cw: mentions of blood, gore, stalking, obsession, peverse and creepy reader, yander intendecies! implied fem reader but I tried to make it as gender neutral as possible!
MDNI – MINORS DO NOT INTERACT
*✧・゚: *✧・゚
Careless!Simon 'Ghost' Riley who knows yandere!reader is stalking him. he's a military man, he's gonna hear you creep and watch him outside of his window!
simon who knows your the dirty little thief who's been stealing his clothes, mostly boxers. simon who keeps all your stupid notes that you write for him, they're normally weird but sweet in a really, really creepy way.
'si! you looked so pretty in the shower today, played with myself while looking at your pretty cock today! from your secret admirer ♡' you would leave him with a lazy drawing of a heart on his bathroom mirror.
'hey my love, you're finally home...look at the little gift i sent you on your phone!' he cocks an eyebrow, this was different? no, corny heart? no, 'from your secret admirer'? no weird, perverted stuff? just a simple note? that made simon confused, sure - the notes you give him were perverse and weird and should've made anyone who read them feel hella uncomfortable but the fact you didn't write anything odd in this specific note seemed a whole lot more creepy than it normally does.
he shrugs and takes his phone out of his pocket, clicking on the random number notifcation, as per usual, from how many times you've texted him he should really save your number. his eyes widen to see a picture of you, without your usual mask. wait a minute, he remembers you! you're the medic at work.
he couldn't believe it, you!? but your one of the sweetest and innocent people he knows there, in fact maybe even the sweetest. always treating solider's with care. always comforting soliders if they are surfering emotionally or physically. always cheering people up. always having a bright smile on you're no matter how shit the situation is. always putting a smile on people's faces.
he takes a good look at you, sheesh you were so pretty, he's finished staring at your face for a good long while, his eyes shift to the other side of the photo. his eyes shoot wide open again to see you next to a dead body of a blonde woman. a large cut in the middle of her stomach while organs hang out of her. gory much!
he groans out of digust until - wait a minute! he recognises theml? oh yeah, it's the girl from last week, the one who tried to get his number. his wide eyes slowly turn shift back into normal and he smirks and laughs. replying to your messages with:
mylove🤍: Was this out of pure jealously?
you hear a ding in your pocket while trying to dispose of the body. you gasp to see a message from simon, everytime you texted him, he would never reply always leaving you on opened. you were surprised when he actually did reply! you clicked on the notifcation, taking you to your chats. you giggle and immediately you realize how formally he texts, how boring until you finally read it, guess he's just as sane as you.
you: yup
he snickers at your childish reply.
mylove🤍: You gonna do this everytime a girl flirts with me?
you: yup
mylove🤍: Guess I should let girls flirt with me more often then, hm?
your laughed at the text, does he seriously not care that your literally killing people out of pure jealously!? i guess not, he's literally saying he'll let girls flirt with him just so you can slaughter them later.
you: dont tell me u want me to kill more girls for u si?
mylove🤍: Is that not what I've just implied?
you bit your lip at that, your crush is willingly let you kill people for him, it's like your dream come true.
you: i guess ill have continue doing it then
mylove🤍: I guess so.
your heat dropped at the next message he sent you.
mylove🤍: Also did not think you would be the cute medic from work though.
shit!
you forgot to blur out your face...

Male reader who is Price's husband gets injured during a mission but doesn't tell anyone because he does not want to be a burden. So he fights through the mission with his injury. When the mission is over and the team is one their way to the heli, he collapses on top of Price and ends up needing life-saving surgery.
I don't know what's up with me and making the reader collapse 🤣
This turned out better than I expected 😌
John Price x Male!Reader [Angst&Fluff]
Warning; typical cod violence, mentions of stab wound/blood, reader pushes himself through the mission like a badass and a dummy, night is reader's codename, near-death experience, mentions of surgery
Masterlist.
Everything was going according to plan, which was a little unusual and should've put (M/n)'s mind in a state of alert.
The 141 had been given this mission, arriving was kinda easy since it was pitch black outside, but they had to walk their way to the main building where the hostages were. This was a sort of high-level mission, they will all be by themselves once they enter the building, seeing as the civilians had been placed strategically around the whole structure.
They had to split up and be able to handle themselves for this one.
The information given was quite accurate, an anonymous person gave out the specific room where the civilians would be that night, seeing as they change rooms every day, and on some particular days, the enemy had more guards than others. The information was too good, but they had to go through this, saving the hostages was their number one priority.
And now, with thermal cameras, each of them headed to the rooms as quietly as they could, reaching their respective doors and using the camera to read through the concrete how many people were inside. The five of them checked their rooms and got ready to breach.
They had to perform this ambush at the same time to prevent the enemy soldier from calling in more troops as a backup.
"In position," one by one announced, keeping a stiff position while waiting to activate the breaching explosive. The last one in place was (M/n), he got the room further than the rest, pretty much on the top floor before the rooftop, he was more secluded and separated than the rest of the team, which had proved plenty of times to be dangerous.
Arriving at the door, (M/n) saw through the thermal cam that there were six people inside. Two armed guards and four civilians were tied up. Every room was similar that day, with low security as they spread the hostages in many groups of two to three civilians.
Such a small amount of guards was like nothing for the 141.
"Breaching in 3... 2... 1," the collective sound of unison explosions probably reached the four-kilometer mark, and now, they had to move quickly before backup arrives.
(M/n) took out the guards like nothing as they were caught off-guard, their ears probably ringing from the loud explosion.
"Four hostages secure," he announced to the team as he approached the tied-up civilians and leaned down to free them, "It's okay, you're safe now."
But something was wrong, the four of them started squirming in their places, releasing loud noises muffled by the gags in their mouths. They were clearly trying to tell him something, frantically looking over his shoulder.
"Shit-!" Before (M/n) had time to react, the sharp pain of a blade piercing his side made him stumble, holding his side for a second before he gripped his gun with both hands to block a second incoming attack from his aggressor. He didn't even look like a guard, he was just a kid, not older than twenty years, yet the look in his eyes was filled with hunger for blood.
(M/n) didn't want to kill him, but even after knocking him to the ground, the boy kept fighting under his weight, and if he wanted to cause the less amount of inconvenience to the team, he was gonna have to do it.
He glanced over his shoulder at the civilians who were half tied, half free, "Don't look-!" His yell got cut off when he felt a slash on his chest, just above his vest. The four people behind him did as told, closing their eyes and turning away.
Grunting, (M/n) kept his gun pressed on the boy's chest, dodging the aggressive and unpredictable movements of his hands to avoid being cut more, and reaching for his combat knife, taking it out of its holder, and with one swift arm motion had the boy under him choking on his blood, his body no longer putting up a fight, his knife buried deep in his throat.
Sighing, (M/n) stood up, placing his hand on the wall to hold himself up, feeling the whole world spinning, but he couldn't be weak right now, and even if he had a bleeding wound, he couldn't inconvenience the rest of the team, making them come up to him would only take more time than what they already have. And that could be fatal.
//////
After the breaching, they had a limited amount of time for the evacuation, and (M/n) has taken longer than he should've.
Taking the hostages out was proving to be harder than anything.
After hearing one of them shriek as a bullet hit the concrete wall, (M/n) gave them specific instructions to stay behind him or stay low and hide behind anything that could cover their body and block the bullets. They did as they were instructed, too scared about dying to even make their own decisions.
(M/n) struggled to take the civilians to the ground floor since most of the enemy troops were coming in from the rooftop, making him the one that was shooting most of them.
Thankfully, Ghost had been the first to have secured his group of civilians and had secured a safe spot for sniping to provide (M/n) some backup as he evacuated the building. (M/n) felt a little more relieved when he saw their bodies falling one after the other, taking the chance to guide the civilians down the stairs and out of the building.
He ran to the safe building while Price joined Ghost, now two snipers watching his back as he tried to regain enough energy to run the building where the team was.
The first evacuation helicopter took off with the civilians and they had to take the second one, patiently for (M/n) to arrive at the rooftop.
Even though his sight was blurry, (M/n) saw his husband walk up to him, and blinking a few times, he saw a small smile pull Price's lips up. He was happy that (M/n) was still alive and kicking ass as always. (M/n) show him a weak smile back, taking a wobbly step forward, before seeing black.
His body collapsed on Price, who held him internally freaking out.
"(M/n)! Honey, what hap-?!" His voice cut off when his hand came in contact with something warm and thick. Blood. "Bloody hell!"
The rest of the team rushed to their captain immediately, helping him carry (M/n)'s unconscious body as quickly as they could to the helicopter. Poor pilot, she got scared when she got yelled at, being told to fly to base as fast she could, because Lieutenant Night was in critical condition.
//////
Price was sitting outside the surgery room they had in the infirmary. He wasn't crying just yet, but his mind kept going over the doctor's words.
"He might not make it, Captain."
John has always been a man who sees in someone what others don't, and where other military personnel saw (M/n) as reckless and mindless, he saw him as someone who worried about his teammates over himself, someone who had courage as hard as a wall of tungsten metal. More than once he has risked his life to save others, and he felt proud of that, despite having been called a liability most of his life by his superiors.
So John knew, (M/n) had overcome stuff like this before, every time getting closer to never waking up again, but he would not give up that small spark of hope. His husband was gonna live, he was sure about.
For hours, Price sat on one of those uncomfortable plastic chairs, but at some point, he didn't care anymore, his mind far gone to every happy memory he made with (M/n). They met in SAS when John had just become Lieutenant and (M/n) was a kid who had lost everything, finding comfort in the military.
Working together brought them closer, falling in love in mere months. They dated secretly for years until (M/n) got kicked out of the SAS, the higher-ups covering it as a transfer, calling him a 'reckless man In need of discipline'. Well, it turns out Price had asked for his transfer to the first team he commanded as captain, and from then on, they had been together every step of the way.
They had been married for six years already, dating for ten years, but every time they looked at each other they felt that spark of the first time. None of them could ever forget that.
Those moments made them feel like they could do anything, overcome any obstacle if they were together, feeling like the world was a little more peaceful when in each other's presence.
Price didn't wanna think of a life where (M/n) wasn't part of it. And luckily, he didn't have to.
After hours, the surgeon came out of the room, taking off his gloves, face mask, and robe, a smile on his face was enough to make Price's eyes prick with tears.
"The surgery was a success, Captain, he should wake up in a couple of hours," Price let out a loud, long sigh, his arms resting on his knees as he leaned forward, holding his head in his hand.
He stood up and extended his hand to the surgeon, "Thank you, sir, I owe you."
The man simply smiled and turned to head to the door.
"I'm just doing my job, Captain."
//////
By the time (M/n) opened his eyes it was almost midday, not that he knew anyway. His eyes squinted at the pain he felt all over his body, and he saw Price on the chair next to his bed, patiently waiting for him to gain full consciousness.
Well, here comes the scolding...
"Don't do that ever again, you hear me?" He said while standing up, leaning down to gently hug him, holding (M/n) close to him, and crying on his chest, "I was so afraid of losing you, honey."
He didn't have to ask (M/n) why hadn't said anything about being injured, he knew the way his husband thought about himself. 'I'll just be a burden to the team, John,' he would repeat every time something happened.
But this time was different. Price realized he could've lost (M/n) because of him not letting them know he was wounded, and tears were brought to (M/n)'s eyes when realized he almost left John all alone.
John looked up and held (M/n)'s left hand with his left hand, their marriage rings clicking together.
"In sickness and in health, remember?"

