that. In some cases, having horrible memory can be a good thing, and in other cases, it’s really bad. For obvious reasons, it’s mostly bad.

♡But when this happened, Muichiro had a win win situation. Muichiro cares deeply about you and out of all the Hashira’s, he only ever hangs out with you. For that reason your company means a lot to him, even if neither of you knew it.

♡Mitsuri and Tengen had also both informed Muichiro about his feelings for you. So when he found out he was in love with you, he sort of forgot that he wasn’t dating you. More so with the way you’re both always clingy to each other.

You walked around the main garden with nothing else to do. Muichiro was practically clinging onto your arm as he too had nothing else to do. Honestly, unexpected visits from him had gotten normal so you never payed much attention to it.

After a while of walking around, you took a small seat on the grass, Muichiro soon after sat right next to you, a blank expression on his face as he put his head on your shoulder.

It was something he always did. It took a while of getting used to it as your face would always flush at first. Now it had been comforting.

“Love, what are you doing tomorrow?” Muichiro asked, gazing up at the sky as his head was still placed on your shoulder.

“I-“ Right when you about to answer, you paused. Your face slowly began turning a light shade of red as you stiffened. Muichiro felt it, soon after bringing his head off your shoulder. He gave you a small head tilt, amused at your reaction.

“Mui..?” You asked, waiting to see if he even realized what he said. With the amused expression, you were sure he did. “You called me-“

“Are we not dating?” His amused expression faltered as he gave you a more genuinely confused one. You blushed more, not sure at what to say.

Taisho Secret!: Since Muichiro never got a direct answer from you, he spent and entire month thinking the two of you were dating and so Mitsuri had to later explain he hadn’t asked you out yet. Maybe that’s why you got so embarrassed when Muichiro told Zenitsu the two of you were dating.

• You confessed your feelings first because Tanjiro was so nervous that you couldn’t understand a single word from him.

• As your boyfriend, he is the best gentleman you’ve ever met. Want some tea? He’s already on it. Feeling sick? He’s taking take of you. He loves taking care of you.

• His red flag? Well, he doesn’t like your missions. After all he went through with his family, he’s really scared of death :(. It’s not such a bad thing, but he really hesitates all your missions.

• When you come back, he’ll cook your favourite food and will take a nap all day long with you.

• His green flag? EVERYTHING. He was comprehensive and know how to express himself in a good way. He’s a husband material of course.

• He loves how you smell. When you’re sleeping with him, he loves how your hair smells.

• Tanjiro, Nezuko and you are just a new small family. Tanjiro would kill for you two, but he always denies it.

Inosuke:

• He’s a tough guy, you know?

• He confessed his feelings first, but it was kinda weird because he just said “I like you. You are mine now!!” And the rest is just history.

• He knows you’re the one because he’s a better person with you by his side.

• You teaches him how to write, so he sometimes send you letter from a mission far away from home, and it would be like:

“Betterrr be missinng mee, asshole “

• When he comes home, he would bring food and eat it with you. He also would tell you everything about the mission (and maybe exaggerates about some little details, but it’s funny tbh)

• Red flag? He doesn’t know how to express his feeling very well. He knows he’s a tough guy and doesn’t know how to be a perfect boyfriend, but he tries for you.

• You two always end your fights with a forehead kiss and go to sleep. Fighting is really tiring indeed.

• Green flag? He’s open to everything and want to learn more and more, and I have the feeling that he cooks very well.

• He can’t see himself with somebody else. He just imagines a life with you and that’s how it would be.

Zenitsu:

• Oh boy….

• It’s pretty obvious who confessed first, isn’t it?

• You were so tired of hearing him that you just kissed him in response. (He passed out for a couple of minutes).

• He loves gifting you flowers. Every single flower in the village is on your bedroom. It smells amazing so you don’t complain.

• Red flag? He would do anything to please you. Even silly things that you said as a joke. You have to remind him that you’re not perfect and you also make mistakes.

• Green flag? Even though he’s a chicken, he transforms himself into a hero when you’re in trouble. And he always improves your self-steem when feeling lonely.

• He really makes your days better. You used to be a lonely person but now you have someone literally screaming “Why so pretty??? I can’t take it anymore”

• He wouldn’t write you letters. He tried really hard but cried everytime. Zenitsu can’t spend a whole week without you. It’s the most annoying person in the world.

The butterfly girls trick Inosuke into kissing you.

Inosuke was out training in the courtyard when he heard some whispering behind him. He quickly turned around to see Sumi, Kiyo, and Naho deciding who should be the one to approach him.

“What’s going on?” He asked. The girls jumped in surprise.

“OH! Umm...” They all three looked at each other. “We were just hoping that maybe you could help us by telling y/n something.” Sumi explained.

“What do you need me to tell her?”

“It’s just that we accidently broke one of their favorite vases this morning... and we thought maybe if you told them they wouldn’t be as upset." Kiyo said and the other two girls nodded in unison.

“Hmm that makes sense they wouldn't be able to take me in a fight.” Inosuke said and puffed out his chest.

“Uhhh right...” The three girls agreed and giggled knowing Inosuke was completely oblivious as to why they asked him to tell you. The girls had noticed you had taken a liking to him.

“Alright I'll go tell them now then.” He said and began to walk off.

“Wait!” Naho called. “You should also give them a kiss if it seems like they might still get mad at us!” She yelled and the other two girls giggled even harder than before.

“Uhh sure.” Inosuke said. He had a vague idea of what that meant but had no idea why that would keep you from getting mad about the vase. He walked off to find you and the three girls followed to watch.

Inosuke approached you while you were hanging clothes up outside to dry.

“HEY!” He called.

“Oh hi Inosuke, what do you need?” You asked.

“I need to tell you that your vase broke.”

“Were you training inside again??”

“What no! I didn’t break anything!”

“Mhm likely story Inosuke.” You said and rolled your eyes. Inosuke took this as a sign that you were still angry and moved closer to you.

“Hu?” You stepped back confused by his movements, but he moved closer still until the snout of his mask was pressed to your cheek. It was then you heard the giggles of Sumi, Kiyo, and Naho. You turned to see them hiding behind a tree.

“Is that good?’ He turned and asked the giggling girls.

“What?” You asked totally confused.

“They said I should kiss you if it looked like you were getting mad about the vase.” He explained.

You felt your face get hot.

“YOU THREE I’VE HAD IT!” You said and ran after them. The three girls took off running.

