Okay. Fact time.

OS never cared about Buddie.

All he cared about was him getting importance over everyone else.

Its evident from all his interviews till s6. And now, that fact is just getting justified further.

Guy says he always played Buck as bi. But the fact is, he didn't.

That bi possibility ONLY came out when he was with Eddie & maybe TK. Not with any other man. AND OS was over the moon for mortalia being "THE couch" 🤢🤮 which completely eliminates the viability of his claim that he ALWAYS wanted Buck's sexuality explored.

Guy says the people who don't like Tommy & this plot are people who doesn't know how a story works.

And he does!? Because if he did, he wouldn't just dismiss the loyalty of one of the biggest fandoms after Destiel that kept the show in the forefront of social media all these years. If it was 1 person thinking so, it can be a mistake. There's LITERALLY tens of thousands of fans who have found Buddie on the show. Even when they had no idea about the ship before watching the show & realizing "wait....are they a thing!!??" out of the blue.

No wonder there are a lot of Buddie shippers who are hurt by his attitude, quitting the show. Not because they're h*moph*bic. But because he's been dismissing them & all the subtext that the show has thrown at them all these years without an inch of shame of taking advantage of it for all that time.

If he's so arrogant enough to think he alone can run the show, it won't be long until that ship sinks. Especially when the arrogance is directed to fans, the people who LITERALLY pay his bills, because if we don't watch his work, he'd be jobless.

People have been desperately grasping at straws with all the interviews he's been giving..."he knows something", "of course he can't straight up say he wants buddie... common", "that was a very good way of answering the question" etc etc.

Guess what... it WASN'T the best way to answer SUCH AN IMPORTANT question.

Of course he could say what he wanted. It wasn't like the interviewer asked what was going to happen.

I have always thought his quick answer of "I'm open to it" is SO ODD. Because THAT is not how someone who wants it will talk about it. I have felt it from the beginning. The first Ryliver live. That itself had sealed the deal that ALTHOUGH people desperately WANT Ryan to be the one OPPOSING Buddie (because that's the ONLY way that their h*te towards him will be justified), Ryan was the one who chose the ship name & talked about how Buddie is getting shipped every second. OS kept mum even then. His expressions & body language changed. As if he isn't so into it.

THAT has been going on every damn time Buddie was mentioned in interviews. As if he's not so keen to do it.

Let me say...his body language screams he didn't want to do the Timmy Turner kiss too. He's uncomfortable af. If you remove your "OMG OS is amazing" glasses off & view it as a critic, you'll get it in a second. He just seems to be in it because, again, his character is getting importance.

Among the 911 cast, there's no one MORE concerned about THEIR position, THEIR role, THEIR screen time etc as much as OS does. He'd promote the hell out of the lamest things if it meant he'll get attention . That's what happened in s6. Taking unethical advantage of the fandom's couch theory & promoting the mortalia track like a giddy kid & being over enthusiastic about "in another life"....all were the cry for attention. And the fandom fell for it.

THAT is what's happening now too. Plus he's copying words from other actors to make his "story" more interesting lol.

Anyway....guy has become more arrogant than he already was.

Arrogance NEVER ends well. History has it proved.

PS: People can try grasping at straws to support the guy & put him on a pedestal because he's a tantrum king. But don't @ me on this with your straws. Won't work. I don't like arguing with blind fans because you wouldn't EVER see sense even if it is ALL SHOVED ON YOUR FACE.

Let's talk about why Blank Space by Taylor Swift is an Ian Gallagher song.

The ironic tone of the song is so important and key for this, Taylor presents herself as this serial dater that makes men fall in love with her by being exactly what they want, makes that relationship a living hell because it seems, according to the narrative that the media spreads, that she's the problem and then they leave her. She's embracing the character that the media built for her and she's doing it with irony and sarcasm, like "oh, yeah I'm so crazy I even have a list of all the men I've dated".

So keeping this in mind, let's see the connections to Ian. In my mind this song encapsulates his character from s4 to s10 but specially in s6 and s7. What do we see him doing in those two seasons? Dating men that aren't Mickey. And he tries, he tries really hard to be what they want, what they need. He even, specially in Caleb's case, tries to separate them from his family so they don't know he's not this well put together persona he's trying to be. But that's his nature, a nature that he also embraces with irony and sarcasm every time he talks about his bipolar. He keeps that tone every time he thinks or insinuates that any of those relationships could end because of that, because it seems like he's the problem, like he's the one being what everyone needs until the worst comes. Until this nature he can't stop manifests itself and the relationship ends.

