First headcanon that pops into my head- He's really bad at learning languages. He tried to learn Kryptonian when he was younger. He tried picking it back up when he was older, but still couldn't wrap his head around it.

Favourite line from this character- "Damian, I'm never going to get married, but when I do, it's going to be to these noodles." It's just such a kid thing to say lol.

One way in which I relate to this character- I also really love noodles.

Thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character- The fact that he was aged up. like why????? What was the reason???? Because he spent a good portion of his life away from his mom and dad and friends when he was just a little boy.

@deermessrs CELIA, you sent me this ask SIX MONTHS AGO, but I never forgot it and wanted to go back and finish the answer I'd half-written back then... if you still care to read it, here it is!! 😅

Favorite Thing About Them: I just love this boy who (albeit imperfectly) used his privilege for good - to give to others the love he was so freely given, to defend those more vulnerable than him, to actually risk his life to fight for the people he loved. And yes he saw the world in black and white, yes he had a savior complex, yes he was full of himself. But he's just. He's the kid in elementary school who makes handmade valentine's for the whole class, who is SO friendly to and defensive of the nerdy kid that he doesn’t realize he's actually embarrassing them. He is literally reckless with his own heart. And I just wanna hug him about it.

Least Favorite Thing About Them: Not to be a total simp, but I don't know that there's anything I don't like about him...

Favorite Line: In DH, when Harry asks, "will you stay with me?" And he says, "Until the very end." (I may or may not have the words tattooed on my body.)

BROTP: Sirius Black, his canonical soulmate, imo. The two of them are the definition of "you complete me" and "I found my other half." They love each other so much I think that even when it isn't romantic it is still bigger than any romantic love either of them have. It's obviously close to how deeply James loves Lily, but I think there is a tether between James and Sirius that neither of them have with anyone else.

OTP: Lily Evans, if that wasn't obvious xD They're just…I've shipped them since I was 12, before I knew what shipping was, yknow? They created my bby boy. Even though I ship both of them with other people in different contexts, I never see them ending up with anyone but each other.

NOTP: Snape. Who I only ship with a lifetime of cleaning out toilets.

Random Headcanon: He grew up with Marlene McKinnon. It was her brothers who taught him how to fly. They were each other's first kiss when they were like, 6, even though they never really liked each other that way. It was one of those things where you know each other as children but somehow it doesn't translate when you get older and find other friends - until they were in like 6th year and the war started feeling really real and it brought everyone closer. When he found out she and her whole family were killed, he went to a very dark place.

Unpopular Opinion: Er… I don't know if I have an unpopular opinion on him? It also depends on the part of fandom I'm talking to, lmao. The one thing I can think of is one I know some people share: that James wasn't that bent about The Prank. I think he was frustrated, but I don't think it put a rift between him and Sirius in any way.

His oblivious-ness. I'm not even talking about not being able to see Ivan's feelings for him, I'm talking about him actively pining over Mizi, who clearly has eyes for Sua. He seems especially oblivious in Round 2. Like, bestie, can't you see she's MOURNING the death of her beloved who JUST died? She does NOT have any interest in seeing your little guitar-smashing love confession.

But then again, she's like, the light of his life and he sees her as his "saviour" in a way, so.. he could be purposefully oblivious?

I've never mentioned it here, but Trigun is one of my most favorite anime. I don't like westerns, I don't like fiction, but somehow, it was Trigun who captured my heart and never let go again. Although Cowboy Bebop is recognized as a world classic having roughly similar genres and setting at its core, I still think Trigun is better than it. I tenderly love all the characters, and even if I hate someone as individuals (Legato and Knives), I still love them as interesting characters.

However, I can't say the same about pairings. I would never have thought that I would like the canonical couple in the anime more than the wonderful fanon with Vash and Nicholas. As I got older, I realized something: there are some works in which the relationship between two men (because I'm mainly BL fan) should remain friendly, because something romantic between them will make them not the characters I like. Brotp is also a great kind of relationship, and sometimes I just accept the fact that there are absolutely heterosexual characters. So when I see the interactions of Nicholas and Vash in the original anime, I understand that they are comrades, brothers in arms, but I don't see at least an ounce of romance, although I can perfectly understand why people ship them.

(update: I'm sorry, I was too lazy to write in English by myself, so I used translator and it made many mistakes in names, so I fixed it only few weeks latter)

Went for Cisco & Jesse for this one, an underrated brotp! Some exploration of post-Zoom trauma for Jesse:

To say Jesse was struggling after Zoom would be an understatement.

