Factions of Sigil

I’ve been noodling around character options from Sigil and the Outlands (sidenote: I didn’t even hear of this book until it had been out a couple weeks), just out of curiosity. I do like Sigil as a setting, but I just like big fantastic urban settings, and Sigil is an excellent example. I especially like the Hive and Lower Wards and Undersigil, but this will hardly surprise anyone.

I’m browsing the factions of Sigil. The whole defined-by-philosophy is an interesting angle, even if it does feel a little bit Hogwarts-House-y as a player option. But, you know. People like categorising themselves, and I’m likely no exception. So no harm to browse the options, and with that in mind …

I like the Bleakers. Instinctive knee-jerk favourite. First choice of faction, Bleak Cabal. Life has no meaning, so make your own, and generally try to be nice about it. (Yes, I am primarily a cleric player, what about it?). The Bleakers as an organisation offer sanctuary and respite and food and healing for planar maladies or for people who’ve just seen/been through the horrors, and I like them. There’s no grand cause, no greater meaning, so you might as well just help people. Also their home base is in the Hive Ward, which does not detract.

As someone who plays a lot of clerics, and also someone who likes cosmic horror, the Athar are also interesting. The gods are charlatans, because they’re too comprehensible to really be the powers behind something as vast and complicated as the multiverse. Clerics are actually drawing power from unknowable sources, and the deities we know are just taking the credit. That’s … toothy. I could do some stuff with the Defiers, for sure.

The Seekers are also … I mean. Archetypes I like, let’s count them down? It’s funny that the Mind’s Eye and the Bleak Cabal are opposed, but I do enjoy them both. Seekers want to expand their minds and power by constantly seeking and experiencing and learning. Also they make tools for the city, so they pull in the smith archetype, the mad scientist, the iconoclast. Also, becoming a god is a perfectly acceptable goal for a Seeker, as divinity might be one of the steps to your inner truth that you unlock.

The Dusters are … complicated for me. Initially I do quite like them? They have a fair amount in common with the Bleakers, and I also love the undertaker thing, the carers for the dead. That they believe that the multiverse is already an afterlife is fascinating and fun. But the progression, already dead to undead to true death, is where I lose the faction a little bit. Wanting to experience all the facets of death until finally finding true death probably isn’t a character motivation I’d go for myself. I would work for them, but I wouldn’t join them.

I could also noodle around with the Fraternity of Order and the Doomguard. The Fraternity’s rigid legalising isn’t something I’m interested in, but their search for underlying truth via categorisation is, and could make an interesting lawful knowledge seeker. The Doomguard’s cyclical understanding of creation and destruction, what goes up must come down again, plus their access to the smith archetype again, and their bone-and-rust-and-scars aesthetic are all interesting. I could have fun with a Sinker too, I think.

I’m not interested in the Mercykillers, Hands of Havoc, the Fated, or the Transcendent Order. I like that the Society of Sensation exists, but I wouldn’t be part of it. And the Harmonium is … complicated. I feel like it’s a faction where there’s a lot of decent people in it, people that I’d individually like, but ‘peace through might’ as an overriding philosophy is just not one I enjoy.

But. Kneejerk first instincts? Bleaker Life Cleric, Athar Goolock, possibly Fraternity Knowledge Cleric or Doomguard Barbarian.

While we’re in Sigil, though, some random locations and NPCs that I just enjoy:

All of the Hive Ward, I’m greatly enjoying the Hive Ward, but the Grease Pit is just fantastic casual worldbuilding, this fun little alley full of incredibly questionable planar street food. You’ve got a roadkill eatery run by aarakocra, a seafood eatery where you catch your own fish out of an aquatic demiplane, a myconic-operated fungal sandwich shop that sells psychoactive foodstuffs, and a sweet shop run by a faerie dragon and an imp that advertise concoctions ‘sweet enough to rot a lich’s teeth’, among other things. The art has demonic rotisserie shops, yetis selling ice cream, and a mind flayer selling something fried onna stick. It’s fantastic.

All of the Lower Ward also, but Bones of the Night, the cavern library complex of skulls collected by one old dude who uses necromancy (speak with dead) to gain access to their combined knowledge, is definitely a stand-out location. Also the Ditch, Sigil’s one body of water, a horrifying ‘reeking morass’ of corrosive and polluted water and slime (and bodies that have been melted smooth by it), that occasionally runs sweet and clear when a portal opens up and dumps water from a celestial river into it, and everybody in the district bolts down for wash day when this happens.

The Planar Energy Cooperative in the Market Ward is really cool? Founded by archmages from worlds that blew up or were otherwise destroyed due to destructive magic, they run a massive multiversal divination set up to monitor for other worlds that are about to blow themselves up too, and try to siphon magic out of worlds about to go up to stave off destruction. Like. There’s a lot you could do with that, as a concept.

And then Undersigil, all of Undersigil, but the Loop is fantastic. The loop is a closed, circular loop of tunnel that’s only accessed via portal, and if a portal dumps you in here, you can’t get out. And it’s a bit loose from reality, so as you’re running around it in a panic trying to get out, you might see your own back running around a bend ahead of you. It also bends time, so while you were lost in there for ten minutes, you could come out ten thousand years in the future. Or past. Or just sixteen days late. There are also Undersigil factions that know how to navigate it, and use it to telefrag pursuers by running into it, making sure they’re followed, and then running out again and leaving their enemies stuck. Fantastic. Excellent little bit of a thing to stick into your city.

Undersigil also has a hive mind of cranium rats called the Us or the Many-as-One, which is rapidly developing into a neural network that rivals the intellect of a god. So there’s also that. Heh.

I haven’t gotten too far into the Outlands and the Gate Towns yet, but I do like the idea that they’re constantly at risk of being devoured by the planes they’re connected to, so you have to do something ideologically opposed to that plane to keep them in the Outlands. I’m not generally fond of the alignment-based cosmology of D&D, but I do like the idea of people or even an organisation going around being evil in good aligned towns and lawful in chaotic ones not out of any necessary belief in evil or law or good or chaos, but out of pure pragmatism to keep your hometown from being flushed down the planar toilet because it got too extremely one thing or the other. That’d be a great job for a party: your organisation’s whole deal is to be a light in darkness, a dark temptation among virtue, a bastion of law amongst chaos, or a liberating flare amid rigidity, all as required when required, for no ideological reason beyond the physical preservation of your realm.

This is definitely an interesting book.

One thing from that essay I would sorta disagree on is this:

Tsukumojuuku Katou is also made distinct from Ryuusui Seiryouin’s vision of the character by the extent to which Maijou’s use of Divine Connection deconstructs and parodies its use in the JDC series. Rather than declaring a truth that is determined as final due the authority of the author, Tsukumojuuku Katou makes deductions that are known to be false whilst arranging for them to be believed diegetically through falsehoods and deceptions.

I would argue that Tsukumojuuku solving things via Making Shit Up Convincingly is not at all in opposition to JDC Juuku’s style--rather, it is hailing directly from it.

Juuku’s entire deal is ALSO Making Shit Up Convincingly. From lying that the innocent victim was the murderer, through carefully omitting the bigger context, up to not having many reservations about the plan to pin [redacted] as the Billion Killer for the greater good (to be fair, that one was [redacted]’s idea). Even his explanations about the Saimon Case seem off and are only never challenged because the audience-surrogate Kirigirisu consciously decides to shrug his suspicions away. As far as Juuku is concerned, any falsehood is fair if it solves the unsolvable and lets everyone finally have some peace... for a while.

This is far from a flawless method. Juuku’s false accusation in Joker contributed to Yaiba’s mental breakdown. The kinda-sorta-false accusation in Cosmic is what ultimately spurred Nagisa to do what she did. Juuku was arguably justified in not telling Nemu the truth about the Saimon Case--because that would also make her aware she would be inevitably murdered one day--but Nemu is justified in feeling angry over being deceived, too. One of the central themes of Carnival is the enormous impact our words have on others, and Juuku is not an exception to the rule.

In Cosmic, Juuku is shown thinking about how he could easily get to the true bottom of everything if he wanted, but he’s too afraid and intimidated by the sheer scale of the problem, so he would rather repeatedly paint over the universal rot than expose it once and for all.

I think this hesitation makes a lot of sense for him, someone who was forced to fit all his childhood in between inevitable monthly trauma for years on end; who is fully aware his and his closest ones’ executions were only temporarily stayed, and who is therefore constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. He cannot do anything but attempt to delay the inevitable just a little longer, whatever it takes.

On the deepest personality level, Juuku is someone who was forced to put all his stat points into deception and detachment to survive and now attempts to use this shitty character build to be a good person, and I love him so much.

50 followers special theory!!! (Prepare for a brain rot!!!)

Even MORE Chapter 6 Predictions: the Olympus Tech Company, RSA vs NRC details, and mini theory regarding the release date.