howdy!! hope you're having a lovely day! may i request ticci toby and any other creeps of your choosing reacting to someone harming their s/o? thank you in advance!
a/n: hi!! thanks for sending the request!! hope you enjoy <3
reacting to someone hurting their gn!s/o.
includes: toby, nurse ann, homicidal liu + sully [separate], the bloody painter, and laughing jill.
warnings: reader gets injured, murder, blood, the murder isn't detailed but some of them may be a little graphic maybe, near-death experiences, it's implied that the reader doesn't know helen kills people.
Tumblr media
TICCI TOBY.
He would not be a happy camper, that's for sure.
Toby has already had so much taken away from him, so if someone were to try and take away the one person he allowed himself to love? Yeah, no, not happening.
Toby has taken so many lives he doesn't even know the exact number, and he doesn't normally draw out their death unless it's something Slender wants him to do.
But seeing you passed out on the ground because some sick fuck decided to take their anger out on you... it brought Toby back to darker days, and all he could think about was eliminating the danger to keep you safe.
And let me tell you, Toby draws out your attacker's death. They hurt you, so therefore they deserve every ounce of pain he gives them.
Honestly, if he could, he'd probably keep the person alive over the course of weeks just to get it through their head just how badly they fucked up deciding to hurt you, but he needed to get you help as soon as possible so he leaves your attacker to bleed out.
Once the anger he feels subsides, it'll be replaced by panic and guilt as he rushes you to the nearest place you can receive medical attention, be it the mansion or the hospital.
He won't feel better until you wake up, and even after, this situation will definitely cause him to become a bit paranoid over your safety. He really can't lose you. That's not a pain he can go through again.
It'll probably take you weeks, maybe even months, to reassure Toby that you were okay.
This situation will definitely make him more aware of your safety. If he's not off completing tasks for Slender, he's keeping an eye on you. He's not trying to be clingy or overbearing, he just doesn't want to see you covered in your own blood ever again.
NURSE ANN.
Ann can't remember anything that happened before her death and... proxification, but she does know that you've been by her side through the entire process. You're one of the very small handful of people she trusts and likes, so there was no way she'd let anyone take you away from her.
So when she sees you on the ground, bloodied and bruised because some dumb group of wanna-be urban explorers she was hunting down freaked out thinking you were her? Well, let's just say there's nothing that can calm Ann's burning rage at that moment.
Not only have these people trespassed into her hospital, but they also dare to hurt the love of her life as well? There's no fucking way she'll show them mercy now.
You're barely clinging onto consciousness as you watch your girlfriend mercilessly slaughter the people who dared to even put you in such a state. It's not because you wanted to watch, you were just too exhausted and in far too much pain to look away.
The amount of blood alone was nauseating, and at some point, you couldn't even tell what color the floor was anymore.
But once Ann has dealt with the intruders, she'll oh so gently pick you up from the ground and carry you to the nearest (and cleanest) hospital room so she can treat your wounds.
Ann doesn't speak much, but you can hear her softly apologizing to you as she takes care of you. She tries her best to be careful, not wanting to make the pain worse than it already is. She doesn't feel as if this is her fault, she knows it isn't, but she still can't help but feel bad.
This experience will definitely make her realize just how much she cares for you. It's a little scary, to be quite honest with you. It's weird being attached to someone.
She isn't going to become overbearing when it comes to your safety, but she'll definitely be more careful about hunting down trespassers if she knows you're in the area.
Don't worry, a situation like this will never happen again.
HOMICIDAL LIU.
Oh. Oh boy, what have you done?
Liu is, as we all know, not the type of person to take another's life in cold blood. He only hurts others when it is self-defense because he doesn't want to be anything like his brother.
But keep in mind that Liu is also very protective and he has a lot of pent-up anger (among a variety of other emotions) that he keeps under tight wraps. So, believe me when I tell you that you really do not want to be on the receiving end of that anger.
Unfortunately, some sad soul was completely unaware of this and decided to hurt you.
Now, for Liu, he honestly blacked out the moment he saw you bleeding out on the ground. You, however, witnessed the carnage that was about to take place. Honestly, for a moment, you thought that Sully had taken over because of how violent it got. But no, it was all Liu.
Liu doesn't make quick work of this. No, by the time he came out of whatever stupor of anger he got put in, he was drenched in blood, and the person he killed didn't even look like a person anymore.
He didn't use his gun. He used Sully's knife. You've never seen him use a knife before. He always avoided them, he only ever used guns. But he used a knife. He broke the fucking knife.
Right. Well. You'll just have to sit him down and discuss what transpired later. Preferably when you aren't bleeding out. Luckily for you, Liu has taught himself medical care. He's pretty damn good at treating wounds like this as well, so you're in really good hands.
Just... keep pressure on the wound for a moment while he quickly washes off all the blood on his hands.
You'll be okay. He'll make sure of it. He won't lose you.
SULLY.
Now, I bet you're expecting me to tell you that Sully would also go absolutely ham on the person who hurts you. No. He doesn't. Unlike Liu, he doesn't become overcome with pent-up rage.
He does get angry, don't get me wrong, but that anger isn't important. You're hurt, and you need immediate assistance, so Sully doesn't even spare the person a glance as he pulls out Liu's gun and shoots them in the head.
Sully is... less good at treating wounds. He tries his best whenever he sustains an injury, but Liu is always the one who has to take care of it.
But he does know where a certain eyeless man tends to lurk around, so he won't waste any time taking you to get treatment from him.
He'll keep the conversation topic light as you get treated, joking around with you and talking about anything and nothing at the same time. It keeps a smile on your face, and it keeps you distracted from the pain you're in.
It also keeps Sully distracted from the fact that his hands are shaking.
For a moment, he's not really sure why he's shaking so much. You're safe, and you're getting treated. It's only when you knock out after taking some pain meds that Sully finally realizes that he was scared.
You could've died, realistically. You probably would've if he hadn't been there.
He's never been so close to losing someone before. The thought alone was making his stomach churn. He's... he's never felt scared like this before.
This is probably when he realizes that he loves you.
THE BLOODY PAINTER.
Now, Helen isn't the most emotionally expressive person out there. Just one quick glance at his default expression and you'll come to the conclusion that he's a pretty apathetic person.
But you know him. You've learned how to identify his microexpressions. He had dropped by your place and walked in to see you treating a pretty bad cut on your arm. It was just a very slight shift in his expression, one that only lasted for a fraction of a second, but you could see the worry and the underlying anger.
It's actually pretty awkward as you explain to him what happened, going into detail about how some guy had just randomly decided to attack you when you were in town today.
Helen seemed to be taking in every detail you provided, and when he finally spoke up, it was to ask if you could describe the guy for him.
You had just assumed he was going to sketch the guy's face to give it to the police or something, so you didn't see any real issue with telling Helen, doing your best to describe what the guy looked like. You were honestly over the entire situation. The cut on your arm was bandaged and it didn't hurt much anymore.
The situation ended there for you. It was never brought up again, and Helen stayed the night to help you with anything that may be an inconvenience to do with an injured arm. It was sweet seeing him worried for you, if you're being honest.
It may take a few days, but Helen eventually did track down the person who had hurt you.
He treats them like any other victim, though it's obvious to authorities that this person had a particularly cruel death.
There is nothing tragically beautiful about this person's death. It is not a piece of art like all the other deaths were made out to be. This one still had their blood.
Honestly, their death feels so out of place for the case of the Bloody Painter that authorities are hesitant to consider this another one of his victims. It could be a dispute that led to murder, and in a panic was staged to make it look like a serial killer did it.
And you stay oblivious to this, none the wiser.
LAUGHING JILL.
Look, Jill truly felt as if she would never experience happiness ever again until you came into her life and made her realize that she can still feel such a thing.
You've basically become a source of joy for her, so there was no way in hell she'd ever let that go.
And when someone hurts you? When someone makes your face screw up in pain? It's an image that Jill never wanted to see. She's already lost someone close to her, stolen away from her by a monster. She can't lose you too. She just can't.
She also makes quick work of whoever hurt you, slicing them with her chainsaw once or twice before tossing it to the side and hurrying over to you.
You'll have to reassure her that you're okay as she lets you use her as a pillar of support. Even if you aren't okay, you need to reassure her that you are.
Jill doesn't know how to treat your wounds, something that will definitely change in the future once you're able to get actual treatment.
Honestly, she'll probably burst into tears and apologize profusely even though you getting hurt wasn't her fault. She still should've been there by your side. If she had been, you wouldn't have gotten hurt in the first place.
She'll definitely be hyperaware of anyone who comes near you now. It doesn't matter if it's someone you're close to or if it's a complete and total stranger.
She'll immediately tense up and view them as a threat, sticking close to you just in case something happens.
It'll take months, maybe even years for her to move past this.

why did Justin fall for Brian?
Ahhh, I love this question because I feel like it is more complicated than answering why Brian fell for Justin but I’ll give it my best shot.
After their first night together when Justin says he is in love with Brian I think he has a naive understanding of what love is at that point. He is infatuated with this handsome, confident, wealthy guy who took him home, let him join at the hospital during one of the biggest nights of his life, and then gently took his virginity. I really like that all the way in season 4 Justin says they made love that first night and when Brian disputes it he says "It was love to me." Even if it was infatuation, Justin is right, that night, that moment, that whole experience was love to him.
Tumblr media
Despite not being able to remember his name, Brian made Justin feel like he was the center of his world that night and Justin had never experienced that before. I think it’s that initial spark that pushes Justin to be so resilient and keep seeking Brian out. I mean how do you get over a man who says "you can see me in your dreams." !!!
Tumblr media
Later on I think Justin falls in love with what Brian represents. Brian is freedom incarnate; he will say anything, do anything etc. When the audience meets Justin he is entrenched in his rebellious teen phase. Don't forget that Justin is 17 running around all night. He is the kid who told his teacher to fuck off, told his mom that he likes dick, and in an absolutely iconic statement after his dad threatens to send him to military school to learn some discipline replies with "I know all about discipline and you should see me take it like a man."
Tumblr media
In many ways, Brian is in the same place emotionally as Justin in season 1. He is chasing his youth. He is angry at the world, he likes being an outsider in society and he revels in it. He doesn't care about driving around in a vandalized car painted with the word “faggot." I mean for goodness sake Brian drove through a fucking car dealership because the seller said something mildly homophobic. Justin finds Brian's fuck you attitude ridiculously attractive. The persona of Brian no excuses, no apologies, no regrets Kinney is Justin's first love.
Tumblr media
But over the course of the first season, Justin's understanding of love and his understanding of Brian both develop. Justin is suddenly dropped into this very adult world that is different from his WASPy upbringing with two parents who have fallen out of love with each other. Justin has adult friends for the first time and he gets to see how Melanie and Lindsay love each other. How Michael and Brian love each other and Ted and Emmett and how Debbie as the matriarch loves and cares for all of them. I think he comes to the mature idea that you don’t just fall in love with someone and everything is fine, you decide to love someone and then you hold on to that decision and make lot of little decisions in order to keep loving them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the first season while Brian struggles with himself and his love for Justin, he keeps hurting Justin in an effort to push him away. He tells him not to trust people, he flaunts his tricks in front of Justin, he is downright mean to him at times. I love this scene in 1x17 when Justin tells Brian “Being mean to me has never really worked, you should try another tactic.” He is telling Brian that he’s got his number and that can’t get rid of him that easily. He then says “I’m killing you with kindness.” From the start, I think Justin saw through Brian’s bluster and just dug down until he could see the scared boy behind the walls Brian built around himself.
Tumblr media
I honestly don’t think anyone else in the show understood Brian as much as Justin. Justin notices all of the little ways that Brian sacrifices himself to help his friends and others. Brian has a reputation for being selfish, but Justin peels back the layers and sees how Brian uses that assumption as cover.
And while Justin does eventually lose his infatuation, he still loves Brian because he already made a decision to love him and to love him for the man he is and not for everything he represents to him. Brian is no longer a symbol to him but a human being with significant flaws and insecurities. This is where I see a massive difference between Michael’s love for Brian and Justin’s love for him. Michael idealized Brian but never got over his hero worshipping crush. Anytime Brian acted outside of how Michael expected him to he was overly upset and confused. While Brian obviously hurt Justin’s feelings sometimes and they misunderstood each other at inopportune moments, overall Justin was able to accept and love Brian as a person not a persona.
Another one of my favorite scenes is in 1x11 after Michael’s birthday party and everyone else abandons Brian but Justin just says “I guess you’re going to need someone to help you clean up this mess.” As an audience, it’s one of our first indications that Justin really gets Brian. Although everyone else thinks he is an asshole, Justin knows what his true intentions were. I also like the use of the word mess in this scene. He is not just talking about the party leftovers but everything. It is also a small little commitment. Justin isn't going anywhere, he is going to love Brian even when it’s messy and difficult.
Tumblr media
Of course, if I'm arguing that Justin made an active decision to love Brian that begs the question why did he leave him in season 2? I don’t think Justin ever fell out of love with Brian. Even in the cheating era I don’t think either of them stopped loving each other. Justin was very hurt and he wanted to see what life was like with someone who was deliberate about showing and stating their love for him unlike Brian. Obviously, Justin shouldn’t have betrayed Brian by cheating but I don’t blame him for wanting something else, nor do I blame Brian for not being able to give Justin what he needed at that time. I think Justin was so shocked by Ethan’s betrayal again because he is a bit naive and did not realize that someone can say they love you 10 times a day but not mean it the way you want them to. On the other hand, although Brian couldn’t let himself say it he showed Justin in every way he knew how that he was important to him and he cared about him. Also, one more reminder that Brian NEVER broke their rules and I think Justin knew that and realized that was what he wanted way more than someone who spoke the right words but didn't follow through with real action.
Tumblr media
TL;DR Justin fell in love with Brian over and over for so many different reasons. Because he was sensitive and gentle, because he made Justin feel important, because he represented Justin's anger, rebelliousness, and the freedom he desired, because he loved Justin unconditionally even when it was messy and difficult.

How would you rank each yandere Team Bucciarati member from least to most terrifying to be considered a rival marked for death by?
This is based on my opinion, but the top two are definitely tied in terms of how scary it is because it really depends on what you find worse. I personally find it way scarier to think about a sudden violent death than one that's still going to be violent, but has you waiting for the shoe to drop. One of those you at least get to steel yourself for, and prepare mentally to die. The other one just happens. Way scarier, at least to me.
Also some of the guys on this list (MISTA) are the absolute worst to be marked as a rival for, but death itself isn't that bad. So when you asked for death specifically, I just focused on the aspect of dying.
That said, I hope you enjoy~!

