request: Hello! I would like to do a request if its posible about headcanons of smiley, Kazutora and Rindou with a S/O thats always lonely at school - she just wants a friend to talk to and have fun with besides her boyfriend

KAZUTORA

aint no way kazutora is gonna allow for his baby to feel lonely at school—NOT ON HIS FUCKING WATCH !!

it was hard to be by your side, since kazutora was in jail (lmfao) for years

he felt extremely guilty, basically cried himself to sleep everynight since the day you told him about how you were beginning to feel at school

his heart clenched when you explained how isolated you felt from everyone else, especially since he was never around to hang out anymore

BUT THE DAY HE CAME BACK—oh, you're in for it now, classmates of y/n

with his unique charm and handsome looks, he's practically threatening asking everyone to befriend you with a simple ring of his earring

"sit with y/n at lunch today, kay?" with his cute little head tilt

there's basically a line up of people ready to sit next to you but of course that seat is reserved for kazutora and kazutora only

"ah, ah, ah! that's mine seat assholes, nice try though!"

you're confused as to why they would even listen to your boyfriend, since he's kinda a dick (don't tell him that) but you are grateful for his efforts

you're able to meet a lot of nice and genuine people, who are equally as happy they met you as well

the smile on your face as you converse with your new buddies is enough for kazutora to feel accomplished

but don't go forgetting about him!—kazu needs his daily kiss-on-the-cheek at lunch, too!

RINDOU

i feel like rindou could sort of empathize with your feelings; i hc him and ran don't have many friends besides each other and fellow gang members

since the two of them spent almost their entire teen years getting into trouble with the police and otherwise

rindou's silent as he listens, nodding to show you his understanding before he places a kiss on your knuckles and gestures you to come with him

he begins to invite you out more—to hang out with ran and him

eventually, you're going on insanely late bike rides with them and the rest of tenjiku

you're surprised how quickly you got along with the members, and rindou can tell you're having fun everytime you laugh at an inside joke with shion or choke on your drink at sanzu's antics

and because rindou is exposing you to other connections, you're able to meet people you never dreamed you would've befriended

you show your gratefulness to him one night parked outside a convenience store—the rest of the boys having gone inside to purchase snacks and drinks

"thank you for everything, rin'" you tiptoe to place a peck on his lips, pulling back slightly before he pushes himself further onto you, making your lips smack together once more

he chuckles into the kiss when you grip onto his arms for balance, "don't worry about it, sweetheart."

"OH MY GOD, GET A ROOM YOU TWO!" - ran

"YEAH NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO SEE YOU SUCK EACH OTHER'S FACES OFF!" - sanzu

cue izana and kakucho laughter

"FUCK OFF!" - rindou and you, simultaneously

"well when you say it like that, it makes me sound like a loser!" you playfully push your boyfriend by his chest >:(

like rindou, smiley suggests you spend more time with his friends instead! you were already pretty well aquainted with them all, except for a few

you were excited, so excited that smiley found it cute the way you squeezed him a little tighter on the bike ride to the gang's hang out spot

today, mikey and baji had decided to invite everyone to a nearby arcade

draken, mitsuya, and mucho were currently waiting with them, conversing amongst themselves as they waited for the remainder people to arrive

"we're here!! and y/n is with me." smiley announces, parking his bike and walking hand in hand with you; you smile at the towering men, as they recognize your face from afar

"took you twins long enough! and hey y/n! it's been a while, how've you been?" draken asks with a wide grin, hand reaching out for a fist bump

mitsuya greets you as well, stating he's happy you could make it and mucho simply nods with a smile

him and smiley share a handshake while you catch up with the other boys, mikey and baji equally happy to see you here

the day is filled with laughter and greasy snacks from the fast food next door, until everyone is hopping on their bikes and bidding one another goodnight

"you have fun today?" smiley asks casually, arms propped behind his head

"yes, my baby, thank you." you kiss the boy on the cheek, and he wraps his arms around you with glee

"just know you're invited for all future toman hang outs, 'kay!"

Hello my lovelies. Happy holidays!!

Sorry for being a bit late with your Christmas present but here I have a drawing of Lin Beifong!! I hope y’all like it!! Took me roughly 4.5 hours to complete it so I hope y’all like it.

I’m sure if we’re in any discord groups together, you’ve already heard about my evil Lin, but if you haven’t, oop- owo I won’t say anymore yet skdksjkdjskdjksjdksj

Anyways here, have a Lin Beifong. And below the line, you could read some HC’s about Linny and the holidays 🥺

Here are some hc’s I have for holiday Lin!

Lin is the type of person that would spend a lot of money getting the people she loves, presents for the holidays, but when she receives a rather expensive gift she is ready to murder you for spending that much.

Lin pretends she doesn’t care for the holidays but she does listen to what you want for the holidays. You could be mindlessly be babbling on and on about what you want or what you’ve seen and Lin always makes a mental note on it.

Her first year without Tenzin or her family, Lin had covered so many shifts during the holidays, she was given a new Sato vehicle by everyone helping in and giving it to Lin after the holidays were over. They thanked Lin, gave her a party and said she was the nicest person in the precinct, tho that was before Lin showed them other wise.

During the years, Lin always allowed her men to take the holidays off and would cover their shifts, even if it was beat cop work. She always enjoyed the way her boys perked up hearing they were allowed time off at their work.

Lin would throw a party for the people that worked during the holidays, she’d always have food ready for her men, drinks, holiday themed treats and sometimes even gifts she got for them. The gifts always included either pairs of socks, gift cards for food or even a nice bottle of whiskey.

Her boys adored Lin and knew under her hard, cold exterior she was nice and very thoughtful. It became a tradition to fill Lin’s office up with random stuff every year. One year it was fancy coats, the next turtle ducks, and so on and so forth. Though the year of the turtle ducks had to be their favorite it because Lin chased the little ducklings around making sure they weren’t squished. They’ve never seen Lin ever hold an animal but that year they saw Lin look so caring for her now new babies.

When Lin would look at her city from the roof tops, her men would take turns checking in on Lin, giving her hot chocolate breaks, snack breaks and even warming her hands up.