Now, your probably all getting impatient about Chapter six's release date. The events are something to look forward to, but it just doesn't answer what happens next in the main story line. But because of impatience, I would like to say something: it could be worse.

Seriously, I was (and still am) a fan of RWBY, and let me tell you. Their yearly hiatus is pure torture. Their release dates are in late October to early November, with their volumes ending anywhere around the end of February to early April. This leaves a time span of anywhere from 8 to 10 months between each volume. And the writing for that show isn't even close to as good as Twisted Wonderland's.

So I'm taking a second to appreciate not just the quality, but the speed of the writing and development of each chapter. Along with the effort that goes into each event, repair and update. Your doing great TWST crew! Keep up the good work!💕♥️

So, with that said, let's get to a few issues I've been thinking about for a while now.

The Olympus Tech Company

What We Know So Far

The Olympus Tech Company is one of the best tech companies in Twisted Wonderland. They sponsored the VDC voting system, and are a pretty big deal in the world. Upon receiving an invitation for an internship from the company, we learn from Ortho's reaction that getting something like this is a huge deal. It's probably a very rare occurrence for the company to undertake interns.

Idia got the intern easley enough, most likely due to his skill, and not social status. But, instead of accepting the invitation, he tossed it in the trash. Along with the rest of his invitations to work for other smaller companies.

Many people have been asking the very fair questions: Why would you throw away a great opportunity like that? What kind of past events would lead a person to toss away something that thousands of people would jump at the chance to do?

These kinds of questions are good, but this is the questions I've been asking: Did Idia make the right choice by throwing a valuable invite in the trash? Will his choice come back to bite him in the rear later on?

The reason why I ask these kinds of questions is because we don't know anything else about the Olympus Tech Company (OTC). For all we know they could premote enslavement there. (They obviously don't, but we don't really know that)

So because we know so little about the company, I decided to consult the next most accurate source besides the game, the Hercules movie. More specifically, mount Olympus, and it's residents. And I gotta say, some of the stuff I found at the beginning of the film was more than enough to make an educated guess as to what kind of company the OTC is really like.

And it's not as good as the universe makes it out to be.

My Research and Opinions regarding Olympus

Before I formally begin, allow me to cast some light on a very important factor that will change your whole output on the movie. Remember the first song that's preformed by the Muses, the Gospel truth right? This song is preformed throughout the film in smaller parts, but the whole concept of the song is very disturbing if you think about it like this. Although the title Gospel refers to the type of music used in the song, it is also a reference to something else: the perspective of the whole story. Gospel means "good message" or " good word" but it is also referred to as "the word of God".

And in this case, the word of the gods of Olympus. Or even Zeus himself. But do you realize what that means? This story is told from the perspective of the Olympians. But what about any input from a neutral party? Or even a question or two from Hades himself about the situation from his point of view?

Nope. It's just the Olympian's perspective. That's probably why Hades is depicted with more monstrous features, because they saw him as the villain.

Keep this Gospel detail in mind, because it comes in as a very important factor later on.

Now, where to begin?

The Titans

From what I could gather the titans are the primal monsters of this whole movie. They're mindless powerhouses that walk the face of the earth until Zeus comes along and traps them under the ocean. The only way to free them is to wait for the planets in the solar system to align perfectly, which in turn should cut a path through the waters and, with the help of a god, free them.

And right off the bat, there are several things that I'm questioning. Like, If Zeus put them down there in the first place, then what's to stop him from doing it again? Why is Hercules the only one who can beat the titans in round two? And despite the almighty power of the Olympian counsel, how did dozens, if not hundreds of gods lose to the titans when Zeus defeated them by himself in the first place? And how in Hade's name did Hercules beat them all? And he's lesser than all the gods at this point! How?! HOW?!??!!!

Besides that, there's not to much else to say about them. But they could be important...

Olympus

Okay, there's a lot of things I've noticed about Olympus itself. Btw, I'm not talking about the gods of Olympus, just the place itself.

Firstly, everything is made of clouds. If something gets destroyed, then it automatically repairs itself. But I think that the cloud structures of the buildings isn't just a callback to the heavens, but it reminds me of a place that seems unreal. Like, something like this isn't supposed to exist. "It's too good to be true" kinda place. It looks like a paradise, like a perfect place to live, like a place everyone would want to live.

Which brings me to my next observation: the gates to Olympus are closed. I feel like this detail is more important than you may realize. It could mean that only the gods and goddesses are allowed up here, it could mean that you need to earn your ticket there as well. One things for sure, not just anyone can waltz up there like they own the place, there's a certain type of person that's allowed up here. If you don't fit the status quo, then you aren't welcome.

Besides the gates being closed, anyone who can go over or are authorized can and do go in. But don't expect to get there without a ticket.

The gods

This is where things get dark.

The gods and goddesses of Olympus are very chill up close the first time we see them. They seem like nice people, just hanging out in heaven enjoying a paradise. They got invited to a party to celebrate a reasonable event that anyone should enjoy. Nothing seems to be wrong about this, right?

Well, when Hades enters the picture for the first time the atmosphere gets dark. It's because it's a very rare occurrence for the god of the underworld to be in Paradise. Even the other gods are wary of his presence. But Zeus did invite him because they're brothers, right? Family inviting family for a nice reunion? Hades is just being ungrateful, he's killing the mood and it's his fault, right?

No. It isn't Hades fault for anything. Mostly.

Remember what I said about the Gospel truth? How the story it told from the prospective of the Olympians? This is where that prospective comes into play.

Hades is just terrible from the olympian point of view. Is he actually bad though? No. I think that Hades is better than all the gods on Olympus combined. And the interactions tell us a lot, and give us information to back this up.

For one Hades says that most of what the gods actually do is just...well... nothing. They just hang out on Olympus partying and enacted what they call "divine justice" on the mortals. They just cash royalty sacrifices from their temples on earth, get human worship, and laze around while they do next to nothing. We even see this later in the movie.

Hades on the other hand has the full time job of ruling the underworld, which I might add is a huge responsibility. You gotta make sure that the dead come to the underworld, make sure they get the proper judgement, and you need to make sure they don't try to escape into the living world. This job takes up most of Hade's time, but like I mentioned in a previous post about Ignihyde being about adapting, Hades manages to make the job doable by only one person keeping the underworld in order. But even with the shortcuts involved, it's still a pretty hard job.

And get this, Zeus gave...no forced this job on to Hades. The poor guy didn't even get a say in the matter. He didn't get to choose, but instead a cosmic rando of a brother just walked up to him and said " Hey, bro! Imma gonna give you a job away from home that's gonna be a bit tough, but don't worry! All you gotta do is keep an entire realm that is just as big if not bigger than Olympus under control. Make sure the dead don't come up to the surface to start a zombie apocalypse! Okay? Okay! Love ya! Thanks!"

And Zeus doesn't even bother to help Hades in anyway. So basically, while the gods just sit on cloud cushions doing next to nothing, Hades is down in the underworld doing an important, thankless job just because his younger brother gave him that responsibility without his input.

I did say Olympus was full of nice people, I never said they were good.

And what Zeus did to Hades? It's disgusting because Hades did nothing to deserve this treatment. And wanna know something else? Inviting Hades to a party on Olympus is just a huge insult rather than a nice reunion. Because Zeus is basically saying, " Hey bro! Welcome back to the paradise we practically kicked you out of! It's such a nice party we're having, reminding you of everything your missing out on! Isn't my son adorable? It's so nice that he was born into a place like this, and loved by everyone just because his father is the king. Btw, no one finds your jokes funny because, if we're being honest, you don't really belong here!" And Zeus even has the audacity to tell Hades to stay longer. Wanna know why he does that? It's because if Zeus just told Hades to leave then it would make Zeus look bad, telling his own brother to go. In reality, it would be nicer to Hades to just tell him he's not wanted than making yourself look better by keeping him in a place that's out of his league.

So I'm asking the question, is Hades right to try and take Olympus?

In many cases, yes. However the way he goes about it isn't that great. But honestly, I don't blame him for wanting to tear his deadbeat family apart.

Another question that I ask myself: If Hades was allowed to stay in and rule Olympus, would he do a better job?

Actually, yes. I believe he would, because even though Hades would enjoy himself up there, he has a productive personality. He managed to make running the underworld easier for himself, so it would be cake for Hades to be in charge of Olympus. Not only that, but he could do so much better because he would not just find ways to cut corners with quality work, his presence would make things farer for everyone else.

Remember what I said earlier about the status quo? That only the gods are allowed on Olympus? Hades may be a god, but it's made clear from his first appearance and the Olympian's reactions that he doesn't fit the status quo. Monsters, and other creatures don't fit the mold either, and are gazed upon as, well, monsters. But, if Hades was in charge, then I'm willing to bet he would try and find a use for the cast outs. After all, in the underworld, he has Cerberus guarding the dead, Pain and Panic working as minions carrying out smaller jobs for the god, and the Fates, who are informants giving Hades accurate information. All of the characters above don't fit the status quo, and yet, Hades still relies on them to lend a hand and trusts they'll do their jobs. (They don't always, but at least they try.)