He views himself as a mess, as a problem, as this fucked up thing no one can't fix because there's nothing to fix. He thinks he’s this thing that can lie and pretend to be okay, to be fine until it's not, until it breaks and it hurts you leaving you with a nasty scar. Obviously this comes from the idea that he could end up being like his mum, being destructive. He feels that being in a relationship with him is just waiting for the fatal final mess that at some point will come, you could even say he thinks he's a nightmare dressed like a daydream. He can be what you want, you can fall in love with him but the end is right there waiting. The destructive nature he thinks he has in him it's patiently waiting.

It feels like he started those relationships knowing they would end, that they would be a name on that list the song mentions and maybe the rumor would spread and "they'll tell you I'm insane". Though that line could also be a reference to the reputation that having the same mental illness as his mum builts for him.

But then, Trevor. He lets Trevor know some stuff about his family and this time it's not only him the destructive element, it's his family at least in s7. And he lets him know probably because he has seen other complicated lives because of his job, so he could understand and not judge unlike Caleb who had a very stable and normal life. So he tries, he tries to be everything Trevor needs, he listens, he nods and smiles and understands. He tries to be better and know better and tries, he tries so hard to fit in Trevor's world, in Trevor's life. But it happens again, he's just dressed as a daydream because he wants to be loved so bad that he would be anything for that, he would be that boy for a month. But once again, never forgetting the irony and sarcasm of it all, the worst is yet to come. And of course, everything ends but Trevor couldn't say he didn't warn him. Ian told him about his mum, about his bipolar so he should've seen it coming, right?

Turns out boys don’t want love if it’s torture even if that's what he has seen in his parents, even if he has seen destruction being part of love. But he will take those relationships way too far, because he's young and reckless and will watch them end knowing it was gonna happen, knowing everyone knew it would because this is what he does, this is what that nature he understands as his, does.

This is why Blank Space is an Ian Gallagher song, because in an ironical and sarcastic way, he embraces the idea of him being the problem, the reason why his relationships don't work.

I really do believe that Dennis has a deep, relentless feeling that if he ever pursued a relationship with Mac- he'd get hurt. I suspect this is because in s6 after it's implied that they've slept together in the bar after Maureen kicks them out, later there is an exchange in Who Got Dee Pregnant? where, when Dennis is pissed at Mac for changing his costume last minute, the subtext seems to imply that (after sleeping together) Dennis wanted to do something TOGETHER (be in a relationship) but Mac wasn't ready for that level of commitment (so he changed their plans for matching costumes) and Dennis was deeply hurt by that.

And so of course Dennis never got over that rejection (cuz when does he ever), so even now that Mac is clearly VERY interested- Dennis instinctively pushes him away because his internal philosophy (courtesy of The Gang Gives Back) is: to hurt the other guy worse or as bad as he's hurt you. Which... he does, a lot, after Mac comes out by joining in on jokes made at his expense and being cruel (see: The Gang Texts). But in The Gang Texts it's also made clear through the blocking and framing of the scene between Mac and Dennis in the men's bathroom, that Mac and Dennis have sort of swapped places- Mac is out of the closet, but Dennis is still VERY deep inside of the closet (cat in the wall metaphor, helloooo!).

So, even though Dennis feels the same way he isn't going to just "give in" that easily. Because he's so used to every interpersonal relationship being a game, or a power exchange, and he can't seem to really realize that Mac does love him. This is not helped by the fact that Mac, in his texts to Dennis, says I love you so much but then follows that up with "but not in a gay way... even though I am gay" and that, again, just reminds Dennis of the rejection he's already gotten from Mac in the past which just makes him angrier.

But Dennis clearly still WANTS Mac to love him... In fact, it feels like he is waiting for Mac to make the first move. But he wants it to be honest, hence telling Mac in Gets Romantic "speak from the heart, sweep him off his feet."

This is why, I believe Dennis never fell out of love with Mac- but he is constantly frustrated with himself FOR being in love with Mac still, despite everything. Especially because, for so long, Mac was in such deep denial about even being gay- that the possibility of them ever getting together seemed impossible to Dennis for so long... Until Hero or Hate Crime. Then, suddenly, Mac was moving way too fast for Dennis- wanting to get into a relationship or pretend to have one... So Dennis had to fully distance himself.