Leone is the least dangerous by far. He is still a force to be reckoned with, but he's the least dangerous because he hardly ever feels insecure enough to kill someone else for you. It's like that statistic on how cows kill more people than sharks a year: that number would change drastically if people waded waist-deep in the water with a bunch of sharks and poked them with a stick for hours every day.
Leone will bribe, blackmail, intimidate, and steal from anyone that catches him stalking you and intends to inform you--- If he's doing it right, you'd never know you've been tailed until you die. But if someone catches him watching you, or worse: A stand user discovered him stalking you because he was using Moody Blues, and insisted to do the right thing by telling you, then Leone would have to kill them. Before they can tell you.
The best option for a surprise attack like this would be a gun, but there's no guarantee that will work. And Moody Blues isn't a combat stand. Leone will taunt and beat them up just enough to entice them to chase after him as he runs away instead of telling you about the stalker.
It's cowardly, but so is killing someone after getting caught peeping. Leone takes zero pride in luring them into alleyways; with lower-rank thugs in passione that will gang up on the rival with enough "persuasive" blackmail and bribes Leones gives them in advance. If a group won't overwhelm them, it at least gives Leone enough time to call for backup from a more combat-oriented stand user like Narancia or Mista, and study how his rival's stand works.
They won't be walking out of that alley alive that night. Leone's taken too many precautions to get caught like this.
++++
Mista is scary to be a rival of, but being marked for death is a blessing.
Mista isn't above torturing or kicking the shit out of people who really overstep their boundaries; like if they try to pick on you the same way he does. And he'll make his displeasure known. Dickheads usually back off if a guy who's clearly carrying drapes himself over their target, staking his claim with a little PDA. If they want to press the issue further, Mista will gladly take the time for some entertainment.
Mista likes taking a little time in torturing someone; get a little creative with glass shards shoved under fingernails and into the roof of their mouth-- at an angle so there's no chance of the little shards being plucked out easily. And there's something to be said in using someone's teeth to open beer bottles and stubborn pop can tabs for him, even if it means their teeth chip or they cut their gums. And usually, one night of this means you won't have to worry about them anymore. People rarely come back for seconds of Guido's sadism.
But, under rare circumstances, there comes a time when Mista can't just let someone keep meddling anymore. And kicking their ass three times didn't work... So he's gonna light 'em up.
It's not like he didn't give them a fair warning. Mista won't make it as impersonal as a drive-by, as much as the idea of being the cool guy is, he could be cooler if he delivered a kickass one-liner while breaking their back over his knee. Or said something badass as he shoves his gun's muzzle into their mouth, something Brad Pitt or Nic Cage would say to a low-time villain in an action movie, right before blowing their brains out. If the one-liner ain't cool... Then he'll just say a better one after they've died. No one will know but him, anyways.
+++
Bruno can and will make their death public. He's already been shown to torture people on the bus and no one will say a fucking thing, and he knows that making an example by killing someone will serve as a good warning to others. Granted, Bruno will fudge a bit of the story...
He's not killing them because he likes you and they're someone you're interested in! Bruno is killing them because they stole millions of dollars from the city, acted as a money mule for a more violent organization that doesn't have this town's best interest at heart, and also just so happened to almost kill a civilian who made their payments on time because they wanted to sleep with them! This guy is the scum of the earth, even for a thug!
During their fight, Bruno will spit out these phrases that allow the audience to piece together the (fake) story on their own. Bruno is once again being a good guy doing bad things, and he's selflessly fighting against a more dangerous thug to keep everyone safe-- including that poor victim of molestation and near rape! Which, for his story to work, has to be you.
Bruno knows that he can only get away with so much, however. Torturing someone to death is fine, and he's done so before. But this story needs to have him being the righteous hero for you. Ripping them apart with his stand isn't the way to do this-- at least not in a way anyone can see. He'll use sticky fingers to unzip the internal organs inside of their body, letting them die in a way that mimics being beaten to death. Less blood spray means people won't panic as much, which makes him look better in the eyes of the people while scaring the shit out of future would-be rivals.
The public humiliation aspect of their death is horrifying; imagine being brutally beaten to death in public, and all the people who should be helping you are just watching, some with a sadistic glint in their eyes because you "deserve" this.
++++
Fugo is the scariest member, depending on what you'd find scarier: Certain death that you know is coming, and you just can't tell when it's going to happen... Or just a sudden violent death, like an aneurysm, with no idea what you did wrong. If you're more afraid of the anticipation of dying, knowing it's coming, yet unable to do anything about it but wait... Then Fugo is by far the scariest yandere of the gang to be marked for death.
Pannacotta is possessive, and on a hair trigger for violent outbursts, so he's scary to be around even if you aren't a rival marked for death. It's only worse because even before getting into range, Fugos stares them down with a look that only means whatever he wants to do is premeditated.
He won't bring out purple haze unless he's picked a fight with someone way stronger than him-- his stand could kill him too. Beating the fuck out of them the old-fashioned way is going to have to do. And it's not like he can't fight on his own. Fugo uses anything in reach to bludgeon or stab at them.
It's animalistic. Every hit or scratch Fugo gets back as he's caving their ribs in enrages him, triggering an animalistic need to kill. He tries to sit on top of their broken ribs, hoping his weight is enough to keep them pinned to the ground as he
There's no planning. If he's lucky enough to tail or lure them into somewhere secluded, it's obviously better, but if it's public, then it's public. People know better than to try to pry someone in the middle of a fight off each other-- at least if they're known members of Bruno Bucellatis's gang, and by implication: the mafia. Everyone smart will mind their own fucking business and get the fuck out. The only people stupid enough to intervene are tourists, that quickly get roped into the carnage when they grab Fugo's shoulder to pull him off the other corpse, only to wind up bludgeoned too.
+++++
If we're talking about how scary it is for a guy to just charge at you like a rabid dog with zero regard for his own safety or pain so long as he kills you, then Narancia is definitely up top in terms of fear factor.
The level of certainty in being hunted by Narancia is terrifying. You will not survive. You won't even last an hour-- once he gets it in his head that you're a nuisance to him or his darling, he is going to hunt you down. Using his stand to spray the streets with bullets, going up to random people and slamming them into walls or kicking them to the ground to see if they're who he's looking for, starting fires to smoke them out of buildings or die in the burning rubble.
Narancia at the very least has to be provoked into killing someone, so that does put a damper on how scary he is... And unlike provoking Fugo, its easier to tell if you're going to get yourself killed. Narancia isn't going to kill someone for talking to his darling, or trying to hang out with them when he's not around (because that's easy: He'll just tag along).
But that doesn't make it any less scary because if Narancia decides you're going to die, it's something he does right away. There is no warning, no way to mentally prepare yourself. It just starts. Narancia is hunting them down, screaming and swearing as he pounds himself against any doors or walls in the way, slashing wildly with his switchblade, spraying the streets with bullets, setting fires, and trying to bite them-- and they're probably not going to know why he wants to kill them suddenly, because the inciting incident maybe warrants a punch in the face, not a knife in their kneecaps while Narancia fucking bites their nose off, and slashes across their chest with his other switchblade in front of everyone, promising to slice them small enough to cram down a toilet and piss on.
Narancia is the scariest because there is no restraint. If he's killing you, it's violent and erratic.

wot rewatch 1x4: the dragon reborn
spoilers for s1 of the show plus the s2 teasers and trailers, plus through The Dragon Reborn ish in the books. And one casting spoiler for S3.
I really do love the cold opens. This one tells us so much! We're introduced to Logain but we're also introduced to the corruption on saidin, to how much power can be wielded by users of the One Power, and to how the corruption can both influence someone but Logain still has the choice of whether or not to listen to the voices talking to him.
We see the madness in Logain but also his own strength of character and ability to show mercy even when he's hearing whispers that he should just kill those opposed to him. Great preview of the future for Rand. Especially since Moiraine is going to later on believe that Logain hearing the voices of 'the previous Dragon' to be a sign that he isn't the Dragon Reborn, but it's another thing that she's got her wishful thinking goggles on for.
"There's a place for anyone at my side, even my enemies." ; "The last Dragon broke the world; I plan to bind it." I feel like we're seeing the seeds of some of the choices that Rand will also make in the future here, already being set up (the benefits of being able to tell the story knowing the ending). Logain understands the assignment... he's just not the actual rebirth of the last Dragon.
So we go from Logain at the height of his strength to Nynaeve looking over the camp where he's captured. Having the Greens join the Reds on this hunt makes a lot of sense -- we know that this specific one was requested for by the White Tower, and we can see the difference between this approved hunt to take down a false Dragon (where he gets shielded and put in a cage to stand trial back in Tar Valon) vs the Red-only "gentle ASAP" approach from the cold open of the first episode. Authorized vs unauthorized hunts.
It makes a ton of logistical sense for them to scale down the number of people required to hold the shield on Logain. Just from a 'how many characters we're going to have in this scene' standpoint. Jordan could have as many characters in a scene as he wanted, because he didn't need to have any actors playing them. Plus, this way, we can focus more on the characters that do exist and really get to know them better.
So we already have two factions set up -- Kerene supporting the Amyrlin and Tower Law, and Liandrin arguing that they have the right to administer 'field justice'. Will the fault line of the coup fall along similar lines? I also think it was a good idea to have the Vileness currently happening rather than having happened in the past.
I love all the insights we get in these episodes about Warders, and Warders having their own subculture within the White Tower. And the fun confirmation that Moiraine and Lan are Just Like That and are closed off even to other Aes Sedai and Warders.
Also love all the Lan & Nynaeve build-up that we get as well. <3 a lot of good bonding time and banter and I love that she just clicks with the Warders.
The time that Egwene and Perrin spend with Aram & co is very lovely and charming. Removing Elyas from the equation and putting the hesitation on Perrin was a good move, because it lets the Tuatha'an explain themselves rather than having them explained by an outsider who disapproves of their ways.
Everything about Rand and Mat's roadtrip with Thom is so great. 10/10 would have loved another episode of it but since Amazon didn't let them have one, I do think they did a great job of boiling the trip down to both the narrative and emotional essentials. It really does make me curious about how Thom will be weaved back into the story because he only has connections to three characters now (I'm assuming the backstory with Elayne is intact), rather than knowing the whole troupe, so it feels like it needs to be Rand or Mat that bring him back into the story, but we'll have passed the canon moments when that happens.
There is so much useful lore information in Alanna and Moiraine's convo that show haters just flat-out ignored because it didn't fit their narratives - Alanna straight-up talks about not being able to see Logain's weaves!
Protective!Rand really begins to peek out in this episode, even here at the start with the farmer but more and more as Mat gets worse. Also poor Rand and Mat are covered in mud.
13. Mat and bonding with little girls! If we do get Olver, I hope we get a young girl instead of a boy, to keep on theme. And Birgitte namedrop, still exciting to hear.
14. Last episode, Thom bonded with Mat and, this episode, he bonds with Rand (over concern about Mat). Thom also helpfully puts the idea into Rand's head that Mat has 'all the signs' of being a male channeler, accidentally enabling Rand's massive case of denial that lasts until Moiraine heals Mat and tells them it was the dagger causing his issues. Oh, Thom's story is so heartbreaking here. And Thom promises here to try to keep the two of them safe, and away from Aes Sedai. Really really curious how this setup will play out when Thom returns in s3.
15. Nynaeve getting through her moment of poly confusion now is a great little moment of setup for the viewers too -- showing that this can be acknowledged as a valid relationship in this world. And we will maybe get a hint about Aiel culture next season as well.
16. Poor Moiraine and her pangs of uncertainty over Logain. Uncertainty that will only grow once Nynaeve's power is revealed.
17. Last episode, it was Rand's turn to remind us about his relationship with Egwene -- this episode, it's Egwene's turn, during her private conversation with Aram. I do love Egwene falling into a new culture and immediately finding things about it to love and appreciate. And Perrin is taking the Tuatha'an more seriously than in the books, because it's so much more grounded in the reality and the faith of their world and culture.
18. Rand trying to comfort and reassure Mat, I'm fine. Totally fine. Not emotional at all. And even before they know that the Fade is there in the farmhouse, Thom and Rand are just wanting to get Mat out and safe. Thom is ride or die for these kids after knowing them for a handful of days.
19. Nynaeve is SO curious about Lan and so hesitant to admit to it. You are not intruding! He already has a big crush on you! It's such a lovely moment between them.
20. Moiraine taking advantage of the attack to interrogate Logain... Lirandrin taking advantage of the battle as a reason to justify gentling Logain... they get to be shadows and mirrors of each other too. (Did Liandrin let her part of the shield drop to try to manufacture an excuse, once she realized that his army was attacking or was it just her genuinely taking advantage of an unexpected opportunity once she's able? If Liandrin is being sincere then that lends weight to the speculation that she isn't Black Ajah yet and we'll see her wooed into it over the early parts of S2)
21. I do think it was, again, very smart of the show to actually show us the effects of an Aes Sedai and Warder's bond being severed before it happens to any main characters. And we actually get to see Greens being the Battle Ajah here too.
22. Nynaeve's power burst here really creates another point of uncertainty for Moiraine about the identity of the Dragon Reborn. If Nynaeve is stronger than Egwene, then Egwene cannot be the Dragon. But Nynaeve is too old to fit the prophecy. So now Moiraine has some thinking to do.