If I'm being honest here, I don't think that Hades isn't worthy of Olympus, I think Olympus isn't worthy of Hades. Because as far as we've seen, none of the gods even come close to doing something as important or as difficult as Hades.

The Olympus Tech Company And what it might be like

So, taken all this information about Olympus, what do we think the OTC is like?

The answer is a garbage company.

Its probably just like any mega corporation that hires underpaid workers who work in poor conditions while the higher-ups do next to nothing, living a life of luxury while certain people below them are working hard to earn a living.

That's the basic gist of the company. They probably don't let anyone move up the ranks unless that person is appealing in some way. Basically if you fit their status quo, then you get a raise, maybe a better position. Who knows? Maybe they steal ideas from their lower employees. They don't actually care about any of them though.

And the stuff they program and produce is probably something like today's corporations would be able to produce. Their company is modern, but not advanced, though they probably think it's advanced compared to lesser companies. The type of technology their company produces is most likely the equivalent to our modern day tablets, phones, and computers. Just stamp a brand on it and OMG you've got the latest tech from the OTC. They probably also care about quantity over quality, meaning that they're willing to sell more of their products rather than products of good condition. Unless you wanna pay more for quality.

What about interns? What sort of treatment do they get?

Idia got an invitation to become an intern during his fourth year, and that's supposed to be a big deal, given how rare they are. But if we're right about the company being garbage, would they show that to interns? Probably not because that could cause a dent in their reputation. As for treatment of the interns, they would get treated well enough, definitely better than the factory workers who have been in the company way longer.

So comparing the OTC to Ignihyde, The OTC would definitely have more respect (which they do not deserve) and Ignihyde would be more advanced (but they're not too big on credit).

Olympus and OTC comparison

What do both places and people have in common?

Both have Lazy higher-ups who take all the credit

Both have a class in the company who don't fit the status quo

While the Olympians do nothing, the OTC's technology refects the higher-ups lazy attitudes

Both the highest don't care about the people below them

Both will use whatever means necessary to secure their reputation, wealthe, and possition

Hades and Idia comparison

Both do important jobs that they had no say in getting ( they didn't ask for this, guys)

Both feel left out, but have gotten used to it overtime

Both are good at finding shortcuts and making good use of resources

Both can change their strategy when the situation calls for it

Both don't fit the status quo

Both disapprove of the normal people ( Idia thinks they're just NPCs while Hades thinks the dead are boring)

Both hate people, and they both probably have bad blood within their families

So basically Idia's reaction if he ever got to see the OTC up close? He'd either nope the heck outa there, or if he ever took the opportunity and made it big in the company, he'd turn it on it's head and completely reform it.

OTC vs Ignihyde

So what kinda conflict is gonna strike between these two very different places?

Well, to start off, I wasn't sure what kind of conflict would strike out between an NRC dorm and an entire company. So, again I looked at Hercules and picked out the first big enemy. So, let's look at the threat at the beginning of the movie, the Titans.

I said they would be important somehow, and at first, I wasn't sure. I tried thinking of something that could fit as a titanic threat. Maybe an unstable invention, a nuclear weapon, or perhaps a powerful discovered Magical artifact? All things considered, no matter what is was, it was going to be imprisoned by the CEO of the Olympus Tech Company for not just safety reasons, but for research purposes. The problem was coming up with what exactly.

And then, the realization hit me with the force of Ares's chariot.

Ortho Shroud is based off of the Titans from the movie.

Yes, yes, I know. Outrageous claim. But there is a lot of evidence to support this Theory.

Firstly, the Titans were seen as huge primal monsters causing endless natural disasters such as hurricanes, volcanoes, and earthquakes. They were left unchecked until Zeus imprisoned them all.

Taking a look at Ortho, we've seen time and time again that he's capable of causing mass destruction as well. His archetype gear fired a powerful beam of magic that destroyed a tree, his star gazer gear is capable of punching through storm clouds (which, btw are huge) tearing up the sports field in the process, and he almost leveled the entire college during the Ghost marriage event. And these are only a handful of times we've seen him ready to use violence and destruction as the solution to the problems at hand. Basically, Idia is good at designing destructive weapons, and Ortho's outfits are perfect examples of this. Not to mention there was more than one Titan and Ortho has several different outfits each one capable of causing a different kind of mass destruction.

The next, and probably the most important tie these two groups have in common is this: lightning.

Zeus imprisoned the Titans with his thunderbolts, and they hold a grudge against him because of it. They don't like lightning.

Well, guess what? Ortho doesn't like lightning either. Now, we don't know exactly why. There a number of different reasons, and here are a few guesses:

Lightning killed the original Ortho

He can malfunction due to a lightning strike

It's a part of the Shroud family curse

He thinks its annoying

We still don't know exactly why, but a distaste for lighting is a definite connection.

And what happened to the Titans? They were imprisoned by Zeus.

And what do you think's gonna happen to Ortho in the next chapter?

Once the OTC finds out the truth about Ortho, and that he's actually a robot, they're gonna want answers. Why is your brother a robot? How did he manage to build something like this? It's just an AI, right?

And when they see how much damage Ortho can cause, the head of the company is going to want him contained. So the base of conflict between dorm and company? It's not just Ortho that's at stake, but the entire dorm. The OTC may be a bigger deal than Ignihyde, but the dorm is probably centuries ahead of any tech company. In a previous post, I listed off a few things I wanted to see as Ignihyde's unique feature. One of the things that I mentioned is a data archive. If the dorm has a library for all their knowledge, which probably contains lots of info for magical technically, then who wouldn't say that could be of some value to the Olympus Tech Company?

I wouldn't be surprised if the OTC took some of it's inspiration from the actual disney company in america because those guys are basically known for taking something, rewriting and rebranding it, then claiming all the credit for whatever they did. It would make perfect sense to have the company based off of the real life company who it's owned by. The whole Hercules movie was written by two people who highlighted disney's flaws of merchandising and branding and threw those into the movie. A subtle but realistic joke about Hercules's popularity and how it's used by the company.

The OTC and their possible ties to RSA

Now, it's not just going to be The Olympus Tech Company vs Ignihyde this chapter, we've still got RSA to worry about. Throwing an entire school towards an entire dorm would be a little unfair, so the rest of NRC would definitely be involved with the annual school vs school Magift tournament.

I've already covered the possibility of RSA cheating for a century in a row. I'm holding on to that theory because if these bozos win without some kinda godly trump card or rule violation and just because they're the perfect players from the perfect hero school, I'm gonna burn that prep academy to the ground, sow the ground with salt, and throw the ashes of the school into a volcano! I'll take great pleasure watching that volcano erupt, destroying the remains of that blasted, stupid institution once and for all!

Alright, you get the point. Making a perfect academy would be the worst thing you can do.

But what if it's not just the Magift tournament? What if they were cheating at the VDC as well?

How could they though? It's decided by a majority vote which is done in real time by the people. How could they tamper with the people's votes?

They messed with the voting system. And the OTC were sponsoring that, right? The Olympus tech company is responsible for NRC losing again. Now, I'm not saying that they convinced more people to vote for RSA, I'm saying they actually messed with the numbers. And since they sponsored the system, all those votes were completely at their mercy. They could've made some invalid, deleted a few, and in the end the results were the same. RSA came out on top.

But do you notice how close the match was? By just one vote. I think that originally, NRC was ahead by a few, so the OTC cut some votes off from the original winners to make it look like it was a close game, but RSA was victorious.

I think Neige's supporters were in on the secret. They knew the game was rigged in their favor, and they knew they would win. Did you really think that they were just reassuring Neige just to make him feel more confident? They were stating the fact. They were definitely in on it.

Now the question: why would the OTC go up against NRC? Why help RSA win?

There are at least two possibilities as to why. But both depends on a certain factor, the character based off of Hercules himself.

Possiblity #1: Vil Schoenheit is also based off of Hercules

Both have a similar pasts (minus the godly background) but both do have a father in a higher possition.

Vil is going up against Idia in the next chapter. The chapter might have an important element of heros and villains. And we may see where Vil tries to play the role of the hero.

So, what does this have to do with the OTC?

The Olympus tech company's reason for cheating would be in this case that they were bribed by RSA. They tampered with the voting for money.

Very dirty of them, but because of corporate greed? Why not?

Possiblity#2: there is a new character who fills the base and the role of Hercules

This one is probably the more likely one, as it would not only give us a chance to meet more RSA students, but also the head CEO of the OTC.