When Mako began his job at the precinct, he was confused on why Lin only had them do “paperwork” instead of actual police business. He was even more confused when Lin told him to shut up and party. It wasn’t until later they explained that Lin always threw a party during the holidays for the people that either don’t have families, homes or don’t celebrate the holidays. And when Lin gave Mako not only a nice coat and gloves but also a gift card to one of the best dry cleaners in the city for his scarf to make sure it’s always in good condition and cleaned.

Soon Mako got into the spirit of things at work and he loved his job more. When he and Lin grew closer and he began to see Lin as some sort of mother figure, he one day gave Lin a scarf. Everyone knew Lin would never wear such a thing but were surprised when she wore it. Now Lin and Mako matched and it was a bond.

Lin may not have a family anymore but her men were hers, they were her family and Lin couldn’t be happier.

My Trafalgar Law HC’s!! pt.4🥳🥳

This one’s longer and is kinda inspired by some people around me, but most of these I could honestly see for him!!

He doesn’t work at a hospital. He owns a private clinic. If he did, he’d work in the ER. He’d have a scribe. He’d either be very grumpy or very patient to work with.

He doesn’t read Homestuck/doesn’t really like it but if he absolutely had to choose his favorite human would be Dave Strider. I literally have no clue what his favorite troll would be, but I’m guessing maybe like Aradia or Karkat.

His favorite Nintendo series is Star Fox.

He’s more of a Vinesauce guy than a Jerma guy.

If you asked him what the three most recent songs he’s listened to are, he’d probably say:

Madhouse-Matt Maltese

Everyone Here Hates You-Courtney Barnett

Climbing Up The Walls-Radiohead

How they appeared on his playlist or if he even liked them is up to you.

He’s not a Taylor Swift fan, but I could see State of Grace, Red, Sparks Fly, Mine, All Too Well (10 min version) and Love Story being his favorite songs. (I literally can’t explain this one LOL)

He doesn’t mind Lofi.

This one is actually inspired by an old friend of mine, but he doesn’t really watch anime. He watches a lot of analysis videos on YouTube and if it’s interesting enough, he’ll watch it. This was the case for Cardcaptor Sakura, Fruits Basket, and Ergo Proxy.

He’s seen Phoebe Bridgers in concert with Nami. She also introduced him to Mitski.

Radiohead is probably his favorite artist. He also likes Paramore and Mitski

(Note: Before, I thought it was FATM, but a lot of my HC's and fanfic content heavily revolve around Radiohead. So, there's that. He probably still really likes FATM though. Same for Evanescence.)

He loves Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding, and stuff like Half Life, Silent Hill, Portal, Overwatch and GMOD.

He likes watching Luffy play Skyrim and would probably be better than him if he played it.

He cried playing Shadow of the Colossus, Deemo, and Yomawari. He’s also cried playing some other games.

He went through an Undertale phase. He also cried playing it. He’d also be the person to spoil the whole route system, and would get annoyed if you don’t do “the good route”.

He really likes Batman. He prefers DC.

His favorite channel is Adult Swim.

If you show him Star Wars I-III he’ll make really funny jokes the entire time. He also really likes Chewbacca, Luke, and Obi Wan. And if you gift him a lightsaber you might find him on the deck late at night doing lightsaber tricks.

He LOVES Pikmin.

He sucks at MarioKart.

He’s really good at Smash Bros but he’ll silently rage quit if he’s doing bad or loses. His main is Cloud.

His favorite Pokémon is Lucario, but he also likes Bulbasaur. His favorite element is electric, so he also likes Espeon and Umbreon.

He does not participate in Secret Santa at the clinic.

This one’s kinda obvious but his favorite AOT character is Levi.

His favorite Demon Slayer characters are Rengoku and Nezuko. He bawled when Rengoku died.

His favorite BTS member is Jungkook.

When Pokémon Go was big, he used to drive Luffy, Chopper, and Nami around. Them and Kid and Killer would be fighting for Poke stops all the time, and leech (MaxMoeFoe reference) off their lures. Things would get so heated LOL

If you ask him to watch a Kdrama with you he’d hate it at first but then get really into it. He'd get so upset at any cliffhangers.

This one’s also obvious but he hates the color pink.

He doesn’t play Minecraft. And he probably wouldn’t in the foreseeable future.

Being in a very mogai-infested fandom is pain, but I'm probably most annoyed by demisexuality being so rampant as a HC. There is no reason for that label to even exist. I just came across a fanfic and decided to read it just to see what the author considers to be "demisexual" and:

[[Casual intimacy isn’t his thing if he’s being honest. The idea of sex without the weight of romance isn’t something he feels he’s comfortable with.]]

That's... literally normal. In fact, it's what I was specifically taught as a child was normal. That sex should only be had with the person I loved, and preferably was already engaged/married to. Because my family is catholic and that's their conservative opinion on sex.

It's totally fine to not be into one night stands or other hookups, but you are not a different sexuality because of it, otherwise being catholic is also a sexuality I guess.

(I didn't proof read any of this, so apologies now)

Gonna go off on a tangent here, but I swear it's related:

Growing up I watched a lot of Disney. And something I noticed a lot in any non animation show or movie, was just how rich everyone was. A house would have only a father and daughter, but have 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, a massive living room and dining room, and a state of the art full blown security system that at the time I didn't actually believe could actually exist cuz no 'normal' person could have that. And that would be the standard for many movies that were very much supposed to be realistic in the settings. They'd even say these people have average jobs. Even the apartment in wizards of Waverly place was HUGE. With each kid having their own bed rooms significantly larger than mine. They literally own a family restaurant that they live upstairs in. But the apartment was bigger than my childhood home. And this is coming from a kid who grew up middle class, the most well of between all my friends. If I were to base what the normal American home looks like based on the media I watched as a kid, I would have a very warped idea of what homes look like. If you actually look at the stats, not even my middle class home is normal.

Mainstream media is produced by rich people (the workers under them not so much, but the actual person in charge generally), and that can easily give a bias or warped view of what's "normal." This is even more exaggerated by the fact that characters in mainstream media are designed to be interesting not normal.

So if you're basing your idea of attraction, dating, sex, etc on what you see in the media, it's going to be warped. Which I feel like ties into your comments quite well.