just discussing PvP and the issues people r having with Blue hiding !! tagged discourse and crit to be safe but it isn't intentioned with either it's just me rambling
Okay I mained bads perspective yesterday but I keep seeing people say that Etoiles and Roier couldn't find anyone to kill for nine hours--and listen . Is it that they couldn't find ANYONE or that they didn't find who they WANTED to kill, because they did see Foolish and Cellbit didn't they? Two people in nine hours is SUPER ROUGH yes but they did run into red more than once and just didn't kill them so idk I'd be more into it if they really didn't see a single player for any time whatsoever but like. Just because they didn't see bad more than once ISNT the same; I think I just mainly take issue with the fact everyone is trying to give bad a hard time for not fighting while refusing to acknowledge the entire server wanted his head on a platter, why should he 1v12?? Like that's ridiculous how is that even content when he'd get curbstomped against that many people, every time people want to fight him it's only AFTER they gather at least four to six people to take him out like be realistic if you want to 1v1 id be like fuck yea but he knows that where there's one there's the rest of y'all not too far away I just do not get it he's not a coward he's using basic common sense (plus even when people offer a 1v1 they're ALWAYS in a vc telling their team where to go to jump him) that is there's One of him and An Entire Server who wants him Dead good as he is (and tbf i also disagree with etoiles calling their fight from the other day a 1v2 because it wasn't--it started as a 2v2 and fit ran because he almost died (I'm aware of the miscommunication btw I don't blame either of them!!! It really really sucks bc I'm sure etoiles could've escaped) but regardless it WAS a 2v2 that bad didn't even Want to take on initially, it would've stayed that way if fit had stuck around because he was going to die anyways ykwim but to say it was unfair when it didn't start off that way is eh 2 me mostly bc it sounds like they jumped Etoiles off guard as if Etoiles and Fit didn't engage them first) HOWEVER saying all that I think they really should try to encourage PVP in different ways than just "everyone go hunt down this one specific player" because then it's kind of just . Like that encourages that player to just hide because why would they fight that many people? Boosting the kill percentage helps but manhunts don't imo they'll just stay underground the whole time and I don't blame anyone who does outside of even Blue--like when Blue and Green were hunting Red, of course red is going to stay hundreds of blocks away to avoid PvP it's just numbers ykwim idk it's purgatory but when you being killed will set your entire team back because there's significantly less of you then everyone else I don't blame them really and I hope the admins can come up with a different way to try and get fights going

Things about "The Outpost" that are still killing me:
1. That airstrip was huge. And by the time we see Mayday and Crosshair on it they've been walking across it for a while, at the rate they’re going. The TK troopers don't see them at first, but once they do, they gather, see this:
Tumblr media
These two men, barely on their feet, clearly in pain, one of them unable to keep holding on to his crutch anymore, staggering towards them inch by inch, looking towards them for help--not a single one of the TK troopers offers any kind of assistance whatsoever. No one calls for a medic, no one rushes forward to carry Mayday. They all just stand there and watch. And when Nolan tells them to go, they do, because they probably don't see the clones that differently than Nolan does.
Yeah, Lieutenant Nolan is an asshole. He went from, "I'm probably going to dislike this guy," to, "LOATHE," in my book with a single line. He's a pathetic officer-wannabe who genuinely thinks of the clones as machinery he can push around and direct how he likes. He doesn't see the problem with kicking around someone like Mayday--someone who technically outranks him, I think--or the danger inherent in goading someone like Crosshair, because he doesn't see either of them as reasoning, emotion-having people who may just retaliate if pushed far enough. He's a snake and he deserved what he got. But his malice is more than matched by the TK troopers' apathy.
2. The way that there's ice and snow frozen to Crosshair's armor on the landing strip, and the fact that Mayday can't quite make it to the end of the tarmac, nor is Crosshair able to continue carrying him. They're both so cold and tired. They've both hit their physical limit and it would have been enough if anyone had cared to help.
3. Crosshair is--literally--stripped of everything that marks him as an imperial soldier or a soldier at all by the end of the episode, and most of it is stuff he casts aside himself. His CT number (in a way, when he gives Mayday his name), his helmet that he doesn't even look for (there as SO MANY good helmet metas out there, so I'm not going to get into it), his rifle (which he gives to Mayday to use as a crutch and doesn't retrieve when Mayday drops it), his backpack (I'm guessing it got too heavy so he threw it away to keep carrying Mayday), and even his armor, reflection mirror...sticker...things, and sidepiece (all of which are taken from him after he blacks out. I'm not real happy about the fact that the scientists at Mount Tantiss changed his clothes while he was unconscious). Of course, the last few function a little bit differently than they first ones do. The CT number, the helmet, the rifle, and I guess (?) even the backpack (though to a much lesser extent) are all Crosshair intentionally putting his imperial identity aside in order to help someone he sees as a brother and re-humanizing himself in the process. The last couple--the armor, the sidepiece--that's the writers telling us how vulnerable Crosshair is in his current situation.
4. The SNOW and the way it interacted with the CHARACTERS was just *chef's kiss* Credit to Joel Aron and the effects department, you guys knocked it out of the park.
5. Likewise, while I'm really glad The Bad Batch does list the names of the animators at CGCG who worked on each episode in the credits (because guess what--not every animated show does this. Sometimes they just list the name of the studio), I really want to know which animators were responsible for animating Crosshair this time around. Or at least Crosshair's shots, since the way I think it often works is that an animator will be assigned a series of shots and be responsible for animating everyone in those shots, because oh boy, was that a performance. Crosshair's animation has always been standout, I think partly (partly) because he's a character that doesn't actually talk that much, and says stuff he doesn't mean at least half the time, so there has to be a certain level of clarity and nuance in his performance for the character comes across the way the writers intend (and partly because being an ultra-expressive but taciturn bundle of emotions is a big part of Crosshair as a person). But the team working on this episode took something that was already great and kicked it up another level.
6. I want to know if Jennifer Corbett, the board artists, layout artists, the other writers, the directors, and others high-fived each other when they came up with the ice vulture symbolism and the rock-wings shot. I want to know if they knew we'd go crazy over it.
7. Mayday. Literally everything about Mayday. Mayday my beloved. *cries*
8. The look on Crosshair's face when he's about to pass out and sees the TK troopers coming still messes me up, because it's the closest thing we've gotten to a real smile (one that actually reaches his eyes) pretty much since he was teasing Echo in the med bay in "Aftermath." Crosshair's someone who's come across as to me passively suicidal since the moment he turned around after the droid fight in "Return to Kamino" and saw Hunter and the rest pointing their guns at him. Passively--meaning that he's not going to actually do anything, that he doesn't actually want to die, he’ll survive however he can, but that he's not exactly planning for the future, either. He'll just keep doing what he's doing until it (almost definitely) kills him. And. I mean. Crosshair's not stupid. He knows what killing Lieutenant Nolan means for him. I'm not saying that Crosshair didn't expect to wake up afterwards, or that he wanted to not wake up, but I am saying that he did decide that avenging Mayday and defying the Empire in whatever small way he could was worth dying for. And that he was very, very tired.
9. I'm so! Glad! That Crosshair's growth wasn't centered around Omega, Wrecker, Tech, Hunter, or Echo. We already know that he cares about them. Showing us the lengths he'll go to help a relative stranger instead and making that his breaking point does so much more to tell us that he's grown.
10. The thing that sticks with me most, though, is the fact that this episode wasn't just sad. It wasn't just unrelenting tragedy, or even like "The Solitary Clone," where overriding emotion of the whole episode is despair. I mean, yes, this episode is sad. It's tragic. You have Lieutenant Nolan's cruelty, you have the malice of the Empire, you have the apathy of the TK troopers, the dehumanization of the clones, the soul-crushing way in which Mayday and Crosshair find out that the clones were always going to be replaced, that inevitability, the futility (on one level) struggle that ends in Mayday's death.
But it's not just that. There's warmth, too. There's camraderie and a little bit of humor. Mayday, a survivor starting to see how pointless it all was, and Crosshair, who's so desperate for companionship at this point that he'd pack bond with a rock, snark back and forth at each other a little bit like old friends. Heck, this is the episode where we get the most profound act of compassion we've seen in the show so far. Mayday didn't have to disarm that mine and save Crosshair, but he did, and it matters. No, Mayday didn't make it, but Crosshair carried him through a blizzard for two days and made sure he didn't get left behind or die alone, even if he couldn't save him, and that matters. Yes, Crosshair's a prisoner now, but he chose to avenge Mayday, grab hold of his own humanity again, and told the Empire where to stuff it, and that matters. Kindness and defiance have their own meaning, even if they don't change the outcome. But the fact that this episode is more than just sad is, I think, why it's so harrowing in the first place.