Inosuke stood in the same spot confused. Had he done something bad?

Later in the day, after you had given the three girls an ear full, you were preparing dinner. Insouke walked in and startled you.

“OH!” You jumped when you turned around to see him standing behind you. “Hi, sorry I didn’t hear you. Don’t worry, the food is almost ready.”

“That’s not why I'm here.” He said. This took you off guard. Food was always on Inosuke’s mind.

“What can I do for you then?” You asked. Still feeling embarrassed about early. Had he realized that the girls asked him to tell you about the vase because you liked him?

“Did I do something wrong?” He asked.

“What do you mean something wrong?”

“Did you not like that I kissed you.” He explained. He was wondering if that was wrong?? Of course not... I mean that wasn’t REALLY a kiss but it was what Inosuke thought was a kiss. Did he think you didn’t want to kiss him? Does that mean that he wanted to kiss you on his own and not just because of the influence of the three girls?

“No that wasn’t the problem Inosuke.” You tried to explain but this seemed to anger him.

“Then what is the problem?? Have I not shown my strength? Have I not given you the prettiest leaves and acorns??”

You found yourself giggling at that last part. You remembered the other day when he brought some leaves to hand to you and ran off, but it didn’t occur to you that it was Inoskue's way of showing interest.

“NOW YOU ARE LAUGHING AT ME!”

“No no no! I’m not laughing at you Insouke!” You said, grabbing his hand to try and calm him down. “I’m laughing because I'm the one that wasn’t understanding. I didn’t realize...”

“Realize what?” He asked. You weren’t sure how to explain in words so you decided to show him instead. You pulled up his mask to rest on top of his head and squeezed his hand tighter. Inosuke watched you intently with frustration still in his eyes. You moved closer to him.

“Is it ok if I kiss you this time?” You asked. He didn’t say a word but nodded and you watched as his frustrated expression turned to curiosity and anticipation. You gently pressed your lips to his and pulled away after a few moments. Inosuke smiled.

“I like your kisses better.” He said. You smiled back at him and had long forgotten about your favorite vase breaking.

a/n: i really enjoy inosuke. when i first started watching the series, i was enjoying it and everything, but inosuke's introduction was where i felt like i went from casually enjoying the series to knowing i was gonna become obsessed with it. and after i finished reading the manga, i love genya a lot. he's so precious and i thought it would be fun to write a character like him into a scenario like this. enjoy~

TANJIRO KAMADO

Having a crush on Tanjiro is very easy because he’s a very kind and likable person, who would easily open up to you as a dear friend.

Tanjiro is definitely oblivious to your feelings towards him at first. Because he's oblivious to his own feelings. He likes you, a lot. But, he likes a lot of people, almost everyone in fact. It takes him a while to figure out that he likes you in a romantic way before he understands how you feel.

“I like you, Tanjiro,” you confess.

He smiles, widely. It’s nice to know his friend who he cares so deeply about also holds him in high regard. “I like you too, (Y/N).”

And in your mind he just returned your feelings, and so you embrace him. Tanjiro hugs you back, thinking, aw this is nice.

Then you pulled back to give him a peck on the lips.

Tanjiro’s eyes widened and his entire body went stiff. Friends don’t kiss each other on the mouth, he thinks. The only people he had ever seen kiss on the mouth before were his mother and father.

Finally, he got a clue. You didn’t like him as a friend, you like liked him, the way his mother and father loved one another. That was the unique feeling he had felt towards you and that you felt towards him.

Then he kisses you back, leaving you none the wiser.

Two years into your relationship is when you learnt that Tanjiro had basically started dating you by accident.

INOSUKE HASHIBIRA

Do not expect this wild man to figure out you are crushing on him.

He can sense that you behave differently around him than others like your heart rate is elevated, and you appear more flushed. But he would assume you are intimidated by the King of the Mountains.

If you’re crushing on Inosuke, the best way to get his attention and, ideally, earn his affection is to prove to him that you are a strong person. Inosuke is attracted to strong people, whether that’s being physically strong or even just having a strong personality.

Also, feeding him. Kinda like a stray dog.

When you finally get the courage to confess to him and say, “I like you”. He just kinda stares at you, waiting for you to give him your news.

Like, he already knew you liked him. Of course, you did. He’s great.

When he tells Zenitsu and Tanjiro about it, the former freaks out at how stupid Inosuke is. Tanjiro explains that you like him in a romantic way, and suddenly the little wheels in Inosuke’s head finally turn.

Everything Inosuke probably knows about courting a mate comes from observing animals in the mountains. So, he probably brings you some berries and nuts he foraged. And, like, a dead squirrel.

He picked a fight with Tanjiro and Zenitsu right in front of you to show you that he could give you the strongest children.

Eventually, you realize that this is Inosuke’s way of telling you that he returns your feelings. This is great because, at first, you were heartbroken that he rejected your confession. Then you were profoundly confused.

For the rest of the day, Inosuke walks around with you with his chest puffed out, loudly marking his territory so everyone knows you're his.

GENYA SHINAZUGAWA

Your crush began when you realized that beneath his tough and aggressive appearing exterior, he’s actually quite soft and kind.

Unfortunately, trying to get closer to Genya is very difficult.

Anytime you try to talk to Genya, his brain stops functioning. All he can think is “(Y/N) is talking to me, she looks so cute and smells so nice. Wait, what is she saying? Oh no! I wasn’t listening! Wait, she’s looking at me! She’s waiting for a response! She has such pretty eyes-”

From your perspective, he’s just standing there with flushed cheeks barely getting mumbles out as he tries to hide away.

Genya’s mutual crush on you is evident to everyone on planet earth, actually. He lacks the ability to be subtle about it.

And unless you’re as dense as a doorknob, you realize it too.

Or you don’t and Gyomei tells you, so that you can unburden Genya by either returning his feelings or rejecting them (Gyomei is a lowkey shipper, he always knows who's crushing on who and he’s never wrong).

You decide to confess because you realize that if you don’t, Genya might never be able to do so. Bby boy can fight demons daily but can barely say a complete sentence in your presence. You need to take the first step.

When you ask to speak with him, he freezes again and starts mumbling, and you decide to just push forward with your confession.

“I like you, Genya.”

Excuse me? What did you say? It’s already so hard for Genya to properly focus when you are standing so close to him, but he swore that you said that you “liked” him? Which doesn’t seem possible.