Because I think Dennis has grown to find some sort of solace in being consistently rejected, and it makes sense with his upbringing and especially from his relationship with Frank, that he's come to expect disappointment in his interpersonal relationships- at best, he gets surface-level approval or dismissal without any true reciprocated love and understanding. And Mac definitely has those feelings for Dennis, as established by Tends Bar, but clearly, Dennis doesn't feel like that one instance of sincerity was enough to really make any significant change. If anything, it probably scared him cuz it totally messed with his very fixed worldview that Mac (and no one really) could or would ever possibly love him (and buy him shit on Valentine's Day)...

And I remember a post about this going around from a little while ago, but I also, when watching s13, had thought that maybe the reason Dennis doesn't outwardly reciprocate Mac's feelings (even if, internally, he does) is that Dennis is convinced that Mac doesn't actually love him. He believes that Mac only desires him as a sex object, a plaything, a boy toy (ironic, innit?)... So it's not so much that Dennis is straight, actually, and doesn't return Mac's feelings. The subtext of their relationship present throughout the show since at least season 5, paints a much more complicated and deeply human story. It's ironic too because Mac just misunderstood what Dennis meant what he said when he didn't have feelings- but loves him regardless. And Dennis is convinced anyone is incapable of loving him, so he just projects that onto everyone (including Mac). Again, a deeply human story is going on here.

volume V thoughts bc once again fusebox has got me intrigued

first of all omg wtf

I usually end up reading a few spoilers before I play bc I'm bored at work but don't wanna play the volume until I get back but I had such a busy day at work I didn't do that and wow ok I gotta avoid spoilers more often I was shook

so excess baggage was okay. like yeah makes sense we want the couples to be tense again before voting the couple superlatives thing, but also such a throwaway. (and also I talked about this in my post about last volume, but we have so many challenges in a row!! why)

since my MC did initially flirt with Oakley a lot more than Jin, I do think it's funny Oakley talks about how cool MC's secret is (like it's annoying fs but also something I've seen happen on love island to create small drama but then ultimately it's just talk so it's nice to have that happen here).

Also i was worried Oakley was gonna turn on us or flirt with us and abandon Emel, so I'm very glad he was just asking for advice. (I'm a big Oakley and Emel fan, what can I say?) I'd be okay if that led into a different storyline where you could pursue Oakley later, but with how fusebox has been making the seasons lately, once you pick you've made your choice and I do miss in for example s2 where even if you don't pick Lurik when they first become available you have a chance the next recoupling and it feels like it changes your route.

Jack is still mad at MC??

Couples game was fun. I wish fusebox formatted it so you discuss with your partner and then make a choice before everyone revealed their answers instead of people talking and explaining before the player picks their answer. Like we know the characters already, just let me pick and we can see who agrees.

Oakley's evening wear outfit 😍 best dressed boy fs

I of course could never bear to see Oakley and Emel go, but I surprisingly actually missed Sophie and Jack as soon as they left but like in a me missing Allegra and Miles/Jasper when they left. Like yeah they were irritating but they brought drama and I understand where Allegra/Sophie is coming from (and I support women's wrongs lol)

Jin going through his main character of S6 arc??? No but fr I can't imagine why the public would vote him out so he's either hiding something that's gonna come out when he gets back or he was voted most popular and is gonna come back soon. I hope it's not casa because (1) that already happened in s6 and (2) I want the chance to flirt around with new characters in casa lol. I've seen a few theories around and I have no idea which is true but if I could throw in another idea which is post casa, MC is finally with a bombshell, Claudia/Theo, or a casa boy and things seem good but Jin and Luna show up together as returning islanders and MC has to choose between Jin and her current LI.

It's so interesting for drama, like ik I'm here for it. But a lot of people like loyal routes so I hope yall are doing okay

I was like half hoping we could walk out with him even though of course fusebox isn't giving us that option but like I wish he said something like hey you just got here, enjoy your time at the Villa and I'll wait out there for you no matter what happens. just to explain why MC wouldn't leave. that being said, their goodbye was so sweet.

One thing that's different in the game than the show is the number of islanders present at once, which makes sense its hard to keep track of all of them (though they've done it before in s2), and it just is weird bc now the people in the Villa are MC (single), Claudia and Theo (who don't like each other), and Emel and Oakley (only one couple).

despite my complaint about the challenge thing this is great pacing/timing for a new islander. it's just a shame the screwed over Tyler coming in so soon after MC. I can't remember if I already wrote this in my last post but I almost wish he came in with MC and got a better chance.