Usually when I see people try to explain what is and isn't normal for experiences of attraction I get examples of media and fiction. Usually examples of characters having one night stands or being playboys. Which:

1. Flirty play boy characters are common in the media because it's easy to make them a dynamic character. Giving them character development or to gain special feelings quickly give them a whole new perspective that audiences love (this isn't a bad thing for the record).

2. Most irl people who are like these fictional characters don't get nearly as many one night stands as they or the media claim. They aren't nearly as much of a player as they seem. And they're also usually pretty annoying unlike the characters in the shows who are made to be likeable. It's unrealistic in the first place.

3. Media itself is not a good standard of what is normal as it's entirely biased on what the producer deems as normal or average. See my tangent at the beginning. The characters aren't a good way to figure out what's "normal."

I have had people explain things usually actual people as examples which I think ties into my earlier rant in exactly the same way.

How you view the people around you (or more accurately your perception of them) is biased. You have a limited social circle and can't really base what's standard for society off of it. I'm guilty of this too. We all are. It's a very natural thing to assume everyone is like the people that you have experienced with-- for better or for worse..

If you're in your teens and have teenage friends, it's gonna be really easy to feel like they're all obsessed with sex or dating. It's a new thing that you're (hopefully) just now really learning about and exploring. It's easy to go a little overboard with something new. And it's also normal to not be interested in something new. Some kids are gonna be really into dating while others aren't. Some are gonna go from one person to another, others aren't. Cuz no one knows what they're doing. No one knows their boundaries yet. No one knows what they want outta relationship yet. They're figuring it out. Whether you are interested in it or not-- both ends of the spectrum and everything in between is totally normal.

As a young adult you're still figuring things out so it's the same thing. Your own journey to figuring out what/who/how/where you want a relationship is gonna be unique then someone else's. It's normal for each person to have a different journey. This alone isn't some new identity.

Lastly, on a final note. The amount of people who want "sex without romance" is a lot smaller than we're led to believe. And the people who do feel that way are the ones who are abnormal. They may have trauma that influences it, they may not. They could be likeable, they could not. They may be abusers who just want someone to abuse, they may not have any ill will at all. They may be a shitty person, they may not. Regardless, our society pushes "romance goes with sex" a whole hell of a lot more than "sex and romance are separate." Like... a lot so. Historically and in the modern day.

So if your entire reasoning for a whole brand new identity is "I want to connect before we date or have sex," I need you to know how much that is actually extremely normal. And how much you've been influenced by biased media, possibly a shitty friend or ex, and just a warped pov in general (not necessarily of any fault of your own).

i would actually really disagree with the lack of compatibility thing?

i think that gem is outgoing but still introverted, and she really loves talking to people and making a lot of friends, as well as helping out those friends! we see this with skizz’s terraforming, building the pathing infrastructure near cherry mountain, and with her letting etho take whatever he wants from her base! but at the same time that she is helpful, she is not a people pleaser. she’s assertive and funny. she goes up to her friends chests and takes stuff out bc “these are mine now actually” but she has the ability to do that bc she’s so charismatic and easy to love!

and this plays very well with etho’s general awkwardness to the point of nigh agoraphobia at some points. (i hc c!etho as selectively mute bc he just. doesn’t/can’t talk if he feels socially anxious. he accidentally built up a persona of cool and aloof despite being the wettest cat alive.) i am very new here but i think the first time they spoke to each other for an extended period of time was while gem was teaching him how to fight. and bc gem’s charisma comes from being adaptable to situations but still maintaining her personality, she was able to teach etho a lot (counter-critting, stopping sprinting in order to crit, crit combos) and they both very clearly enjoyed it a lot! etho and gem were laughing and talking basically the whole time, and i think that’s where their dynamic of mutually teasing each other as a way to show affection started. gem didn’t treat etho like someone on a pedestal they could never reach, and she also didn’t expect him to be amazing right away. she let him be fallible and we know that all of the ppl etho is close to do the same things. every duo etho is a part of has a strong dynamic of mutual teasing. him and bdubs, him and cleo, him and joel, and more recently him and tango. with tango though that relationship is pretty new and so a lot of their interactions are just focused on redstone.

and i don’t think gem is that feral or frantic? she gets very absorbed into her projects and she likes being silly with it. she also Commits to the Bit. but i don’t think, at least this season, she’s very off-the-wall. again, i’m new here, and i’ve only seen gem’s perspective of her s10 videos and the hide and seek one, so i am still new to her character/persona.

i think one reason ppl may think of her as feral is because of the way she interacts with specifically etho. and also the “geminislay” nickname. but she’s more than that nickname. in all of the clips of them in decked out, she is at max energy and is constantly punching/fighting etho, but they’re both giggling like schoolgirls the entire time. she doesn’t do that to other ppl though, so it’s not just her general personality. it’s her cute aggression instinct. she’s infatuated with etho so naturally her reactions to anything he does are going to be exaggerated and over the top. but she’s not always seized by that cute aggression instinct, she’s absolutely able to hang out with etho while at a lower level of intensity. etho though does sometimes instigate bc he also thinks she’s adorable. he hit her like 6 times as they dug the tunnel, i’m not convinced that all of those were accidental.

and etho isn’t laid back and serene, he’s earnest and silly and intelligent but also very uncomfortable in most social situations. the recent clip of him literally being a wet cat while asking beef for shulkers (he wants them nyeow!!) is a bit of an insight into how he is actually very silly! his little “oh schnappers” is also a good example. he just doesn’t always show it or show that he cares bc he doesn’t know how to do it in a way that isn’t awkward, and the feeling of awkwardness is like his least favorite feeling in the entire world.

sorry all that to say: they are incredibly compatible and i’m making them kiss. sillies.

Splatoon oc shiz again~

Just putting it out here, all of my OCs are off different sub species of inklings/octolings inspired by real species!

Gyaru and Ane

The sisters are of a firefly squid x spear squid mix. They do in fact have glow marks only visible at night as well as having more pointy longer and narrower ears than a normal inkling would.

Their squid form looks normal…except the fact that their mantles are elongated making them look larger and narrower than standard.

Juuni

He’s an albino california two-spot octopus. While it is visible that he’s albino with his eye mask being white due to lack of melanin, the two spots are located on his upper back as tattoos shaped like eyes.