She could barely sleep, and since Dad insisted on only one cup of coffee for her a day, she was also exhausted. But if she closed her eyes for even a moment—

"Your father has abandoned you..."

"You're lying!"

—she jolted upright, heart hammering with visions of that demonic black mask and terrifying blue lightning.

Barry's was gold. But sometimes, if even he moved too fast—

"Stop, stop!"

"Jesse? I'm...I'm sorry, I—"

"Just stay there! Stay there and don't...and don't move!"

"Okay. Okay, I'm right here. Not moving an inch, okay?"

It was pathetic. She was 17, nearly an adult—she should be better than this.

Surprisingly, though, it was Cisco who caught on first. Cisco who moved to Jesse's side when she started panicking, Cisco who warned Barry not to use his speed around Jesse...Cisco who made her a blanket fort when they both couldn't sleep.

(It was only those nights when she slept peacefully, curled up next to him in the fort.)

She'd never had a brother, but she could almost imagine this was what it felt like, even if she didn't know Cisco well enough to say for sure.

Except...it didn't make sense. It didn't...these people barely knew her. Surely they were just...just being nice to stay on Dad's good side, right? Or they wanted something from her. Yeah, that had to be it.

What it was, though, she couldn't fathom—Cisco only spoke to give her comfort, or to tease her about something unrelated, and he never asked anything of her. And even Dad seemed surprised at how well they were getting along.

But Jesse didn't like owing people. So one day, she finally asked, "Okay, what do you want?"

Cisco looked over at her, startled. "I mean...I'd like to fluff this pillow, but—"

"You know what I mean. What do you want from me?"

Cisco frowned. "A...good night's sleep would be ni—"

"Cisco!"

"Jesse!"

"Ugh!" She threw her hands up in the air. "I don't get you! Why are you being so...so nice to me, so accommodating? You don't even know me, not really!"

"Do I have to know someone to care about them?" Cisco retorted.

"Why do you care about me?"

"Because you're important to me, you little shit!" Cisco sighed, running a hand through his hair. "To all of us, really. I'm just...the best person to understand what you went through."

She scoffed. "Oh, were you kidnapped by an evil speedster for months too?"

"No. I was just killed by one."

She froze, her heart skipping a beat. "I...what?"

"Barry saved me." He smiled sadly. "He always does that. But...because of my powers...I remember it, clear as day. My trusted mentor, calling me his son...and then tearing a hand through my heart."

"Cisco...I'm so—"

"Don't apologize. You asked."

"If I'd known—"

"You didn't."

"But if I had—"

"You didn't, Jess. Let it go." He sighed. "If you get lost in the if-onlys, you'll never get out. Trust me. I only barely manage it most days."

They sat in silence for a few moments, pillow forgotten...and lost for anything else to do, Jesse slowly reached over and hugged him.

Cisco hugged back, with a fierceness rivaled only by Dad's hugs, and it wasn't long before both of them were crying—full on sobbing—all while clinging to each other for dear life.

Jesse didn't have a brother. But she'd guess this was what it felt like...and she couldn't imagine a better feeling.

A3! reading club: act one (chapter 1-6)

(cw: talking about parental neglect and abuse, orientalism, one mention of suicide)

Hey, ten out of twelve isn't bad, all things considered! This very well could have gone down in October. Also, since it's February (March if you wanna be generous), does that mean everyone in Harugumi's slightly younger than their Year One ages now? Ack, timelines are confusing.

Izumi casually talking about how Yukio neglected her and following it up with "well, it was probably because he loved this theater so much!" is. Oh, girl. No wonder she snapped when Sakyo suggested he'd abandoned Mankai, because if he hadn't loved it, then why did she have to go through with that?

I'm not versed enough in Japanese particles but I recognize "daijoubu" and Tsuzuru watching this trainwreck unfold and saying something along the lines of "are you guys, like, okay?" is extremely funny.

Then we get to Sakuya and Masumi's family situations, which. From a meta perspective, it makes sense to want to give your minor protagonists the freedom that having parents limits. That's why the trope of "young protagonist in kid's spec fic media is conveniently an orphan" is so common. (was? I think it's becoming less common now.) The problem lies in the lack of willingness to follow through with the emotional conflict it creates, or resolve said conflict in a satisfying manner. Sure, I'm assuming they weren't starved or physically abused, but being treated like a burden when you're a child is still fucking traumatizing! Basically I think Izumi Sakuya and Masumi should start a union. And I'm glad later chapters go the reasonably more toned-down route of "my parents have a reasonable amount of trust in me to make these kinds of decisions".