"Ummm..." "Look, I figure it's 50/50 she says yes. I'm not looking for anything serious, I figure she's not either. But... do you still have feelings for her?" Eric sighs. "Of course I do. But I royally fucked things up. And I don't think she'd ever consider getting back together with me, so who am I to stop her from exploring other options?" Robert still seems a bit nervous. "You sure? The last thing I want is to make things weird between us." "I mean, I don't expect her to be celibate. And you're allowed to have fun after Cameron. Eric feels his heart drop into his stomach when he watches Remy and Robert leave work together a few nights later. **** Remy and Eric are staying late one night, trying to decipher Chris' notes again. Not as exciting as I was hoping for. If it weren't for the voyeuristic aspect, I suspect it'd feel like any other night with you." Eric rolls his eyes. "Sorry that I feel a little out of my depth with the two most sexually adventurous people I know." Remy laughs, and then kisses Eric on the cheek. "That's okay. I get to spend the night with both of you, which was the main goal." Eric smiles. "I'm glad it's been a good night for you." He glances towards Robert. "For both of you." A flash of concern crosses Robert's face. "Are you not enjoying yourself?" Eric appears shocked by the ask. "I never said I wasn’t." Robert eyes him skeptically. “You’re still nervous, aren’t you?”

Eric just stares back at him, not saying anything. Robert shakes his head. “I think you’re still overthinking this. And I have an idea that may help.”

Robert leans over Remy, and gently cups Eric’s face, kissing him. It’s over quickly, and Robert smirks as he asks, “That wasn’t so bad, was it?” Eric seems a little dazed, and pulls Robert in for another kiss, this one more passionate. Once the kiss ends, Eric responds, “No, this is perfect.”

Good morning Alice! I was gonna wait to send this till after the finale, but then said duck it I'm not predicting anything. I'm just curious about your feelings.

So I always felt like if the network was to cowardly to make Buddie Canon it would only end 2 ways, them maybe dating women or just ambiguity single as a family. Basically I never expected to see an actual fleshed out love story written for either.

And well, S1 Buck is single, S2 Shannon is dead, Ali leaves, and we get good montage hug, S3 single and great party montage. OK S4, if that was the series finale we got Buddie walking into a party, Buck not fullying entering, Eddie uncomfortable and the will reveal. As shippers, we would have never bought it. The general audience would have just shrugged. Again, they weren't left in love with women but did leave with a crazy strong bond. S5 single, and now we approach S6. I have no clue what will happen with Marisol and Natalia, but I think we can all guess it would resemble the S4 ending if anything. So again, if they were unsure about renewing and left it open-ended, the GA would shrug, and we would be like "well then here is what really happened".

So I watched that Love in the Air montage like it was approaching a series finale and felt exactly like I thought I would. I was laughing at how vapid these relationships look on Buddie vs the others. 911 love stories are built on adversity. Couples that don't get a lot of representation because maybe some don't think they are sexy enough. That's what makes me love them is how strong their foundations are. They are not built on meet cutes, you know. You can't write a love story for these 2 that approaches touching the bonds and experiences they have already experienced together. I will use the word again. it seems almost vapid!

So no clue what will happen in the finale with these girls. My gut instinct is not a lot of focus. But I'm already excited to move to ABC, where I think they will actually be invested in.

I agree with you, if Buddie doesn't go canon, the show would never be able to develop a fully fleshed out and satisfying love story with any other Love Interest, so the show would either use really lame LIs (where it's easy to see that they'd go in the way of Ana and Taylor a short while after the cut off point of the show's finale) or Buddie would be chronically single (and each other's life partners). I admit, I prefer the latter. The former just means a break up to get to the latter, and then in both cases I'd just headcanon that Buddie finally had a feelings realization and confession, getting together at some point in the future that we don't get to see. It's inevitable with their love story.

But without a doubt, when we know that the whole (or at least majority of the) finale is the one call during which the 118 will be going down, that means there won't be much room to develop anything with either Natalia or Marisol. And I feel like that's exactly how 4a left off with Ana, and 4b did the same with Taylor. They exist, something has started there, but it's built on such shaky ground (they really did give us less than nothing for why Marisol or Natalia would work out with Eddie and Buck), we KNOW that this ground would collapse under these new LIs after a short while.

I do think the move to ABC has a lot of potential. I'm thinking ABC bought the show from Fox knowing that things are a bit rocky, so they KNOW they need to bring in more viewers, and I'm sure they understand that letting Buddie go canon has the potential to do just that, make TV history, create buzz and bring in more viewers.

On a personal note, I'm just still blown away that my HMO actually approved this treatment, but it's gonna take another week (exactly) until I get my first treatment. Which sucks, I have to cancel guiding students from Harvard in order to make this appointment, but yeah. Health before anything else, right? If I kept the Harvard tour, the next appointment is mid June.