His octopus form is also pretty normal, only thing that’s different is that he’s pretty much white and the spots are visible on each side of his head.

Tag

He’s a coconut octopus. His tentacles are relatively curly, even his sideburns are curled up. Though he’s currently rocking the dreadlocks so you don’t get to see his curly tentacles in full glory :(

BUT, his octopus form does show his curly tentacles in full glory so that’s a plus!

Natsu

He’s a blue-ringed octopus. The tip of his tentacles have a slight blu-ish tint to it, along with a more blu-ish tint on the rings/spots on the tentacles.

However when aggressive, Natsu’s tentacles take on a more bright and vibrant blue, his iris will take be visible from a white/transparent to a blue-to-yellow gradient.

His fingertips will also have a blue gradient to it with faint blue veins running through his arms and neck. Not to worry though, Natsu’s relatively docile even though his ass is supposed to eat his damn mandatory suppressing medication that neutralises his venom in his saliva and weakening his muscles and aggressive thoughts

(A HC of mine where species of a venomous and/or aggressive nature are given mandatory suppressants to protect the rest of the citizens of the Splatoon world)

Natsu’s octopus form would just be the standard octo aquatic form but with blue tints to his tentacles and rings.

(WOW THAT IS A LOT OF THE WORD “BLUE” )

Ryōmen and his brothers

Ever wonder why the Yakumans are so fucking huge when you saw the height chart on my other posts? Well here’s your answer: they’re Humbolt squids.

Other than the massive size, they have razor sharp teeth as well as small tiny teeth inside of their suction cups.

Like Natsu, they were supposed to eat medication but them running a family-owned gang and them curating a hidden black market where other Inkopolis citizens can eat…y’know—“premium” fish/squid/octopus meat means that the brothers clearly did not even touch even one pill.

As humbolts, they do in fact eat those “premium” meat and even occasionally meat of other humboldt inklings, in order to maintain their body strength.

(HC part 2, difference between the suppressants venomous species eat vs the ones aggressive/strong species eat is: VS suppressants mainly neutralise the venom mostly and AS suppressants are drowsy and weaken the muscles greatly.)

Their squid form is your standard squid form but WAY bigger, but smaller than kraken size and their suction cups still have those teeth.

Enperry and Emin

They’re both completely the same as Gyaru & Ane.

And if you guys haven’t noticed it yet, the Maguro sisters are in fact the same people as the Kumonryu brothers. They’re just crossdressing as male idols to hide their identity for safety purposes.

And sorry this post is so long!

Brandon - Obviously... Other than the at the moment when he's trying to be a prince, that ascot is a no go lol. I headcanon he goes to the gym a lot, which results in a lot of gym clothes lol. He tends to go for clothes that show off his arms bc he's proud of them. He is also quite partial to a long crop top though. I also hc and idk why lol, to be the type of person to wear shorts no matter the weather lol, which tends to baffle people who are just onlookers.

Sky - Brandon made fun of Sky and his 'over dramaticness' about the ascot, so as revenge Sky told him the ascot was a necessity in his casual wear for the disguise. A lot of his 'casual' wear is just trousers and a loose fitting shirt. Until Brandon (and by extension Riven) introduced the wonders of the crop top. His casual wear often became a pair of joggers with a crop top and matching jacket, he has never looked back.

Riven - When school isn't 'on' he goes for more practical wear, bc he's quite an overprepared fella. When Red Fountain is on, he will turn to crop top and jeans. He hates joggers (bc they're too loose fitting) and despises shorts. So he always watches on with horror when Sky (Brandon) wears shorts, it does not help that they are the posh shorts (Brandon agrees, he didn't know you could get posh shorts and would just be happy with his basketball ones)

Timmy - He likes to wear funny shirts with stupid puns on them, literally any shirt with a pun on he will buy. He pairs them with jeans a lot of the time but will also pair them with jean shorts in summer. When it's cold or if he's hanging out in colder areas his solution is either a long sleeved punny t-shirt or a punny jacket or worse comes to worse a long sleeved under lay. He also likes caps.

Bloom - She loves embroidered jeans they can have stars, flowers, hearts or literally any cute design. She pairs them with long sleeved crop tops. She also likes dungarees! She then wears a lot of leggings when she's just lounging around the house.

Stella - She likes most things, but she especially loves dresses, either short or long. She likes the way they make her feel - more elegant and pretty. She loves trying new combinations of colours together just to see whether they work or not, but as long as they work in her eyes then she doesn't consider it to matter bc she feels good (which is the mindset I wish everyone could have bc that'd be nice). When wearing skirts she pairs them with any kind of top. The sad thing about all this is, she very easily gets cold so most of the time she is shivering and more often than not needs to add another layer, as she gets older though she becomes more skilled at like channeling the warmth from the sun to her as the fairy of the sun (+ moon). But idk whether to continue with that. I'm thinking of actually making a post to do with her moon powers bc I'd love to explore them.

Flora - She wears dresses too, a lot, as long as they are flowy. It's the same with tops when she is wearing her skirt. She wears tops with puffy sleeves. And also a lot of the time, she has them with flowery patterns. Headcanon time, I think she does a lot of sewing (not as much as Stella does) so if she needs to fix her clothes she does it herself!

Musa - She loves cargo trousers or cargo pants? She likes the deep pockets bc headcanon of mine, she loves to take ig the magic dimension version of cds and cassettes. She loves low rise jeans also, and has a soft spot for low rise things in general. She likes one shouldered croptops the most, but doesn't mind a good long sleeve t shirt.

Tecna - Tends to wear trousers and t shirts, doesn't mind a tank top here and there. She despises frills in casual wear, she loves it in her 'fancy' or going out clothes, but dislikes the impractical nature of it in casual day to day wear. Headcanon time, Bloom brought some sequen tops (the ones that flipped) just to hang out with, but ends up giving them to Tecna as Tecna is genuinely in awe and loves how they feel when she flips them.