In this case, the CEO would be based off of Zeus, and he would have a son based off of Hercules. The Hercules character would attend RSA, and maybe have a few friends who are based off of Hercules's friends (Random thing where he's gay for Twisted!Megera, but that's just a joke.) Basically, it would follow the equivalence rule about the hero and villain counterparts. After all, Hades went up against Hercules, not Zeus. Having Idia and Twisted!Hercules competing in Magift against each other would make the most sense.

Now this would be where the OTC motive for rigging the voting system come in. Twisted!Zeus is the head of the OTC, and his son attends one of the academies with a representative from that same academy. It would make RSA look bad for losing, the same academy his son attends. Why not push the votes in RSA'a favor to ensure that the students of the academy keep their flawless reputations?

Of course, it's possible for it to be a combination of both possibilities.

And if the OTC is sponsoring the score boards for the Magift tournament, who's to say they won't do the same thing again?

But, there's something they never considered about this year's Magift tournament.

Tipping the scales

RSA students most likely have been taught to work together. This is a good thing for them. They've been taught how to function as a unit, how to help each other through hardships, and to come out victorious together. This is all fine, and I'm willing to bet that the teachers at RSA have taught this lesson to the students as a traditional one. It's always been there. And it's known for this tradition

NRC students have always been asked the question: what do you want? They persue their own goals and dreams, rarely working with others to come out on top. And when they do work together, it's usually on conditions. Crowley's probably been at the college since the start, and has not just taught the students to not rely on anyone but themselves, but also the harsh cruel reality of the world: Happy endings don't just happen on their own. You need to work for them. The students don't rely on each other, and never have.

Both academies's greatest strengths is the others greatest weakness. RSA's weakness is it's students falling apart and being separated. NRC's weakness is the students working together with no motivation, because they aren't used to working with people they hate, it's constant fighting among themselves.

But that system is about to be broken by one person: MC

MC has been teaching the students to work together and establish friendships with each other. Through the NRC students misadventures, MC has been teaching them to overcome hatred and ban together. So now, not only are the NRC students capable of working as strong individuals, but they can now function as a unit as well.

This eliminates the system of strength and weakness because now, RSA has the weakness of not being able to function as individuals. Not all students suffer from this, but most would. But the ability to work with others as well as by yourself would give NRC the advantage in a fair game. But if we count the fact that RSA has the cheats and support, this game was never ment to be fair.

So to sum it all up:

The OTC is a company full of jerks

Ortho is based off of the Titans and needs to be protected at all costs

Ignihyde must protect their entire dorm from the dark crime of plagiarism

The OTC may be helping RSA cheat due to bribery and/or family connections

We can't trust anything sponsored by the OTC

And MC is going to help our bois destroy the competition

Or, again I could be horribly wrong.

Ma’at

There are, needless to say, a lot of Egyptian Gods. Because of this I’ll be doing these little pages for my favorites and, if I feel like it later on, I will progress to the other Gods and Goddesses. I probably won’t do Ra mostly because he’s well known and I dislike him immensely (do not ask me why). Anyway, here’s one of my top Egyptian Gods: Ma’at.

Ma’at is interesting because she’s more of an idea than an actual deity. Her name is mentioned a lot, but she herself is not mentioned very often, as her law was more important than her being. Fair enough – her law was peace, order, and in Nuclear Family Ancient Egypt, order was held above all else. Everyone partook in holding up the sacred law of ma’at. In this way she was a bit like Heka, who was the personification of magic, not just a God of magic.

I had a little difficulty with this, so I’ll start out by saying her name is generally pronounced as May-et. She first appeared in the Old Kingdom, though it’s generally agreed upon that she existed in some form before that. As one of the oldest Gods, she was created by Atum with help from Heka, who was the personification of magic. Supposedly she was around at the beginning of time, being spoken into existence by Atum right after he emerged from the primordial waters. Her name, meaning ‘that which is straight,’ implies justice, order, and harmony, each of which were highly revered by ancient Egyptians.

She played an important part in death just as much as life. As you can see from her iconography, she has a feather on her head, titled the feather of Ma’at. This feather was the one used in the weighing of the hearts ceremony, which decided if the deceased would pass on to the field of reeds, or be cast into nonexistence. 

To me, she’s a bit like the laws of physics but for ancient Egyptians. She was what kept the world together, she made everything rational, and she gave everything purpose. Without her, there was no society. Essentially, she made life function, and with the help of Heka (magic), she ‘powered’ the world. Egyptians revered her for this, and one of the important aspects of ancient Egyptian life was to ensure you were following ma’at by being fair to all you meet and performing your duties.

“Ma'at was the model for human behavior, in conformity with the will of the gods, the universal order evident in the heavens, cosmic balance upon the earth, the mirror of celestial beauty. Awareness of the cosmic order was evident early in Egypt; priest-astronomers charted the heavens and noted that the earth responded to the orbits of the stars and planets. The priests taught that mankind was commanded to reflect divine harmony by assuming a spirit of quietude, reasonable behavior, cooperation, and a recognition of the eternal qualities of existence, as demonstrated by the earth and the sky. All Egyptians anticipated becoming part of the cosmos when they died, thus the responsibility for acting in accordance with its laws was reasonable. Strict adherence to ma'at allowed the Egyptians to feel secure with the world and with the divine plan for all creation.” (Margaret Bunson, 152)

Unlike many Gods, she was signified in art with a plinth. Plinths were commonly seen beneath the thrones of Gods, but not with their personal name, which is where Ma’at comes in. Her name is shown with the plinth, and many researchers believe it signifies that ancient Egyptians thought Ma’at was the foundation of society. Along with that, she also helped Ra fight the serpent Apophis every night.

Another part of Ma’at that I personally really like is the fact that in many stories written by ancient Egyptians, she was a ruler of a perfect world. They speak of a world before time, a world long lost, where there was no hatred and no crime, and most times this world was ruled by Ma’at. In that way, the perfect world is one ruled by a Goddess of order and justice.

I’ve mentioned this many times, but Egyptians lived by rather simple rules that you don’t see often in modern society. It was their very, very strong belief that every person needed to take care of themselves, as well as keep in mind the needs of other people and that of the earth. In fewer words, you need to care about yourself, other people, and the earth. I think this was one of the reasons they didn’t totally run their environment into the ground like Meroe and Rapa Nui.

If you followed the above rules, your heart would weigh lighter than Ma’at’s white feather of truth. The more in tune you were with the law of ma’at, the lighter your heart was, and the better of a person you were.

Despite her popularity, Ma’at didn’t have any temples. Like Heka, her worship was limited to sanctuaries and shrines inside other temples, where people could leave what they usually left to Gods. Food, wine, and incense. Because of this she didn’t have priests either – there were those labelled a priest of Ma’at, but most historians believe the title to be more honorary than anything. So far there’s only been one temple found that was definitively dedicated to her (built by Hatshepsut), and even that one was in the district of Montu. Veneration was instead absorbed through (as previously stated) offerings and simply living by her law day-to-day. She was an aspect of every deity, and by worshipping any one of them, you worshipped her.

She was an incredibly important deity of Egypt, as you should see from her interactions in both ancient Egyptian life and society. All other Gods and Goddesses lived through her as she kept the order, thus making every temple for any God subsequently hers as well. She was “the underlying cosmic principle which made the lives of humans and gods possible.” (Joshua Mark)

A few fun facts about her: she was the daughter of Ra, or Atum. Her husband was Thoth, God of Wisdom. She bore eight children through Thoth, which came to be the primeval deities of Hermopolis. Isis and Hathor developed a few of their traits from her, though Ma’at’s importance is obvious throughout the whole of Egyptian history, just as any idea of law was in other societies.

           Initially, Luz and Amity were similar in how they approached being mistreated. Both of them wanted to believe in some divine, cosmic order that justified their mistreatment, or at least made it meaningful and necessary. Luz initially hoped that it was because she was secretly a Chosen One, set apart from the rest; While Amity subscribed to ideas of hierarchy and strength, reassuring herself that if she WAS mistreated by her parents, it was all right in the end because she actually deserved to be punished, and this was ultimately rightful justice!

           However, Luz had both the maturity, and also the support network, to realize the truth- That no, there is no grand scheme or explanation for why she was ostracized by others. There is no greater, nobler cause or reason behind her loneliness and initial misery in life, it was just something that happened, when it very easily couldn’t have- It was something that could’ve ended at any moment, had the people who ostracized or belittled her chosen to have a more open mind to who Luz was, or be more patient and kind with her!

           And in some ways, the revelation that there was no point to your misery, that there was no necessity to it, that it was all completely unnecessary and could’ve so easily ended at any point but didn’t… The realization of such an unfair world can be terrifying. So for Amity, who’s already dealing with a lot, it’s easier for her to cope with her misery by believing that it’s all justified, fair, and sensible in the end. But Luz is different, because she recognizes that the system IS wrong, that it isn’t correct and this isn’t how things should be… Luz admits and recognizes that there is an ugly problem, and while it’s an inconvenient truth, at least NOW she can actually tackle this issue and work to improve it. That’s not something she could do by denying/refusing to acknowledge the problem’s existence to begin with.