Also, can we talk about Sakuya and Masumi, because they're one of my favorite brotps here. The way Sakuya appoints himself as Masumi's surrogate big brother? He's so eager to potentially share a room with him ;-;. (personally I hc that Ms. Sakuma was expecting another child before the accident or whatever killed them, so Sakuya's been a big brother without a younger sibling all this time </3)

Wow, that doesn't sound like a metaphor for anything! You're right, Izumi, why would you go the easy route of taking something prepackaged and guaranteed when a bunch of wildly different spices can create a delicious meal if you know how to utilize them right?

Am I grasping at straws here. Probably.

Tsuzuru, I'd think "antagonist" should be near the top of the list...also, there's plenty of plays that have been pulled off with two or three actors. Just put on "night, Mother" or something. (Joking. Don't look up night, Mother if you're sensitive to themes of suicide.)

HE'S HERE! Funny how Izumi's right about Citron not being a regular tourist right off the bat. He may not be from another troupe, but he's definitely "in character" right now.

Also, oof. Citron's my second fave in Harugumi after Sakuya, but it's glaringly obvious how much of his character is rooted in orientalism. Sure, maybe it's an act, but why is he talking about how "shameful" showing skin is when his top is (conveniently for us) THAT low-cut.

On another note, I know people have pointed out his distaste for pig's feet as evidence for headcanoning him as Muslim, but I haven't seen anyone point out how he calls Veludo Way a "mecca" of theatre. Like yeah, mecca can just mean hub, but...why didn't they just say hub? Words Have Connotations. I'm not saying this coding is good or bad, it's just a neutral observation.

Sexuality: god this is such a good question LMAO because for tagetes, sex isn't really about pleasure its about power and so what they enjoy is having power over others. they're a dom so they're into bdsm (VERY into bdsm-between themself and reginae they actually have a conjoined harem of about 50 paramours). however, they don't really like people to... touch them. so like. adjacent to the realm of "stone butch" because you're NOT touching their genitals; they aren't even getting naked and any touch that they give you with their hand is usually pain or tying you up. god this is a mess. they don't have a gender preference either so like tbh. their sexuality is just "dom" LMAOOOO. they'll top anyone and they better be into some kinky shit and power play.

romantically, they are aromantic. so bare min aroallo ig lol.

A ship I have with said character: I REALLY WISH THAT THEY WEREN'T SUCH A DICK BC THEM AND REGINAE ARE ACTUALLY SUCH A CUTE SHIP. like they totally enable one another and are they good people? absolutely not. but like, au where tagetes helps reginae kill off his brothers and they become ruling reagents and are absolutely obsessed with one another WHEN. tbh, i think in many ways, tagetes actually likes reginae, as a person. because tbh if they wanted to really get into a seat of power they wouldn't have chosen the fifth son of the reagent to weasel their way into a relationship with. but i think that they were somewhat... taken by reginae not trying to dampen their ambitions but encouraging them. reginae is VERY doting and in a weird way tagetes can be themself around them - which is yknow. an absolute piece of work, power hungry bastard, but reginae loves it and loves them. i wouldn't say that tagetes loves reginae; they are aromantic, however, they like reginae more than anyone else they have to spend time around so like. so fucking annoyed that they care about their ambition more than regi lmaooo.

A random headcanon: they smoke using a church warden pipe and its a very heavy nicotine laden blend. i gotta name it lol but its much harsher than the blend that amon and hya like to smoke. its a habit that they picked up from their father and they don't like to examine it too closely.

General Opinion over said character: tagetes is such an interesting character because i personally don't tend to get SO invested into my villainous characters (evondra in tcol and viktor in vdtrt are exceptions, however i like to call them the "not really evil, they are just ruled by their circumstances types where they are the way they are because of the hand that life has given them), to the point that i'm planning on writing a whole story centered around their terrible, horrible misdeeds, but like its fascinating getting to write a character so unapologetically horrible lol. like they suck! and its really a lot of fun to write how much they suck! i'm kinda obsessed with them lolol.