I fell victim of characters limit :( I don't know if you've adressed the subject before and if you have I am so sorry please ignore that it: Do you have headcanons about the relationship between Uncle Ned and Alex BEFORE THE SLAP (we know Alex was fangirling over his uncle but girl...your analyses give me life so i'll drink your hc like a dying man would the water of an oasis), and AFTER THE SLAP? Does Alex forgive ? Is it one more trauma to add to his long list ? Love you <3

You know, I've actually never done any Alex & Uncle Ned focused headcanons. A friend of mine requested I do an analysis post of the Uncle Ned episodes like 2 years ago, and I was like "Ok, sure!" and then never followed through, lol. (Also, don't apologize; even if I had gotten an ask like this in the past, I'd still be happy to add to my previous thoughts!)

Alex and Uncle Ned BTS (Before the Slap)

Alex was Uncle Ned's #1 fan from the time he was young. Since Ned knew much more about the business world than Steven and Elyse, visits from his uncle gave Alex the chance to gush about the subject with someone who was just as interested as he was.

The thing about Uncle Ned is that he's SUPER fun and silly and carefree, which is very opposite of how Alex is, but Ned also seems to "get" his nephew really well. Alex is sort of an outcast in his family, but he and Ned can connect intellectually, and I can see that as being important to Alex, especially as a little kid who's considered weird by his peers. His Uncle Ned serves as an example of how someone can take their interest in business and turn it into success.

Though they have fun with their serious conversations, Ned thinks it's important to encourage Alex to broaden his horizons. So, yeah, he'll sit around and talk the stock market and economics for a while, but then he tries to get his nephew to focus on something else. A game of baseball, discussions about movies or music, etc. Ned wants Alex to get out of his head every so often, and he's good at figuring out how to do that.

Alex definitely has a framed picture of Uncle Ned somewhere in his room. Maybe a picture in his wallet, too, to go along with the article about his uncle that he carries around. He takes it out to impress people. "Did you know my uncle is Junior Vice President of the Syntram Corporation? Here's an article and picture of him." Likewise, Ned definitely talks about Alex at his work. "You know what my brilliant nephew said the other day...?"

I'm pretty sure both Uncle Ned episodes contain scenes where Alex and Ned are in the kitchen eating late-night snacks after the rest of the family has gone to bed, and I'd like to headcanon that as being a pattern whenever he comes to visit. The two of them meet up and sit around the table, chatting and eating cereal or sandwiches while they chat about the goings on in their lives. It's Uncle Ned's chance to pick Alex's brain and get the inside scoop on his school and friends and such.

ATS (After the Slap) ☹️

I have a lot of conflicting thoughts regarding how things would play out in the aftermath of "Say Uncle." It really is a bummer that they drop Ned entirely from the show. I mean, the least they could've done is mention him in passing in another episode or something to let us know how he was doing? Like. That episode leaves SO MUCH unaddressed. Does Ned actually go to rehab? Does he get better? Mend the now broken relationship with his family and dear nephew who thought the world of him???

As far as headcanons go, I can go the depressing route or the optimistic route. Depressing route says that Ned tries rehab for a little but doesn't stick with it. The fact that his life has kind of fallen apart around him, coupled with his inability to take things seriously/his need to constantly goof off might lead him to be like, "Why bother with this?" If that's the case, he'd likely only spiral more into alcoholism and continue to wreck his own life. And, being ashamed of how he acted in front of his family, I could see him just running away from it all, going off the grid and cutting contact. Very much a bummer to think about. (And could explain why they never talk about him after that episode)

The optimistic route says that The Slap serves as Ned's firm wake up call that he needs to get his act together. He's horrified that he could do something so terrible, but it pushes him to get the help that he needs. He goes to rehab, gets sober, and puts the pieces of his life back together. With Elyse being established as such a protective, mother-hen type older sister, she keeps in contact and supports him. Eventually, the Keatons are able to get to a place of moving forward and starting a new chapter with Uncle Ned.

I'd really hope that Alex would be able to deal with what happened--talk things through with his parents and eventually Uncle Ned--and forgive Ned. It's clear that they have a special bond, and it's sad to think of Alex losing that. If Uncle Ned truly works on himself and changes, I think Alex would be able to forgive his uncle. In fact, I think Ned might have a harder time forgiving himself for what he'd done than Alex would have forgiving him.

Still, the whole event could end up being added to Alex's Trauma Pile, even if things work out. Having your favorite uncle in the whole world hit you so hard in a drunken rage that you go flying halfway across the room is not exactly something you just easily move on from. And our guy Alex already has a really hard time processing his emotions and tends to latch onto/obsess over things, so he'd probably need some help to work through that. Maybe he talked it over with his therapist at some point during "A, My Name is Alex."

PLEASE TALK ABOUT THE ATTACHMENT STYLE OF THERE RELATIONSHIP PLEASE 🥺

I think one of my favorite parts of Layla and Marc's relationship is the way attachment theory plays into it, from the very second they meet until where they are now. So I'm gonna try and answer this with the least amount of gushing possible for the sake of word count, and try to squeeze two mini character studies into one post 🥺🥺

I went into it a little bit in this post where I talked about the impact and significance of physcial intimacy in their relationship, but I'm aware it was more focused on Marc's attachment style. So here, I'm gonna start with Layla's, which is the trickier one.

The difficult part about characterizating Layla's style is that I'm going off of a lot of subtext, implications and patterns in behaviors that can be perceived differently. Attachment styles are mostly developed through the relationships we have with our earliest caregivers, and we don't get a whole lot on Layla's parents. (From what little we've seen, she clearly holds her father, her attachment figure, in a high and healthy regard, indicating the type of relationship they had--full of love and respect, where she admired him when he was around, always visiting dig sites with him and following in his footsteps, and grieved him after he died.) But I believe theres still enough to go off of to theorize about it, which makes me think Layla shows a lot of signs of having a relatively secure attachment style. (However, I'll get into how she doesn't perfectly exemplify this in a sec.)

People with this style tend to find intimacy easily, are confident in relying on people and being relied on, are capable of assessing conflict with clarity when it comes to who's at fault, see the world as well-intentioned and are very trusting.

Not long after they meet does Layla recognize and understand that Marc and Steven are separte people. She sees them as individuals, one whom she feel in love with and married and the other she just met, but she still manages to become close with Steven pretty easily. ("We want what we never had","Being honesty", etc.)

She shows confidence in relying on people and being relied on through the connections she has from recovering antiques. (Lagaro, Bek, Mogart, etc.) She's also not afraid to break said connections should she need to. ("Not worried you might've burned too many bridges? All those stolen relics and cheeky antiques?", "Why? Because my name pisses off a few people in Cairo?" etc.)