           It shows self-respect on Luz’s part, that she KNOWS that she shouldn’t have suffered… And it also holds a degree of accountability, by recognizing where others have messed up, and not shouldering all of the blame and responsibility on herself to be happy, because Luz is a kid. Her suffering was not ‘good’, there is not necessarily a bright side to it, it shouldn’t have happened… And if Luz can vouch for herself, well, she can vouch for others as well! There is no secret answer to why stuff happened, no divine plan overhead (unlike what Belos may claim on the Titan’s alleged behalf). It’s all genuinely subject to people’s own decisions and choices.

          And while this can be scary for some, it also opens up the realization that one CAN change their fate and circumstances, on their own! It’s not for some grand cosmic order to decide, but simply oneself… Which means that all it takes to change things, is oneself’s own initiative! One doesn’t necessarily need the permission of some divine force or anyone else to do so… At least ideally. Non-conducive environments and circumstances can make it much harder for some than others to actually change their scenarios in life. That’s why, again, one has to change the system after all! Support should be readily given, so people can make that fundamental step to choose to change how things are, for the better- Instead of leaving it in the hands of an intangible concept to decide how they feel.

           Ultimately, Luz knows her emotions are valid. If she says she doesn’t want this, then that’s all the reason she needs to decide that she doesn’t want to be ostracized or feel miserable. Obviously she isn’t entitled to others either, nor does she expect them to cater to her personal happiness… All Luz is asking is simply to be allowed to exist, as she is! That isn’t to say she won’t change her behavior if it’s harmful, she IS very open-minded and will receive criticism- But she wants it to be constructive, rather than something meant solely to punish and tear her down. Luz is not one for meaningless pain designed only to make others suffer, she wants to actually fix and work with things- Only then can she accept the pain. Pain for pain’s sake is silly. At most, suffering should only come as an inevitable side-effect to actual growth and change, and not as a requirement by itself!

Over the years, trial after trauma after countless trial compounding into a constant uncontrolled free fall toward humanity’s cause, everything Castiel thought he knew for fact dissolved into mere fiction perpetrated by his Father in a plot seemingly created solely for the entertainment of that self-same Creator.

Everything, that is, except one universal tenet of reckoning arising over and over no matter the situation: Everything comes at a cost. Nothing in life is free, least of all that will he fought fist and wing and wit whilst falling to embrace.

Which accounts for his stubborn suspicion about your motives in helping the Winchesters - not coming to their aid on one or two occasions, but rising from the fires of Hell whenever they get stuck in a rut, and just as often availing your support even when they aren’t. After all, demons don’t take day trips out of the pell-mell of perdition to offer assistance unless they want something in return.

The what is what the seraph cannot figure out. What has him both dubious and intrigued in such a manner he can’t keep his thoughts, idle or otherwise, from wandering to you and the conflict of emotion - a push and pull dance between light and dark, divinity and doom, a cosmic waltz that leaves him dizzy - he feels every time he’s in your presence.

It’s what has him summoning you for interrogation to a generically furnished motel room off the I-90 with Sam and Dean well out of the way - generic save for the addition of a demon trap fastidiously spray painted in crimson on the carpet and for which Castiel’s, or rather, Jimmy Novak’s credit card will be docked for damages after he checks out and housekeeping discovers the disturbing decor.

You’ve dodged his queries before by disappearing - an action usually preceded by a flirtatious fluttering pink smirk and a suggestive wink. The trap guarantees you won’t get away without clearing up his confusion.

You manifest in an onyx-eyed akimbo-stance huff cursing the rudeness of your summoner when they could have simply picked up the phone and called because, ‘Hello! It’s not the dark ages.’

The dissatisfied murmur ceases, a smile spreading your lips to flash the pearly whites veiled beneath when you see the angel is the source of your involuntary vexation because this particular angel intrigues you as much, if not more, than you intrigue him.

Sure, when you first sauntered into the Winchester’s wheel house uninvited it was with the idea of indebting them to you in return for some future favor; but when you laid eyes on their ally, you got a glimpse of actual glory, and although your mortal soul be damned beyond saving, all else fled your thoughts save a taste for a different type of seraphim-assisted salvation.

If he doesn’t recognize your interest - nay, overt attraction - yet through that thickly righteous skull housing his celestial grey matter, all it means is that you need to keep knock-knock-knocking at Heaven’s door a little longer and, perhaps, a little louder.

“Angelcake, to what do I owe the pleasure?” You move a step and a half in his direction, stopping short at the outer line of the circle.

The seraph didn’t doubt the tried and true tactic would hold you, but still, his chest swells with a sense of satisfaction in seeing you at his mercy. Studying your face in anticipation of a frown emerging thereon, a surprising observation surfaces from his subconscious to tickle his rational fancy that the bedlam of twisted soul behind those inky irises, a creature unrecognizable as a human anymore, appears to him as a chaos of stormy hues not sinister in disorder, but as compelling as the shifting colors of a sunset so stunning one cannot look away from it.

The thought, twitching his upper lip, tests his stolid facade.

You peer up in time to catch the subtle crack in his stoicism. Defiant of how he thinks you’ll react, your smile widens, stretching up at one corner in sultry reach toward an equally grinning gaze. “If you wanted to tie me up, all you had to do was ask.”

“What? I-” A squint dims the vibrant blaze of his blues; the lids flare after a second or two in sudden understanding of your debauched implication- “no, that’s not-”

“You really don’t know, do you? You angelic ass.” Smile and patience summarily fading, you interrupt a train of verbalized thought definitely not traveling to the destination you desire. If you stuck a Post-It note to your forehead that read, ‘Fuck me!’ in block letters you couldn’t be any more obvious; not that the feeling is strictly physical for you, that’s just the superficial iceberg of a much deeper emotion.

The hot white neon radiance of raggedly feathered wings stacked over his shoulders - clear as day to your demonic second sight - shudder in revolt of the accusation. “What are you talking about?”

Evidently he needs you to spell it out for him like a prophet writing on a wall; God’s team never did fair well without a playbook. But the problem here isn’t him knowing - that ruffling of feathers tells you on some level, he knows enough to rile him - it’s one of doubt. The problem with him is always freaking doubt. Doubt, like everything, exists in balance; the other side of fear is bravery.

You’ve witnessed first hand he isn’t lacking for courage in other areas, you just need to lube the cogs of the celestial machine enough to loosen them in your favor. “I see the way you look at me, Castiel. The way you don’t look away.”

The continued intensity of his stare and shiver of plumes scream out the truth skimmed by the statement; and yet, his tongue wields incongruous words. “I look because you’re an abomination and it’s my duty not to turn a blind eye.”

“Pshaw, duty,” you blow a puff of disenchanted air through pursed lips. Toeing the very edge of the sigil until your chest tightens in a crush of ribs, you steal a couple of extra millimeters of pain-stifled space in order to drive the point home as close to its heavenly host as possible. “An abomination according to who? You, Castiel?”

The query jars him into motion and the guilty realization you aren’t off base in asking about his assumption gravitates him nearer; demons are a species he thought he knew, but he thought he knew a lot of other things too and he was wrong. He lifts a palm to lightly press your arm to encourage you to retreat back within bounds and out of suffering, confessing in a penitence-laden lowness of tone, “No. No one.”

You swat at the kindness; wincing, arm breaching the barrier to follow his, your fingers wrap his wrist. Panting at the onslaught of pain, you yank him into the trap with you.

Instinct guides his hands to hook your waist, stabilizing you while you steady your breath.

Your body hums in gratitude for the gesture. Straightening yourself with the leverage of his lapels, peering up, you pierce his glossy blues with a blackly earnest gaze. “So then what do you really think I am? ‘Cause I think you’ve been nothing but an angel every day of your life, and now you wonder what it’s like to be damned.”

Although the interrogation didn’t go exactly to plan - things rarely ever do - your challenge to his foundation clarifies to him what it is you want, not from the Winchesters, but from him.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, amid the lies programed as gospel on the day of his making, a once firmly held belief that all demons are abominations buries itself in the ruins of false reason. Reverberating in a swift smash of sweetly soft lips to yours, the truth of what he feels asserts itself in the knee-weakening, grace-revving, loin girding proof of a kiss.

Everything comes at a cost, and once in an epoch, payment is tendered in the love-bridled beating of an angel’s heart for his beautiful abomination.