HUBRIS - the SIN of pride

Sexuality: he's on the mspec spectrum and probably the most romantically inclined of the sins aside from sion :3c he doesn't tend to stay in relationships for a long time tho and kind of flits to and from relationship to relationship depending on his mood. he has broken a LOT of hearts and usually has 4-6 flings going on at any given time lol

Gender: gnc masc but he uses he and sometimes they pronouns.

A ship I have with said character: i don't have a ship with him actually! i think he just kind of prefers not to be held down so i can't really imagine shipping him with one particular person, plus i haven't fully developed side characters for god eater quite yet; so perhaps in the future i'll have names for some of his flings lol

A BROTP I have with said character: he and ire are actually attached at the hip and even though she likes to deny how close they are they're super close and know each other like the back of each other's hands. he's dramatic and she's a hothead; its very jesse and james energy with the two of them lol.

A NOTP I have with said character: n/a really lol.

A random headcanon: he wears a lot of make up that's very extravagant and out there and usually spends a LOT of time on it. the one thing that never changes is that he has 3 small dots he always draws under each eye- no look for him is complete without them.

General Opinion over said character: hubris is such a fun guy he's literally the most dramatic and flamboyant darling ever. his bredth of emotion is all over the place; he can go from kind, to suave, to emotionally absent, to wailing in the span of like 5 minutes. he really lives life to the fullest and is one of the pieces of glue that holds the rest of the SINS together because he is absolutely planning to annoy all of them for eternity LMAO.

aside from the obvious, sparatus/quentius is also a fave, i do so love boss and loyal dragon dynamics, and the two of them are that plus a flip side out of work where they're just best mean girl friends hanging out being catty old men together. plus for bad end it makes it so much juicier that not only was sparatus quentius's friend but also a sometimes-lover, bad end hurts but it's so so deliciously messy

plus also @thetrashbagswasteland put sparatus/desolas in my head and it bops around from time to time, just like, suave but chaotic military man with the personality of a mob boss "you wanna fuck me so bad it makes you stupid" vs prickly by-the-book law boy "i hate that you're actually as charming as you think you are you charismatic asshole" i think it would be fun okay someday ill write it teia and abrudas can also get in on it for fun or they can bang on the side it's fine

A BROTP I have with said character: sparatus & quentius, for reasons listed above. the more i dabble around the more sparkyteia and quentilea are becoming just a platonic polypile, oopsie, they're all good friends. also quite fond of sparatus & saren, because saren is very well-trusted and the council's golden boy and not every spectre is going to have shepard's experience with the council so it only makes sense for saren to have that sort of loyal right hand kinda dynamic with sparky. sparatus & valern is also fun for my usual political intrigue reasons but we don't have time to get into the complicated bullshit fueling the turian-salarian alliance rn

A NOTP I have with said character: sparatus/shepard, for reasons i should hope are obvious by now. guys idk how to explain this but sometimes characters just hate you without secretly wanting to fuck you. he has legitimate criticisms of shepard and ill die on this hill, there's no ust he isn't into you and mad about it he just doesn't like your fucking attitude. and you can't convince me your shepard somehow turns it around into genuine love, i don't fucking believe you, it's ooc some characters will simply never grow to truly Like you more than respecting your ability and that's fucking okay and normal

also sparatus/saren, because while i adjust saren's age in my work to bring him up to 70 in me1 (and closer to sparky, 76) the main works i know of for that ship have sparatus more than twice his age (in his 60s while saren was EIGHTEEN) and taking advantage of the age gap and saren's emotional turmoil after his brother's death to groom him into the perfect partner, which... oh my god no. and it was presented as romantic! as saren's first real love before nihlus!! i am calling the police!! and pretty much everyone ive seen who talks about that ship got it from that fic so. yeah that author is my parasocial enemy

A random headcanon: despite how closely they have to work together, and sparky being a prosecutor pre-politics (thus allegedly on the side of the cops), he and pallin have a rather... antagonistic relationship, mostly because of how sparky responds to pallin's complaints about spectres ("i'll let them know" which usually means nothing will be done and the spectres will continue treating civil misdemeanors and traffic violations like a game) but also because sparky himself has personal beef with like 7 different prominent cops, is from a "fuck the cops they're imperial shills we can police ourselves" background, and is so so good at being pedantic and annoying when he's feeling petty which is any time pallin isn't talking about an actual serious issue. he wants pallin to stop bothering him about traffic stops. pallin wants to fuck the smug look off his face. they're not allowed to have face-to-face meetings without quentius present because they WILL go straight to childish squabbling.

