Keep thinking of Rosie allowing everyone else to experience the trauma of war around him in any way they need to. Whether it be after listening to his crew member choke through the Munster story, reaching a hand out to comfort him, making sure the replacements are all settled and feel comfortable with him - establishing that he's someone who can be trusted with any issues - and listening to Crosby tell him he's scared he's becoming a monster and reassuring him, and yet refuses to give himself the same grace.

Thinking about how he doesn't tell Crosby about what he saw after he was shot down, what he witnessed in that camp. He's never really the one telling any stories in the series. He listens and watches, lets others say whatever they need to, all the while keeping his cards close to his chest.

Thinking about Rosie smiling while watching his crew and the other airmen enjoying themselves at the flak house, and yet not allowing himself the same enjoyment. Thinking about how the doctor at the flak house got Rosie to look after himself only when he framed it that looking after himself is looking after his crew.

Thinking about Rosie re-upping, choking slightly on his words as he explains he can't bare the thought of sending some rookie in his place to only get himself and his crew killed.

He won't give himself the grace or patience he deserves, but by god he'll take care of everyone around him.

I think Mountain likes to make Epsom salt concoctions for all of his packmates, and especially ones with chronic pain.

He likes to mix and test and create on a good day, splicing flowers and plants together and seeing what effects he can create. He just loves botany and what he can get his element to give him, so it makes sense that making bath salts would be so fun for him.

Working out formulas for everyone's specific needs is so enjoyable too; be it migraines, anxiety, aches and pains, relaxation. He just thrives in the throws of *creation* and also problem solving. The fact that it will end up helping his packmates is a huge bonus too. The sparkling eyes and bright smiles he gets from them when he pulls the perfectly packaged salts from behind his back--with self made paper bags and labels to boot, Mountain doesn't do handmade gifts by halves--makes the long hours it takes to get the recipe just right for their needs worth it.

He always asks for a report back on how this batch works, and if there's anything he can do to improve it. The other Ghouls don't tell him, but he gets so cute like this, genuinely eager to provide but also improve. Really the mixes are all perfect already, but the wide forest green eyes and not-so-subtly wagging tail behind the giant is enough for them to tell a little fib and come up with something arbitrary, but will make Mountain double his efforts.

He loves his pack, he loves his element, and he dives straight back to work so that the next batch is all ready to just as soon as this one runs out.

The funny thing is, Peach canonically hasn't met any other humans before the bros, so she's probably very used to dainty little tea sets but would be fascinated and charmed by anything different. Thank you! While there are definitely traditional coffee mugs in The Mushroom Kingdom, they are toad-sized, so they're probably still dainty little tea cups to Peach.

I do like to imagine that novelty-mugs with silly slogans on them are a more distinctly human thing.

Imagine the bros getting Princess Peach a custom pink mug with a "P" emblem on it to match their red and green mugs though. (They already offered to get Toad one, but he has a blue tin mug that he's used since day 1 of adventuring that he's super attached to.)

Someone mentioned Steve having wings and hiding them and I know that wouldn’t work BUT what if Steve was born with wings and the Harrington’s had them cut off when he was a baby, so Steve learns a lot about it and is obviously in love with Eddie and he takes care of Eddie’s wings and it’s like,, therapeutic for him since he’ll never be able to take care of his own

that would be barbaric and honestly i think he'd be taken away from his parents the second someone sees him without a shirt, to cut a persons wings off would probably eventually drive them insane, as they'd have the flight instinct but be unable to do it.

would be like a bird constantly trapped in a cage. a bird has to be given the option for free flight or they go nuts.

an tbh, i think the Harringtons would THRIVE on the prestige that'd come from their child having wings, it's not a bad thing to have them, kids are just. mean. when something is uncommon and different to their norm, but the Harringtons, if he did have wings? Forcing General!Lilia to finally take care of himself after a very busy day. Helping him take his armor and uniform off, as he breaths a sigh of relief, since he finally feels free.....

Leading him to a steaming bathtub, helping him undress and get in the water. By this point he's still complaining of not needing all of this, but those complaints die down as soon as you gently touch his chest with a washing cloth, wiping away the dirt, sweat and frustration as he starts to relax and enjoy the feeling of being taken care of....

Washing his hair and massaging his scalp will cause him to purr. He hardly does it, as he never really feels safe enough to be this relaxed, always having the protection of those close to him in mind.

As the water starts to get cooler, helping him out and letting him dry himself off, while getting some fresh, comfortable clothes.

Leading him towards the bed, sitting him down to comb and braid his hair, before pulling him under the covers to cuddle and hold each other. Giving him soft kisses, as he tries to pull you even closer, even though that's not possible, while rubbing his nose against yours.

He is thankful for all of it, even if he can't express it right now. But he makes a mental note to cook something for the both of you. Good luck with that.