I don't trust the Ministry in the first place, I felt their incompetence keenly during Mel's route they left dealing with the chaos caused by the villain to just Liz and Mel, while they were in charge of arresting the incapacitated villain who had already lost the will to fight! she was not even a Prefect but just a provisional student at that time!

I'll guess Zeus, immediately protests, saying like "What?! The leader should be someone like me!!" or something Hiro, makes a singular strike, just staring into space with that office worker face again Al and Cae, watches Klaus and Zeus arguing Remb, stops them

Anyway, Klaus announced that the investigation plan would begin when everyone gathered at the library after school tomorrow, and declared to disperse.

The flight went... idk we landed safely so i guess i cant complain LMAO. Im so so happy everyone seems super hyped for the HOTGUY COMICS Zine!!!! Ive been working hard to keep it running smoothly and my fellow mods have been doing some absolutely INSANE work, especially on the various graphics. Somehow our team ended up with three graphic designers in three different directions and then me as the one writer/editor SKDBSKNDKSD so we've got a ton of our bases just automatically covered. Its been a lot of fun to mod so far and i cant wait to see who else applies!!!!

OOF sounds like the plane ride home wasnt quite so pleasant as the first one there 😭😭😭 glad it went safely though!!! Oughhh and that sounds so brutal with the summer, too-- VERY different from ice storms 😂😂😂😂 we were fine luckily, heating and everything stayed perfectly intact the entire time, and the temp has started rising again so the ice is melting, which is great bc i need to order groceries LMFAOOOOO

Some things about that ending: Did Gabriel give up his life for Nathalie's instead of Emilie and it was Amelie who was in the pool? Just like in Dungeons and Dragons honor amongs thiefs?

On the other hand, I think Gabriel's manipulation was great, Marinette can't tell her boyfriend his father, the same father that he lost, was a villain, can she? Related to this perfection, the kiss scene was beautiful but the butterflies there and the whole frame... yes, things are going to happen.

So, This Is Us will come to an end tonight and I am sad. I am sad because instead of feeling this way because a show I loved for years is ending, I am actually feeling incredibly relieved.

I didn't enjoy this last season at all. While I imagine that, Kevin's """love life""" aside, the show is wrapping up in an emotional way, I can't believe that in a show who had the story planned all along, for 11 episodes of its FINAL SEASON almost nothing happened and the plot barley moved on, while the rest of the final episodes were full of rushed storylines.

They developed Kevin and Madison for 11 episodes only to end their story with a montage and destroy everything they built for them until that moment. They pretended that it wasn't like Kevin was about to realise his feelings for Madison just one episode before and then they magically put Kevin and his ex wife together (a basic character we know nothing about, with zero depth and not enough screen time throughout the years) completely out of the blue, even if it didn't make sense anymore for where the characters were at that moment of their life/growth.

Like, if someone had told me that, after all the hype, I should have waited for SIX SEASONS just to see Kevin end up with the same woman he had a relationship with when he was young (and it didn't work) and then AGAIN when he was 36 years old (and it didn't work 2.0), I'd would have laughed at them!

Oh, and a reminder: this is a show that it was supposed to be realistic and the writers have always been proud of that! Like, if you indeed read the interviews post ep 6x02, you'll even read that they didn't make Nicky end up with Sally because..... It would have been unrealistic!!!

And what about Kevin's character development? What about his journey in the previous seasons and him letting go of the idea of a Hollywood type of story? What about the love of my life will be my child(ren) when the twins have been basically an accessory to his storyline? What about his career? Justin was so excited talking about his S6 storyline and nothing of what he said happened because they changed everything.

Kevin's centric episode ended with him finally finding the foundation, deciding to live a fearless life and then, a couple of episodes later, we see him going back to his S1 era and dating women after women because he lost Madison (let's be honest) and only in the end he ends up with the woman (after Cassidy declined his proposal) that was conveniently available.

I won't talk about how and the stupid reasons why they ended up together because other people already discussed this enough.

Even reading the interviews after 6x14 where they were saying that their story has already been told and that there's no time to show more of that is a real joke if you think that they had 3 YEARS in advance to think about Kevin's endgame (no but seriously, imagine to not have enough time to show your main character's love story after SIX SEASONS OF HYPE!!!), but well, it's what they deserve and I really wouldn't care about it anyway.