Not once did she ever put blame on anyone during conflict. Does she get frustrated, yeah, but it's not nonsensical and it's not violent. She seems to have a very level head when approaching hard topics (huge indicator of a healthy upbringing), has very genuine intentions and is very conscious of her actions. ("It's all right. Okay. We'll just find another way", "You could've told me. You know? [...] We could've handled it together", etc.)

Now, I don't think she perfectly embodies this attachment style, mainly because attachment styles can change and be relearned over time. It's nice to think because she had a loving home to grow up in that she's forever protected from ever getting a hard shell, but life unfortunately had other plans for her.

One of her biggest traumas that we know of is her father's murder. And it skewed a few things, including her security in attachments, specifically in her perspective and trust in others. I believe she viewed the world with a good amount of optimism and trust before he died. And after she lost him, she spent 10 years not knowing what happened, which only served to exacerbate the pain and bitterness she felt. ("It's a hard thing, exhuming the pain of the past. Easy to get stuck. Fixate on what's hurt us." "Great. Then I won't do either." "Like you aren't already", etc.)

(A personal hc of mine that we don't really have any on-screen evidence for but still seems conceivable is her struggling with her sense of blame as well. Realizing that someone you love has been going through so much silent suffering for so long, under your watch no less, is an immensly devastating thing. I can't help but see Layla naturally wondering if she'd missed something, inadvertently putting blame on herself to compensate for not having seen it sooner, let alone done something about it.)

Alright. Now Marc's.

Marc has a fearful-avoidant attachment style. This style is extremely insecure and can mostly be diluted down to a desire for closeness that clashes with a fear of it. It's developed through early exposure to inconsistent and contrasting behaviors from the caregiver. Wendy was one of Marc's attachment figures and because she was both the source of safety and fear, it taught Marc that closeness comes with abuse.

This style includes withdrawing from relationships when things aren't going well, negative self-perception and perception of others, essentially high anxiety and high avoidance.

We see Marc pull away from Layla once his disorder becomes harder to hide. ("You sent these papers but you never signed them", "That's not really what I do, is it? Never really been able to just talk about everything" etc.) Because to him, his mental illness is riddled with shame and even disgust, and his instinct tells him that if he lets it show, he will be rejected. If he opens up about it even to his wife, someone who's proven to care very deeply for him, she'll leave him. Not only unaccepted but actively abandoned and hurt because of it.

His unhealthy self-perception runs so deep and for so long. Even a general routine of negative self-talk can do so much damage and this man has years of it under his belt. ("But I didn't die that night. And I should have", "Look, I wish I could just disappear. I really do", "Because we're insane. We're insane", etc.)

Now when you think about their individual styles in regards to their relationship, it sorta ties into the themes of the show, which is that love endures. It perseveres. It hides but grows and sometimes bursts. Not being able to protect somebody does not diminish your love for them. Layla's trust becomes a bit tainted, and becomes more insecure because of it, but everyday, she still chooses to practice patience and compassion with Marc. Still chooses to embrace him, all the pieces of him, even the ones not ready for anyone's eyes yet. And Marc still struggles to stay sometimes, has days where he still wants to just disappear, but he makes the choice too. Because having choices means free will, claiming agency and having the space to change. And he's beginning to believe in redemption again.

Late, but: On Stolen Time for the director's commentary meme

The first spark for "On Stolen Time" came to me while I was reflecting on the importance of autonomy to my understanding of Cassian and Melshi's relationship. On the most basic level, I think of them as two people who helped each other get free, and it makes sense to me that that would be the foundation for all their subsequent interactions. And then I had the thought: how awful would it be if the first time they fucked, it happened under circumstances where complete and unfettered consent was impossible?

And thus, my first sex-pollen fic was spawned. Spored. Manufactured in a nefarious Imperial lab.

Some things that I discovered and enjoyed:

The first idea I had for the fic was that Cassian and Melshi would have a wee fight over whether they were going to fuck the pollen out, because Cassian would obviously be focused on saving Melshi's life, and it would take a while for Melshi to admit/explain that he was more afraid of breaking something about what Cassian meant to him than he was of dying. I imagine that Melshi, like many other Rebels, would come to see his own death as a near-inevitability at a certain point, and that one of the things that makes that deal feel worth it is that he gets to keep fighting beside Cassian. So it might be more painful for him to imagine having to live with knowing that he'd fucked up the freest thing in his life than it would be to imagine dying.

Of course Cassian is not having that at all, and I imagine that both he and Melshi know that he's using his powers of manipulation (carefully, but definitely using them) as he chooses which arguments to make in order to convince Melshi he wants him (which is both true and also a point he needs to win to keep Melshi alive). Thus Melshi's, “You can be a real bastard, you know that?”: I think Melshi is still not totally convinced this isn't going to end the way he fears, but he has to let Cassian make the choice to try to save him for the same reasons he originally resisted that solution.

"Cassian runs cold" has been a hc of mine for explaining his preference for unseasonably large and numerous jackets (the way he's never quite adjusted to cooler climates), and I liked incorporating that here into a scenario where Melshi would be running even hotter than usual - in a way that's both a sign of the danger and an edge on the pleasure. (Also, as you have pointed out to me, I have a Thing for Melshi putting his hand on the small of Cassian's back. <3)

This was my first time focalizing narration through Cassian, and that was probably the hardest part of writing the story for me. Writing Cassian from the outside, there's a lot to play with in terms of how another character reads (or fails to read) the shifts and slips in his expressions, movements, voice, words. From the inside, one of the challenges for me is deciding how many layers of that performance Cassian is aware of himself: what would register consciously enough for it to show up in interior narration, and what is he looking away from so determinedly that it's only going to emerge indirectly - through displacement or silence or projection - even when we have access to his interiority? One of the ways I tried to play with that in this story is in the tension he experiences during sex among: (1) staying focused on his mission objective (to get Melshi off so that he doesn't die), (2) becoming affected by the intimacy of fucking someone he cares about (which ends up being a more overpowering factor than Cassian expected), and (3) experiencing a deep, low-level guilt about what happened to Melshi (which he's tried so hard to set aside in order to focus on 1 that it doesn't emerge consciously until he thinks Melshi's about to die).