“Y-you do?” He asked, his voice was so quiet and unsure.

You nod, excitedly. The corners of Genya’s mouth quirk up into a shy smile, he can’t believe a cute, incredible, and kind girl likes him. He turns deep red and just kinda nods, “yeah.”

If you hug him, he may die of happiness.

Watch It! - KNY Headcanons

Somebody just shove you aggressively in a club. They spare you a glance, laugh, and walk away. Of course, your partner will not let it go just like that... In other words, what KNY characters say and/or do to defend you from intoxicated, insufferable people in a club.

Featuring: Aged up Kamaboko Squad (-Kanao), Sanemi, Kyojuro, Tengen, Giyuu

Warning: Mention of alcohol

Somebody shoves you aggressively when you and Tanjiro are hanging out by the bar. I don't think he will initiate any fight or whatever, he'll just yell "What's your problem, dude?" before turning to you and asking whether you're okay. He will definitely have a handkerchief ready in case somebody spill their drink on you.

We all know Zenitsu is not an aggressive person. If someone bumps into you a tad too aggressive he will pull you to his side. "Oi, back off! Stay away from my partner!" Might not sound too scary, but he will give them an unwavering stare, ready to knock him down even because he's kinda drunk himself.

Inosuke, on the other hand, will definitely provoke the other person to fight. "What the fuck? Oi, come over here! Who do you think you are, shoving my mate like that? Over my dead body, fucker!" It gets rowdy real fast, mate. Sober or drunk, he will fight.

Similar to Inosuke, Genya will not hesitate to fight back the other person. He'll shove them back, "Watch it!" What happens next depends on how the other person reacts. If they back away, Genya will only tell them to get lost. If they taunt him, they better run. Genya will drag them outside, god knows what will happen next.

Sanemi is definitely Genya's role model in this whole "how to defend your partner in a club" thing. Sanemi will pull the person's collar back, forcing them to look him in the eye, "You're messing with the wrong people, you pathetic shit." Of course, his scars will most likely intimidate the other person. If they're trying to fight him, though... You better not let him fight, honestly. He might break the other person's bone(s).

Tengen despises drunk assholes. He thinks everyone should drink flamboyantly. Being drunk is fine, as long as they don't pick a fight with other people. Which is why he can't tolerate the person who shoves you or any of his wives. "That's soooo tacky of you. Are you sure you're supposed to be here? Should I kick your ass flying to the nearest landfill? Yknow, since you're acting so trashy like that..." Again, not that intimidating but don't forget this man is almost 2 meters tall.

I believe Kyojuro will make sure you're alright before he turns to the person. "Hey, you! Yeah, you! We need to talk!" It doesn't always work, of course, considering the other person was hella drunk or just rude. Not the most aggressive man, but he's there to have fun with you and he will make sure you do have fun. So, he'll just take you to a less crowded area and buy you another drink.

At first you might think Giyuu won't do anything since he just froze in his place as the person walks away. However his eyes widens and trails the person's move. Before you can say or do anything, he already follows them and delivers a hard slap against the back of their head. When the person turn around to find the culprit, Giyuu already walks away like nothing happened. He gets back to you and pull you closer to him.

a/n: there will be a part two... but switched! you saving them!

warnings: POSSIBLE SPOILERS! also mentions of death in inosuke's (reader has to do what tanjiro did to wake up on the mugen train)

part two!

tanjiro kamado

you try to brace yourself as you're thrown against a tree. it hurts, but you have to keep going. you think of the bright smile that always inspires you when you need it. the smile of your best friend. you take in a deep breath in, trying to control your total concentration, as you reflect on where you are at, and how you would rather be back at the butterfly mansion with your friends, who haven't finished healing yet.

you lift yourself up just in time to deflect the blood demon art of the spider sister, who almost captured you in her web ball. you fling yourself to the side, and when you jump up, prepared for the next attack, she's gone.

strange. you look around you at all of your surroundings, hoping that she won't pop out from behind the trees. your power, besides your breathing, is in your strength, so unfortunately, you lack any power of being able to sense where your opponent is by smell, audio, or some weird beasty sense thing that inosuke possesses.

you still and close your eyes, trying to focus on listening, when you hear something above you. something isn't right about this.

you are able to jump to the side just as the monster leaps where you were. this thing is massive, with a godawful spider face. not only is it creepy, but it scares you enough that you hide behind a tree, trying to think of a plan. that's when you remember tanjiro again.

last week, the two of you were eating breakfast at the butterfly mansion. you were sitting next to each other, chatting and occasionally laughing at inosuke devouring his onigiri. you turn to focus back on your conversation about tanjrio's "hinokami kagura", and how impressive it is.

"you truly are amazing, tanjiro! not even the hashira can perform two breathing techniques!" you gush, trying to imagine yourself doing the same. "you must feel so powerful!"

tanjiro scratches at his neck, trying to push down the raging blush that had formed on his face. "it's really not that impressive! I'm sure you could do the same if you really tried."

"oh, don't be ridiculous. i'm not near close enough to your level. and don't be modest either! just don't forget about me when you become a hashira," you say, with a little joke at the end.

tanjiro grabs your hands and stares at you a little too intensely. you feel a little startled. "don't say that about yourself! you are an incredible swordsman and i constantly want to be like you."

you blink, unsure what to make of the fervent compliments. you open your mouth, but before you can respond, he continues.

"you inspire me with your strength. you never give up and that is what's truly amazing!" you swear you can see little puffs of steam coming out of his ears.

"uh..."

"so don't underestimate yourself!"

you blink for a moment, trying to find your composure. and you don't know what else to do but laugh.

"well, alright then!" you give him a huge smile and hug him tight. "thank you, tanjiro," you whisper into his ear. he just hugged you tighter to his body. what you missed seeing was the very pointed look given to him by zenitsu.

you brace yourself and make a move from behind the tree, rushing at the creature who was looking for you in the opposite direction. activating your first breathing form, you aim at the giant's arm, hoping to buy some time while he is regenerating. but your sword doesn't cut through. instead, he flings you a couple meters back. you land harshly on the ground, and you wince when you feel your ribs crack. you take a deep breath in, desperately hoping for an idea to get you out of this mess.

the monster roars, destroying trees in his path as he searches for you. "LEAVE MY FAMILY ALONE."

some hell of a family, you think, as you roll out of the way to escape a tree from crushing you. you rush at the monster again, this time aiming for his neck with your sixth breathing form, but to no avail. your sword still doesn't go through.

you can see the monster's hand coming towards you. you're going to die. there's no way you can move out of the way without breaking your sword, and you won't be able to survive without it. think! you desperately rack your brain for ideas, but it's too late.

you close your eyes as the hand comes to you, but you never feel the impact. you quickly open your eyes to see a checkered haori blocking the monster's head.