Isn't it funny though, that despite the show is trying to imply that "it has always been Sophie", Justin actually said that he doesn't think that it had always been her and that it would have been interesting to see Kevin end up with Madison or Cassidy? Yeah Justin, we know that!

There are many more things about our beloved Pearsons that they could have shown us (slowly and more) and yet they didn't because they wasted precious time, but this is a blog about Kevin and Madison, so I will stop here.

Different anon but like. I just get obscenely frustrated at the show's amatonormativity. Felix was so excited to have a sister why can't we get sentisiblings content. Why can't we see more of Kagami outside of her relationship to the main characters/her being someone's love interest. Yes Lila was manipulating her and yes her and Luka were just revolving around Adrienette but I liked seeing her one on one with other characters. She's making friends and they're getting along!! And they're making her an LI again because they need an excuse for Argos to not be in the final battle. It's not fair to either of them. It's just off that two characters who are so strongly associated with wanting to reach out platonically are immediately paired together romantically and now they're both content. Maybe I would've liked Feligami better if it happened in S6 idk.

i'd say wait until S6 bc it was undoubtedly rushed here but it has potential and makes sense for both of them thematically and if they get more focus episodes in the future maybe it will better show why the pairing works. and again i don't think feligami is to blame for how the finale treats the sentikids, at best it was a way to distance felix from adrien so he wouldn't know anything but that's still like. a Principle of the show. if not feligami they would have definitely found another way to exclude felix from the equation bc it was ESSENTIAL for the final fight to be a ladybug/monarch 1v1 and that's the problem at the core

THAT IS IT EXACTLY!!!! 2/3 of the fic are Eddie and the readers slowly descending into madness, and Linda finding the whole thing extremely entertaining. and yes, whether they were or weren't together the whole time is left unclear, because who cares right, at until the epilogue when their one year anniversary is coming up and eddie realises he can't be sure when it is.

btw, i told myself i wouldn't do this today that id wait a few days but then i got another idea halp me the buddie mania has taken me

however, with the texas madness I got another fun working theory I’m going to call: FOOD IS THE FOOD OF LOVE! (because taking Shakespearean quotes and using them for my evil headcanon purposes gives me great pleasure)

basically, now after Texas, the floodgates are really truly open and eddie needs to cook for the ones he loves. so, does he go a little overboard, perhaps. but does he get a little over ambitious, going around and spouting his new personal motto “hey, if you can read the recipe, you can make the recipe” , maybe. look, eddie is an intense guy and if he's going to do something, he's gonna go all in. plus, you know what, when it comes to cooking, a little confidence and some trial and error go a long way and soon, he can use a pressure-cooker and a oven thermometer with the best of them.

and then christopher discovers the chocolate guy videos.

and then buck’s birthday is coming up.

and look, eddie isn’t an idiot. he knows that he isn’t anywhere near the level of skill of the chocolate guy. but it gives him an idea. it inspires him, ok. because surely, he should be able to make a birthday cake for buck from scratch. you know, as a thank you for all the times buck’s been there for him in the past year. not as a declaration of love or anything. there’s totally not a lot riding on the success of this. 

and after all, he is a firefighter, he works in extreme conditions every day of the week. how difficult can it really be to make gooey salted caramel for the filling, anyway.

okay listen thATs tHe ThING i'm SENSITIVE ABOUT. did you see that post like eddie cooking for his sisters aged 12 and then never again. god. everytime i think i'm over like five minutes of eddie content from yesterday it turns out i'm absolutely not. the tamales!!!

anyway yes. i absolutely believe eddie is a rigid recipe follower and does not trust his instincts at all. which actually makes him a better baker than cook technically, though he's getting better at both. it's maybe time to admit he's a control freak when he suddenly has thirteen different ways of checking the temperature of his oven. (I was going to list out the different treats he makes each of the 118 - AND CARLA HE MAKES LOTS OF GOODIES FOR CARLA because she deserves it i stg s6 better bring some appreciation for carla - but i hate baking with a passion and i'm in the uk so even if i could name some baked treats i bet they'll all be called different things anyway).

anyway yes he tries to bake for buck but like it's his narrative so in his head they're disasters. and he keeps foisting them off on various people (christopher's class has diabetes now after the fourth attempt) because they're terrible and not good enough. and literally everyone responds to him like "um eddie these were delicious what are u talking about" and he's like no not good enough. eddie control freak my beloved.

anyway eddie is still trying to perfect the recipe when Buck literally just finds some leftovers in the fridge and scarfs them down with absolutely no discrimination. and he's says they're delicious, with caramel stuck to his bottom lip, and eddie just has to kiss him - mostly because buck looks delicious, but also partly out of relief that he doesn't have to bake that recipe anymore.