here it is finally!!! bday valewis for @milflewis <333 happy birthday once more, i love you sooooo much!! sorry it's late, but i hope you enjoy it anyway <333
By the end of the second hour, even Valtteri was beginning to get antsy.
“Would you sit still!” Lewis snapped, after the third time Valtteri’s knee accidentally hit him in the side.
“Well, now you know how it feels,” Valtteri retorted. “You are so much more fidgety than I am!”
“I’m not this bad.”
“True… you’re worse.”
Lewis glared at him. Valtteri glared back. The effect was somewhat ruined due to the lack of light in the tiny space.
“For God’s sake,” Lewis said in the end, looking away so he could check his phone. “It’s been two hours!” His foot had been asleep for ages. Any longer and he was genuinely afraid it might fall off.
Valtteri, who was squished beside him, sighed. “Do you think they forgot us in here?”
“I’ll kill them,” Lewis muttered.
He had been in a variety of situations in his life, and he was proud to say he handled them all with some modicum of grace and patience. Occasional yelling and cursing, yes, and the memorable time he poured milk in Nico’s suitcase and let it stew for a night before Nico discovered it — but, for the most part, grace and patience.
This, however, had to be the strangest thing that had happened to him.
“How did we even end up here?” Valtteri said glumly.
“Well, George said you needed me so I came to see where you were, and then it turned out you were for some reason in this stupid little closet, and then we got locked in here, in the dark,” Lewis recapped succinctly.
“I was being rhetorical,” Valtteri said after a moment.
“I wasn’t,” Lewis retorted. Then, softer, “Sorry. I don’t mean to be rude. It’s just ridiculous, isn’t it?”
“Being stuck in a closet? No, this has always been my greatest dream,” Valtteri said sarcastically.
“Wow,” said Lewis after a moment. “Familiarity does breed contempt.”
“We have seen bits of each other very few other people have,” Valtteri pointed out. “It’s not familiarity, it’s the fact that both my legs are asleep and so is my butt.”
“I didn’t even know they made broom closets this small,” Lewis said, choosing to ignore the first part of Valtteri’s sentence for his own sanity. “How many brooms can you fit in this one anyway? Like, three?”
“Three brooms and two men,” said Valtteri dryly. “Have you managed to contact anyone yet?”
“Toto isn’t picking up, George’s phone is off, Mick seems to have tossed his in a lake, and no one is replying to me on the group chat,” Lewis listed off.
“Try Guanyu,” Valtteri suggested, not for the first time.
“I forgot to save his number,” Lewis reminded him, not for the first time.
“Check the drivers’ group chat.”
“Valtteri, I literally only have yours, George’s, Mick’s and Daniel’s numbers saved. And half of them don’t have profile pictures. I literally can’t tell which number is Guanyu’s.”
“Try them all, then.”
“My phone is at 3%, Val.”
“Power bank?”
“In my bag at the garage.”
“So we’re fucked?”
“Pretty much,” confirmed Lewis.
Valtteri sighed again, and then squirmed until he was in a more comfortable position. His elbow hit Lewis in the side, who made a muffled sound of indignation but otherwise decided to be nice about it.
“Better settle in, then,” Valtteri said glumly.
“Already have,” Lewis said.
The closet really was tiny. They were sitting on the floor pressed against each other, with Lewis between the wall and Valtteri, and both of them next to a disgustingly smelly mop. It smelled like someone had used it to mop up broken eggs, and then just not washed it. Lewis had been nauseous for the past hour and a half because of it.
“Who told you I needed you anyway?” Valtteri asked, after a few moments.
“George,” Lewis said. “He said you needed my help urgently.”
“Why would I need your help in the Aston Martin hospitality?”
Lewis shrugged. The movement was difficult in the tight space. “I didn’t question it, Val, all I cared about what that you needed me.” Then, “How did you end up here anyway?”
“Guanyu said you needed my help,” Valtteri replied, and then went still.
Both of them arrived at the same conclusion at the same time. “Oh my God, they played us,” Lewis said.
“This is a plot,” realized Valtteri. “A scheme. A — a conspiracy.”
“For what, though?” wondered Lewis.
“Also, why Aston Martin?”
“Yeah, why Aston Martin? Did you know I had to see Fernando on my way up here?” Lewis made a face. “He’s so annoying.”
Valtteri made a sound of exasperation. “Never mind Fernando,” he said. “Try calling someone else, Lewis. Call Lance if you have to—”
“I told you, I don’t have anyone’s numbers—”
A sad little chime from Lewis’s phone interrupted them. Both of them watched in dismay as the screen turned off.
“Dead?” asked Valtteri, like he already knew the answer.
“Dead,” Lewis confirmed, morose. He shoved it back into his pocket and thumped his head back against the wall. “Now what?”
“Someone must have realized we are missing, right?” Valtteri sounded like he was trying to convince himself. “They’ll find us—”
“Val, it’s been two hours,” Lewis said glumly. “And even if they’re looking for us, why would they look in freaking Aston Martin?”
Valtteri exhaled. “This is terrible,” he muttered, letting his head fall back against the wall too. “We are stuck here, in this tiny space, next to this stupid smelly mop, a dead phone, and no one to hear us yelling or banging the door. What the hell?”
“Well,” sighed Lewis. “If I had to be stuck with anyone though, I’m glad it’s you. I’m pretty sure if it was anyone else I would have killed them by now.”
“Even Mick?” Valtteri asked. “Or Sebastian?”
Lewis shrugged. “Probably,” he said with a little laugh. “Mick because he would take up too much space, and Sebastian because he would annoy me.”
Valtteri snorted at that. “Fair enough,” he allowed. Then, “If it helps, I’m glad it’s you, too. Not glad I’m stuck — but if I have to be, I’m glad it’s with you.”
“Aw, that’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever said to me,” Lewis said after a moment.
“You’re not serious?” In the low light coming in from the slats of the door, Lewis could see Valtteri frown. “Do you really think I don’t say nice things to you?”
“What— Val, no, I’m just kidding,” Lewis said, a little bewildered at the sudden change in tone.
Valtteri seemed to be taking this more seriously than Lewis intended, going by the way he was still frowning. “I know I am not very expressive,” he began.
“Val, you’re fine,” Lewis said. “Swear. You don’t need to, like, say anything, I always know what you mean. I know you, man. I know you care. About — about me.”
“Still,” Valtteri said after a moment. “Maybe sometimes it’s nice to say it.”
“Maybe,” conceded Lewis, “but, you know, you don’t need to say anything you don’t want to just ‘cause you think it’s what I want to hear—”
“I don’t,” Valtteri said. “Say things just because you might want to hear them, I mean,” he clarified.
“I know,” Lewis said softly. “It’s what I like about you. I always know you’re honest with me, even when—” he laughed a little, “even when it’s not what I want to hear.”
“You’ve had enough people try to manipulate you,” Valtteri said after a pause. “I never wanted you to be afraid of that with me.”
“I never was,” said Lewis, and it was true. “With you, I always knew… well, I always knew I could trust you, Valtteri. ‘Cause you’d never lie to me.”
Valtteri didn’t reply to that immediately. In the silence, Lewis became aware once more of their proximity, forced though it was — the way Valtteri’s body was pressed against his, the way he could feel Valtteri’s chest move with each breath he took. It was not the first time they’d shared space like this, but it felt different this time. Something about this entire situation felt charged somehow, and it was not just due to the tight space or the smell of rotten eggs.
“Is keeping a secret considered lying?” Valtteri asked in the end.
“You mean lying by omission?” Lewis considered it. “Why do you ask?” It felt strange to think that there was stuff Valtteri might not have told him. He had always been under the impression they knew each other through and through; that was just what happened when two people who were meant to find each other finally did.
Valtteri exhaled slowly. “You know how I said that sometimes it’s nice to say things you’re feeling, even if you don’t have to?”
“Yeah,” Lewis said.
“Well, I have been hiding something I’ve been wanting to say,” Valtteri said. “Though… maybe it’s not as much a secret as I thought.”
“What is it?”
In response, Valtteri simply reached out and intertwined his fingers with Lewis’s. He didn’t say anything — but then he didn’t need to. It clicked, and it was like Lewis had known it forever. Maybe he really had.
“What, that you like me?” he asked, looking at their joined hands resting on his knee.
“That — that I love you,” Valtteri corrected, haltingly. “I always thought… how could you not have known?”
“I do know,” Lewis said, and squeezed Valtteri’s hand. The revelation did not really feel like one. The only thing strange about it was hearing it out loud — or maybe the situation in which it was being said. In his head Lewis had always imagined it would be during a day out, or maybe a night in, something more pleasant… but then again, anything was more pleasant than a closet and dirty mops.
“You know?” Valtteri sounded surprised.
“Yeah,” Lewis said. “Like I said… you don’t always need to say things for me to understand. But,” he added, “it is nice to hear it.”
“And?” Valtteri asked after a moment.
“And I love you too,” Lewis said simply. “I thought you knew.”
There was another short silence, and then Valtteri said, sounding a little awed, “Yes, I suppose… I think I did.” Then, “Why didn’t you say it?”
“Oh.” Lewis thought about that for some time. “I don’t know, actually,” he said in the end. “If it was anyone else I would have been afraid, but… with you, I never was. So I don’t know, really. Maybe I was just waiting.”
“For?”
“For you to say it.”
“You wanted me to make the first move?”
Lewis shrugged. Their hands were still joined. “It felt important that you should. I don’t know why, Val.”
“You know that I want this,” Valtteri said quietly. “That I want you. That I have for a long time.”
“Yeah,” Lewis breathed out. “And you know that I’ve felt the same for just as long.”
“Then,” asked Valtteri, “what more are we waiting for?”
All Lewis had to do was turn his head towards Valtteri, and then Valtteri’s mouth was on his. He turned his body into Valtteri’s as much as he could, Valtteri mirroring his movement, both of them laughing into the kiss as he accidentally knocked into a bucket.
“Ow,” Valtteri said against Lewis’s mouth, his free hand sneaking under the hem of Lewis’s shirt.
Lewis giggled. “I could kiss it better?” he suggested, and pecked Valtteri’s lips without waiting for a reply.
“That does help,” whispered Valtteri, and Lewis laughed again.
Valtteri’s hand was warm on his skin, leaving goosebumps as it went higher. Lewis didn’t have much space to move, so he settled for trying to put his arms around Valtteri’s body, his weight settling against the locked closet door.
He could hear dim voices just outside, and was vaguely made aware of the fact that someone must have walked into the hallway their secluded little closet was in, but for the first time in a couple of hours he didn’t feel like doing anything about it. He couldn’t feel his legs, but he could sure as hell feel Valtteri’s hand on his chest, fingers ghosting over his nipple, and he could feel the tightness in his own pants, and Valtteri’s hard-on against his thigh—
“There’s people,” he managed to say in between kisses.
“Fuck people,” Valtteri retorted, somehow managing to pull Lewis closer.
Lewis laughed. “No, fuck me—”
Of course, because this was just the kind of luck they had, that was when the door was pulled open forcibly. Lewis, who had no time to brace himself, and who’d had his weight supported by the door, spilled out on the floor, Valtteri on top of him. He only narrowly escaped hitting his head on the hard floor.
“Shit,” he gasped out, wincing as the feeling returned to his legs in a violent flood. His shirt was half rucked up, and Valtteri was red in the face. He was pretty sure it was obvious what they’d been doing.
“Is this a joke?” demanded someone above them, and Lewis groaned when he looked up and saw Fernando standing there, arms crossed. Lance was there too, looking stunned, but Lewis decided to focus on the bigger problem.
“Yes,” he snapped, glaring upside down at Fernando. “I love being locked in broom closets in my free time.”
Fernando looked unimpressed. “Well, I always knew about the closet,” he snapped.
“You’re not funny,” Lewis retorted.
Valtteri sighed, sitting up. He held out a hand to help Lewis sit up too, and then said, “Well, at least we’re no longer in there.”
“Congratulations,” said Fernando dryly. “Why are you here anyway?”
“I told you, it’s my new hobby,” Lewis told him as he got to his feet. “I do the best thinking of my life in small dark spaces, you should try it. It really gets you in the right headspace for driving.”
Fernando looked like he genuinely couldn’t tell if Lewis was joking or not. Valtteri stifled a laugh, and then said, “Well, I suppose we should be on our way then, Lewis?”
“Yeah, sure,” Lewis said, dusting his trousers off. He took an experimental sniff at his shirt, and breathed a sigh of relief when it didn’t smell like a dirty mop.
“Oh,” said Lance, appearing to come back to reality. “So this is what Mick said he needed my help for.”
“Of course he’s in on it too,” groaned Lewis.
“In on what?” Fernando asked suspiciously.
“Oh, the closet thing,” Lewis said. “He wanted to know how I prep for races.”
“I never saw you do this before,” Fernando said, narrowing his eyes.
“Like I said, it’s new,” Lewis said.
“Why a closet here? Why not one in your hospitality?”
“It has to be a really gross one,” Lewis explained. It was getting harder and harder to keep a straight face, especially because he could tell Fernando was listening carefully. “The smelliest one you can find. See, if you can ignore the smell, you can ignore any distraction. Helps with the driving, trust me.”
“I have tried it, it does work,” Valtteri added, and then reached out to take Lewis’s hand again.
Fernando either did not notice or did not care (Lance was back to texting on his phone, probably apprising Mick of the situation). “This closet thing,” he said, and then, “No… you are messing with me.”
“When have I ever done that?” Lewis asked solemnly, making a wounded face. “I’m telling you, it works. Just try it. In the meantime, Val and I have to go.”
“Bye,” Lance said without looking up.
“Bye,” Lewis said, and then thumped Fernando on the shoulder with his free hand. “Later, Fernando.”
“Do you think he bought it?” Valtteri asked the moment they were out of earshot.
Lewis laughed. “Oh, he definitely did. But never mind him,” he added. “I don’t know about race prep, but I can think of a few other things we can do in closets.”
“Must we?” asked Valtteri. “We’ve got two perfectly good hotel rooms, Lewis. I really do not want to be stuck again.”
“Fine,” said Lewis, grinning. “Hotel room it is, then.”
They were still holding hands as they emerged out into the paddock. Most people looked too busy to care, but the ones that did notice them didn’t look all too surprised. Lewis supposed he and Valtteri had never really been as subtle as they’d thought themselves.
“Is it okay to kiss you?” Valtteri asked.
“For you? Always,” Lewis said, and smiled against Valtteri’s lips when he kissed him.