"tanjiro!"

"y/n! i was so worried when we arrived and saw all of the bodies!" the hand shakes the two of you off, and tanjiro holds you close as you both fall to the ground. he's quick to jump to his feet, but you're still a little sore from your earlier exchanges with the tree. he gives you a charming smile as he helps you off the ground. "i'm so glad you are alright."

you jump up to give him a tight hug, trying to fight off the nerves of your near-death experience.

"gonpachiro! are you going to help me out or keep flirting?" you cough as he glances over at inosuke trying to saw his way through the monster's arm.

before you can react, he presses a quick kiss to your forehead before running to help. "stay alive, ok!" he yells, "i have to confess something after the battle!"

you allow yourself one bashful smile before lunging into the fight, helping your future bf and one weird boar.

inosuke hashibira

you gasp for air as you're being held down by the neck by the train's appendage. you try to break free, but your sword is just out of reach and the tentacle thing is just too slimy to really grab hold of it. with one hand, you try to free your neck, and with the other hand, you strain for your sword. the appendage lifts you a bit and slams you back down, making something in your arm snap. you try to scream, but nothing comes out. your vision starts getting a little blurry, and black starts creeping around the edges.

what should you do? before you can do anything, a big eye pops out and blinks at you.

when you open your eyes, you have to adjust, because it suddenly got very bright. you sit up off the ground, looking around for the train, but you don't see anything. you do recognize this dirt path you are on though.

you lift yourself up and start along the path until you come across... the butterfly mansion? something wasn't right. you were supposed to be helping tanjiro and inosuke with the train demon.

just then you heard a cackle coming from inside the building. how is inosuke here? you also heard a scream coming from the inside. you sprint to the sound, and throw the doors open to see your little sibling cowering behind your parents, who were in a protective stance and looking up at the ceiling. on the ceiling was inosuke, crawling around like a weirdo.

"mom? dad?" how were they here? their deaths were the reason you became a demon slayer in the first place. tears start pouring down your cheeks as you run towards your beloved family. you stay there, hugging them for what seems like hours. your parents were very confused, but accepted the affection nontheless. your sibling was giggling at how stupid you looked, but you could care less, because at least they were alive.

maybe this whole slayer thing was just a bad dream. BAM. you jerk your head to see inosuke had come down from the ceiling. how did you forget? so the slayer thing was not just a dream. so what the hell is happening?

inosuke walks up to you and grabs your hand. "come on, y/n! let's go train." he walks you outside and into the woods.

"inosuke, i think something is wrong. we were fighting a demon and then we ended up back here. do you know anything?" he steps back and lifts his mask up, letting it fall to the ground.

"what the hell are you talking about?" he starts towards you, backing you into a tree. you put your hands to his chest, looking into his eyes.

"this is not the time to fight right now! i'm being serious-" you are silenced when he puts his finger to your lips, cocks his head and looks at you.

"the fuck are you yappin' about? you know the training thing is just a ruse." he puts his hands on your side and squeezes, making you gasp. he lays his head into the crook of your neck and gives you a small little bite, in which you grab onto his shoulders in shock. "we do this all the time."

Y/N!

you push inosuke back and look around. you grab onto his shoulder and gently shake it.

"didn't you hear that?" he just snorts. "hear what?"

Y/N!

"there it is again! someone is calling my name!" inosuke shakes his head and pushes against you once more, arms circling your waist. he starts to leave kisses up your neck, which causes you to let out a little whine. this was a little dream of yours that you kept a secret so no one would find out about your little crush.

pause.

A DREAM! of course!

"i've got to get out of here." inosuke lifts his head up.

"what?"

"you don't understand. this is a dream! the real you needs me right now." you run around the woods, searching for the demon that put you to sleep. if you kill it, you might be able to get out. how else would you wake up?

you slow to a stop, realizing the demon isn't in the dream with you. dream inosuke pokes your back. "what are you doing?"

you turn to him, unsure of what you're about to do. you reach to his waist and grab one of his swords.

"i'm sorry." you whisper, terrified. you bring the sword up to your neck. what if you're wrong? what if there are repercussions from the dream in reality. what if you actually died?

you push your hand up again the blade, ready, when a hand grabs your wrist. you look up into his beautiful face, which looked miserable.

"don't you want to be with me?" you almost drop the sword from your neck. you raise your hand to dream inosuke's face.

"it's all i've ever wanted, since we met. that's why i have to do this. to be with the real you." you pull your wrist free and scream, and with a twist of the blade, everything goes dark.

you wake up and take a deep breath. you can feel the wind from the roof of the train, and you realize it worked. you look over to see the appendage that was holding you wither into dust on the ground.

"you done taking your little nap? we got a demon to kill!" you smile at the taunting voice coming from behind you. you turn and jump into his arms.

"h-hey!" you lift his mask to give him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"thank you for waking me up," you say, before running off to where tanjiro was calling your name. inosuke follows behind you, very glad the mask is covering the redness of his face.

zenitsu agatsuma

there is no way you are making it out of this one alive, unless you hear the drum again. there are two demons making their way to you in this moving house. you aren't skilled enough to taken on two demons by yourself. so you are holding out that the drum will beat again soon, so that the rooms will shift. the first demon crawls closer and lashes it's tongue at you. you swipe at it, and the tip falls off, spraying blood over your uniform. while the first demon sprawls backwards in pain, the second lunges at you, and just as you swing your sword at it's neck, the drum shifts the rooms around.

you fall through the air in this new room, but land on something solid. you look down to see zenitsu under you.

"oh my goodness!" you hug him tight, thankful to see his face instead of another demon. while you're too busy with your relief, he's focused on your legs on either side of his waist. pervert.

his euphoria ends quickly, however, when you hoist yourself up and introduce yourself to the kid he is with. shoichi, the little boy, is so relieved that another slayer joined them, so he didn't have to put up with zenitsu's tantrums by himself.

while he is introducing himself, zenitsu sits up and screams. you turn, shielding the boy behind you, when you spot the tongue demon making it's way toward the three of you.

you all run to the nearest room and while you hope for another drum, you know you won't be so lucky this time, so you focus your attention on the door, hoping to be able to ambush the demon when he enters the room.