(later eddie claims he successfully courted buck - buck privately thinks courting should involve a bit more than launching oneself around the kitchen table for a searing kiss, but he's not complaining)

I withheld my opinion on how long this storyline was in Bucks character Bible based on how long Conor stuck around. I'm more then convinced now that yeah it was probably always gonna lead here when they originally introduced him in 4. Bucks story arc has been consistent and now I'm just really fascinated to see how it will play out.

Also loving that they are leaning still into Hen and Buck because one they have always had a strong bond, but it really was those 2 together last season. It doesn't take away from Eddie and Chim at all. But again like above it sort of shows a continuation that the storyline was always gonna land here.

And just a bonus but JHC is the lack of Buddie talking is so blaring, its loud AF. This show knows it's bread and butter is Buddie. If they wanted to capitalize they would be using them like buddy cops or work husband tropes. However no, they are ratcheting up the tension so high and I can't wait for the explosion you know. They are due for a knock out drag out kiss and make up scenario lol

I honestly don’t know if when they introduced in 405 the (then still unnamed in the dialogue itself) Connor, they already planned to use him in s6. I tend to think TV shows usually plan repeated guest appearances for later in a season or for a following season. If it’s about a vital part from the initial background of a character, they might plan two (or more) seasons ahead, but my impression is that it’s not that common. From the little we know (and if we believe Tim), they didn’t plan on doing a Buck Begins, because they felt we already got that when we saw Bobby’s. So the Daniel reveal, it was presumably not a part of the character “bible” until right before s4. But TBH, I don’t expect too much consistency from the Begins eps, I think almost all of them ended up contradicting something else. When 405 aired, I believe I tried to calculate Buck’s timeline and came to the conclusion that it doesn’t add up (for example, that what we see in Buck Begins contradicts some of the stuff about the Navy SEALs he told Bobby in 102). But it doesn’t bother me that much, I choose to suspend my disbelief, if you will. ;) And I’m with you, I can’t wait to see how everything will unfold! :D

I also agree with you on Buck & Hen, I love their friendship ever since s1, and I kinda once made a lame edit (accompanied by a ficlet) to celebrate it. XD *hides under a chair*

Oh yeah, Buddie not speaking was loud enough in 604, where Eddie literally called Buck out on not talking to him about what Chris was going through, while we witness Buck suffering in silence without telling Eddie anything about his real secret, it’s even louder now that Buck’s secret was spilled. I do expect that we’ll see them talking soon enough, because yeah. This show has intentionally built Buddie up, brick by brick. They even made sure to include the lasagna scene in the s6 premiere to let us know they didn’t forget about this little family unit Buddie have with Chris. I can’t see how they can proceed with Buck’s storyline this season without letting him talk to Eddie about it. “kiss and make up” NGL, I wish the kiss were a literal one. XD

This is actually just me ranting because nobody else has seen the movie, my friends failed to get tickets and now they don't want any spoilers from me until they are able to watch it on Sunday so here I am, because ranting on tumblr is so much cheaper than therapy... which is what I actually need, bro.

I went to the cinema expecting to watch an epic come back and an amazing fight between the S6 and all three Spideys (bc I didn't believe Andrew for a second and I knew he was going to be there... Andrew, you little lying shit, I love you so much and I've missed you) but after the first ten minutes or so I knew this was going to be way darker and deeper that I've had anticipated.

I always said there was no way any other movie could compare to Endgame in the epic department because what could top every single avenger in the same movie? Cap lifting Jonathan? Tony Stark making the ultimate sacrifice? I still cry and mourn to this day. But this movie? I'm surprised but at the same time i'm not? Because I knew Marvel could always aspire to outshine itself movie after movie and they did exactly that in this one.

Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland's Spidermans all in the same movie? They ended Tobey's universe because they wanted a fresh start (I think), Andrew's because the critics hated him and "wasn't popular", and Tom's because they really really wanted a Spiderman in the MCU that they agreed to literally hold no profit from him (I honestly don't understand that agreement between Sony and Disney and don't try to explain it to me, my brain can't do the thinking thing rn)

And they put THEM ALL TOGETHER, like it was a fkn family reunion, a sad, depressive family reunion, just to make us all go mad. The whole movie theater was in chaos, you could hear the screams from outside the building, not because they had failed to soundproof it, no, it was because every single people inside was screaming, over 500 people, at the same time. Every 5 minutes there was something wild to roar about.