Playing with those tensions led to my favorite line from this fic: "so few people had ever said Cassian’s name like that - like it was a place to rest instead of the key to some other door."

There r gonna be spoilers for certain seasons in this-

So Basically for hcs with a reader that is viewed as a lil sib to ninjas.

You will definitely be treated like a child/baby.

This is just assuming you're one of the youngest in the ninja group, (including Lloyd), or you're a bit childish, whatever it would take for the ninja to view you as a younger sib.

Most likely, you're very close with them, or at least most of them, and know lots about them, and they know lots about you!

That being said....

There most definitely will be light hearted teasing/joking about you being 'the youngest' of the group no matter your age, and that may be annoying at times.

If you dislike the teasing/jokes though, they'll (tro to) stop.

So, into the ninjas relationships with you.(Lloyd, Kai, Cole, Zane, and Jay, including Nya)

Zane

Personally a fav of mine, Zane is really the guy to go to when you need help in the brains department.

He's also an excellent cook, who'd be willing to give the youngest sib something to eat whenever you're hungry.

I see Zane as the one who's although not the best at understanding emotion, will try to comfort you if you get upset or annoyed by one of your other brothers/sister, or are just having a bad day in general.

"...you got that from Master Wu, right?"

"Yes, I did. Did it make you feel better?"

For more fluff stuff, Jay and you will probably compete against each other along with the other ninja, or maybe he's just gonna pester ya while you're doing something.

For the whole when he gets the hots for Nya, Jay may or may not ask for dating advice. Depending on how your love life is n stuff.

Now according to generic protection, Jay will try n seem a bit tough, beat up the evil with his nunchucks, y'know?

Keep the youngest safe (not that it really matters how old you are, you're gonna be the youngest to the master of lightning-)

Cole

Now, I feel you'd get along best if your element had something to do with earth, or you're just a nature enjoyer in general.

But for the general subjects.

Personally, I'm able to imagine Cole as like, the older brother who didn't realize what was going on, though that role may fit Kai or Lloyd better.

He and you may have disputes at times, along with Jay, but y'all get along in general.

And while I didn't really talk about this in the Jay section, when the time comes to where they're arguing over Nya, you could just be a lil sneaky and tell Nya legit all about their arguments over her as a youngest sibling would,

Or you could ignite the arguments a lil more, or who knows??

It's really up to you-

During battle, Cole will act similar to Jay, tryna show off some, but he may check on you a bit more often, quick glances to make sure you haven't run off to fight an enemy in Narnia or some bullsh-

Kai

Ima just jump to the protection start bc I've got more ideas for this fiery boi-

Seeing as Kai's lil sis, Nya, is also in the group, he'd probably be the most protective out of them all.

While all the Ninja care about you, Kai's the one who actually has experience with his lil sis Nya, and likely knows the best ways to make sure you don't get yourself into trouble.

Tbh, he'd probably treat you the same way he treats Nya.

Telling you to 'stay back so you don't get hurt', or to just don't do stuff that'll get you hurt, making sure you're alright, getting defensive over you when the others start arguments, etc.

It does NOT matter what role you play or how good/bad you are in battle, Kai's gonna treat you like his bio lil sib

Well, i suppose that would depend on how long he'd known you, but, stillll

That would actually prob be the main reason he argues with you.

Despite wanting you to be safe, along with Nya, Kai still has that fiery personality of his, to match with his element.

But for general, Kai can be a fun guy to be around!

Kai would like it if you got along with Nya too.

Not only would he get an additional lil sib, said sib gets along with his bio sib! Win-Win!

Lloyd

Ok so

This one is the youngest if we ignore the part where you're seen as the youngest sib/are the youngest.

Since he never actually 'grew up', and had to deal with some sorta potion that deals with ages(it's froma certain episode I don't exactly remember) I feel Lloyd would be more... Eh, awkward.

Assuming you were with the ninja from the beginning, Lloyd joined in later on, and it'd probably feel weird to him seeing he can now refer to you as 'lil sib'.

Maybe you'd be the one that got him back into mischief making.

Not too far to the point where y'all end up summoning even more legendary tribes, but harmless pranks and such.

Or you'd be able to help him adjust to life as a grownup! Who knows?

Lloyd, I feel would be one who tries to deal with things more... Idk, his way.

When protecting you, the amount of power that goes into his attacks depends on the level of danger, but the main priority is to keep everyone safe, which includes you.

Seeing as the ninja often made him stay behind on missions when he was still a kid, I think Lloyd would sympathize more with you on the whole having to stay behind bc "mission to dangerous for lil sib" thing.

Nya

This gonna be a lil shorter-

Will sympathize with you as well in the whole having to stay behind missions thing.

(Og Ninjago fans will remember what she did in s1 during that whole samurai thing)

During that time period, she'll maybe help you w your own contraption so that you can do missions as well.

And then when he was in his like 20s-30s I formed and everything went downnnnhilllll HWHSJDJDJFFJ. Once he joined the RCM Esprit formed & then ????????? and after The Incident, Shivers showed up. Anyone not listed here we have zero clue on when exactly they formed 👍

HOWEVER ASIDE FROM HARRY WE ALSO HC EVERYONE IN DE AS PLURAL IN SOME WAU IM SURE I BROUGHT THIS UP WHEN WE ANSWERED THIS SAME QUESTION LAST IDR. but yeah anyways. And then Reaction Speed kinda has xir own room too it manifests as the inside of a tent? It's tiny. but cozy? OUTSIDE OF THAT THOUGH WE HAVE A TONNNNN OF LAYERS & ALL FHJSJF the main layer is currently an open field w some trees & flowers on a hill. A lil ways in front of the tree is The Cave™ that holds The Fog™ [partial mix of The Pale?? but also The Fog is our own brain-made TMA-adjacent Entity. It's the embodiment of our brainfog & all. We have 2 Fog avatars one is Trant and the other FUCKING DIED I THINK BC THE FOG GOT HIS ASS???!! ithink he's still in the cave actually? Idk he existed for less than a week before disappearing!!!! UHHHH A BIT FARTHER from the Cave is a lil cabin that belongs to Harry & Kim. And a small walk down the hill the cabin is on is The Manor™ and the Septic Household™. Both groups that those houses belong to are currently dormant rn but The Manor is still Very Much Alive Apparently so we uh. Try to. Upkeep her. So she doesn't try. to kill us <3. [I Jest i don't think she can do anything. Idk. But Dark said to not leave her alone Lest Shit Happens and i DON'T know if they were fucking with us. dhajsjfjfjfjf]