The Lady and the Lord
Chapter 7
Eddie munsom x fem!reader
This is a repost since the old blog doesn't work anymore. 🥰
Chapter summary: pur young adults are stuck in the Upside Down and they do need to get back. But this experience might not be all bad.
Chapter warnings: spoiler season 4, blood, injuries.
Tumblr media
If someone told me this morning I'd find myself fighting demonic creatures in the UpsideDown... again... I would've scoffed... loudly.
But yet... that's exactly what I'm doing now: fighting demonic bats in the Upside Down with... oars.
We got rid of some bats that were biting on Steve's sides, but they keep coming and coming.
"Nancy!" I scream as she's attacked by a bat on her back "Stay still"
I strike with all the force I got, the bat whimpers and flies away.
Eddie and Robin got here too, luckily I might add because there are way too many bats for only three people, one of them being held down too.
As they fight off some of those creature I turn to check on Steve who managed to free himself from the bat's hold around his neck and grabs its tail.
"Come here"
"Shit shit shit"
We're all busy using everything possible to hit and kill these things. As I'm about to hit another bat away, another one attached itself to my left arm, biting down.
"Fuck!" I instinctively yell, shaking my arm to get rid of it, but no use.
"I got it, I got it" Eddie runs towards me hitting the bat to the ground and I immediately impale the thing.
"Thanks" I breathlessly say and he nods.
We turn around hearing Steve grunting, seeing him smashing the same bat, that held him down, on the ground and at the end ripping the creature in two.
Quite the hot scene.. if you ask me.. but anyway, the most important thing is that he's.. alive, not sure if he's okay, but he's alive.
I run to him, along with Nancy.
"Steve.."
"Jesus H. Christ!" I hear Eddie yell out of frustration.
"Oh shit... how you feel?" I say looking at Steve's wounds.
"Well, they took about a pound of flesh" he tells us "but other than that, yeah, never better"
"Uh, do you guys think these bats have, like, rabies?" Robin asks suddenly, as she looks at one of the dead bat on the ground.
"What?" Steve asks, very confused.
"It's just that rabies are, like, my number one greatest fear. And I think we should probably get you to a doctor, like, really soon, because once symptoms set in, it's too late. You're already, like, dead." She rambles.
"Robin, I'm sure-" I start, wanting to reassure her, but I get cut off by the sound of creature chittering.
We look towards the noise and see those bats again, flying towards us, but not quite... they gather around the gate.
"All right. There's not that many" Steve tries "we can take 'em. Right?"
More chittering... and more bats coming.
"You were saying?" Robin says.
"Shit"
"The woods. Come on" Nancy starts to run towards the woods and we all follow her carefully not stepping on the vines.
We ran until we arrive to the Upside Down version of Skull Rock and hide under the stone waiting for the bats to fly beyond that place. All ears to see when the right time to come out arrives.
"Oh.. okay. That was close" Robin comments as we get up.
"Yeah, too close" Eddie replies in a small voice.
"Oh sh.. shit" Steve whispers as he lean on the rock for support.
"Steve.. jesus" Nancy's immediately by his side.
"I'm fine. I'm fine" he replies.
"You're clearly not, Stevie. You're losing too much blood" I tell him getting closer too.
"Yeah exactly" Nancy agrees as together we look closely at those bites.
"C'mon, c'mon sit" she tells him.
Steve with a painful grunt sits.
"Oh" Robin comes closer too.
"That's... a big bite" I comment "does anyone have something to use as.. a bandage or something?" I ask.
Nancy immediately rips her shirt.
"Okay" Robin kneels down with us "so the good news is I'm pretry sure wooziness is not a symptom of rabies. But if you start having hallucinations or muscles spasms, or you start feeling aggressive, like you wanna punch me, let me know."
"Robin" Steve stops her.
"Yeah?"
"I kinda wanna punch you" he says, making me giggle with some relief.
"Sense of humor's still intact. That's a good sign" she laughs nervously and turn to look at me, I nod to help her calm down.
Nancy is ready with the "bandage".
"Here" I help Steve standing straight off the rock, just enough to let Nancy cover his wounds.
While Nancy finishes knotting the ripped shirt on Steve I get up and walk close to Robin as Eddie climb up a big stone to get a better look at the surrounding, I think.
"So, uh, this place is like Hawkins, but with monsters and nasty shit?" He asks turning to us.
"Basically, yeah" I answer.
He just nods and goes to climb back down, but Nancy warns him.
"Watch out for the vines. It's all a hive mind."
"It's all a what?" Eddie says confused.
"All the creepy crawling around here, dude. They're, like, one or something" Steve tell him "step on a vine, you're stepping on a bat, you're stepping on Vecna"
"But everything from our world is still here, right? Except people, obviously?" Robin asks.
"As far as I understand it, yeah" Nancy replies.
"So, theoretically, we could go to the police station and steal guns and grenades and whatever we need to blow up those bat things that are guarding the gate" Robin suggests, in her ramble.
"I highly doubt the Hawkins PD has grenades, Robin. But guns, yeah, sure" Steve tell her.
"We don't have to go all the way downtown for guns" Nancy starts "I have guns in my bedroom."
"You, Nancy Wheeler, have guns, plural, in your bedroom?" Eddie asks, completely surprised.
"Full of surprises, isn't she?" Robin chimes in.
"A Russian Makarov and a Revolver" she specifies.
"Yeah, you almost shot me with that one" Steve remembers.
"You almost deserved that" Nancy replies with a smirk.
Nancy and Steve shares a long stare, luckily, interrupted by Eddie throwing his denim vest.
"For your modesty, dude" he tells him.
"Wait... Nancy" I say, turning to look at her "does that mean you still have my shotgun?"
"I think.. the one Hopper gave you at Starcourt?" She asks and I nod "yeah.. I think I still got it"
"And you have a shotgun.. I shouldn't be surprised anymore.. but shit" Eddie comments.
Before I could answer him another earthquake interrupts us, and makes us fall to the ground.
Nancy against Steve, who holds her as best as he can, me against Eddie next to Robin.
I instinctively grab his hand, more to hold onto something than anything else at this moment, and I feel his other hand holding me close.
Once the earthquake stops Eddie speaks up.
"So guns seem like a pretty good idea to me"
"Definitely" I agree and I get up, helping Robin too.
"So, what are we waiting for?" Steve says, walking in the direction of Nancy's house, torch in hand. "Let's go"
"Yes, mommy" I mutter.
"I heard you" he says back.
I flip him off and, with the others, I follow him.
I walk along side Eddie noticing his nervous demeanour.
"Hey" I softly calls.
"H-hi" he replies.
"All good here?" I ask.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah" he quickly says.
"You know" I start, wanting to make him feel a little bit better "the first time we faced these kind of things, uh, I was scared shitless.. I didn't know what those things were, I didn't know where they were coming from, I didn't know why they were here."
"Must've been terrifying" he comments.
"Yeah, a lot, but now, if I think about our first experience... well, that looks like an easy D&D campaign. The easiest you could think of" I say with a small chuckle, noticing his small smile I continue "You're dealing with the worst of them all and you're behaving so so much better than me back then"
"Now you're just saying that" he says, sending me a sceptical look.
"You don't believe me, my lord?" I ask faking offence, putting my hand on my heart.
"I think, m'lady, that you're being simply too kind" he replies.
"I'm just being honest" I tell him "if it wasn't for those kids I would be dead by now. Not because of those creature, but because of fear" I let out a small laugh.
"You're saying we shouldn't worry then?" He asks.
"I'm afraid we should be worried... this thing is.. far worse than anything we've faced before. I'm not one to sugar-coat something. But.. the thing is that each time seems worse than the previous one, yet we managed to survive each time, so... I'm hopeful" I turn to smile at him.
"Shit.. we do need you at Hellfire. Smart, pretty, great sense of humor and... very cool rings too... perfect" he smiles, and I could simply melt in this exact moment. I look away quickly, trying to hiding my embarrassment.
"Not as cool as yours" I say looking everywhere but him.
"Oh these?" He ask, waving his hands in my face playfully and I laugh, trying not to stare at his hands too much... his hands are just.. too distracting.
We stay silent for a while before I remember something.
"Oh, uh.. I made you something" I tell him, checking my pockets, hoping I didn't lose it somewhere.
"You.. you made me something?" He seems surprised.
"Yeah" I still checking until I find it. "Here... helps with the fidgeting"
I hand him a small black beads ring.
"Wow" he simply says.
"Hope it doesn't ruin your metalhead look" I joke.
"You kidding? This would only make it better" he says. "Thank you. That's very sweet of you, m'lady"
He winks.
"Shut up" I smile again, feeling my cheeks warming more and more as he just looks at me with that sweet smile.
"Why do you know how to use a shotgun?" He suddenly asks.
"Hopper taught me" I answer with a sad smile.
"Oh... cool of him." He comments.
"Yeah. He had so much patience" I chuckle at the memory, looking down with a sad smile.
"Hey.. I'm sorry" Eddie sweetly whispers.
"Don't be. You didn't do anything." I smile at him.
I see him reaching out to my hand but Steve's voice stops him.
"Hey" Steve slows down to catch up with us, and I see Eddie rolling his eyes.
"How's your arm, honey?" Steve asks me.
"What? Oh" I look down to my left arm "Oh, uh.. not that bad, I think"
"I think it needs a bandage or something" Steve says, ready to run up to Nancy and Robin and ask them.
"I got it" Eddie chimes in, he seems almost annoyed though.
Eddie grabs his bandana from his back pocket and goes to wrap my arm in it.
"I'm gonna ruin it" I protest moving away.
"As if I care more about a bandana than you" he instantly says. Surprising not only me and Steve, but also himself I think, considering he widened his eyes slightly.
"Stop complaining, honey" Steve says.
Eddie glare at him just for a second before wrapping the bandana around my injured arm and I hiss at the pain.
"Sorry" he softly says.
"Nah, it's fine" I groan.
He finishes rather quickly. "Here, m'lady"
"Thank you" I say rubbing my arm, just slightly.
"Hey hey don't rub it" Steve stops my movement.
I scoff. "I'm gonna see if Robin and Nancy too will treat me like a child"
I walk faster towards Nancy and Robin.
"Hey, oh! Oh shit, uh, your arm! Are you okay? Do you feel any-"
"I'm fine, Robin. Don't worry. I actually didn't even notice until Steve pointed it out" I chuckle.
"Good.. Good.. but, uh, tell me if you don't feel good okay?" She asks and I nod.
"Promise?" Nancy asks.
"Promise" I say.
I walk a little slower to stay a bit with my thoughts.
I can hear Steve and Eddie talking, but I don't pay too much attention to them at the moment. Focusing instead on the shotgun and when Hopper taught me how to use it.
"Why do I have to learn how to use this?" I asked Hopper, annoyed, as he hand me a shotgun.
"Because, since you refuse to accept any sort of help from me, I'm gonna at least teach how to defend yourself" he answered, exasperated.
"I just refused to live with you" I clarified.
"Exactly" he said "you live alone, it's dangerous. Now again."
I aimed at the empty bottles in front of me.
I shot.
Missed.
"Fuck" I muttered.
"Language." He warned "you're getting closer though. Practice makes perfect. That's how I became... me" he adds proudly.
" Oh. So you're saying you're perfect now?" I challenged with a scoff.
"How come you're so quiet with everyone, but with me you're this noisy?" He spat.
"I..." I stuttered. It was true, he was one of the few people I was comfortable enough to be... a bit louder.
I looked down, ashamed, and heard him sighing.
"Come here" he said patting a spot beside him on the fence.
"I'm sorry" I quietly said with a sigh.
"Nah.. don't apologise. Actually.. it's good you're noisy with me" he assured me.
"Why?" I asked, not understanding what he meant.
"Because it means you trust me enough to speak your mind" he explained. "I see you with those kids, that Wheeler girl, and Joyce's son and that... one with the cool hair"
"Steve" I reminded him.
"Yeah yeah that guy. I see the difference between you talking with them and you talking with anyone else."
"Really?" I asked, once again.
"Yeah! You see, when you talk to your friends you're visibly calm, open and you actually talk, joke and get angry too. But when it's someone you don't know talking to you, you wrap your arms around you, shielding yourself, you talk very little or not at all, you play with your rings to have some sort of excuse not to look at the people you're with." He explained.
I never thought he actually cared this much about me.
"And you noticed all that?" I asked, more to not show that I was happy about it.
"Of course." He nodded "That's why, even though you're getting on my nerves with your comebacks.. I'm also very proud."
I laughed and he did too.
I miss him. Fuck... I really do.
When I hear Nancy's name I snap out of my mind.
"... what happened between you two" I hear Eddie saying. "But if I were you, I would get her back. 'Cause that was as unambiguous a sign of true love as these cynical eyes have ever seen."
Obviously, Steve still has a thing for Nancy.
I hope they sort this out... I don't want him to suffer again.
"What about you, uh?" Steve asks back.
"What about me, Harrington?" Eddie teases.
"Oh I think you know" Steve laughs.
"What? Want me to admit my feelings for Y/n? Saying that she's the only thing I've been thinking about since they paired us up for that stupid project? Or that she's so beautiful that all I want to do is just look at her.. maybe that's why I've been failing O'Donnels' class this whole time."He lets out a small laugh "everytime Henderson or Wheeler mentions her, for whatever reason, I can't help but feel jealous they get to spend so much time with her while I was too much of a coward to talk to her...Fuck.. I'm screwed, man" Eddie rambles, I'm speechless, I never thought he feel this way about... me.
I need all my strength not to turn around and ask him to tell me more.
"Why would you be screwed?" Steve's confused.
"Because... she deserves so much more. I can't do that to her" Eddie replies defeated.
"Let her decide that, uh?" Steve pats him on the shoulder.
Good answer, Steve.
I hear silence for a moment before Eddie's answer.. or more, question.
"There's nothing between you and Y/n, right?" He sounds insecure, almost.
"Man, you just made a whole speech about why I should get Nancy back, not even a few minutes ago, and now you ask if there's something between me and Y/n?" Steve asks in disbelief.
"Uh.. yeah" Eddie simply answers. "You call her 'honey' a lot"
"No, man, there's nothing. She's my best friend since..." He puffs, thinking "ever."
"And, uh, there has never been anything? Like at all?" Eddie checks.
"Well... I did have a crush on her.. for a while, but then we grew apart and... yeah it changed. Then Nancy happened..." Steve explains and I hear Eddie letting out a sigh of relief, but then Steve adds casually "We were each other's first though"
"Uh? What-"
Another earthquake interrupts him.
"Oh shit"
"Okay, second on my list of lists favourite things, earthquakes. Seriously, I'm unsteady enough as it is" Robin says.
I'm holding onto a tree and I see Nancy running and Robin calling for her.
I turn around to check on the boys and nid my head towards the direction Nancy went to and we quickly follow her.
When we spot her, thankfully, the earthquake ceases.
"C'mon" she tells us, walking towards her house.. or this alternate version of it.
"Thank god we were close" Robin breathes out.
"Yeah" I say out of breath.
The house... matches with the rest of the Upside Down, obviously.
Here the cute, clean rooms are dirty and there is this dark dust all over, and the vines are crawling over the walls and the furniture.
"Might be time to get a maid, Wheeler" Robin says, trying to enlighten the mood I think.
"C'mon. I don't want to stay here longer than we have to." Nancy walks upstairs.
"Agree. Definitely don't wanna add 'creepy dimension' to the weird places I had a panic attack in" I blurt out following her.
The others close behind us.
Once we get to her room, Nancy immediately goes to her wardrobe and takes a shoes box.
When she opens it, though, there are no guns... only a pair of shoes.
"Those aren't guns" Eddie sarcastically points out.
"These heels are pointy, but I was hoping for something on the line of a deadly projectile" Robin adds.
"I don't understand" Nancy comments, looking at me.
"You sure you left them here?" I ask.
"Yeah, maybe you left them somewhere else" Eddie tries, getting agitated.
"There's a six-year-old in the house. I know where I keep my guns" Nancy almost snaps at him "and also, I threw these away years ago"
I look down on her desk, thinking, but I notice some notes. Chemistry notes, I helped her writing them so we could practice at home... three years ago.
"Nance.." I say, handing her the notes.
"I get that grades are important to you two, but perhaps studying can wait till we get out of here?" Robin suggests.
"These are from sophomore chemistry." I explain, Nancy looks at me, catching up on what might be happening here.
"Yeah.. and this... this wallpaper, this is old wallpaper" Nancy informes moving around her room to look at the rest "and this mirror, this went to a yard sale. And you" she grabs a stuffed animal "You're not supposed to be here. No, I gave you to cousin Joanna two years ago"
Nancy then moves to grab a diary.
"What is it?" Eddie asks.
"Nancy? You're freaking me out" Robin urges her.
"This doesn't look good" I comment shaking my head waiting for Nancy to confirm my suspicions.
"I think the reason that my guns aren't here is because they don't exist yet" she answers.
"They don't... exist?" Eddie repeats, tensing up more and more each second.
"This diary should be filled of entries. It's not. The last entry is November 6, 1983. The day-"
"Will went missing" I cut her off, earning a nod from her. "The day the gate opened and everything started... we're in the past.. how?"
"I don't know" Nancy shakes her head, defeated.
Suddenly we hear Steve's voice yelling "Dustin! Dustin!" And we immediately hurry downstairs.
Steve's moving awkwardly in the dining room, looking at the ceiling calling Dustin's name.
"Maybe he really does have rabies" Robin suggests.
"Steve!" I call "What the hell are you doing?"
Steve points his torch to us, blinding us for a second.
"He's here. Henderson. That little shit, he's here. He's like...he's in the walls or something. Just listen" he explains breathlessly, pointing his finger up to make us pay attention to... whatever he heard.
As we listen closely, Steve keeps calling for Dustin, but we do manage to hear...his voice!
Oh shit.
"That brings us to the question you first raised" he seems to be saying.
"Oh shit! That's him" I exclaim.
Everyone starts to call for him, yelling his name, hoping he'll hear us.
"Guys! I don't think he can hear us." I grab their attention.
"Yeah, either he can't or he's being a total douchebag." Steve replies.
"Will found a way" I say.
"What?" Steve's turns to me.
"Will. He found a way to speak to Joyce through the lights" Nancy goes to turn some lights on, with no use, nothing turns on.
Steve points his torch to the chandelier. "Guys? You seeing this?"
It's like there is some almost tangible energy surrounding the chandelier and we all gather beneath it.
I reach out to touch it.
"Shit.." I breath.
It's a weird feeling, warm and ticklish.
As we touch the energy around it, it enlightens.
"It.. tickles" Steve comments.
"It's weird, but... pleasant" I agree.
"Yeah" Eddie turns to look at me with a breathed chuckle.
"Does anyone know Morse code?" Nancy suddenly asks.
We all shake our head no.
"Wait, does SOS count?" Eddie asks, earning a light scoff from Robin "is that.. is that good?"
"Yeah, definitely" I tell him.
Immediately Eddie starts to touch the energy in Morse code.
"Yeah, that's working"
We managed to hear Dustin telling us to go to Nancy's room, where they're bringing Nancy's sister's toy. It's supposed to help us communicate more.. effectively.
Hopefully.
We wait kneeling at Nancy's bed, the tension devouring us.
"C'mon, c'mon" Steve keeps mumbling.
I keep fidgeting with my hands and rings, my breath getting heavier and heavier, but suddenly I feel a hand holding mine. I look up seeing Eddie, sending me a reassuring look even if he was just as tense, but it helps my breathing getting even again. He doesn't let go of my hand, though, not that I complain about it.
Dustin's faintly voice snaps us out of our moment.
"You.. seeing this?"
A small mass of energy appears in front of us, just like the one around the chandelier.
When we hear Dustin's laugh we know it's working.
I look at Steve who's already looking towards me, with his "We're okay" look. The one he always gives me when he sees me nervous.
"We're not moving it, but we're gonna unplug it. Stand by" Dustin says.
The energy seems to disappear, but Dustin urges to try again.
"Try it now"
Nancy, unsure, start to "draw" something on the line of "Hi" in the air, basically.
Eddie holds my hand a bit tighter.
They all answer.
"Hi"
"Hey! Hi. That worked!" Dustin exclaims.
"Yes!"
We all let out a sigh of relief and cheer. Robin lets out some relieved giggles.
"Okay. Um.." Nancy starts to draw again.
S T U C K.
"St... stuck!"
"That's what we are" Robin mutters.
"Mhm Mhm" Eddie vigorously nods.
"You can't get back through Watergate?" He asks.
"What the hell's water gate?" Steve asks.
" 'Cause it's in the water and it's a gate" Robin simply explains.
"Oh"
"That's cute" Eddie comments.
"Yeah" I agree.
"Righ, uh... no it's..."
G U A R D E D.
"Guarded. Uh the watergate is guarded" Dustin catches on.
Oh smart boy.
"Perfect, yes yes yes" Steve exclaims.
"We think we have a theory that can help with that" Dustin tells us.
"Genius child." Robin comments, feeling more relaxed now.
"We think watergate isn't the only gate. That there's a gate at every murder site."
"Does anybody understand what he's talking about?" Nancy asks us.
"Nope."
"No"
"No idea"
So she draw a question mark.
"Seriously? How many times do I have to be right on the money before you guys just trust me?" Dustin's voice sound pretty worked up.
"Jesus christ. This kid's gotta get his ego in check" Steve comments, slightly exasperated.
"It's his tone, right?" Eddie chimes in.
"I know" Steve agrees.
"Hey, it's your kid" I tease them.
"Okay so.. how far is your trailer?" Nancy asks Eddie.
"Seven miles?" He replies.
"Nancy?" Robin speaks "uh, I know your house here is, like, weirdly, creepily frozen in time and shit, but haven't you always had bikes?"
"She's right"
"Yeah.. yeah we have" Nancy answers.
We then tell the others to go meet us at Eddie's trailer and we go find the bikes, quickly riding them to Forest Hills Trailer Park.
Hopefully, Dustin's theory is correct once again. Being permanently stuck in the Upside Down is not in my plan, definitely.
Eddie leads the way and we all follow him on our bikes. We don't take much to get there, luckily.
"That's gotta be a Guinness World Record. Most miles travled interdimensionally." Robin jokes as we get off the bikes and head to the trailer.
"And the prize is getting out of here in one piece" I reply.
"Just inhaled a bunch of that crap. It's stuck in my throat." Steve complains couching.
Entering the trailer our attention is immediately on the ceiling. The gate.
"This is where Chrissy died" Eddie explains. "Like, right where she died"
"I think there something in there" Robin warns.
Something from the other side, probably, is trying to pierce through the thin veil of the gate.
"What the hell is that?" Eddie asks as we slowly get closer to inspect it better.
Suddenly the veil is broken and we step back, watching as some mysterious slimy material fall from the crack.
Steve get closer, carefully and we follow close behind.
As soon as we can see on the other side of the gate we all let out a sigh of relief.
There they stand, upside down, Dustin, Max, Lucas and Erica.
"No way" Steve half exclaims.
Dustin laughs as soon as he sees us.
God.. never thought I'd miss that laugh.
"Hi!" He greets.
We a say hi back, shocked... shockingly relieved though.
"Holy shit, this is trippy" Robin comments.
"Yeah.. that's the word" I say with a chuckle.
"Bada-bada boom!" Dustin exclaims ecstatic.
"Okay what's the plan?" Steve asks "how do we.. get back there?"
We all look at each other, uncertain on what to do.
"We got an idea" Dustin tells us.
"We're gonna use, uh, a rope or something and, like, drag you back here" Max explains.
"Yeah, we gonna need something you can fall onto" Dustin says "can we use your mattress?" He asks Eddie.
"Uh, sure, man. Sure" he replies, still out of breath.
"Oh, and the sheets for the rope" he adds.
"Whatever you need."
"Hurry please" Robin asks.
The kids get to work, Dustin and Erica making the rope and Max and Lucas bringing in the mattress. They put it right under the gate, or.. from our perspective, over the gate.
"Those stains are, uh..." Eddie starts explaining, noticing the particularly visible stains on his mattress. "I dunno what those stains are." He finally say, visibly embarrassed.
I try to hold back an amused smile, never thought he'd be the type to get embarrassed over something like this.
The rope is ready and Dustin is about to throw it to us.
"Not quite sure how these physic's gonna work. But, uh...here goes nothing" he finally launch the rope that extends itself like normal gravity permits.
"There we go, and if my theory is correct" Dustin is holding the other end and then lets it go.
The rope stays put... unbelievable.
"That's crazy" I let out a surprised chuckle.
"All right, pull on it! See of it holds" he instructs.
Robin immediately goes to pull on it. It does hold.
"Holy shit"
"Guess I'm the guinea pig" Robin says ready to climb up.
She climbs the rope, grunting and as soon as she get to the top, through the gate, she falls.. she actually falls on the mattress.
"Oh thank god" she exhales "that was fun"
I smile, relieved.
I look at the others seeing if anyone wants to go after her.
"My turn, I guess" I say, not seeing anyone else stepping up.
I pull, experimentally, at the rope and jump holding me up.
I slowly climb up, shit.. never been the athletic type.
Once on the edge of the gate, I feel like being sucked and instantly fall on the mattress, back in our world.
"Shit!" I say as I land, with a grunt. "Fun, yes, but to never do again" I say with a laugh.
Dustin helps me get up so the others can come back too. Max immediately come to hug me and I do too.
"You're okay?" I ask her.
"Yeah, you? What happened to your arm?" Dustin asks worried.
"Nothing unusual" I joke and they smiles.
I see Eddie climbing and then falling.
"That was fun. Shit" He then grabs Dustin hand and get up, getting beside to me and nudging my shoulder playfully.
"All good here?" He whisper to me.
"Yeah" I smile at him.
Now It's supposed to be Nancy's or Steve's turn, but something's wrong.
Steve's screaming Nancy's name, she just stands still.
"Wake up! Wake up! Nancy!" He keeps screaming.
"Oh no no no" I mutter.
"Vecna" Max speaks.
Shit.