Tobey and Andrew coming out of the portals. That hilarious "you want me to crawl? Isn't fhis enough? I'm sticking to the ceili... please, stop throwing bread at me". Tobey "innocent baby" Maguire smiling and waving. The lab scene with the webshooters and the "I'm sorry, did that just come out of you?". The "I lost someone too. Gwen, my... My MJ" (oh god, the EMOTIONS).

TOBEY TELLING ANDREW HE IS AMAZING, NOT WILLING TO HEAR ANY KIND OF CRITICISM OR ARGUMENT ABOUT IT "NO, YOU ARE AMAZING AND AWESOME AND I LOVE YOU... I KNOW YOU NEED TO HEAR THAT BECAUSE I'M YOU, SO YEAH, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, MY AMAZING LITTLE SPIDER, LOVE YOURSELF"

The fact that Andrew's Spidey knew deep down he wasn't the favorite (don't know what that means, he is my #1, I've never stopped loving him), the little grunt when the Lizard (I think it was the Lizard or maybe Electro, idk, I was screaming) told him he wasn't the biggest sh*it anymore because he kneeew, he knew the public's opinion about him (again, my favorite Spidey, he deserved so much better), even after Tobey told him he was the shiniest star out there.

Tobey and Ock reunited once again, you could see in Peter's eyes how much he had missed Otto, or at least was relieved to see him well and alive once again. "You are all grown up now, my dear boy", yeah, I needed that.

Andrew. Catching. MJ.

And at the verge of tears while holding her in his arms. I know he has never stop thinking about Gwen's death, how much he had wish to go back in time and do something different so he could save her. And when he saw MJ falling and Peter1 getting railed by the board, his brain just clicked "notagainnotagainnotagainnotagain never again". The relieve in his eyes, he finally caught her, he had been waiting for that moment for years, had gone bitter and furious for far too long and he finally got to catch Gwen, not his Gwen but he caught her. At last.

That scene. D*amn. I knew it was coming, it wasn't a spoiler, I just knew because if Andrew was there, and MJ was falling, I knew he would catch her.

Tom going wild on the Green Goblin and lifting the board, ready to finish that man without a second thought for what he did to May (we are never going to talk about that scene in the lobby. EVER. IT DID NOT HAPPEN. MAY JUST WENT ON VACATION TO ROME) and Tobey having flashbacks and stepping in to stop Tom, not willing to let this kid version of him make any mistakes, he somehow saw what would've happened if Peter succedded on sending Norman to the great beyond. Peter Parker would have gone totally mad, Spiderman be d*amned. He knew that wasn't him. So he stepped in, no words needed, just "look at me, that's enough, you are not this, you'll never be this" and it was so powerful, once again reminding us that every Peter had gone through stuff, you can tell Tobey and Andrew still were going through stuff, would have loved to see more of that but time was against us.

Everyone forgetting Peter... that hit hard, that hurt so much, he is utterly alone, no one knows him, no one remember his name, what he had done, what he was, what he had been through, he is all alone, dealing with May's death by himself. At least if May had been alive and she had forgotten about him, Peter would have been fine with that because that meant she was safe...but no. He is grieving yet again, but this time, not just May's demise, but for every single person who knew him and loved him and he loved back.

But hey, Spidey finally is Spidey, like, himself. No AI, no multi-billion suit, no back-up killing drones, nanobites, anything, just Peter Parker, off to dealing with low life criminals and helping grannies cross the street. And I love it so much.

Peter is the next Tony Stark, he is, Tony chose him but not to follow his steps, nonono, he is the next big superhero who would give his life to save the world, who would sacrifice everything for the greater good, he now is that man. He grew up, he is now the man Tony knew he would be, choosing to do the right thing the right way instead of the convenient way.

We will see more of Spiderman in the MCU, I'll not have it any different, we know Tom just got a renewal, he is due to be in more MCU movies and I can't wait to see him... now that part of Venom is lost in a new universe (Sony and T. Hardy literally put a gun to Disney's head and said "we want gay, Disney, and I have this bi himbo disaster and his slimy very gay extraterrestrial boyfriend and they are showing their love and gayness in this movie wether you like it or not"), we need to see Venom totally freaking out and looking for his Eddie but finding a depressed spider instead (totally making that up, it would probably be one of his babies, kinda like Carnage, who knows)

I have more tickets to watch this movie today, tomorrow and Sunday so I can cry and scream all over again. Thank you past me, who knew me so well to buy more than one ticket because I knew one wasn't going to be enough for my sanity.