Anddddddd. Above our main layer we have,,,, uhhh. The Outskirts? Which is the layer one of our overseers, Mischief, lives in. It's like.,,, a buncha pink & purple clouds u can walk on it's pretty. above that is The Outer Nothing which is where Infīnītus & our other Hierarchy members live. The Outer Nothing is uhhh. Nothingness? Space? Void? something like that?? Idk nobody can visit it unless they're apsrt of the Hierarchy and those fucks don't front unless it's ab emergency and nooobodyyyyyy in the roster rn is anywhere NEARRRR being eligible to Join The Hierarchy I think???? so. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯! he can't fall asleep unless he's cuddling me at night, even if it's just his hand on my waist, he needs to be touching me to feel comfy enough to sleep. if i stir in my sleep at all or wake up in the middle of the night, it's like he has a sixth sense and he'll wake up with a dazed little "everything okay? need something? i'm here for you" through suuuper cute tired mumbles

my main ship !! as bitter and curt as he is, he's actually a little bit of a softie underneath >_< his love language is def acts of service too, but he won't admit it [he doesn't believe in the whole love languages thing]. if i want a hug or affection, he'll always resist at first but he eventually caves in when i grab onto him ehe.

but if he ever finds me crying or when something really goes wrong, he taps into a super protective side and immediately asks me "did someone do this to you?" he gets so mad for my sake, he truly cares deeply but he doesn't let it show in conventional, normal ways

muzan isn't really a fan of affectionate terms or pet names, most of the time his pet names/affectionate terms are just some form of "you're mine". vv possessive and protective man, the type to grab me and hold me tight when he sees anyone looking my way in public. i'll always jokingly call him "mumu" and he always looks at me in disgust, but after a while he just started to accept it >_<

phinks' love language is absolutely quality time, sometimes physical touch too !! he loves going out on dates and taking me out to show me off >_< he's always teasing and poking fun at me, the banter is NEVER ENDING - it's never ever boring with him, he's always making elaborate surprise plans and keeping me busy

he's also super protective and he can be aggressive sometimes, but deep down he's just a super soft guy !! he's a big fan of playing video games with me, his favorite is just dance on those old ass wii consoles. he stumbles around and gets WAYYY too into it, such a cute little loser

hakari's love language is physical touch 100%, he's always got his hands on me or his arm around my waist. it's like he can't go over an hour without touching me >_<

he can be protective, but at the same time.. he's so confident in himself and our relationship that he just lets me go out and have fun as much as i want. he doesn't see other people as a threat 'cause he's just so rightfully cocky about himself

like phinks, he also really likes calling me "pretty thing" or just "baby", and he lovesss loves cuddling so much. he's always got his hands on me at night or when we're just watching tv. he'll look at me with a cute little grin on his face as he watches my reactions. i call him "kinny" a lot, which he loves >_<

Pervious annon! That was me! I worked things out with my bf and I was going through a bit of an episode but I took your advice and we talked and worked things out. And for the formating, I am always watching the r/reddit stories on tik tok so many subconsciously i formating my writing that way bc I've seen it be put that way so many times before. Idk

And me and that friend have talked and they are always putting down a lot of boundaries, which isn't a bad thing but they feel very limiting, like for one, I can't talk about a Characters death or make light hearted jokes because that is also their favorite character. I respect the boundary and I don't continue it after but it feels like I have to really think about what topic I wanna talk about next.

What bothers me most is that, they seem really happier with their others friends on tumblr and in the clips I see. I write stuff on tumblr and I made a post a few days ago about my head cannons for a certain show and they reposted it with text added that seemed very very aggressive, I made my own hcs for a character they liked interacting with another and they like shoved their hcs into mine in a very aggressive manner and I did not particularly like that. But I know that's their favorite character so I didn't say anything.

And anytime we've gotten into spats over like, let's say a game, they come off very aggressive so of course I get defensive back and I'm fast with my responses and they throw that in my face back saying that is the reason why they got even more defensive

I don't know what to do and I've felt this before in other friendships but it really feels like I am the problem

Okay that makes more sense. It genuinely reads like a r/relationshipadvice post because,,, I spend a lot of time on reddit unfortunately lol. If this exact post was there I probably saw it - it just felt familiar. Anyways, I don't know I feel you're being way too harsh on yourself knowing all of this too. This person doesn't sound like they're willing to compromise AT ALL. There's putting down boundaries, and then there's being a total dick and controlling. Can't make lighthearted jokes about a character because it's their favorite? Sure, but also,,,, dude it's a character. I personally wouldn't be able to function if I couldn't poke fun of characters, my own favorites included! They could always let you know when the joking mood is too much, but to outright bar you seems - and I hate to say it this way - sensitive.

It's like they've covered themselves in bubble wrap and can't stand that they're most likely going to get popped at some point - as that's what bubble wrap does. I really do feel like you should either try talking to them again about your own boundaries, what you're okat with and what you're not because they seem to be crossing lines with you like crazy. You're clearly not happy or okay with it, why are they allowed to trample on your feelings? You don't have to protect people who are actively hurting you, regardless if they get pissy about it or not. I feel like they have a lot of growing up to do, because as I see it, it's their way or the highway and anyone who doesn't subscribe to their ideas is wrong.

That's not healthy for you. You're putting so much in the relationship and they're treating you this way, treating your opinions as lesser, walking on eggshells just to keep them placated. Headcanons are also HEADCANONS. Do you know how often I see headcanons I don't like AT ALL? I never feel the need to comment because that writer is allowed to believe whatever they want!! That's the fun thing about writing and universe building, we can all create our own stuff! Some people view Slender as a happy family man and that's 200% okay! I view him as a dick, also 200% okay! Your writing, the things you want to say, that's valid to you. It's a shitty thing that they added on so aggressively just because your viewpoints don't line up.

From what I see here, there's no way that you're the problem.