Grandmother Anna 2/24/2020

Hello children, I am your Grandmother Anna. I say ‘your’ because truly I was a part of such a large family and there were so may children, and I do so love the children. Come to me. Let us sit and talk awhile. Let us drink mulled spiced tea and let me hear what’s on your mind. I am well acquainted with the pain and joys of being encased within the physical form. I had a very long life of over 600 years and I had my shares of loneliness and pain. But truly children, those were blessings in disguise. All of such lessons are. For they help you find your true self, the Christed child within. The golden one is calling you home, home to the higher dimensional ways. I wish to lovingly ask you if you are meditating? For chaos is brewing, but underneath the chaos the deep calm is present. (I am seeing a bubbling kettle.) Yes, dear. The bubbles are mainly on the surface. They rise from the deep and pop on the top, do they not? All is being prepared in this moment of the grand awakening. You are tired from the physical changes that you are enduring. It is not unlike the practice of the Essenes where they devoted approximately a year to total body rejuvenation. It was exhausting, all consuming work. And we had the luxury of rest for we were a part of a loving community. We see that you are still busy with your lives, with your families, your occupations. I would encourage you to intend healing and love throughout your day. It will be of great medicine to you and offer you inner peace. Although inner peace must be found, it cannot be given. It is not a cheap trick. But you are well beyond that. You are not asking for quick advice. We see the searching of the true seeker. We read the hearts of the initiates of the way. We know that you have pure hearts, pure eyes, and seek to survive and thrive on the wings of the divine through this rebirthing process. You are indeed being rebirthed.

I am Grandmother Anna. I was a midwife for much of my life. I assisted the young mothers with their infants through the entire process of pregnancy and birth. I am well acquainted with birth pangs and how to relieve them. Birth need not be painful if you are wise enough to accept and allow, to welcome the pain as your healing, to meditate through the waves of energies. You are in a cosmic soup pot of bubbling energies. Find the peace, the inner stillness, the healing moment within them. And claim your rebirth with grace and ease. Surround yourself in light.

I am your Grandmother Anna. I am always eager to talk with you. We have been working vary hard in the ethers. There has been much clean up and preparation. Such a large family, and so many of you are incarnated in this most pregnant now. We are sending you our love. I have made some nourishing vegetable root soup for you. I am sending the energy of this healing elixir to you so that you will be comforted. Nothing is a as lovely as hot delicious soup when one needs a moment of quiet peace and contemplation, or fellowship. We offer both to you. We of the Essene order often ate in silence, but Yeshua typically encouraged fellowship and community by changing that up into more of a celebratory time. It depended of course, on the occasion. We Essenes do know how to celebrate. Weddings were a lovely event. We all greatly anticipated them. We see the wedding of Gaia into her ascended state. We see the joining of the twin flames that have been long separated. We see the divine union of the Christ with his bride, the Sophia. We see much joy. Our eyes are shimmering with bright happy tears of joy. Our wish for you is to be happy. Do you remember how to be truly happy? Such a joy to rediscover this simple, often overlooked truth. In your society you overlook happiness, not intentionally, but because of all of the demands that you have placed upon yourselves. No more. Society is expanding for consciousness is rising. New systems, new parameters, new living situations, new communities will be formed and created. Happiness will be valued once again.

Feel the Christed flame burn within you and please do enjoy the elixir of happiness that I just infused into this message. A bit more seasonings are always most welcome to a hungry soul. And see, you are looking for answers, still listening to a wise old soul. I see you. I know you. I love you. I look deep into your eyes and I see myself. For we are all one, children. Welcome home, initiates of the way. Feel this deep inner peace of your own rising of your own Christed light. Let it burn away that which no longer serves you. Let it create happier memories in the coming days. Release the past memories that create a bit of ache. You need not keep carrying those around. It is like sitting on a small hard stone and pretending to be comfortable. No. Move the rock. Thank it, release it and be comfortable. Sit on a pillow. Love yourself. Be happy and be free of the worries that have so long encumbered you!

I am your Grandmother Anna. I too had my fair share of worries when were lived (I say ‘we’ for we were such a large family!) within the Roman occupation. I have my fair share of stories to tell. But I am delighted to say that I made a difference, that I shined my light, that I radiated the Christed light most often, more often than not. We all have our moments were are not terribly proud of. But that is to be human within a matrix of twisting. Forgive. Move on. Shine your light. Be happy. Be free in the knowing that you have made a tremendous difference, and that your family is so very, very, very proud of you. You are tremendously supported, valued, treasured.

I am your Grandmother Anna. I do love you so. Be happy. That is my hope for you today, my message of encouragement and joy. Be in joy! The Christ is here, is within you. What a joyful truth! We are celebrating, we are supporting, we are uplifting, we are holding the space and light for you in your moment of rebirth. The light pulses from your sun are like birth contractions. Remember to breathe through them with the great anticipation of happier days to be created right in front of you. For if you are being reborn, all is as well. Isn’t that exciting? Chuck came off as bad (& as annoying) as Metatron, to me. Very megalomaniac like & SO OOC. He's worried about Jack sneezing India away. But then he just overreacts (to D&S making the RIGHT CHOICE which he always liked before) & 'ends' the world he was so worried about?

But to be fair, this seems to be going on with a lot of people.

And generally comes from, atop canon confusion, Christian Culture Coding getting in the way of people’s lenses, even if they, themselves, are atheist or whatever, because we live in a society largely formulated by the dogma.

That said,

You’re confusing the God of Control with the God of Good. Point being, there was never a God of Good, just a God of Control. He humors, he lies, he misleads, and when it goes beyond his control, he punishes. He burns. He floods. He starts over. Or at least Gnostic. Hermetic has a different silver lining which I bang on elsewhere. The two overlap. We’ll see.

Christian dogma is understandably unkind to this, or the mainstream forms of it. Other belief systems that tap on judeochristian elements, like Gnosticism and Hermeticism – which were both very present in this season, admit to this from different angles.

Gnosticism is the pessimistic angle, wherein ironically Lucifer was the force of respective good who brought knowledge to man with his division from the divine, and brought free will. Hermeticism acknowledges the Great Good as god, but not as the god we know. Both forms have a god above the terrestrial god, above the fire and brimstone god, above both a masculine and a feminine aspect (Amara) as the one and the all - the shadow of god, as it were, the first thought that floated in the Empty Nothingness, the Ein Soph. As all things are this Shadow, we are all God, and all reflected in it, and it is our own Shadow as well, but no one of us is the one true god unto ourselves. Rather, climbing the tree of life is the ascent towards the divinity, away from the terrestrial and mundane worlds and into a state of cosmic consciousness – first in realms of angels and gods and then past it, to primal thought and to grasp what the Nothing Before Creation even means.

Gnosticism’s pessism gives aspect to this in addressing the concept of Abraxas as the true creator, with demiurges and false creators beneath them as fragments of the self.  A two set: A god of both creation and control, and a god of knowledge and freedom. But there is also the divine masculine and the divine feminine, representing creation and destruction, neither of which are good or evil, just balances of the universe. 

The god that breathed creation is more of the true satan in our understanding of the concept; that the Lucifer that was cast down did so at the cost of breaking past the walls of control to bring a different form of truth to man. Gnosticism frames Lucifer, ironically, as the benevolent force in this structure (which, in theory, in being the first to rebel against villainous Chuck and his control, would have made him the first hero of this story, as much as we are loath to admit it with Mark P – to whence he was caged, strangulated, abused, kicked out of heaven, and himself became a monster – is this sounding familiar with Jack’s path in sync to Team Free Will as his fathers?)

Even still, Chuck’s attempt to control – or, in the old narrative, save his creation – was giving the mark to Lucifer. Lucifer, driven by the destructive balance needed in the universe, then descended. Amara’s destruction and black smoke still entered the world as the demons and hell, and balance resumed, with Lucifer framed into the Ultimate Villain Of This Story, drive and motivation behind we only hear in S11, but didn’t want to sympathize with, especially with Chuck’s supposed parental lessons.

On the other hand, Chuck voluntarily wrote the draft for the ultimate biblical revelation. Everybody tore that up. In theory he kept writing. He kept “creating.” Only his creation was one misery porn after another. Other pseudo-gods tried to fill his place, even write like him, but without the same universal impact because they weren’t really in his seat. He was still writing. He was still writing all of it. 

A thousand prayers he could have answered and he didn’t. He just kept writing. Kept making new dramas. There is the theoretical question of if Amara is a being of his own design to introduce the drama of it, but with the later gnostic and hermetic structure meeting the vein of it, that is unlikely. Rather, it is the divided god, The Archon, the Demiurge, the Unbegotten father theoretically above it, just like in full metal alchemist,

Speculatory? Sure, but not unparallel. It was the end of the road at the far nothing once journies were met, past poles of sacrifice and gain, of destruction and creation, of any concept of evil or good. It is the ultimate good, because its thoughts are what becomes and exists, but it is you, and me, and everyone, and it is our shadow that reflects us, as only its dream is, in a very lovecraftian concept wherein it just wants to sleep.

Anything like… ringin’ a bell here? 

The shorthand explanation is that Chuck is the creator force of the universe(s) related to him, as part of the dream, and Amara is the destroyer force of the universe(s) related to her, but in essence they’re still dancing poles. When Chuck and Amara took their leave, they made a balanced caduceus towards the heavens, a legendary sign of balance that would later become relevant in all of the hermetic STUFF going on, especially in season 14.