Sexuality Headcanon: DESOLAS: Bisexual, in the very turian 'why should i give a fuck about gender we're both here and consenting to have fun' way SAREN: Demi, actually! In my verses, Saren honestly wasn't big on anything sexual nor interested in dating until Nihlus came on scene and then after some time as friends, it was like "oh. oh". Yeah that was a big revelation for him 😂 Gender Headcanon: i think it's fair to say that for both of them, they're cis given that their consideration of gender hasn't gone beyond 'i'm comfortable with my assigned-at-birth gender and associated pronouns' A ship I have with said character: DESOLAS: i mean, i'm assuming desabrudas is a given, naturally, but failing that look, letting him and adrien victus fuck nasty sounds hilarious. (It's because he's a great friend to have, loyal and great at balancing being amusingly annoying without being stressful to spend time with.) No. A random headcanon: (going with no-reapers crustyverse here) DESOLAS: A month before the birth of his daughter, he hands in his resignation and leaves, middle fingers raised, to be a very comfortable stay-at-home-dad. (Nearly) everyone says he'll be bored within the year, he laughs in their faces and loves every second of raising his (feral) child. Really, given how he most-of-the-way raised saren, everyone should have seen that coming. Just because he's older doesn't mean he's any saner. SAREN: This bitch has an unhealthy addiction to being squished into not being able to think or breathe. Multiple weighted blankets, thick duvets and, in the later years, Nihlus. The more crushed he is, the more comfortable he is actually. General Opinion over said character: (Holds both of them very close, squishes them until they suffocate) wonderful baby bastards, dramatic tarts, I wanna chew on them.

I am so very sorry for long this stayed in the box- but thanks a lot for the ask!

Favorite thing about them: Why must you make me choose. I can't. I can't do that. There's genuinely too many things to choose from.

...fine, I can do honorable mentions. One thing that piqued my interest in the tomato son all those years ago was how layered his persona can be... if you squint. Or if you're like me and relate to him on a spiritual level. You see, at the surface of his character, Yuuya's your average protag boy: fun-loving, good-natured and full of innocent hopes and dreams-

Except, that's not all there is to it. Not even at the very start of the story. We see from the get-go how he struggles with the weight of past events and his own doubts and insecurities -which only gets more and more prominent as the show goes on- all while holding onto his smiles in defiance against adversity, and trying to help others do the same as well. Personally, I still think that this is a deceptively simple yet very powerful message.

Least favorite thing about them: Ah, that's a question I can't quite answer. You see, there isn't anything specific I dislike about him, as much as there's stuff I dislike that happen to him- as in, to his character. Like the last stretch of the Xyz and Fusion arcs. Those parts did irreversible damage Yuuya's portrayal- so much so that even I, known for being more forgiving of the story's flaws than most, was shaking my head in denial through the first, second, and third watch. Lord help me when I reach them in the fourth.

Favorite line: Quoting myself from the Yuugo version of this post: would it be cheating the question if I said there's too many to count? Because it's still true. I know for a fact that I'll mention a line here and then find another one I prefer not a day later- that's how it is with the faves, I suppose. For the sake of not leaving this empty, though, here's one quote that stuck with me longer than most:

"The dueling I've had up until now isn't something I made alone. Because everyone was there, I was able to make it this far!"

brOTP: Yuugo!

...Saw that coming? Yes? No? Look, Yuuya's the protagonist so he naturally has a lot of interesting friendships, some established, some made over the course of the show... and a few entirely hypothetical, like this one. What can I say? I just think they'd go great together. Picture this: two idiots with half a braincell between them, who meet each other proper and instantly click. And get on like a house on fire from there. Seriously, they're so different yet similar in so many ways, and I think that'd lend itself to a great mutual underdtanding between the two- almost as if they have some kind of telepathetic link (hmmm). Putting them in one room for extended periods of time will either result in the most fun sort of chaos or in talks so deep they both end up bawling their eyes out in each other's arms.

They're friends. Besties. Brothers even.

OTP: Look, I'm a bonafide vanilla when it comes to romantic ships. Fruitshipping is my first and main OTP in all media of interest, and the threatre kiddos get a badge of honor for being one of a scant few pairs that got me extremely close to crying on more than 1 occasion. That's more than can be said for... *checks notes* ...99.8% of the characters I know!

nOTP: Hmm... there's none that come to mind, honestly. I don't mind seeing Yuuya paired with anyone, as long as the ship is not inherently inappropriate and/or isn't portrayed in any weird ways.