"no, no, no, no, no. please wake up." you turn to see zenitsu passed out on the floor.

"shoichi, i need you to get him to the wall if you can." then you turn your attention to the approaching demon, whose tongue had already regenerated. the tongue lashes out at you once more, but faster this time. you knew you wouldn't have time to cut it off, so you settle for deflecting it.

but the force of his tongue was too strong, and you were thrown backwards, hitting the wall and roughly falling to the ground. you crawl back over to zenitsu and shoichi, praying the drum sounds again.

you go to stand up to face the demon again when a soft hand pushes you back. you look up to see zenitsu and are surprised. wasn't he just passed out?

you see him get into position and hear a faint, "thunder breathing, first form". you blink and the demon is dead.

zenitsu sways for a second before falling back to the ground. you rush over to make sure he's ok to discover he's... STILL ASLEEP?

he jerks awake and squeals when he see's the demon's body disintegrating. he latches onto your torso and shamelessly hides his face into your skin.

"y/n-chaaaaan, you saved me! thank you thank you thank you!"

you look over at shoichi who just shrugs. with a small laugh, you lean over and press a kiss to zenitsu's head.

"let's try to get out of here, yeah?"

"AHHH y/n-chaaaaaan! let's get married!"

a/n: SORRRRRY i am so tired and so i rushed zenitsu's, but i hope it's still good! i'll try to finish the part two tomorrow (with a special surprise drabble!)

𝐀𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐒 ! ᝰ 𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐒𝐔𝐊𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐀

ᯓ☆ 𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒔 : notes thought this was cute. probably a little ooc but i tried.

! 𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 ¡ : none. just fluff

Inosuke had this habit of gathering acorns for you. Living in the woods his whole life and growing up being raised by boars, he was very obviously one with nature. He understood it. Despite not having the same intense hearing as Zenitzu or nose like Tanjiro, he understood the way trees moved in the breeze, the way the leaves would talk to one another, and the other earthly sounds that surrounded him at all times. He wasn’t a calm and collected person, he knew that. He wasn’t quiet. He was loud, obnoxious, boisterous and lacked patience unless it benefited him.

But he knew the beauty of nature. The way trees stood tall and proud and strong, just like mountains. The way the grass sometimes sparkles after it rains or the way the sun hits the world just the right way as it comes up over the horizon. Its colors fade from the dark of night into nice oranges as the glowing sun takes its place in the sky. But his favorite is at the end of day, when the sun goes down. Where he sits, exhausted, though he’d never admit it, from the events of the day awaiting for what will happen tomorrow. He always knew of these things. Always knew that it was there. But he never took the time to take in every last detail of it. Not until you.

Inosuke liked oak trees. They were big, beautiful and strong; just like his love for you. He gave you acorns because as they were the seeds for those big strong trees, it was like he was handing out his heart to you, handing you his love. He made it his own personal mission to give them to you every chance he could.

He was like a puppy. Getting out of bed earlier than most to go out searching for the perfect acorn. It really shouldn’t take him as long as it does, but he goes through so many just to find the one that's the most shiny, the most strong, the one that will have you singing his praises. He’s inspecting every single one till he’s satisfied and soon he is at your bedside waiting for you to wake up. He could just wake you up himself, in Inosuke fashion; shaking you, loud, and rough, but you look so nice and peaceful. And he has this urge to sit there and wait.

It took a long time for him to understand what love was. At first he thought he was allergic to you. Which confused his little underlings when they demanded to know why he was avoiding you. With the heat rising to his cheeks like a fever and the red that spread over them like a rash, Inosuke assumed that he needed to stay away from you – for his safety and yours.

Tanjiro had to explain it to him. And even though Zenitzu could be found laughing in the background, Inosuke couldn’t be bothered to pay him any attention. Inosuke was too focused reveling in the fact of this new information, that he could finally put a name to what he was feeling. Because surely the redness of your cheeks and the way you stared at him for a little too long meant that you felt the same way too. (you did)

Inosuke knew that he felt weird around you. And it took a long while for him to come to terms that it was a good thing that he felt. He knew that he liked your face and he also knew that he liked being close to you. He liked when your attention was on him, and he especially liked it when you gave him praise for his strength. He also knew that he wanted to keep you safe. He was Lord Inosuke after all, it was his job to keep you safe – whether you were also a demon slayer or not.

So, he gives you acorns. He gives you only a few at a time because you only deserve the best and finding the most perfect ones is almost impossible, as he only has so much time on his hands. Between recovering and going on missions; he eats, breathes and sleeps demon slaying. He wants to be the best and the strongest. But for you, he makes time.

And you keep them. You take them from him as he gently places them into your cupped hands. Inosuke has never handled anything with such care and delicacy in his life. But your hands were so soft; are so soft. And you look so enamored, was that even the correct word? Yes, it had to be. Inosuke watches with such care and concern. You liked them right? Of course. You thank him so graciously, with a smile that could make Inosuke almost melt into a puddle. He's speechless. He doesn’t know why.

He watches as you place them with the others. In a wide mouthed clear mason jar, with a blue bow tied around the top, you reach in your hand and gently place them in. They are on display for anyone who walks into your room, and Inosuke can help but feel prideful.

But then you turn and tell him to wait. He’s confused, though he sees you rummaging through a drawer and he realizes you are looking for something. Something for him.

“This rock reminds me of my love for you. Solid and dependable. They can withstand harsh storms with unwavering strength. It’s … enduring and unyielding. Like someone's love. Some rocks may not be flashy or extravagant, but they don’t need to be. It’s just… this one, when I saw it, I knew that it was something special. Please accept this as if it is my heart.”

You held out this rock, one that Inosuke thought was so nice looking, he didn’t know how you thought it was good enough for him. It was much larger than a pebble and it looked like it was hand picked from the koi pond over at Mr. Tomiokas’ estate.

Inosuke didn’t know if it was a known fact, and honestly, Inosuke or yourself didn’t really care to find out from others – but he admired Mr. Tomioka heavily. It was either between his calm demeanor or his fighting style, but either way, Inosuke thought that he was really cool.