God is a writer. The shadow – in theory, unless they swing way far left all of a sudden – is a dreamer past them, the thoughts of the nothing in which we all reside. People may consider this somehow underwhelming, “it was all a dream,” but it’s a great step beyond that and it’s reductio ad absurdum to apply that, unless you only consider your entire life a dream – because this is a philosophy turned over by some of the greatest minds our academia banters back and forth to our day, banters the specifics of, entire elaborate philosophies and theologies are written around. Abraxas (though buckleming wasted that name on the late demonology corruption, and it has many names and forms) is the origin of Abracadabra – I speak therefore I am; it is similar, and yet in opposition to the alternate take, “Only what I dream is real, I know nothing of reality beyond what I know.” – the opposition of the idea of a divine force compelling you, versus being the center of your own active dream you take into your control.

How far TPTB take this line of philosophy is hard to say, but they’re definitely popping some wheelies around with the idea right now.  

God had fun with his control, his story, his entertainment, until the free will inserted into the universe beyond his control reached a pinnacle where they no longer followed his orders, or went without question; wherein they looked him in the face and tried to take him down. The story, then, ceases to be fun. It is no longer of value. Rather, his entertainment comes in the ways of old with each major rebellion: the fire and brimstone of the past, putting a new spin on the universe that is his sandbox, with or without Amara’s aid, who he may very well even be unified with despite not entirely being one with the Shadow of himself (and us.) After all, they caduceus spiraled their way out, who’s to say what became of them on that road trip, and what balance was met. Amara’s, what, playing craps out in Reno? Sure. But writers lie. 

Team Free Will are the ouroboros that has broken its chain, becoming the brazen serpent that climbs the cross/tree it would have been crucified on in a journey towards the peak of existence and enlightenment, standing toe to toe with what seems to be the crown, and the skies grow dark until they can tackle, and own that. Until they take full, true, and total control of their experience to the godhood, and really, truly, and ultimately rip up not just the ending and the rules, but whatever forces are dictating, rewriting, finding new amusement in their sufferages, feeding draft after draft of possible deaths or rewrites even to Death trying to keep the cosmic order, who herself is growing tired of the shenanigans.

It requires intention and a significant act of bravery: uncovering and arousing the enshrouded memories of your past. If you accept the invitation, they will rise up fully exposed. Now is your best opportunity to face them, forgive them, and move on once and for all. 

Position Meaning: Forgiveness, rejuvenation and healing, an acknowledgement and release of the past, a definitive decision, an altered view, an invitation from within, new purpose.

LADY J READING:

This current reading seems to tell me that there is a bit of conflict in your life at the moment with someone / something in particular. There might have been a sense of you feeling oppressed lately, perhaps by people that have treated you badly, either by their betraying you in some way or them not giving you a space to discuss your concerns to the point that you feel as though you’re on your own with no one to turn to. The path of this reading seems to indicate that all cards will revolve around this particular conflict. 

The root cause of it appears to be a sense of polarity that is keeping you at odds with whoever else is involved. I would say you seem to want one thing in particular, while the other party has goals for something wildly different, and that is causing discordance in your heart and mind. You’re not sure what to make of it and you’re trying to be wary, but it’s definitely pushing you into a position you don’t want to be in and no matter how much you try to think it over and figure things out, it doesn’t appear to be helping. It’s causing you a great deal of stress in the background, and finding a way to quiet your mind is next to impossible at the moment. The more you think about it, the more it hurts your head. But you can’t help it, nor is the increase in activity / responsibly around you helping either. You have no time to yourself to breathe, there’s just too much happening that you can’t quite get a grip on, and it’s overwhelming in its entirety. 

The Four of Cups is your most recent past, which hints at the fact that perhaps you’ve been in a bad state of mind until just recently. There was a great deal of heaviness in your heart, in your mind. You were constantly tired and exhausted and couldn’t quite see the point to anything, a downward spiral, so to speak; and with no strength nor will to break out of it. In that state, perhaps you were even imagining problems that weren’t actually there, further pummeling your peace of mind into the ground. But something has changed most recently that has brought you out of that troubled state. Clarity in a way, it seems, the dawning of a much needed epiphany that has snapped you out of your despair. The imagined concepts that have held you back in the past have shattered, whilst a new realization has prompted and fueled your drive and desire to change things. It’s brought you back to life in a way that indicates you’ve figured out what it is you really want, and you’ve figured out a new approach, a new means of how to reach it. Your mind is centered, and you’re ready. 

However, the future appears as a reversed Fountain card, which shows that perhaps you are too centered on achieving your goals that you’re going about it too intensely. The Fountain card at its core encourages one to let things flow, let life bring you where it should and do not control that which is beyond our means. However, the one drawn is reversed, which shows that you may be so focused on the possibility success that if - knock on wood - a failure does occur, you seem likely as though you would refuse to accept it, as distraught and disappointed as you’d be after all you’d done to guarantee that things would work out. There is a lot of fear associated with this, perhaps because failure would result in the potential of solitude on your part ( though that is a wild guess ). Regardless, the Fountain card wishes to advise you to take a step back and allow for the possibility that anything is possible - success, and failure. Attempting to control things as much as you would like to will bring you nowhere. Sometimes, it’s important to try your best, and in the end, if things don’t work out, accept it for what it is and allow yourself to just Be. If it’s meant for you, it will happen - you can’t force it, ever.

The way you see yourself at the moment seems to state that you’re in a bit of a depressed, somewhat anxious state right now, despite your determined intentions to achieve your goals. Your mind seems to be feeding your fears with a plethora of worst case scenarios, the potential of your plans falling through causing some severe anxiety that leaves you with absolutely zero peace of mind. It can’t stop, won’t stop. It’s too much, it’s overwhelming, a lot of your fears seem to be even not real. I wouldn’t say you’re overreacting, but I would say that these imagined fears are taking a lot out of you and only screwing things up even more. It’s turning into something of an emotional bomb where if it explodes, will leave absolute destruction in its aftermath. This card encourages you to please try to take a step back to breathe and try not to draw back into that cyclical state of despair. It only makes things worse. Please be kinder to yourself and try your best to calm your mind. That is the most important thin more then anything. It will help you, I promise. 

In connection to the Fountain card is the Moon card, which shows that other people seem to think you’re deluding yourself a bit :c You have your goals and you have the drive to achieve them, but the people around you feel that your goals are perhaps not quite realistic enough and you’re running from the truth. They seem to think you are impatient, a little bit unstable, and forcing the situation too much to be what you want it to be, even though it couldn’t be farther from the truth. I would imagine that the combination of all your most intense hopes and fears getting shoved into one bucket ( your mind ) is rapidly creating an illusion that is a little too ‘perfect’ to be real. It’s intense, and it’s severe, and you’re perhaps not taking the reality of certain things into consideration. The Moon invites you to stop running, look back over what the Truth is, and listen to what it says. No one can force you to do this, but if you wish to gain genuine knowledge that will benefit you, you will achieve it by allowing the Moon to illuminate the entire picture and showcase it for what it is - rather then leaving it all shrouded in mystery and imagination. 

Your hopes are showcased through the Strength card, which indicates that you’re hoping that by powering through as you have, being determined as you have - you will achieve your goals. You are trying to harness the fierceness that lays within you to achieve what you utmost desire. However, your most likely outcome, despite all of that – seems to be that you will finally come to terms with the Truth. The Hanged Man shows that you will have an epiphany of sorts, sooner rather then later. You will come to consider another perspective, you’ll be able to take a step back and look at things from another point of view; sacrificing your intense need for success so that you can allow room for clarity. It won’t be what you’re used to, and maybe not even something you’ll initially like as you’ve been fighting against it all this while. But it is what is needed - if only so that you are not shattered by the potential of the end results. You will achieve happiness eventually, but another kind that is different from what you currently want. You just need to be open to the possibility of it. 

The Bonus Cards that showed up in your reading are two: The Lovers and Judgement. These cards play an active role in the entire situation, and starting with the Lovers, it appears to be that the card is advising you that in all things to do with this situation, please always attempt to follow your heart. Follow your intuition, follow that which gives you peace. It feels like there’s a lot of high emotion running amok in terms of this conflict at the moment that your heart feels at war with your head. I think in terms of guidance, it only asks of you to stop thinking too much. Do what feels right for you, it will help calm the flurry of overwhelming emotions that trouble you so much. You need to trust yourself. Though it might not feel like the most convenient option at first, nor the best path to take in any sense of the word, it seems as though it may be for the best in the long run. Nothing best promotes inner harmony like listening to your own instincts and doing what is best for your inner peace, responsibility be damned. You have the choice – choose what feels best for You. 