Random headcanon: Thanks to certain happenings towards the end of the plot, Yuuya ends up developing the unconscious habit of hoarding things precious to him. He'll go to sleep curled up in the middle of a nest of blankets and pillows, surrounded by all his favorite plushies, random trinkets and gifts from friends, and of course, his pendulum and card partners (thank god in-universe cards are stupidly sturdy). The first time Youko chances upon him in this state, deep in the peaceful bliss of slumber, she stealthily snaps a photo and- huh? No, you didn't hear a thing. "Cuteness overload can be heard from over a mile away?" Pfft, nonsense.

Unpopular opinion: No idea how unpopular this may be, but... I don't get the claims that Yuuya's not a good duelist?

Several people point out that he relies on Action cards to stall out a duel until he can turn it around, and conclude that as such, he's less skillful than most of his opponents. That take confuses me more than anything; after all, isn't it in the nature of the Action duel rule that one must make use of the card scattered around them? They're not just there for show, nor are they solely used for their effects. And besides, it's clear that Yuuya's particular brand of entertainment dueling places heavy emphasis on the dynamic aspect, which is why he's always running around the field and trying to make a spectacle out of every move. That doesn't diminish his skill in any way I can see- he's just more inclined to using resources outside those in his deck, thanks in part to needing more combo pieces than survivability cards by virtue of using Pendulums.

Song I associate with them: Assuming any song qualifies, I'd say it's Future Fighter; because it's literally Yuuya's (and Reiji's) very own personal song. It highlights core aspects of their personalities through the lyrics- and what do you know, our boy has a very nice singing voice too! It was one among many highlights from the back half of ARC-V S1 to me.

Favorite picture of them: Look, I just want to see him happy. I think he deserves to display genuine joy more often. And the more sparkles the episode budget allows, the better! So with that in mind, here's a few of my favorite pics of the boyo.

So I've noticed that the Bat fandom is split between those who ship the Batboys with each other, and those who very adamantly don't. Like, to an aggressive degree. It's honestly pretty hilarious.

I, myself, am a connoisseur of both. I can appreciate quality content of the Batboys being either brotp or otp, sometimes even both at the same time, it honestly doesn't matter. But some of you guys have obviously never had an adopted sibling/relative and it shows. Like, it really fucking shows, oh my god.

I keep seeing this really upsetting thing where people keep justifying their ship by literally saying that it's cool and totally not weird because the boys "aren't really related" and that they "aren't real brothers"?? Like, what the actual fuck guys?? Do you honestly not understand how absolutely disgusting and horrible that is to say?? You're literally saying that being legally adopted doesn't make you family. That shit is so not it. Ship who you want to ship, it's honestly nobody's business, but don't invalidate their relationship like that. Character ask: Miriam and Jochebed

Okay. I hope I don't get too many more Bible character asks, because I'm honestly not religious , but here goes. I'll cover both mother and daughter together, because one of my favorite pictures of them is a painting of them both.

Favorite thing about them:

Jochebed: Her love, bravery, and cleverness in protecting her son Moses, by technically following the law ("Every Hebrew boy must be thrown into the Nile") but putting him in a water-tight basket and having her daughter watch over him until he's safely found.

Miriam: Her status as a revered female prophet, who protected her brother Moses as a child, who led the Israelites in music and dance at the Red Sea, and who earned the respect and loyalty of her people. I especially like the emphasis that modern Judaism places on her holiness and position of power.

Least favorite thing about them:

Jochebed: That she had to give up her son to save his life, the poor woman, though at least she was able to be his wet nurse.

Miriam: Her possible racism in criticizing Moses "because of his Cushite wife." Although people have tried to find a more sympathetic explanation for that passage: for example, one legend has it that Miriam and Aaron were defending Zipporah, because Moses had separated from her to live a more holy life of celibacy, not objecting to Moses having married her. At any rate, at least she's punished and humbled when God strikes her with a temporary skin disease.

Three things I have in common with them:

*I'm part Jewish.

*I have dark hair, as they must have in that time and place.

*Like Miriam with her tambourine, I believe in the spiritual power of music.

Three things I don't have in common with them:

*I've never been a slave.