And maybe that admiration extended to the koi pond that Mr. Tomioka had. He liked watching the fish swimming around in the calm water, minding their own business as the world went on around them. Sometimes, when Inosuke went through a little mental crisis, he often thought about what it might be like if he were a fish. Would you love me if I were a koi fish, type thinking process. He used to think how sad that would be. No fighting? No killing demons? How boring. But sometimes, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. You could keep him in a little fish tank and feed him all the tempura he wanted.

Inosuke knows better than to take one – however – because no matter how much he likes watching them he knows that he can’t take care of it. And he also knows that no one would trust him with one either. Probably thinks that he would eat it too, which he would – probably. At least, not the ones Mr. Tomioka owns. But still, sometimes he watches the Hashira feed them and he notices how the arrangement of stones seems to mirror his personality.

And here he was now, given a stone from his koi pond from you. Somewhere deep inside himself he feels a mixture of excitement and gratitude. He never really expected anything in return. He liked giving you those acorns because that was how he expressed his love for you. How he expresses his appreciation for your existence. But for you to return the sentiment was special to him. It was more than excitement and gratitude, actually. Was he flattered? Maybe that was the word. You’ve used it before when he’d given you things and the smile on your face was blinding. Yes, that was it. He was flattered, and couldn’t help feeling his face getting hot. He had never felt so paid attention to, and Inosuke couldn’t contain himself.

He held the stone in his hand. Held it with such gentleness like it was glass, like if he breathed wrong it would break into pieces. He shot forwards and grasped you into a hug. It was such an Inosuke hug that you couldn’t help but giggle as he held you. He squished you tenderly, rough enough just like Inosuke but soft enough that made you aware of how considerate to your bodily autonomy he was – it made your heart melt beautifully.

His boar head was long discarded and the warmth of his lips on yours was more than welcome.

Especially towards the Hashira, or Haganezuka, if your brother rip his swords again

Literally anyone thinks that you are the older sibling in this duo... When actually you are the younger than Inosuke

In a fight, you always try to come up with strategies and explain to Inosuke that fighting recklessly will bring him absolutely nowhere

But who's listening to you? The brick wall beside you.

So usually, when he ends up being way too beaten up to continue fighting Inosuke style, he finally puts in practice what you told him in the first place

But don't you think he does it for himself...

Inosuke is most likely to finally listen to you when he realize that he cannot protect you anymore because he became too weak

This man will literally do anything to protect you, even doing what he's being told to do

Because he doesn't want to lose you as well as you both lost your mother

You are his only family, and he's sure to protect you with his everything

And of course... Training is a must

He will not let you skip the trainings with him and his friends

Because he wants to make sure that you are capable of defending yourself at the fullest when he's not around

Oh. And one more thing

Consider Zenitsu dead...

Because if this boy tries to even look in your direction, Inosuke is going to unalive him

And while he's trying to kill him, Tanjiro will try to help Zenitsu escape; you and Nezuko will just watch the chaos happing in the distance, preferably inside the house

All while braiding each others hair, of course

Hello I just started following you and I love the way you write! I was hoping you could do a sanario where the Kamaboko squad plus muichiro with a reader that is the sister of kyojuro. I want to see a protective kyojuro that doesn't want his little sister dating. Thank you in advance!🙂❤️

❥he knows tanjiro would never do anything to hurt you but that doesn’t mean kyojuros going to lower his guard and not be protective of you. Needless to say tanjiro quickly gets nervous whenever he see’s kyojuro.

“Where did you say you were taking her, again?” Kyojuro asks, leaning down towards the smaller male in front of him as tanjiro only nervously scratched the back of his head.

“u-uhm, to the new restaurant nearby..” tanjiro muttered as kyojuro then stood up fully and walked away from tanjiro, leaving the maroon haired boy to stand there confused.

Due to how much pressure he had unintentionally put on the flowers stems, they began looking down as if sad. Tanjiro then watched as Kyojuro then walked into the family house, heading to your room.

“Y/n, I told you you’re too young to date!” Rengoku complained while grabbing your shoulders and shaking you gently while you laughed at his reaction.

“It’s only Tanjiro. You know how kind he is.” You smiled at your brother, blushing slightly at the thought of your date. Kyojuro only whined more, explaining that you were too young to date.

He most definitely dragged Mitsuri to spy on the two of you while he sulked the whole time while Mitsuri gushed, almost fainting while yelling out, “young love!”

❦taisho secret❦: kyojuro definitely thought that you had chosen such a nice person to be your lover but he couldn’t admit that his younger sister had a boyfriend already and was growing up so quickly.

˚ʚagatsuma zenitsuɞ˚

❥yeah, good luck ever convincing your older brother that you should be with zenitsu. He’s seen how perverted they boy can act at times.

♥both you and zenitsu have to be secretive about your relationship or you’ll get a lot of scolding from Kyojuro as he explains that you’re too young to be dating. Especially someone like zenitsu.

❥but even before when you’ve never showed any interest towards others, he’s always given you the talk, telling you you’re too young to be with someone.

“But it’s my best kimono! And last time I wore it you said you liked it.” You sighed, frustrated as Kyojuro once again instructed you to change kimono’s before leaving on your date with Zenitsu.

Your room floor was littered with multiple Kimono’s. All the ones you tried on but couldn’t wear as Kyojuro repeatedly told you he didn’t like them. You groaned before once again walking over to your wardrobe as Kyojuro closed the shoji door.

You cringed, seeing only one Kimono left. A plain white one with no decorations. A frown graced your lips as you knew what kyojuro really wanted. You closed your wardrobe, walking over to your full body mirror as you looked at yourself in the kimono you were currently wearing. It was your best one. So, you refused to change.

A sudden knock was heard at the front door, making you smile. You had already done your makeup and your hair. You were ready just on time. You quickly walked out the room. “I’ll get it!” You yelled out, putting a beautiful hairpin in your hair before running out of your room.

That was until you were stopped by an arm moving in front of you. “I told you not that one.” Kyojuro frowned, making you laugh at his desperate attempt to make you change into a plain kimono.

“but-”

“Alright, you don’t have to change, but let me answer the door.” Kyojuro informed you confidently before walking over to the door.

You crossed your arms, already having a feeling of knowing what he was going to do. “Y/n’s not home.” Kyojuro spoke, not even giving Zenitsu time to say anything.

“kyojuro.” You spoke out, the flame pillars eyes widening as he knew he’d been caught. He mumbled a ‘dang it’ before moving out of the way to let you outside with the yellow-haired boy.