Something I have been talking about a lot on discord recently is how different modern Tarhos doesn't really view himself as a person a lot of the time.
Which makes him act so much different than his base verse who is just "If I don't consider myself a person that means they have broken me and I'd rather slit my own throat than let them win." For hopefully obvious reasons with how much he hates the systems he exists in to the point where he hates all nobility for purely the fact that they are nobility. Modern verse he's spent his life from the day hos mother tried to kill their family and almost succeeded he just happened to be the only one that woke up.
So when he spends all his life living in places he doesn't care for, because the foster care system isn't good at all (especially if you're afab) and as soon as he's out of it and in a group home trying to make something of himself he gets fed all these loes recruiters always tell. How he'll have all these nice things if he just serves for a number of years and that nearly killed him so many times, but one of the main things he picked up from that experience is that if you can't rely on whose next to you to be strong in the face of everything you really don't have anything.
He also picked up the idea that the only thing he's really good for is just being a wall for other people which is how he initially got into security. And both of those ideas are not only not true, but are also so harmful to himself as a person to the point where je doesn't feel like he has the right to talk to anyone about any of his issues. Robin only gets him to talk by getting him to talk about things that don't seem related until he's saying the quiet part out loud that he can pry at. Which is hard enough since he doesn't talk a lot to begin with and I think his reflection of his own self identity issues really show in how he dresses and carries himself.
In that he's not hurting for money and works for a pretty prestigious company that handles a lot of celebrities. He not only works security for Robin, but he's also worked it for Karth many times and I'm sure probably others. But... He wears old dress shirts/suits to woek and t-shirts you can buy in a pack of 5 for like 10$ and sweat pants at home, they don't fit well and they certainly don't make him look as good as he could. He also doesn't really do anything with his hair either, it's just pulled back and out of the way where it can't be pulled easy.
And once he actually starts to humanize himself and see himself as a person again he'll actually put in effort into his appearance. Haru will drag him out shopping, braid his hair, make him take care of his skin and scars and for once he'll actually keep up with it if only just to see the way he looks at him. But it will be a huge milestone eventually where with him looking better and happier and being more comfortable with pda and everything else, he will start acting more how he does in his normal verse just minus the dramatic nature of it and the sexualization of religion.
He'll look so pretty and probably a lot more approachable outside of work.

Piofiore Fated Memories - Nicola Francesca Review
Includes Spoilers...
I was going to write this with all the guys from Piofiore but I just can't do it there is so much for me to say and share pics that I'm sure tumblr will block me using too many pics so going to do each guy from there as separate reviews as I do their route. So far I only did Nicola and I only plan to do the good routes because I know the bad routes are super dark.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This man grabbed my attention from the moment he first winked I have such a thing for flirty guys so "Hello Nicola" my journey I was ready to begin with this beautiful green eyed sexy man. He isn't as flirty as I'm used to but there is something so attractive in how he caries himself and how he talks to Lili. You can tell he cares so much about Dante and has been there for him since they were little this is so honorable of him and shows true loyalty.
Tumblr media
His genuine need to protect Lili from the start is so sweet and gentle you can't help but love this man. He talks about being part of the mafia and don't get me wrong he has a rough side but I think he starts falling for Lili even before he realizes it. He lets his walls down so fast its not hard to see how they are so connected and the fact they have in common not the best childhood.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He gets jealous easily but I think thats because Lili is the first person who has come into his life that could truly be his and I think he is scared he could lose that.
Tumblr media
He goes out of his way to try to give Dante his life and get him out of the mafia and yes he betrays them which I really am glad they clear up in the end because he really did everything for Dante. That being said there was a strong bond between them that even Dante wanted Nicola to go to her when she was in danger. There was alot of ups and downs between these 2 but over everything he chose Lili even before his own life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The way he tenderly touches her is breath taking to watch. For a man who spends his life killing people the way he holds her the way he touches her is so sweet makes your heart melt watching how he interacts with her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The moment he gave in and kissed her the first time was like magic you felt yourself rooting them on then when he does this it was like awww moment. He had never wanted for anything or anyone besides to take care of Dante so when she was willing to give her life to save his he lost it. The battle he had been fighting to not hear her say she loves him and to not feel her touch his walls instantly crashed and she had his heart from there on out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He was so protective and the fact he was scared to leave her behind tells so much volume about his character and how genuine deep down he is everything else is for show to scare people as he needs to. The moment he gave in to his pleasure with her he couldn't get enough. This man is one of them insatiable men trying to keep their sex drive fed is going to be a task but I'm sure she will enjoy every moment. Then the moment he confesses he is in love with her I had tears in my eyes I was so happy.
Tumblr media
Then there is the one other that was so sexy in the short story area after when he says "Good Girl" I melted...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fight that ended it all he was even sexy when he made it clear to Roberto the shitty psycho cop that she was his. Of course jealous motherfucker couldn't handle it and when he tried to hurt Lili Nicola lost it and shot him cold blooded no thoughts just knew he wanted him dead more than any other. His love for Lili and Dante will be the reason he will kill someone with no remorse. That being said its one thing I love about him because honestly there are a few people close in my life and I would do anything to protect them no matter what. This is what you call a loyal man and that makes him already one of my favorites. Will he be my number one favorite for this game only time will tell but he does have a good happy ending route.
UPDATED REVIEW OF OTHER ROUTES CAN BE FOUND HERE!

