🛍️ BOOKISH SMALL BUSINESS APPRECIATION 🛍️ Q: Do you have any favorite bookish small businesses? If so, what are they? I need more! (Lol I really do *not* need more but I'm always down to spread the love) I've answered this below, so check that out for some shop ideas, but first I wanted to tell you about a new-to-me shop I'm featuring today (not an ad, just sharing what I purchased). @the_bookish_den is a shop with some really cool stuff, and I chose a bookmark and a blind date with a romance book. You can see in the first slide how prettily packaged everything is 😍 I was so impressed when I opened the envelope! Swipe to see the book I got, along with the incredible bookmark, with which I am absolutely in love. It's a woodmark, with a black fantasy map on it (I'm a sucker for a map!), and a silver compass rose attached on a string. It's my new favorite bookmark for sure! And I'm excited because I haven't read this book, and it's probably not one I would've chosen for myself, so I'm glad this is one she chose for me. Isn't this so lovely?? Go check out her shop! Models of biplanes that have been built for me for NOTHING BUT SKY. A Marauders Map scarf was gifted to me for my love of Harry Potter. ❄️Once Upon a Book Club: Christmas Mini Unboxing☃️ . Happy Winter Solstice, everyone! I know Winter Solstice was last Sunday...but whatever. I’m feeling young and alive now! Do you know East Asians celebrate Winter Solstice Festival by having tang yuan served with boiled water, symbolizing family gathering, unity , and harmony? You’ll also be one year wiser(older) after this day.😉 . Anyways, the only book box I got for myself this month was @onceuponabookclubbox Mini Christmas box, which contained a thoughtfully picked Christmas read, a beautiful quote card (as usual), plus two gorgeous gifts corresponding to the designated pages. . Even though I’ve been eyeing their Christmas 12-day advent calendar box forever, I simply can’t spend $64 on shipping for a $80 box.😭 Mercifully, their mini box is equally exquisite and I thoroughly enjoy unboxing it! . Much to my surprise, I actually like this Christmas book inspired by what-I-think-is Cinderella, called A Royal Christmas Wish by @lizzieshaneak @hallmarkpublish !💙💛 The characters are lovable and I realize it’s not all bad to live in a fairytale from time to time. . As for the gifts, the snowflake bracelet and that peppermint-scented candle are super nice, spreading warmth in this freezing holiday season. However, since I’m not a big bookish accessory fan, it’s very likely that I’ll give away this piece of jewelry in my future giveaways when reaching some kind of milestone here. ☺️ .