Your eyes softened and you gave a gentle smile at Zenitsu before grabbing the bouquet from his hands and kissing his cheek, making his face go pink.

“You look to pretty, Y/n!” Zenitsu yelled cheerfully before grabbing your hand to rush off to the festival you two would be going to together.

Kyojuro sighed sadly before closing the door to sulk inside at the thought of his younger sister being with someone.

❦taisho secret❦: kyojuro knows about how kindly and sweetly zenitsu treats you. He’s seen how much of a gentleman the young boy can be but he still tells you he doesn’t trust you dating him. Deep down he knows otherwise. You’re practically perfect for each other.

˚ʚhashibira inosukeɞ˚

❥kyojuro doesn’t worry as much about inosuke breaking your heart. He worries more about the fact inosuke might physically hurt by complete accident.

♥the flame pillar has first-hand seen how unintentionally harsh inosuke can be at times. But he doesn’t know himself just how different inosuke is when he’s around you.

❥your older brother is protective and of course he tries to see what the two of you are up to sometimes. But every time he tries to look for you, the both of you are already gone and already all over the place.

♥so for that reason, he doesn’t see how inosuke treats you when the two of you are alone.

“Y/n, how did you get this scar?”

“Kyo…I’ve had that for a year already. So it wasn’t Inosuke if that’s what you’re thinking.” You sighed, face palming as Kyojuro sheepishly smiled.

“I know Inosuke can be rough at times but that doesn’t mean he’s like that with me.” You reassured your brother, earning a nod from him in response. “Now, I promised Inosuke that I’d meet up with him later.” You smiled before hugging your brother and running off.

Kyojuro turned around to head back inside before seeing a small but neatly wrapped present with a bow on it. He grabbed it before realizing it was meant for Inosuke. And of course, you’d forgotten it.

The pillar immediately chased after you and by the way you were calling for the other males name, it made it easy for him to track you down.

Just as he was about to approach you, he suddenly saw Inosuke sneak up behind you with a smirk on his face.

You felt a pair of arms wrap around you before suddenly lifting you up from behind. You let out a yelp of shock as Inosuke twirled in the air before finally setting you down.

A laugh left your lips as you then cupped Inosuke’s cheeks, planting a short kiss on his lips. “Hmph.” Kyojuro huffed before walking off, completely forgetting about dropping off the gift you left behind.

❦taisho secret❦: inosuke, from the corner of his eye, saw kyojuro standing there and waiting to approach you. When he saw the flame pillar walk off, he laughed and for an odd reason, took pride in the fact he was able to “scare off” a hashira. Yeah. “Scare off.”

˚ʚshinazugawa genyaɞ˚

❥kyojuro doesn’t know much, or more so anything about Genya, just that you love him. But the very moment he finds out he’s the brother of the ill-mannered wind pillar, he’s so quick to become skeptical.

♥he’s never met Genya personally and he trusted you enough to go on two dates with the boy before he met him, but once he hears the boys last name is shinazugawa, he immediately asks you if he can meet him.

❥genya already gets nervous enough when he’s around you so when you told him your older brother, a hashira at that, wanted to meet him, he was slowly dying on the inside.

Genya sat seiza style, staring at the flame pillar right in front of him. Beads of sweat were dripping down genya’s forehead as he thought of what to say. He wished you were there. Hell, even from your own room you were able to sense the awkwardness. If anything, you wished you were there.

You do badly felt like leaving your room and going over there to start a conversation for them but Kyojuro had so politely asked you to stay in your room. A long and dramatic sigh left you as you thought of what to do to pass time…

Eventually, you had fallen asleep. Only to wake up moments later to loud chattering. Curiously, you peeled your head out the door.

Shockingly, Kyojuro and Genya had been happily chatting away. Kyojuro had long forgotten this was the brother of someone so rude. And Genya had long forgotten this was pillar he was talking to. This was his lovers older sibling that he was talking to.

You smiled but instead of intervening, you retreated back to your room to let the two enjoy their time together.

❦taisho secret❦: because of the long awkward silence and the scary aura kyojuro was emitting, genya felt the need to speak up first. So the conversation had oh so conveniently started by genya asking what kyojuro’s favorite food was. It then ended up into a really long conversation about various topics.

˚ʚtokito muichiroɞ˚

❥ Kyojuro had no reason to dislike his fellow pillar, Muichiro. Up until he found out the two of you had began dating. It wasn’t even Muichiro’s fault. Your older brother had simply hated the idea of you dating anyone.

♥just because kyojuro knows the youngest hashira well doesn’t mean he trusts him with you. Especially with the harsh attitude the most pillar has. He’s afraid you’ll easily get hurt by him.

❥while he’s protective of you and doesn’t want you dating, Kyojuro can’t deny the fact he finds it cute that Muichiro’s eyes only sparkle when they’re on you or when he’s with you.

Kyojuro sat in your pillar estate as you were getting ready in your room. Muichiro had asked you earlier if he could come pick you up to take you somewhere as a surprise. Of course you agreed, curious as to where your boyfriend planned on taking you. When you told your older brother he insisted on coming over to you estate which you were fine with.

A few short hesitant knocks were heard at your estate door, making kyojuro snap out of a small trance. “Kyo, can you get that? It must be ‘chiro!” You yelled out from your room, fixing your kimono once more before you left on your date.

Kyojuro stood up from his seat, walking over to the door. Opening it, he found Muichiro, dressed in a yukata which the flame pillar quickly recognized as the one Muichiro wore on his first date with you.

Conveniently, Kyojuro immediately thought the worst. Muichiro had a bouquet in one hand and a box of chocolates in the other hand.

The flame pillars first thought was that the young boy had maybe come to apologize for something drastic. “Why are you dressed all fancy?” Kyojuro asked, inspecting Muichiro as he only tilted his head.

“Well…I want to ask your sister if I can be her boyfriend.” Muichiro responded bluntly as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

“But…You’re already dating her..”

“really?” Muichiro questioned, his eyes sparkling for a quick second.

“Actually-” Kyojuro thought about it. Maybe if he played his cards right it’d be like the two of you never dated. But then you’d think your boyfriend stood you up. He frowned. “Yes.” He sighed.

The moment Muichiro saw you exit your room in your beautiful kimono, Kyojuro’s words quickly left the boys mind.