Judgement as the final card invites you to do but just one thing: come to terms with your reality, and accept the truth when it comes. A lot of the conflict appears to come from emotions that were not reconciled in the past, and it requests that you put those old feelings to rest. You have yet to heal, and your holding tight to those old struggles is what clouds your judgement on how you are to proceed today. Let them go, and perhaps it will leave space for clarity to take place. Forgiveness is healing, forgiveness will help you make the decisions you need based on what is currently set before you, not on what has formerly concluded. It will give you the facts that you need so you know how best to proceed. It will invite you to not only look at things differently, but also change your current purpose; for the better. It will help promote inner piece for you, but only if you Let It.

FCGCT Commentary: We are moving from the mind, to the Heart… not the balancing of the two. The brain acts as a conduit while the heart processes. The mind conflicts with the Heart, and is the cause for imbalance, pain, fear, suffering and more. The mind… the ego, blocks the Heart, as it Edges God Out. Let go of the mind, and solely flow from the Heart, connected to the Unified Heart in Unity Consciousness.  Thoughts turn to feelings, and beliefs to to knowing. Belief systems are based in lies and only the heart knows the truth. Anything that does not bring joy is not real! Let go of wants and needs and move toward a paradigm grateful receiving.  We are moving into a paradigm of passion for co-creation in love everywhere present.  Wants, needs, and desires are EGO traits, true passion is expanding love into creation with pure intent and creation of New Earth energy. Desires turn to passion and must be in aligned intention of new earth = heart.  Change must be embraced, accepted, and allowed, as LOVE is the only frequency that will move forward.  Change is positive and with it comes expansion.  Allow change and embrace the energies pouring out from Mother of all Creation.

At this time, many light workers are experiencing a depth of angst and existential fatigue. This is due to the ego adopting a spiritual persona, attempting to do the work of an entire Universe, instead of surrender to a greater Divine plan.All too often, when nothing you do seems to work, it is the Universe helping you acknowledge that you may be attempting to do more than your fair share.

In the 5th dimension, more effort doesn’t equate to better results. Instead, the Universe works to help you align with your highest calling by asking you to open up space for the totality of your angelic support and spirit guides to work through you for the evolution of your being. This means, it is your job to simply put one foot in front of the other, while invoking your guides, angels, and animal totems to work through you and bringing to life the outcomes of your highest alignment. When expressed in this exact way, you are asking the Universe for help in creating outcomes and realities greater than what any one person can conjure, while leaving it open-ended for the Universe to bring you what is in your highest will, whether it matches the outcomes of your desire or not.

Just as if you hired a cleaning company to cleanse your home, you might have to wait a few days from the moment the cleaning service is booked to when they actually show up. If you were to get impatient and clean your house before the appointed time, how would they be able to serve you upon arrival? In the same way, it is understandable to put out requests to the Universe and if not getting immediate results, it is likely you will continue employing methods until your desired outcome appears. And yet, the simple request from the Universe to help bring to you the outcomes, circumstances, and synchronicities of your highest will is like setting an appointment for your cosmic cleaning crew to arrive. All you have to do is have faith in their arrival, even if it seems to be taking longer than expected.

Also know: the Universe is always creating realities to help you uncover and release outdated self-defeating beliefs. Therefore, if you carry a healthy amount of doubt or unworthiness, the Universe can seem surprisingly unresponsive, just to show you the limiting belief such evidence supports. Without doubt in the Divine Plan, and with open-ended intentions to allow your higher self to work through you in a space of surrendered joy, you won’t have to carry the burden of your life or even the weight of the world on your shoulders. Instead, the aspects of your Higher Self, manifested into form as angels and spirit guides, work through the doorway of an open heart to create on your behalf what no amount of effort or control can coerce.

The Angelic Kingdoms welcome your communication. They see your circumstances. They hear your prayers, and feel your pain. All the while assuring you, each and every dream, desire, wish, and prayer you’ve sent out will be fulfilled by the Earth Angel you’re becoming with divine help throughout each moment of your life. TAFSIR: Risale-i Nur: The Words Collection:The Tenth Word.Part 23

Just as the initial verses of about 20 suras state that the Resurrection’s truth is a most important and essential reality of creation, many other verses affirm and provide other evidence of the same truth. How can you even consider not believing in the Resurrection? Would it be as impossible and absurd as the denial of the sun and the claim of the non-existence of the universe that one would consider belief in the Resurrection false, which emerges like the sun from innumerable arguments and testimonies of a Book, even a verse of which has yielded numerous fruits in Islamic and cosmic sciences?

A sovereign sometimes sends his army into battle merely to prove the truth of one of his statements. Is it, then, even conceivable to contradict the truth of that most solemn and dignified sovereign’s innumerable words, promises, and threats? Is it possible that they should be false? This glorious sovereign (the Qur’an) has ruled, administered, and educated countless spirits, intellects, hearts and souls according to perfect righteousness and truth for more than 13 centuries. While one indication from it suffices to prove the Resurrection’s truth, it proves and demonstrates it with thousands of explicit proofs. So, what else can we say than that those who continue to deny this truth are worthy of and deserve punishment in Hellfire?

Furthermore, all Divine Pages or Scrolls and Sacred Books other than the Qur’an, each of which was addressed to a specific age and time, accept the truth of the Resurrection, which the Qur’an, addressing all times, explains and establishes in detail and with explicit arguments. Even their brief and sometimes allusive explanations affirm it so powerfully that they constitute a thousandfold signature of what the Qur’an teaches.

We include an argument drawn from the Treatise on Supplication. This brief argument, including the testimony of belief in the Last Day by the other pillars of belief, mainly belief in God’s Messengers and Books, is forceful and may suffice to end all doubt. In this supplication, we say:

O All-Compassionate Lord. I have understood from the instruction of Your noblest Messenger, upon him be peace and blessings, and the teaching of the wise Qur’an that all the DivineBooks and Prophets, primarily the Qur’anand Your noblest Messenger, unanimously assert and testify that the manifestationsof all Your Names of Majestyand Grace, Whose exemplary manifestations are observed throughout the universe, will continue to manifest themselves in eternityin a more splendid way; that Your gifts, the compassionate manifestations and specimens of which are experienced in this fleeting world, willendure in a more brilliant fashion in the Abodeof EternalBliss; and that those who are fond of them and who discern them in this brief worldly life with pleasure and seek them in love will accompany them to and through all eternity. 

Also, based on the countless proofs of their Prophethood, including their hundreds of evident miracles, and on the promises and threats that You reiterated in all the heavenly Pages or Scrolls and sacred Books; and relying on the dignity of Your Majesty and the dominion of Your Lordship, and on Your sacred Attributes and essential Qualities of Yours such as Power, Mercy, Beneficence, Wisdom, Majesty and Grace, Which require the Hereafter; and through their spiritual unveilings and observations, together with their convictions at the degree of certainty of knowledge and certainty of vision or observation, all of the Prophets with luminous spirits, including first and foremost God’s noblest Messenger, upon him be peace and blessings, the saints with illuminated hearts and the pure, saintly scholars with enlightened intellect—all of these give jinn and humankind the glad tidings of eternal happiness for the people of guidance, and warn that there is Hell for the misguided, while being the first to believe in the rewards and punishments to come.

O All-Powerful, O All-Wise! O All-Merciful and AllCompassion-ate; O All-Munificent One Who is absolutely True to His promises! O All-Overwhelming One of Majesty with Dignity, Grandeur, and Majesty! Failure to bring about the Resurrection would mean contradicting so many truthful friends of Yours. It would mean breaking Your vehemently repeated threats and promises, negating Your sacred Attributes and essential Qualities, and negating the definite requirements of the dominion of Your Lordship; it would mean rejecting the prayers and petitions for the Hereafter of Your innumerable servants whom You love, and who make themselves loved by You by confirming and obeying You. Undoubtedly You are exalted far above such a failure!

You are also exalted far above confirming the people of unbelief and misguidance in their rejection of the Resurrection, who through unbelief and disobedience, and by contradicting You in Your promises, insult Your Grandeur, attack the dignity of Your Majesty, offend the honor of Your Divinity and disparage your Lordship’s Compassion. I declare Your infinite Justice, Grace and Mercy to be absolutely free of such limitless ugliness and evil. We believe with all our power that these numerous truthful Messengers of Yours and hundreds of thousands of Prophets, pure, saintly scholars, and saints, who are heralds of Your dominion, are absolutely true in their testimony to Your eternal treasures of Mercy and Benevolence, and the extraordinarily exquisite manifestations of Your All-Beautiful Names in the world of permanence with certainty based on knowledge, and certainty based on vision, and certainty based on experience. They also believe and teach others by Your command that the greatest ray of Your Name, the Ultimate Truth, which is the origin, sun and preserver of all truths, is this greatest truth of Resurrection. 

O Lord, for the sake of their instruction and teaching, grant to us and our brothers and sisters perfected belief and a fair ending to our life, and that we may have some share of their intercession. Amin.