Random headcanon: For Jochebed, she was born very late in her father Levi's life, so even though her husband Amram was her nephew, she was younger than he was. (I hope nothing in the text contradicts this.) Of course, the very fact that Levi, son of Jacob, was her father is hard to believe, because it would have made her an impossibly elderly mother when Moses was born, even older than Sarah was at Isaac's miraculous birth. But we probably shouldn't worry about whether the timeline is realistic or not – it's innately convoluted and full of contradictions, probably because it consists of multiple sources strung together over centuries.

For Miriam, I like the Jewish legend that a well or a spring followed her throughout the desert, providing water for the Israelites, and that it dried up when she died, which explains why in the Book of Numbers there's suddenly no water after her death.

Unpopular opinion: I don't think I have one.

Thank you so much @squid-guts, I literally love you for sending me Sangwoo because he's my favourite character in Squid Game and it's been so long since I've written something about him ❤️

Sexuality headcanon: GAY, SANGWOO IS DEFINITELY GAY. He's so queer coded and doesn't have an ounce of heterosexuality in him. He was even super offended when Gi-hun asked him if he has a girlfriend 😂

OTP: Sangihun all the way ❤️ first off, I love the friends to enemies to lovers trope, and secondly, you simply cannot tell me they didn't date in high school, if you say they didn't, you're lying. These 2 have history and it's very obvious, all that bad blood from Sangwoo towards Gi-hun has to come from somewhere 🤷‍♀️ Also they're INTJ x ESFP, they're each other's polar opposite and that makes up for a juicy dynamic ❤️

BROTP: Ali and Sangwoo, Sangwoo seems to have a soft spot for Ali but I see them as brothers only to be honest 🤷‍♀️

NOTP: Sangwoo x ...Il Nam? Sangwoo x Sae Byeok too sorry ;-; but I don't judge whoever ships them.

First headcanon that pops into my head: As I said, one of my biggest headcanons is that they were together in the past. And that they had a VERY nasty break up. When they use to date, everything was awesome but then Sangwoo went to SNU, and Gi-hun didn't wait for him and got married, Sangwoo got bitter towards him and buried his feelings all those years. Then when he saw Gi-hun again in the games, he felt anger and resentment towards him but he acted as if he didn't care (he was just pretending, Sangwoo cares a lot but he pretends), that resentment pushed him to wanting revenge and not warning him in game 2, even if that would mean Gi-hun would be killed, he wanted to convince himself that he had no feelings for Gi-hun and that he wouldn't care if he dies or not but after he did that he regretted it so much that he realised he still has feelings for Gi-hun, but it was too late and there was no way to stop the game, so he left Gi-hun's survival to chance, which he hated and was so angry at himself for it, he had some serious emotional pain when the game was ongoing, then Gi-hun survived and he felt so relieved, he was still mad and resentful but he realised he still has feelings for him despite everything and we know the rest, just Sangwoo struggling about not being over his first love. If Gi-hun hadn't survived Sangwoo would have never forgiven himself and would have unalived himself, we know Sangwoo is suic*dal.

Favorite line from this character: “I'll pick, okay?” -proceeds to push man off the bridge- (sorry ;-;)

One way in which I relate to this character: Okay time to get serious here, I relate to him getting embarrassed and uncomfortable whenever Gi-hun bragged about Sangwoo's accomplishments and being considered the genius of his neighbourhood because I've been there too, whenever people brag about me I get so uncomfortable because when people know that you went to an elite college or they consider you smart, they place very high and unrealistic expectations on you and you have to live with those expectations on your shoulders, which is a huge weight and you somehow are forced to live up to the expectations of others. Perhaps that's why he invested in futures and stocks, because he wanted to live up to the very high expectations people placed on him. It is really very uncomfortable when other people brag about your accomplishments, if you have been in that situation in the past you may understand how uncomfortable it is. Your close ones feeling proud is pretty much appreciated but other people don't need to know, precisely because of the high expectations they will inevitable place on you. For Sangwoo it's better to lay low, also because he's an introvert (extreme introverts will understand this). This gets even worse in Asian societies. As a person of Asian descent myself, let me tell you the pressure is hard!! the expectations are hard, you are expected to succeed so your parents can brag about you and if you don't, they see you as a failure, so in a way I can understand Sangwoo, that's why he ended up there in the games, he didn't want to disappoint anyone.

Thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: He not admitting his gayness and feelings about Gi-hun is very cringy.

Cinnamon roll or problematic fave? Problematic fave all the way, but he's still one of the most complex and nuanced characters in the show ❤️