“Mui!” You cheered before pulling the boy into a hug before kissing his cheeks softly. Muichiro’s stoic face remained but a red hue covered his cheeks.

“Y/n, will you be my mine..?”

“Love…We’re already dating…”

❦taisho secret❦: the reason you weren’t exactly shocked when Muichiro asked you to be his girlfriend was because it’s happened before. Three times, actually. And each time he gets really excited at the thought of you two dating even though you already have been dating for almost a year.

You and Tanjiro sat down for a well earned break on the engawa as a result of your tough training.

“Hey Tanjiro?”, you called out as he averted his gaze from the sky to you with a head tilt, prompting you to proceed with whatever you called him for.

You cupped his face with your hands on his cheeks, flashing a soft smile.

“I can hold the world in my hands”.

At your words, you were able to physically see Tanjiro’s pupils dilate affectionately as a light shade of pink coated the apple of his cheeks.

“In that case..”, he also placed his hands on your cheeks too.

“I can also hold the world in my hands”, he smiled.

You were comforting Zenitsu with a hug, his head laying on your chest while his arms were wrapped your torso, letting tears spill out of his eyes uncontrollably— as Zenitsu does.

“I don’t wanna go on the mission!”, he wailed, hugging you tighter.

You just patted his back like 😅

“You’ll be fine, besides I promised to give you a gift when you return remember?”, his tears calmed down to mere sniffles.

“Yeah…I remember”, he muttered. He did feel a bit better now.

“And look what I discovered”, you lifted his head from your chest and cupped his cheeks lovingly.

“I can hold the whole world in my hands”.

Zenitsu squealed dotingly and enveloped you in a big hug, knocking you from the tree you were leaning against to the grass.

“Oh Y/n! You’re too good for me!!”.

“Inosuke stop for a second!”, it had been about ten minutes since you started running after him.

Let me explain.

You were running over to him with a wave and he thought it was a game of tag— your hand being a signal to him that you were it— so he began to run away from you with his trademark laugh.

“I give up! You win!!”, you called out to him. Even though it wasn’t a game, that was the only way you’d get the boar’s attention.

Inosuke celebrated his victory by pumping a fist in the air. “I told you I never lose!”, he chuckled.

“Alright well I know something you probably can’t do”, you snickered, a hand over your mouth.

“Try me”, he challenged.

You walked over to him and took off his mask before cupping his cheeks.

“I can hold the whole world in my hands!”.

Inosuke blinked a few times before narrowing his eyes at you in pure confusion.

“Huh?”.

You slid a hand down your face and sighed.

“Don’t make me explain it, it totally defeats the purpose”, surely enough, you ended up explaining it which took about half an hour for him to get but hey, you got there.

He took it as a challenge and squashed both your cheeks with one of his hands.

“Well I can hold the world in only one of my hands!”, he had a smug look on his face as you could on laugh.

“Not everything had to be a challenge y’know”.

A breeze gently passed by causing the birds to chirp, and butterflies you were eyeing to spread their wings. It was nice to sit down and enjoy the slowness of the moment for a bit. However, the tranquil scene was quickly disrupted by a booming voice that caused the birds to scatter and the butterflies to flutter away.

"HEY, YOU! FIGHT ME!" The voice yelled. You didn't need to turn around to know who was challenging you.

"Hello, to you too Inosuke," You said playfully.

"COME ON YOU ARE JUST SITTING THERE! LET'S TRAIN!" He proposed. As much as you wanted to continue relaxing, a tug in your chest encouraged you to seize the opportunity to spend more time with the hot-headed demon slayer. Even if it was just training. After all, that seemed to be the only thing Inosuke ever wanted to do other than eat.

Two more demon slayers joined behind Inosuke. "Inosuke can't you see they are trying to relax," Tanjiro interjected.

"Yeah we just got done training too aren't you tired?" Zenitsu asked.

"NO! I'm not weak like you!" Inosuke said, placing his hands on his sides and puffing out his chest.

You laughed at the demon slayer's cockiness "It's fine we can fight, but if I win you have to sit here with me and watch the birds." You proposed.

"SURE WHATEVER. As if I'd lose to you anyway." He said with what you imagined was a wide grin under his mask.

You stood up to face the demon slayer and he wasted no time coming at you with full force. You quickly dodged to the side moving out of the way of Inosuke's attack causing only his shoulder to brush against you. The brief brush up against the demon slayer caused your heart to flutter.

It was just a moment but Inosuke's quick instincts caught on to the change that happened when he made contact with you. Your breathing changed, cheeks reddened, and movements slowed just the slightest. He understood he could use this to his advantage.

You spun around ready to block his next attack but an attack didn't come. Instead of an attack, Insouke dropped his swords, ran toward you, and reached out to grab both of your breasts.

Your eyes shot wide open and your heart stopped. A squeak escaped your lips as a bright blush ignited on your face. Did Inosuke really just cop a feel??

"INOSUKE!" Tanjiro yelled at the demon slayer furiously.

Insouke took advantage of your paralysis and quickly pinned you to the floor and straddled you.

"HAHAHA! I TOLD YOU I WOULDN'T LOSE!" He said, bouncing on top of you.

"INOSUKE STOP!" Tanjiro yelled and began to run over with Zenitsu.

Inosuke continued to laugh basking in his victory. Meanwhile, you were seeing stars as the situation was too much for you to handle. Embarrassed, you struggled to get your hands free from under Inosuke desperate to cover your flustered face.

Tanjiro and Zenitsu pulled at the feral demon slayer to try and release him but he took it as a challenge and fought back even harder.

Finally, your hands broke free and you swiftly covered your face as the struggle between the three boys was now causing Inosuke to further bounce and push against you.

"It's fine Tanjiro~" You mumbled desperately to stop the interaction before you lost all self-control.

"YOU REALLY ARE AN IDIOT YOU KNOW THAT!" Zenitsu yelled while grabbing Inosuke's mask from his head and running away. Another squeak escaped your lips at the sight of the demon slayer's face. It was no secret to anyone how attractive Inosuke was under his mask.

Finally, Inosuke got up off of you, only to chase down Zenitsu for his mask.

"I apologize for Inosuke, are you alright?" Tanjiro said, looking down at you. It was then he noticed how flustered you were from the whole event "Oh.. hum..." He said whistling and looking away to give you privacy.

"I am more than alright~" You replied in a daze, still lying down needing a moment to catch your breath.