"Mineta is infinitely worse than Bakugo." I know a lot of people don't like Mineta, and can understand why, but here's the thing: he gets punished for when he does something bad. He hasn't traumatized or bullied anyone, the girls work with him and Mina even does things to cheer him up when he feels bad. Bakugo has definitely traumatized Izuku. Izuku's inability to believe in himself, his introverted nature that led him unable to talk to a girl until Ochako, how he defends Bakugo no matter what he says or does, the list goes on, this was all due to Bakugo bullying him for more than a decade. I think what really gets to me is that whenever writers have Mineta behave badly, he is instantly expelled because UA has a "zero tolerance policy." Said zero tolerance policy is never there for when Bakugo bullies Izuku, attacks him, insults and threatens his classmates, and more. '"Bakugo's bullying was him trying to make Izuku be tougher." Ugh, no. Bakugo started bullying Izuku when they were little kids. And even if he somehow thought that at four years old, he wouldn't be telling Izuku to kill himself and attack him as a way to toughen him up. It's made much worse because it's almost like that's what the official story seems to be saying, or how people interpret it. "He's trying to toughen him up because he's his friend!" Ugh! "All Bakugo wants is to be the number one hero, like Izuku." About that, I don't think Izuku has ever said he wanted to BE the greatest or number one, just that he wants to be a hero. Bakugo is the one who keeps declaring he'll be the best, he's the one who attacks and insults his classmates, he's the one who gets pissed off whenever Izuku is able to make steps toward his own dream, as if Izuku succeeding ruins Bakugo's plans. "Bakugo's temper is meant to be funny to the readers, it's not supposed to be taken seriously." The people who say this will normally take something else REALLY seriously, whether it be Mineta's actions, Himiko Toga being a redeemable soul or not, Ochako's crush on Izuku, how the world views the Quirkless, and so on. "Bakugo's remark about Izuku committing suicide is blown way out of proportion, and his haters just use it as a way to demonize him; Izuku never even thought of doing it, so it was just Bakugo telling him his desire to become a hero was impossible." or "Bakugo's suicide suggestion was made at the very beginning before his real character was set in, so it shouldn't be used against him; after all, he's never said anything like that since. This is all said by people who just want to brush aside his horrible behavior, and act like the worst things he did don't count. I've seen this so many times, so many fandoms, that the worst things a person does are downplayed to the point that it basically makes them sound like a different character. Also, Izuku considered Bakugo his friend, and here's his "friend" telling him to go kill himself. How in the ever-loving hell can that be "blown out of proportion"?
All of this. Minoru has done some horrid things and I'm not telling anyone to like him, but he at least has legitimate moments of growth and character development. He's held accountable for his actions (you can argue if the series is too light on him, which is a valid argument, but it's better than Katsuki not being held accountable for his actions at all) and cares about others.

What do you think about the moment Dabi burned Toga’s home down? This isn’t a way to disagree with you btw, I just see surprisingly little people talking about it
When that chapter dropped, there wasn't too little people talking about it, plenty were, especially in the space I was in, because a widespread take on that scene was that Touya was like embracing the LOV as his fucking family or something
I saw lots of takes I both agreed and disagreed with. When the chapter came out I was already experiencing my hardcore rejection of the LOV found family bullshit so my reading wasn't so sappy of it, but I did read it as a moment of compassion for Touya out of everything else we've seen from him. And even now, when I'm pretty comfortable embracing Touya for the dramatic, generally uncaring person that he is in canon, I still feel that it was meant to come across as a soft moment for him. Too many things surrounding it still support that, but what I don't vibe with is:
"Touya is Toga's big brother!"--no
2. "Touya thinks of Toga as family!"--no where did people even get this take
And then a different type of take that I still feel is stupid:
3. "Touya was MAniPUlaTInG TOGA INTO STAYING A VILLAIN"--also no, what
Reasons the first two takes, to me, are dumb and are completely rejected by canon:
That moment was it, THAT WAS IT. THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE. I took the L on Toga going after Hawks for revenge, I got that part wrong, but I was NOT wrong when I said Toga and Touya are not about to form some dynamic duo and create this revenge plot together to solidify their friendship with the LOV. THAT did not happen. And at this point it's not going to.
Touya burning her house means a number of things now that we have more context on Touya's past, because at the time we didn't.
Touya and Toga and Tomura share similarities in their family lives, but what Toga and Touya have in common is that, unlike Tomura, their families are alive. So they both are left with this untouched grief of losing them, even though they're not gone. And this hits even harder when 9 chapters later we get the chapter where Touya WENT BACK HOME. Just like Toga. Looking at the moment in context, I think Touya was just hardcore relating to Toga, because why wouldn't he? He did the same. fucking. thing. she did. To some extent, he does know how she's feeling more than anyone else probably can.
However, that's where it stops. He relates, and then he burns the house down that holds nothing but painful memories for her. But he doesn't do this to his own house, and we know he could have because he burned that orphanage down, so it's SUCH a mystery why he didn't burn his own house down when he had the perfect opportunity. I wonder WHYYYYYY. Seriously though, I read him burning her house as him hardcore projecting, AND his way of telling her to leave it all behind like he did, because there's no going back, and there's no point in holding onto the past (funny coming from someone whose so tied to his past it's slowly cooking him alive). Toga says she views this as a kind gesture, and I think for Touya, it was kind. But the thing is that Touya and Toga are very different. Toga at that time was still holding onto some semblance of hope. We know this because she went after Izuku as soon as the war started. She isn't suicidal like Touya, she isn't sacrificial like Twice, she doesn't feel that she has NO reason to live like Spinner, and she doesn't want to actually get rid of everything like Tomura. She is nothing like the League, and MAN we are seeing all of that happening in real time now! Touya telling Toga to smile, imo, isn't as sweet and sappy as everyone thinks it is. Because Touya himself doesn't even believe in what he's saying. Touya talks about tomorrow, laughing, smiling. But meanwhile, he's trying to kill himself. So people reading this as this beautiful gesture of hopefulness to Toga (who at the time, still had way more hope in her than any of the LOV), I feel are ignoring Touya's character. He is the last person you should be taking "hopeful" advice from, as he himself doesn't believe in it, and he isn't sitting there hoping to see Toga smile by giving her Twice's blood. That's not what Toga is doing with it right now. Currently in canon she's having an emotional break down because of Twice's blood. So maybe don't look at that moment as this sweet optimistic message from Touya to Toga. But maybe that's just me.
Other things unrelated to just Toga and Touya about that chapter: THAT WAS NOT A HAPPY CHAPTER. Switch over to Spinner and Tomura and what do you see!! BADD bad things happening. AND THEY WERE BAD. We saw the fall out from it on Spinner, we saw what Tomura whose "sake" he was doing all of this for. Just, that was not a happy chapter, it was a melancholy chapter with a lot of hints of despair. The chapter cover is a picture emulating grief, spider lilies, Toga painted like Twice. And it directly contrasts with chapter 342 where it's much more light hearted and all three kids talk about their feelings toward their villains. It's not a happy chapter and it's not supposed to be. And further context with all the chapters that have come out since this support this.
Now, the last take:
3. Touya probably could manipulate people around him if he ever so wanted to, but honestly I don't see his character giving even that much of a shit to do that. He's got his mind focused on one thing and that's it. Why is he manipulating Toga to stay? He's not lol. My own guess is that if Toga did run off, he wouldn't give a shit. In fact, she DID run off in the PLF war and, well, he didn't give a shit. I don't think much has changed. Idk why I'm even entertaining this take because this was just another attempt at both hero standom and the radical villain standom who hate Touya (because he ruins their found family uwu) to make him out worse than he is. So I find this take incredibly dumb. Toga is the most free willing member of the LOV at this point, SHE ALWAYS HAS BEEN. She doesn't need Touya's magical AFO powers to make her stay.
I'm being very harsh on Touya, but he's still my #2 fav, and he's still very special to me and I still have the same ending in mind I've had since 2020 when I started the manga. The thing about Touya is that he really is this uncaring person, because the entire point is that he's detached himself. But what's funny is that he's been separated from his family members the entire story and he's been able to remain detached. As soon as Endeavor and Shouto are in front of him he's no longer keeping his cool (hehe). His fight with Shouto, the way his flames were going absolutely nuts reflecting his emotions reflecting on his past, TELLING SHOUTO HIS PAST CHOICES, and then of course the way the fight came to a halt with the panel of Touya and Shouto crying--those walls are starting to break. But it's happening in the most Touya-way it possibly can. The family he lost and is now trying to destroy with his entire being is what's getting through to him now, even Shouto! Who he doesn't know, and who he's certainly not done with.
So yeah, Touya rant about chapter 341--the night that chapter dropped was kind of annoying because of these 3 takes floating around but we've gotten so much more context on Touya since then that I can safely say this is how I view the scene. It was a relatable moment for Touya seeing Toga go back home, why wouldn't it be, and that's it.

Hello, I'm new to the jujutsu fandom, I've already watched season 1 of the movie and I'm in season 2 of jujutsu, I also follow the jujutsu manga, I liked your tumblr and started following you, I like your analyzes and you make me understand more jujutsu, thank you. I have a question, don't you think Sukuna is a boring villain, sorry, but he's too annoying, even Mahito is more interesting than him and it's impressive that Mahito gave more weight to the work than Sukuna, Sukuna killed Gojo and his death It had no significance in the work, it's something terrible, I think the author got lost.
Ah thank you so much! Glad the blog could add to the JJK experience!
Personally, I am getting a little tired of Sukuna never being phased. I'd understand his constant victories if we got more insight into his Cursed Technique but we still have no explanation for what he is and how he came to be, very little Sukuna info has been unlocked since the beginning so it feels kind of frustrating for me.
I can't tell what the author is thinking, but I think the number of deaths is getting to us as readers. People just keep on losing and dying with little impact on those that are alive. Deaths had a huge impact at the start of the story. Like S1, Junpei's death shook Yuuji so bad that he entirely changed his way of thinking. But he only knew Junpei for like a day. So when characters like Nanami, Nobara, Gojo and many more people that Yuuji has known for months die, I think equal levels of impact is expected on Yuuji.
But that doesn't happen.
We don't know Yuuji's mental state after witnessing his teacher die. The excessive focus on fights without slowing down to let the characters grieve or process what they've seen is likely impacting how we see Sukuna, his fights, and his powers.
Like why wasn't Yuuji freaking out more when Higurama died? What was he really going through when he saw Higurama and got reminded of Nanami? A moment's pause, just focused on the grief of that could up the stakes and make Sukuna, if not interesting, at least someone we can hate more.
Emotions and character interactions are what gives a story stakes. We care that Gojo died not only because he's the only person who can stand up against Sukuna, but also because he is someone we connected with emotionally from S1. His death will make characters we love devastated.
When you take away the emotion, the sense of loss and don't show that, the fights become boring. Yuuji's still moving and seems to hold the same attitude as the beginning of Culling Games while fighting Sukuna right now after witnessing multiple deaths.
You could say he's hardened his heart and has gone numb to everything but that's speculation as readers, it'd be way more meaningful if we see Yuuji falling into that kind of state, or be shown to have some kind of emotion and reaction.
My one big critique for JJK is pacing. It's fight after fight after fight. Okay, bad take when the manga is literally called "Sorcery Fight" but I am no stranger to manga/anime entirely focused on fighting (I've read a weirdly high amount of martial arts and hand to hand combat manga). Even in most fight-centric stories, we get breaks, we get characters talking to each other. Like how come we STILL haven't gotten a proper, extended interaction between Yuuji and Yuuta that isn't a fight? Has Yuuji even spoken to Maki? How does Ino feel about Choso?
I think it's why I enjoyed the Yuki v Kenjaku fight more. The fight was interspersed with moments of character interaction.
No stakes and impact makes it boring. Sukuna's the most dangerous villain now and he keeps defeating people without proper explanation or faltering in any real way so like, why would we care? Sukuna's going to win against anyone that isn't Yuuji, so what's the point? It used to be fun for me to try to understand how Sukuna does the things he does. I still enjoy watching him beat the shit outta people but i do admit it's getting tiring.
Sure, the CT and Domain expansions whenever an improvement is shown are very cool but it'd help if we could slow down a little and talk about the character interactions. Honestly Sukuna himself can remain a mystery but our MCs should get more backstory and emotional moments.
